We absolutely loved working with Marcus for our wedding! He was a fantastic MC and did an amazing job working with the long list of must-plays we had all the way through our entrance, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing through the end of the night. He also did a great job of shepherding people where they needed to go be it for hors d'oeuvres and desserts or out to the dance floor :) It was a fantastic night and Marcus was an integral part of it. -

My wife and I booked DJ Marcus for our wedding in November 2025, and he ended up being the best DJ we could have hoped for. I usually do not love DJs who have that overly hype, sports announcer style when it comes to emceeing and making announcements, but Marcus is the complete opposite. I first met him at another wedding I was working a few years ago, and he immediately stood out. His emceeing had real class and warmth, and the dance floor was lit. I remember thinking right then that when I got married, he would be my first call.
He exceeded our expectations in every way. Marcus is extremely organized and thorough, and during our final meeting he went over everything in detail, including coordinating with the band I arranged for our ceremony so there was a clear plan for everyone’s sound systems. One of my biggest pet peeves is bad audio at events, and he made it so I did not have to worry about it at all.
On the wedding day, I was genuinely impressed by how much he handled as a one person team. He set up three different sound systems and all of them worked flawlessly for the ceremony in the on site chapel, the cocktail hour space, and the reception ballroom. Our bridal party also wanted very specific timing for entrances, including a moment where the girls interrupted the guys’ dance, and Marcus took the time to go over the timing with everyone beforehand. I have seen entrances like that get botched when the DJ does not pay attention, but ours came out perfectly, and it was because Marcus cared enough to rehearse it with them.
He also has a ton of technical skill. He helped my sister and dad set up a vocal and guitar performance they prepared for us and made sure there were no issues with the wireless pickups they were using. He is sharp, professional, and efficient, and everything sounded clean and balanced all day. As someone in the video industry who pays attention to AV, I really noticed the difference. No feedback, no wireless interference, just smooth audio that made the whole event feel seamless.
And when it was time to party, Marcus absolutely delivered. He gave great advice on how to get people onto the dance floor, kept every transition smooth throughout the night, and did a great job reading the vibe and culture of the room to keep the energy high. The lighting he brought was also a great touch and made it feel like we were in a club even though it was a daytime wedding.
Easy 5 stars. I would recommend DJ Marcus to any couple who wants a DJ they can trust to run a flawless wedding and throw an amazing party. -

We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! From the very first song to the last, our guests (from kids to all the aunties in their 70s dancing like they were teens again) were on their feet all night and having an absolute blast. So many people came up to us during and after the reception to compliment the music and the energy. Marcus paid close attention to every detail we discussed (seamlessly transitioning from disco to 90s to 00s to today’s music), read the crowd perfectly, and kept the dance floor packed. His passion truly shows in his work, and it made our night unforgettable. Highly recommend! -

If you are looking for a highly professional and sophisticated DJ who breaks the mold of the typical "cheesy" wedding MC, look no further! Marcus was exactly what we were looking for and absolutely knocked it out of the park!
He was super professional and executed all of our ceremony music perfectly, ensuring every cue and transition was seamless. For the reception, he provided just the right amount of MC-ing and introductions to smoothly move the evening along without ever dominating the spotlight. Most importantly, he listened to our tastes and played all of our favorite songs! The energy was incredible, and Marcus kept the dance floor packed all night long with us and all of our guests. Hiring Marcus was one of the best entertainment decisions we made and we couldn't recommend him enought! -

Marcus was the DJ we had for our wedding in Brooklyn. As a DJ myself I can tell you that he was flipping fantastic. He provided music for the ceremony, and microphones for the officiants, and he went above and beyond in his preparation for our big day. He curated a playlist of all the songs we wanted to hear and read the crowd perfectly. I would highly recommend him for any party, not just a wedding. He was also an excellent compare. Marcus did such an amazing job DJing our wedding, we couldn’t be more thrilled. He is extremely thoughtful with his work. He took careful note of my husband and my musical tastes and preferences, as well as the vibe of our wedding, instead of playing a standard tired playlist. Per our request, he blended in some Latin music seamlessly. The dance floor was full and lively all night long, exactly as we had hoped for! He played songs we hadn’t requested but that we love, leaving me wondering how he could have known so well what to play. He also respected our “do not play” list, as I found out multiple guests requested songs on it and he politely declined.
Marcus is very thorough and organized which made working with him so easy- he was on top of all the details, order of events/cues, even reviewed proper name pronunciation with us in advance. The event manager at our venue said she loved working with him and was very impressed.
Marcus has such a kind and warm personality, and a really special talent- we feel so lucky that he was part of our big day! -

