Kristin was the most amazing makeup artist and friend we could ask for during my sister's wedding a few months ago in October. She was referred to us by my sister's friend- and she promptly set up a trial at her home for a FULL face of makeup for the bride to give her an idea of what it would be like on the day. She was so funny and personable - it put everyone's nerves at ease, made us laugh - including my mother and of course the bride. Needless to say the work was phenomenal - she took such care and attention to the smallest details - took her time and didn't rush at all- matching colors to jewelry, asking the bride her preferences while providing offering professional opinion and input. She also did my makeup as well as my mom's ( I decided to have mine done last minute and she was completely flexible). The fact that this was an Indian wedding and she was able to apply all of the traditional jewelry and adornments and pull it off is truly commendable. Per partner in crime, Noel, did our hair, and we couldn't have been happier with her also. My makeup and look was phenomenal and I have never looked and felt more beautiful than I did that day! I'm a New Yorker and there are a world of makeup artists in the city-however I will only hire Kristin for my own wedding - she is simply the best-PERIOD!

Makeup Luxe did an amazing job for my wedding in November. Kristen is a natural when it comes to makeup and we all looked flawless. My bridesmaids all agreed it was the best make-up they have ever had done! Noelle was also amazing with all of our up-dos and she is extremely creative!! Our hair and makeup lasted all night and I highly recommend Makeup Luxe for a one stop shop for your hair and makeup for any occasion! Thank you for making me gorgeous on the most memorable day of my life!!!

Kristin was a true professional and a master of her craft. Her talents exceeded my expectations. From consultation to the day of my wedding she was accommodating and companionable. She answered my countless emails, phone calls, and texts quickly. Her meticulous attention to detail ensured my day went flawlessly. She created a relaxed, fun environment for my bridesmaids and myself. The vendors she recommended were top notch as well. Kristin was so professional and amazing! I called her last minute she was actually heading to an event at the time but she really wanted to help me and made the time for me :) .. I was a little scared being ethnic but My make up was incredible I didn't even tell her what I wanted but she knew what to on my face . She just asked me what I was wearing for my event and she did her magic everybody loved my make up . And of course I loved her so much I used her two days later for another event that I had. I truly recommend her to anybody :). She's the best!!

I hired Makeup Luxe, Kristin for Makeup and Noelle for Hair for myself and my Bridal Party on 10/3/15. It was an excellent decision. It was so nice for all of us to not have to worry about packing all our makeup and hair products to get ourselves ready. We trusted two very knowledgeable professionals and it made all the difference. It's easy to make 20 years old look beautiful but Kristin handled my 43 yr old skin expertly. I was so pleased with my makeup that I literally didn't wash my face until about 3pm the next day. I know that's bad for your skin but the makeup was way too good to take off. lol. I should note that before being referred to Makeup Luxe I had a trial at a Benefit store and it was an absolute disaster. They don't employ makeup artists with even a fraction of the experience that Kristin has and it shows. In the first 5 mins of my trial with Kristin, I knew that she knew exactly what she was doing.

Kristin at Makeup Luxe was the MVP of my wedding! Not only is she extremely talented, sweet, and professional, she kept me and my mother sane and helped out every which way she could. From the second we met at my trial, it was obvious to me that she was a total expert. On the day of the wedding, Kristin was prompt and did an amazing job on me, my mother, and my maid of honor. (My father was mesmerized at how gorgeous my mother looked!) I had arranged for another makeup artist at first, but she really was just far too inexperienced (and I had an allergic reaction after my trial). I had the extended package from Kristin (totally worth it considering how much she helped out), so she was with me from 7am until noon. She did such a fabulous job though, we barely needed touching up! She was helpful in other ways than makeup too -- she held my mother's purse during the ceremony! She helped me move out of my hotel room the morning of the wedding! (My mother has called me twice since the wedding -- two days ago -- to tell me how fabulous Kristin was and what a great find she was.) I am not the most confident person in my outward appearance, but Kristin made me look and feel positively stunning. I just can't say enough good things about her!

