Above and Beyond!!

We had a little 8 or 9" cutting cake for the wedding party and like 8 dozen cupcakes and half a dozen gluten free cupcakes. Mary went above and beyond decorating!
I wanted real flowers on the cakes and told her that just a flower on each one would be just fine since that would be labor intensive already - since she would be doing it on-site. But she stuck around a long time and put beautiful mini arrangements on each one! I sent her pics on Pinterest of the look/vibe I desired and she definitely delivered.

Our guest with celiac disease said that the cupcakes were "super good!" . Highly recommend the lemon cake with lemon filling.

My advice to couples: practice cutting a layered cake at home. I did a terrible job and the slice fell into pieces lol. It made for a funny photo though. My husband did a much better job when I let him take over carving duties,

Marion & Bryan Wedding

The cake samples were well worth the cost and time to get them. We enjoyed several flavors and ultimately decided on a three-tier cake with layers containing either the pumpkin or lemon cake. Working with Mary Beth made the entire process go smoothly, especially narrowing down our cake decorating idea to a simple and elegant cake. We truly had a wonderful experience and are looking forward to opportunities to use Maribelle Cakery in the future.

Delicious Cake

We ordered the white chocolate cake with mocha raspberry filling for our wedding. It was delicious!! Moist and rich but not overly sweet. Maribelle's was super easy to work with and flexible. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful cake and fabulous service!

Choosing Maribelle cakery was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! Our cake was delicious and they coordinated seamlessly with our florist to decorate with fresh flowers. Every bite of cake was eaten by the end of the reception!

Last minute deliciousness!

We hired Maribelle Cakery about 2 weeks prior to our wedding because our previous vendor cancelled on us.

They were so amazing to work with! We had some greenery and lemons added to the cake and they worked with my florist to make sure it turned out the way that I wanted it to. They nailed it!

The flavors were absolutely amazing and pretty unique. We ended up with an orange flavor for one of the layers! I was disappointed when we didn't have any cake left over because everyone loved it so much! I am excited to order our complimentary anniversary cake from Maribelle! :)

Angela is amazing!! She is so warm and inviting. Our cake was also so beautiful, and even better than we imagined it. Her cake flavors are SO DELICIOUS AND MOIST!! She offers so many varieties, and doesn't charge extra for picking different flavors. Our cake could not have been more perfect, and I will definitely be ordering more cakes from her in the future!

My cake was beautiful and delicious! They also made us some awesome apple pies, as my husband isn't a huge cake fan. They were really helpful with figuring out how many servings we need, size of the tiers, etc. Would recommend!!

To be honest, I when I started planning my wedding, I thought that the cake was going to be the least exciting part of the process and day. THEN I went for a tasting at Maribelle Cakery and it was THE BEST CAKE I HAVE EVER EATEN (and I've lived in NYC for 10 years and eaten a lot of fancy/famous cakes and cupcakes). My mom and I had to stop ourselves from devouring every sample! Plus, the cakes were stunning. When I showed them pictures of cakes I liked, they understood my taste, and made one inspired by the pictures, but still completely unique. They also helped me surprise my now husband (!) with an adorable Groom's Cake that looked like a golf course! They responded quickly to all of our emails, and made amazing adjustments when our guest list got dramatically shorter after the hurricanes. I'm so excited to order my anniversary cake from them next September!

I love cake. Seriously, love it. The cake was important to me so I tried many of the popular places in the city. I rarely taste a cake I don't like but none blew me away until I had my tasting at Maribelle's. The OJ cake is simply the best cake I've ever had in my life. We booked same day. I ended up with a 4 tier cake designed exactly as I had requested (custom design) with sugar roses and peonies. The cake absolutely blew my mind and I am still getting comments on how beautiful and delicious it was!

