I don’t even have the words for how grateful I am for Marina! About a month before our wedding, something happened with my original photographer and I had to scramble and luckily, Marina was available. I truly believe it was meant to be because she was everything I could have hoped for and more. From the start, Marina was so professional and detail-oriented. She gave me a list of items to have ready for detail shots (which was a lifesaver!), and throughout the day she made sure me and my husband looked our absolute best. She even had oil control papers on hand and bustled my dress flawlessly, above and beyond! Beyond her professionalism, Marina made us all feel so confident and comfortable in front of the camera. She had amazing ideas for photos, kept things running smoothly, and captured the sweetest moments. We also had a second photographer, Kendra, who was equally amazing and such a joy to have with us. I will be forever grateful for Marina and Kendra. If you’re looking for a photographer who is not only incredibly talented but also caring, organized, and such a calming presence, Marina is the one. Truly the best decision we made! Everything happens for a reason!! -

Marina is the best and we are so in love with our wedding gallery! We were so happy to have her for our June 2024 wedding at Zorvino Vineyards! We found her through their preferred vendors list and it was a huge benefit because Marina is so knowledgeable about Zorvino and friendly with their staff. We are so in love with all of our photos. Looking through our album, Marina captured our day perfectly as we remembered it. She was quick and efficient, but took time to show us sneak peeks on her camera throughout the day and checked in multiple times to ask if there were any other photos we wanted to take that we hadn’t yet. She captured the perfect combo of portrait/posed photos and candids. We had our engagement shoot with Marina as well, and she gave us a few pointers that really elevated our photos (we’re not people who are usually comfortable in front of the camera!). -

I am so happy we picked Marina and am forever thankful for the photographs she produced. Marina photographed our July 2023 wedding and welcome BBQ on the coast of Southern Maine during what has been historically one of the rainiest seasons yet. Despite our wedding day having torrential downpours and having to change the ceremony location the day of (and our whole photography timeline) our photographs came out AMAZING. Marina was quick to adjust to the new plan (which included only indoor photos for most of the day). The quality of the photos is outstanding. I absolutely LOVE them! Marina brings an elegant, classic, romantic, and soft approach to her photographs. She takes a mixture of classic poised photos as well as some candid shots. Marina’s personality is calming and professional. I would describe Marina’s photographic style as elegant and refined.
I knew what I was looking for – which is key to hiring the right photographer. For me – the biggest deciding factor was how the photographer edits in the post process stage. I wanted someone that does their own editing (not AI), uses just the right amount of grain to the photos (so I can blow them up and frame them) and someone that truly captures the day with a timeless approach (something that stands the test of time and isn’t following a trend). Marina met all these expectations flawlessly. I chose a plethora of pink, blue, peach, and lilac pastels for my bridal colors so I knew I needed to find someone that shoots photos with a true to life color (IE- no tinted hues). Marina captured my florals and bridal party perfectly. She edited certain pictures with a little more brightness. I love how those photos almost look ethereal. The pictures truly look like they belong in a magazine. When the rain finally stopped, Marina was quick to come delicately interrupt Tony and I to make sure that we were able to capture some outdoor shots by the ocean. These shots are some of our favorites.
Marina was responsive, tactful with asking if certain family members are OK in the same pictures, and an overall gentle and calming presence I was so happy to have by my side on my wedding day. When our Welcome BBQ got a bit out of hand – she was willing to go with the flow and got some great shots of our guests. Marina delivered all photos edited in both web format and large file format within a super-fast turnaround time! I would highly recommend going with Marina. Choose her for the full day – you won’t regret those early morning pictures with your bridesmaids. If you can, I recommend hiring her for the rehearsal dinner. It’s a great way to capture extended family portraits the day before so you can have a bit more freedom in your timeline the day of.

We loved working with Marina! From the moment I spoke with her on the phone about choosing a photographer I knew she was the one. She is personable and professional, and made us feel so comfortable while we had photos done! She captured every moment of our day at Zorvino Vineyards and was so much fun to work with. Her photos came back within DAYS which was amazing- looking back at our day while it was fresh in our minds was extremely special. We can't thank her enough for capturing our amazing wedding day! -

Marina is an amazing photographer. Not only is she wonderfully kind, she captures the most beautiful pictures. Our wedding photos were absolutely perfect, and it was all thanks to Marina!
From the very first time we spoke with Marina, we knew she was our photographer. My husband loved her artistic eye for beautiful shots, while I loved her editing and style. During our first call, she won me over by being so knowledgeable about wedding photography, a true expert at the top of her industry.
She was very flexible when we wanted to travel to RI for our engagement photos (a place that was special to us) and we were so excited about that. She is willing to go above and beyond to make sure you are represented on your special day.
I cannot say enough about Marina except I hope she is available on your day! Look no further for a wonderful photographer!