Kristin and Noelle are the perfect hair and makeup team for any special event! They are both extremely professional, responsive, flexible and punctual. Most importantly, they are amazing with hair and makeup! They made EVERYONE in my bridal party look absolutely stunning for my wedding. The makeup and hair lasted all day and night and was done beautifully, exactly as each woman/girl wanted! I have already recommended them to friends and would not hesitate to continue to do so! Kristen was phenominal, she made me look beautiful and I had nothing but compliments all night !!
I did a trial with her as well before the wedding and I would suggest that to anyone to do. This way
I was comfortable with her already on my wedding day and knew that she would make me look great.

This is the best service I could have asked for both Noelle and Kristin were able to accommodate every change I needed, helped with difficult bridesmaids I had, professional, fun, reliable, and made my day that much more special-- I would recommend them for anything, and will continue to use the service in the future for any special day I have. I was having my wedding in NJ even though I didn't live in the state and they were so accommodating with times and days to make sure that I could get down there for my trial. The quality of hair and makeup that I had done was beyond what I expected - it was perfect. They both listened to every question, suggestion or concern I had and made sure to address each one. On such an important day of my life, I couldn't have put myself in better hands. It went off without a hitch and I could not have been more ecstatic with how my hair and makeup turned out. I recently got married on 2/21/14 and used Makeup Luxe for hair and makeup. I contacted Kristin many months before my wedding date to schedule a trial. She happened to be on vacation but even though she was away, she took time from her vacation to speak to me about my hair and makeup vision. From the start Kristin was honest with me and was always available to talk or email with any concerns I had. Her responsiveness is amazing! I had my makeup trial with Celeste and my hair trial with Tara. Both are experts at their craft. I knew that day that I did not want to look any further and booked them right away. In the months in between my trial and wedding day, Kristin would email me to see how I was doing. A couple of weeks before my day, I started to panic, not sure if I should go with an up-do or half up, half down style. I quickly contacted Tara and Kristin, both were supportive and understanding. I scheduled a second trial with Tara just to calm my nerves. She did an even better style than our first trial. I felt a hundred times better. On the day of, both ladies arrived on time and were extremely friendly and professional with all my bridesmaids. They even helped calm my wedding jitters! I looked and felt absolutely amazing! I am so glad I had Tara and Celeste at my side on the day of, I could not have asked for a better look and feel. Thanks again for making myself and bridal party feel and look amazing!

I first met Kristin when she was hired to do my best friend's wedding. As soon as I got engaged, I knew exactly who to call to book for make-up. I couldn't have been happier with how everyone's make-up came out. My mother's make-up was a little tricky because she never really wears much besides blush, and Kristin made her look AMAZING but in the most natural way. She was even helpful with the hair styling even though I did not contract her services for hair. Of all the wedding services and arrangements I have to say this was the thing I worried about the least, because I knew I was getting the best.

Where do I begin?!? Kristin did my makeup for my wedding, and all I can say is that her work is ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! The most important day of my life, of course I wanted to look breathtaking and flawless-that's exactly how Kristin made me LOOK and FEEL. She is beyond talented. My eye make up was unbelievable, she brought out cheekbones I never knew I had and just overall made me look like a flawless princess. All my friends & family kept saying to me all night at my wedding was, "you look like barbie." Seriously, all you brides and ladies that want to look and feel absolutely beautiful, she is your girl! Since my wedding I have used Kristin for special occasions, like my cousins wedding, etc. and will continue to do so for other occasions like baby christening, brothers future wedding, New Year's Eve, etc. She is easy to work with, listens to you and her talent is outstanding! She is my go to girl! P.s she did my moms and maid of honors makeup too, she made them look like Goddess's and they loved her! Also, God only knows how emotional I was on my wedding day and she was the perfect dose of calm and fun! From the day I met Kristin for my makeup trial.. I knew this was going to be the makeup artist I would go with for my wedding.. we talk endlessly for two hours while she did my trial.. which came out beautifully! She made me feel very at ease and quickly understood exactly what I wanted.

She did the makeup of myself, my entire bridal party, my mother and my two aunts. Everyone raved about the work she did! Everyone said they have never felt more beautiful!

She did such an amazing job my sister who is getting married November of 2014 is going to use her services as well! I cannot rave enough!

