  I was so lucky to be able to work with Marissa for my wedding. I have very fine hair and she was able to give me my dream

  Marissa was incredible! She did hairstyles for myself and 6 bridesmaids and all of our styles looked perfect and held up all night. Marissa was a lot of fun on the day of the wedding and fit in well with my bridal party. She even offered suggestions and reassured me when I found out a guest who had not RSVP'd was coming hours before the ceremony.

Marissa was a lot of fun on the day of the wedding and fit in well with my bridal party.   2022 Wedding

  Marissa did a fantastic job with makeup and hair for my wedding! She and her team completed hair and makeup for myself and 10 others in our wedding party. She was incredibly organized and made sure everyone looked and felt their best for the big day. She brought a great positive vibe to our day. Would definitely recommend booking Marissa!

  Phenomenal Styling!

  I cannot say enough great things about Marissa and her assistant Sarah. Just to start, they were so personable and professional. Our wedding day had a pretty strict timeline; Marissa was spot on with her estimates, and she even reserved time at the end for any touch ups or final veil adjustments. My hair, as well as my 6 bridesmaids, 3 junior bridesmaids/flower girls, aunt, and mother’s hair all stayed in the entire evening. I am very type A and tend to get frazzled easily. Marissa was perfect for my personality; she answered all of my questions and successfully kept me calm because she was so planned and organized in her styling. I would HIGHLY recommend Bridal Art by Marissa Julin to anyone who needs an extremely talented, reliable, personable, and professional stylist. I couldn’t be happier with our decision to hire Marissa.

  Absolutely amazing and beyond professional!

  Marissa and her assistant Beth were both amazing to work with! Marissa listened to what I had envisioned for both hair and makeup from the initial trial, and did both in such a natural way that I felt like myself on my wedding day - no stickiness from being overly done up, yet everything lasted all night! Marissa and Beth were professional and a blast to get ready with, while keeping everyone relaxed and doing hair for 7 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, and bridal hair/makeup by lunchtime. But the icing on the cake was how kind and accommodating they were to squeeze in a crying 16-year old junior bridesmaid after a hair crisis at another salon. I was beyond impressed and can’t say enough good about these ladies!!!

  She is amazing!

  Marissa did a terrific job with my makeup! I felt so pretty and it lasted all day! She also did my mom and sisters’ makeup and they were so happy with it! Being from out of state I was not able to have a trial and was a little nervous on how the makeup was going to turn out. Marissa understood exactly what I wanted and did an amazing job with us. She arrived on time and was also very responsive all the time. I’m so glad I found her for my bridal makeup!Read Less

  FIVE STARS. She made me and my bridesmaids look like models. I always hate getting my hair and makeup done because I always end up with a hairdo I hate and have WAY too much makeup on, so I was very cautions when choosing a hair and makeup person (without having to break the bank as well). Marissa and her makeup wizard Rhonda were our GLAM SQUAD on my wedding day.
  First of all - I have curly hair and no one EVER knows what to do with it when getting my hair done (which is why I usually hate my hairdos). Luckily, Marissa also has curly hair (literally the same as mine) so as soon as I saw her, I KNEW she was going to finally get me to rock a hairstyle. And, as expected, she didn't let me down. My hair looked PHENOMINAL for both my hair trial AND my wedding day. And it stayed in ALL DAY LONG (and even into the next day). She was very flexible with my bridesmaids who all wanted their own hairstyle and everyone loved what they got. Rhonda, who did our makeup, made us look beautiful and natural, which is what we all wanted. They also were so fun to work with - they fit right in with my crazy bridesmaids and myself - we had a blast getting ready (and Rhonda had the best playlist EVER).
  And as if Marissa is not just amazing on her own, her prices are UNBEATABLE - and we had 4 bridesmaids, and a Bride getting hair and makeup done. She even traveled to us at our venue so we didn't have to lift a finger that day.
  I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup that day that I felt like a movie star. Thank you, Marissa and Rhonda for giving us our "fifteen minutes" on my wedding day. You guys are the best!!

  I originally booked her for my September wedding, and when my now-husband and I decided to move up our wedding to June I thought I would have to give up professional hair styling. On a whim I reached out to her anyway, to see if she could squeeze me in that morning, and she made it work! Between my hair trial and the wedding I had chopped off a lot of hair, so I wanted a completely different style to what he had done at the trial. She took the picture I showed her and gave me the most gorgeous Old-Hollywood-meets-Great-Gatsby style that complemented my dress perfectly. The style lasted all day, through heat and humidity, and it still looked great the next day!
  
  She is also just a lovely person! She is very warm and good-humored, and really cares about the brides that she works with. I really don't think you can do better than Marissa!

