We went on a mansion tour in April 2016 with my grandma who lives in Bluffton. My, now husband, is a Social Studies teacher and was captivated by the history of the plantation. He looked at me and said, “If we get married, I’d love to have the reception here.” Two months later on June 26th 2016 we got engaged and on July 3rd we paid our deposit for June 30th 2018!
Our two contacts for our event, Kirstin and Gina, have been nothing but helpful, responsive and excited for us as we planned our Rose Hill wedding! They were always available via email and phone and helped so much throughout the entire weekend, being accessible at the mansion to assist or handle anything we needed in the moment.
Over our two year engagement we visited the mansion on three occasions, first with our florist, then with our photographer and finally to bury bourbon on the property in hopes of having nice weather on our special day… and it worked! We had bright sunshine and a beautiful sunset until the party ended and our guests went home for the night. We were also blessed with beautiful weather on Friday at the rehearsal dinner and Sunday at the send off brunch, both also at Rose Hill.
We can’t thank the White family enough for their permission to get married at their home and for their kindness and hospitality throughout the two years we planned our wedding. They are two of the most wonderful people.
What started with a tour and tea two years ago turned into the start of our lives together. We can’t say enough good things about Rose Hill and hope you love it too!

We were married at Rose Hill Mansion on May 12, 2018 and it couldn't have been more perfect. The property and the mansion were absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I swear, I'm still dreaming about the Spanish moss dangling above our dance floor. We utilized the front steps for our ceremony, used the cottage to get ready in, the back patio and inside the first floor for the cocktail hour, and had a large tent and dance floor set up in the front lawn for the reception. The mansion's grounds were stunning and turned out to be exactly what we envisioned. Gina and the rest of the staff at the mansion were beyond helpful and accommodating during the months leading up to and during our big weekend. We really appreciated all of their help. I have nothing but good things to say about Rose Hill and would HIGHLY recommend it as a wedding venue. -

We got married on March 17th at the Rose Hill Mansion and everything was absolutely perfect!! I would highly recommend this location as the grounds are breathtaking and the employees were very professional & responsive to my questions. We plan to revisit the mansion on our anniversaries since this is a very special place for us. -

Rose Hill Mansion is the perfect setting for any event. The staff is very accommodating and makes planning a visit so easy. To celebrate the season, a group of 68 club members recently gathered here on a sunny December morning in the Lowcountry for a holiday decorated tour and luncheon. What a wonderful experience! The Plantation House is a living museum. We felt at home and enjoyed not only the informative history shared, but a delicious menu of Ms. Pat's recipes. They sure know how to entertain in style. This is a five star venue with warm hospitality.

I had the absolute privilege of having my wedding at the beautiful Rose Hill Mansion. The venue was beyond perfect and had everything we wanted for our day. Other than the sheer beauty of the mansion/grounds, the staff made everything a breeze. From the the initial meeting to tour the venue, booking it, down to the details in the weeks leading up to our wedding, I couldn't have asked for a better staff. They went above and beyond as to even send emails throughout the year checking up on me and our plans, the day before while checking out the event rentals set up to ensure everything was as requested and even came by the cottage the morning of while getting ready to give some encouraging words and again, make sure we were all set to walk that beautiful brick aisle. I would advise anyone who loves the Lowcountry charm and an outdoor venue to check out Rose Hill! -

If you’re dreaming of a southern fairytale wedding, look no further than Rose Hill Mansion!!! My husband (still feels weird to write that!) and I could not have asked for a better venue. The staff at Rose Hill is incredible, and they were an absolute pleasure to work with. I worked primarily with Cynthia, and found her to be kind, responsive, and organized. On our wedding day everyone at Rose Hill was so welcoming to our guests that several of my friends and family made a point of complimenting me on the “southern hospitality” at our venue. As far as the venue itself goes, it is absolutely stunning. It really does look like a picture out of a storybook. Do yourself a favor and get married at Rose Hill Mansion! -

Our daughter's wedding at Rose Hill was a dream come true! It was a fairy tale event made possible by one of the most beautiful venues we have seen. Our guests commented many times that it might have been the most beautiful, romantic wedding they had ever attended...and this would include their own children. Cynthia was there for us from the first phone call I made. She answered all my questions and gave us valuable information on local vendors. I really can't put into words how wonderful this event was. Again...a dream come true. -

I enjoyed the tour and tea with a group of retired ladies. The mansion is lovely as are the grounds. Our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining and the food was delicious. The feedback from everyone has been very positive. We all enjoyed the afternoon very much. This would be a beautiful place for celebrations of any kind, but it would be especially lovely for a wedding. The old moss-draped oaks surrounding the mansion make a stunning backdrop and It is just as beautiful inside. Whether planning a wedding or not, it is worth a visit! -

If you want a venue with wow factor, this is it! The property is gorgeous and we were able to utilize all of it. We have the bottom of the house for cocktail hour, which is decorated from the civil war era. The Live Oaks with the Spanish Moss, make for such a picturesque scenery. The only stressful part about this venue location is, depending on the size of your wedding, is having to basically build the venue and rent everything. But, it was well worth it in my opinion, getting a blank slate to work with! -

Rose Hill Mansion is the most beautiful venue to get married at in the Lowcountry SC region. If you are looking for true southern elegance then Rose Hill Mansion is it. The owner, Robin has done an amazing job at keeping the Mansion true to its roots and the grounds are immaculate! You must visit and tour the Mansion to get a true feel of its beauty! -

Problems encountered from the day after we signed the contract and paid the deposit. Working with this venue was extremely difficult. We asked questions before signing the contract but did not ask for any special concessions. The staff changed every few months and with each new representative we were given additional rules to follow that were not in the contract. Each representative told us the owners did not like the terms of the original contract but they would “try to honor it.” Several vendors expressed concern with the venue due to problems they encountered. With so many red flags, we reserved a backup venue worried up until the day of the wedding whether they would in fact honor the contract. Our contract stated use of the venue the evening prior to the wedding for rehearsal and setup. The owner very reluctantly allowed a rehearsal, stipulating outside only even though there was a 75% chance of severe thunderstorms for the wedding, and we were not permitted to do any setup. Beside contract issues, the paint on the house was peeling badly, bush trimmings were left on the lawn and a large trench was dug up around the pool and garden patio. Even with the poor exterior maintenance, the venue was breathtaking and we do compliment the actual staff on hand the day of the wedding, they were extremely gracious. Sad for us, management/ownership problems tainted an otherwise perfect event. -
