  Amazing DJ!!

  Holy wow! Where do we begin? Most importantly, if you're reading this and deciding on a DJ, you're probably most interested in the music. Let us be the first to tell you that Marcus put together a phenomenal and FUN playlist for us and our guests to enjoy at our wedding. From the start, Marcus was collaborative with us on the types of songs we enjoyed, wanted played at our wedding, and the vibe we wanted. At our wedding, his entire setlist flowed so well that by the very last song everyone was left wondering how time had flown by so quickly - the true mark of a great time. If you're here and only care about the type of music Marcus will provide, rest assured... Marcus was the best DJ we've run into at a wedding. Period. My wife and I just so happened to be lucky enough to have had him play at our own wedding.
  
  However, I think the best way to describe Marcus, and the type service he'll provide, is by telling you about our wedding. My wife and I had contracted Marcus for our reception (dinner + dancing). We had hired a set of acoustic musicians to play for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Despite needing him from 8pm and onwards, Marcus came hours earlier to set up. He offered our officiant and other musicians additional microphones in case they needed them. After our ceremony, our acoustic musicians had to move locations to play for our cocktail hour. Without any instruction, Marcus took it upon himself to play music for our guests while the other musicians set up. Talk about really going above and beyond and stepping up in small ways that truly help make a wedding. During dinner, Marcus played the perfect music that helped set the mood and allowed for pleasant eating and conversation. He brought wireless microphones for our bridal party speeches and was amazingly adept at reading the room as to when the appropriate time was to stop the music and allow our speakers to speak. He was incredibly prepared and communicative with us (both before and during the wedding) and never imposed himself... as we all know some pesky DJs do on the big day. He was completely in tune with our timeline and flawlessly segwayed from dinner to our first dance to partying. On multiple occasions, family and friends stopped my wife and I just to gush about how much fun they were having and how they loved Marcus and his music. He was truly one of the best people we have EVER worked with.
  
  Tl;dr - Marcus is amazing at his craft and will absolutely rock your wedding! He's incredibly conscientious of your needs. Prepared beyond belief. Highly respectful and an amazing human being. And an absolute pleasure to work with. HIRE. THIS. MAN. Your guests will thank you for it after! :)

  Totally blown away!

  DJ Marcus was amazing from the very first phone call to the big day. Marcus was thoughtful, caring, organized, and fun. We were so impressed by the level of organization with which he approached creating the right musical environment. He was purposeful in understanding our tastes and preferences, as well as him wanting to understand the whole day so he could hit all the right notes, so to speak. As with many weddings, we had a musically diverse crowd that spanned generations, styles, cultures, etc. and yet everyone kept coming up to us and commenting how the DJ was absolutely incredible. Many were also impressed with his technology and hardware that were sleek-looking and had great sound. There was not a dull moment throughout the night thanks to Marcus. We cannot recommend him enough and know you will enjoy working with him as much as we did.

  A true pro!

  Marcus was a true professional from start to finish. He was organized, prompt with communication, and very knowledgable. During the reception he was able to quickly adapt according to our guests’ energy and diverse tastes, and even revived the dance floor a few times. I wish I had a photo of him during the event, he even tailored his setup to the aesthetic of the venue and it looked perfect!
  
  In the days following our wedding, multiple guests have commented on how wonderful and skilled he was. We would 100% hire Marcus again, and recommend him to anyone!

  Marcus was a true professional from start to finish. He was organized, prompt with communication, and very knowledgable.   DJ Marcus Ho Was Amazing!

  DJ Marcus Ho is the best DJ and one of the best (if not the best) vendor we worked with for our wedding. He was extremely professional, communicative, and played fantastic music. He answered me same day when I had initially started reaching out for DJs and his initial email had a good amount of information I needed, including cost, packages, and other details you are looking for with a DJ. Also, Marcus not only did his DJ duties, but was able to MC as well for us. We weren't looking for an over the top MC - like the ones who do too much on the dance floor. Instead we were looking for someone who was able to make the proper announcements and also keep the hype up, which Marcus was great at!
  
