Donna Rae was a dream to work with, I had been in several weddings in Seattle as a bridesmaid and was always disappointed and felt like other vendors didn't deliver on the bridesmaids - Donna Rae made sure that everyone looked beautiful (the makeup she did on my mom and MIL was amazing) and was so open to editing my makeup on the day of (I decided to change my eyeliner color and eye shadow).
Donna Rae is super easy to communicate with over text and email and made sure we had a schedule down that made my wedding morning super low stress. I can't recommend her services enough and I loved how I looked all night long (my makeup was perfect all night long). -

I want to say 1,000 thank yous to Donna Rae and Victoria, for working with me, my 4 bridesmaids, my Mom and my fiancé’s Mom. I’ve never felt more beautiful!! Outside of some brief tears, I only touched up my under eye makeup once. Everything stayed flawless and my curls held up even when the DJ played some of my favorite songs lol I’d like to highlight Donna Rae’s use of high quality products and her amazing ability to enhance your features, without overshadowing your natural beauty. I do not wear false lashes, but I wanted them for my wedding. She took her time in finding the right lashes and asked my opinion every step of the way. She’s also genuinely kind and easy to talk to! Donna Rae and Victoria made me feel so special on my wedding day! They truly are amazing artists. Donna Rae is a very skilled makeup artist. She makes sure to match the makeup to my skin tone. She even put sparkles in my makeup! I met her at Nordstroms in Bellevue Square where she works at Dior and I knew immediately that she was going to be fabulous. Victoria did wonders to my hair. My hair does not usually corporate but she made it work and my hair stayed in all night long! They both are such amazing artists and I would hire them again and again. They bent over backwards for me and got all of us ready by 11:00am. Everyone looked stunning and the photos are perfect. I am truly grateful for this! They are a blessing to work with! Donna Rae did such a great job with my wedding makeup! I wanted a natural look, and she really delivered. My makeup looked just like it did during the trial, maybe even better. My experience with "Makeup by Donna Rae" was unexpected. At first I thought I would have to sit in a chair--still--for hours and immediately was worried (it's hard for me to sit still). From the moment Donna Rae started her makeup service, she was kind and calming. I immediately felt at ease and relaxed. Then throughout the makeup application she was on point and checked in with me. The final results were stunning! She was curtious and took her time but it also felt like it went so quick! I truly enjoyed my time with both ladies. They were both very welcoming when I came into her home for my trial. We got right to work with what I wanted. They both nailed it with my inspiration pictures that I showed them. Victoria did my hair first and she did a fantastic job with what I wanted. I gave her a few shots on what I ideally wanted for my hair and she made it work out perfectly. I am so grateful to have met Donna Rae for my bridal make up. I had my trial recently and was very nervous since I don't normally wear makeup. She made me feel comfortable, explained each step of her process, and also shared what brand of makeup she used. I told her that I was going for a natural look, and she did a truly amazing job! The makeup was not too heavy and I she helped enhance my face in all the right places, especially the eyes. She also helped me with my eyebrows, was very detailed and careful, and shared helpful tips to better prepare my face for the wedding. I booked Donna Rae and Victoria for my wedding in August 2023. They were both true professionals and skilled in what they do. I was pleased with the communication throughout the process of signing the contract, booking my trial, and everything leading up to the big day. All the verbal communication was also followed with email/texts to help make sure I had the details right in my memory. I am also not a hair and makeup person, so the beauty part of the wedding was the most overwhelming part for me and that is why I appreciated having their expertise. On the wedding day, they were both on time and stuck to our timeline with a good system to complete all the hair and makeup for my sisters, maid of honor, and mother of the groom/bride. My group was happy with all the hair and makeup and appreciative that touch ups were allowed also. I would highly recommend Donna Rae and Victoria if you are looking for two professionals that can ensure you have a smooth process for your hair and makeup. -