Maribelle made our sweets bar for our May 7th wedding which included a three tier cake, mini cheese cakes, cake balls, a Coors can shaped grooms cake and amazing fruit tarts! I still get comments about how amazing everything was and how much everyone loved it! These girls really know what they're doing and really take their business seriously. I had absolutely no issues with communication and I didn't even worry about anything when it came to working with Angela and her team.

They are great at seeing your vision and giving feedback as well as making you feel like you're the most important customer they have. They really embody what true customer service is as well as phenomenal artistry in their baking!

You girls are great and I would recommend you over and over!

Maribelle Cakery was the first place I had a tasting and it was by far the best! I provided a picture of what I wanted my cake to look like and they made it look even better than the original! They were a pleasure to work with and everyone commented on how yummy the cake was!

I ordered my daughter a birthday cake at the last minute for her 17th birthday. I asked the bakery to use their imagination for the decorationg. The cake turned out wonderful and delicious. White, chocolate, raspberry buttercream. I will now order all my future cakes from them!!

Angela was accommodating and lovely to work with. We had asked for a custom flavor not on their menu, Rose! Every bite was melt-in-your-mouth delicious! It looked beautiful and tasted even better!

You will not find a bakery more willing to work with you to create a stunning, custom cake. Others had prescribed flavor combinations and rules about the size of the tiers based on the number of servings, but Angela at Maribelle Cakery will create exactly what you want. She has many suggested and unique flavors, but you can still customize without the added costs that others in the area demand. Her flavors are the best around, but her willingness to make a cake what the couple envisions is what makes her also stand out from the crowd. We had three flavor combinations for our wedding - each unique and tasty - including an apple spice cake with caramel filling; an orange butter cake with strawberry buttercream and fresh strawberries filling; and white chocolate cake torted with raspberry preserves & buttercream. The flavors and the design did not disappoint.

This cake is the most delicious think I have ever had. My husband and I have a large sweat tooth and these flavors hit the spot. Everyone loved all the different flavors we had for the cake, cupcakes, and groom's cake. Maribelle was easy to work with. I had not issues with communication and everything came out exactly as I had hoped. I can't wait for out anniversary so I can have more delicious cake!!

The service was spectacular- I was able to meet with them on two different occasions to try different cakes. They have a wonderful selection and they take absolutely amazing. Cake was exactly what the Bride and Groom pictured. It was truly a work of art and beautiful. The cake was yummy good - we had very little left over! I would totally recommend Maribelle to anyone planning a wedding for all of the above reasons!

Maribelle Cakery made us the most amazingly beautiful cake for our wedding! They made a special top tier that was gluten free just for me! Our wedding was everything we dreamed. The cake, the cake was just BEAUTIFUL and the center piece of our event. We worked with Angela to design a show stopper and it was the prettiest cake I have ever seen. Every detail was perfection. Maribelle Cakery made our wedding even more special, I was overcome with joy when I saw our beautiful cake that I cried. Everyone at our wedding could not stop talking about how beautiful and tasty our cake was. It was Delicious. I will recommend them to everyone, completely worth every penny. I look forward to using them for all our special events.

Angela is the best! She was so helpful in figuring out what we wanted our cake to look like, throwing out creative ideas that fit perfectly with the style of our wedding. Her cakes are INSANELY delicious and I can't recommend them enough! Her shop is a Westside GEM and her prices are very reasonable.

WONDERFUL!!!!!! The whole entire experience was top notch and the Cake was PHENOMENAL!!!!! The most beautiful cake, piping perfect with gorgeous sugar flowers that Maribelle Cakery hand makes in their shop. Love these place and I highly recommend them. It was worth every penny.

The entire staff were a pleasure to work with from our first taste testing (allowing us to reschedule at the last minute due to a family emergency), right up to our wedding day and delivering the cake. Our cake was amazing and everyone enjoyed the variety of flavors. We received our anniversary cake this past weekend and it was superb as well! Thank you everyone!

