Beautiful Makeup and Unforgettable Energy!

Samar was an absolute joy to work with! She was incredibly kind and communicative, and on my wedding day, she brought such a calm, fun, and uplifting energy. I absolutely loved my makeup, and all my bridesmaids looked stunning. She kept hyping me up, making me feel confident and beautiful as I stepped into my big day.

Amazing Wedding Makeup

Samar is a great makeup artist. She is so sweet and really listens to what you want. I was able to do my trial in 2020 before we had to postpone our wedding reception but she was flexible and available for our new 2021 date. She did a fantastic job of traditional makeup with fake lashes for myself, my mom, and my maid of honor. None of us wear a ton of makeup on a daily basis but we were so happy with her soft makeup and felt beautiful all night long! I would definitely recommend Samar for your wedding makeup needs.

Samar was Fantastic!

Samar was absolutely fantastic! I do not wear much makeup in my everyday life and I was sure to let her know that. We did 2 trials one with airbrush and one with traditional application so I could choose which I would like best. She was sure to ask me what I liked and disliked and was open to my feedback on what I liked or what I wanted to change. She also smartly recommended I bring my own lipstick so that I could reapply throughout the day. I would highly recommend Samar for makeup for your wedding day and honestly any other special occasion you would want professional makeup for. I cannot thank her enough!

Talented Make-up artist!

From the moment I met Samar, I knew she was going to do my make-up for my wedding. She was professional, honest, and made me feel at ease! I knew I wanted a "natural" look for my day and Samar nailed it! The best part was that she didn't make changes without consulting me first. If she felt like a little more eyeliner would make my eyes pop, she would ask before adding it which made me feel like she truly cared about my opinion. My skin felt great the entire day, even though it was 80 degrees out! Samar was calm and my saving grace the morning of my wedding day...she really is the best! So glad I chose her!

Totally and Completely Wonderful!

Samar is hands down one of the best people I have met! I first met her when she did our makeup for my best friend's wedding and she was awesome. I hired her for my wedding and from the trial to the big day, she was super friendly, professional, and just awesome! She was great with the communication, explaining everything clearly and making sure I had no questions and understood everything. She nailed the look I was going for, and make my bridesmaids feel comfortable. She did a great job going glam for me and natural for my bridesmaids and the moms. Her prices for airbrush makeup were cheaper than the quotes I had gotten from a few other salons for regular makeup. I HIGHLY recommend her !!

I cannot say enough about Samar and how wonderful it was to work with her. From the minute we met at my trial I knew that I had found the perfect artist for my wedding day. She immediately puts you at ease, and has an immense talent for making you look like the best version of yourself. Samar was on time, ready to go, and brought the right energy needed for a fun and stress free wedding morning. All of my bridal party loved their looks and are now actively trying to create occasions just to have Samar work her magic on us again. Samar was great! She is very responsive, from the first e-mail I sent her inquiring about her services to day-of details. We did a trial, but I decided to change a few details last minute and Samar made it happen. My mom looked great as well, she doesn't wear much makeup and looked very tired, but Samar made her look bright eyed!

We loved working with Samar. She took care of makeup for myself, my three bridesmaids, my mother and mother-in-law. Some of us wanted a more dramatic look while others wanted something simpler. Samar made all of us look stunning. Our venue didn't have the best conditions, but she made the best of it. She's incredibly easy to talk to, which makes the process all the more fun. I cannot recommend Samar enough.

I met Samar when she did my make up for my sisters wedding and she did a phenomenal job on al the bridesmaids including my sister (the bride). She is the sweetest! Shes amazing at what she does and gives you the exact look you want or better. Two years later, I got engagaed and she was the first and only person I wanted to do my make up and I was lucky to have her be a part of my special day. I highly recommend her - she communicates well, great to work with, and does an awesome job. She listens and give you feedback on the look you want. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and I have Samar to thank for that!!

Not only is Samar INCREDIBLE at what she does, she was extremely helpful in the months leading up to the wedding. She was always easy to get in touch with and responded to emails within an hour or two. She really listened to what look I was going for and did it perfectly on the day of the wedding.

Samar was incredible! She made me feel so beautiful for my wedding day. She was perfectly on time and always responded quickly throughout the planning process. The airbrush and eyelashes felt so light and natural. Even two other people who didn’t get their makeup done decided to get eyelashes last minute because we all had such great things to say about them! Samar made me feel comfortable immediately and helped me get the exact look I was hoping for. I wish I was getting married every day so I have an excuse for Samar to keep doing my makeup!!