Victoria and Donna Rae did an incredible job for our group!
Working with Victoria felt so effortless. She put together the schedule for the hair and make-up order and send out thorough procedural reminders that I could easily forward to my bridal party, which was a huge weight off my shoulders.
Since I was an out-of-town bride, I didn’t have time to do a hair or make-up trial, but Victoria worked with me to assess styles would work for my hair. She was able to create a beautiful up-do based on an inspiration photo and work around my under-cut. The style stayed intact all night, standing up the wind and my dancing (not an easy feat for my hair texture). I was so pleased with the natural glowing looks that Donna Rae was able to provide for all my ladies.
Everyone in the bridal party felt special and taken care of. Each person had a style they suited their personality and looked cohesive. The confidence that radiated from each woman after leaving Victoria and Donna Rae had finished was absolutely priceless. -

Victoria and Donna Rae are fantastic! No need to look further for your hair and makeup team! They are so wonderful to talk with (don’t overlook this part of your wedding planning! You’ll be spending half your day with them!), are the best at their trade, and were very reasonably priced. Everyone looked so amazing, and they really took time to make sure you’re comfortable with the final result. Victoria took a lot of care to discuss my hair type and what was realistic with me. I’m a semi makeup-minimalist in real life, and Donna Rae was able to make me feel like a super model without feeling like my skin was bogged down. Additionally, I have a weird reaction to eye products and she was so gracious to use the off the beaten path product that I’ve found doesn’t cause any issues. -

Victoria and Donna Rae are amazing!! Before the wedding, Victoria helped me figure out the best accessories to put in my hair. Donna Rae made some great recommendations for my skin care routine. We planned to get married in August to avoid rain on our wedding day, but of course it rained anyway… We still held the ceremony outside and afterwards you couldn’t even tell, my hair and makeup held up through water, wind, and dancing into the night. We had such a great experience with Donna Rae and Victoria for my sisters wedding! They followed exactly what people were envisioning and completely blew our expectations! Naturally Perfect
Donna Rae and Victoria are the absolute BEST! As someone who doesn't wear a ton of makeup, I was so worried I would look over done. Donna Rae took my concerns and mastered my look. She made me look polished and elevated, but still me! She nailed the look I wanted. Victoria's hair styling was on point. It was incredibly secure, too. It lasted all day and night without a hair out of place. She truly is a master at her craft. Donna Rae and Victoria are so personable and kind. Don't hesitate - book now!
Donna Rae and Victoria did a beautiful job on my makeup (bride), my mom's (MOB) and my maid of honor! She was prompt, professional, stylish, fun, and my makeup looked EXACTLY like my inspo photos, even though I'd never even done a trial because we came from out of town - I was so impressed! Also it should be said that I was so stressed throwing a pandemic wedding that I forgot to book HMU until a month before (oops!) and Donna Rae came through for me, making time before driving all afternoon and evening to be at ANOTHER wedding across the state. She didn't have to do that I'm sure - and it meant a lot to me that she fit me in. She was completely focused, chatted with me and my bridal party and kept it light and breezy, and finished right on schedule even though my mom was literally an hour late. Made my wedding morning completely stress free, I looked understated and beautiful at my wedding without having to touch up ONCE, and felt listened to and cared for throughout the experience. I honestly couldn't stop looking at myself I felt so beautiful and confident. More importantly, there was absolutely no stress! Donna Rae is a true artist and listens to her clients. Even when they are a perfectionist like myself! She did trail runs for my bodybuilding competition until we knew it was perfect!!! Come show day it was BETTER than all the trial runs and exactly what I wanted!!!! She has years of experience and will make you feel like a model! I had sooooo many compliments from complete strangers on my show day on how amazing my makeup looked! She knows what she’s doing and is incredible at her talent! I highly recommend Donna and Victoria who did an amazing job on my wedding day! My make up and hair turned out just as I imagined it. They listened to what I wanted but also came with great ideas and suggestions. The whole bridal party including my sister and sister in law was happy with the outcome. Excellent from start to finish!
Victoria and Donna Rae were the absolute dream team for my wedding in Ballard, WA. From start to finish, they were professional, honest and accommodating to all of my requests. As someone who grew up with a hair stylist for mom, finding someone to do hair and makeup was an intimidating task, but Victoria and Donna Rae nailed it! They made each one of my bridesmaids and MOB/G look and feel so beautiful.
