Excellent wedding photographer!

Mark photographed our wedding in early April, and we had such a great time with him! He was a favorite on a list of vendors through our wedding venue, so we scheduled to meet him via Zoom, and decided to book him. He was very helpful throughout the planning process and was just a genuine, down-to-earth person. We loved his candid approach to wedding photography, which translated perfectly with the vibe of our event. All of the photos he took were varied and amazing, and we had access to them before we even returned from our honeymoon. Thank you so much, Mark!

Mark is the best!

We absolutely loved working with Mark. We picked him as our wedding photographer because of the natural and journalistic style of his work. And he delivered exactly that: beautiful, natural looking photos, not overly filtered, but with a creative and artistic style.
Mark was able to capture the spirit of the whole event with great candid shots. It is great to see the whole event unfolds in the photos when we look through them. Can’t be happier with the final photos.
Another huge plus of working with Mark is getting the photos back really fast. He was able to send us some sneak peek photos the morning after the wedding and then delivered the rest within 2 weeks! That’s pretty amazing!!! Highly recommend working with Mark.

The Absolute Best!

Mark is an absolutely amazing photographer. He is not only talented and creative, but also has a calm and humor about him that puts everyone at ease. We were lucky enough to have him shoot our engagement photos and our wedding, and he did an incredible job for both. He captured the most authentic and genuine photos from out wedding that we will treasure forever. Amazing photographer!

Mark was amazing to work with and I will recommend him to everyone! There are so many wedding photographers to choose from, but when I saw his website I knew he was the one, as his pictures were all beautiful and creative. He was so easy to work with and captured the most wonderful pictures of our wedding day. The day goes by in such a blur that I love having so many pictures to remember all the events of the day, even those we did not know were happening! He emailed me 7 proofs right away the night of the wedding and the other pics all came within 2 weeks. If you want someone that is professional, fun and easygoing, then Mark is your man!

Mark was the absolute best choice for our wedding. He has photographed many of our friend's weddings so we knew we wanted him to take our photos. He was so laid back and easy to work with, got our pictures back to us incredibly fast, and we have had so many compliments on them. They are absolutely stunning. My wife and I worked with Mark for our engagement photos and wedding. Both of us weren’t used to being photographed, but Mark really made us feel at ease and comfortable. After our engagement shoot with Mark we knew we wanted him to photograph our wedding. We love his style and ability to beautifully and naturally capture special moments and details. His photography tells a story, and we were so happy to see so many candid photos and moments we couldn't witness firsthand during the wedding. My husband Matt and I worked with Mark for our wedding this spring - and we give him our highest recommendations. Neither of us are used to having professional photos done, so we were a little nervous about posing for a camera. Mark was awesome - he was totally relaxed and helped us feel at ease. I appreciated that he wasn't shy about reminding me to stand up straight - or even convincing a graffiti artist to let us take photos in front of his freshly painted work. Mark jumped right in at our wedding and got great shots while having fun interacting with our guests. The resulting photos show the comfort we all had around him - lots of natural smiles, laughs, and hugs. Mark truly captured the day!

As for the nitty gritty, Mark was easy to work with, prompt with responses to emails, and turned around our photos quickly. I would recommend Mark to any of my friends getting married, and we hope to work with him for family sessions in the future. Thank you, Mark!

I found Mark online after looking at the websites of several other photographers in the Portland area. The quality of the pictures in his portfolio online really caught my eye. I am truly happy with the pictures that we received after our engagement shoot--the work that Mark puts into making these photos great really shines through! He has an eye for this and really knows what he is doing.

Some specific things that come to mind about our experience with Mark:
Mark is very responsive! I actually reached out to Mark at the same time as I reached out to a few other photographers and his response was by and far the quickest. In fact, Mark maintained this level of responsiveness throughout the entire process, which really gave us peace of mind. We also received our photos very quickly after our photoshoot.

Mark was also very flexible with our needs throughout the entire process. For example, he was up for shooting us in multiple outfits. Mark also gave us free reign to pick where in the Portland area we wanted to have our shoot done and gave us some great ideas at the same time.

