Marriage Chaplin
Hello everyone my daughter recommended Pastor Esterman and his lovely wife to us ,me and my husband have been married for seven years now. The service was nice the birds sang with the music here are eight ways to a good marriage.1. Always pray with each other in the morning.2. Communication is of the upmost important. 3. When you can't agree on something walk away and come back later and try again.4. A marriage should be 50/50 not 6040 nor 90/10 when a relationship is equal everything works out fine.5. Tell them you love them everyday and night.6. Kiss the cook for a great job preparing your meals.7. Share the chores around the house.8. Make sure that you are both having a good day check on them while the both of you are out and about. Be faithful and true to one another. -

Pastor Eastman made a special ceremony
Pastor Eastman was a pleasure to meet and is a very genuine and sincere person to conduct a marriage ceremony. He made everything as personable as he could and made sure my husband and I felt very involved the whole time. Him and his wife are very prompt with communication and their flexibility was unmatched. Wonderful to Work With!
I contacted MarriageChaplain as I was in need of an officiant for my wedding since neither my husband nor I had any connections elsewhere. Immediately I was amazed at the kindness & willingness to help from Pastor Eastman when I first spoke with him. He took the time to get to know my husband and myself in order to see which officiant would be the best fit. We ended up choosing Pastor Eastman himself and he was amazing for our wedding! We wanted a lively, joyful, but meaningful ceremony and he delivered. Phyllis, his wife, was also always so helpful whenever we were in correspondence. I highly recommend them for anyone's officiating needs for their own wedding! -

Great experience
We wanted a wedding ceremony during The Covid pandemic but the courthouse was no longer providing this service and we didn’t know what to do. We found MarriageChaplain online and we’re so grateful! We spent a lot of time reading each officiant’s bio and the many suggest service styles and vow options in their website. It was a lot of good information and made us feel like we could find the style that was right for us. The pastor came to our home and provided a delightful service for our immediate family. Our family all enjoyed his joyful and fun style. -

Lovely porch wedding
Having planned a backyard ceremony that would not include our legal marriage, my fiancee and I wanted a quick, easy, non-theistic porch wedding to legally marry us. Pastor Eastman was prompt and responsive to our wishes, and gave us a lovely legal wedding on the porch with our immediate families. -

Absolutely wonderful!
Pastor Eastmann made our wedding day all the more special. We had already had a small civil ceremony months prior to the wedding, so the wedding that he facilitated was for family and religious purposes, and he was simply perfect for that. He made a lot of wonderful suggestions along the way and was able to seamlessly guide us through the process. Very flexible and accommodating and happily incorporated what was important to us into the ceremony. We chose him based upon previous experiences with a friend's wedding and could not have been happier! Highly recommend! -

Pastor Eastman was kind and very wonderful to talk to and meet. We had our children before we were married but he was very accepting and kind about it and even incorporated them into our ceremony as well as our parents that were there. He made time for us the very week we called him and was always easy to contact and willing to give information or help. -

Excellent. Terry got to know us and that helped our comfort level and his ability to deliver a beautiful ceremony.
Terry was very personable and knew exactly what we wanted in a ceremony. He met with us for a rehearsal at short notice which put us at ease. All of our guests mentioned that Terry was an excellent minister. We highly recommend this service and could not be happier.-

Pastor John was amazing
Pastor John Kachuba was amazing! He was very responsive and very helpful in tailoring a ceremony that was appropriate for our situation. Despite having to postpone our wedding due to Covid pastor John was able to not only reschedule to meet our new date but offered to see if he could find someone to marry us for our elopement. -

Wedding Eloped
We loved Pastor Eastman, we had a priest call and cancel on us last minute leaving us stranded and having to reschedule everything. Pastor Eastman easily put us on his schedule with a better price then the one we originally had. He was friendly nice and made it such a smooth process. -

Wonderful, personal wedding services

Amazing and We highly recommend
From the first initial contact Marriage Chaplain was very responsive and made finding the right officiant very simple. Stephanie Smith was amazing to work with and made sure our ceremony was exactly how we wanted from the words she used to how we wanted the ceremony laid out. If we had any questions they were answered very quickly and very detailed. I am so glad we chose to hire Marriage Chaplain. -

Marriage chaplain.com found us the exact right person to conduct our wedding. They interviewed us and learned what we wanted. We really appreciated them taking the time for that. The minister was helpful and listened to our wishes. It made our ceremony more special to have someone who knew us and wasn't just reading from a script. -