Kristin is a phenomenal makeup artist. I looked and felt fabulous on my wedding day and so did all of my bridal party. We used Kristin for my sister's wedding and she did an unbelievable job, so when I got engaged I knew who to go to for hair and makeup!Kristin uses amazing products, is very creative, is extremley organized (had a whole schedule before the wedding date) ,personable and very responsive (she always responded to any questions within a few hours). She made me look exactly what I wanted to look like on my wedding day! Noelle did my hair and she did a fantastic job! They work amazing as a team. I received numerous compliements throughout the wedding, as well as after when people took a look at pictures. Both hair and makeup stayed the entire night! They also did our entire bridal party and we had a great time getting ready! I would def reccomend their services to anyone who is looking!

I used Makeup Luxe for my wedding and was extremely happy with the results. I was a non-traditional bride and was concerned that perhaps “wedding” makeup artists wouldn’t understand my vision. I spoke to Kristin and we set up a trial, we spoke briefly about the wedding, the style, and the colors. Kristen WOW-ed me! She nailed the look I was going for! I received a million complements on my hair and make up that day, I felt beautiful. Speaking of hair, Kristin also hooked me up with a stylist and before that I had tried so many others, Tara who was my hair stylist through Makeup Luxe totally blew my mind! I had tried other hairstylists and nobody could get it right, so I figured it just wasn’t possible. I liked my trail with Tara but the day of the wedding I showed her a picture of what I really wanted that nobody was able to figure out how to do and just like that I had the hair I envisioned! Seriously I have never had such a positive experience with two awesome ladies. They ROCKED me out for my wedding and it was AWESOME!
I would definitely recommend Makeup Luxe for any special occasion.

I first heard about Kristin and Makeup Luxe from a friend who had booked with Kristin for her wedding a few years before. I had never heard someone talk so highly of a vendor (any vendor) so I immediately thought I needed to talk to this makeup artist! I am SO happy I listened and went with Kristin. I can not say enough about how incredible Kristin was during the entire process of booking the wedding and the day of! Kristin is so easy to work with, she schedules everyone's makeup (and hair) needs, she makes sure everything runs smoothly. On top of the fact that she is insanely talented and makes everyone GORGEOUS, she is also hilarious and awesome, we all (my girls included, the MOG and a few family friends) were raving about how much fun we had while getting ready with Kristin. Kristin recommended Noelle for hair and she was equally as talented and amazing. They both made us all look beautiful and perfect for my wedding! If you're looking for someone to do your makeup for any event (Kristin did mine for my shower also, which was our trial, I've never had so many compliments!) or if you already have someone, I say switch over to Kristin at Makeup Luxe!! I can be picky and Kristin (makeup) and Tara (hair) did an amazing, beautiful job for my wedding! We received tons of compliments on their work. I really think the makeup and hair were a huge part of what made my photos look good and therefore a better value all around. I should share that after my first trial, I knew she had done a good job but I wasn't sure if we had the makeup "look" that I really wanted, as it was hard for me to convey what I wanted because I don't have a lot of experience with makeup. Kristin took the time to email back and forth (I live in another state) with example pictures and discussion. During this process, she carefully walked the line between being receptive to my opinions while providing honest expertise about what it sounded like I really wanted and what would look good on me, in photos, etc. She also worked with my limited travel schedule to then do a second trial, where she showed her responsiveness and versatility. At that trial and especially on the day of the wedding, she produced the look I wanted. She gave me a romantic while slightly sexy feel that played up my best features. Also, I adored my hair, a creative updo. Both my hair and makeup stayed put all night. Other details: Kristin and Tara were right on time, knowledgeable, and friendly. In fact, Kristin is very outgoing and took the initiative to help my family coordinate some things while we were getting ready, when she could tell we needed the help! Bottom line: On my big day, I could depend on Kristin and Tara to be there, be friendly and helpful, and do fabulous work.

Kristin Paladino is a godsend. I had a trial with her at Nordstrom and signed my contract that night. I just want to say that I am very, very picky about make-up and I'm usually the one doing other peoples make-up for proms, special events, even some weddings! The fact that I booked Kristin the night of my trial, after having other trials before her, tells you something right away.

