Perfection

Marianne and Joe were wonderful to work with! They’re fun and friendly. They’re extremely detail oriented and clear in their communication. They helped put us at ease on the day of, directed us and our families/friends really well, and kept us on time! And best of all, our pictures are GORGEOUS! We’re so happy with the whole experience and hope to use them in the future for some family shots.

Best photographers in the business

If you’re looking for the most talented and fun photographers around, then look no further. Joe and Marianne are the best in the business, and we were lucky enough to have them do our engagement shoot and their wedding. Let me just give a few reasons why they are so awesome.
1.) THEY HAVE TALENT – these two have an INCREDIBLE eye for good shots and will not only leave you with beautiful photos, but incredibly fun and unique ones that bring your personality out in each and every shot.
2.) THEY ARE FUN AND KIND – saying these two go the extra mile for you would be an understatement. They are so kind, patient, understanding, and flat out FUN to work with and that is incredibly important when selecting your photographer.
3.) THEY ARE ORGANIZED AND COORDINATED – I almost felt bad for Joe and Marianne with how much they were sprinting around on our wedding making sure everything was perfectly coordinated. They worked hand in hand with our wedding coordinators making sure we got every shot we needed and everything was seamlessly and perfectly coordinated. Even with all the mayhem of coordinating a wedding, they maintained lighthearted and fun spirits which immediately transferred to my wife and I and helped to make our wedding the best night of our lives.
In summary, my wife and I counted our blessings every day with how lucky we got finding these two amazing people to capture our big day. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend the Sanadas!! You will be so happy you got them!!!

Where to start? Marianne and Joe are AWESOME! They made our wedding process so much fun and memorable!
Marianne and Joe made us feel comfortable just being us and helped direct us in “natural” poses. We definitely got our practice in during our engagement session at the Carondelet House. They really captured the heart of who we are and their creativity really showed in both our engagement and wedding photos. Their work speaks for itself. We love both of our Light painting photos...thank you!!! They are soooooo warm and kind that we always wanted to keep in touch during the planning process. They are efficient and very quick with their responses, and always open to suggesting ideas. Their calm and friendly presence on the day of the wedding was very much appreciated, and it felt like we were just hanging out and having a good time as the day went on. Marianne and Joe definitely helped us feel "present". We can't say THANK YOU enough for the beautiful memories they captured during our engagement and wedding days!! Wonderful to work with!

Joe and Marianne were delightful to work with. They were timely, organized and so good at what they do.

I would recommend them to any and everyone, truly! They were such fun people to have taking pictures. They showed up on time and took amazing pictures. My husband and I were looking through them last night and we were soooo happy with their work.

Hiring Marianne and Joe was hands-down the best wedding decision we made! I fell in love with their work early on in our wedding planning and no other Ventura County/Los Angeles area photographers could compare. They are photography wizards and worth every penny. (Seriously, you could get married in a cardboard box and Marianne and Joe would make it the most breathtaking shoot you’ve ever seen). We adore our photos because they are beautiful, but natural – we look like ourselves. They truly captured the entire feeling of our wedding day, which was exactly what we wanted.

Not only are Marianne and Joe incredibly talented, they were communicative and organized every step of the way. Plus, they’re just a delight to be around. Since our wedding, our parents, bridal party, and guests have made numerous compliments about Marianne and Joe and said how they made everyone feel comfortable. They’re genuinely nice, thoughtful people and it shows in the way that they work.

I cannot say enough kind words about Marianne and Joe and their wedding photography! A few of my sorority sisters used them and they were instantly my favorite of the handful we researched. Our initial Skype meeting with them was a great way to get to know one another and sealed the deal for us immediately. They were nothing but a pleasure to work with during our entire wedding experience. We really like how they run their pricing-they essentially have a flat rate, which includes engagement and wedding, and then there are album and extra hours you can add-on. I appreciated this because I have a theory those that pay higher prices get more attention, service, etc. This eliminates all of that. You receive a USB for both engagement and wedding, no watermarks, so you can print your own photos. They also have this service if you want. They are such a pleasure to work with, very down to earth, like having your pictures taken by a friend, except every picture they take is FAB! They have such a good eye, very timeless, which is exactly what we wanted-classic, clean, timeless photos. They are beyond organized and assist you with everything so no detail is left out. Extensive planning sheets and they even helped me with my entire day-of timeline, broken up into 15 min increments. Now THAT is service. We received our photos in about 3 weeks (!!) and oh my goodness, it was like watching a movie going through them. We purposefully did not hire a videographer and there was simply no need with our pics. These two know exactly what they're doing-all you need to do is be present and they take care of the rest. They have a walkie system for day of, which allows them to be uber organized, timely, and efficient. We are absolutely thrilled with our photos and the experience-we would hire them again in a heartbeat!