Rev.Ria Roth was the very first person I had spoke with she was so nice and I instantly connected with her she did Link me up with someone else but unfortunately it did not work out. I got back in touch with Rev Ria and she immediately offered to perform my ceremony! Within a couple of days she had the entire ceremony put together she checked in everyday to make sure everything was ok and going as planned. The day of the ceremony was everything plus more I expected it to be she is absolutely heaven sent and made my day so special and I would recommend Rev Ria to everyone -

Ria Roth was our wedding officiant this September. I met her after calling marriage chaplain to find a good "fit" for our wedding. After speaking with her, I knew I wouldn't have to interview anyone else (and we didn't!) Ria is warm, an excellent listener, motivated, creative, and has so many life experiences that have led her to be an inspired, professional, creative officiant. I felt comfortable inviting her to our rehearsal dinner and wedding, because, truly, she quickly became a friend!
When we began working on our ceremony, Ria sent us several less common readings, passages, and layouts. She listened to what we were looking for, and when I told her I wanted a unique unity aspect of our wedding, she delivered! We designed three drafts of our ceremony, and Ria never complained. Everything was so smooth and perfectly executed the day of.
I am thankful for Ria's insight and kindness as she stood beside us on our wedding day. She is a special person, and we highly recommend her! Thank you, Ria!

Pastor Terry Carlisle was simply amazing. He was so flexible and sincere with the planning process. He has a great sense of humor and personalized the ceremony on what we what we loved about eachother. My grandmother came up to me after the "I Do"s and said he gave such great advice and beautiful words for the ceremony. It made me so happy that she approved :) -

Pastor Wayne Holmes was wonderful. He was extremely accommodating from our initial visit till and including day of ceremony. We wanted a nice, romantic, yet atheist and non-cheesy wedding ceremony and he provided just that. I am agnostic any my now hubby is a stanch atheist, so it was very important for both of us to have a lovely wedding while keeping "god" or anything else out of it except our feelings for one another. Pastor Holmes delivered exactly as I could have hoped for with a meaningful but non-religious ceremony. Thank you!!! -

MarriageChaplain.com was easy to work with. They were quick to respond and very helpful with the process. They gave us an quick and thorough survey, and based on made several good recommendations for officiates. The top one they recommended - Rev. Todd - was the person we ended up selecting. He was a great fit and Rev. Todd was absolutely wonderful! He was helpful in providing great suggestions for the ceremony and for also incorporating some of our ideas and desires to make the ceremony feel personalized and a perfect fit for my wife and I. He was fast to follow up and stayed in good communication. He was friendly, warm, and very easy to get to know. He also had fantastic ideas for helping to incorporate my children from a prior marriage into the ceremony, which was very important to me. The day of the rehearsal and the wedding he showed up on time and well prepared. He confidently and easily guided us through the rehearsal and ceremony. On the day of the ceremony he helped put us both at easy, and conducted a beautiful and fantastic ceremony. He also interacted very well with my children and the family / wedding party of both bride and groom. We received compliments on both Rev Todd and the ceremony from many attendees. Everyone in both families and the wedding party were thrilled with Rev Todd. I would and will highly recommend both MarriageChaplain.com and Rev. I used the " perfect wedding guide " to get a lot of information for my wedding which was in October 2013. I called "29 wedding officiants" and they were great. They responded to my message right away with an email that I filled out answering just a few questions about myself so they could recommend an officiant that fit me. They provide you with a list they recommended for what I was looking for and I had a chance to review them and even pick out what ceremony I wanted to have. I used Paul Ravenscraft and he was just great. He was such a nice man and did exactly what I wanted to for our ceremony. With the fee, it also included that he attend our rehersal also. I met him the first time at our rehersal, which was my choice, and was so happy with him!! He was very professional but yet made you feel as if you were friends for a long time. I would recommend him to anyone I know needing services that he provides. Overall...just a nice and sweet professional man that helped to make our day special. Thank you Mr. Ravenscraft!! -

I was looking for an officiant only 3 months before the wedding on a budget and marriage chaplain was able to help me out. I was terrified I would be stuck with an officiant I would dread but they came to my rescue! I went with rev. Frieda Heughs. She was extremely professional and met with me and my husband to personalize the wedding ceremony. She attended the rehearsal which was included in the price. She made our day special and flow smoothly. She even came in to visit me when I was getting ready to give me a hug and tell me how beautiful I was and how my husband and I were meant for each other even only knowing us the short 3 months. I not only met my reverend but a life long friend! -

