Nancy is the BEST

Nancy is INCREDIBLE! She did my wedding makeup, as well as my bridesmaids! I couldn’t be happier with the outcome! She was extremely professional!(As well as super friendly!!) Her calming personality definitely helped lower the stress! Nancy made everyone feel comfortable and made sure to ask about any skin concerns. She came prepared with every possible makeup product/tone/etc. Nancy is a miracle worker! She got through all of us crazy, stressed and loud girls in perfect timing! (Thank you for putting up with us lol) Nancy made each one of us look beautiful! Our makeup lasted ALL night! Even through all the sweat and tears! (Including the eyelashes!) I highly recommend Nancy!!

Kind warm energy and talent!

Nancy is such an awesome person to have at your wedding because she is kind with a warm energy. I thought she did an amazing job on the makeup of all my bridesmaids and they alll agreed! She also did airbrush makeup which looked fantastic. she is open to suggestions and definitely make me and my BMs feel comfortable and confident in our makeup! Thank you Nancy!!

Wedding Makeup

For our wedding I hired Nancy to be our makeup artist for myself & 5 bridesmaids & mother of the groom! I added a twist to her work, as I bumped the corner of my eye a few days prior to the wedding and the bruise traveled all over my eyelid! So had a lovely purplish black eye She covered it flawlessly, my makeup was beautiful & when people tell you all night long how gorgeous you look, you know it’s because of makeup & hair haha!!!! We all had a ball all morning getting ready, Nancy is the sweetest, a very calming presence during the chaos of a wedding morning! First, Nancy is amazing at what she does! Nancy did my makeup for my wedding. I am not an everyday makeup wearer so I was really nervous to book someone. Nancy made me feel so comfortable and at ease, she understood that I wanted to look like my natural self. Nancy was extremely easy to work with, she explained nearly everything she was using and during my trial we figured out what was going to work best for my wedding day. Best make up around!

I can't recommend Nancy enough! Our story began 10 years ago when I was engaged to be married. During that time my mother became very ill and my wedding was postponed and eventually cancelled. Nancy was one of the few vendors during that time that showed me the utmost kindness. She was a bright spot in a very difficult time. Fast forward 10 years later and I was engaged again (for real this time) and there was no one I would have picked for my wedding day needs. Her make up skills are impeccable and I felt like an upgraded version of myself on my wedding day...but not a totally different person! Amazing & Stress free experience!!

Nancy has been so helpful from the start. The makeup trial was perfect and a relief. When the pandemic unfold, Nancy was wonderful with staying in touch checking to see if any changes needed to be made. Nancy is wonderful!

Nancy was great!! She was so sweet and listened to me when I said I wanted more natural makeup for my shower and a little more for wedding day! I got married on 10/19 in maine and she was so accommodating traveling up to the hotel. She is so patient and lovely to be around and I cant wait to use her again for all future events!! Amazing job!!

I am so happy that I chose Nancy Gorman for my wedding makeup artist!! I got married in Ipswich, MA on 8/10/19 and Nancy was a perfect fit for my bridesmaids and I. She did such an amazing job on all of our makeup. I typically don’t wear a lot of makeup so I asked for a natural look and was so pleased with the final result. I got a ton of compliments that day and still felt like myself! She listened to our requests and finished all of the bridesmaids’ makeup as well as my mother in laws with perfect timing. Not only is she professional and knows her stuff but also has such a fun, bubbly personality. She even went out of her way to bring an essential oils diffuser and asked what I would like her to bring. I was feeling anxious and asked for something calming and it totally helped! We had a great experience with Nancy and I would recommend her to any bride!!

The best!!

I can't say enough about Nancy. I have had the pleasure of having Nancy doing my makeup for two weddings previous to my own. She did my makeup flawlessly in all three weddings! I am not much of a makeup wearer and Nancy knew that. She made sure that I was happy and comfortable throughout the entire process. I am a huge crier but my makeup stayed on my face perfectly without a smudge or anything! Not only is Nancy wonderful at makeup but she fits right in and makes you feel comfortable and relaxed on the day of the wedding! I would highly recommend Nancy to anyone!

The best of the best!