We LOVE Marianne and Joe!! I obsessed with finding the "perfect" photographers, and pored over many different photography blogs before I fell in love with theirs. Our booking with them included an engagement photoshoot, which was breathtakingly beautiful, and they helped us select the perfect locations for this (and were very helpful with our outfitting questions beforehand). They are not only professional and shoot gorgeous photos, but they are also such fun people to be with, and they made our wedding day fun and comfortable. Joe even patiently helped my husband's groomsmen figure out how to put on boutonnieres, and Marianne instantly put all my bridesmaids and family members at ease. They worked incredibly well with our videographers as well, and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for photographers.

I am so glad we booked Marianne Wilson to do our photography! Our photographer was the one vendor I obsessed about finding the "perfect" one, because pictures are the main way we'll remember our wedding. We definitely picked the right vendor. Our pictures from them are beautiful and classic. We have several photos that seriously look like a piece of art. I couldn't be happier. Marianne and Joe were so much fun to talk to, and they made sure they captured all the people and moments we asked of them. I can't say enough good things about them.

Marianne and Joe are amazing! Not only do they have the ability to capture real, honest moments but they are both the sweetest people to be around on your special day. If you are looking for a wedding photographer, look no further. Marianne and Joe are hands down the BEST photographers ever. We had them do our recent June wedding (and our engagement photos). When we first met Marianne and Joe, we immediately loved their vibe, energy, and the sheer amazingness of their photos. Also, I personally think one of the best things about having them as our photographers is the fact that they are a husband/wife team. My husband and I feel that we are a team and really loved the fact that as we were getting married, we would have a duo that was in the exact same place…totally in love and it shows! Plus, we were blown away by all their photos and knew right away they were the photographers for us. During our engagement session they made us feel comfortable and let us have a lot of fun with everything. When we received our images we were thrilled!

When it came time for the wedding, they were extremely helpful leading up to the big day. They were always super responsive and on top of things. At the wedding they captured everything in a perfect discrete way. From getting ready, to the ceremony, to the reception they were so on top of things…when a circle of dancing formed late in the night they even jumped in and caught the crowd from an awesome angle and showed off some moves! When we received our wedding photos (so so quickly, by the way) we felt like we were back in the moment. The pictures were AMAZING. So detailed and beautiful. There were a lot of events and emotion that went on at our wedding and they caught every moment and every emotion so perfectly. It's almost hard to explain. Their presentation of our photos to us as well was so sweet…the thought they put into each part of the process really shows. We have received endless compliments on their professionalism and talent and to top it all off, they are simply great people. We love them and know you will too! But really…how do I give them more stars??

This husband-wife duo are absolutely amazing. They both are just great people to be around, even if they weren’t taking our pictures. During the planning process, they were highly available to answer all our questions and responded in a very timely manner. They were always thorough in their instructions, and their FAQ on their website was very helpful when planning and making decisions for the day. Their online tools to communicate timelines and preferences were also helpful and easy to use.
When deciding on packages, they never pressured us into anything – although their work was so great that we wished we could order every add-on possible! Both sets of photo shoots – the engagement session and the wedding day – came out so beautifully. They were even kind enough to feature our engagement shoot on their blog! They were so patient with us and fulfilled all our requests for types of shots to be taken. We made them travel outside of the Los Angeles area for our wedding, and in spite of never seeing the venue before, they placed us in stunning locations and took even more beautiful pictures. Also, in spite of encountering technical difficulties during wedding season, they still managed to return our wedding photos to us so quickly! Our album and our parents’ albums came out beautifully as well. Extremely high quality photos and materials, and we know it will last forever.
I truly loved working with Marianne Wilson Photography. I highly, highly recommend them!

My wife and I got married in August at Maravilla Gardens in Camarillo and had the pleasure of having the dynamic duo of Marianne & Joe as our photographers. These two are awesome. From our very first meeting to our Carpinteria engagement shoot to the fun sparkler pics at the end of the wedding, we had a blast with them.

Their work is impeccable. The way they use the light is mesmerizing and they're so great at putting you at ease throughout everything. They assured my wife they would get some great shots regardless of my incessant nervous stupid jokes throughout our shoot... And they sure as heck did!

They had a striking ability to tell the full story of our wedding through their photos - from the big moments to the very small details that so often get overlooked by others. It was such a blast getting to feel like we were back in the moment experiencing the energy, love, and laughs we shared with our friends and family. Marianne and Joe truly "got" us as a couple and the love that we share.