We chose Reverend Walker for our wedding officiant. He was absolutely amazing and there for us 100%, even when some drama went down between us and another couple that was supposed to get married at the church a few hours later (the church messed up and double booked, long story) Rev Walker stepped in and stood up for us. -

I was really concerned during wedding planning about how we'd manage our ceremony and who would officiate since my husband and I are both non-religious, but we ended up choosing Rev. Paul Ravenscraft and he was absolutely wonderful! He was very flexible and gave us as much or as little input as we wanted in forming our secular ceremony, and the benevolent presence, warmth, and humor he brought to our day really made the ceremony sing for us and our guests. -

I can not say enough about the service that MarriageChaplain.com provides. My husband and I are of different faiths. Our faith is very important to both of us and I had no idea how this would work when we got married. I am more easy going and just wanted a person of GOD to perform the ceremony. My husband on the other hand felt more comfortable with a Catholic priest. Him being previously married and us not belonging to a Catholic church made it next to impossible to get a priest let alone afford one. When I found the website I wasn't sure if they would be able to help. I was so surprised on how they met all of our needs and wants with our very first chaplain. When we met with Bishop Charles Smith he was warm, funny, and just glowed with the presence of GOD and he was Catholic! The day of our wedding was so stressful but he made the ceremony relaxing and the most beautiful part of the whole day. I had so many people come to me and comment on how much they liked him and enjoyed the ceremony. You would have thought he had known the two of us for years. There was not a dry eye in the house. -

Our wedding room is our economy offering for couples who will marry with 2-6 friends in attendance and have little money to spend. They come to our church and marry in our sanctuary. It is plain, because the church believes in simplicity.
If they want something fancier, we have arrangements with the more traditional church across the street. But that costs a bit more, and many of our JP couples don't want to, or can't pay more.
Most of our couples choose to marry at locations throughout the 3 cities we serve, and thus can choose or create the ambiance they want. -

My now husband and I had a hard time finding an officiant that was 1.) Reasonably priced and 2.) Willing to perform a non-religious ceremony. We learned of MarriageChaplain.com through another officiant we interviewed (who was wonderful but charged much more than we were willing to pay). I completed a form on the website and received a very quick response from Pastor Brian Eastman. We had a phone meeting later that week so that he could get a feel for our personalities and what we were looking for in an officiant. He matched us with Rev. Karen Heaster and we met with her in person during one of our planning trips to the area (we planned our wedding from another state).
Rev. Heaster is great. She's incredibly laid back and was very receptive to our ideas about the ceremony. We wanted to keep it short and sweet (30 minutes) and she did just that. The end result was a very touching, personalized ceremony that our guests seemed to enjoy. Overall, I would definitely recommend going through MarriageChaplain.com if you need help finding an officiant. They are VERY reasonably priced and have officiants from all different backgrounds/belief systems.

How often can you find a personable, caring and outgoing officiant who is willing to Skype with you in Germany with a six hour time difference? We were fortunate to have been directed to marriagechaplain.com since we live in Germany, but were getting married at a country club in Ohio with no church affiliation. If you look at the website, you'll find quite a number of well-qualified ministers who can perform one of their services (samples online) or one you customize yourself. After an initial conversation, we matched up with Pastor Eastman whose joyful style of service and presentation skills matched up well with ours. This man was incredibly patient as "micromanager perfectionist me" wrote my own ceremony and went through several iterations with his help and my fiance's commentary. You would have thought I was scripting a Hollywood blockbuster, but he remained calm, patient and gave lots of helpful suggestions throughout. I hesitate to think how often and how long he was on Skype with us! On our wedding day, he came through with flying colors for us and we are very glad we sought him out. -