  The whole process of working with Marcus was extremely painless and wonderful. He was very fast with answering emails and addressed any questions we had. We had 2 meetings - 1 initial introduction meeting, which immediately after I knew he was the DJ for us, and a 2nd meeting a few weeks before our big day to discuss details. Marcus provides a worksheet for the couple to fill out with Wedding party details, music picks, etc. It was very detailed and during the 2nd meeting, we discussed it in detail so he is able to ensure that your day goes well. He also above and beyond to contact the venue for our wedding as I believe it was his first time working at our venue. He wanted to make sure that he would be able to set up properly for cocktail hour and reception, and he did so without me having to be involved at all (all I needed to provide was the contact information). Marcus was also able to work on the fly with accommodate a last minute change we had to our wedding and it went off without a hitch. I had emailed him the evening before with the change and on the day, he was 100% able to make sure it was taken care of.
  
  Marcus is not one of those DJs where you give him a list of must plays and he takes them as suggestions. He does his best to play everything that you want played at your wedding. We had so many requests that I was worried not everything was going to be played, but after our 2nd meeting, he ensured us that we could even provide a few more songs, which was fantastic! Right before our wedding, he provided his mix of songs he was going to play for our guest arrival and cocktail hour. All the songs he picked fit the vibe that we were going for. On our wedding day, he played all the songs plus some more that went perfectly along with the songs we requested. He read the room and knew what our guests would love dancing to. We had a ton of fun, and our guests seemed to have as well - all thanks to Marcus immaculately curating the vibes.
  
  DJ Marcus Ho was such a wonderful person to work with and we were extremely glad to have chosen him to DJ/MC our once in a lifetime day. You should definitely use him for your wedding!
  
  PS - One additional detail I did not want to leave out, as it may be important for some people looking for wedding DJ/MCs - initially, we had thought about having a bi-lingual Chinese/English MC and Marcus was able to provide some names he worked with. Ultimately, we did not go with that option, but having the connection was extremely helpful.

  Flawless wedding music

He respected our vision and gave helpful suggestions when we didn’t quite know how we wanted things to go (how does anyone know what they’re doing when planning their first wedding?!). The music was flawlessly executed from guest arrival to the final song of the reception. I can’t tell you how many people commented on the music! The dance floor was packed all night long, so much so that we had late night dessert and I think much of it went uneaten because everyone was having too much fun to leave the dance floor lol. We had a few “unique” moments of our wedding and Marcus not only supported our crazy ideas but implemented them perfectly. Thank you Marcus for making our best day ever unforgettable!

  Incredible DJ!!

  Marcus did a fantastic job DJing our wedding. He was able to seamlessly meld music from different cultures, eras, and genres which kept the dance floor lively the whole night. During the work up to the wedding he was so helpful and had great ideas—he helped us think through and navigate the different transitions in our wedding and figure out what types of music we wanted played. He also worked very well with our band, providing equipment they needed and helping them set up. He is such a pleasure to work with, a true professional, and is a genuinely wonderful person—if you are looking for a DJ you should look no further!!

  Best DJ for our NYC wedding

  We hired Marcus Ho to DJ our wedding in NYC and we could not have been more pleased with our experience! From the moment I initially reached out, Marcus has always been quick to respond, answer our questions, and reassure us all is taken care of. He met with us a couple times before the wedding to really understand our vision, our taste in music, the itinerary for the day, etc. He did not leave a single detail uncovered. The day of the wedding, we immediately knew we made the right decision trusting Marcus with entertaining our guests. The music was fantastic, the sound was great, he paid attention to our request of playing some Persian music sets for my husband's family. Guests just raved about our DJ. Thank you Marcus!!

  Best dj ever

  Could not recommend DJ Marcus Ho more highly! He had everyone dancing at our wedding, from my 2 year old cousin to my 92 year old grandma! Everyone had such a blast--he seamlessly played music that appealed to all generations and kept the energy so high all night. And, of course, was a pleasure to work with. Could not recommend more highly!

