Wedding Review- July 2024
My wife and I previously got married at the Marcus Performing Arts Center in late July. Upon touring the venue, we knew that it was the only choice for our special day. There are many advantages to this venue including easy ADA accessibility for guests, close proximity to the Milwaukee River for Bridal Party photos, and separate hosting spaces for the various parts of the day. Our Ceremony took place in the Fitch Gardens and was all we could have asked for. The space fit our 150 guests comfortably yet still felt very intimate which was important to us. The reception space (Bradley Pavilion) is gorgeous! It is elegant and timeless while providing a stunning view of the cityscape and river. This made for a perfect backdrop to our Head Table which we loved seeing in our photos/videos. Since our initial meeting with the venue's event planner, Marie, we were impressed with the professionalism and flexibility provided. The venue was very accommodating regarding decor, table layout, uplighting color choice, etc. Most importantly, the meal! If you have many guests with food allergies, this venue is for you. They take this very seriously and ensure that all guests have a wonderful and memorable meal. Since our wedding, we have heard nothing but rave reviews regarding the food. Hors d'oeuvres, entrees, late night food- people loved it all. My wife and I were especially impressed with the manner in which the servers present the food to the tables- it is very professional. If you are considering this venue, we highly recommend that you reach out to Marie to learn more. You will not be disappointed in the least- she truly goes above and beyond to make you feel important and valued. We are so grateful to the MPAC staff for making our wedding day dreams a reality. Highly recommend to future couples! -

Perfect Venue
The Marcus Performing Arts Center was the perfect venue to hold our event. The staff was friendly and easy to work with and the custom themed food stations we had were top notch. All of our guests had a blast. The promenade (before you enter the main ballroom) is the perfect place to host a cocktail hour and the ballroom is stunning, with its massive windows and balcony which overlooks the Milwaukee river. I highly recommend hosting your event at MPAC be it for a wedding, gala, reception etc you won't be disappointed! The possibilities are endless with making your vision come to life. -

Perfect Team for a Perfect Day
Marie and the rest of the staff at the Marcus Center of performing arts were a dream to work with. Marie is very responsive and a great resource for anyone on their special day! The staff as a whole is professional, kind, and care about making every detail perfect. -

Beautiful downtown space
The Marcus Center is a stunning downtown location for a wedding. Our daughter and her partner's outside ceremony and inside reception there was a large success due to Lynn and her staff helping with critical decisions along the way. -

Above and beyond
We want to sing praises to Lynn B. At Marcus for helping us on our wedding day and with the changes that came with it during the process. She made it the best day we could have and her service from her and the team there was awesome. -

Best Wedding Venue Ever!
We absolutely LOVED having our reception at the Marcus. We were a couple planning a wedding from out of state, luckily we did not have to re-arrange our wedding plans due to Covid. Lynn and her team was AMAZING! One challenge we faced was that Hamilton was performing the same weekend as our wedding. It was frustrating at times because the crew with Hamilton was extremely strict about following guidelines. We had to make sure to keep our wedding guests separate from the theater guests. Anyways, the reception turned out beautifully, the lights and the room lit up. We rented gold chivari chairs, through Lynn, and they really made the space look classy. We choose buffet style, but our guests got through the lines quickly and efficiently. We received SO many compliments on our delicious the food was. One thing we really liked about this venue was there were space for guests to also step outside. Beautiful photo opportunities inside and outside. Thank you so much for giving us a great experience! If we could do it all over again, we would choose our reception at the Marcus, 100%. -

Fantastic experience!
We had our reception at the Marcus Center in July 2021 - a place that has a unique meaning in our relationship together and with our families, so we knew right away we wanted to have our big day there! Though we were not re-scheduling from 2020, there were still many unknowns while trying to plan a covid-era wedding. Lynn from Sazama's was incredibly helpful every step of the way! Her coordination during planning and communication with us on our actual day made everyone go perfectly. There were a few changes to the package that we picked out originally due to covid, and Lynn was really helpful in making even swaps with the new choices that didn't add on extra costs. Another great thing about this venue is that they have a lot of experience, so many other vendors have done weddings there before and know how to set things up and coordinate with them. This eases the burden a lot!
The food is outstanding! Everyone raved about it and we loved it too. The outdoor space was such a nice thing to have too. We had 135 guests and it felt full enough, but not too full in the ballroom, atrium, and outdoor space. The waitstaff was great - I appreciated that they wore masks, and they were very well coordinated with serving tables.
Two of my favorite 'extras' that we did for our reception included renting the piano for cocktail hour and having two signature cocktails, both of which were amazing! Highly recommend.
The only thing I would do differently is rent different chairs/chair covers. I didn't think it would be worth the cost, but the chairs that come with the space ended up not looking great in photos (though they are padded, so probably more comfortable than wooden rented chairs!) 10/10 recommend having your reception at the Marcus Center! -

