The BEST experience!
Tricia was the absolute best. I don’t wear makeup usually on a daily basis and I’ve had a few really bad experiences from getting makeup done for other weddings I was a part of, so making a decision for which artist I would go with for my own day was a big deal to me. From the very beginning Tricia was communicative and open about everything. During my trial she made me feel very comfortable that going into the day I had no anxiety at all about how my makeup was going to turn out.
My mom and friends are similar to me and by the end of the getting ready process everyone had nothing but great things to say about their final outcome! Even with the hot weather everyone’s makeup stayed throughout the day and by the night it still looked like it was freshly done.
Truly could not recommend more!

Tricia from Maravilla Make-Up was absolutely exceptional, and I am so grateful she was part of our wedding day. From the start, she was communicative, organized, and so easy to work with!
At my trial, Tricia really took the time to understand how I normally wear my makeup and how I wanted to feel on my wedding day. She asked thoughtful questions, explained her product choices, and made subtle adjustments until everything felt completely “me”, just elevated!
On the wedding day, she brought the same calming presence. The getting-ready space felt relaxed and joyful, and Tricia played such a big role in that energy. My makeup looked flawless in person and in photos, and it held beautifully through happy tears, hugs, heat, and hours of dancing. I never once felt like I needed touch-ups beyond what’s normal.
Beyond just my experience, every single friend and family member who sat in her chair felt beautiful and well taken care of. She enhanced everyone’s natural features without making anyone feel overdone or unlike themselves, which is such a talent.

Look no further for a professional, kind hearted, and talented makeup artist! I met Tricia last year when traveling to Costa Rica for the first time and she was so welcoming, and able to do my makeup trial while I was in town. One year later this Saturday she did a fabulous job with my bridal makeup and all of the women in my party. Tricia was a dream to work with! She worked with me and my bridal party to give us the looks we wanted and was super responsive to feedback. My mom was nervous about getting her makeup done because she normally doesn’t wear much makeup but Tricia made her feel totally at ease and gave her a natural look that she felt comfortable in. Tricia of Maravilla Make-up did such a wonderful job with makeup for me and my bridal party for my destination wedding in Costa Rica. From the first intro up until the wedding day, she was professional, kind, and communicative. Although we didn't meet in-person until the wedding day, I felt completely taken care of. She definitely takes the time to understand what your preferred style of makeup is leading up to the wedding and boy does she deliver! I was blown away when I saw the final look -- she listened and perfectly executed on what I was looking for. I'm so pleased with how the photos turned out and my makeup lasted all night. From the first moment we contacted Tricia for our daughter's wedding make-up, we knew she was a gem. She kept in contact with us, made sure she knew the "look" the entire bridal party needed, was clear on instructions of how to reach her and how to prepare for our appointment. She took the worry out of booking with a vendor in a different country. She was absolutely the most pleasant human and a joy to spend time with while getting ready for the ceremony. Her products are clean, high quality, and were gentle on our sensitive skin. She spent time with each of us to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our looks. I am so happy that Tricia was available for my wedding day! She is unbelievably talented and her make-up skills are what I would expect with a celebrity MUA! I have never felt so beautiful, as I did on my wedding day. My make-up was perfect, and lasted throughout the entire evening. Everyone who had their make-up done that day, looked amazing. ( I had never seen my mom & MIL look so gorgeous!). Not only will you have the best MUA if you book her, but you are going to feel like one of your good friends is with you. She is an absolute gem of a person, with the most beautiful and kind soul! Being a destination wedding, not a lot of my girlfriends were able to make it. But having Tricia as my MUA made me feel like I had one of my good friends in the room with me that day. She’s easy to talk to, funny, and has a wonderful energy/presence about her. Tricia did my makeup for my wedding in August. I am not local or familiar with the Tamarindo area but I found Tricia online after seeing awesome reviews. She responded quickly and answered any questions I had. She is very organized and even made sure we did a trial when I arrived to Costa Rica prior to the wedding. I had the best experience with her! She works efficiently and everyone’s makeup looked beautiful. I highly recommend if you want a beautiful natural look on your wedding day! -

Makeup was Exceptional!
Tricia was a referral from my photographer who was shooting our wedding at Cala Luna in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. Tricia is definitely an expert! We initially did a trial day a few days before my wedding. She was so personable and very professional! My make up for my special day was beautiful and natural and also stayed wonderfully during the humid weather. It was my first time wearing false eye lashes and they were so natural and comfortable. They even lasted for 5 days after my wedding, sleeping, sweating, swimming and everything. I loved them so much I ordered them to have when I returned to Florida! She is amazing and a very sweet person. If you want the best, you'll have the best with Tricia!! -