Mark was also very professional and kind. Throughout the shoot, after putting us in a pose, Mark would often ask, "Is this natural? Is this something you would normally do?" I really appreciated him asking us this and it stuck with me afterwards. It just shows how much he cares about the quality and authenticity of his photos. It's clear that Mark really understands the meaning and importance of such special photos. I will definitely recommend Mark to everyone! Thanks, Mark!

I found Mark on Instagram and immediately fell in love with his style of photography. Definitely check out his website and his Instagram account. Having a good photographer was one of my biggest priorities for the wedding day and we're both so in love with his photos. I love candid shots, which is one of the things that Mark excels with, but he also takes beautiful portraits. He met up with us early on (before we signed the contract) to discuss our wedding and our expectations and then he sent us some links to previous weddings he's done. They were absolutely beautiful. I definitely recommend him!

My fiancé and I had been looking for a few weeks for a photographer in the Portland area that had high quality photography at a reasonable price. We liked the lighting and style of Mark's photography, and that he offers digital files and full rights of the images (a lot of the photographers in the area we looked at require that you print images through them in addition to the shoot, and many require that you pay per image.) Mark keeps his pricing simple and provides flexibility in using your images as you want.

Mark was very responsive and sent us the digital files and proofs within a week of our shoot! We love every image and hope to work with him for our wedding.

Mark gave us the most wonderful wedding gift--a portfolio of gorgeous photos that not only reflect our personalities and relationship so perfectly well, but that will be a lasting memory of the most important day of our lives.

Mark instantly grasped our vision for our photography--we wanted genuine (not posed) photos with an urban edge and artistic flare. Little did we know that Mark would blow our little ideas out of the water and churn out photos that were effortlessly beautiful, soulful, and intriguing shot after shot. Mark is particularly skilled at perspective shots. He is an expert at choosing beautiful places to shoot and does the location justice! All of our friends and family are raving about our photography; our only problem is picking just a handful to frame!

Aside from his obvious skill, Mark is a joy to work with. My wife and I are a silly, but tender and heartfelt couple, and Mark fit right in with us instantly. He made us feel at ease, laughed with us when things got zany, and seemed to genuinely enjoy his time with us. We never felt rushed, forced into odd poses or stances, or awkward in the least. Both our engagement shoot and our wedding shoot were a breeze and just so much fun!

Mark is such a cool guy, who takes AMAZING photos.

His work captured the day flawlessly. He captured all moments of the day; from the major moments to the small humble moments. You know how some people are just gifted? He 100% has the photographic eye that a lot of people strive for. It seems to come natural to him because he is such a calm and easy going person that you barely know he is there taking these amazing photos.

Mark suggested we meet a day before the wedding so that he could scope out the best place for the first look, and wedding party pictures since he had never been to the wedding location before. I was very happy to get that call because that was a concern of mine too; the grounds were huge and we could have been walking around all day looking for the ‘right’ place.

Pictures seemed quick and painless and turned out absolutely incredible. I would highly recommend Mark Mirocha to anyone looking for photographer.

We stumbled onto Mark’s work through Wedding Wire and were swept away by his work. His blog is a great representation of his style, talent, and creativity. Shortly after our inquiry he replied and we met up with him in Portland. From the first moment we met up with Mark to chat about the possibility of having him as a photographer for our wedding we were sold. He came prepared to get an accurate picture of who we were and made us feel super comfortable with him. As we got closer to the wedding Mark was on top of little things we hadn’t thought of and made sure that we were stress free. The day of the wedding he was there on time and guided us through our intimate first look moment. After that he was everywhere capturing moments we will cherish forever through his breathtaking photography.

Reasons I am insanely happy we hired Mark Mirocha as our wedding photographer:

1. Our pictures are amazing
2. He made a point of getting to know us first - first with a phone consult, then meeting in person once we signed on
3. He did very reasonably priced engagement photos with us, which made us super comfortable with him when it came time for the wedding, plus totally put me at ease since I knew he'd already proven himself to do an awesome job
4. I didn't have to decide if I wanted 6, 8, or 10 hours - it was a flat (reasonable) rate, which made life simple
5. He acted like he appreciated the offer of a beer or two at our engagement shoot when my fiancé offered, but politely declined
6. He told us exactly where to stand, how to position our bodies, where to look, etc., which is great if you've never done pictures like this before
7. He also let us do whatever we wanted if we had our own ideas
8. At the wedding he kept everything on point - tracked me down and made us take pictures he knew we'd want before we missed the opportunity, was polite but direct to get people in their place, taught us how to put on boutonnieres properly, etc.
9. I couldn't believe how many different shots/angles/people he got - I didn't see him at all during the ceremony, but somehow we have one million amazing ceremony photos - he is a photo-taking ninja
10. I also missed a lot of details in general at the wedding - luckily, Mark didn't, and now I have the chance to appreciate things like the flower arrangements on the cake, Grandpa's Blazers Championship belt buckle, and our dog playing fetch with herself during the entire wedding
11. I love the style of his photos - very crisp, clear, bold without being overly contrast-y, and he makes pictures look great both in outdoor sunny settings and indoor with low-lighting
12. He was very thorough in his picture taking - we have pictures from the entire event, and good balance of photos of all our guests

My fiance and I were looking for a professional photographer to take our engagement photos while we were on a mini-vacation in Portland. Living in the Bay Area, everything back home is ridiculously expensive. We were so lucky and grateful to have found Mark! His services were within our budget, and by looking at his online portfolio we saw that his photography style and the mood he captures in his photos matched exactly what we were looking for. We were impressed by his timely email communication and the effort he put into scouting out locations based on our requests. I'm glad he did this because he found out early on that one location I requested didn't allow professional photography! We were able to plan ahead and make the most of our time together.

And if you're like me and have no idea what to do with your body, hands, or face during the photo shoot, Mark does a great job of sharing his ideas for natural poses and facial expressions. He's also great at capturing those special, candid moments. His friendly and easy-going nature helped us relax and feel more comfortable in front of the camera.

Within two weeks, we received our digital files and couldn't be more impressed! You can tell that he does this more for the enjoyment of it than for the money. I highly recommend Mark for your photography needs. Thank you so much!!

After talking with close friends who’d recently been through the whole wedding rigmarole, I knew that I wanted our photographer to not only take beautiful pictures (that’s the easier part), but to capture something of us within them. In the careful balance of budget and finding the qualities that we wanted, I was drawn to Mark’s photos and his ability to catch those sweet intimate moments happening between all the running around. Mark was wonderful to work with, chatting with us over Skype to get an understanding of our expectations and who we are as a couple. He flew out to Minnesota for us and immediately fit right in, following along in our activities throughout the day and never making us feel like we were on camera. He’s an incredibly sweet person, and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Hiring Mark was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He is very people-oriented, and went out of his way to get to know us prior to the big day. Mark was extremely professional and showed up very nicely dressed to our formal affair. His ability to blend in and inconspicuously take photos made for some wonderful candid shots. He was very efficient in organizing group photos and even made time to get some cute shots of the children running around. Mark doesn't overly pose people and mostly let us be us, resulting in more natural looking photos. He has a great eye for suggested shots, and was also very accommodating with any photo request we had. We had the reception at a restaurant on the water, and Mark was able to take us down to the beach for some more amazing shots as the sun was going down.

A few weeks after the wedding we received a link to view the photos on his website. We were blown away at the detail, emotion, and beauty that each photo contained. They truly told a story of our wedding day. Mark did a fantastic job choosing locations that emphasized both us and the beauty of the scenery. He captured a great variety of candid shots that made everyone look their best.

Overall the experience we had with Mark as our photographer was extremely positive. He really cares about his clients and wants them to feel at ease throughout the process. From our perspective it was a totally fun and seamless day. We, and our guests, loved the photos and we would absolutely recommend Mark's services. Our wedding photos are stunning and we couldn't be happier!

We had Mark Mirocha as the photographer for our wedding and we can't speak highly enough of him. His eye for photos is superb, he captured so much more of our day than what we could have imagined or asked for and always had a positive, upbeat attitude, even in the heat! He is easy going, fun to work with and not pushy, as I have seen other photographers be, he doesn't need to push to get awesome images, he finds them naturally! Looking through the photographs he took during our special day brought the day to life again, we were able to relive it to more detail than we could experience on the day of, with the whirlwind speed our wedding seemed to go by. We are so excited to have all the images to relive over and over with our family and friends.

