To start this review, I have to rave about Amanda. She is AMAZING! She is very knowledgeable, professional, and responsive. She answered all of our questions and was there to make sure everything went smoothly on our wedding day. She genuinely cares about your big day. She is lovely.
The food and bar! The food was so great. From the appetizers to the plated dinner, everything we ate was delicious. The staff was so kind too. We had an open bar with two signature drinks. I heard from a couple guests that the bartenders helped them pick a fun drink and they really enjoyed how helpful they were.
Thank you to Amanda and everyone at Marie's for the amazing food and service at our wedding. You all rock! -

Amanda was available via email at any time, and she definitely went above and beyond to coordinate everything from the food, the table settings, and the entire flow of the day. She was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. She listened to our and our guest's preferences and needs, and customized a menu that suited our taste and budget. The food was delicious, fresh, and plentiful. The staff was courteous, efficient, and attentive. Amanda was absolutely amazing in helping us organize our food and drink menus. We also had a delicious sweets, late night snack, and Hors d'oeuvres selection. I don’t like cake but our wedding cake was very very good as well.
I fully recommend asking for Amanda to assist you on your wedding day. She brought up a lot of good points that we never thought of and were able to implement into our wedding.
As far as recommending their services to others, it won’t be needed because everyone at my wedding went out of their way to say how amazing the food was! -

My husband and I can't say enough good things about Marie's Catering. From the very beginning, Amanda was very helpful in answering our questions, being responsive, and working with us to create a menu that we wanted. We were astonished by how much food was provided at our tasting, all super yummy, and so we eagerly booked them for our reception. We opted for family style so each guest could enjoy all the dishes, and boy are we glad we did! We had DOZENS of guests come up to us that night, and since, RAVING about every dish. Everything being so delicious and cooked perfectly was even more impressive when you consider they served over 100 people. The servers were great and very attentive and even boxed up my husband and my leftovers, which was such a treat we were not expecting. I honestly don't think you could find better quality food, bar package, and service for the price. Highly recommend! -

Wow, I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Marie’s. We chose Marie’s after booking our wedding at Danada House, which took place in July. Amanda was truly AMAZING! Not only did she help us every step of the way, including through 3 rescheduled dates due to the pandemic, she went above and beyond for us, helping in every way to coordinate our reception. I felt so comfortable on the day, even though we didn’t have a wedding planner/coordinator. The food was fantastic, and our guests loved the late night snacks! If you are getting married at Danada House, Marie’s is your caterer! If you are not getting married at Danada House, look into Marie’s if you can! Thank you, Marie's & Amanda, for helping to make our wedding day absolutely perfect! -

Hiring Marie's Catering was one of the best choices we made for our wedding at Danada House in Wheaton, IL. From our first meeting with Amanda it was clear that she is an expert in this field. She knew Danada House especially well and was able to guide us through the process. Also all of the food was amazing at our tasting!
Amanda was an irreplaceable guide through the entire process. She was quick to respond to any questions or request. On the wedding day, we had to switch to an indoor ceremony and she handled this adjustment with ease. Amanda was present throughout the wedding day and checked in with us to make sure everything was going as we wished. The servers and bartenders were friendly and efficient.
We would highly recommend Marie's Catering! -

We can't say enough about how amazing Marie's Catering was. They were the best-priced option from the list of approved caterer's at our venue (Danada House), so from the start they were the winners. Then we learned they offer Polish sausage and the deal was done (requirement at a Polish wedding, and the fam was crazy for it. Polish sausage approved.) The rest of the food was DELICIOUS (Chicken a la Marie!!) and they let us bring a special bottle of champagne to serve to us (bride and groom). Amanda, our event coordinator was absolutely amazing and on top of everything. We didn't have a wedding planner or even day-of coordinator, but Amanda basically took care of everything we needed - setting up table settings, escort cards, guest book, etc. that we provided for her so we didn't have to worry about set-up. She even set up our minimal ceremony decor. They also provided our wedding cake, which was both beautiful and delicious, with the decor we provided. Everything ran on-time and smoothly thanks to Amanda's experience and familiarity with the venue and other vendors. We have nothing bad to say about them! -

Amanda was so helpful, knew our venue well, and worked with us on all of the little details! We had some of our own glassware we wanted to use, and the staff took the time to wash and pack it up for us at the end of the night. Everything was set up perfectly, and the bar and wait staff were wonderful. The food was delicious. We highly recommend Marie's! -