The cakes are delicious, beautiful, and they are very flexible are what flavors you want and how you want it decorated. Angela was so great to work with. We couldn't make a final decision on our last layer flavor so she let us come in again for a second tasting. Sooo worth the price.

We chose Maribelle Cakery to do our wedding cake and grooms cake for our wedding reception! We worked with Angela and she was awesome! From our first meeting where we met her and did our cake tasting we knew we didn't have to look any further.

She was very helpful and helped us come up with ideas and ways to make our cake more budget friendly. It was so hard to select 3-4 flavors because all the cake was so good and was very moist. We chose Diva, Orange with Strawberry filling, Chocolate, and Lemon as our flavors.

When we saw our cake at our reception we were so pleased with how it turned out. We also received so many compliments on how good the cake tasted! We had a lot of left overs and I was still eating it a week and half later and it was still so moist!

We can't wait to take advantage of their anniversary cake they offer on your one year anniversary! Would highly recommend Maribelle Cakery! You will not be disappointed and you will be talking about how good their cake years after your married! Seriously the best cake we have ever had!

Top notch! This was the BEST cake we had in the entire city. We loved that we were not limited with only having one flavor and one filling. We were able to have each cake layer something different so our guests could have a variety of choices! They drew a design to match our invitation designs for our cake and it was simply beautiful! We also loved the idea of eating the ENTIRE cake at the wedding and ordering a small topper at our one year anniversary to ensure that we had another great piece of cake instead of what we might pull out of the freezer! Fantastic service all around - she was answering my e-mails at 10 or 11 in the evening from her i-phone! I was also impressed with the quality of the cake and the price of the cake. I was expecting it to be a lot more and it was actually right in budget! Try them out!

This is the best wedding cake I've ever had! We had 5 layers with 4 different flavors and they were all equally good! The cake was also designed to perfection, as I provided the bakery with a copy of my invitation design and they were able to replicate it perfectly. Kevin Ford from Ford-Ellington also added gorgeous black magic roses to the design. It was stunning and it tasted delicious!

OUTSTANDING. Not only was our wedding cake the most delicious, moist, decadent, freshest piece of cake I have ever tasted (even 3 days later when we were still eating leftovers) but it was literally a work of art. I gave Seth a photograph of hand-painted flowers and he was able to replicate it to a T. I was floored by how beautiful it was.

They may be pricer than some of the other bakeries, but I still have guest telling me that it was the best piece of cake they have ever had. In my book-it was worth every penny!

My sister used Maribelle's for her cake and because of that, I knew we wanted them for ours! The cake tastes amazing compared to any other place you will go. It is always moist and their cakes look beautiful! They have tons of examples and ideas and they will go out of their way to make the cake represent you. They also did our cake for our rehearsal dinner which was on our college colors. You can order a cake on your anniversary as well so you don't have to freeze your cake topper! They are really the best place to go because they ONLY do weddings. It's not just a bakery it's a wedding cake specialty shop!

I am definitely a cake person and knew going in that our cake had to taste and look fabulous. I was thrilled that we were able to have four different flavors and truly loved every one that we picked. I came in with the color palette of my wedding and ideas of how I wanted my cake to look. Larry was more than eager to work with me on a design, and the results were beautiful. Highly recommended!

We looked around at a lot of places and tasted a lot of cakes. Maribelles not only had the best tasting cake they were the easiest to work with. We sort of knew what we wanted and instead of handing us a book and telling us to pick a number, Maribelles worked with us to design the cake we were thinking of. It was an amazing looking cake and it tasted even better!

I was so happy with our wedding cake from Maribelle! It cost a lot but it tasted and looked fabulous. Larry and Tina were so patient with me. The whole night was wonderful including the cake. We got several compliments about everything including my amazing cake! Thanks Maribelle!

Maribelle Cakery created the perfect cake for our wedding reception. They listened to our vision and made it come to life. We had four layers that incorporated their delicious flavors and some of our own ideas to suite our personal taste. The design was beautiful and very professional looking. All the staff members we encountered were easy to work with and flexible to suite our needs.