Best Day Ever...Thanks to the PAC!
I cannot express enough as to how wonderful our wedding was at the Performing Arts Center! Lynn and the PAC team are timely, efficient, and patient. Being a COVID-19 couple, we had to switch our day from April to October. They changed everything around in less than 24 hours without any issues. The food is absolutely fabulous. If you can swing it, get a signature drink! Our guests were thrilled with the space. Also, working with Lynn was such a joy. She is kind and an expert at her job. Thank you to Lynn & the PAC team for making our wedding day the best day of our lives!! -

Beautiful venue & wonderful coordinator
The Marcus Center exceeded our expectations it was a gorgeous venue. Everything was perfect, ladies were able to get ready on site in a spacious area, ceremony in the atrium, cocktail hour in the promenade, and reception in the bradley pavilion. This was a huge selling point for us. The catering was also phenomenal. Their food selection was amazing, as was the actual food. Lastly, our wonderful coordinator Karin! She was absolutely amazing and incredible to work with. She was quick to respond and answer any questions. She was incredibly accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. Karin put us at ease for our wedding, and made it as easy and stress free as possible. She was there from the beginning planning stages to fluffing my train as I walked down the aisle. We highly recommend the venue and more importantly Karin and Sazama's catering! -

Easy to work with, thoughtful
My fiancé and I fell in love with the Marcus Center at first sight. The dreamy ballroom pavilion paired with the balcony overlooking downtown and the Fitch garden patio was everything we hoped for in a wedding venue. What really sealed the deal was having Sazama's as our caterer and learning that we could have the infamous Saz's festival platter as a late night snack.
Being a covid bride has not been easy, but Karin with the Marcus Center has done everything to keep the wedding planning process stress-free. She has been so flexible throughout the last two years, including when we decided to move our wedding from August 2020 to July 2021. Even now when our plans are still a little up in the air with summer quickly approaching, she is so willing to roll with it and let us decide exactly how to proceed. Karin with the Marcus Center has been a dream to work with. I have no doubt that it will be worth the wait when we can finally have our big day there. -

So flexible, so kind!
Like many couples this year, my fiance and I made the decision to push back our wedding due to COVID-19. But unlike several horror stories I've heard this summer, it was a breeze to do so -- and that's because of Karin and everyone at the Marcus Center/Sazama's! When I reached out to Karin in June about our December 2020 wedding, I thought she'd think I was crazy for wanting to reschedule six months out or tell us we needed to wait and see how things progressed. Instead, Karin called back right away to let us know every option was on the table and the ball was in our court. The flexibility was great, but it was Karin's kind, thoughtful and sincere demeanor throughout the entire process that really blew me away. We are SO looking forward to our December 2021 wedding at the Marcus Center! -

So Awesome!
We had a wedding booked with Sazama’s at the MPAC and unfortunately, Coronavirus changed our plans. Lynn and the team at Sazama’s reached out immediately and offered other opportunities to ensure our special day could still happen. Cool and calm during the storm!
I am a corona-bride and I had to change my wedding date from June 2020 to June 2021. It was a stressful time while I was deciding how to go about my dream wedding and the possibility of moving it. Before I even knew which way was up, Lynn with the Marcus Center reached out to me to make sure my family and I are okay and if there was anything she should do to help. I worked with Lynn to find another date in 2021 once I realized that was what I wanted to do. I cannot say enough about how lucky I am to have picked Marcus Center as my venue. Flexible, caring, and worry free staff in a gorgeous space!
We were first drawn to the Marcus Performing Arts Center from the beauty of the ballroom, but quickly signed on the dotted line after just one meeting with Karin, who quickly instilled confidence that her and the team at Sazama’s Fine Catering could over-deliver on all our requests. Karin and the team were professional and flexible throughout the whole planning process, customizing nearly everything to our needs while being a creative resource to bounce ideas off of and proactive to ask all the right questions. All coordination was quick, timely, easy, and extremely pleasant.
Day of, Karin and the team were very attentive to all our needs, effortlessly liaising between vendors and watching out for our needs first as bride and groom. Above and beyond is an understatement when it came to the day-of detail of the space. I never had to worry about how the venue would be set up as I could trust her taste and professionalism to ensure it looked beautiful. All the events they do make them so solid in what they do, yet they still make you feel like you are the only client they have.
The flexibility, dependability, and care of the most important wedding vendor (venue and F&B) is what truly made the Marcus Performing Arts Center and Sazama’s Fine Catering such an asset to our special day. You will be so impressed as you move forward with them on yours as well!