We had discussed with Mark a few specific images we really wanted to capture, like one with us not as the focus of the picture, but a large natural background we could blow up and always remember. Not only did Mark get one of exactly what we wanted, but he got at least five, as well as countless others we can't wait to frame and always remember the magic of the day.

Not only were we extremely impressed with how the photos turned out, but Mark was very flexible with our wants and needs. We live in Arizona and he suggested to have a skype meeting so we could get to talk (more in person than email or phone) with him from a distance. It worked out great and really helped us feel more comfortable and ready for the day, as neither of us have been photographed much before. Mark was also always very prompt and clear with responding to the MANY emails we sent over the long period before our wedding.

If we ever, or any of our family, have any other photography needs we will be working with Mark Mirocha and we strongly suggest you hire him as well!

If you are looking for a wedding photographer, look no further: HIRE MARK! He is without a doubt the most amazing wedding photographer ever. Not only is he a charismatic, happy, pleasant and friendly person but he takes wonderful photos. I'm not an expert in photography, but I knew I wanted to get great photos from my wedding that would capture the moment and tell the story of the wedding to people that weren't there. Mark did that. I hate being bossed around but I also wanted an expert who knew the best angles, shots, and locations. He also promptly responded to my hundreds of emails and phone calls asking about the most important photos and lots of questions (ex. for me, "First Look" is the essential photograph that needs to be taken along with pictures of the families, bridesmaids, groomsmen, key guests and also the special details that made our wedding unique). On your wedding day, or any other special occasion that you want photographed, the last thing you want is to micro-manage someone or be micro-managed. With Mark, you have nothing to worry about. He does it all and he makes it an enjoyable experience. Honestly, the photos he took were breathtaking and I can't stop checking through all of the photos to bring me back to the best day of my life. Also, there is no down side to hiring Mark. He is an all-around great guy and a professional and talented photographer. Mark is fantastic! We had Mark as our photographer for our wedding, and my husband and I could not be happier with the results. We have great photos to put on our walls now that are all very high quality (they look like they belong in a bridal magazine). Mark not only got pictures of us, our family, and guests, but he also took a lot of pictures of our venue and the little things that captured the essence of our day. I can't begin to tell you how important all of these pictures are to my husband and I, and we feel so lucky that Mark was there to document everything in such great clarity.

I can't speak more highly of Mark Mirocha. Our wedding photos are absolutely breathtaking. He was everything I could have hoped for in a wedding photographer.

Not only is he extremely talented as a photographer, but Mark went the extra mile in delivering customer service. He drove out to meet us at a location that was close to our home when we were shopping for a photographer. He didn't try to upsell us on additional hours, "upgraded packages," or other services/products we did not need. He was straight forward about his pricing and went the extra mile to get us our photos after the wedding.

He worked with us on our contract when we expressed concerns. He showed up an hour early to our wedding venue because it was supposed to rain that day, just so he could scout photo locations. (And he didn't charge us for it!) I can't tell you how much we enjoyed working with him.

My husband and I absolutely recommend Mark Mirocha as a wedding photographer. We have 100 percent confidence in him. We will be hiring him again in a few years to take family portraits.

I hired Mark as our wedding photographer and could not have been happier with his work. His photography speaks for itself: he is clearly a highly skilled photographer with a great eye for composition, lighting, and color. What his photos don't tell you is how great he is at putting the subjects of his photos at ease. During our pre-ceremony photo shoot, his laid-back attitude and personability helped us ease our nerves and relax so we could be ourselves in front of the camera. During the ceremony and reception, he was so inconspicuous I didn't even realize he was there. The candid photos he shot demonstrate his ability to truly capture the moment without interfering in it. I enthusiastically and without reservation recommend Mark as a professional photographer!

Mark Mirocha is not only a talented photographer but he is also an instant friend. He makes you feel comfortable and relaxed right away with his professional, warm, and laidback personality. We got so many compliments about how creative and artful the photos were. Some of my favorite photos were unexpected moments that Mark caught perfectly throughout the day. Hiring Mark was the best and easiest wedding-related decision that we made. Thanks to Mark's expert photography skills, looking at our wedding photos is now our favorite pastime. Mark is an all around lovely person - genuine, creative, gentle, smart, reliable. We could go on (and on), but I'm sure you get the point. From our first emails with Mark to the final product (759 polished photos), the entire experience of working with Mark is a happy one for us. Most importantly, Mark was able to document all of the special moments and details from our wedding day. I worked with Mark for both my engagement session at the Woodburn Tulip Festival and for my backyard wedding in McMinnville. He was amazing to work with and his photos will be cherished for my lifetime.

