I have nothing but good things to say about Seema as both a person and a makeup artist. As a woman of color and someone who rarely wears makeup, I was really anxious about booking a makeup artist for my wedding. From our first conversation to the bridal trial and then the wedding day, Seema was responsive, warm, transparent, flexible, and detail-oriented. She is a true artist who made everyone (bridesmaids, my mom, and my mother-in-law) look beautiful while highlighting each person's unique features. Seema has a calming presence and went above and beyond (even helping us to get dressed in our Indian outfits and providing me with a touch-up kit for later). She cares deeply about her clients and takes time to understand your unique skin type and desired look. For example, I tend to sweat a lot and was concerned about my makeup running and/or looking shiny. To my pleasant surprise, my makeup stayed put and looked fresh throughout the night without feeling heavy or cakey. Book with Seema today. I promise that you won't regret it! -

Best mua ever!
Seema was absolutely phenomena!!! We clicked instantly! She was/is very kind, professional and comforting. She made sure I loved every little detail and if I wanted to tweak something small she was all for it with such a positive attitude! It was so nice to have not only such a great makeup artist but a friend during the stressful times of wedding planning. The bridesmaids and Moms also loved their makeup and kept raving about how sweet and personal she was. Even my photographer commented late during the reception about how my makeup still looked as incredible as when it was first applied. True artistry, I couldn't recommend Seema enough!! -

Seema is the absolute best! I cannot say enough good things about her. She instantly made me feel at ease when we first met. She was thorough in understanding my skin type and gave me recommendations prior to the wedding. Her makeup is absolutely flawless!! She was especially kind to my mom who was very apprehensive to have her makeup done professionally for the wedding. Seema encouraged her to bring her own make up and it made her feel so comfortable. You would be foolish not to hire her for your wedding or any special occasion I highly recommend Seema! -

Amazing Makeup Artist!
Seema did a wonderful job on my makeup for my wedding day! She did makeup for myself, three bridesmaids, and my mom. Seema was proactive about setting up a consultation/trial run prior to my wedding day. She listened to what I wanted, and delivered the perfect light and natural look that I requested. She used high quality makeup and she recommended some products for me to add to my skincare routine. She arrived on time on my wedding day and was very professional. She worked wonderfully with my hair person and photographer to make sure we were on schedule and captured photos. Most importantly everyone’s makeup looked fabulous and lasted the entire night! I highly recommend Seema if you are looking for a makeup artist! -

Not only did she excel in perfecting the soft glam look, but she also went above and beyond to create a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere at her studio for my trial. She also stayed in constant communication leading up to the wedding! Seema is amazing! She does such beautiful work! Seema met with my daughter and I before my daughter’s wedding, to do a trial and really hear what look Audrey was going for. She took time to really listen to what Audrey wanted, added special touches of glam, was so wonderful to work with, and her end result was beautiful! I highly recommend Seema for any special occasion!

Seema is AMAZING! She is so kind & easy to work with and truly passionate about her business. From the trial to my actual wedding day, Seema made sure she was able to capture the look I was going for. She guided me (because I am no makeup expert) and she gave me the exact look I was going for. I felt so beautiful & it really set the tone for the day. OMG! Seema was the most amazing stylist ever. She was polite, professional and so down to earth. She made me, bridesmaids, my mother in law and my grandmother feel so beautiful. They say that you can’t expect a perfect wedding day, but mine was with the help of Seema. We originally met at her home, after my having to unfortunately reschedule repeatedly, which she handled with nothing but grace and kindness. She took her time to make sure she had down exactly what I wanted and adjusted as needed. My 9-year-old daughter - who thinks makeup is ridiculous - even enjoyed the experience of sitting there and giving opinions. Then came the wedding day, a day typically riddled with anxiety, but her skill and calmness brought a peaceful presence to the room. She was efficient and sweet, accommodating, and ensured even my daughter had what she wanted. Even my makeup aficionado best friend took selfies saying she has been in many weddings and never once had liked her makeup until Seema did hers. We were all ready before the time needed, everyone looked *stunning* in photos, and my makeup lasted through wind, hours of photos, and multiple instances of happy tears. I did not even want to take it off when I went to bed because it still looked better than any other. I recommend reaching out to her to see if she has your date available. You have enough things to worry about when planning a wedding, so just get makeup off the list and rest some of those worries by booking her! -