Nancy is truly amazing; I cannot recommend her enough! My wife and I got Nancy's name through a friend and she totally exceeded our expectations from start to finish. During our trial she got to know us, what we used for make-up, what look we were going for, etc. (which was VERY different for myself, a normal make-up wearer, and my wife who never wears a drop of make-up). She was able to accommodate both of our styles easily and perfectly! She also is SUPER responsive. She always got back to me within hours of emailing her and she was so flexible with all of her responses! It was so helpful to have such an easy person to work with.

On the day of our wedding Nancy arrived on location on time, ready to have fun with us! She bonded with our bridal party and moms who were all getting ready together seamlessly and she was a natural fit for our group. Our group had blondes, brunettes, fair skinned girls, and some with a little more of a tanned complexion and each of us looked like a gorgeous, glamorous, natural, version of ourselves. It was simply incredible.

Then, two days later, we hosted a big New Year's Eve party for friends and asked Nancy to come back to do our make-up for that event too! She was amazing! She totally glammed us up- everything was shimmery, sparkly, and amped up for a night of partying. She totally got the feel we were going for and nailed it!

The bottom line is- whatever you want, Nancy will be able to achieve it and you'll look absolutely gorgeous and 100% like yourself. You cannot go wrong with booking Nancy!

Fabulous artist

This woman deserves 5,000 stars; I cannot possibly recommend Nancy enough for your makeup needs.
About a week and a half before my wedding, my makeup artist had to back out of our date because something had come up. I made 3 appointments immediately for trials and the original makeup artist was even willing to send me her associate at a discount.
I went in with pictures describing the look I wanted to each one as references for color palate and feel.
It was as if they all ignored what I showed them. They nodded, “uh huh, yup, got it, ok”, and then when we were done, they used nothinG in the palate I’d shown them. I literally gave them cheat notes, and they still failed the test?
Ok. Onto quality. The first was ok, but didn’t wow me, I felt she was great for prom makeup or a night out. I’m sure I’d look great in pics but I’m going to be in this makeup all night, sweating and talking and eating and dancing and it was just too heavy feeling for a wedding. The second.... I won’t even go into detail, but I was literally speechless when she was done. I’m not a rude person but it looked like someone, um, young did my face.. I thought maybe she was joking and then realized she was serious so thanked her and put ON the hat I walked in with even lower on the way out. This i not an exaggeration, it actually happened. The third, way too heavy. She knew color, (though not what I asked for) but I could see every pore in my face even more than before she started. I was resigned to take whoever the associate of my original girl sent and lined up a trial for about 2 days before, but then..... Nancy. Oh, my saving grace. I had been interested in her work but she was unavailable. However, when she heard of my dilemma, she felt bad (who feels bad for a last minute bridE?!) and told me to come by her house for a trial. I have literally never been so happy with anyone doing my make up in my entire life. I say that having sat in multiple makeup chairs for acting jobs in New York and Los Angeles. This girl was so far beyond what I asked for. Her light-as-air airbrush coverage made my skin flawless AND stayed put all night. She checked in with me, referenced my pics and ACTUALLY PAID ATTENTION TO THEM. She knew the style and feel and I trusted her to go for it and I kid you not, when she turned the mirror to show me at the end, I cried because I was like, “This is it.” I’d say I ugly cried, except she made me so pretty. I can not recommend her highly enough. She was not only my saving grace, but better than my original and I will now use nobody else but her in the future. I guarantee you. You will be happy with Nancy.

Feel beautiful all day

I had a chance to book Nancy for my August 2018 Wedding and couldn’t be happier. Nancy listened carefully to my requests and allowed me the chance to try out different looks making sure I was completely comfortable with the final choice. The absolute BEST!

Nancy is the absolute best!! I have worked with her on countless occasions for a variety of different events. Each one I have left feeling like a million bucks and have gotten so many compliments on my make-up. Besides being the sweetest, most down to earth person she is incredibly talented. She really knows her stuff, she can just look at your face and know what colors/style will flatter it the most. She can glam you up without making you look fake or she can give you a naturally beautiful look if that's what you prefer. All of my bridal party had different tastes in make up and Nancy easily accommodated them all and they were all blown away by her talent! Do yourself a favor and book her!

Nancy goes above and beyond for her customers. Add that to her stellar work, and you have one amazing person!

I first worked with Nancy when I was the MOH in my best friend's wedding two years ago. While I typically wear makeup, my bestie really doesn't; I was really curious how Nancy would glam someone up without making them look overdone if they're typically a natural beauty. My best friend looked stunning- Nancy mixed a very natural "enhancement" style of makeup with a few touches of drama that made my BFF look stunning. I was also lucky enough to have Nancy do my makeup, which was simple but stunning.