She is raw talent and cares so much for her clients. She replies quickly to e-mails and arrived on time the day of the wedding. She showed up to our bridal suite with her make-up luggage (literally, lol) and we had a large dining room table for her to set-up all of the goodies. She & Nicole made my bridesmaids, MOB, MOG and I look absolutely gorrrrrrrrrgeous!!!! She gave my girls eyelashes at no charge too which was so sweet! Not only was Kristin my make-up artist, but she was also my hero. I had two little situations that day (limo and venue issues) which Kristin had nothing to do with, but she didn't want me to get upset so she took care of these situations for me!!! Are you kidding me?! Call her the boss because that girl gets sh*t done! I absolutely love her, have already recommended her to my friend whose wedding I will be in next year, and I encourage all of you to do the same. Make-up Luxe is the BEST!!!!!

When you are getting married there is an image that stays in your mind...a certain way you dream of looking like for your wedding day. Kristin has by far exceeded my expectations. The moment i looked in the mirror after my trial, my initial reaction was "YES!". When i looked at myself in the mirror the day of my wedding i had a smile from ear to ear. I had the good fortune to have booked with Makeup Luxe for my recent wedding, for myself as well as for several of my bridesmaids and my mother. There are so many good things to say, I don't even know where to begin! I met with Kristin and Kim for trials several months before the wedding, and from the start I knew that I had made the right choice. These ladies are true artists and are brilliant in their work. They are also extremely professional as well as warm, flexible and friendly. My wedding day got off to a bit of a late start, and Kristin was very understanding. I was super nervous that day, and both ladies were wonderful about helping me to stay calm and manage the nerves. My makeup was flawless, it lasted beautifully all day, and I looked like myself, just enhanced. My husband didn't even realize that I was wearing false eyelashes because it was done so well! I was extremely impressed with how my hair turned out, both at my trials and at the wedding; Kim was able to make my hair do things I never knew it could do, and I had so many compliments all day long. Everyone in the bridal party looked gorgeous and were all very happy. I am so grateful to Kristin and Kim for making me a beautiful bride and for being with me on my special day!!

I was given Kristin & Makeup Luxe's name by a friend who had also used them for their "day of" beauty regimen for their wedding, and am so I glad I called her! From the very beginning of the process, the consult, through the trial run and finally the big day, Kristin and her team went out of their way to not only make me beautiful but to make my day extra-special! I had Kristin (a true artist!) handle my makeup and Noelle (a miracle worker!) take care of the hair, and I was in disbelief at how amazing they made me look. I truly felt like the belle of the ball!

They were very professional, having no problem accommodating the specific wants/needs of my entire bridal party and even my diva mother!!! They helped me put together a day of schedule with timing, and basically took care of all the little details so I didn't have to worry in the least. And I truly feel they went above & beyond, joining in the laughter & having fun with us, and keeping the mood light during a somewhat stressful time! I consider both Kristin & Noelle friends now, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asked, as well as use them again in a heartbeat the next time I need to look magical at a special event! Honestly, I wish I could give 10 starts, but Wedding Wire doesn't let you. I found Kristin just a couple of months before my event, and she worked with me from the second I was in touch with her. She and Tara (who did hair), provided wonderful trials, were open to hearing what I wanted and giving me suggestions, and MOST IMPORTANTLY - made sure I didn't leave unhappy. These two women are so incredibly talented in their work and always give 110%!! I'm very lucky to have had them make me beautiful for my wedding and the events leading up to it! :o)

As a makeup artist myself I knew I wanted the BEST of the best - and from 2 previous referrals I knew Makeup Luxe was the vendor I NEEDED. I must of booked atleast 2 years in advance!

My trial went wonderful and Kristin helped to guide me in using a skincare regimen that allowed my skin to grasp moisture so I'd be a fully hydrated bride (we noticed at the trial my skin was very dry). Kristin even did a second foundation trial to triple check the coverage and wearability on my skin after I started the skincare routine she recommended - what a difference!

I was lucky to have Kristin & Noelle as my Makeup Luxe team, both did a FANTASTIC job on my wedding day.