Great space and amazing food
You can't beat the stunning views from the balcony, the cute little garden for cocktail hour and the stunning ballroom. The space really has a lot to offer. Lynn was really great in helping us with all of the details and questions we had. Lynn and her crew truly outdid themselves for our Wedding. We wanted to do stations and Lynn suggested doing them based off of our favorite restaurants. It was a huge hit and everyone couldn't stop talking about how amazing the food was.-

Absolutely Stunning
Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful. We had our ceremony in the Fitch Garden, which turned out absolutely beautiful, with the ivy backdrop. The flow from the ceremony to the cocktail hour in the promenade, and then to the reception in the ballroom was perfect. Our guests all complimented the food, and the service. We worked directly with Lynn and she was so helpful, and responsive to emails and calls. Lynn was able to help us customize our food and beverage package to fit within our budget. I highly recommend the venue, and Sazama’s for catering, we had the best experience.-

So Amazing !
The service and venue were absolutely amazing at the PAC. We were able to simply drop off decor and Lynn set it all up beautifully for us. The room is very traditional, open, and doesn’t need much added decor. Food was great as well. No complaints here. Thank you all so much for an amazing evening. -

Beautiful and Professional
The venue was gorgeous, especially at night. The atmosphere was so sophisticated and everything was clean and beautiful. The ceiling I was worried would take away from the evening but it added even more than I could've imagined. The service was phenomenal and Lynn was AMAZING to work with. She was always so responsive and accommodating to my constant emails. I would 10/10 recommend this venue.
Only issue we had was they ran out of steaks for our guests and the late night snack was pulled from the floor early. -

Perfect Venue for a medium size wedding
Karin was the best part of our experience with the Marcus. She helped coordinate, talk us through questions, work out so many details that I'm sure were not part of her job description. Her efforts, along with the staff at the Marcus were nothing short of incredible. We were so pleased with our August wedding there! Highly reccomend them! -

Booking The Marcus Center and Sazama's for our wedding was the best decision we have ever made; we will never forget our experience with them. It was truly unbelievable. We had SO many guests tell us they were left speechless and they had never seen anything like it. From day one, Lynn had gone above and beyond to ensure everything would go smoothly and would be exactly the way we wanted. The venue is stunning-from the Bradley Pavilion to having two other unique spaces for use; the Fitch Gardens and the private balcony overlooking the river. The service was like none other I have ever experienced at a wedding before (and I've been to A LOT of weddings) I couldn't believe how quickly they were able to serve a 5 course meal. The chef even allowed me to design the menu, and her interpretations on the dishes were beyond delicious. Our guests were absolutely blown away with the food. I cannot emphasize it enough that booking this venue will be the best decision you would ever make. I have some pretty high standards and the PAC and Sazama's team beyond exceeded them. Thank you again for allowing us to have our dream wedding! It would've never have been nearly the same elsewhere! -

We had the pleasure of working with Keith to coordinate our big day. He was always incredibly responsive and quick to make many helpful suggestions that really helped bring everything together smoothly and make sure every detail of our grand vision came out like a fairy tale.
The food needs no praise, anyone from Milwaukee knows Saz's is top notch. The dinner menu choices were phenomenal, and everyone loved the late night signature Saz's sampler platter.
The entire staff went above and beyond and made the whole experience fun instead of stressful, and really allowed us to enjoy the big day. Several of our guests commented on the extra classy touches, like having the wait staff surround each table before plating everyone simultaneously.
If we ever have a need to serve 150 of our closest friends dinner again, we'll definitely call Saz's !

We got married in the Fitch garden, had cocktail hour in the Promenade, and reception in the Bradley Pavilion. The ceremony space was beautiful and we managed to fit 220 guests. They let us rent a grand piano that my cousin played during cocktail hour. The reception was spacious with a dance floor that didn't require moving tables and chairs. Our guests loved the view of the river from the back balcony. The staff was amazingly helpful and attentive. It was also great to find a lot of vendors that have experience working at this venue. We would highly recommend the Marcus Center along with Sazama's for weddings! -

I cannot recommend a place more highly than the Sazama's team at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. Everything about the process was stress-free and professional. It was clear that they had years of experience and dedicated staff. We did not have a wedding planner and we had a 230+ person wedding. Lynn with Sazama's made sure every detail was thought of and attended to. She was kind and flexible and had a calming way about her. Planning a wedding can be stressful, so to work with people who are calm and know what they are doing is a huge help. She did so many extra steps for us, like coordinating place covers and setting up our decorations. Their pricing was fair and transparent, and they were easy to work with when customizing packages.
Beyond the process, the day itself was perfect! I had guests say their steak was one of the best they've had- not just at a wedding but overall! The passed food during cocktail hour was delicious and the staff was great. Not one detail was missed. Somehow Lynn or the manager was always near by when I had a question and they were awesome at keeping things on time. They even brought cocktails to us from the bar so we wouldn't have to get up during dinner. The venue was so elegant yet the two outdoor spaces allowed us to have corn hole and giant jenga during the cocktail hour and cigars during the band break. We had a fantastic plated dinner and Saz's casual late night food later. They really had it all! The views of the sunset on river are so stunning and the long room meant tables were only two rows deep in front of our head table, so even though it was a large wedding, it felt personal.
You could really tell they took pride in their work and truly wanted your day to be perfect - and ours was. I would give them 100 stars and recommend them again and again.-