So, of course, when I recently got married I HAD to have Nancy! I loved my makeup- it was the "dramatic but not costume-y" look I wanted, which I was really struggling to describe. Nancy somehow knew instantly during my trial what to do, taking into account my wedding venue, skin tone, time of year, wedding colors, etc. She did the same style for my wedding, and everyone kept complimenting on how perfect it looked. I absolutely loved it. She also did a couple bridesmaids as well as my mother's makeup, taking into account their styles and typical makeup application. My mom is totally makeup free at all times, and even she loved her fully-done look!

Here's where Nancy really shines, though. I posted on social media that I needed wine bottles the week before my wedding after changing some decor on a whim; Nancy came through with 100 for me! She even picked them up from the restaurant that offered them to her. She didn't expect anything out of this; she was simply just being a good person, helping someone out.

Nancy really loves what she does. She takes pride in her work and really strives to make relationships with her clients, and it shows. Nancy, you're the best!

Nancy Saves the Day!

Our - myself, my 72 yr old mother, and my sisterfriend - original makeup artist unfortunately had to have emergency surgery just 4 days before my son's wedding - ai yee! The orginal artist reached out to a couple of other artists, and after rejecting the 1st replacement (didn't meet my criteria/style ethos) we were delighted that Nancy kindly offered to fill the breach!

After carefully reviewing her portfolio and a brief phone consult, I knew that Nancy was perfect for us; very skilled, very professional, listened AND understood our requirements. Her work was outstanding - our airbrush makeup was as fresh as could be despite horrible humidity, pouring rain, and dancing up a storm, and she herself is a lovely individual!

This review is long overdue & I could seriously write a book on Nancy. I initially met Nancy as a bridesmaid in my cousins wedding. When she first came walked in she had guessed what our typical "makeup style" was-which for me is minimal to no makeup on the daily. I can't even tell you how comfortable it made me feel when Nancy guessed that off the bat. In the countless number of weddings I have been in, Nancy was most successful at keeping me at ease in fear of what my makeup might turn out like. For someone who never wears makeup there is the fear that you will end the session not even looking like yourself. I ended up contacting Nancy a week after my cousins wedding to secure her for my own wedding, it was a no brainer. I highly recommend Nancy as a makeup artist for any occasion. The level of comfort for quality is well worth it on a day of high stress and excitement!

Nancy was the makeup artist for my wedding and I could not have been happier with the results. My bridesmaids loved how they looked and I felt so beautiful. I did a trial with Nancy and she was incredibly informative about the different products she uses and airbrush vs. normal makeup. I love that she listened to the thoughts I had on what I wanted my look to be, but also offered up different suggestions on how the look could be changed up. I actually went into the trial wanting one look but after Nancy mentioned the same look with a different color palette, I asked for her to try it on me and it's what I ended up going with! She's the nicest and fun woman, too, which made our time getting ready extra entertaining!

When I told our wedding coordinator, Beth Rolfe of Fetching Events, that I wanted a very natural look for our wedding she immediately suggested I reach out to Makeup by Nancy. Nancy has a way about her that is hard to put into words. I wear very little make up on a daily basis and my bridesmaids wear even less. I was pretty nervous about having a make-up artist glam me up. I could tell by her portfolio that Nancy specializes in the natural look. When I met Nancy I found her to have such a gentle way about which made me feel like I’d let her try anything. I even tried false eyelashes which was a really great decision. I didn’t feel the least bit uncomfortable in the makeup that Nancy applied and was very impressed that it stayed put all day. My bridesmaids were equally impressed and most importantly they were all comfortable with their makeup. Our husbands were all thrilled as well. Their jaws dropped when they saw how lovely their wives looked - none of them complained that we had too much makeup on. Nancy’s kindness and gentle nature is a real blessing as you’re getting ready for your wedding. She instills confidence, deflects stress, and of course made me feel beautiful! I wish everyone could see her work with excited or nervous flower girls. One niece was over the moon excited to sit in the makeup chair and have some lip gloss and blush. My other niece was curious, but unsure. Nancy made them both feel like princesses. I can’t thank her enough for her kindness and her talent.