Kristin was the makeup artist on hand for myself, my mother and my 6 bridesmaids. Noelle did hairstyling for my mother and my 6 bridesmaids as well. Everyone looked flawless. The biggest compliment I received was from my bridesmaids as each came up to me telling me how much they LOVED their hair and makeup .. they were shocked at how much they loved the way they looked and it showed.. and that to me was priceless.

Guests at my wedding came up and commented on my makeup application all night .. this I found to be a huge compliment to Kristen as my family/friends are use to seeing a full-face of makeup of me .. but Kristin topped that!

I let Kristin's artistry take over the makeup application and each person looked different in their own way, yet we all looked like a bridal party. Any picture of a hairstyle that was given to Noelle was duplicated 110% - a total surprise for me because some were difficult looks, there were so many different hair types/lengths and ALL were amazing!!

I have and will continue to recommend Makeup Luxe to all brides!!!

Kristin was absolutely wonderful and I am so happy that she did my makeup for my March wedding. Kristen is absolutely amazing!!! She listens to what her brides want and does beautiful work. I was very specific that I wanted a natural face and to look like myself on my wedding day, and anyone who has seen our wedding pictures has commented on how gorgeous my makeup looked. All of my friends and family members who also had their makeup done were also blown away by Kristen's skills. She was also so organized and made a schedule so that everyone knew what time they would be sitting in her chair. She is friendly and funny and definitely lightened the mood of what is known to be a stressful day. Kristin is highly organized (even helped me put together my makeup/hair/limo timeline for that morning!!!!) I can not even begin to explain how amazing Kristen and her staff were, not only were they professional, but personable to the max!!! Having a large, particular bridal party I knew the make up was going to be a challenge. I will even admit, I was concerned that a mircale had to happen to please everyone. Kristin and Kim were absolutely amazing. They did my makeup and hair for the wedding day and I have never felt more beautiful. I had a vision that reflected a classic 1950's style, and everything from the makeup (which remained flawless all night) and the hair and birdcage veil came out wonderfully. Where do I begin? She is absolutely wonderful, friendly and easy going. I never felt so beautiful. I received compliments all day especially from my husband. She kept in touch with me all the way up to the day of the wedding. I changed what I wanted several times. At the end, she put it all together for me, she listened. The make-up needed no touch ups. It stayed the whole time. It was such a great experience, if she did not have to go I would have had her come to my wedding. :) :) :)

I searched high and low for a makeup artist and it seemed not a single one was listening to what I had to say or what I wanted until I found Makeup Luxe. I am a 28 year old who never wears makeup to begin with and Makeup Luxe understood that I wanted to look natural, like I was wearing nothing and they did it well!!! Kristin is amazing!! She made me and all my bridesmaids look gorgeous! She knows exactly what will look/work best on you and waves her magic wand. All the products Kristin uses are light and airy, however they stay on all day long. My biggest concern was that I'd get clumping on my eyelids - which tends to happen after a couple of hours for me - but after hours of wear of Kristin's application my makeup was still perfect! I don't usually wear a lot of makeup, maybe some eyeliner, shadow and mascara - but after Kristin's magic she might have turned me. <3 !!!

One difference I found with Kristin and some other vendors I looked into was the inclusion of a trial visit and travel. Some vendors include the trial in their fee, Kristin's was an extra cost. Some vendors charge for travel the day of your event, Kristin did not. Kristin was also receptive to what I did and did not like after having my trial....I was very pleased with the final result on my special day!!!! Kristin also referred a hair stylist who was also receptive and willing to make changes even the day of my wedding! Both stylists were great and I would recommend them!

When I first consulted with Kristin...she talked about pink a purple hues with false eyelashes...for pop! Now I must admit while I have had the privilege of knowing Kristin and seeing her amazing work - I was a little nervous. On any given day...at best I wear some blush, mascara and lipgloss. So the notion of pinks, purples and falsies on my face well was a little intimidating. I am a 40 year old bride...so I didn't want to look forced or like I was trying to be a princess.

Needless to say......I not only felt beautiful and amazing on my wedding day but I looked it. My makeup was perfect! Subtle, soft and romantic.....Kristin was amazing. She did the makeup for my entire bridal party and one by one she plucked each of us off ....and one by one each one looked prettier and prettier!
Amazing considering she had me, my 70 yr old mother, my 41 year old Matron of Honor and my 15 year old step daughter - talk about a range of looks and needs!

