Wonderful!

Great experience! Used her for our elopement and our engagement photos, she's very relaxed and has a great eye for photos! Felt like we were having a friend take our pictures. We plan to use her for our future photo endeavors we may need.

Excellent service for my special day.

For our small backyard wedding she provided excellent service with great communication for the very beginning until weeks after our “I do’s.” She also provided the best price even with us going to a different location for more pictures. She captured our moment beautiful. I will always be thankful.

June Wedding at The Historic Post Office

Maria Grace photographed our wedding at the Historic Post Office in June. She got us all the photos we asked for and figured out a timeline that worked for us. She made us feel extremely comfortable when we met for our engagement session about 8 months prior to the wedding. She was there for getting ready photos and was there until our sparkler exit and all the photos in between. We are very happy with how they all turned out. She was very professional and I would recommend her services to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.

Beautiful pictures!

Maria and her assistant did a fantastic job! Our wedding was at the Botanical Gardens a day after a hurricane hit, our plan A for the evening was washed away. Maria was able to quickly adjust to the last minute change and provided beautiful pictures of our special day. With most of the grounds still wet from the storm, Maria was able to capture beautiful pictures with lots of flowers and beautiful scenery! We love her style of photography and love the pictures we have to cherish forever!

Classy and professional

Maria was an absolute pleasure to work with. Even before I got engaged, I loved not only her photography style, but most importantly, her attitude towards love and marriage. As soon as we got engaged, she was the first vendor we booked! From the first to the last email and everything in between, Maria was courteous, professional, and gracious. She patiently answered every question we had and did her best to accommodate us in every way she could. I would highly recommend her to any couple or looking for a photographer that will deliver elegant and genuine photos!

Due to Hurricane Florence threatening coastal Virginia and vendors canceling out of an abundance of caution, almost all of our wedding day plans had to change and change quickly. Maria Grace not only worked with us to make sure she would be at our wedding to shoot, but she was also amazingly positive and supportive throughout all the ups and downs. Her photos turned out absolutely beautiful and I am so thrilled we had the opportunity to work with her!

If you are getting married in Hampton Roads and need a photographer, HIRE MARIA!

Maria is an exceptional photographer and, more importantly, an amazing person! Her calm demeanor, sense of humor, and sweet personality brought my husband and I so much joy and peace of mind in the days leading up to and the day of our wedding.

I cannot gush enough about how BEAUTIFUL our wedding photos are. Both Maria and her husband, Nathan, perfectly captured big and small moments from our day with a light, bright, airy feel to our entire photoset.

Maria was receptive to our questions, concerns, and ideas. Working with her is like working with a close friend you have known forever...even if you've only just met! She is hands down one of the best vendor choices we made while planning our wedding. I will never hire another photographer!

Maria is the best of the best! She was a blessing to work with from start to finish and I wish we could redo the day so that we could hang out with her more! She is both kind and direct and keeps everyone in line at all times. Her flexibility throughout the day allowed for the bridal party to enjoy getting ready and helped me (the bride) stay calm and on schedule. She was incredibly responsive leading up the wedding, and always gives confident opinions even if it isn't about photography. She is full of grace and elegance, and adds such a nice touch to the entire wedding process.

Maria is nothing short of AMAZING!!! She goes above and beyond to help her clients figure out exactly what they want and need for their engagement and wedding day photography. We worked with her for our engagement photos and had a sneak peak sent to us an hour later! Maria and her husband Nathan also shot our wedding and we already had a sneak peak at the reception as well as the complete album within 2 weeks of our event. She is great to work with and very experienced at helping stressed brides with their day of timelines to ensure that not one photo is missed! I am so thankful that a friend referred me to Maria as I now have amazing photos that my husband and I will cherish forever!

