Highly effective wedding planner!
I hired Marci to help with the last two months' of planning the wedding and to run the rehearsal and day-of activities. She was a rockstar! I appreciate that I could also reach her as soon as I signed the contract for monthly calls and weekly questions by email, and this turned out to be a perfect cadence for me. As a bride planning most of the wedding on my own, I consulted Marci for questions that I needed some guidance on. On the wedding day, she and her associate were instrumental in making sure the wedding day went off without a hitch. As far as I can tell, it went perfectly smoothly, and if there was ever a problem, I didn't know about it (which is how it should be!). The best planner ever!
We searched high and low for a planner in our budget, and ultimately went on a recommendation to hire Marcella Camille Events based on the review of another planner in the Tahoe area. We went with the partial planning package as it best suited our budget and intentions to be involved in event design, vendor selection and overall planning.
Marci was detailed, kind, and informative. She made sure we always knew what was up next, and the organization tools she provided saved us a ton of time (and headaches). She also joined us for an in-person site walk a few months before the wedding where we determined the event layout, and the vendor hand off was so smooth going into wedding month as well.
I was kind of nervous that the day of the event would have last-minute issues, but Marci thought of everything, and her calm demeanor grounded the entire day.
Her assistant on the day of the wedding ran our rehearsal which went off without a hitch, and was also an immense help before, during, and after the wedding event. I don’t think there was a single stressed person at the entire event. Her cool head set the tone and we are so grateful to all that she did for us. Would recommend her to anyone getting married around Tahoe!

Choose her!
Marci is kind, organized, thoughtful & cares about your day just as much as you do. I could not have asked for a better wedding planner to go through every tiny detail of our day with - watching all of the countless emails, inspo photos, & planning sessions come to life better than I could have ever imagined was truly amazing. She was there with us ever step of the way, keeping our goals & vision at the front of it all, even when the need to pivot day of happened. And as if creating the perfect day wasn't enough, she made sure the day itself was smooth & flowed perfectly to ensure we didn't have to worry about a thing. Thank you Marci! Wonderful wedding planner!
Marci was super helpful throughout our wedding planning process! She was resourceful, supportive, reachable, and had a wonderful attitude - always positive and optimistic! She really helped us find our vision and assisted with bringing all the necessary vendors together to make it happen. I would highly recommend Marci if you are looking for a planner as well as a friend throughout the process! 😊