We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Marcus Center and working with Sazama's! Lynn was our main point of contact throughout the process and she could not have made it any easier. She responded to all our questions in a timely manner and was able to meet when I requested to discuss things further. She made the entire process so easy and stress free. The weeks leading up to our wedding could have been absolutely crazy but I felt confident that everything was being handled and orchestrated the way that I wanted. All of our vendors had worked with Sazama's at the Marcus Center before which made everything much easier. I did not have to worry about any day of coordination because it was all handled by Lynn and the rest of the Sazama's team. All of the service was extremely professional and well organized. Our ceremony was in the Fitch Gardens. Many of our guests commented that it was the most beautiful wedding ceremony they had ever attended! It was a beautiful location and we were so happy that the weather ended up cooperating! The Bradley Pavilion also exceeded our expectations for a reception space. Although a very large space, our 160 guests did not seem swallowed up by the room. Now the most important part.. the food! Literally everyone was talking about how tasty all of the food was all night. Guests are still raving about it weeks later! From the tasting to the night of, every single dish exceeded our expectations! I cannot say enough about how delicious our meal was. With food being the number one thing people remember about a wedding, you cannot go wrong with Sazama's! I highly recommend Sazama's and the Marcus Center to everyone! -

Our September wedding at the Marcus Center could not have been more perfect. Through every step of the planning process, from the first time we met with Keith more than a year before our date, all the way through the end of our wedding night, we were so thrilled with the Sazama's team. Keith and his team take care to make sure your every need (and want!) is met throughout the planning process and on the day-of. As for the venue itself - you can't ask for much more! The location in the heart of downtown is absolutely perfect, and proximity to hotels (the InterContinental is across the street) is perfect for out of town guests and the wedding party. The ballroom is dramatic and gorgeous, with unique lighting and beautiful downtown and river views. The outdoor balcony overlooking the river is a nice touch for getting some fresh air during the night, and being in the heart of downtown allows for some awesome city photos. The ballroom is large enough to hold close to 500 guests, but our 225 guest wedding did not feel like it was swallowed up by the space. We had our ceremony in the atrium overlooking Water Street, which is managed by the Marcus Center (different than Sazama's, but made to be a seamless experience). Having everything contained to one building (including cocktail hour in the Fitch Garden - a beautiful outdoor courtyard on the property) was key for us and made logistics a breeze. If you work with local vendors, most of them will have worked with Sazama's and the team at the Marcus Center. We hardly had to worry about any day-of coordination, as Keith and his team had things down to a science with getting equipment, cake, etc. into the venue and getting the room set up. We even had the benefit of coming in the night before to begin setting some details up - avoiding that last-minute/day-of rush was so nice. I'm out of space for this review - but the food was also amazing. We would recommend the Marcus Center/Sazama's to anybody planning a downtown wedding!-

ABSOLUTEY INCREDIBLE!! Lynn, Keith, and Karin are a dream team come true for wedding couples everywhere. I e-mailed Lynn inquiring about coming to see the venue and she was so responsive and continued to be responsive through the whole process. A week before our appointment, my now husband and daughter poked our head into the ballroom. I was nervous we'd get kicked out but Keith bumped into us. We told him we had an appointment but were dying to see the room. He was SO HAPPY and offered us coffee and told us to take a look. My husband was already sold just based off of Keith. Then we came in and met Lynn. A little more reserved than Keith but just as knowledgable and accommodating, she took the time with us to make sure all our questions were answered. It was a no-brainer for us. Our tasting was fun and we got to meet Chef who went over all the dishes. Lynn and my husband and I went over more logistics during the tasting. The day of the rehearsal was really chaotic for me, but Lynn handled it with ease. Our officiant had never done a wedding and was asking her for pointers! But she just rolled with it. The day of I was so nervous I was pacing. Lynn checked on me to see how I was doing. I thought that was incredibly sweet. I saw the remembrance table and place cards and seats for the ceremony and everything was picture perfect, I teared up from seeing how beautifully everything was laid out. Lynn checked on me a few times closer to the ceremony, and Karin checked in on my husband and asked how he was doing. She even offered to go get my mom's dress which she forgot at her house! After the ceremony they flipped the room in an hour. She distributed the tips, and Keith came up to the head table to refill wine and check in with us every 30 minutes or so. Whenever I felt a ton of anxiety prior to the wedding I told myself that we were in Lynn, Keith, and Karin's hands and that seriously worked. I felt so much better knowing that we hired the best of the best! -