I couldn't imagine hiring a better photographer that Maria. Maria took our engagement photos and we immediately knew that she had to photograph our wedding. Her husband Nathan was her assistant and the only thing better than just Maria is her with her husband. Not only do they take amazing pictures, but they keep everyone laughing and really just enjoying every aspect of the night. Maria is very detail oriented, responsive, and attentive. She makes sure that the bride and groom are happy while still making sure that she gets all of the shots to completely capture the joy of the wedding. She got us our wedding photos fairly quickly and we loved every single one of them. We couldn't be happier!

I can't say enough great things about Maria and her husband Nathan. From the very first interaction with Maria, she made everything so easy and was always quick with responses and answers to all of our questions. When we finally met Maria in person for our engagement session, it became very clear within the first few minutes that we had made such a great choice. She made us feel comfortable, gave us great direction and captured the most amazing shots. When our wedding day came, Maria and Nathan were a dream team. They kept us both calm and laughing throughout the day, were always one step ahead on everything and made the day flow so seamlessly even with a huge bridal party to wrangle for all the photos. We had wedding highlights the very next day and all of our wedding photos in such a quick turnaround. Each and every photo I look at I love even more. On top of that every person I talked to who was at the wedding or just viewing the pictures, raves about the shots that they captured and how wonderful they all are.

Maria is absolutely worth every penny!! She made my dreams come true with all the pictures she captured from our micro wedding! I could NEVER speak highly enough of Maria. We chose her because her pictures are INCREDIBLE--the colors and so vibrant, she is extremely creative, and she takes so much care to capture everyone's experience. We chose her for her pictures, but were overwhelmed with her kindness, professionalism, and helpfulness. She helped plan my wedding day and took care of all the little things we didn't know we needed. She was incredibly helpful, encouraging, and sweet, and everyone at the entire wedding loved her. She thought of everything, and her work with the details is amazing. Maria made us feel comfortable, which was no easy task. She worked with us to capture everything we wanted. My husband and I loved Maria! From the beginning she was so organized and created a detailed outlined schedule for the wedding day. Because of her proposed schedule I had plenty of time to relax before the ceremony and wasn't running around. Maria was very quick to respond to emails. She was professional and did a great job leading and guiding my family and bridal party with pictures. She gave feedback as where to place our hands and how to stand. She gave great feedback during the shoot so we would knew how to pose. Nathan and Maria make a great pair. They both took wonderful photos. They both were calm and really helped create a smooth day. Maria is more than prompt. She gave us a sneak peak after only a day or two of the wedding and we fell in love with the photos. The editing that was done was high quality. We are so thankful for having amazing photographers! The photos are breathtaking and beautiful; they captured our wedding day beyond our expectations.... priceless is the way I would describe it, just priceless!

Maria's photography will blow you away. Not just the work, but working with her. So many times throughout our two sessions (engagement and wedding) with her, my husband would remark, "She has this down to a science!" And she does: she knows the in's and out's of her business to such a degree that all of the little worries and details you might fumble with over photography session logistics just fall away and you're left with a beautifully personable experience that feels less like being in front of a camera than it does like hanging out with a friend who happens to enjoy taking photos. More than that, even the direction she gives on posing and arrangement comes out feeling more like a candid shot someone snuck when you weren't looking.

What really sets Maria apart is her love for the relationship and love that occasioned the pictures she takes. She takes the time to get to know her couples and their story so as to help them better express themselves and their love through her photography.

If you want a photographer who will agree to take your photos, show up on the day of, snap some pictures and no more, Maria is not your girl. With Maria, expect offers of help on planning pieces of your wedding, a friendly ear for walking through aesthetic details like flowers and decorations. For us, she was a key player in getting together a timeline that really worked for our ceremony and reception. She treats her clients like friends.

Finally, perhaps the best review I could offer is this: while many wedding guests remember your cake, your flowers, your food, what so many of my wedding guests have remarked upon after our wedding was Maria. They loved her clear, concise, and oftentimes funny direction for photos. They loved the energy she brought. They loved the way they could tell she was invested in the happiness of the day.