My best friend got married a few months before me and Nancy was her makeup artist. I wasn't even considering getting makeup done for my wedding but after I saw Nancy's work, I changed my mind! She's great at what she does, makes everyone feel super comfortable and she's super fun to be around! I would book Nancy for any event!

Where do I even begin?! I first met Nancy when she did our makeup at my sisters wedding a few years back. When I contacted her to do my wedding she was so excited from the get go. Nancy is one of a kind.. not only does she just make you look and feel beautiful on your big day but she takes the time to get to know you. She doesn't rush,she doesn't just want to get on with her day, she takes her time with each individual and does amazing work. Nancy is awesome! First of all, she is so nice, fun, and down to earth; her personality is exactly what you need the day of your wedding! Her prices are very reasonable, fake eyelashes are included in the price, and if you hire her (which you should!) the cost of the trial is subtracted from the cost of your wedding day makeup. She made everyone feel so comfortable, and she did an amazing job with everyone's makeup!

Nancy is absolutely amazing and a true talent. She was the makeup artist for my 9/2/16 wedding. After meeting Nancy for my trail many months before the wedding cry quickly I knew that I had found my girl. She is extremely kind and talented and was able to single handedly apply make up to myself, 4 bridesmaids, 3 flower girls and two moms the day of the wedding all the while staying ahead of schedule and making everyone feel so comfortable and also beautiful. Nancy takes her time with each and every person to ensure they look exactly how they want whether that be natural or full glam. Not being a makeup wearer I was very nervous about what to expect but all I can say now is that I have never felt as beautiful in my life as I did on my wedding thanks to Nancy. Nancy stayed with us int he bridal suite that day right up until it was time to walk down the isle to ensure that she would be there to handle any last minute touch up issues. There are not enough good things to say about Nancy she is simply the best and every bride should use her!

Nancy and her assistant Sue were the best! She is so friendly and upbeat and helped to calm my nerves the day of. Her prices are so reasonable for the work that she does. She is so quick to respond to emails and you can tell that she really takes pride in her work and cares about her brides. She did makeup for 11 people total the day of my wedding and everyone looked stunning! My bridesmaids said out of all the weddings they’ve been in that they liked their makeup the most from Nancy. I had such a wonderful experience working with Nancy! She did my makeup on my wedding day and also did my mom's and cousin's. She did an incredible job - I could not have been happier with how my makeup looked! It lasted perfectly all day and looked amazing in all my photos. And my mom and cousin looked great, too. Typically I don't wear much makeup and do not know that much about makeup, and most times when I've had my makeup done professionally it never looks anything like I want it, and I don't feel like myself. But during our trial, Nancy listened well to the look I was hoping for, clearly explained what she'd do, and made any little adjustments I wanted (which were practically none!). She created the exact look I was hoping for. I felt so beautiful with the makeup and felt like myself. And she was very accommodating to schedule our trial - we had a very short engagement and I was only in town a couple weekends before my wedding. The week of the wedding she was really responsive, too, helping me get the lipstick and lip gloss so I'd have those to keep on the wedding day. Overall, she was really fun to work with and really listened to what look I wanted. And I just can't say enough how much I loved my makeup! I ended up getting back in touch with Nancy later to ask her how I could recreate the look on my own and she was super responsive and explained all the products she used. I would highly recommend Nancy to anyone!

Nancy did makeup for myself, my sister and mother, and my husband’s sisters and mother the morning of our wedding. She helped me plan out how much time we would need for makeup, and she showed up right on time to the hotel with all her gear. It’s amazing that she can set up a makeup studio almost anywhere! Getting our makeup done by Nancy at the hotel was so much easier than doing it ourselves or going to a salon, and the results were amazing. I asked for a natural style that would look great in wedding photos, and that’s exactly what she delivered. Everyone was very happy with her work, we all got false lashes expertly applied by Nancy. I felt so glamorous on my wedding day and I’m so glad I hired Makeup by Nancy! I also did a trial session that was super fun, I highly recommend Nancy for event makeup!!

Nancy is amazing! You can go ahead and stop looking for a makeup artist now. Nancy helped me from states away because I was a destination bride. I live in Florida and my wedding was in New Hampshire. I was unable to make it in person for a consultation but Nancy still made me feel like I had one. She e-mailed me many examples of make-up styles and even had several girls model the look I was going for. She had different models also try different lashes and was patient with me when I last minute decided on extensions. Nancy was always prompt in responding to me and even gave me advice about other vendors I had. She had several hair artists in mind but I had already chosen one. I now wish I went with who she recommended as my hair did not come out the way I wanted. I trust Nancy in every decision she makes.