Marcus was incredible! He was the best wedding DJ we could have ever asked for. Right from the beginning, he was thoughtful, prompt / responsive, and such a pleasure to work with. We are not huge music people, and he was incredibly helpful in guiding us towards a collection and vibe that was fun for our guests, included our favorite songs, and kept everyone dancing all night. He even singlehandedly designed the cocktail party mix because we weren't sure what we wanted. As an emcee, Marcus was a poised and tasteful presenter, who was very organized and well-spoken around our "run of show." We had many friends tell us Marcus was the best wedding DJ they had ever heard - and we agree! -

Marcus was an amazing DJ and helped us achieve our dream wedding. If we could go back in time, we would’ve contacted and engaged Marcus as our first vendor. His attention to detail and experience in the industry is priceless and helped us figure out all of the small details and timeline for our big day. Marcus met with us multiple times throughout the planning process - during our last meeting we spoke for almost 2 hours meticulously going through details. With such careful planning, my (now) Wife and I were able to enjoy the day stress free as everything was entirely figured out. Lastly, and most importantly, Marcus absolutely lit up the dance floor with his DJ set. Our guests loved the music, the dance floor was never empty, and the transitions and announcements by Marcus were perfectly executed. Best DJ EVER! So friendly and so much knowledge
Marcus was the first DJ we spoke to for our wedding and we immediately knew he was perfect for us. He has a deep wealth of knowledge on all music genres and was incredibly easy to work with. His background as an experienced NYC club DJ really shines in his music library. He accommodated all of our requests, incorporated our music interests (kpop, metal), and even provided perfect suggestions for recessional and cake cutting music when we didn't know what to pick. In all our meetings with him leading up to the wedding, Marcus was warm, inviting, and energetic. This was exactly the mood we wanted to have on our wedding day and he really came through. On the day of, he was fully prepared with mics, speakers, etc. and helped prep us for each event with extreme professionalism. Our dance floor was never empty and Marcus made our wedding feel like truly our wedding, not just another typical, mainstream wedding. -

We are so lucky to have found Marcus for our wedding. He was professional and communicative but also warm and personable. Multiple guests commented that he was the best DJ they had heard at a wedding and particularly complimented his smooth transitioning. We gave him an eclectic mixture of songs spanning from kpop to bossa nova to reggaeton to motown. Marcus crafted an artful lineup out of our favorites and layered in recommendations of his own to fill in the cracks. The vibes were immaculate during cocktail hour and our friends and family had a blast on the dance floor. -

We went with Marcus Ho after reaching out to 10+ DJs in the NYC for quotes. Marcus Ho was among one of the most affordable, but through our initial calls with other DJs, he was also the most communicative, accommodating and organized DJ we talked to. After having our wedding, we were SO GLAD to have went with Marcus, and we've recommended him to a couple other friends as well.
Reasons why Marcus was awesome:
1) Was able to customize all the songs/playlists to our liking. We had individual walkout songs for each groomsman/bridesmaid pair.
2) Music was awesome! Transitions were very professional, fluid and sounded at times like we were at a club! Some of these songs are not easy to transition from one to another.
3) Good equipment, sound quality - I've been to way too many weddings where the ceremony/speeches you get feedback or it's not loud/too loud. Not at ours!
3) DJ + emcee all in one. You only pay tip once and only for one vendor meal!
4) Overly, very communicative, came early, video chatted with us a couple times before the wedding and overall a+++ experience!