We instantly fell in love with Maria and Nathan! Securing a fabulous professional photography team was our #1 priority during the wedding planning process. Our digital memories had to be captured in our style and in our unique way. From the MGP Welcome Package to the Portrait Survey a month out, Maria impressed us. She cares about her craft and captured the candid moments we discussed. Every one of our required family photographs was secured and we're forever thankful. Returning from our honeymoon to our entire collection was a wonderful surprise. Her turnaround was incredible! We'll cherish our album forever. Maria is great!! If you are looking for someone who knows how to make a photo shoot comfortable and fun, she is the person to go to. She drove 3 hours one way to get to our wedding. The price was worth what we got! We are more than satisfied with our pictures and how the day turned out. It rained the day before our wedding and it rained on our wedding day as well. Maria contacted me the day before and made sure I was prepared and recommended a clear umbrella and was willing to help search and buy one for me if needed. She definitely cares about her customers!
I highly recommend her to anyone searching for a photographer!! :) She does LDS temple weddings as well. :)

MG Photography is an excellent choice! Her approach was extremely professional, personal, and our time with her for our engagement shoot and wedding was well spent. Communication before and after our wedding was spot on, and never lacking. Our pictures were sent to us promptly and she even had a few little surprises for us before, after, and on the wedding day. I would definitely recommend Maria Grace Photography to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. She was incredibly professional, super nice, and very accommodating. She had an amazing vision for finding the perfect pictures. She was not only willing but excited to venture out with us to Rudee Inlet because I wanted to have some pictures on the jetty rocks. Her pictures are beautiful and we are so happy! She was organized and focused on keeping our timeline while still capturing the best moments of our day.

Choosing Maria to photograph our wedding and engagement shoot is hands down the best choice I made planning my wedding. Not only is her work as a photographer stunning and timeless but her presence as a person is absolutely phenomenal. She really made both my husband and I feel calm and confident and self assured with every word she spoke and picture she took. She and her second shooter (her husband Nathan!) are the epitome of talented and professional. I would choose them again and again and again (and totally will one day down the road for family pictures.) I seriously cannot recommend this photographer enough- I wish there were more than five stars to give her.

AMAZING!!!! Maria was so great!! I absolutely loved working with her! From our very first conversation I knew she was going to be amazing!! I am not local to the VA area, but she still took time out of her day to video chat with me to make it feel like we were meeting in person so that she could get a better understanding for our wedding plans and so that we could connect! She traveled to Philadelphia for our engagement shoot and our wedding. Both our engagement photos and our wedding photos are SO GREAT, she captured all our favorite moments so beautifully. While we absolutely loved every photo she's taken of us, we loved hanging out with her and her husband just as much! Together, they are both the most kind, caring, patient and FUN people to be around. They made us feel so comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera and also as we prepared to take the biggest step of our lives. My family and friends loved having them around as well! I can't tell you how many compliments I've received on all our photos since the wedding, but I can tell you what always follows is a statement reflecting on how much fun the group had spending the day with both Maria and Nathan. My wedding day certainly would not have been the same without Maria Grace Photography!

Maria was very professional, prompt, and talented throughout all of our dealings with her. In addition to our wedding, we also did an engagement session with Maria. It is very important to note that we had access to all of our wedding photos within two weeks of our wedding (also within two weeks of the engagement session). We were perusing wedding photos in Italy on our honeymoon, as they were all accessible online via a link shareable to friends and family. Our wedding will be featured in a local magazine, thanks to her talented work! We specifically asked Maria to focus on catching intimate and candid moments, as we aren't big photo "posers”--she did not disappoint! She also did an incredible job coaching us on how to pose for pictures during both events, making us feel very comfortable and open. She was excellent at helping us schedule our entire wedding day, and kept up the pace of the day during the event itself. She certainly did more than just take pictures: she collaborated with other vendors, helped coordinate/schedule much of the day, mentored us when planning, guided us when posing for pictures, and handled it all with poise and class. We continue to receive cards and sweet notes from her months after our wedding, demonstrating how passionate she is about her work and how much she cares for her clients. We most HIGHLY recommend her services. We have heard from friends who had poor experiences and feel very blessed that she exceeded our every expectation.