  Amazing DJ, best part of wedding planning

  We were so lucky to have Marcus as our DJ for our wedding! He is flexible, responsive, professional, and talented... we could not have found someone that was more perfect for us. Marcus took the time to get to know us and he easily understood what we were looking for. He suggested a few songs for the mom and son dance, and the song we ended choosing off the list was perfect. The worksheet and meetings were incredibly thorough and helpful in guiding us through the planning. We even had the honor of meeting his cat over zoom! When we discovered a small issue during the planning process completely unrelated to the music, Marcus offered to help even though it was above and beyond what he signed up for. He is truly kind. Our guests had an absolute blast on the dance floor on the day of the wedding. Lastly, we also rented our photobooth from him and we love the photos that we got to look at right after. We would 100% recommend Marcus and hope we get to stay friends. Thank you so so much for being a part of our day!

  We were so lucky to have Marcus as our DJ for our wedding! He is flexible, responsive, professional, and talented... we could not have found someone that was more perfect for us. Marcus took the time to get to know us and he easily understood what we were looking for. He suggested a few songs for the mom and son dance, and the song we ended choosing off the list was perfect. The worksheet and meetings were incredibly thorough and helpful in guiding us through the planning. We even had the honor of meeting his cat over zoom! When we discovered a small issue during the planning process completely unrelated to the music, Marcus offered to help even though it was above and beyond what he signed up for. He is truly kind. Our guests had an absolute blast on the dance floor on the day of the wedding. Lastly, we also rented our photobooth from him and we love the photos that we got to look at right after. We would 100% recommend Marcus and hope we get to stay friends. Thank you so so much for being a part of our day!

  Marcus was an absolutely incredible DJ at our engagement party in Brooklyn. We had 250 people and everyone was on the dance floor. My dad even said “who needs a band? A good dj is even better” after that night. Marcus was easy to work with, communicative, affordable, and totally understood the assignment. Highly recommend!

  It was such a pleasure working with Marcus! For reference, my husband and I partnered with him for our wedding.
  
  From the moment we sent an initial inquiry to the day of our wedding, Marcus was extremely responsive and organized. He left us with a great first impression when we formally met (over Zoom! Very accommodating) but what impressed us the most was our last meeting. He asked us to fill out a wedding worksheet in preparation for the call, which asked such detailed questions about every aspect of the night, even details we did not think of i.e., song for cake cutting, song for bouquet toss, etc.
  
  When we had our last call, he reviewed every input thoroughly, provided great suggestions on how to optimize duration of songs for every special moment, and was extremely accommodating with sound/equipment. We also appreciated how considerate he was when working through introductions i.e., practiced pronouncing the names of our parents + bridal party, asked us how we wanted to be introduced, asked us how we wanted to introduce our parents for their special dances, etc.
  
  The day of our wedding, our guests were having so much fun on the dance floor, kids included! Marcus was also so great about adjusting the music to the vibe of the night. The transitions from song to song were smooth and nothing felt abrupt or out of place. Additionally, we understand that preparing music sets is an artform, but Marcus was so accommodating with any song requests that came down from our guests.
  
  We were confident in our decision with him but knew he was truly THE ONE seeing how meticulous he was at work. We also felt his sincerity seeing how excited he was to celebrate with us :) We highly recommend working with Marcus for your next major event - you will not be disappointed!

  He acted as emcee for the entire night, and spent time with us and our wedding planners beforehand to plan out different moments (e.g. first dance, couple introduction, midnight toast) so each was executed exactly as dreamed. Marcus made our wedding so much better with his presence.
  
  My partner and I said to each other more than once that we were so grateful for him. Beyond the emceeing, he meticulously crafted a set list for the most incredible and memorable dance party. I was so impressed by the depth of his musical knowledge! My guests, partner, and I danced the entire set list, and were overjoyed to hear specific song requests we had seamlessly mixed into the overall disco / pop / dance vibe we wanted. Many of my friends love to dance and I haven't seen them bust out their moves in ages. I hugged so many loved ones who thanked me for giving them this night, saying that they were having the best time.
  
