Margo and her team were absolutely amazing! We did have a bit of an issue finding the place for the first time, but once we were inside, it was a great experience. I was pretty confident that my dress didn't need a ton of work - raising the hemline, shortening the straps, and adding a bustle. But once I got into the dress with my corset underneath, we discovered it stuck up above the back of the dress. Margo said it wasn't a problem, and she'd add a panel to cover the corset.
I have to admit that I was a little concerned about how the longer modesty panel would look. I've seen a lot of dresses that have very obviously had something added to them. But when I went back for my second (and final) fitting, it looked amazing! She found fabric and lace that matched the rest of the bodice perfectly.
The price was a little steeper than I expected ($750-ish), but a good chunk of that was adding the panel, and for it to look like it belongs definitely was worth it! Margo clearly has a lot of experience with wedding gowns, and it shows in her work. -

After a bridal salon completely botched my measurements, I wound up with a gown WAY too small and quite disproportionate to my body. I was a "budget bride" with a dress disaster. Nothing about it fit, especially since I am tall with a long torso, large bust, and small waist. I spent weeks searching for the right person to fix this mess. I only wanted the best and wow, I found it! Margo restructured my entire gown to perfection. She also handled some extra customizations for me, including joining together the deep plunge neckline (with perfectly matched lace!), removing the zipper back & adding a corset, and adding a bustle. The dress is two-toned multi-layered champagne/ivory lace with silver metallic threading and silver glitter throughout the layered tulle skirt. Margo's work was seamless (forgive the pun!) - it looked like the entire gown was made just for me. My dress was pretty to begin with, but it became a show-stopper!
In addition to her incredible work, she is simply amazing to work with. She was so patient and helpful throughout all my emails, calls, and design finalizations. I had a blast at my dress fittings! Margo is so enjoyable to be around and always kept me smiling. Her sister helped me at my final fitting & pick up appointment - she is an absolute angel too! Also, their studio is gorgeous!
If you are looking for help with your dress, rest assured you will be in the best hands here. Don't settle when it comes to quality! I will forever recommend Margo West to all of my clients, friends, and family. -

The women at MWBA are so much fun to work with! They made a Berta wedding gown fit like a glove on a 5’1” petite person. My dress had intricate detailing and they handled everything grace — getting rid of tulle, not compromising the glitter + 3D flowers and most importantly the bustle!!! I had a monster of a train and MWBA tackled this challenge without removing any material and kept the the beauty of the silhouette. Wedding alterations were not cheap but it was worth it! -

Ms. Margo and her staff did a wonderful job on my wedding gown alterations. I asked to turn my fit and flare style dress to be transformed to a mermaid silhouette. She gave it the perfect amount of “mermaid” without taking away from the original beauty and design of the dress. She was very patient and allowed multiple fittings to ensure I was pleased with the progress. My goal was to see my husband cry as I walked down the aisle, and my goal was accomplished. I highly recommend Margo West Alterations. -

I am pretty sure she had to basically remake the dress to fit me and there were so many lace appliques that I do not know how she did it all. Margo made me feel like a bride and was able to quickly address any concern I had about the dress. She also took the time to teach my mom and sister how to bustle my dress and how to easily do all the buttons on my dress. Margo wasn't there on my wedding day, but because of her getting me into the dress was super easy! -

I came in crying thinking I had ruined her special day and they fixed it. The dress turned out beautiful and looked just liked I walked out of the store with it. Incredible Service!
Margo’s customer service, shop and her work was amazing! My dress was a bit big for me, but the design was so intricate and detailed that I was afraid it wouldn’t look the same if I had it taken as much as it needed.
Margo worked her magic, if fit amazing and looked as if it was never touched! Ever bead, lace and design was perfect.
On time! One price! Beautiful work! She even gave my Bachelorette jumper a little hem for me.

Wedding gown

There were quite a few things that needed to be done (add sleeves, attach top and bottom, take in, etc.) and she had it done and ready for me extremely fast! I even took it home the day of my first fitting! Although, when I got it home there was an issue I noticed and called her immediately. She was SO supportive and willing to get it fixed as soon as possible! I could not be more thankful for Margo and her team!!

Dominique Sent on 03/14/2018Margo and Pat were beyond exceptional!!! They were always professional and kind. When I purschased my bridal gown the dress was an exact fit and a bit snug. They opened the dress and loosened inches on both sides, removed the boning of the original dress so that it would lay flat and move with my curves, altered the hem of the gown, added elegant removable sleeves, added a bustle and steamed the gown before my big day!!!! I highly recommend this atelier and am confident that you will be a happy customer!!! I will never let anyone else do my alterations!!!!