We will forever treasure our engagement and wedding pictures and are so thankful we had Marianne Wilson Photography by our side throughout the most awesome day of our lives.

Marianne and Joe of Marianne Wilson Photography did an absolutely amazing job of capturing our daughter’s wedding in Malibu this past June 2014. The pictures are stunning and everyone who has seen them commented how wonderfully the photographers had caught the moment and feel of the day.
Marianne and Joe have shot prior weddings at the Adamson House and their familiarity with the venue truly paid off. They knew what locations would work best and varied the backgrounds beautifully to take advantage of the uniqueness of the venue and the light at different times.

Marianne and Joe were a total pleasure to work with and had a calm but enthusiastic manner from start to finish. We’ve only seen the highlight photos so far but they’re a great selection and each photo is exceptional. Marianne and Joe captured the magic of the day!

Marianne & Joe were the first and only photographers that we met with to photograph our wedding. We knew immediately that they were a great fit for us because of their ease with each other, their warmth, their easygoing personalities, and their portfolio (it really speaks for itself). On the big day, they handled our giant wedding party (20 ppl!) so well. For such a big party, our photos went by pretty quickly! Marianne & Joe are also GREAT communicators. They respond quickly to emails/calls and always have an answer to our 1000s of questions. Hiring them will be the best and easiest decision you'll make during the entire wedding planning process.

Let's just get straight to it and say that unless you're an actress or a model, it can feel pretty artificial to get dressed up and have people who you've only met once before to take photos of you and your fiance...all while you're both trying to look not too uncomfortable.

Marianne and Joe are amazing because not only are they amazing photographers, they are just plain cool and awesome PEOPLE. My now husband and I kept saying how if they weren't our photographers, we'd all probably be friends with them in real life because they're so down-to-earth and easy to be around. Which is why I think our photos turned out so AWESOME! They have this ability to make you feel more relaxed, which translates to great photos. Oh, and let's not forget that they have crazy ninja photographer skills. Joe captured an amazing photo of my crying dad hugging me at the end of the aisle, and there are no words to describe it...it's my favoritist photo...so incredibly full of the emotion at that moment.

We wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone wanting amazing photos!

This little box simply does NOT contain enough room for Timmy and I to shower all the praise that Joe + Marianne deserve! If we could use every positive adjective in the world to describe this couple, those still wouldn't be enough!

Joe + Marianne truly are phenomenal photographers. Not only have the captured some of the greatest moments of our lives, but they did so in such a warm, and loving manner. They are so fun to work with - they make you feel so at ease in front of the camera (which is not easy for two nerds like us), they had fun with our large wedding party, and they even stayed to capture some really special moments later on in the night for us - which we sooooooo appreciated.
We love and are obsessed with our photos from both our wedding and engagement session. Memories of both are now plastered around our home (and families homes) and they bring us so much happiness.

What a magical job they have - to be able to witness so many happy couples on the most amazing day of their lives, surrounded by loved ones and they get the opportunity to capture every minute of that and then wrap it up into the prettiest package that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. That's a pretty incredible role that they played in our lives. We are eternally grateful to them :) Great, I am going to cry again even writing this!

Marianne and Joe and the nicest people EVER and they work so well together! The booking process was a breeze, they make everything so easy! Our friends and family raved over our engagement images and I am so excited to see what they captured of our wedding! We had a rather large group of attendants, all of which have issues focusing and paying attention, however Marianne and Joe were able to work with us despite our extreme ADD!!

If you are looking for a wedding photography team, look no further than Marianne Wilson Photography! Marianne and Joe Sanada are a husband and wife duo who are absolutely amazing photographers and wonderful people. They came to do our engagement photos, and it was immediately apparent that they knew their stuff! They are also really friendly and put you at ease. They also came with me to tour our venue to make sure there were plenty of great places to shoot portraits on the day of. On the day of the wedding they were absolute lifesavers. You can tell they are truly pros. The day would not have run as smoothly if it weren't for Joe and Marianne. Their attention to detail is so wonderful. Not only were they paying attention to photos, etc. but helped with flowers (I'm pretty sure Joe may have pinned my husband's boutonniere on him), and certain other parts of the day. They also showed up earlier than scheduled, which was nice as that put me at ease too. Now, on to the pictures. They are amazing! Repeat, amazing! I loved our engagement photos, and our wedding photos are just as fabulous. They captured every detail and so many special moments. I really got to re-live our wedding day just looking through all of the beautiful images. All of my friends who have seen the photos are in awe of them. I feel so fortunate to have had such a professional, talented, friendly group to capture such a magical day. The turnaround time for the photos was super fast as well. Marianne Wilson Photography = Perfection. Their prices are still reasonable, and I think they are worth a lot more. Priceless. Hire them.