Amazing and experienced planner!
Where to start! Marci was everything I could have imagined for a wedding planner and more. First and foremost, she knows what she is doing, and second, she is simply a great person to be around and talk to during such a personal part of your life.
As many others, we had to postpone our wedding a whole year and our original venue was sold and under new ownership, which changed many things for our day. Marci really led the way making sure we were still getting everything we wanted, despite these changes. Throughout the entire planning process she was one step ahead on everything. She was so well connected to other vendors in San Francisco and provided us with amazing recommendations for our florist, band, catering, etc. During all of our calls she was so on top of the right questions to ask (things I definitely would not have thought of but were very important logistically).
On the wedding day, she was such a calming presence, I didn't worry one bit about everything going on at the venue because I knew she would have it handled. Everything went so smoothly and was completely perfect. If anything didn't go as planned, I had no idea and that is for sure all thanks to Marci and her team. Incredible Management Skills - Don't Have Your Wedding Without Her!
Marci is a miracle worker - I 100% recommend hiring her! We retained her services prior to Covid, and when everything went crazy and we needed to postpone, she stuck with us and made us feel reassured. With Marci's help, we were able to have the wedding we always wanted. She's incredibly communicative and prompt in responding. She provided wonderful advice when we had issues with other vendors and questions about etiquette. We opted for for the day/month of service and that was perfect for us; not having to deal with vendor schedules the day of our wedding was invaluable. My favorite vendor from our wedding!
From the first phone consult I had with Marci, I knew I had to have her on my vendor team. She was so friendly, helpful, and full of wonderful ideas from the beginning and only proved herself to be even more valuable as the planning process continued.
First of all, the website she gave me access to was one of the most valuable tools I had. Between budget tracking, idea boards, guest count, floor plans, timeline and every other aspect of planning, I could keep all of it organized in one place!
We had three planning meetings (two of which were over the phone since I planned most of the wedding long distance) and a venue tour before the wedding, in which we covered every detail of the wedding day . By the time our wedding was 2 weeks away, Marci handled every aspect for me so I could relax and enjoy our wedding weekend. She managed all of the last minute emails, questions, set up/deliveries, scheduling, etc. If anything went wrong on our wedding day, I knew nothing about it! She is a jack of all trades! Not only is she a wedding planning boss, but she got to play hairstylist for me and pulled my hair into an updo before our reception when my veil messed up my hair!
I truly cannot say enough good things about Marci. Her calm, collected, sweet, and organized manner left me feeling poised and ready for our wedding rather than stressed and freaking out. Every time I had a question, she was quick to provide suggestions and solutions. Her willingness to help and make our wedding perfect shows in every aspect of her planning. Best Decision Ever
Best Wedding Planner ever! The decision to have Marci and her team was the easiest and beat decision we made for our big day! Marci came highly recommended by the venue we booked, The Lodge at Tahoe Donner. I am a person who shops around a lot, weighs the pros and cons, but upon meeting Marci for coffee for this very reason I knew instantly she was perfect for us with her attention to detail, thoughtfulness, organization and just sweet kind nature. We decided to go with her "Wedding Management" package; between full wedding planning and day of coordination. Once booked we were setup on AislePlanner to stay organized and collectively see the progress in planning we were making. Such an amazing help!! I am very easy going person and did a lot of planning over a long period of time, which at times I felt I was not making enough progress as things got closer to the big day. Marci kept me at ease the whole time. The official check in meetings really helped make me feel like I was making the right progress. Meanwhile, Marci was able to point out things we had not thought of. And even met us at the venue to do another walk through, took notes and asked amazing questions. She even handled all the discussions with all the vendors up to the day, which I couldn't be more grateful for! The weekend of went just as smooth, despite the weather. The rehearsal was a 70 degree day and we had a group of boys and ladies who had been partying all day and yet she was able to quickly and efficiently ran us through walking in/out and the logistics of day smoothly. In addition to that, she organized us to do a dry run of a back up plan in case it rained. The day of it began snowing for our semi-outdoor wedding. Marci and her team thought of everything ... last minute decor changes, lawn games inside the tent, heaters, layout changes and I was never once worried and yet still thought of us making sure we had our marriage license, adjusting the timeline minorly to allow us to eat, bringing out snacks while doing family pictures in between the snow breaks. Truly she was there every step of the way for us and our wedding guests. There are not enough great things I can say about Marci and her team. I would not have had a day so gorgeous day with such a surprise weather twist.Best Wedding Planner ever! Stress free wedding day
I hired Marci for day of (month of) services since I had already hired all my vendors and figured out all my decor but was sooooo stressed that my now husband pleaded that I hire someone to at least do the big day. Because of Marci, I was able to fully let go the day of our wedding and know that everything would turn out just as beautiful as I pictured in my head. She did a perfect job of somehow understanding exactly what I imagined and executing it perfectly. Even though I still had the stress of planning the whole thing out, being able to actually enjoy every second of our wedding day was priceless. Marci is amazing
I have hired Marci for two weddings. The first was my own 3 1/2 years ago. I was so busy and under so much stress at the time, I decided that I should just bite the bullet and hire someone to help me. We have a gorgeous, huge, oak studded backyard that we wanted to use as our venue. Hiring Marci was one of the best decisions I have ever made. She really has a gift for organizing every minute detail with class and grace and my backyard wedding was perfect. My daughter got engaged and was so impressed by my wedding that she wanted her wedding to be just like mine. I called Marci of course and my daughter’s wedding for 100 guests was absolutely perfect. Guests commented on how professional and organized Marci was. She doesn’t miss anything and there was not one single glitch in the day. I definitely will be contacting Marci again, for my other children’s weddings. I am kind of reluctant to write a good review for her though, because I don’t want her to be too busy when I need her again. :-) Seriously though, she is the best.I have hired Marci for two weddings. Best Decision!
One of the best decisions we made was choosing Marcella Camille Events. When starting off wedding planning, I knew it was important to get a planner on board early. I reached out to Marci on Wedding Wire (based on her great reviews) as well as a few other companies. Marci set up a time for a brief call to discuss our vision. At this point, I had already booked a few vendors (venue & photographer) but was still pretty early in the planning process. Marci was so easy to talk to and I know we clicked right away. We decided to go with her "Wedding Management" package which I believe was the middle tier (between full wedding planning and day of coordination).
Once booked, Marci quickly sent us a link to use AislePlanner and had set up a page for us. What an amazing site this was!! It was an extremely organized web platform that had areas for: Timeline/Schedule, Checklist (broken out by due date based on your wedding date), Budget, Notes, etc.
From day one, we could tell this was a great decision! Marci took the lead with looking into vendors that we hadn't quite figured out yet and sending us options/quotes that fit our Vision. Throughout the process, Marci always gave me peace of mind
Our first official "planning meeting" came when Marci came to our tasting with us at West Shore Café (our venue). She was extremely organized and took notes and asked questions that we hadn't quite thought of the whole time.
The next planning meeting was about 6-8 weeks ahead of the wedding (I think) and this is where we really did a deep dive into key outstanding items for the wedding. We did a video call where we ran through the checklist, timeline, and décor.
About a month before the wedding was our "final" planning meeting and we really nailed down the final details. Even when I felt behind, Marci put me at ease with being available and friendly! Marci handled the discussions with all vendors leading up to the wedding and put together an extremely detailed timeline for the weekend!
Now to wedding weekend! Marci handled the rehearsal like a true pro. She quickly and efficiently ran us through walking in/out and the logistics of day of in about 30 minutes or so. Following that, we had a quick décor meeting to run through all items that needed to be set up day of.
Day Of - I didn't worry about a single thing on day of. Every detail was done the exact way that I wanted it and the tables looked incredible! Marci and her team thought of everything - champagne where we were signing our marriage license, adjusting the timeline minorly to allow us to eat, being there every step of the way if wedding guests had any questions. The wedding ceremony started right on time and Marci made sure we were all lined up and ready to go!

