Planning our wedding at The Reefhouse was nothing short of perfection. Not only is it a beautiful place but the wedding coordinator Cathy made every step of planning easy for us. We are from up north so this was a destination wedding for us. Our friends and family not only enjoyed our wedding but the beautiful resort as well. I can't put into words how wonderful our wedding day was. I wish I could relive it a million times! -

Absolutely breathtaking
Reefhouse gave me my dream wedding. Cathy went above and beyond with helping us pick food, Location at the hotel , table settings and getting back to any emails for the wedding. The hotel staff treated me and my guest as family and helped us whenever we needed it. -

Words cannot express our gratitude for Cathy! We are from out of town and she took care of everything. Even when the pandemic changed our original plans, Cathy was very flexible and accommodating. She worked with our wedding day coordinator, our photographer, our DJ, our pet handlers, and our other vendors. She also organized the food/catering, the room block, and the logistics of the day. Any questions or concerns we had, Cathy would be available via email or phone right away. Cathy is truly a professional and we are so thankful from the bottom of our hearts! Cathy and everyone with Marriott team helped make our special day magical, stress-free, and flawless. When the ladies were getting their hair and makeup done, Barbara delivered room service many times throughout the day and each time, she was genuine, sweet, and friendly! James, Abba, and Cory from the reception hall were just as amicable and attentive. The hospitality at the Marriott stood out to us and to our guests! If you are looking for a top-notch, quality team and stunning views of the Keys, Key Largo Bay Marriott is the perfect place to celebrate your special day! -

We celebrated my daughter’s baptism at Key Largo Bay Marriott on Valentines and it was perfect! Cathy was a pleasure to work with prior to the event, she is quick to respond and always helpful. VanCole who was on site the day of, was just as helpful and professional. They helped create a beautiful outdoor private lunch by the bay that my family and I will always remember. Also, the food was delicious! My guests all raved about how good their meal was! 10/10 -

From our initial site visit to our last day on the property leaving after our wedding, the Key Largo Marriott Team made our wedding weekend so special and was perfect from start to finish. Cathy is a veteran professional and it was great working with her as an out of town bride. All of our guests were so gracious in complimenting the food, the staff and the venue. Vancole, Andrew and Mo also paid attention to every detail on our wedding weekend and felt like part of our family. Also, chef Tony adapted the menu for all of our dietary restrictions and satisfied even the pickiest of eaters. People told us it was the best wedding they ever went to!
Visiting the keys for a wedding venue at first was an afterthought after looking primarily on Fort Lauderdale and Miami but the feeling we got when we visited made us know this was where it was meant to be. It was the perfect wedding weekend for us, our families and friends and the Marriott Key Largo absolutely a joy to work with. We hope to return soon! -

Choosing the Key Largo Bay Marriot Beach resort as our wedding venue was the best decision that we made! Our wedding was on Sept 1, 2019 where there were predictions of Hurricane Dorian hitting Key Largo but the entire team at Key Largo kept us calm and reassured. We started off working with Tamillia who was AMAZING throughout the whole process. She responded to all our emails and calls promptly. She answered all our questions and addressed all our concerns. When the wedding day came, Tamillia was off that weekend but she left us in the loving capable hands of Cathy who went above and beyond for us to make our day beautiful! When our photographer and videographer team cancelled one day before the wedding; Cathy recommended and got in touch with McLaughlin Photo and Video who quickly came to the rescue and were a dream to work with (I am attaching some of the photos that they took)! We can’t thank Tamillia, Cathy, Vancal and the entire team at Key Largo Bay Marriott Beach Resort enough for making our wedding day the absolute best and better than we ever dreamt it could be!
PS: The food and drinks were a hit with all of our guests! They are still talking about how much they enjoyed themselves!
If you are looking for a wedding venue; don’t even doubt going with Key Largo Bay Marriot Beach Resort, JUST DO IT, you won’t regret it!

We had an amazing experience with this venue. Everyone from event manager Cathy to the wedding day staff made it the best day ever. The food was incredible and our friends and family still talk about the food today. From the moment we entered the resort to the day we left we were treated great. Will will not regret have your most important day at this beautiful resort with its amazing staff. -

Kari Sent on 04/08/2018I had my wedding at the Marriott Key Largo in March and it was amazing!! It was everything I could have possibly dreamed of. Cathy is wonderful. She was even able to add strawberry daiquiris (my favorite drink) to the outside bar. My flower bouquet (see picture) was everything I wanted. I had this vision for this day since I can remember and my vision came true. I wanted a beach wedding, warm weather (it was 80 and beautiful - I’m from the north so it was freezing at home) and reggae music and I got all of it. Only I wish I would have ordered an extra hour of reggae music but all was good - we put on our Spotify reggae playlist. Also the photography vendor is great. We had Jen and she did an amazing job. I ordered an extra hour of photography to ensure I got all the beach photos that I wanted. Omg the orderves - everyone raved about them!! I don’t even remember what I ordered but there was definitely more than I ordered. And the dinner too, it was all just so good. Thank you so much to Cathy and team for an unforgettable wedding!!