Marcus was a true professional from start to finish. He was organized, prompt with communication, and very knowledgable. During the reception he was able to quickly adapt according to our guests’ energy and diverse tastes, and even revived the dance floor a few times. I wish I had a photo of him during the event, he even tailored his setup to the aesthetic of the venue and it looked perfect!

DJ Marcus Ho is the best DJ and one of the best (if not the best) vendor we worked with for our wedding. He was extremely professional, communicative, and played fantastic music. He answered me same day when I had initially started reaching out for DJs and his initial email had a good amount of information I needed, including cost, packages, and other details you are looking for with a DJ. Also, Marcus not only did his DJ duties, but was able to MC as well for us. We weren't looking for an over the top MC - like the ones who do too much on the dance floor. Instead we were looking for someone who was able to make the proper announcements and also keep the hype up, which Marcus was great at!
The whole process of working with Marcus was extremely painless and wonderful. He was very fast with answering emails and addressed any questions we had. We had 2 meetings - 1 initial introduction meeting, which immediately after I knew he was the DJ for us, and a 2nd meeting a few weeks before our big day to discuss details. Marcus provides a worksheet for the couple to fill out with Wedding party details, music picks, etc. It was very detailed and during the 2nd meeting, we discussed it in detail so he is able to ensure that your day goes well. He also above and beyond to contact the venue for our wedding as I believe it was his first time working at our venue. He wanted to make sure that he would be able to set up properly for cocktail hour and reception, and he did so without me having to be involved at all (all I needed to provide was the contact information). Marcus was also able to work on the fly with accommodate a last minute change we had to our wedding and it went off without a hitch. I had emailed him the evening before with the change and on the day, he was 100% able to make sure it was taken care of.
Marcus is not one of those DJs where you give him a list of must plays and he takes them as suggestions. He does his best to play everything that you want played at your wedding. We had so many requests that I was worried not everything was going to be played, but after our 2nd meeting, he ensured us that we could even provide a few more songs, which was fantastic! Right before our wedding, he provided his mix of songs he was going to play for our guest arrival and cocktail hour. All the songs he picked fit the vibe that we were going for. On our wedding day, he played all the songs plus some more that went perfectly along with the songs we requested. He read the room and knew what our guests would love dancing to. We had a ton of fun, and our guests seemed to have as well - all thanks to Marcus immaculately curating the vibes.
DJ Marcus Ho was such a wonderful person to work with and we were extremely glad to have chosen him to DJ/MC our once in a lifetime day. You should definitely use him for your wedding!
PS - One additional detail I did not want to leave out, as it may be important for some people looking for wedding DJ/MCs - initially, we had thought about having a bi-lingual Chinese/English MC and Marcus was able to provide some names he worked with. Ultimately, we did not go with that option, but having the connection was extremely helpful.Marcus Ho's reply:

Where do I begin! From the moment we first met with Marcus, we knew he was the DJ for us. He is so charismatic and easy to talk to. He respected our vision and gave helpful suggestions when we didn’t quite know how we wanted things to go (how does anyone know what they’re doing when planning their first wedding?!). The music was flawlessly executed from guest arrival to the final song of the reception. I can’t tell you how many people commented on the music! The dance floor was packed all night long, so much so that we had late night dessert and I think much of it went uneaten because everyone was having too much fun to leave the dance floor lol. We had a few “unique” moments of our wedding and Marcus not only supported our crazy ideas but implemented them perfectly. We were so lucky to have Marcus as our DJ for our wedding! He is flexible, responsive, professional, and talented... we could not have found someone that was more perfect for us. Marcus took the time to get to know us and he easily understood what we were looking for. He suggested a few songs for the mom and son dance, and the song we ended choosing off the list was perfect. The worksheet and meetings were incredibly thorough and helpful in guiding us through the planning. We even had the honor of meeting his cat over zoom! When we discovered a small issue during the planning process completely unrelated to the music, Marcus offered to help even though it was above and beyond what he signed up for. He is truly kind. Marcus truly livens up the party; from the minute our guests hit the dance floor, he had them hooked. Marcus is a master at reading the room and handles himself well, accepting necessary requests and ignoring those that he knew weren’t what we wanted to hear. Marcus arrived early and worked closely with other vendors to ensure his set up was what he needed to succeed. His vast knowledge of music allowed him to seamlessly transition from genre to genre, pleasing the entire crowd.
Throughout the entire wedding planning process, Marcus demonstrated exceptional professionalism. He quickly responded to any email, made himself available when we wanted to chat on the phone, was flexible when things changed, and most importantly, respected and understood the vision that we had for our reception. The initial worksheet that we prepared with him created the template, but it was his attention to detail that allowed us to have full confidence on the wedding day that it would be exactly what we wanted.