Such a great venue!! Right off the bat Lynn was so accommodating when it came to answering questions and making appointments. The year of planning with Lynn was wonderful. The day of was absolutely perfect. All of our guests complimented the food ALOT. We did a late night snack as well that was a huge hit. Keith & Lynn made sure our families & us were catered to the entire night, & Kinta, the bar manager, made sure we had a drink in our hand all night! Service and quality were amazing, plus the space is just perfect for a wedding!! Our day was amazing!!! -

There are no words to describe how incredible our wedding was! Lynn was an outstanding component to this event and it would have not gone as smoothly with out her. Her top notch communication and planning abilities did not go unnoticed! Through out the entire wedding we received nothing but positive comments about how wonderful our wedding was. Not to mention the raving feedback about the superior quality of the hors d'oeuvres and dinner. Karen, Keith and the rest of the staff were extremely accommodating and we could not have asked for anything different. What a perfect wedding day! We can’t say enough about the personal attention and genuine interest that Lynn, Karin, Keith and the rest of the PAC staff demonstrated throughout the entire process. From the initial meeting, food tasting, consultations, through rehearsal and the day of the wedding, Lynn and the rest of the staff made the entire process enjoyable and stress free. Every detail of the event was accounted for and Lynn and Karin were a tremendous help answering all of our questions and providing recommendations. They understood exactly what we wanted and they executed it to perfection.
The entire staff was courteous, well coached and provided outstanding service to all of our guests. We received countless rave reviews regarding the venue, staff and excellent plated dinner. Many guests noted that the appearance, presentation and quality of the food was second to none. Did I mention the food was amazing?!
We can’t express our appreciation enough for everything the entire PAC team did to make our daughter’s wedding a beautiful, stress free and unforgettable event. Everything exceeded our expectations.
We highly recommend the PAC – 5 stars is simply not enough!

Thank you so much to Lynn! She was so nice and helpful during the entire wedding planning process. Especially since I am a bit high strung when it comes to planning and details, she definitely put me at ease and promised everything would turn out great. Also to Keith on the day of, he was great and super helpful in making sure that things ran smoothly. Can't say enough about them both.
The ballroom for our reception completely blew me away. It was beyond what I had hoped for. Lynn promised they would make it beautiful and she did not let me down. Everything I had pictured in my head was laid out in front of me. It was elegant and looked so amazing!
And let's take a moment to talk about the food. Oh. My. Gosh. It was so delicious! We had the ribs, chicken parmesan, and carved sirloin as our main dishes along with garlic mashed potatoes, honey glazed carrots, cauliflower, southwest pasta salad, and bacon pepper jack mac n cheese. Our plated salad was a spinach strawberry with candied pecans. I wanted more of everything but just couldn't fit it! I actually had a stomachache while dancing because my belly was so full!
Overall, it was SUCH an amazing night. The PAC, Lynn, Keith, and all their staff truly helped to make our wedding unforgettable! -

Our wedding at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts truly was a dream come true, and we owe so much of that to Lynn!
Lynn was extremely responsive, accommodating, patient, personable, and put us first throughout the planning process and the day of our wedding. For example, my husband and I were out on the balcony taking pictures at the time dinner was to be served, and Lynn came out to ask if the staff should serve dinner or wait for us to finish our pictures. This may seem like a simple gesture, but to us it’s just one example of the way Lynn made sure that everything was EXACTLY as we wanted.
Speaking of dinner, the food was incredible! The chef made sure the tasting was very informative and fun. We received so many compliments on the food and would recommend Sazama’s Fine Catering to anyone!
In addition to the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff, the location of the venue is perfect. In the heart of downtown Milwaukee, the views were beautiful and our pictures are fantastic!
We were overwhelmed by the number of compliments our guests had for the staff, the food, and the venue, and we will certainly recommend the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts and Sazama’s Fine Catering to our friends and family in the future! And Lynn, thanks again!! – Sarah and Eric

Wonderful experience. The staff (Lynn and Keith in particular) were instrumental in helping us plan our day and curtail it towards our personal style. In addition, they were extremely accommodative of guests with special needs, adding staff to disburse special desserts, and structuring the cocktail hour entertainment. We have had more positive feedback than we ever could have hoped for in regards to the staff friendliness and service, the elegance of the Bradley Pavilion, and the general location downtown (central, so guests had multiple hotel and entertainment options while in town). Highly recommended. Hats off to the Marcus! -