I'm a little late writing my review but here it goes anyhow! Ive got to say this cake was so incredibly yummy! Out of the many tastings this was by far the most delicious. They also have so many options! We did the diva I believe it was called with raspberry preserve filling for the majority and it was divine!! We also did chocolate with hazelnut filling and wow- sooo good! Finally for our smallest tier we did lemon with cream cheese filling which is mine and my husband's favorite.
Not only do they make delicious cakes but they also do the most beautiful designs. They'll work with you to make sure your vision comes to life. The price is reasonable but higher depending on sugar flowers and design. Couldn't praise this company more. You won't be sorry.

We loved our wedding cake and the desserts that were made by Maribelle's for our wedding. It took some time to set up a meeting and get on the same page with our ideas, but the overall result was great. Very good treats for any event or time of year.

They make the best white cake with opera cream and madagascar vanilla buttercream icing. Everyone LOVED our wedding cakes. They also helped me create a surprise groom's cake for my husband...a grand piano on top of a stage...they went above and beyond!!! Everyone was so impressed and we enjoyed eating the leftovers!!!

They were absolutely wonderful. When we first met wtih them to pick out the cake, they made the decision making easy. We went slowly- step-by-step- as to not be overwhelmed. We decided to place live fllowers on the cake and they generously added those in on the day of the wedding. The cake looked fabulous- and tasted better than any of the cakes that i've had at other friends weddings. We were truly happy with their service.

Simply fantastic. My husband and I sampled a ton of wedding cake in Cincinnati, and found ourselves sick to our stomachs after every tasting due to all the sickly-sweet sugar! Maribelle was the last place we sampled, and they were perfect. They use French techniques, which focus more on butter and sweet cream, with almost no sugar. The cake was three tiers of alternating English chocolate truffle torte and tiramisu topped with chocolate ganache and white chocolate Gran Marnier mousse. The scrollwork on the cake was especially designed by Maribelle to match the traditional Versailles Palace-styled decor of the Hilton Continental Ballroom, and they matched the lilac-colored grosgrain ribbon to the ribbons on my wedding dress. They also went through several albums of their cakes, and other people's cakes, and pointed out basic mistakes people make with wedding cakes. Seth, who did our cake himself, is young, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and incredibly talented. We couldn't have been more pleased. The cake arrived exactly on time, and they set everything up beautifully. Seth was even incredibly flexible when I was 3 days late bringing the cake-stand back!

We absolutely loved our cake!! It was so good that we were upset that we only had one slice at our own wedding because everyone just devoured it! Thankfully we saved our top tier for our one year anniversary and it was still just as good! The only downside is that we married on a Sunday, and you have to pick up your own cake on Sundays which made a white knuckle drive, other than that, I highly recommend this place!

Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous cake. We werent thrilled with the chocolate cake (more on that below), but our other guests liked it, and everyone loved the white chocolate with mocha raspberry filling and the orange butter with strawberry cream cheese filling. Maribelle cake = Yum!

Had a couple of problems with mix-ups in payment, and a BIG problem in terms of cake flavors. At our first meeting, we had discussed having three cake flavors (chocolate, white chocolate, and orange butter). At the end of the meeting, we decided to nix the chocolate in favor of more orange butter and we discussed this change during several phone calls with them. However, when our DoC Kristen spoke with them closer to the date, they told her that they had no record of the change and would not make it. Grrrrr.

Value for Cost: 10/10
Yes, I know. Maribelle is the most expensive bakery in town. But once you try their cake, youll understand why. And, unlike a certain other large, well-known bakery in town, they dont freeze their cakes at all (and YES, this other bakery DOES freeze their cakes no matter what else youve heard).

Flexibility: 7/10
See the professional bit above. I KNOW that we discussed the change (I have notes of all of it), and even though Kristen contacted them before theyd even started making the cake, they were unwilling to budge.