Samar was amazing - everyone in my wedding was so pleased with what she did! She arrived promptly, was super nice and professional and just did a great job. I don't usually wear a lot of makeup and she was able to make my makeup look natural and beautiful. She was open to using some products that I brought given some sensitivities with eye makeup. We got married on a super hot day and the makeup (airbrush) last ALL day and night. I would HIGHLY recommend her!!!

Samar was amazing! I could not have asked for a better experience. Not only was she incredibly responsive, but she was able to create the exact look that I always dreamed of for my wedding. Samar is very talented, so incredibly sweet and easy to talk to! But beyond that she will listen and adjust what you need so you still feel like you. I loved my soft boho look she created for my outdoor wedding. I would recommend her over and over again.

Samar was absolutely fantastic! She did such an amazing job on the makeup for my wedding party, including for my mother who is hard to trust others with her makeup! (My mom loved her makeup!). Samar was so flexible. I didn't love the color of my eye shadow day of, and she quick fixed it with a color I loved! She did such an amazing job on my makeup, I am so lucky to have her as my makeup artist! Hire Samar, you'll be glad you did! :)

I am so glad that I decided to get my makeup done for my wedding with Samar! I originally wanted to do my own makeup but then when I thought about how nervous I'd be the day of, I called Samar and set up a trial. She listened to what I wanted and we came up with the perfect look. She is very patient too! I called her the week of the wedding to see if she could squeeze my mother-in-law in for makeup and she was very accommodating with the last minute change. We had a tighter timeline and she made it work! She did a great job with making sure I stayed calm and relaxed during the morning! Thank you for everything Samar! I felt beautiful for my big day.

I consider myself a lucky bride, not only because I got to marry my best friend, but because I got to spend my day with vendors who I genuinely loved being around. As soon as I met Samar, I knew we would hit it off. She is not only the most warm-hearted, kindest person who is passionate about her trade, but someone who really cares about your vision and making you feel beautiful - just as every bride should! She is beyond talented at what she does and made me feel and look like the best version of myself on one of the most important days of my life. For someone who is comfortable applying makeup, I had a high standard for the person I chose for my big day. Samar knocks it out of the park - every. single. time. On my day she did 4 maids, 2 moms and myself without a hitch and ahead of schedule! Also, her and Julie (from Do's and Dye's by Julie) are such a dynamic duo - I loved how well the work together! Samar was so great! Where do I start?! She was so responsive to emails and always followed up the same day for all of my questions (I had a lot). Samar was so accommodating, leading up to my wedding day, and even on the day when we last minute added my aunt to the makeup line up (12 people total!). She was fast, efficient and made everyone look flawless! She is so kind and genuinely wants everyone to be happy! I am so glad I chose Samar for my wedding day make-up and would highly recommend her to anyone who wants flawless make-up at a competitive price!

Samar was great! I was a little late in finding someone to do my wedding makeup and she shifted around her appointments to be there on the big day. She was the most responsive and organized out of any of my vendors. I wasn't quite sure what type of makeup I wanted but she walked me through all the options and made sure I was comfortable with everything. She accommodated all the requests made by my bridal party and helped me feel relaxed on the big day. My makeup came out perfect and lasted the whole night!

I was one of those brides that was a bit nervous about looking too made up. My husband, to top it off, said that he didn't like the airbrush make up I had done as a bridesmaid a year prior, and preferred me "to look more like myself." Samar did a fantastic job on my make up and didn't make me look too made up. My husband loved it! The moms and bridesmaids looked great as well. Samar was very responsive to any questions I had before the big day and was willing to problem solve. I have especially watery eyes, so we decided on a liquid liner, that I brought in myself for the day of the wedding to make the liner stay on longer. All in all, a great experience! Thank you Samar!

You only need to look at the “before and after” pictures Samar posts to know that she is the woman you want to make you look beautiful on your wedding day. She has a truly amazing gift in her ability to transform you into the most beautiful version of yourself. Every single one of her clients look like they belong on the cover of a magazine, yet every woman still looks exactly like herself. Samar has a gentle, caring spirit and makes you feel like she has known you forever from the moment you meet her. She was reliable, dependable and trustworthy. She will take her time to really hear what you are looking for when she does your makeup trial, and delivers exactly what it is that you are looking for on the day of your big event. She arrived at my house at 5:30 a.m. for my wedding in a timely manner, and was ready to get going. She was so friendly and kind towards each of the ladies in my bridal party. Samar is reliable, dependable, quick to respond and truly gifted at what she does. I would recommend her without hesitation-you will love working with her, and will love the results of her artistry!

My makeup w/lashes lasted all day and well into the night and looked flawless the entire time! Samar is very kind and reassuring, she definitely felt more like a friend than just another vendor. Was very convenient to just relax and have her come to the venue instead of having to go to a salon. Would highly recommend!!