We hired Marcus as our DJ for our wedding just this past May. From beginning to end, he was responsive and collaborative when it came to creating a playlist for every moment of our big day. We even requested a couple of Vietnamese and Italian pop songs and he came through! He also, unlike some DJs, will put in the time to mix the songs together for smooth transitions as opposed to just playing songs off of Spotify, while being adaptive by expertly reading the crowd's energy. Marcus DJed and emceed our NYE wedding on 12/31/2022. We set out to give our guests a stress free, fantastic NYE wedding and dance party, and he was such a key person to making that happen.
He acted as emcee for the entire night, and spent time with us and our wedding planners beforehand to plan out different moments (e.g. first dance, couple introduction, midnight toast) so each was executed exactly as dreamed. Marcus made our wedding so much better with his presence.
My partner and I said to each other more than once that we were so grateful for him. Beyond the emceeing, he meticulously crafted a set list for the most incredible and memorable dance party. I was so impressed by the depth of his musical knowledge! My guests, partner, and I danced the entire set list, and were overjoyed to hear specific song requests we had seamlessly mixed into the overall disco / pop / dance vibe we wanted. Many of my friends love to dance and I haven't seen them bust out their moves in ages. I hugged so many loved ones who thanked me for giving them this night, saying that they were having the best time.
There are so many moments of the night I'll never forget, and it was such a hit in no small part because of Marcus' involvement. I cannot recommend him highly enough as a DJ, emcee, and planning partner. He went above and beyond to make sure that my partner, my family, my guests were all comfortable and that the event was a success. What's more to say? Best night ever, best DJ ever. Marcus was amazing. From the initial conversation to the final conversation he was personable and professional all throughout. We forgot to do our homework and didn't fill out our music sheet until about a week before the wedding. Regardless he was able to put together one hell of a dance party keeping things alive all throughout the night. His attention to detail was fantastic and all in all just a wonderful person to work with. I highly recommend.

incredible and intuitive!
Marcus did such amazing work for our big day! The flow of the evening from top to bottom was sheer perfection and we could not have been happier with how it all went. Wedding in Brooklyn
Marcus did our wedding over the summer! We had to postpone due to the pandemic and Marcus was so understanding throughout such a difficult time. He stayed with us from the beginning of our wedding planning through tour postponement, all the way to our new wedding date.
From start to finish he went over ever detail from ceremony, cocktail and reception music. His love for music and knowledge on a variety of genres helped us greatly when it came to picking music for every moment. Marcus gave our guests a variety to dance to and they were up on the dance floor all night. We appreciate his attention to detail and making our vision of our wedding come true! Marcus DJ'd my wedding this month, and I can not say enough good things about my experience working with him. During our initial conversations, he was a super diligent listener and made sure to ask a lot of questions to make sure he got a feel for what we wanted out of the evening. He was also super prompt in his replies when we had questions or concerns throughout the planning process. His music worksheet was also really helpful in terms of helping us to nail down the exact vibe that we wanted on the big day. And then, the MAGIC happened! On the day, Marcus was punctual and came fully prepared with everything he needed for setup. He also dressed for the night in a very sharp suit that was perfectly fit for the occasion. He curated the music for the evening absolutely perfectly — we literally could not keep people off of the dance floor. Folks were coming up to us all night to ask for his information because they were so impressed by how well he curated the vibes. The real kicker was that in my father's speech he mentioned that he and I used to sing Rod Stewart's "Maggie May" together in the car. I, of course, did not know this would be mentioned, but right as the speech ended Marcus had Maggie May queued up and played right into the chorus. Marcus did a fantastic job as the DJ for our wedding! From our initial consultation with him, we knew that he would be sensitive to our musical tastes, while still able to add his distinctive, professional touch. And we found his rates *very* reasonable for someone with so much experience.
Marcus was proactive in communicating with us in the weeks leading up to the event, making sure that all our bases were covered. He gave us one less thing to worry about while we stressed over other aspects of wedding planning.
On the day of, things went just as well. We ended up with many tracks on both our set list and our do-not-play list, and Marcus accommodated them all seamlessly. Our guests loved Marcus's work—and it showed on the dance floor. Everything else—toasts, cake-cutting, etc.—went seamlessly, too. Marcus even helped make sure our ceremony audio worked, though we hadn't hired him to handle that.