Melissa Sent on 10/23/2015For my husbands gift I really wanted to do a Boudoir session. I found a lot of local photographers and read a lot of different reviews. When I talked to Marina she made me feel really excited and calmed me down. I was really nervous about booking it and also really nervous about doing it. When I first got to her in home studio I was nervous and anxious. I got changed and Marina took it from there. She showed me different things to do, how to pose, and what looked best. Her suggestions were spot on and half way through I was a lot more comfortable. After the session we sat down to pick pictures. I was in shock at how great they came out and that it was actually me. She sent over the book in the time frame she said and I loved it. My husband loved it too. Marina was really sweet and so great to work with. I would recommend her for anyone looking for something private and comfortable and great pictures. -

Jennifer Sent on 09/11/2012Kevin and I chose Marina based off other reviews that we had read about her through various web searches Thank God we did! She was singularly the best vendor/service provider we had throughout our entire wedding experience, hands down. She is an amazing, amazing photographer who is both incredibly talented and also a wonderful person to work with.
Marina really goes out of her way to make sure that she does the best job possible. She had a great assistant with her, was completely unobtrusive and respectful, and when we received the pictures I was just in awe of her talent and so grateful that we had picked her. Our wedding was probably not the easiest for her to shoot: it was one of the hottest days of summer, humid beyond imagination, and (as we later found out through friends) had a few impediments thrown before her that she dealt with grace and professionalism.
If you get Marina as a photographer (book her early!!!!!) you will have wedding pictures that are unique and stunning. She does not do generic pictures--she has an amazing range that captures the beauty of your day in ways you couldn't have imagined. Everyone that has seen them so far is absolutely blown away and thinks that they look like something you see in a magazine--just spectacular. And she is funny and so sweet to work with. We cannot recommend her highly enough. -

Chase Sent on 12/27/2011Marina is by far the most professional and talented photographer that I have encountered. Her skill with angles, lighting (both ambient and projected), depth of field, and the overall aesthetic that is captured in her images is par-none. Were she more well known, I would have no doubts that she would be winning awards for her work.
My wife and I checked out numerous photographers before finding Marina. When we saw her work we knew that she was the right match for us, visual-wise. When we met her, our feelings were solidified. She is extremely personable and will work with her clients to help create the visual image that they would like, which also reflects her superb creativity and visual flair. She is incredibly easy to work with and we simply can't speak highly enough regarding her people skills.
Marina's approach to wedding photography is very laissez-faire. With minimal direction for "set" photographs (such as wedding parties and engagement sessions) she will guide the couple or group into the general direction in which she pictures the scene and then let you do your thing. Her guidance combined with the additional "hands-off" approach leads to some phenomenal moments that would otherwise never be captured on camera. It is a remarkable mix in which she orchestrates her filming.
Marina's customer service is excellent. We are friends with her on Facebook and communication has never been an issue. I'm truly proud to say that she is the one who did our wedding photos.
Photography has been a background for members of my family, and we can all honestly say that we are thoroughly impressed with all aspects of Marina's work. We really can't recommend her highly enough. You won't go wrong if you choose Marina Zinovyeva for your wedding photographer. -

Throughout the chaos she kept a smile on her face, directed us where to go, helped me with my dress, kept my dogs off me and the maids, didn't seam stressed - which helped with my stress, and waited for me at my house for over an hour while we were late at the salon...she was silly and professional at the same time. She got great shots because our chemistry was wonderful! She did more than your average photographer by helping me through the ceremony and with all the rush. I would recommend Marina to ANY bride - she is a PERFECT choice AND nicely priced :)

Marina goes above and beyond what is asked of her and makes suggestions that adds wonderful excitement and lifetime memories to any event. Her kindness, professionalism, and sincerity makes her a fantastic wedding/event photographer. I've also used her for professional headshots and she is terrific! Marina took my boudoir photos (May 2024) that I gifted to my husband on our wedding day (October 2024). Marina is amazing - she instantly made me comfortable and had the best prompts to keep my face and body posed perfectly. I had so much fun and felt so empowered during our session - I instantly wanted to book another one! I received my album just over 3 weeks after our session. There was a slight printing issue (my lips and hair looked blue in a few album photos) and Marina had it reprinted and mailed at no charge; the reprint arrived two weeks after the original. Marina was sweet and fun and I would recommend her if you are considering a boudoir shoot (which you should because it was SO fun, especially during the gruel that wedding planning can be). Oh, and my husband LOVED the album - his jaw was on the floor. Thank you Marina!