All I could have hoped for!
I could not have been happier with Tricia! I planned my wedding in Costa Rica from Texas and did not have the ability to do any trial runs for my make-up. I hoped for the best and Tricia did not disappoint! She was responsive in her communication from the time I booked her, she came prepared and understood the look I wanted. My make-up was FLAWLESS! I had sixteen months to plan my wedding and Tricia was one of the first two vendors I knew I wanted to hire, the other being my photographer. We chose Costa Rica for our destination wedding without having been there before, and we never had the chance to visit before our wedding weekend. Tricia was extremely responsive and her portfolio of work gave me so much confidence in booking her. Meeting her in person was just as amazing--Tricia has such an amazing personality and I am so grateful to have hired her for my wedding day.
As someone that wears makeup maybe once a year, I was especially worried about makeup. I wasn't sure I could find someone in Costa Rica that knew how to work with my monolids, but Tricia absolutely knocked it out of the park. It was also insanely humid the day of our wedding, and her makeup somehow lasted all night despite the fact that I was literally dripping sweat at some point. She knows exactly what she's doing and the results were incredible.

Getting married in Costa Rica was the easiest decision my husband and I could have made... but despite how sure we were in our decision, the responsibility of choosing vendors abroad was a LOT of pressure! To know that you are going to like your makeup by simply seeing pictures or communicating online seems like a tall order... yet, after reading the reviews of the brides who have come before me and communicating with Tricia a bit, I KNEW I made the right choice. Once the day for my trial came along, I was even more at ease. She applied with a light touch yet made my face totally come to life! When my BIG DAY came along, I was even MORE at ease... again... as she was so pleasant to my bridal party, helped calm nerves, and got everyone done in a timely fashion. My bridal party loved the experience, and I couldn't have asked for more in a makeup artist. -

Tricia was so amazing to work with from start to finish. She's super professional and everyone LOVED their makeup. I worked with her the day before my wedding for a makeup trial too that I wore to our welcome event. I was so in love with my makeup on my wedding day, she brought my Pinterest board to life completely and nailed the beachy bronze look I wanted. The best part was that even in 95 degrees and high wind, my makeup still looked perfect at the end of the night! Even my friends were commenting on how fresh and flawless it still looked after dancing and sweating all night. Tricia and her team were fabulous!! I dont wear a lot of makeup so was really nervous about over doing it for my wedding day. Wow. I can’t even begin to describe how amazing this woman is! Booking Tricia online from the states was a little scary you never know what you’re going to get. She was very responsive and omg so organized, she made me feel at ease. I finally got to meet her the day before my wedding for a trial she listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly that.
The day of the wedding it poured on us and my make up stayed in place and still loved amazing.

Where do I even begin?! Tricia went above and beyond! From our trial day to wedding day I clicked with her on so many levels! We coordinated via email beforehand where she asked for photos and inspiration, and she came to our hotel to do a trial the day before where we got to make some changes so I was super happy with the look! Tricia was amazing to work with! We had to postpone our wedding from 2020 to 2021 and she was very understanding and accommodating. Tricia is a FANTASTIC makeup artist, and was so great to work with. She perfectly created the look I had imagined and made all of my bridesmaids and moms look so beautiful, everyone was raving about how much they loved their makeup. I won't lie, I was a little worried about the humidity in Costa Rica and potentially sweating everything off by the end of the night, but girl, she must have some magical secret because my face stayed glowing and not one smudge throughout the entire day, tears and all. She uses quality products, and was very thorough making sure everything was clean, sanitized and safe.
Tricia went above and beyond for us. She is a genuinely kind person, and we had so much fun hanging out with her all morning while getting ready. There was even a moment where our housekeeper stopped by and we wanted to communicate with her, but none of us spoke Spanish, so Tricia gladly stepped in and translated for us. It was so sweet and we were so grateful to have her there.

She’s amazing!

I decided to hire Tricia after reading lots of positive reviews from others, and was so happy and relieved that I chose her for my wedding day makeup. Tricia was prompt with all of our communications, punctual, listened to and incorporated the feedback I gave after the trial session, and made me feel absolutely beautiful on my wedding day! She also just has the best calming energy about her—she’s a true gem! The bridesmaids and mothers who had their makeup done were singing her praises all day long. By the end of the night, my makeup still looked perfect—which is saying a lot because Costa Rica in July is steamy and I tend to sweat easily. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing. Tricia is the best!!! -

Tricia is an absolute dream!! I strongly recommend hiring her as a make up artist for your wedding day or any event if you have the chance. She’s incredibly talented in every way - she knows what’s going to complement your face, what’s going to photograph well, and how to make it last all night long.
She had me send a photo of how I usually do my make up and some inspiration photos and did a great job translating those photos to something that would look great on my face while still helping me look like myself.
I felt incredibly beautiful on my wedding day and my make up lasted through everything - through tears at the ceremony, lots of hugs (didn’t rub off on anyone’s clothes!), through the heat, wind, everything!
Tricia has an amazing presence as well. I loved having her around on my wedding day. She’s sweet, calming, easy to talk to, and an amazing person over all! -