When I first contacted Pastor Eastman, he took the time to get to know my fiance & me then recommended three chaplains he felt would be a good fit for us. We chose Rev. Ria Roth, as she came highly recommended by the owner of our wedding venue. Rev. Ria was a perfect fit for us & was a joy to work with. She met with us before the wedding & took the time to learn about us, our courtship, our families, our religious preferences, etc. She helped us plan the perfect ceremony - short, secular, upbeat and celebratory. My husband's family are practicing Catholics, so Rev. Ria agreed to wear a clerical collar to make them feel more comfortable. At the rehearsal, she kept everyone focused and made great suggestions on organizing the ceremony. A wonderful experience!!
I was VERY suspicious about using a service I found online. I had never heard of MarriageChaplain.com nor had anyone I knew. I was concerned that it might not be legitimate or legal and feared it might be "cheesy". Even though I wanted a small ceremony, I still wanted it to be done with class. After talking to Pastor Eastman, I was put a little more at ease, but still a bit worried. I loved how I could read bios on the available officiants and especially loved that I could read about the ceremonies and vows and pick one that best fit our situation. Pastor Eastman recommended an officiant after he learned our "story". I'm happy to say we were very, very pleased with our officiant and the process. She was prompt, friendly, respectful and seemed engaged in our special day. She took care of all the paperwork and we didn't have to do anything but sign our names! I would HIGHLY recommended this service and have told many people about it. It's SO much better than going to the court house. We were able to have a special, intimate ceremony in a friend's home which is exactly what we wanted. I'm very thankful to Pastor Eastman and his team for working with us to make our day memorable. -

Pastor Eastman made our wedding a memorable and special event. He brought compassion, humor and heart to our ceremony to make it unlike any other wedding we've ever attended. He made the ceremony unique and personal to us. He had people laughing and crying at the same time. Friends said it was the best wedding they'd ever attended (other than their own, of course)...and we owe it all to Pastor Eastman! He is a true professional and a wonderful pastor. I would recommend him to any couple who is looking for a pastor with personality who can help make their wedding everything they want it to be!

Our overall experience with Marriagechaplains.com was excellent. When our original minister was sidelined with a medical emergency, they were able to provide another pastor that equally fulfilled our expectations. Pastor Eastman was both professional and accommodating to our wishes for the ceremony. He was able to incorporate the sand ceremony as well as a blended family ceremony with our three adult daughters. We were quite pleasantly surprised at his enthusiasm during the ceremony. Instead of just reading a ceremony, his presentation was very animated and included our guests, most of whom were equally thrilled with his performance. Our ceremony turned out better than we could have imagined and Pastor Eastman greatly exceeded our expectations. -

The hardest thing ever for my fiancee and I to do was pick our officiant. Not because they we hard to work with but because they people we met with from this group were all WONDERFUL. They had so Much personality and love. One made me tear up because of how genuine he was. While another was funny and welcoming. I Highly suggest using this company to book your officiant! You can't go wrong -

We were given Rev. Rowdy Walker as our officiant and we could not have been happier. He brought a warmth and sincerity to our ceremony that few could have matched. His communications were always clear and respectful. The service itself was the same. Everyone we spoke with was pleasant and professional. They made a stressful time stress-free. -

We worked with Ria Roth to officiate our wedding. She has such great energy and is so enthusiastic it was a delight to work with her. She put a lot of time and effort in to giving us a ceremony that was special to us which we appreciated. There was a mix-up on when the final draft would be completed however we were able to resolve the issue with no impact on the wedding. We are very happy that we prioritized getting a professional and wonderful officiant in our budget, it was worth it for our special day! -

Marriage Chaplain was helpful in getting us in touch with our officiant, Ria Roth. The review above is for Ria. She was very friendly, and really wanted to get to know us as a couple. She was helpful and focused on what we wanted for our day. Ria is so personable, and we highly recommend her for couples who are looking for someone to make their ceremony fun, lighthearted and loving.
Ria was one of the more expensive officiants, but Marriage Chaplain has a variety of officiants that vary in price. They are a great vendor for couples who are not getting married in a church and aren't sure how to go about finding someone to marry them! -

Dynamic Officiant
My husband and I wanted an officiant who was engaging and who was open-minded to all of our family members. Pastor Eastman was just that! He accepted our LGBTQ+ family members and even provided us with lovely marriage advice during our meetings with him. We wanted the undertone of our ceremony to be celebratory and he definitely did that. Almost every guest we talked to -- regardless of age, religion, etc. -- loved him and his message! -