Unfortunately I was sick on the day of my wedding, I'm not sure if it was the bug going around, the several drinks I had the night before or just my nerves. After talking to most my bridal party I was still feeling sick. It was Nancy who calmed me down, made me feel better right before my wedding and did my makeup perfectly. Everyone in my wedding party and my family that had Nancy do their make up loved not only their results but her personality as well. She truly is the best. My mom (an FIT alumni) even stated that Nancy was the best makeup artist she has had. I don't normally write reviews but Nancy is that good. I know how stressful planning for a wedding is, especially from a distance but if you work with Nancy I guarantee you won't have to worry about your make-up.

I was having trouble finding an airbrush makeup artist, and found Nancy only a few weeks before my wedding. She fit me in for a makeup trial over a holiday weekend and after a fabulous trial, we ended up hiring her immediately! Nancy listens to what you want and adjusts the level & style of makeup accordingly. She also has great suggestions if you are unsure of certain elements of your look, like lips or eyes. She even picked up my lip color for me, which was one less thing for me to worry about in the days leading up to the wedding! She is also warm, friendly, kind, and professional and will put you at ease and help you look your best on your wedding day. One of my top priorities was the staying power of the makeup and it really did last from the first picture until the afterparty. I would highly recommend Nancy for all your bridal makeup needs!

Nancy was literally the best "vendor" at my entire wedding!!!! She did exactly what we did in our makeup trial and made the exact changes that we had talked about!!! My makeup came out amazing!!! I recommend Nancy Gorman for any event that requires a professional, caring, sensitive and attention to detail make-up artist. Nancy is a highly qualified professional make-up artist. I hired Nancy to make up three family members and me for my son’s wedding.
This was my first experience and Nancy put me at ease right away. Before the session Nancy explained the process and answered questions. During the session Nancy noticed that I was disappointed that my hair stylist was not available to do my hair that day. She gently asked me if she could make a few calls to find someone to blow out my hair. Within thirty minutes I was in the chair of a fabulous hair stylist!
When I returned home it was my time to be made up. Everyone looked and felt beautiful. Nancy’s attitude was positive and respectful. Nancy made my face look amazing and I felt beautiful inside and out.
Nancy provided more than a make up session; she saved the day, introduced me to a new hair stylist and created a new confidence in all of us. The value of her service cannot be measured in money. I felt that her fees were fair and well worth the service received. The wedding pictures demonstrate how the make up brought out our best features and lasted throughout the day.
If you need a make up artist I highly and warmly recommend Nancy Gorman! Thank you Nancy for being a part of my very special day.

Nancy is truly incredible! Not only is she devoted to staying on top of every makeup trend and buying and using only the highest quality products, she is a wonderfully warm, thoughtful, and kind person to be around!

I originally found Nancy through her amazing reviews on Yelp, and I'm so glad I did. My mom and I traveled to Nancy's house for my initial consultation and booked her on the spot. She listened to EXACTLY what I wanted (natural, glory-romantic makeup - with falsies, of course!) and made my makeup dreams a reality. On the day of my wedding, Nancy showed up at our venue at about 6:55AM to style both moms, all my ladies, and me. She altered our original plan slightly due to the grey, rainy weather, so that our makeup would look better in our photos - amazing! Even more amazing - my makeup is nearly flawless in photos taken around 3AM from our after party!

