I can't say enough good things about these two. Not only are our pictures AMAZING but Mariel has a way of kindly and thoughtfully organizing the "chaos" of a wedding party and gently leading everyone. The results are absolutely incredible - seriously, our photos are so beautiful. Plus, she truly loves her job and gets so excited about the photos. It truly was so fun to have Mariel & Joey be a part of our day. We wouldn't have it any other way. :)

Mariel and Joey did a FAB job on capturing our special day. Not only did they exceed my expectations, they BLEW THEM AWAY. I can't stop looking at my pictures. They did our engagements, bridals, and wedding day coverage. We will always have these pictures to cherish! Thank you Mariel and Joey for going above and beyond for us!

Mariel and Joey were my roommates in college and others told us to "not work with friends." After the wedding, those same people said the work that these two did was OUT OF THIS WORLD. They are amazing. It's so easy to work with them, they have a way with everyone at the event to make them feel comfortable and smile their best smile, they are on time (early), and the quality of their work is better than any one out there. I guarantee it :)

I couldn't say enough positive things about these two! Prior to engagement photos, we had never done a professional photo shoot before, and they were excellent at making us feel comfortable in front of the camera. They captured so many wonderful moments on film on our wedding day that it's impossible to choose favorites. And they did so much more than take photos - handling toddler madness during family photos, making sure we were hydrated, letting me know that we were on schedule so I would relax, driving us around in a golf cart to capture some scenic pics, and just being easy and fun people to be around. I would highly, highly recommend them to anyone needing professional photography for any any reason!!

This huband/wife team took the time to really get to know the bride and groom and what they were looking for in photos for their wedding. The day of the wedding photo time went smoothly and quickly. They took charge and made it all happen all while really never seeing them. I highly recommend this team for your wedding.

Mariel and Joey are fabulous. Their final products are incredible, flawless, and truly perfect, but that's only half of the reason I love them and recommend them to every person I know. The wedding day can be stressful and very chaotic, but Mariel and Joey do not add to the busyness. They are calm and positive and uplifting. So much is going on, but they know where to be, and they never miss a shot. They both have a love for people that pours from their hearts at every encounter. Even photo sessions can be awkward and weird, but they make it an enjoyable, relaxing experience. They're good hearted people who are gentle and kind and work well together. They want their customers to be happy, and they go the extra mile- literally to make them happy. :) They drove out to Granbury twice for me and my husband.

Never a complaint here. Love them both dearly.

We used Mariel and Joey Photography for our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures (5/24/2014). To quickly sum up this review- USE THEM!! They are awesome.
We first met them when they were doing another friend's wedding and after seeing pictures from that wedding, we knew we wanted to use them as well. Besides the most important fact that they take wonderful pictures, they were also so great to work with. Very professional, helpful, dependable and thoughtful. We didn't use a wedding planner so they were extremely helpful in the logistics aspect providing a suggested timeline for the day in order to ensure appropriate time for First Look pictures, family pictures, etc. They also sent numerous questionnaires throughout the process to make sure they knew about us as a couple, e.g.- for our engagement pictures to properly plan what kind of pictures we wanted, shot list for the wedding to make sure they knew what kind of pictures we wanted and expected. I thought the questionnaires were very beneficial in ensuring our happiness with the pictures. They also responded to any questions I had in a very timely manner, which was appreciated.
This husband/ wife team made us feel very comfortable while taking our engagement pictures and wedding pictures, allowing us to be ourselves and capture our happiness/ giddiness in the pictures. Something else I was impressed with was their ability to be at the wedding taking pictures without being "in the way". They were able to document aspects of the day from various view points, especially during the ceremony, without being noticed.
Lastly, we have seen all of our pictures now and LOVE the pictures they took for us. They captured our day in such a special way and we are so thankful we chose to use this team. Thank you Mariel and Joey!!- Kristin and Matt L.