Amazing wedding day makeup
Seema was amazing! She was professional and communicative from when I hired her to the day of the wedding. She was great with accommodating schedules and giving expectations for the day of. I was able to schedule a makeup trail with her and plan a schedule before the wedding. The day of the wedding she was so kind to everyone and the makeup looked amazing! Seema was nothing but amazing on my wedding day. After my initial trial I knew she was who I had to hire because I was still staring at myself in the mirror 8 hours later just in awe of my makeup. On the wedding day she personally introduced herself to every single one of my bridesmaids and mother (I thought that was so pure and special). She had amazing manners with my girls and was beyond patient with everyones tiny little changes. She executed every single request perfectly. Seema is going to take the Richmond makeup wedding scene by storm, she is beyond professional and truly talented in makeup. I am so happy I hired her and wish her nothing but success! -

Seema was the makeup artist for my wedding on October 15th and she was WONDERFUL! She woke up very early to drive to my house to do the makeup for 9 people. I was worried about my makeup for the wedding day as I love a more natural look. Seema did an incredible job of making it look natural, but yet so special and elegant. My bridesmaids and I received complements on our makeup throughout the entire day, and the makeup for our pictures turned out beautiful. I couldn't have been happier. Aside from how fantastic the makeup looked, the experience with Seema was even better. She is so prompt, kind, and so incredibly talented. To put in perspective- I had only met Seema one time before, but we were running late on the wedding day and my entire wedding party, including my parents left the house. We felt comfortable enough with only meeting Seema a couple times to leave her in our house to pack up her stuff while we headed to the church. She is a wonderful person and artist and you will not regret choosing her for your day :) -

Hands down the best !!
From the moment I messaged Seema she was prompt, informative, and listened to exactly what I was looking for and she made it happen. Her wonderful qualities only amplified when I met her in person. She welcomed me into her home when it was time to do my bridal portraits. She was extremely personable and relatable! We talked about working and motherhood and I felt like I was talking to one of my friends. I remember when she first turned me around to see the final look and I was in complete shock by how beautiful my makeup was done. I could’ve kept that makeup on for days too! The next time I saw Seema was when she came to my house for the day of our wedding! I had no worries or stress about any mishaps and not showing up or anything you stress about on your wedding day because I knew with Seema, I would be in good hands. I also loved the fact that she treated my redness in my skin and I’m looking forward to taking a makeup lesson from her! I’m the type of person that sticks with someone that I like and I will definitely call Seema if I need to get my makeup done!!! -

I was in search of a MUA for my wedding kind of last minute (a few months prior to my big day) and Seema was available. I had never had my makeup done professionally so I was a little skeptical. From the minute I began chatting with Seema, all of my worries flew out of the window. She was so kind and professional. She made sure she understood exactly what I was envisioning. We met for a trial a prior to the wedding and took her time making sure she got everything right. She checked in with me multiple times within the few months, weeks, even days before my wedding day. She had to travel a bit for my wedding and she still arrived early, even beat me to the bridal suite! She was almost done with the first bridesmaid by the time I arrived and I was in awe, she looked amazing. All of my girls did! We were crunched for time and she didn’t let that stress her out or mess anything up and she had to 5 girls including me. she also put my moms lashes in for her! She kept her confidence and did an amazing job on everyone! All of my girls looked amazing but she still managed to make my makeup look even better then theirs! It was like she did my makeup as the bride to stand out. Bottom line is…BOOK SEEMA! She was amazing and you cannot go wrong with her!! Thank you so much Seema!! You truly made me feel like an absolutely princess on my wedding day!! 💕 -

Great wedding makeup!
Seema was wonderful to work with on my wedding day. She took all safety measures for covid very seriously and made sure my bridal party and I all felt safe and comfortable while working with her. She was also very punctual even though she had to arrive at 5:30am! I sent Seema some photos of makeup that I liked earlier that week and she completely nailed it. I truly couldn’t have been happier with her finished look. The 3 girls in my bridal party were also blown away by their finishes looks. They looked stunning! -

Seema did my makeup for my wedding and also my mother, sister and sister in law. She is AMAZING!! I NEVER wear makeup, I actually hate it. So I was very very anxious to wear it on my wedding day and she calmed me down lol and made sure I had a natural look. It was so beautiful. As a bride, makeup is very important on your wedding day and she did sooo amazing and made me look beautiful as well as everyone else. She is very patient and a genuine person. Seema was a pleasure to work with! Her work was flawless and my pictures were beautiful! I wish she could do my makeup everyday! I normally do not wear much makeup and didn’t know where to start. Seema did an amazing job on my wedding. Everyone loved her. She was on time, professional, calm, and friendly. Plus VERY talented. My bridesmaids were thrilled. As was I. Plus the mother of the bride and groom loved her. My husband’s mom worked at Sephora and she raves about Seema. That says a lot. I will definitely use Seema in the future anytime I want my make up done. She does airbrush and lashes too and truly understands what you want. My trail with her was for my engagement photos.