Our experience was a mix of good and bad. We marked no, that we would not recommend, but if you like a boisterous personality and prefer calling on the phone over email, Pastor Eastman could be OK. Other than those two important points, he did a good job.
We chose Marriage Chaplain because we were having our wedding ceremony in our backyard and we wanted to find someone to perform a secular ceremony. We did the questionnaire and selected Pastor Eastman from the list of suggested officiants. He was very easy to talk to during our meeting and very flexible with tailoring the ceremony to contain everything we wanted and not include things that we didn't want.
It seemed like we were in good hands, but as the ceremony got closer and closer, we realized that email responsiveness on Pastor Eastman's part was REALLY BAD. We were a month away from our wedding and hadn't gotten any draft of the ceremony. We would send emails and weeks would go by with no response from Pastor Eastman. This was stress we didn't need so close to the wedding date. If you decide to work with Pastor Eastman, we would recommend that you call him each time that you send an email to let him know to check his inbox.
The second problem was that we were a little blindsided by the theatrical, over-the-top speaking style that Pastor Eastman uses. We later found a review that likened him to a circus ringmaster and the comparison is a good one. We would not have selected him if we had known in advance that he was going to have this over-the-top personality. However, it worked alright in our casual, backyard setting. He did a good job getting our introverted relatives to be responsive and engaged in the marriage ceremony. If this is something you like, then Pastor Eastman would be a good choice. If you would like a more serene ceremony where the focus is on the people getting married rather than the officiant, Pastor Eastman might be be too rambunctious and attention seeking for you. -

After I had received info from one minister that they assigned to me (Rev. Ria) that is who I assumed would be doing my wedding. I was told that she would call me shortly to discuss what I was looking for. I didn't hear anything from her until she called me to CANCEL, citing that they had double booked her for my wedding and that the 1st wedding was booked first, so she had to do that one. This was 1 month before my wedding so I already had Rev Ria on my wedding license. When someone from MarriageChaplain.com contacted me to assign someone else, I pointed that out to her and she said "it shouldn't be a problem" but she failed to understand why I was upset. There was a DIFFERENT minister on my license, not the one performing it. They assigned Rev. Gary to me and he was amazing. Super nice, very prompt, and thoughtful in the vows he provided us. I would, without a doubt, recommend Rev. Gary, but not MarriageChaplain.com for the unprofessional level that my concerns were handled, or should I say, NOT handled (yes, I have my marriage license in hand with Rev. Ria on it.)MarriageChaplain's reply:
The service we provided to her is a "Justice of the Peace" wedding. While our contract for a Personalized Wedding Officiant enables the bride to interview and select a specific minister, priest or rabbi, The MarriageChaplain.com Justice of the Peace Contract assigns ministers just based on availability. It guarantees that any one of our licensed ministers will officiate the wedding with a short and sweet ceremony. That is why it has a lower fee. Since Rev. Ria had an unexpected schedule conflict, we provided the bride with Rev. Gary instead. The bride liked him, as we expected.
We are puzzled by the bride's claim that the wrong minister is listed on license. The bride had expressed concern about the County Clerk office not accepting the wedding license, and requested that we pay her $40 “to pay to change the license”. We contacted her County Clerk's office, and they told us that they NEVER enter an officiant's name until they receive the paperwork after the ceremony. Since Marriage Licenses issued by the County Clerk do not print out the minister's names, our staff still remains baffled as to what the problem actually was. -

When we chose Pastor Eastman for our ceremony we were very excited, because he fit exactly what we were looking for on our wedding day. He is very open to your views and has a great energy. We wanted someone who would take it seriously, but not be so serious that we couldn't laugh if we had something go wrong or flubbed our words. He listened to what we were looking for in our ceremony and helped us put together something that we were both happy with. One thing that was a bit of a pain was doing things through email, because it took a while to hear back. As a bride with a million things your keeping track of, that can be a bit of a hassle to keep calling to get things done. The only other issue I had was at the start of our ceremony he kind of shouted to get everyones attention, and this is something is wasn't entirely prepaired for. I would have rather that be done a different way, because it took away from the seriousness of the occasion. Also, we wanted to remind everyone to silence their phones, and he made that annoucement while the bridesmaids were walking down. I just wish that would have taken place before the ceremony had started. I put my heart and soul into the ceremony and those things bugged me a little bit. Other than that he did a great job with the ceremony, and we were fairly happy with him as the pastor. -

I wish I had great things to say about our Reverand, Rev. Liz. Leading up to the wedding Liz sent me several copies of ceremonies to choose from. We decided on a particular ceremony, but wanted to change the vows to better reflect ourselves. An edited copy was sent to Liz and she confirmed she would use it (her words "these are great").
Fast forward to our wedding, The wrong vows were read. They were the one's we did not want! It really ruined a special moment for us, especially since we spent the time creating something that was unique to us.
I did contact Rev Liz after the wedding and she offered to make it right by preforming again, but at that point the damage is done. Funny thing is she sent us home with an envelope that contained a card and the CORRECT ceremony.
Based on our experience, I would offer this warning. Make sure you check everything. Make sure someone looks over the ceremony day-of. -