Megan Sent on 03/05/2018Do not even consider getting married at any other venue in Key Largo... if not the entire Florida Keys! Everything you could possibly hope for and more you will find at the Key Largo Bay Marriott. My wedding was an absolute dream and it is all thanks to the dream team of Cathy, Chantal, Cindy, Kaila and so so many others. We came to the Marriott 6 weeks before our wedding when our initial venue was damaged due to Hurricane Irma. In spite of the stress and hurry, Cathy and her team were incredible. They accommodated our entire room block, worked with us on a food/bev package that was comparable to what we had committed to at the original hotel (so as not to exceed our initial budget), provided 5-star service to all of us the entire weekend...I could go on and on.
We did an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour which guests told us was the most beautiful ceremony they had ever been to and then 4 hours of dancing and buffet dinner on the 3rd floor of their restaurant. Everything was PERFECT! Interestingly enough, guests are still talking to us about the food and how delicious everything was.
Having our destination wedding weekend at a resort as beautiful as the Marriott also meant our entire party felt like one big location. Truly, it was even more memorable and special than I even anticipated. Thank you Cathy, Chantal, Cindy and co. for everything you did to give us the wedding of our dreams! -

Over 40 of our guests stayed at the resort and seemed very pleased with their rooms/suites as well as the service. Our reception took place at one of the two wedding venues offered at the resort -- Largo Key Ballroom. Cathy, the Wedding Coordinator, worked with us to personalize our menu and many other details of the reception. The diligent staff never ceased to amaze us with their friendliness and assistance. I would recommend this venue to any bride looking for a stress-free and enjoyable destination wedding! -

The Wedding setup was beautiful and the Reception couldn't have been better. Everything was beautiful and they made it so easy to relax and enjoy the day of the wedding. Lisa was great and answered all of my questions.

Christina Sent on 07/24/2017As many other reviewers have said before, Cathy Knowles is the absolute best! It truly is worth booking the Marriott just to work with her. When we went down to see the venue, I did feel it was a little dated/90s, but the layout and natural settings were still quite gorgeous and all of our guests (from people who had to squeeze into rooms to afford it, to partners at my lawfirm who could've bought the whole block themselves) were very impressed. Aside from Cathy, the entire staff is extremely attentive and responsive. We had events the days before and they were on top of everything, every time. Our guests also mentioned how on top of things the hotel staff was generally with rooms and whatnot. We had an amazing, beautiful and stress-free wedding experience. And I never got any slowing of response, despite my emailing and calling more than I would assume most people, even brides, do. We had so many custom and special elements and the Marriott just nailed every single one. The only negative I can say (besides the request to upgrade the property/rooms), is that the day-of coordinator was not so great. After having Cathy at our side for almost a year, listening to every request and making sure every detail was exactly perfect (and under budget to boot), the day-of coordinator showed up the day before rather clueless as to timing, layout and all the details about our actual event. Fortunately, she had it more together for the actual event and Cathy even showed up for a super smooth and absolutely perfect ceremony! The day-of coordinator also left before cake was served so there were a few glitches there (the 'extra' cake we had was served improperly as a whole tacky sheetcake instead of plated slices; and our guests didn't know cake and dessert were being served, which lead to a ton of leftovers, which, fortunately we were able to serve at brunch the next day and then take with us on our honeymoon down the Keys), but at that point I hardly noticed. -

Married, but let down
This place is beautiful and for the most part accommodating. We had a small intimate gathering. You pay $1,000 for the person who marries you and if you say your not religious they still talk about God... You pay $1,000 for the use of the beach, but if you don't pay for a florist, you have to hang the flowers on the arch yourself. We did provide our own rose petals as well....You have to bring your own music to connect to the speakers, but the reception is very terrible in that area. Cathy who was very sweet and sets all the wedding stuff up seemed most times to have her hands full and forgot things we had previously discussed. I feel like she needs an assistant. They had the room above the restaurant set up for us as a private area which was fantastic because the weather turned on us, but they didn't have enough wine for us and I only requested one kind; That they already made a huge profit on... They also over charged on beer and said we drank more than we actually did. Or their employees stole some beers from our reception and charged us. But honestly this seemed to be my biggest complaint about the employees because even at the pool they would tip themselves. I'm still waiting to hear back unfortunately from the alcohol overcharge for our reception.
It was a nice touch after the wedding to come back to Mr. And Mrs. Pillowcases and a bottle of champagne, but our copy of the marriage certificate was soaked and ruined....
The bed was also extremely uncomfortable and I didn't get much sleep at all because of it and I had to ask for cleaning service multiple times on one of the days. One of the rooms that we paid for had one issue after another. So much that in the restroom the vent was blowing huge chunks of stuff out.
Overall we did have a good wedding and people were happy with the way it turned out. I was just unhappy with being charged for alcohol we didn't drink and a few details in the rooms. -