  I hired Marissa to do the hair for myself, my mom, 4 Bridesmaids and a Jr. Bridesmaid for my wedding. She was fabulous! Not only is she an amazing artist with unbelievable talent, she is a kind and down to earth person. All women absolutely LOVED the hair style they chose. Even though every girl got a completely different style and have very different hair thicknesses and lengths each looked amazing. Marissa had everyone’s hair done early and even helped with last minute touch-ups after everyone got dressed. She was so easy to work with and made everyone feel like they have known her for years. I would HIGHLY recommend hiring Marissa, you will not be sorry!!

  I absolutely. Positively. Cannot. Say enough good things about her! First let me say I was extremely laid back about almost everything for the wedding...except my hair. For some reason, that was my main freakout. I visited Marissa several times: my mother-in-law wanted a trial, my trial, my lash extensions, and the day of the wedding. With my mother-in-law's trial, I was nervous. Mom went in and said a few sentences to Marissa, and then they were small-talking the rest of the time. I was certain the style wasn't going to be correct since they weren't talking about it. SHE LOVED IT!! Then, I was having major issues with what hairstyle I wanted after my little brother (and "dude of honor") told me to wear it down. I had always wanted an up do. She was able to change my appointment to do both hairstyles back to back so I could see what one I liked best! I also had tons of questions about extensions she helped me with!
  
  The lashes were, and still are two weeks later, amazing. It took some time to get them on, but that time in the chair was amazing. We were able to talk and laugh and by the end of it, she truly was a friend. I couldn't wait to see her again, and was so happy she would be a part of the wedding day.
  
  The day came, and she drove the two hours out to my mother's house where we were getting ready. Of course my cat wanted to be a part of everything, and she had no issues with the kitty!   Marissa was amazing! She was able to get myself, my mother and my bridesmaid done in a short time frame, and without exact this is what i want photos. She took words and did something wonderful with everyones hair. From a makeup point of view, i loved the products she used and it stayed on great all night!

  Marissa was a complete joy to work with. Her talent is endless and her easy-going attitude helped keep the vibe of my wedding day calm and relaxed. Marissa did my hair and makeup, as well as that of my two bridesmaids. She also last minute agreed to do my sister hair. Although I did a trail run with Marissa, my two bridesmaids did not and left it up to her to work her magic. And she did just that. Their hair and make up both looked amazing. My sister, as well, came with little ideas and Marissa jumped enhanced her already beautiful self. As for my hair and makeup, Marissa made me feel like I was truly the most beautiful person in the room. A unique aspect of Marissa's services is her ability to design hair pieces. She made a headband for me that was beautiful (and did not once move or come out of place!). If you want to look amazing on your wedding day (and hang out with a really fun person), then Marissa is the person to hire. Thank you so much, Marissa!! - Megan

  Marissa did my hair and make-up for my wedding as well as my bridesmaids' and my mom's (my mom's was even a last-minute addition). I have never been so happy with my hair and my make up was awesome. They both made it through a long 90-degree day and look great in the pictures. Marissa came to my house and was fun yet very professional. Marissa made me a very happy bride.

During our trial, I asked her to do a double waterfall braid on my bridesmaids, and despite never having done this type of braid before, she figured it out in under two minutes! She was incredibly flexible too--I decided to change my hairstyle at the last minute, and she scheduled me in for a new trial that same week! Her prices are really, really reasonable, which made paying for me, my mom, and the bridesmaids (I had 6!) super affordable. My HD make-up was absolutely gorgeous, and I was so pleased with everyone's hairstyles. I was also shocked with how quickly she got everyone's hair done on the big day (and how fast she was on touch-ups after our pictures). Overall, I give Marissa a HUGE thumbs up--she was one of the vendors I was happiest with, and she made our day a breeze :)

  Marissa was awesome for our bride/bridesmaid hair. She's very flexible with location, and very pleasant and fun! She listens to what you want and is flexible with changes. Quality of hair and service was fantastic!

  Marissa is a true artist! She made a gorgeous diamond and pearl headpiece for my big day, applied my eyelash extensions, styled my hair, and applied my makeup! Marissa has an amazing personality and is extremely organized. She is wonderful to work with and is very responsive. I highly recommend Marissa and her team for your next event!

  About three months before my wedding, I found myself without a hair stylist or makeup artist when my original plan fell through. I was able to schedule hair appointments for myself and two bridesmaids at a nearby salon, but didn't want to pay their high prices for makeup application. I went on The Knot and found Marissa, whose website indicated that she was very talented and didn't charge an arm and a leg for onsite makeup application. She almost seemed too good to be true!
  
  I went for a trial run about 6 weeks before my wedding day, and it was clear that Marissa listens carefully to her brides. She did a great job and took notes so that we wouldn't have to go through any trial and error on my wedding day. That day (which happened to be her birthday!), she was punctual, cheerful, dealt with less-than-ideal lighting at my venue, and made both my mom and me feel beautiful. Our makeup lasted all day and night.
  
  My only regret is that I didn't hire Marissa to do my hair, too. Her portfolio is remarkable and I'd recommend that any Pittsburgh bride looking for the whole package in a bridal stylist call Marissa first!