As a full time wedding photographer myself, I knew I was going to have a hard time finding the perfect photographer for my wedding because I wanted someone that was amazing at all aspects of wedding photography: candids, portraits, details, off camera lighting, customer service, etc. A lot of photographers are good at one or two or three of those things, but it is hard to find someone who excels at them all. Marianne and Joe are excellent at all of those things and went above and beyond my expectations! I am absolutely blown away by my wedding photos. They came all the way to North Carolina from California to shoot my wedding, and they were worth every penny!

In addition, they were always very quick to respond to emails, they spent lots of time chatting with me before and after I booked them and never made me feel like they were in a hurry, and surely they were because they are awesome and shoot tons of weddings and have plenty to do! They were so flexible, easygoing, professional, and great with all of our friends and family. Everyone loved them, especially me and my husband! I can't believe how fast they sent us the finished photos. Their service is top notch. I could really go on and on.

I feel so lucky I came across their work, and even more lucky that they were able to shoot my wedding! Our pictures are AMAZING!!!!!!! Run, don't walk to Marianne Wilson Photography.

Kelsey Stewart of Marianne Wilson Photography photographed our wedding last month and I could not be happier with the gorgeous images she took! Kelsey is incredibly talented, professional and wonderful to work with. She made my husband and I, our wedding party, and all of our guests feel so comfortable, and managed to capture so many perfect moments from our wedding day. Her clear love of her work (and people in general!) allows her to create images that truly reflect the atmosphere of the setting and emotions of her clients. Marianne and Joe Sanada are hands down the BEST photographers in the world! My husband and I are so thrilled with our engagment photos and wedding photos and recommend them to everyone! We love their style and creative ideas! And their personalities rock! We love them and wouldnt ever think twice about not having them for upcoming photos we may need!

I don't even know how to begin saying how great Marianne and Joe is! They are so awesome I just want to go to every person I meet that is getting married, just dating and heck, even single and shake them until they agree to book Marianne and Joe!

I am a wedding photographer and a makeup artist so I have seen my share of photographers. As soon as I saw their photos there was no doubt in my mind I wanted, no correct that, NEEDED to book them! First I set my date with the church, after figuring out what dates they had free in March of course then buckled down and booked them!

My engagement shoot went perfectly! (even though I was an hour late because I was meeting them in LA and I was from Orange County) But they were cool about it. The pictures turned out AMAZING.

My wedding day was picture perfect, They got my candids I loved, my detail shots and the formals that my parents barked orders for. I barely noticed them there and they seem to have captured every moment perfectly.

I just can't go into all the details about how much I love Marianne and Joe because I would be typing for the rest of my life!

Marianne and Joe are incredible. They are so talented and easy to work with. Their artistic, vintage sensibility was a perfect fit for our style and our wedding, and I cant believe how gorgeous the photos turned out. They capture details and angles that make for exquisite, artistic images, and create a gorgeous album that really tells the story of the experience. The pricing is extremely reasonable given the quality of their work. Plus, they are so fun to be around, which is more important than you might realize. The time we spent with them felt like more like hanging out with friends than posing for portraits, and helped make our wedding day that much more fun. I cant recommend then enough.

Marianne and Joe did an amazing job shooting our wedding in Petaluma this month. They made everyone feel so comfortable and were everywhere to catch the perfect shots. Hard working and amazing quality!

Photography was #1 on our list of wedding priorities, and I searched far and wide for the perfect photographer within my tight budget. I can't tell you how many websites and blogs I perused during our engagement. But when I stumbled upon Marianne Wilson's website, through a Facebook ad of all things, I had to have her as my photographer. Marianne is an extremely professional photog with a great eye for beautiful shots. Featured on many of the popular wedding blogs, Marianne knows how to capture amazing images and makes you feel comfortable and natural in front of the lens. I would definitely recommend Marianne to any bride! She is wonderful!!

I had a very specific idea in mind as to what I wanted my wedding photos to look like, but I was getting very discouraged with the prices of other photographers. I was so happy to finally find Marianne! Her eye for a good photo is invaluable and I'm so glad I got to work with her and hope to again in the future.

I absolutely LOVE Marianne! She is by far the best photographer ever! I booked her for my wedding on 3/20/2010 and I'm so impressed with the pictures she took. I looked like a model! And she's so creative! We had our wedding at the Natural History Museum and she found such creative ways to display our rings and pose us next to exhibits. Everyone admired our pictures. AND she got them to us within 2 weeks after the wedding! Amazing turn around! She was very flexible too. Three weeks before the wedding we wanted a second photographer on site to get even more angles and Marianne found someone almost immediately (and we loved her too!). And the best thing about this is that she is the more reasonably priced photographers out there. We got our engagement photos and a whole day of her photography services for about $2k. We did book her super early in advance, so that helped with the price. But compared to some other photographers, Marianne was a STEAL!