Nancy knows her stuff and is dedicated to what she does. I have since bought several of the products she used on me for my wedding and wouldn't hesitate to reach out to her to ask her makeup questions or her thoughts on certain products. I have already recommended Nancy to several coworkers and will continue to do so. If I ever have a need to get my makeup done in the future, I will be calling Nancy. I booked Nancy for myself & bridesmaids and she was absolutely wonderful! From her laid back attitude to her professionalism, she was everything I wanted & more! Nancy did a wonderful job for my 7/5/14 wedding. I had never been happy with the results when someone else had done my makeup, so I was nervous about my trial, but Nancy nailed it! She really listens to what you want, looks at pictures you show her, and is willing to work with any ideas you have. I loved the airbrushing, and didn't even feel my false lashes all night! Nancy did a fantastic job on wedding day makeup for myself, my mom, and three of my bridesmaids. She was incredibly responsive and sweet throughout the planning process and made it so easy for me to coordinate everything from a distance while I was living in California. Everyone's makeup looked incredible and lasted throughout the night. She also took the time to make my flower girl nieces feel super special by applying some very subtle eye shadow and lip gloss. From our initial meeting in her comfortable home studio, she welcomed us. It felt as though we were old friends who were getting reacquainted!!! what i most appreciated about Nancy was the fact that she listened to what mattered to me and not what she could have assumed. Our wedding was a same sex wedding, and my wife and I were both very much in unison on what we wanted to "look" like on our day. While, make up was not necessarily new to me, the last time i wore make up was my HS Prom! I was adamant about what i didn't want to look like and sensitive about certain aspects of my face. At our trial, Nancy tried a few things and BLEW ME AWAY!!! I can honestly say, she made me look great on the outside and feel awesome on the inside. Nancy is amazing. She's reliable, affordable, professional, friendly and attentive to your needs. She not only does my makeup for all of my personal, professional shoots (I'm a photographer), but also for all of my boudoir clients (at my studio) that request to have their makeup professionally done. I love that she does airbrushing and always asks about sensitivities/allergies etc. She loves what she does and you can really tell. She's always advancing her techniques with new classes/education and expanding her makeup box with the latest professional products, makeup, and techniques. I can't say enough about Nancy. I've also referred her out to all of my 2014 brides. Go with Nancy- you won't be disappointed.

Nancy (from Makeup By Nancy) was great! I wanted a very subtle look because I don't wear a lot of makeup usually and didn't want to look "overdone-up." We had a great trial where we decided on a look that I was happy and comfortable with. Nancy was extremely flexible with her time and was willing to show up at 6 am for my 11 am wedding on a Sunday! She was very professional and genuine. I would recommend her services to anyone.

Thanks nancy! Makeup trial was fun and relaxing. She took her time to find the right look for my sister and my makeup was transformational. I don't usually wear a lot of makeup. I was a little nervous. Nancy had me runaway.. I mean aisle ready.

I booked Nancy for my wedding and she was amazing! She was very flexible when it came to booking the trial and then the day of my wedding she travelled to our hotel. She was always fun and professional. In a room with 3 hair stylists and 9 ladies Nancy's section of the room was a little make up sanctuary. I would highly recommend her. She did and amazing job and was such a pleasure to work with! She had a positive impact on my amazing day!

my make up looked so natural and my skin looked flawless. Not only did my make up come out exactly how I wanted it but my 8 bridesmaids and mother looked beautiful as well. Our make up lasted all day and night, we even woke up still beautiful! She's awesome !!!

Nancy was great to work with. She is very friendly and made everyone feel comfortable. She got both my mother andvthe grooms mother to agree to makeup even though they had problems with allergies to makeup when they were younger before hypo-allergenic brands were available. She did a great job with our makeup making it look more natural and not overdone. She was on time and well prepared and easy to communicate with.

Nancy was absolutely wonderful. She was easy to reach and responded right away to set up my makeup trial. After my trial I decided to go with her because I liked her so much and I knew she would do a great job. For the day of my wedding she was right on time and she was friendly, fun, and nice to everyone in my wedding party. She did a terrific job on all of our makeup. I had a lot of stressful vendors on my wedding day.. So, thank goodness I had Nancy! She kept the room calm and light. She was extremely flexible about accommodating a last minute schedule change that involved her going to two places. Most importantly, she did a great job on my makeup. I have very pale skin and managed to develop a skin darkening condition right before the wedding that Nancy was able to hide. Nancy really does a great job and was a true professional for my wedding as well as for a friend's.

Nancy was a wonderful lady to do our makeup! It was such a pleasure woriking with her! She did a wonderful job on my makeup, my mother's makeup, and my 12 year old daughter's makeup. She was pleasant to have with us as we got ready. She did a wonderful job on our makeup! My husband said that I looked beautiful, and she made my daughter look beautiful without looking overly made up. We all had a wonderful time working with her.

Nancy does everything she can to make you feel comfortable, and asks questions and listens to her clients and what they want and need for their big day.

Nancy is an extremely professional and incredible makeup artist. From the first phone call to the day of my wedding she was there for me every step of the way.

A few weeks before my big day we set up a test trial to make sure that she knew what I wanted my makeup to look like the day of the wedding. She listened to my ideas, was patient, and created a look that was exactly what I pictured.