The Marcus Center & Sazama's staff were extremely professional, attentive and supportive all the way through, from our first tour of the venue to the wedding day. The lengths they went to make sure we had everything we wanted was truly impressive. They were always honest, quick to respond, and happy to provide great recommendations when we weren't exactly sure what we wanted to do in terms of food, setup, etc. We had both the ceremony and reception here. Sazama's catering can't be beat. Our guests were raving about the food, service, and beautiful venue. Highly, highly recommend. You are in good hands all around! -

Where do I even begin to explain how absolutely amazing it was to work with the performing art center for our wedding needs! We had our wedding in the beginning of June and used the PAC for both our ceremony and our reception. We worked directly with Lynn for everything in both the planning stages of the wedding and the day of and she was the ABSOLUTE best! She was like our own personal wedding planner. She was so caring, compassionate, professional, responsive (I could go on and on). She was even so accommodating with giving us options when we had planned to have our ceremony in the Fitch Gardens and there was a chance for rain. The venue set up both inside and outside and luckily the rain stopped and we were able to have the ceremony in the Fitch Gardens and it was perfect. I also want to comment on all of the other support staff that we worked with on the day of the wedding. This included Keith, Karin and Vicki. They were so amazing. They felt like family members in helping everything get set up so perfectly and run so smoothly. And then there is the fooood!! Everyone loves food, and the food that was catered by Sazama's was so so so delicious!!! We got so many compliments on the food. Lynn made the tasting process so easy and they are super accommodating and can basically make anything happen for you food wise. Another really awesome perk that the PAC allows you to do, is leave all your stuff in the venue the night of (if there is not another wedding the next day they have to get ready for) and then you can go pick it up the next day, that was so awesome because I didn't have to worry about getting everything out that night, because that would have been the last thing on my mind. I would absolutely absolutely recommend the PAC to any one who is planning and having a wedding!!! -

We were blown away with the quality of service from the Marcus Center! We worked with Lynn throughout the whole process, and she made everything absolutely stress-free. It was like having our own wedding planner for the reception. She was very quick to respond to all of my emails (even if it was a question about a very small detail) and I always felt like they were willing to accommodate exactly what I wanted for my wedding. They offer package options for meals, but things can be substituted or slightly altered to fit exactly what you want for your day. I would highly recommend using them. It took a lot of stress out the planning the reception. -

We absolutely loved our wedding at the PAC. We had both our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at the venue. The ceremony was outside in the Fitch Garden and absolutely stunning. We took pictures outside the venue during the cocktail hour and our guests love taking pictures in the garden (which we saw in numerous Christmas cards). The reception was perfect, the staff was extremely accommodating, and the food was excellent. We worked with Karin from the moment we selected the venue through our wedding day. She was an absolute godsend and we still stop by to see her whenever we are at the PAC. We would highly recommend this venue, it made our day an absolute dream! -

First of all, I loved the PAC's location. The ballroom offers a stunning view of the Milwaukee River and is conveniently situated close to many great photo locations for wedding pictures. In addition, many of our guests stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel and enjoyed the close proximity to the reception site. Best of all was the personalized service and genuine attention to detail by all members of the Sazama's Catering Staff. Thanks to them, the food presentation was spectacular and the evening was truly unforgettable.

I can't say enough about how amazing the team at Marcus Performing Arts Center is to work with. We got married on September 6th, 2015 and had majority of our guests coming in to Milwaukee from Boston, Chicago,and Madison. Everyone was blown away by the perfect location of our venue, and the amazing views from the huge floor to ceiling windows overlooking downtown and the river. We looked at a lot of venues, and the Marcus staff seemed to be by far the most accommodating team to work with. Lynn, Karen and Keith were all so helpful throughout the entire process, Lynn worked with us to customize a wedding package so the venue would work within our budget. The appetizers, meals, and late night food options are all spectacular, our guests raved about the food. The staff at Marcus went above and beyond expectations for us in so many ways, even helping with set up and tear down of our decorations/centerpieces. They made the entire day so stress free and easy, which is exactly what we needed. We couldn't be happier with our decision to have our wedding at Marcus Performing Arts Center, I would highly recommend to everyone!! -

Lynn worked with us from the first day we toured the event room all the way through our reception. She was always one step ahead to make sure that everything ran smoothly. We were really able to sit back and enjoy the day knowing that we were in good hands. During our tasting Lynn considered the feedback from everyone in our group to come up with the perfect menu for us. The entire Sazamas staff was so professional and accommodating. The balcony and garden were great bonus spaces for our guests to enjoy the beautiful summer weather during the cocktail hour and into the evening. I would recommend this place to anyone! -