Samar was phenomenal. I showed her maybe two inspiration photos and she knew EXACTLY what I wanted. She always was very open to any concerns I had if the makeup was veering towards too formal as my wedding was a day wedding and she was totally fine with whatever. She even was extremely patient with my not so easy going mom and sister the day of. Samar was absolutely fabulous! She responds to questions very quickly. As a person of color it can be difficult to find a provider who can match your skin tone and before my trial my friend had shared her horror story of having a make up artist not match her skin tone at all. When I first sat down with Samar, I expressed my anxiety about this and she quickly assured me it would not be a problem. My bridal party was full of diverse women and Samar did an excellent job making us all look beautiful. I would highly recommend Samar's services as she is truly gifted!

Samar did such a great job with the makeup for our August wedding. From the trial I booked I knew Samar would be great - she asks a lot of great questions to gauge what kind of style of makeup you like, what features you like to accentuate, how you will wear your hair on the day, etc. She really thinks about what you want and what will look best. I don't usually wear a lot of makeup and her work was the perfect balance for me. Samar did an amazing job with the makeup for my wedding! From the trial, I knew that she would be the perfect choice. She was able to give me a natural look that photographed well but didn't make me feel overdone. My husband usually hates when I wear a lot of makeup, but even he loved it! Samar was so easy to work with and my bridesmaids loved her-she was doing such a great job that my one bridesmaid that had planned to do her own makeup changed her mind and wanted hers done too! Because she was actually ahead of schedule for us, Samar graciously agreed to squeeze her in too. Everyone looked amazing and the airbrush makeup really does last for hours without needing to constantly blot or touch up. I highly recommend Samar and would definitely hire her again in the future if I have a need for professional makeup!

I was very fortunate to have found Samar here on wedding wire. She is a wonderful person and a very talented make-up artist! Samar came to the hotel where my bridesmaids and I were staying which saved all of us time and minimized the wedding stress. Her peaceful demeanor put everyone at ease and each of my bridesmaids was able to get the look that they wanted. I do not normally use much make-up and Samar helped me to maintain the more natural look that I had hoped for. Samar's work is top-notch! My airbrush makeup lasted through heat, humidity, and even rain at nights end! My sister's eye makeup remained in place for days after! EVERYONE looked marvelous and I can't thank Samar enough. This was not simply about the makeup, but her professionalism and willingness to work with me and my family even when we were not as organized as we should be. Additionally, Samar was a calming force on my wedding day, and for that, I am eternally thankful. For the cost, I will most definitely consider using Samar again in the future. She is patience and won't push you beyond your comfort zone for makeup- go as little or as much glam as you want, and she'll support you! For any women of color who are worried about matching color, no worries! Even with a significant tan from summer sun that made my shade much different than our trial run three months before the wedding, my makeup was flawless. Thank you, Samar!

Samar is a lovely person and a very talented makeup artist. Not only did she make my makeup beautiful, but it also looked natural. The airbrushing was very light and I completely forgot about how I looked and was able to focus on the day. Not an easy feat as I was a very emotional bride and the waterworks started prior to Samar "putting my face on". My makeup held up well throughout the very hot humid day of our wedding as well as the many tears. My mother looked at least 10 years younger and Samar was able to highlight her wonderful features including her bright blue eyes. Thank you again Samar! I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Samar was such a joy to work with for my wedding. She was incredibly quick with all communication- sometimes responding to emails within the hour. I contacted her very early on in the planning process and went with my mom and one of my bridesmaids for a trial at her home. She was very thorough, asked a lot of questions, and really listened to my ideas. I was thrilled with my trial makeup- very natural and well-executed. Samar was super organized and professional every step of the way. She arrived early to my home the morning of the wedding and got right to work on 7 people. She was joyful and calm and really helped me relax- even talking me down so kindly from a little meltdown. Everyone’s makeup was beautiful. I had Samar travel to Hartford for my 9/26/15 wedding (a little late on the review!) and I couldn't have been happier with her work. Every step of the way, Samar was encouraging and a complete pleasure to work with. I was extremely happy with my makeup for myself, my bridesmaids and the mother of the bride. I cannot say enough amazing things about Samar and the services she provided me and my girls not only on my wedding day but leading up to it. When I first started planning my wedding I was a bit overwhelmed. Samar made me feel completely at ease and was so easy to work with. She is so fast to respond to questions/inquiries and very organized.

