The Greatest Unexpected Blessing
The short story is that we cancelled our big wedding in California and last minute decided to elope at a park in Dallas with no photographer. I knew of Marissa and loved her style and the work she produced. So, I tried my luck and asked her last minute if she could shoot our day before the pandemic shut down even our small 10 person event. SHE SAID YES ;) Obviously, there was disappointment in not being able to have our loved ones present but Marissa was able to capture the raw beauty of that magical day at the park. She went the extra mile to make me comfortable and happy and it was the greatest and most unexpected blessing that day. Marissa is a natural with photography so I felt she wasn't in my face with a camera but just mindfully and peacefully doing her craft that day. The photographs are truly the most beautiful memory for us that are perfectly captured on film. Thank you Marissa for blessing us with that on our special day. -

Hire Marissa!!!
Marissa was so amazing! My wedding was originally scheduled for June 13, 2020. And we had to push it back to November 6th and I was so lucky to keep her! She had such fun ideas for photos. She made me feel so comfortable behind the camera. She did our engagements, my bridal portraits and our wedding photos. All of my wedding party talked about how great she was! She even sent me like 10-15 pictures of the wedding like 2-3 days after. It was definitely needed after all the stress and planning to be able to see the pictures right after! I would highly recommend her! -

Marissa is legit AMAZING!!!!! Her work speaks for itself but it’s all the extra things she does that makes the biggest difference. She is always available for any questions whether is photo related or just wedding questions in general. The day of, her and her assistant went above and beyond what i hired them for to make sure my fiancé and I had the best possible day! so many things went wrong that was out of our control and they always had a solution. From making sure my photos were perfect to coaching me and my bridal party on how the ceremony should go as far as walking and keeping our pace(none of us had any idea what we were doing).All of my vendors were great, but marissa was the only one that exceeded my expectations.She is worth every penny i spent!❤️ -

Moat flexible and kind photographer!
Marissa worked with us from the start. She took our engagement photos in the middle of the summer and they turned out amazing! She was one of the most affordable photographers I could find, and I loved her style of photos. Due to coronavirus, we couldn't have our original wedding so we had a very small ceremony at our lake house. Marissa took gorgeous pictures for us and seemed to know exactly what I wanted. Some of the pictures had cars in the background behind us but, you couldn't see them at all because she's that good! My mother in law even said, "wow you would never know we were at the lake, it looks like you are in a beautiful garden!" With all the stress a wedding can bring, having Marissa as our photographer was a weight off my shoulders. We even had our dog, a big golden retriever at our engagement session and wedding and she managed to get great photos of her looking at the camera! We love all of the work she has done for us and I hope to use her again in the future! :) -

I cannot say enough kind words to describe the experience or photos Marissa captured from our engagement shoot. She was so lovely to agree to shooting our photos outside in July! She thought of everything, even bringing summer heat essentials to keep us looking picture perfect. Marissa made us so comfortable & we felt as if we had known her forever. Our photos turned out AMAZING! She turned over our gallery in less time than I projected, which was such a treat to open. Do yourself a favor & book Marissa for EVERYTHING! Thank you again, Marissa we are over the moon with our photos :) -

So far I've met with Marissa for our consultation before the big day next May! She is seriously SO kind, friendly, and thoughtful! She's helped me work through a ton of questions I've had, she's been great at communication, she is affordable, and her photos are absolutely STUNNING! The best!
Marissa is amazing! My husband and I got our engagement and wedding photos done with her, and she is the absolute sweetest and best person to work with. She made us feel super comfortable in front of the camera, she was super helpful, and she made our wedding day 10x more fun! Marissa is a big fan of first looks, and let me tell ya - it's definitely the way to go! We loved our first look as it gave us that intimate time to just be together away from all the rush and craziness of the day. Marissa went above and beyond during the entire wedding planning process and much more during our wedding day. She was constantly checking on us to see how we were doing, and that was just the sweetest thing ever. It really makes a big difference working with someone who loves celebrating love and capturing all the special moments. Thank you so much, Marissa! When I first saw Marissa's photos, I fell in love with her style. She was extremely friendly and professional with us, and our consultation with her was amazing -- she asked us so many pertinent questions and helped us with the timeline to orchestrate the perfect photos.
On the day of, Marissa was calming and friendly with our family and friends, and adapted quickly when everyone wanted photos with us during dance time!
We got a beautiful sample gallery right after our wedding, and just got the rest of our photos and WOW. There were way more photos than I expected, and all of them were so beautiful (a great combination between formal images as well as candid shots of us and our loved ones that made me tear up all over again. I feel so lucky we were able to have Marissa as our photographer for our wedding day -- Thanks so much, Marissa! -