We absolutely fell in love with Marianne... we now consider her a friend :) I cannot recommend her enough!

Marianne was fantastic in every sense of the word! She was easily my favorite vendor, not only because her photos absolutely gorgeous, but also because she's a great person to work with. She's super fun and friendly and communication was superb. She always answered my emails within about 24 hours. It's obvious that she loves what she does, and she always puts 100% effort in to her work.

She was also very easy going and flexible. She made at least a couple of extra accommodations to make sure we had the best experience possible, and we are so grateful. The guestbook of our engagement pictures was beautiful and quirky and just so... US! In fact, all her photos came packaged so nicely in their own leather (?) DVD cases, with a couple of our favorite prints to boot. Our portraits make us all look gorgeous, and the candid ceremony and reception photos really captured the joy and energy of the evening. Everything about our experience was great! I'll be treasuring these photos forever!

Marianne was a dream to work with! Full stars!!!
From the very first meeting, we clicked. She was absolutely personable and sweet and made everything so easy. The complimentary engagement photo session was so much fun! Marianne made us so comfortable that we got amazing, relaxed pictures that really expressed who we are. The day of the wedding was so full of excitement and anticipation, having Marianne there just added to the fun. She was the sweetest! From getting ready to the grand farewell, she was there capturing every precious second! The formal pictures were also a great experience. She made everyone comfortable and got amazing photos!
We will always treasure of wedding pictures. She was the find of the century! Amazing deal and superb service and attention. We really could not have asked for a better experience and a more attentive and loving photographer. She made sure she was documenting ever second of the most important day of our lives. I would 1000% recommend Marianne for your wedding. You won't regret hiring such a talented and super nice lady. Can't say enough about her and our fabulous experience with her.

Marianne is an awesome, highly talented, personable individual, and the pictures for our wedding came out better than we could have ever imagined. She helped us every step of the way, including the wedding album, which we just picked up yesterday, and it was absolutely amazing!! We HIGHLY recommend Marianne for all photography services.

Our photos were absolutely beautiful! Because Marianne was so friendly and made us feel comfortable, she was able to capture our personalities perfectly. I could not be any happier with her service. She is also very reasonably priced especially for the work she does! As soon as she sent me over the link to view my proofs I was glued to the computer until I had looked at every one.

She also has lots of fun products and extra ways to enjoy your photos! I ordered extra prints and a CD file from her and I literally had them 2 days later.

All around you cant go wrong I am a client for life!

Marianne was very professional and very creative. She was great taking snapshots and all of our guests were very impressed with her fun and outgoing personality. If you were to ask anyone at our wedding reception she would get probably 10 thumbs up. When we received the photos they were spectacular. She checked the images from her lab and delivered them personally!! Very great job and we are planning on using her for every event we have. GREAT JOB MARIANNE!

Marianne and Joe made us feel so comfortable - it was a dream to work with them. Not only are they simply the nicest and most down-to-earth people and willing to go the extra mile with our engagement shoot (when a location didn't work out as expected) and wedding day, but they are also professional, super responsive, timely, and A+ when it comes to customer service / developing a relationship with the couple.

Not only are they familiar with a variety of good shooting locations around LA, but they were also familiar with our wedding venue (a big plus for your photog to know the ins and outs of your venue!). Our photos were GORGEOUS and beautiful beyond our expectations; the album that they created for us was perfect - only a couple of minor tweaks, but we basically had it printed the way Marianne and Joe designed it. We will certainly be recommending them to friends.

Marianne was great to work with from start to finish! She was super responsive and patiently listened to all of our requests. She turned around our photos very quickly, even in the midst of busy wedding season After doing our engagement session with her - and loving the results - we felt really confident about our wedding day. On our big day, she brought an extra shooter (for no add'l cost) who took some of our favorite shots. However, there were a couple of moments they missed (us walking down the aisle together, limited candids during the reception), why I ranked it at 4.5 stars. I felt that her prices were great for what she provided, relative to other photographers with similar experience and style.

Marianne is the ultimate professional. She is prompt, hard working, and energetic. She has a way of making you feel at ease. She tends to every little detail of the photographing process. We always received immediate responses from Marianne, whenever we had a question or concern. Of all the wedding vendors we hired for our wedding, we were most impressed with Marianne. As a result of her work, we have beautiful photos of our special day!