I scheduled my make up trial with Samar and fell completely in love with her work and booked her that very day. The day of our wedding she came to my Mom's house where we were getting ready and did makeup/eyelashes for myself, my 6 bridesmaids, my mom and future mother in law. We have all had our makeup done for previous weddings multiple times and my entire bridal party was amazed by Samar. She spent so much time with each girl, did not rush and everyone looked stunning. We got so, so many compliments on our makeup throughout the night and it photographed beautifully. I would highly recommend getting eyelashes as well - it tied the entire look together.

I couldn't have asked for a better, more professional, down to earth makeup artist on my wedding day and I know all of my girls would agree. I would highly recommend Samar to anyone needing professional makeup.

Samar is WONDERFUL!! She did makeup and false lashes for my MOH, my mother, my MIL, and me on the morning of my wedding. She did a BEAUTIFUL job. Both my mother and MIL are very conservative in their use of makeup, and my MIL especially was worried about not looking overdone. Samar could not have done a more perfect job with their makeup. Samar made them both extremely comfortable and they were both so happy with the outcome. I was also blown away by the work Samar did with my makeup and my MOH's makeup. Everyone looked stunning, but the makeup was still very natural. I could not have been more happy with Samar's makeup work, but on the more practical side, her prices were incredible, too. I asked for quotes from several makeup artists in the area, and even with travel fees (Samar came to do our makeup on-site at my hotel), Samar's prices were well below anyone else that I considered. She arrived on time, she was incredibly professional, and she finished about 30 minutes earlier than the time I told her we needed to be done. She is also incredibly patient -- I was so nervous and kept starting to cry while she was doing my makeup, and she helped to calm me and keep me relaxed. I am so incredibly pleased with everything Samar did, and I highly recommend her to all brides!

Samar did a wonderful job on myself and my other attendees. Samar spent time with each bridesmaid and mother as if they were the brides themselves. She does an excellent job and great work

Samar was awesome. I was a bit of a procrastinator, and only booked Samar about a month out from the wedding. She was always super responsive over email. I actually had my makeup trial the day before the wedding (I don't live in the area) - it could have been risky but I trusted her based on her reviews + pictures I had seen posted on her Facebook of past brides. I don't wear much makeup, but still wanted the fun, sparkly bride look (I didn't know anything more specific than that!). She totally gave me the perfect look - I was so happy. She, and her colleague, did the makeup for my bridesmaids and one of the flower girls too. She was very flexible in that one of the bridesmaids decided she wanted her makeup done that morning (after seeing the looks of the other girls), and another added lashes. She was ahead of schedule and able to make it work. Everyone was really happy - and she was awesome with my niece! She felt so special getting her makeup done and got to pick out her colors and everything. Also, the price was great - that was a big relief! I definitely recommend Samar.

Samar did an amazing job with my makeup and my bridesmaids. Some of the girls who never wear makeup were nervous but she listened to them and their outcome was amazing and they were all happy. I had a great experience and my makeup turned out wonderful. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Samar did an amazing job on my wedding makeup and really knew how to get the beautiful-but-natural look I was going for. She was also really flexible about doing the trial on a weekend, since I live out of state.

Samar was amazing. I do not normally wear makeup and I didn’t actually want to wear it until my photographer recommended. After meeting Samar, I no longer worried. After my first trial, I knew she was amazing. She did a great job, she was friendly and outgoing, and knowledgeable and professional. I did end up having a second trial but this is no reflection on the work she did. Since I do not wear makeup I was not specific about what I wanted. During the first trial we went with more of a glam look but then I decided I really wanted a natural look. The second trial and the wedding were perfect. She did my makeup, my MOH, and my mother and everyone was happy with the results. Samar’s personality really put me at ease because it was like being with an old friend. Because of her skills I did not have to worry about makeup leading up to the wedding, which was a huge relief. I would highly recommend her if you are looking for a makeup artist.

Samar is AWESOME! She is very professional, flexible and responds to emails and phone calls very quickly. Her personality is very relaxed; I was very nervous and she made feel at ease. I had family coming out of the state and she was available via email to respond to all of their questions. Furthermore, some of my family members could not make it and because I had already paid for their make up, Samar was willing to accommodate other people without any extra charge.

Samar did an incredible job on my daughter's make-up for her prom. It was flawless. It was tasteful and flattering. It gave my daughter a huge amount of confidence - made her feel like a princess. She received many, many compliments. It lasted very well. It was very reasonably priced. It was a pleasure to work with Samar - she made my daughter feel very comfortable during the process.

Samar did an awesome job on my daughter's prom make up! She has always struggled with blemishes on her face and chest. Samar made sure that any problem areas were camouflaged. I know this gave my daughter a tremendous amount of confidence. I highly recommend Samar!