Our whole experience with Marie's Catering for our wedding in August was amazing. My husband and I had little knowledge about what it took to plan a wedding and they really helped us and made it so much easier and less stressful. A big part of that was Amanda Maciulis, the event specialist we worked with. She was amazing! Professional but friendly, detailed oriented, honest, hardworking, responsive, and so patient and helpful through everything. She put my mind at ease many times. She also referred us to some of our other vendors including our DJ and florist who we were also very happy with.
I like Marie's because many of the different parts of a wedding were included in the package we choose, for example, linens and the cake so that was less work for us and a good value. We looked at several other caterers but Marie's food sounded good without being too simple, fancy or expensive. They had a good selection of options for entrees, sides, vegetables, and even late night snack options. The prices were very reasonable.
The day of the wedding the service was excellent, my guests loved the food and everything looked great and went smoothly.
I would highly recommend Marie's Catering to anyone. -
Tracy Sent on 08/12/2018We got married at Danada House and Marie's was one of the approved caterers. We contacted Marie's and were amazed with the value as well as how professional Ericka was, answering all of our questions.
We opted for the Peppercorn crusted Sirloin and the Chicken a la Marie. The meals were amazing. After dinner and the next few days, I probably had 20 plus people tell me that their dinner was amazing! Some of our guests said it was some of the best wedding food they've ever had, and that was definitely the case for us. I highly recommend the Chicken a la Marie and Yukon Mashed potatoes.
Ericka was very helpful throughout the whole process and very organized with her emails. She answered all of our emails promptly and asked us questions so the night was extremely smooth. We can't thank her enough for everything she did.
If you have a chance to hire a caterer, we highly recommend Marie's Catering! If we could rate them with 6 stars out of 5, we would!

Marie's catering thought of every single detail before I even thought to ask. They made sure my new husband and I had all the food we wanted to eat plus appetizers since we couldn't make cocktail hour plus they even had drinks waiting for us at the table for when we sat down! Their service was incredible and they catered to us so well! Everyone said the food was fantastic! Ericka and Amanda did an amazing job helping me plan and day of! I cannot say enough great things about Marie's catering and Ericka! ! I didn't have to worry about anything because you guys knew what you were talking about! You helped me with many of the decisions! Your experience and expertise in wedding planning was very much appreiciated! Thank you so much for everything you did! I highly highly highly recommend Marie's not only for the amazing food but also for the exceptional service and dedication to making your special day exactly what you hoped it would be!

Jeny Sent on 05/01/2016If you're looking for a wonderful caterer, then look no further than Marie's! We started out working with Kathy (who retired at the end of last year) and then with Ericka. Throughout our whole experience, we always felt taken care of, listened to and valued. I have celiac and wanted to make sure that every entree we served was gluten free, more out of a matter of principal than anything. (Knowing what it's like to have dietary restrictions, I wanted to give my guests who are also gluten free an evening where they didn't have to ask any questions.) Marie's double checked and modified every ingredient without question or issue. We had many other guests with different dietary restrictions as well, and each of those was handled with utmost care. We couldn't have asked for a more attentive and thorough caterer. The food was delicious-- everyone was raving about it. Ericka checked in with us throughout the evening, making sure that everything was going alright and seeing if we needed anything. In all, Marie's was absolutely fantastic and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. My husband and I have already agreed that any and all parties we host in the future will without question be catered by Marie's! -

Ashley Sent on 08/14/2013I had Maries Catering for my wedding in October. I was very pleased with the staff. Erica is amazing, super helpful and will answer any questions you have in a timely manner. They had a lot of different options to choose from. We decided to do the family style option for our wedding. They were very accommodating with food allergies and special requests. The only thing I have to complain about was the food on the night of the wedding reception. Several people complained to me that their food was cold. They asked the staff to bring out new food but it was still cold. I didn't have any problems with the food at my table though. I felt like the dessert table was pretty pricy for the options they gave the guests. There wasn't as a big of a selection as they made it seem. After an hour of the food being out there was hardly anything left and some quests complained that they wish they kept bringing out more options and would keep it stocked. Another issue I had with them is that they are on the pricy side compared to other vendors. They do charge you a lot for little extras here and there and the prices can be a bit unreasonable. I didn't like the fact that we had to pay more for nicer glasses instead of just cheap clear plastic cups... with how much you pay... you should be able to get something other than clear plastic. Overall I would give them a B-.