Our first official "planning meeting" came when Marci came to our tasting with us at West Shore Café (our venue). She was extremely organized and took notes and asked questions that we hadn't quite thought of the whole time.
The next planning meeting was about 6-8 weeks ahead of the wedding (I think) and this is where we really did a deep dive into key outstanding items for the wedding. We did a video call where we ran through the checklist, timeline, and décor.
About a month before the wedding was our "final" planning meeting and we really nailed down the final details. Even when I felt behind, Marci put me at ease with being available and friendly! Marci handled the discussions with all vendors leading up to the wedding and put together an extremely detailed timeline for the weekend!
Now to wedding weekend! Marci handled the rehearsal like a true pro. She quickly and efficiently ran us through walking in/out and the logistics of day of in about 30 minutes or so. Following that, we had a quick décor meeting to run through all items that needed to be set up day of.
Day Of - I didn't worry about a single thing on day of. Every detail was done the exact way that I wanted it and the tables looked incredible! Marci and her team thought of everything - champagne where we were signing our marriage license, adjusting the timeline minorly to allow us to eat, being there every step of the way if wedding guests had any questions. The wedding ceremony started right on time and Marci made sure we were all lined up and ready to go!
I can't say enough great things about Marci and she is definitely the right decision if you want your wedding day to go off without a hitch!-

Best Decision Ever
If I had to choose which vendor was most important on my wedding day, hands down it would be Marci with Marcella Camille Events.
I found Marci through WeddingWire and contacted her. She got back to me right away (which I appreciated because who wants to hire a planner that takes days to respond?). We ended up setting up a time to meet and go over her packages and what I envisioned for our wedding. We decided to go with the day of coordination since I had already put in a lot of work into the planning of the wedding. Day of coordination included a few meetings, day of coordination and open contact information for any help you might need. This was perfect for us!
Marci met with my husband and I for our first meeting at our rental company since I was having a difficult time really envisioning what I wanted. She made it easy to pick what we liked and offered many different perspectives to choose from that still went with our theme. Something I really loved about working with Marci is that she listens to what you want and helps you put that together. She doesn’t try to put her own touch on it, she wants it to be your own touch to truly showcase what you as a couple wanted for your big day. She helped to organize our rental order that way we knew what tables would be used for what, she knew the size of the linens to get, and she had insight on how many patio heaters we might need.