Kristin is truly talented and I am so grateful that I was able to be the recipient of her talents on the most important day of my life!

I would highly recommend Kristin to any Bride or woman on a special occassion.

Make up Luxe was very reliable and both Kristin and the hairstylist she referred to me, Kim, did a great job at my wedding. The pictures came out beautiful and they offer competitive pricing considering they provide on-location services. In addition to doing the make up and hair for the bride (me), Kristin and Kim also did hair and make up for my mother in law and it was like she lost 10 years in 20 minutes - she looked great.

Prior to my wedding day I did not do a makeup trial... I didn't feel I needed too... Kristin's work online showed me she knew photography, and she knew how to create stunning makeup! The day of my wedding she asked me a couple questions in regards to colors and what I was comfortable with and then painted away~ My makeup lasted all day into the late evening~ Even my photographer asked who did the makeup! I have to now admit... I am a MAKEUP artist as well! I have done weddings for over 12 years working with many lines such as MAC, NARS, and Cle de Peau... I WOULD NOT HAVE TRUSTED ANY OTHER MAKEUP artist to work with me on my wedding day... My standards are very high... Kristin did my make up and my bridal party for my wedding. Everyone looked incredible!!!!! The trial was smooth and she was able to match exactly what I had in mind. All my questions were answered and everything I needed was taken care of with ease. Makeup Luxe was reliable and provided impecable service.

Our wedding was the hottest day of the summer and everyone looked fantastic in the pictures. The right makeup was used and nobody turned out looking cakey or sweaty. I have to say that the eyelashes were one of my favorite parts! There is no way I could have put those things on myself and you did it with such ease!

Kristin and Noelle were absolutely amazing for my wedding day. I found them both to be completely professional and talented. The day went smoothly and all seven of my bridesmaids, my mom and my mother-in-law were very happy with their hair and make-up. I felt that they really took into consideration my preferences and wedding style. They were friendly and chatty during the whole day making it pleasant to work with them.

After finishing my hair, I noticed a few bumpy sections, which I pointed out to Noelle. She promptly sat me back down and worked on it until it was perfect. She was patient and calm the whole time, which is so important when you are aiming for perfection.

I think it's important to mention that I was not interested in getting a hair and make-up trial despite so many people encouraging me to do so. Even though Kristin and Noelle expressed their concerns regarding not getting a trial, they respected my decision in the end and still agreed to do my hair/make-up for my wedding. Turns out, it wasn't necessary b/c I absolutely loved my hair and make-up (brides, follow your gut!).

Overall, I strongly recommend these ladies for your wedding day or any other event you want to feel beautiful for. Thanks again, Makeup Luxe!

Kristin for makeup and Noelle for hair, both were completely amazing! I had a large group 12 altogether. My friends/family are not shy and they all absolutely loved their hair and makeup, which was extremely important to me. The girls ranged in age from 16 – 60 and all have different styles. So everyone wanted something different, Kristen and Noelle made it happen. I would definitely suggest bringing pictures. We got ready VERY early and my wedding wasn’t over until 12am. I have pictures hanging out at the hotel bar after and you would never know it had been 12+ hours since our hair and makeup was done. I went for several hair and makeup trails before meeting with Kristin and her team, they were hands down the BEST. I live on Long Island so all of my friends loved making fun of me for having to get a team from NJ BUT they all agreed it was totally worth it. I normally wear makeup but nothing fancy, I wanted to look like myself but better of course!! She nailed it!! Noelle is AMAZING I can’t say enough good things about her and the job she did on my hair!!LOVED HER I was extremely disappointed with my other trails and very frustrated by the time i meet with Noelle. She spent a LONG time with me on my trail (and was happy to do it), she kept playing with it until I was comfortable it was exactly what I wanted. She is a perfectionist and so am I so it was great. Everyone loved my hair, I mean uncles and male cousins were complementing my hair it was pretty funny. My now husband shared our wedding photos with friends from work and again more hair complements from people I have never met. I have heard horror stories about scheduling and hair/makeup making you late for the photographer, you will not have that problem with this team! So in short, they are EXTREMELY talented, professional, nice, calm (very important for that morning), do quality work, really care about you being comfortable on your day and they will make sure YOU LOOK STUNNING! BOOK THEM NOW TRUST ME!