The officiant, while pleasant enough (which is why she got a 2 for quality), was NEARLY AND HOUR LATE for the ceremony. We were frantic - kids were getting tired and restless, catered food sitting around, etc. Several calls were made to the MarriageChaplain.com, and they just kept stalling - saying things like... "Well, the officiant doesn't have a cell phone, if she doesn't show up in another half hour, we'll try to find someone else." A family friend actually went online and got ordained and was prepared to do the ceremony herself, which would have been disastrous because we found out the next day, you need to actually register with the State of Ohio before you can perform a marriage.
And, immediately after the ceremony, when we were trying to get things moving along (since we were almost an hour behind), the officiant had the audacity to track down my daughter during photo shoots and want cash on the spot. She got paid, but the company refuses even a partial refund for the horrible service we received.
It's been over 3 weeks and the Marriage Certificate still hasn't been filed. My daughter's insurance expires Thursday and if she can't get a copy of the certificate to her husband's insurance company by then, she'll have to wait another month to get coverage.
Like my daughter says, "I should have known it would be a disaster by the generic name of the website."

The minister arrived exactly at 14:00, which was the scheduled time on the contract. Normally ministers arrive 30 minutes early, but VERY occasionally something will happen. The minister in this case was lost. In case of emergencies we always have at least 1 minister standing by.
We received only ONE call close to the ceremony starting time, to inform us the minister was late. I told them we would call them back within 10 minutes with a backup minister. Within 5 minutes, We had a minister ready to go, who could have driven there in 10 minutes. I attempted to call the couple back, but they didn't answer, so I left a voicemail.
Immediately, our backup minister called the Event Manager of their Wedding Venue to get an update on their wedding. The Event Manager said the original minister had just arrived. We never heard back from the couple, so we assumed the wedding was taking place.
As written in their contract, the payment should have been made to the minister PRIOR to the ceremony. Before the ceremony the minister asked for the wedding license, and the couple said they forgot to bring it. After the ceremony she went back to the couple to discuss the payment, and graciously offered to have the couple bring the payment with the license on another day. Our minister had to go out of her way to sign the paperwork and pick up the balance two days later. Our boss has received several complaint-calls from the couple. He was courteous and sought to allay their worries, but we have not received any requests for a refund.
Our ministers normally send the paperwork to the county clerks office within 1-2 days after the wedding date. However, ministers legally have 30 days to file the paperwork. We have confirmed with the minister that she sent in their paperwork well within the legal time parameter, but was unaware the bride had a personal deadline to meet. If the couple has any concern about the process, they need to contact their local county clerks office. -

Our officiant was not professionally dressed but instead wearing sandals with dark socks. The "chapel" was a disgusting mess. When you entered the office before stepping into the chapel there were boxes of junk everywhere, holes in the walls and even birds flying around. Of course there was bird poop throughout as well. They had not turned on the air conditioning in the chapel so it was blazing hot and we were roasting during the ceremony. Also the chapel and office smelled horrible. Everything was dirty/dingy. The service provided by the officiant was nice but everything else made the whole event miserable and down right embarrassing to tell people about. When people ask me about our wedding I simply say it was short and sweet and leave it at that...not giving them the entire story. I do not recommend having your wedding in the office chapel but instead chose your own location.MarriageChaplain's reply:
It seems that their marriage occurred in early- and mid-Summer when we were remodeling our sanctuary and had removed a wall to expand the room - hence the "holes" in wall.
We had a note on our door "Please Excuse Our Remodeling Mess" and did try to tell every scheduling bride of the situation so they could opt to access a nearby church instead.
The pastor wears regular shoes for ceremonies, unless the couple is an unscheduled walk-in, or unless they are dressed down, like wearing jeans and T-shirts.
We offer in-chapel low-cost weddings because many can not afford more or do not want to spend more. Now that our remodeling is done, we have a simple chapel which reflects the simplicity of our church.
We give a good caring service. We would gladly have scheduled the bride at any one of many nice places, had she requested it. But it would have cost her more. -