Let me tell you, if you are on the fence about hiring a day of coordinator, do it purely for this reason. There is no way that we would have known all of the aspects of a ceremony on our own. That would have taken some serious time on google (which quite frankly as a bride you just don’t have time for that). Marci knows what she is talking about when it comes to organizing your ceremony. She took notes on all of the decor we plan we to have and where we wanted it to go that way she could have it set up correctly on our wedding day.

I really loved that throughout this process we had an aisle-planner site that we all had access to. It had so many helpful resources and it made keeping all of our wedding items in one place easy. It helped us stay on track with payment deadlines, budget, and all of the details of the wedding. As the day got closer she added vendors to it that way they could see our full time line and utilize that on the wedding day. This resource was amazing as a bride. The knot looks sort of useless compared to this.
We met for our rehearsal two days before the wedding and Marci had name tags written for everyone playing a part in our wedding. She facilitated the rehearsal in a way that made it easy for people to understand and then ran us through it a few times to make sure everyone understood what was happening. She knew the best ways to have our wedding party stand that way they looked their best, too. It was at this point that I was SUPER grateful for hiring Marci because I would have never wanted to run a rehearsal on my own. Let alone the wedding.
My wedding day was a dream and I have Marci and her assistant, Faith to thank for that. I had many things go wrong with my rental order, and at first that bothered me. But they both reminded me that this was my wedding, and all that mattered was that I was marrying the love of my life. They helped me feel beautiful, and validated all of the hard work I put into this wedding. They kept the night on track and made sure the other vendors were staying on track. After we left they helped make sure the rentals all got back on the truck and that everything was as it should be.
Marci always made herself available, validated my feelings as a stressed out bride, and offered to help with whatever I needed whether that was contacting hard to reach vendors or looking something up for me. Sure, your bridal party can help you with things, but they could have never done what Marci did. If you want a wedding day that makes you feel at ease, do yourself a favor and hire Marci. You won’t regret it- it will be your best decision!

Marci and her assistants were amazing! Marci is extremely helpful and kind and had everything running smoothly. I'm a bit of a control freak, so it says a lot that I was able to relax and enjoy our big day, knowing that Marci and her team had it handled. So grateful to have had her managing our wedding. We love Marci!
Marci was a DREAM. From start to finish, Marci guided us through venue selection, vendors, design and managed all logistics. I was not one of those brides who had a set vision for their wedding day, but Marci managed to turn a few pinterest pins into my perfect day. She executed the most beautiful wedding I have ever attended (and my husband would agree!) while working within the confines of our budget. As an extremely indecisive person, it was incredibly helpful to be able to ask Marci “what do you think I want” and for her to quickly provide an answer. It is also a testament to how well Marci gets to know her clients and how she can predict the needs and wants of her brides.
On the day of, Marci managed the set-up and vendors so smoothly I felt like I could truly enjoy my day and not stress about any of the details. From bustling my gown, making sure snacks were readily available, and finalizing all décor details Marci managed to somehow always seemed to be there when I needed her while also making sure everything went seamlessly. I have attended a lot of weddings that do not start on time and she managed our timeline perfectly. Phenomenal wedding help!
I am incredibly happy I hired Marci to be my day-of coordinator! I had most of my wedding planned and foolishly thought I could handle everything the day-of, but as my wedding day drew near I quickly realized I would not be able to manage! After consultation with Marci, I knew she was the perfect person to coordinate my wedding!
Leading up to the wedding Marci was a huge help! She had great tips and suggestions to help make the wedding go smoothly. She was extremely thorough and was genuinely interested in making sure everything was what we wanted.
The day of the wedding Marci was fantastic. She handled all vendor interactions making sure our cake was delivered and the music was set up and ready to go. Marci also placed entryway and table decorations and she also set up the dessert table. The reception area looked amazing, Marci really understood my wedding vision and made it come to life.

Marci in one word.. AMAZING

Marcella is a personal friend of ours and I didn't originally want to mix business with "family;" and tried hard to plan my wedding on my own. But trying to work full time and plan a wedding in 3 months proved very difficult and I realized I needed help! I went to Marci for help with the agreement that she had to be able to attend our wedding as a good friend and guest and not our wedding coordinator--she assured me she could do that...and she did!! Her ability to speak "wedding language" eased conversations with different vendors and she introduced us to other great vendors we were still in search of. We had booked a venue that didn't include set up and tear down and Marci thought outside the box and found us the muscle we needed (and helped save us money as well).