My fiancé Josh and I had hired Marcus to be the DJ for our wedding next April. From our first meeting, we knew he was the perfect fit - extremely down to earth, knowledgeable, and personable. He is charismatic without being cheesy or over-the-top, and he really understood exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately, due to a glitch in the booking system (a tech issue that wasn't his fault) it turned out that he had already committed to another wedding on the same date. Even though there was still a year until our wedding date when this happened, he truly bent over backwards to personally make sure we found a great replacement. He recommended a colleague of his who he thought would be a good fit based on everything he knew about what we were looking for and even worked with him to make sure we would still be paying the same rate we had originally agreed upon. Marcus wasn't just a DJ - he seamlessly went from sound coordinator to emcee to DJ without missing a beat. He was almost constantly in motion and had complete command of anything sound-related. I didn't even realize he was down at the outdoor ceremony with us until I saw him in a photo!
His mixing was on point, his music choices were great, and I love that Marcus was able to mix in some of our requests while keeping things moving. I've never seen my son dance, and he danced all. Night. Long. My daughter said it was the "best night of her life."

Marcus was an incredible DJ for us. We were looking for a low-key wedding with about 60-70 people. Marcus offered to call us initially to discuss details and was very transparent in what his style what & his pricing. During the phone call, we got the sense that he was extremely amicable & easy to work with, which was exactly what we were looking for. He was able to accommodate a broad range of music genres but we were looking primarily for hip-hop & RnB which he was very comfortable playing. He also let us visit him at his usual function to get a general vibe, which was really helpful! During the planning stages, Marcus was thorough and detail oriented, and had us fill out a worksheet with exactly what we wanted. On the day of, Marcus arrived at the venue early in advance and coordinated with photo/video/DoC/officiant on exactly what the cues were, and as we had our wedding, the musical cues & transitions were perfect! He was definitely not a "hype-man" by any means and suited our low-key vibe. One aspect that we appreciated was that Marcus took the time to personally speak to our wedding party & give them a heads up before they gave their speeches which definitely eased their nerves. Throughout our wedding, he was in communication with us constantly. We provided a few must-play songs which were all played & otherwise provided him with a list of favorite artists and we noticed that he played all of their hits throughout the wedding! We had an absolute blast working with Marcus for our wedding. Originally we had booked a different DJ, but due to COVID, he was not available for our new date. He suggested Marcus as he was a good friend. From our very first conversation with Marcus we knew he would be a great fit for us! He was great with communicating leading up to the day. We filled out a really detailed music list and then went over everything prior. Marcus had tons of suggestions and recommendations for the timeline, music and the day in general! The dance floor was packed our whole wedding. Marcus played all the music we wanted and kept everyone engaged. He was also such a genuinely nice person to be around! We were happy with all of our vendors, but Marcus was by far our favorite. From the start, he was incredibly easy to work with and super organized, with absolutely everything we needed to know laid out for us. He also clearly takes the time to prepare a truly personalized music selection: I told him in one of our meetings that I mainly listen to kpop and he said he wasn't too familiar with the genre - yet you never would have guessed it from how he managed to perfectly include some of my favorite songs. He put together a fantastic selection of music that managed to mix crowd pleasers with our favorites and he knew exactly how to add in our favorite songs without turning off people that weren't familiar with them. Marcus was able to keep everyone dancing all night, even people that we know usually don't dance at weddings. I had several guests tell me that our DJ was on point, and the biggest complaint we've heard from our wedding guests was that they were too busy dancing to eat any cake. Marcus was a breeze to work with. He makes the process really easy, whether you have a certain playlist in mind or are in dire need of guidance. There's also an enthusiasm to the way he works which is contagious -- you can really sense how passionate he is about his craft. We were very specific with the songs and atmosphere we'd like to hit, and Marcus really brought our ideas to life. We had to postpone our wedding at The Green Building a couple of times so we really appreciated his responsiveness and flexibility throughout the ordeal. He was electric on the day-of. Despite our guestlist being on the smaller side (about 50), the energy was consistently elevated and the dance floor was popping throughout the night -- all thanks to Marcus. He's also an exceptional MC, really taking the time to make sure we've covered all our bases. Thoughtful, organized, and attentive
We had a wedding in Brooklyn in August of 2021 and hired Marcus to DJ. In the beginning of planning we did not really know what to expect from a DJ, but as the wedding drew nearer we became more and more impressed with the way that Marcus communicated with us and prepared for the day. Although he had some of his own ideas of what to play during the different stages of the event, he always sought input from us as to our music tastes and different songs we would like to include in the different sections and he put in a lot of effort into making sure the music fit our personalities. During the event, he was well prepared and we even got many compliments on the music selection from our guests. Because we had many guests from Finland, Marcus even included many Finnish songs which really got our Finnish guests on the dance floor. Marcus was also very adaptable, even helping us to play an unexpected video gift from some of our guests. In general, it was a very good experience and I would highly recommend Marcus to anyone looking for a great DJ for their wedding. -