Mariel and Joey were my photographers for my wedding! I could not have been any happier. They were the perfect fit for my husband and I. I am in the wedding industry and I am very picky when it comes to vendors and they absolutely blew me away. They provided so many pictures and were very creative in their style as well. You will not regret your decision to choose Mariel and Joey as your photographers!

Mariel and Joey were so friendly, professional, accommodating, and just wonderful to work with! They were friends as well as photographers and we completely trusted them with photographing the most important day of our lives. The pictures perfectly capture the feeling of our day and we are so excited to see the details of our day through another set of eyes!!

Being from out of town, Mariel and Joey were very flexible and even met us half way to do our engagement photos. I loved how fast the turn around was for our pictures. They were very professional however we still felt like we were hanging out with friends throughout our different photo shoot for engagements, bridals and wedding.

Mariel and Joey are just amazing. I have used their services multiple times for engagement pictures and maternity pictures. As people, they are top drawer. You will not find a kinder, more understanding, and giving couple to work with. As photographers, I am obsessed with the pictures we received. The photos made me feel gorgeous (especially when I was 8 months pregnant and not feeling so pretty). They worked with us, listened to our ideas, and adapted their style into what we were looking for. I was elated with the pictures (the amount and variety) we received. I would hire them again over and over for any event! I also would recommend them to anyone (in fact, they are shooting our dear friends' wedding in a couple weeks!) We love Mariel and Joey Photography.

The quality of pictures is incredible. What passionate and talented people. They are a great couple because they are both amazing at shooting, but they also get to the technical part so well. They maintain the integrity of the original photo but can make necessary aesthetic adjustments flawlessly. These guys go the extra mile. Seriously. They want out figure out what you want in the beginning, and they will make sure you have just that. Incredibe.

They far exceeded my expectations! They quickly printed off and sent pictures to us in another state when we had a difficult family emergency. Such a thoughtful couple that never forgets the purpose of why they take the pictures that they do!

Mariel and Joey photographed our rehearsal dinner, wedding, and reception in Arlington, VA. They are extremely talented and professional photographers. They made everyone feel special and captured our special weekend in beautiful photographs. My husband and family are extremely happy with the quality of their work--- from the consultation, arrangements, and the final events. Their prices are quite competitive and worth every penny. I know there are a lot of professional photographers out there, but you will not find anyone who will care more about you and your event as Mariel and Joey will. They are funny, nice, and simply wonderful to be around and spend time with on your special day.

These two wonderful people are the kind of people that are passionate about what they do. Very fun and they enjoy helping not only couples but families capture portraits that will last for a lifetime. I'm very glad that me and my wife chose them and consider them friends. Mariel and Joey look to capture everything you want and more, because they are hands on with putting themselves in your shoes to see your vision and what you want then making it happen. I love these two people!! Yes, I said it! They are wonderful I can't say it enough!!!

Mariel and Joey were beyond helpful, extremely professional, and a joy to work with! We especially loved their thoughtfulness and the sweet cards we received periodically with encouraging words that always seemed to come at the most chaotic times when we needed them the most. I found this amazing couple at a bridal show and immediately felt at ease with them. They recommended a great place to take our engagement photos and my husband and I enjoyed the shoot. My bridal photos came out extremely well and they helped me relax when I was nervous. They were with me and my husband snapping photos on our wedding day from the time we got ready until the time we kissed goodnight. They captured all moments, big and small, and captured all the details I might have missed due to the craziness of the day. I smile every time I look at my wedding photos!

We had a beautiful celebration at our home in the Woodlands...Mariel and Joey did a great job at capturing our first moments of celebration for the upcoming wedding of our son and future daughter in law in November. I would recommend them highly...they stayed behind the scenes, and found the moments to catch...I should have gathered the various family groups that were here...that was my fault...it was fun!

I love these two photographer's!! These two photographers come highly recommended. They are very detailed and capture every moment of your event. Mariel and Joey love what they do, and when you find people like this it makes your day less stressful. They take their job and pour in what they feel the customer would want and like. Almost like they are stepping in the customer shoes.