Received confirmation of date time and location of the ceremony. Also received and receipt of payment in the mail. The officiant did not show up to the wedding ceremony. What was suppose to be one of the happiest day of my life turned out to be upsetting and humiliating. Not once was an apology offered, just a slight attitude from someone named Janet. We offer our deepest apologies that the officiant you booked did not show. Everyone makes mistakes occasionally, and I believe in this case the officiant simply forgot to mark your wedding in his calender. This happens very rarely, but when a "no-show happens", couples can always call our office to try to remedy the situation. We almost always have a minister on retainer that can leave at a moments notice, and we have staff on duty Saturday evenings in case of an emergency. Of course, this couple was given a full refund, and we again offer a wholehearted apology to you. -

My daughters wedding was this past Saturday and Carol Hester was the officiant. To say that we were disappointed is an understatement, angry is a better word now. She refused to come to the rehearsal the evening before because "she didn't need to", so she was 40 minutes late to the venue that my daughter only had for 4 to five hours totall! The entire night had to be adjusted because of this--we had to leave out memorable things due to time constraints. My daughter should NOT have been heartbroken on her special day! The venue was located in Mariemont and the minister went to Kentucky-- how does this happen?? But the best part of all is she didn't even apologize to the guests who had been sitting there for almost an hour waiting for her arrival. I heard her slightly give an apology to my daughter after the fact! I honestly do not think she should have been paid, at least not full price! She is lucky she was paid before! My heart is broken for my daughter and I understand accidents happen, however if she would have showed up the night before, this would never have happened.....

Selecting Pastor Brian Eastman, associated with MarriageChaplain.com, is the BIGGEST MISTAKE you can make.
During our in-person meeting I asked that Pastor Eastman go through the ceremony during our rehearsal. He told me, that, ‘no he did not do that, would not do that,’ and that I ‘needed to stop trying to control everything.’ Sure enough, the evening of our rehearsal he spent two minutes telling the bridal party how to line up, REFUSED to even do a QUICK run through of our ceremony and left after being there a total of five minutes.
Pastor Eastman began our ceremony as if it were a CIRCUS, and he was the ring master. He even wore a rainbow scarf to complete his ensemble. Immediately after my dad kissed my cheek, Pastor Eastman smirked loudly and said ‘Don’t trip over her dress now,’ which I found extremely distasteful. Then he made sure to let ALL of our guests know that he ‘was not our Pastor, and agreed to marry us after we contracted him.’
During our ceremony, Pastor Eastman did not stand at the head of my husband and I, but gravitated towards the side, at least 10 feet away from us. This not only made it impossible for my husband to see him without having to turn his whole body away from me.
Following our wedding day, almost two weeks later, my husband and I called the court to ensure our paperwork had been filed so we were legally married. Turns out, Pastor Eastman, who knew I’d been upset about our ceremony, had been holding our paperwork and REFUSED to send it in. It was only after he realized the legal repercussions of not filing our paperwork that he actually did so.
During this entire process Pastor Eastman did not once take into account our feelings, wishes or even try to work with us on creating the perfect ceremony for US. I HIGHLY advise you against selecting Pastor Eastman.

Pastor Eastman says: "During the interview we discussed at length what she wanted in the ceremony. I explained the upbeat celebrative style I use, and demonstrated to them the different positioning of the minister which I use. The bride chose to use my services knowing the type ceremony I conduct, and the style in which I lead ceremonies. She could have chosen someone else if she had wanted something more traditional and somber. She complains that she didn't like the ceremony. Yet this is what she approved."
Taking into account the brides feelings (since the couple did not like the ceremony), MarriageChaplain has decided NOT to take the couple to small claims court for the heinous violation of their contract.
The officiant legally has 30 days to send in your paperwork. It is also standard policy for the officiant to hold your marriage license for the maximum allotted time if the couple has breached their contract and is refusing to pay the balance. This couple did not pay the balance of $164.00. Pastor Eastman called to correct an alleged mistake in the payment on 06/30/14, and was informed they had no intention of paying. Pastor Eastman sent in the marriage license on 07/08/14 after deciding NOT to pursue the couple for the balance. We informed the couple on 07/09/14, and the clerk of courts filed the paperwork on 07/10/14. We received official notice that on 07/10/14 Merchant Services issued a charge-back of the original, NON-REFUNDABLE payment of $165.00- on the grounds that Pastor Eastman did not file their paperwork by 06/30/14. (We never specified a date to file their license. Their wedding was on 06/28/14).