My husband and I held our wedding ceremony & reception at the Performing Arts Center in mid-November of 2015. We began planning our wedding a year before, and once we toured the PAC, we immediately booked our date! The convenience of having internal catering through Sazama's really alleviated a lot of extra work/stress of finding an outside caterer (not to mention it saved us a lot of $$). The wedding coordinators at the PAC are so wonderful to work with. I did not want to hire a formal wedding planner, and the PAC has day-of wedding coordinators that are there to help and work with your other vendors on the day of your wedding (which is all you really need). We worked with Lynn, Karen and Keith, and they were all extremely helpful and so great to work with. We received many comments after our wedding about how great the food was! One of the main things we enjoyed about this venue was that it was perfect for our ceremony AND reception. We really wanted to host everything at the same venue, so that no one would have to worry about driving or down-time in between the ceremony & reception. Outside of their main ballroom, they have a beautiful promenade area directly outside the doors where the cocktail hour is held before the reception. This venue has several easily accessible outdoor areas directly next to the promenade and also directly connected to the ballroom, so if people needed some fresh air after all the dancing, they could easily step outside and not miss out on any of the fun. We were able to work with the coordinators on the ideal set-up of the room for our dinner/dancing reception. There are so many options for set-up of the head table, which is nice since some venues only allow the room to be set up in 1 way. One of the other things that made our wedding so amazing, was the close proximity of hotels to the PAC. The majority of our guests stayed directly across the street at the Intercontinental! I highly recommend hosting your wedding at the PAC! -

My wedding was on September 5, 2015 and it was one of the best days of my life. I received so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was and how amazing the food was. Everyone I talked to said it was the best food they had ever eaten at a wedding! The detail that the staff at the Marcus Center & Sazamas put into my wedding was outstanding. Working with Keith put my mind at ease and any request I asked of him, he executed flawlessly. I cannot say enough good things about Keith, Karen, and the rest of the staff there. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for an amazing, out of this world experience. I did not have to worry about a thing, because I knew it was being taken care of. The venue itself is amazing... huge room with floor to ceiling windows, wood floors, views out over the Milwaukee river and Pere Marquette Park, just to name a few. And the staff is wonderful too... our wedding coordinator was super helpful and was always prompt in getting back to me when I had questions. The night of the wedding, the GM was there to make sure that everything was perfect, and the wait staff was very professional. Everyone knew what they were doing and it made our day so easy and stress-free! -

This location was beautiful for our wedding and took very good care of our guests. All e-mails and phone calls before the event were answered promptly, they were so flexible and helped guide us in decisions as we had never planned a wedding before. They helped with both set up and take down, we weren't left to fend for ourselves, and the night itself was run quite well. The Marcus Center and Ovation Catering surpassed my expectations for a beautiful, memorable wedding reception. They were always available to answer questions and give suggestions, they had food tastings and wine tastings...I knew exactly what I was going to get! Our guests could not have been more impressed and it is a wedding they will be talking about for a long time to come. -

WOW! From the moment we walked in for our first visit, to the morning after our wedding picking up our stuff, the staff at the Marcus Center was nothing short of amazing. They were there to answer any question (and very prompt to emails and phone calls), gave great opinions but also took what we had in mind and made it work. The food was for lack of a better term drool worthy. We have people still coming up to us now months after saying how it was the best wedding food they've ever had. The location was perfect and was walking distance from hotels and bars but also other fun things Milwaukee has to offer. I couldn't imagine having our reception anywhere else. -

Perfect spot for our big day!
Our wedding reception at the Marcus Performing Arts Center was fantastic, and so much of what made the day so special was because of the incredible work done by the staff at the venue. From literally the first day that we started working with Marie on planning the day, we knew we were in good hands - any question, comment, concern, or wonder we had, she was able to get us all the information we needed as quickly as humanly possible. And on the actual day of our wedding, everything went exactly as planned. Isn't that just what you want on your wedding day? It's what we wanted! Thanks to Marie and the rest of the staff at the Marcus Performing Arts Center, our wedding was such a delightful, memorable day.
Oh and the food? INCREDIBLE. MOUTH WATERING. I still dream about the chicken verona to this day.-

Awesome Experience
We had the most perfect fall wedding at the PAC with Sazama's catering. Lynn and the team at Sazama's were very responsive and easy to work with throughout the whole process. They helped us coordinate with our other vendors for set up on our wedding day and when we showed up everything looked perfect. We received many compliments on the venue and location in the heart of downtown Milwaukee, since we had many guests from out of town. The service was great, the food was delicious and the venue was beautiful- we couldn't have asked for a better venue and caterer to host our wedding! -

Just Beautiful
Our wedding day was perfect! The venue was beautiful and the flow from the ceremony in the Fitch Gardner to the reception in the Bradley Pavilion went smoothly. I was an hour late due to some unforeseen circumstances and when I arrived, Lynn and Karin put me immediately at ease! All the staff were friendly and professional. I have complained about everything this past week from my hair, to nails to my dress, BUT I have no complaints about the venue or the service. It again was amazing and I truly appreciate how it all came together. And the food was delicious. Thank you to all of the staff!!!!-

