Mandy is the best. Hands down.
Her instagram is a great reflection of her work, so definitely take a look there!
More importantly, what set Mandy apart was her sparkling personality! She was incredible to work with from start to finish - she made my husband and I feel like friends and supplied us with plenty of laughs along the way.
I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend working with Mandy if you want incredible photos and to have a great time! -

Jennee Sent on 03/02/2017Mandy was definitely our favorite of all our wedding vendors. She helped our day run so smoothly and made picture taking so much fun. A lot of the itimate shots during our first look I didn't even know she was there. She coached us through some of the poses shots and made it go by so effortlessly so we could get back and enjoy our reception and cocktail hour. Not to mention Mandy is just an awesome person to be around and will make you feel like you've been friends for years. highly highly recommend her for any event! I know I will be using her again for future family shots. Her pricing is also very affordable for the service you get from her. She will go above and beyond for your special day! You can tell she lives her job and it really shows in her work. She captured every little detail of our day. Love her! -

I could probably write a book about Mandy after all that she has done for me, but I'll try to keep it short and sweet :) I can hardly find the words to express my gratitude towards Mandy. She is absolutely exceptional in every way! She was there for my husband and I through each and every step- from the very first meeting to the days/weeks following our wedding. When I first contacted Mandy through WeddingWire, she got back to me within minutes (For me, this was a great first impression). Anytime I had a question, Mandy was ready and willing to help. I feel very fortunate to have found her and I would recommend her to anyone in a heart beat! -If I were you, stop your hunt for a photographer here! You've found a gem. If she is available- snag her! You won't regret it. Mandy's work is flawless and she is extremely talented at her craft. I have never met a photographer so focused on each and every detail of the photos she takes. She goes above and beyond to make sure every photo has the perfect lighting, background, content, etc. What I loved most about working with Mandy-- her ability to make you feel comfortable around the camera. She is so easy going and doesn't make you feel like you're posing for glamor shots in the mall (I took it back to the 90's with that one!), but instead, you're enjoying time with your significant other and a really awesome gal. Thank you for everything Mandy- My hat is off to you! -
User2152411 Sent on 05/29/2015We recently had our children's pictures done by Mandy and she is delightful! Sweet as can be, the patience of a saint (our 2 year old was in meltdown mode the entire session), and extremely talented. She has a great eye for what makes a great picture and wasn't afraid to share the candid/screaming kid shots with us in addition to the well-posed ones.
Her pricing is great for the time and devotion she gives you, and she is amazing with the little ones! The turn around time to get the pictures was excellent as well.
We're thrilled with how our session turned out, and will be booking her for our wedding as well. I highly, highly recommend her! -
User2195308 Sent on 06/24/2015If you want to see staged photos with uncomfortable seating arrangements or awkwardly placed hands then Mandy Ford is NOT your photographer. BUT...if you want candid and true memories captured for a lifetime then don't waste another second looking for a different one. You're in luck...she's right here in the Reno/Tahoe area!
When I look at the photographs that hang on my walls or my profile picture on FB I'm surrounded by memories. It's usually their smiles....their real ones however, not the "say cheese" type but their laughter, giggles, and pure orneriness that get me every time. Occasionally it's their serious, intrigued, and inquisitive looks....some of which I don't notice in day to day moments but when caught on camera I see expressions that I missed in that moment and it brings a whole new meaning to that memory as if life were being played in slow motion rather than at the speed of light.
Mandy has a gift for letting you and your family interact and be yourselves while she is there to capture the pure joy, chaos, happy tears, and every emotion in between. She somehow, even on a child's grumpiest day can make those images perfect. She will jump around, distract and make it seem like time simply stops and in those moments she captures pure perfection. I cannot give a more perfect review for how she has handled our photo sessions to her prompt replies and correct picture orders. She truly is amazing!
Just remember...for every moment you wait, your belly gets a little bigger, your child a little older, your proposal or wedding a little closer. Call immediately to schedule your pregnancy/family/birth/engagement/wedding, or lifestyle shoot and let her capture YOUR perfect candid moments! I promise you won't be disappointed! -
User2152140 Sent on 05/28/2015For the quality of work she does (which is beyond outstanding) you will not find a more reasonably priced photographer out there. She is amazing at making you feel comfortable in front of the camera to the point where each and every one of your pictures show you beaming with confidence. Don't waste your time researching any other photographers, I promise you that if you go with Mandy Ford Photography you will not be disappointed. I've seen her work from weddings to baby/new born/pregnancy pictures, engagement pictures, senior pictures she does it all and is very good at all of it. Once again if you need pictures for any occasion and don't want to be disappointed then this is your girl!!!