While my new hubby and I have disagreements on some things, we are both on the same page with choosing Mark for our photography -- we were delighted with the results.

In looking at his gallery online, we noticed he captured people's personalities and that is definitely his gift. There are no staging "Pinterest" moments that everyone wants and every photog uses as an old stand by. He goes with the flow, blends in, and captures what needs to be captured.

I would highly suggest this photographer for anyone looking into capturing the true essence of their special day.

Really, there are no words to adequately express how amazing Mark was as our wedding photographer, and how incredibly happy we are with our photos (which, by the way, came to us a mere week after our event and are so stunning we can barely believe it). Not only do we have beautiful posed shots, but we were delighted to see the number of great candid shots from the entire day.

In addition to being a top-notch photographer with a great eye, Mark is also extremely kind and patient. He helped calm our nerves at the start of our hectic wedding day. My husband and I are thrilled with Mark's work, and know we have gorgeous photos to remember our special day with. I would recommend Mark Mirocha to anyone and everyone- he is really the best and we can't thank him enough.

Mark was awesome to work with. He was super patient and gave great direction. He definitely has an eye for beauty; he picked some awesome backdrops that we would never have thought of and also was very calming when I got upset about getting my wedding gown dirty. He also posted our pictures super quickly and was able to work within our budget. All in all, we couldn't have asked for anyone better to photograph our special day.

Mark was simply amazing. The quality of photos received far exceeded our expectations. Mark has a very keen eye. He embraces and captures the spontaneity that is demanded of any accomplished wedding photographer. The turn around time from event shoot to delivery of finished photos was was 2-5 times faster than any one else in his field. For those that are reading this, I only hope that you book with him soon before he realizes that his skill set is worth much more than he currently charges. My only regret is that I won't be having another wedding, so that I could give him more business.

My wife and I put a lot of thought into which wedding photographer to go with and we couldn't be happier that we chose Mark Mirocha! He was professional and courteous, he interacted great with our guests, and most importantly he has a wonderful eye. I'm also pretty convinced Mark underprices his services, so folks should take advantage before he raises his prices:)

Bottom line: we definitely recommend Mark!

Mark is the best! He has a great eye and is very creative. I'm normally nervous in front of the camera, Mark did a wonderful job of making me feel at ease. He provided direction but was not overwhelming. When looking through the photos, I felt that he captured our personalities and the essence of the day. I would, and have, recommended him to friends and family.

When I questioned new-bride-friends prior to my wedding, what they felt was the #1 most important aspect that they wish they'd considered longer or splurged further on, it was continuously: THE PHOTOGRAPHY!
Mark, along with his assistant, Lydia left me thrilled with the shots taken through out the day. I was left wanting for nothing -- exactly as I had hoped. Mark took some amazing photos of our wedding. He has a great eye and caught some of the best candid moments of us and our guests. My husband and I were so happy with Mark's photographs of our wedding reception! He took beautiful pictures of the food at our outdoor picnic on Tomales Bay, and got many special pictures of us and our guests. Mark has a keen eye for light, and was able to capture the spirit of our event without being obtrusive or formal. He was extremely accomodating, professional, and we recommend him highly.

We liked Mark from our first meeting with him. He has a very artistic eye, so you will end up with a huge variety of photos. We ended up making a great book on snapfish and we saved a lot of money because he gives you control of the pictures when he is done editing them and you can print what you want. We highly recommend that couples make a list of pictures you want taken, different couples and groups of friends and family. We would hire Mark all over again.

I cannot begin to say how pleased we are with Mark's work. I was worried about having someone take my pictures during the anxious time before the wedding, but Mark was a dream. There were times I didn't even notice him but more importantly, he was a support for me the entire day.

His flexibility, creativity and excitement were more than I could have asked for. Not to mention the final product was better than imaginable. He captured the day so perfectly and just how I remembered it. Somehow he made our personalities come through in the pictures. Amazing.

There are not enough good words to say about his work. My husband and I consider it the best wedding decision we made.