My husband and I got our engagement and wedding photos done with Marissa and we are SO thankful to have her as our photographer. She’s super friendly, so sweet, helpful, and professional. She helps set a comfortable environment and reminds you to just enjoy being with your other half and be genuine/normal :)
If she hasn’t given you the first look gospel yet, well let me testify that you won’t regret it. If you’re like me and don’t like sharing intimate moments in public (I even told my now husband that he better not propose in a public setting or I would say no haha), then please take the opportunity to do a first look. Sharing this moment with him and getting the chance to spend the limited time together before all the crazy fun begins was so worth it and such a sweet experience. Thank you Marissa for capturing one of the sweetest days of our lives! -

Honestly, Marissa’s work is worth at least triple of what she charges. She was so delightful to work with, and you can tell she guenuinely loves what she does. She has a carefree and relaxed attitude, but is still extremely efficient and organized. She is also super talkative and warm, which is awesome, especially for people who feel awkward taking pictures (like me!). I was really nervous beforehand about the engagement shoot, because I get self-conscious about pictures sometimes, but she made Josh and I both feel so relaxed and good about ourselves. Marissa was calm, confident, and caring throughout the whole process of wedding planning, and she relieved any stress I had about the photos. On the wedding day, Marissa and her partner facilitated group photos, like family, bridal party, etc. so well and made that whole process super quick but not rushed (literally how?). After the ceremony, she pulled Josh and I away for pictures, and after she was finished, she encouraged us to just walk around by ourselves and catch our breath before entering the ceremony. It was so thoughtful and sweet for Josh and I to savor that moment alone and slow down during the rush of the wedding day. And THE PHOTOS. WOW. I was overwhelmed by how many she sent me! And not just the quantity, but the quality of the shots — all edited so beautifully. She was everything I was looking for and more. YA’LL. Snatch her up!

Booking Marissa as our wedding photographer was the best choice we made! Leading up to the wedding I was one of those brides with a million questions. Marissa was SO helpful answering everything quickly and putting my mind at ease. Wedding day, she went above and beyond! Capturing all the perfect shots. I had many family members and friends come up that day and compliment her as a photographer and her personally. ONE day after the wedding, Marissa already had a sample gallery ready for me! As a bride, that’s one thing you just can’t wait to see and to be able to view some of the photos so soon was amazing. I love each and every one of them. When I got the full gallery, I was so impressed. Marissa really captured every special moment so beautifully. I could not ask for anything more. She is incredibly talented and so sweet! We love our photos so much. -

We did not intend to hire a photographer for our big day. At the last minute, we decided that the investment was important and we set out to find the perfect photographer that fit our budget. Luckily, I ran into Marissa’s page and was in awe of what she captured and immediately messaged her to find out if she was available. I heard back from her right away and knew she would be the one we would use. Marissa took the time to meet us and learn what she could about our relationship which made us feel like she actually cared. Our wedding day came and she was even sweeter in person. She made us feel incredibly comfortable and everything just flowed naturally. Like any other wedding, some things did not go the way we thought they would but, our photographer was not one of those things. She took the time to send us a sample gallery the very next day. I still can’t believe how incredible the photographs are. Thank you thank you Marissa. You are incredible and we are so blessed to have had you. -

Wonderful!
Marissa went ABOVE and BEYOND in EVERY way as our photographer for our wedding, engagement, and my bridals. Hands down one of the best decisions of ALL my wedding planning and deciding was picking her as our photographer. Truly blessed by her professionalism, kindness, and BEAUTIFUL work! -

12/10 would hire again!
She is a 12/10 photographer. She was absolutely wonderful to work with and made us feel really comfortable.
I got her information from a friend and they said she had the exact style we were looking for. She really encapsulates real couples. She isn't someone who is going to over edit, create over dramatics and make a stuffy atmosphere. She is the sweetest, honest and really down to earth person who loves her job! After getting my engagement photos back I can not wait for my wedding!! Also she is so AFFORDABLE! I almost went with another company who was going to charge over $4,000 for the engagement and wedding photos! She also had a military discount and said she would be willing to work with us if things had to get changed for his job. She just really was a huge blessing and I hope to work with her again in the future. -