  There are so many moments of the night I'll never forget, and it was such a hit in no small part because of Marcus' involvement.   DJ Marcus: Brilliant, Versatile, Effective

  Marcus is straight up brilliant. Jenn and I are lucky to see him in action while he deejays in a packed out Ulysses where he holds residency and at our wedding. He is no stranger in feeling out the crowd and serves the audience on any given night what they desire. It’s apparent in all of his social media posts. He’s really good!
  
  Marcus is versatile. Not only does he have an extensive music/service industry career, he also has his own IMDb page. Like wow! We talked to him on Zoom, phone, emails. He is a great communicator and is emotionally intelligent when doing so which doesn’t surprise us because of what we already know about his work on the dance floor. Not only does he have many skills but Marcus is also a gentleman and is thoughtful. He asks us specifically for which pronouns that we prefer to use. He doesn’t ever give you the feeling that you are taking up his time. He genuinely wants to know how he could help you make your day special.
  
  Marcus is effective. It’s apparent that he cares about his work and that he cares about us. He gives you ample time and he encourages you to communicate. The music is so on point because he has great feel and he makes sure all the time that we spent talking is carried out precisely. One would ask, how is this possible for Marcus to be such an intricate planner and provide such quality results and making it look so easy? Let us also add that for the quality of work that Marcus advertised and provided that the fee was super reasonable. Back to the question: “we DON’T know?!”
  
  We believe Marcus was put on earth for a reason to do good for his community. Jenn and I were just the immediate lucky couple to have that opportunity to have him for our wedding. He is our hero. All in all, Marcus helped us to put on hours of dance production (first dance, father/daughter, mother/son, solo, duet with lots of the crowd dancing in between) almost as though we were in a dance integrated wedding dinner or a dinner integrated dance party.   Marcus is straight up brilliant. Jenn and I are lucky to see him in action while he deejays in a packed out Ulysses where he holds residency and at our wedding. He is no stranger in feeling out the crowd and serves the audience on any given night what they desire. It’s apparent in all of his social media posts. He’s really good!
  
  Marcus is versatile. Not only does he have an extensive music/service industry career, he also has his own IMDb page. Like wow! We talked to him on Zoom, phone, emails. He is a great communicator and is emotionally intelligent when doing so which doesn’t surprise us because of what we already know about his work on the dance floor. Not only does he have many skills but Marcus is also a gentleman and is thoughtful. He asks us specifically for which pronouns that we prefer to use. He doesn’t ever give you the feeling that you are taking up his time. He genuinely wants to know how he could help you make your day special.
  
  Marcus is effective. It’s apparent that he cares about his work and that he cares about us. He gives you ample time and he encourages you to communicate. The music is so on point because he has great feel and he makes sure all the time that we spent talking is carried out precisely. One would ask, how is this possible for Marcus to be such an intricate planner and provide such quality results and making it look so easy? Let us also add that for the quality of work that Marcus advertised and provided that the fee was super reasonable. Back to the question: “we DON’T know?!”
  
  We believe Marcus was put on earth for a reason to do good for his community. Jenn and I were just the immediate lucky couple to have that opportunity to have him for our wedding. He is our hero. All in all, Marcus helped us to put on hours of dance production (first dance, father/daughter, mother/son, solo, duet with lots of the crowd dancing in between) almost as though we were in a dance integrated wedding dinner or a dinner integrated dance party.   Fantastic Experience

  Marcus is incredibly responsive and professional. From our first meeting with him, we knew he was the right fit. He was on time for all our meetings and asked questions regarding details that we definitely wouldn't have thought of. The night of he played a significant amount of the songs we chose and kept everyone on the dance floor!

  Marcus did such amazing work for our big day! The flow of the evening from top to bottom was sheer perfection and we could not have been happier with how it all went. We ESPECIALLY cannot get over the end of the evening….when he MATCHED the clapping of the whole group and gave us that one last Hall and Oats song!! That was masterful and brilliant. We cant stop talking about it! We highly recommend Marcus for an unforgettable experience!

  Organized, considerate, collaborative and flexible, Marcus was the best DJ we could have hired. The music was one one the most important things at our wedding, and Marcus made sure that the song choices (disco funk!) were spot on. Our families and friends had a blast. 100% recommend.