The day of the wedding she arrived early and worked diligently. My bridesmaids, my mother and I were extremely pleased with her work. Nancy was very understanding to everyone's needs and knew how to work with all skin types and styles. I was so happy that I chose Nancy to be my makeup artist and I know that you will too.

I firmly believe that there is no one more personable, professional and sincere than Nancy and I highly recommend her to you.

Nancy was fantastic providing makeup for my July 2010 wedding. From the consultation to the moment I left her chair to get into my dress, Nancy was completely professional, accommodating and just did a fantastic job making me look both beautiful and not over-makeupped. She was honest in her assessment of what I needed and able to provide me with feedback and different looks during the consultation so we could get exactly what I wanted for the day of.

Nancy also did makeup for some of my bridesmaids and my mom, and put a little lip gloss on my flower girl as well. She made everyone look like themselves, whether they went for the natural or more dramatic look, and made sure that we got our looks the way WE wanted them, despite the many opinions that often swirl around a wedding situation! She worked great with the two hair stylists we hired and was super flexible fitting into the schedule. And as we counted down and realized that we were running a little behind (no fault of any of my vendors--I became overly calm on my wedding day somehow!), Nancy was able to finish me up perfectly and swiftly. I was in my dress and ready to go right on time.

I highly recommend her!

It was such a pleasure to have Nancy as part of my day. I set out to find a makeup artist to make myself, my mom, and my bridesmaids look beautiful on this important day and I found much more than that in Nancy.

Nancy arrived on time and well-prepared to beautify my six bridesmaids, mother-of-the-bride, mother-of-the-groom and me (the bride!). She took not time setting up and began transforming my girls into divas. All of them looked simply stunning. Classic and natural. We were all pleased.

Looking back I realize that not only did Nancy make me into a gorgeous bride, she really helped to maintain the calm, laid back mood of the day. She had things well under control all day and even managed to pull me from borderline tears (crisis averted) to feeling and looking like a princess. She said so many nice things to me and made me feel like I was the most beautiful bride ever, even while the crisis of the day was being handled in the background.

I thank my lucky stars (and craigslist!) for bringing Nancy into my special day and into my life. Thanks Nancy!

Nancy did a fantastic job for my wedding and I am so glad I found her!! I had gotten a trial done by another makeup artist prior to booking Nancy and I decided to rule out getting my makeup done altogether. I just didn't feel like myself. Then I ran across Nancy's website and she had the quote " Makeup shouldn't disguise you, it should enhance you." It put my feelings into words and I knew right away I had to have her do my makeup. Luckily, she had a cancellation and 2 months before my wedding she booked a trial with me! I loved how she listened to what I had to say and showed me examples of different brides to get ideas of what I wanted.
On the day of my wedding, she was there bright and early to start makeup for 5 bridesmaids, my mother and myself. It was incredible how stunning everyone looked! Her bubbly personality calmed my nerves and made the whole morning a very enjoyable experience. I was very worried about wearing fake eyelashes for the first time, but she assured me that they would look and feel fine (they did!). She made sure to provide touch ups to bridesmaids right before we left for the ceremony, as well!

She is so friendly, competent and loves what she does! I wouldn't choose anyone else!

I was lucky to find Makeup By Nancy through my wedding planner who had worked with her many times before. Thankfully she was available on my day! Everything was easy with her. I easily found a time for my trial, which was at her home in the evening. She does your FULL makeup for the trial, which was really nice to see exactly how it would turn out on the actual day. She even met with me a second time just to try different eyelashes since I wasn't sure if I wanted bigger ones or not. On the day of she arrived on time and set up shop in a different room of the house away from the 'getting ready chaos'. This ended up being wonderful, because going in there gave me some relaxation and quiet time so as not to get too overwhelmed with everything else going on. She did my makeup, my moms, and my entire bridal party (five bridesmaids). Everything was on time, and often ahead of schedule with her. She made sure everyone was happy with their look (she even took me outside to check the shade of my airbrush, which I felt was too dark and she fixed it!). Nancy was just great to have around while getting ready, she assisted in keeping things calm and in order. I was very happy with her!!

Nancy was a fantastic listener and understood exactly what I wanted. Though I never wear make-up and was somewhat nervous about wearing it, Nancy made me feel incredibly comfortable.