When meeting with the Marcus Center they were very helpful, professional and flexible. We got a lot for the money and it helped everything was included. The food, drinks, service was super! We were very happy we chose to go with the Marcus Center. Plus the venue is beautiful!! -

Lynn, Keith & the entire staff were amazing to work with -- they made the planning process easy and FUN and took a lot of the stress out of planning all of the details. Our entire reception was completely flawless -- if there were any issues going on behind the scenes (which i doubt there were :)) I did not know anything about them. If you're looking for an affordable venue for a large crowd in downtown Milwaukee, the Marcus Center is a great choice. The room is lovely and view from the ballroom is gorgeous. You are limited to using their caterer-- Sazama's, but I have to say, they did an excellent job.
My major complaint is with the bathrooms, they need to be updated--they are the type you'd find at a high school with metal stalls. Not exactly the glamourous feel I was looking for at my wedding. Also, they seemed to also be used by theatre goers during the wedding, which was kind of odd. Aside from that, though, the Marcus Center was great. -

Favorite Day
My husband and I got had our reception at the Marcus last August and I've been meaning to write this up ever since, but could not find the right words to express how perfect the day was. The venue fit our big family with room to spare, the patio was perfect for cocktail hour and no one went hungry or thirsty for a second! During the planning process, I kept thinking "isn't this supposed to be harder?" but all the options were laid out so seamlessly, that it was uncomplicated and fun all the way through from the food trials to the day itself. It was a magical day that I wish we could repeat every year! -

Beautiful venue - many guests were impressed. Loved that all the services were provided in one place, from the planning to the food, everything went smoothly. The staff responds quickly and is always available to answer questions. -

We were extremely happy with the way that our wedding reception went in the ballroom! We worked with Lynn who was very personable and communicative when we had questions. The food - family style - was delicious!! We were able to set-up early and pick-up our decor on Sunday afternoon. The space is gorgeous, plenty of room for our guests, a band, and a large dance floor. We also loved access to outdoor space for our guests!! -

October Wedding
This venue is a hidden Milwaukee gem in my opinion! Most of my guests, including my husband and I, did not know this venue option even existed after visiting for many shows throughout the years. This venue was spacious, included several amenities that are typically upcharges elsewhere like chivari chairs, an outdoor garden cocktail hour, additional linens and napkin options. Sazma’s fine catering did a great job with our family style dinner option & bar, and was decently priced per person. The venue space itself is situated on the Milwaukee river and has large floor to ceiling windows that face the water and downtown skyline making for a beautiful dinner backdrop. There is also balcony access that overlooks the water and was an awesome addition to the space. Lastly, the dance floor is built in hardwood floor which just brought the space all together! Overall I was very pleased with the space! The only note I would add is that communication with the venue coordinator was slow at times via email. When needed, I could call the office and speak to someone, but felt like email communication needed several follow ups up until a couple weeks before the wedding. Overall I would highly recommend the MPAC! Take a tour for yourself, as the space is more beautiful than photos! And a tour really helped us get questions answered and make the right choice for us,-

Beautiful wedding, unorganized planning
While it wasn’t the easiest process getting there, we had an absolutely wonderful wedding at the Marcus Center! The venue itself is so lovely. We fell in love with ivy covered Fitch Gardens, the balcony overlooking the river, and the ceiling lights that added fun character to the classic ballroom space for our reception. We weren't able to use Fitch Gardens for our ceremony due to the weather, but the weather backup space is beautiful as well and we were really happy with it. Our guests RAVED about the food - one said we served the best steak he's ever had in his life!
For the most part all of the staff was great and very helpful. We planned our wedding during COVID19 and I believe that took a toll on the communication and organization during the planning process. Early on, Lynn and Karin assured me that I didn’t need to hire a wedding planner because they would handle everything and it wouldn’t be necessary, but I think I would have felt a lot more comfortable with a planner to help. I worked with Lynn and while she worked really hard to make my wedding perfect, I never felt completely secure that things were on track or that we were on the same page. Wedding planning is stressful and I would have appreciated some more guidance throughout the process instead of having to initiate check ins and next steps myself. While I’m sure that COVID19 provided some challenges on her end too, I often heard her admit to being unsure of something because she hadn’t had a wedding in a while, or just being overwhelmed in general. At one point two of our groomsmen were frantically handling a responsibility at the wedding that Lynn assured me she would take care of.
Overall it was an amazing wedding and I wouldn’t change a thing. I’d highly recommend the Marcus Center and Sazamas catering but be prepared to take charge and over communicate as you’re planning! -