Had my very first bridal make up trial with Make Up Luxe (Noelle and Kristin) today- and as a professional performer who does stage make up on a weekly basis- I was picky and nervous about another brush working on my face... and I was EXTREMELY pleased with the look I walked out with today. Thrilled even- couldn't stop checking myself out actually. Just- over the top thrilled.

Communication in advance through email was both prompt and clear.
Communication about style and idea- day of time line and what the expectations were about contract and deposits were all very clear and professional.

Both MUA and hair stylist sat and discussed the over all look and pictures and any hair accessories before I even sat in the chair. My make up was seamless- she did a wonderful job matching my odd ruddy skin tone and evening it out- gave me a STUNNING lip that was everything I could ask for and my highlight/contour were ON.POINT.
I felt like I was ready to get my dress and go get married- I was thrilled. My hair was absolutely stunning- I got compliments ALL>NIGHT> after we left.

Kristin was amazing to work with at MakeUp Lux! She’s incredibly organized and made me feel at ease when it came to planning hair and makeup. She was incredibly helpful when it came to any questions I had… where to find perfect hair accessories or even what type of facial cleansers, lotions, I should be using for my overly dry skin (which made a huge difference!!!). Jackie did all the hair for the morning of my wedding. In my trial she did an awesome job…when it came to the wedding I was less than thrilled with her professionalism. She misjudged her time and found herself rushing when it came to some of the bridesmaids, my mother, mother-in-law, and my hair which I felt was wrong (especially since we left the most important people to the end). Some of curls in the front of my hair didn’t even last for me to get into my wedding dress. She kept vocalizing how behind she was running and making everyone feel awkward that she was going to be late for work – very unprofessional and provided unnecessary stress the morning of the wedding! Evelyn was our saving grace of the morning! She did an amazing job on my makeup and as far as I’m concerned saved the day! She redid my mother-in-law’s hair after Jackie rushed out. Any bride would be lucky and blessed to have Evelyn by their side. We purchased the extended 3-hour package for makeup and it was worth every penny. Evelyn made me feel like a Movie Star, touching up my makeup between pictures! She’s amazing and incredibly talented!!!

I would go back to Kristin for any advice on skin or hair products or to hire Evelyn for makeup however I would never go back to Jackie for hair! One bad hair do (especially on the morning of my wedding) is enough for me. Thankfully, Kristin was able to refund me and my moms’ for the hair do’s as well as give a partial refund to each of the bridesmaids which was much appreciated!

Kristin Paladino is by far the most unprofessional specimen I have ever dealt with. She performed her hail trial at her home which is completely illegal to begin with. But what really bewildered me is the fact that she did my hair trial at 2:00 in the afternoon while still in her pajamas, unshowered and barefoot and did my makeup while scarfing down chilli. Not sure if a state inspector would say these business conditions are up to par. It was a really bizarre experience.

Although I felt her services were pricey and mediocre at best, I still tipped her and her colleague very generously in cash.

A few months later, my fiance' ended up getting cold feet and canceling our wedding one month prior and I was also 3 months pregnant at the time leaving me in a financial and emotional burden. Completely devastated and heartbroken, I decided to make an announcement on Facebook letting my family and friends know the wedding was off. Literally minutes later, Kristin called me on my cell phone, like a parasitic psycho, to remind me of contract obligations. I was still inconsolable and barley able to speak at the moment of her untimely phone call. Every single one of my vendors had the human decency to cut me some sort of break but Kristin not only didn't offer any breaks, she instead tried to screw me into paying her gratuity which was never worded in the contract and even threatened to take legal action against me 2 weeks prior to the money being due. She harassed me by email multiple times a week until I sent her her check. I have never made any indication that I would not hold up to my end of the contract for her to harass me in the manner that she did. Be very careful upon signing a contract with her because her contract is typed in a vary half assed manner and she will try to use her stupidity to try to get one over on you. She is a greedy heartless person who only cares about herself, and chilli, apparently.