Tricia was super flexible and responsive! My husband and I decided to elope in Costa Rica this winter so I wasn’t looking for anything elaborate and didn’t need makeup for anyone but myself. Can I give 1000 stars?! Seriously Tricia will have you and your bride squad looking drop dead gorgeous on your big day! I got the pleasure of working with Tricia 3 times (I did 2 trials and then the big day cause I'm a little crazy).
She is so professional, talented, kind and funny! You will love hanging out with her. Also I have gotten my makeup done professionally many, many times and I have to say Tricia is the best I've ever worked with! She knows how to apply juuuust the right amount of makeup so you look GLAM but not tooo much so you look like a cakey clown face. I think the pictures speak for themselves. I thought finding a good makeup artist in Costa Rica would be a challenge but once I met Tricia it was a breeze because I really trusted her. Tricia was suggested to me by my planner and she was one of the first vendors that I booked and I am so happy that I did! Tricia was very responsive and professional. On the wedding day, Tricia did makeup for nine ladies, including myself, bridesmaids and 3 moms. She stayed ahead of schedule, which is hard to do with that many women! Everyone looked flawless, but natural and like themselves all at the same time. Tricia was also so much fun to be around on the wedding day, which can be chaotic and stressful. Having her do my makeup was one of the more relaxing and calm moments of the day. She is super chill and just made everyone feel good! I highly recommend Tricia! -

Tricia was amazing! From the minute she replied to my inquiry I felt confident in having her be apart of our wedding experience. I had been following her on Instagram for quite some time before the wedding and knew that I loved her style and wanted her as a make-up artist. She is very professional and great at making you feel comfortable. Getting your make-up done can be tedious, but I enjoyed every minute with her and the time flew by. Above all else, the most important part - my make-up was perfect right till the end of the night when I reluctantly washed it off before bed. Not a single flaw despite the laughing, the crying, the dancing and the sweating. I don't know how she does it, but I'm glad she did. Also, it didn't feel heavy at all. Thank you!! -

Tricia is both very professional and personable. And both are exactly what you need for your big day. When deciding on which make-up artist, several factors were considered. Her responsiveness, images of clients on Instagram as well as testimonials of satisfied clients are what sealed the deal for me. What impressed me about Tricia is her attention to the details from the very start. She doesn’t use a cookie cutter approach to your make-up application. She will ask many questions about the style you want and she will ask you send her pictures of looks that you like. Tricia truly wants you to be happy and satisfied and will alter anything you ask. She perfectly captured the look I had in mind without making me look overdone. Which was the only ask my fiancé had of me for our wedding day. As I walked down the aisle, my fiancé cried when he first saw me and said he was blown away by how beautiful I looked at our wedding. I feel very blessed to have found her. -

Tricia is the best makeup artist in Costa Rica! Once you decide on a date, I suggest contacting Tricia immediately to book her services, you will not regret it! I was fortunate enough to come to Costa Rica for engagement pictures months before my wedding and I booked a makeup trial with Tricia for this day. She asked me to send her a few pictures of what I was looking for (I actually sent her my entire Pinterest board) and she did an excellent job, I knew I made the right decision for my wedding day.
On my wedding day she had 7 people to do makeup for. She contacted me a few weeks in advance to set up a schedule and asked to have each girl send in pictures of what they would like. I was so impressed she was this organized and detailed, I knew everyone’s makeup was going to be great! My mom kept asking if she knew how to do makeup on ‘an old lady’s skin’ and my mom loved her makeup AND Tricia even convinced her to do lashes which made my mom feel 20 years younger! I knew I was going to cry during my first look and she even stayed a little longer to help touch up my makeup. Tricia, you are a rockstar and I am so thankful you were my makeup artist on my special day! Thank you!

Tricia did make up for myself and my bridal party in Tamarindo, CR, and I am so glad she did! A year before my wedding we had a trial where I was completely sun burnt (total tomato face), and she gave me great advice on how to avoid this from happening on my big day. Needless to say, I took that advice and had another trial with her several days before my wedding, which we agreed was a night and day difference. She was so fun, kind and totally got the beachy natural look I was going for. If we hadn’t had that initial trial, I might not have realized how important it was to really protect my skin from the strong Costa Rican sun in the days leading up to my wedding!
Tricia was very organized and got our schedule together well in advance. She had all the tools needed for me and my girls to get either a natural glow or total glam. I liked that Tricia was excited to experiment with my own make up and skin care I used from home, which shows she’s always looking for the best products for her clients.
I would recommend Tricia to anyone again in a heart beat. She had such a chill vibe and know’s how to make a bride feel comfortable and beautiful! -

I decided to do a destination wedding in a pandemic and finding the right team to make my dream come true was not the easiest task. Finding a make-up artist Ive never met on my wedding day, not to mention a make up artist that had experience with black skin was a bit concerning . The resort Secrets Papagayo told me that Tricia was a favorite at the resort. I trusted their guidance and it was one of the best choices I've ever made. Tricia was sooo patient and sooo kind. I even had a mini break down while getting my make up done and she helped me feel at ease. We even did a trial run and she was completely receptive to my wants.