Quality of Service-During the tastings, they offered a great selection and really spent time with you. As I brought my own design to them, they were wonderful in offering their own ideas on how to apply it & improve it. The only issue I had was their interaction w/the florist which I will detail later

Responsiveness- I really liked how excited they were for our wedding day & the cake that we had designed. I was also really impressed that they remembered our name, cake design, & wedding date when my in laws met them at a Bakery Tasting Event.

Professionalism-Overall everyone that I interacted w/was very professional. They asked the right questions, were courteous, & took notes. The single issue I had with them was their interaction, or lack thereof, with the florist in how the flowers were getting added to our cake. As I had gone over all of my very specific design specifications with Maribelle, I expected them to be in charge of the outcomes of the cake, both artistically & in taste. Upon getting to my reception & seeing the cake, the flowers were not as I had directed covering up much of the design (and cost) of the cake. Come to find out the florist arrived after the cake was dropped off so Maribelle leave's the flower placement to the florist. Apparently this is something that procedurally happens that I was not made aware of. If I was, I would’ve gone over the cake specification w/the florist. Unfortunately I did not, as I left the artistic outcome as Maribelle's responsibility so there was a gap in communication. After the wedding, I approached Maribelle w/my concern & disappointment & they were very defensive & unassuming of any responsibility. All in all the cake was still beautiful, just not what I had contracted out.

Value-A higher priced cake vendor. With this cost you get high quality ingredients, more creative flavors to choose from, a fresh and moist cake, & the best attention to detail in design in Cinci.

The quality of the cupcakes and cake are AMAZING! We did 16 dozen cupcakes and a small cake and they were DELICIOUS! Also, the team is very responsive, I would typically get emails back right away if sent before they closed, and otherwise first thing the next morning. The only thing I was a little frustrated by was the quality of the service the day of. I was specifically told a drop-off window in the afternoon, and that they would decorate the cake with the flowers our florist provided. But when I arrived to our venue the morning of the wedding all of the cupcakes/cake had been dropped off in the venue's kitchen and the cake was not decorated. Thankfully, the owner of our venue offered to decorate the cake for us and aided us in moving the cake and cupcakes from the kitchen to the reception location (which was not held in the building). So overall, I would say the product itself was GREAT, but there must have been some miscommunication with those who delivered on what they were supposed to do the day of.

We searched for and tasted many, many vendors wedding cake samples prior to making our decision to chose Maribelle Cakery. Everyone we spoke with about this vendor raved about the job they would do for us making it an easy decision to check them out further. After our initial meeting, we were sold as well! Through the entire process and during our tasting and design meetings, we had every confidence that our cake would arrive as perfect in taste and appearance as we had imagined and participated in designing, especially since we upgraded to their "Couture" price point. (the most expensive cake design on their menu). When we arrived at our reception venue and had the opportunity to see it upon entering the facility we looked at each other and said "oh no"! Then when we had a chance to look at it closely, we almost cried. The cake was incomplete. The "Couture" decoration we agreed to, helped design and paid for, obviously had not been finished, rather just halfway decorated with portions of borders and sugar flowers. Weeks after the wedding we began to hear from our "closest" friends and family, (you know, those people who tell you the way it really is), that the cake was "nice", but dry, not that memorable and that the cake tasted like it HAD been frozen. Stunning, since they stress that they DO NOT freeze their cakes. We were and still are crushed and even more embarrassed that it came across the way it did to our guests since in our mind, the cake is as important as the wedding gown! When we called to discuss our disappointment and left a message, we NEVER, ever received a call back. Each time when calling the bakery we got the answering machine each time. Also, we found that their door is always locked at the store, unless your have an appointment). To add further insult to injury, we never received our anniversary cake, which we also paid for! We are very disappointed to have celebrated our one year anniversary with out having that as part of our celebration :(