Choosing Marcus as our DJ was one of the best choices that we made for our wedding day. We were a couple that was affected by a constant, confusing stream of scheduling and rescheduling our wedding day due to COVID. Marcus stuck with us through the ups and downs of it all, and was quick to respond to all of our scheduling adjustment emails. But if you're reading this review, let's hope that you'll never have to see how amazing Marcus is with flexibility in the rescheduling of your wedding! Let's talk about how Marcus made our actual wedding day amazing.
1. A lead up walk through with us and our venue, to ensure that there will be no surprises of tech issues on the wedding day.
2. Gave us total freedom of the music to play (I am a music control freak, and wanted big dancing music all night) played literally everything we asked him to, but supplemented with music that he knew would flow seamlessly throughout the night.
3. Plays the majority of each song! Not just quick clips, or transitions to the next song too quickly. This was nice because I feel like most wedding DJs are switching songs every 30 seconds, which feels too rushed.
4. Made sure that he was saying everyones name in the bridal party correctly (we had a lot of tough names), and you could tell that he genuinely cared about getting it right.
5. Truly was a guide for us to curate our own night. When my husband and I had a hard time describing what kind of cocktail hour vibe we were going for, he was able to ask us all the right questions to nail down what we wanted.
Marcus Ho was the perfect addition to our wedding team, and we could not have asked for a more personalized professional and, overwhelmingly, FUN experience with him! Our guests had the best time because of Marcus.

We hired Marcus as our wedding DJ over a year ago after reviewing and researching many candidates and we are happy we did! If you’re looking for a fun, professional, friendly, talented, detail-oriented career DJ (who’s not over the top, bar mitzvah style), Marcus is the man for you.
Marcus was beyond patient during the many changes to our wedding plans (thank you, COVID19), and always responded to our exasperated emails with support and calmness. When our wedding venue changed, he said no problem! When dance floors were outlawed in NJ, he said no problem! When we asked him to set up a sound system in a field for the ceremony, he said no problem! When our timeline got a little messed up on the night of our wedding, he said no problem! Hopefully you are getting the point that Marcus will go above and beyond for you and your fiancé, in whatever way you need him to, with a smile, to bring you the night of your dreams! And I haven’t even gotten to his music taste yet! Marcus was great in that he let us pick the majority of our music for the evening, while still injecting great selections and fan favorites to get the party moving.
