I cannot recommend Christina and her team enough!!! She is so fun to work with and I truly have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day. From trial day to the wedding day, we were able to trial different lip colors and eye lashes to find the perfect ones! Through hours of dancing, sweating, and crying, it still looked perfect by the end of the night. I wanted to cry taking off my makeup that night! Her professionalism and techniques are top tier! -

Feeling absolutely beautiful 🥰
I could not believe how beautiful I looked once I did my trail with an amazing artist Christina recommended to me in the Jacksonville Florida area Stacy Toler. From the very start of my trial appointment I felt so welcomed the moment I went to Stays salon. She did such a good job making me feel comfortable and listening to what I wanted for my bridal makeup. We talked and laughed the whole time and as someone who has pre-appointment anxiety I felt so good being in her chair. Stacy did an amazing job on my make up and I could not be happier with the results. Even at the end of the day my makeup still looks as good as it did when I left her chair. I absolutely recommend her for any of your make up needs, Stacy will having you feeling and looking beautiful. -

I was lucky to have had my makeup done by Christina for my friend's wedding a year before my own. My makeup looked flawless and lasted all night! The following Monday I booked her team for my wedding! I didn't even schedule a trial for my bridal look because I knew they would master it on the morning of! Veronica did absolutely amazing!! I showed her a few inspo pictures and she freaking nailed it!! Veronica is the sweetest human and she made it so relaxing getting glammed up! All of my bridesmaids and both moms looked so fabulous with their soft natural glam! Even with dancing all night the make up lasted up until I showered! -

Christina is the best of the best! Look no further for a makeup artist because Christina is your girl. I have the hardest time doing my own makeup let alone a stranger…it just never comes out the right way. This was the most nerve wrecking part of my wedding. However when I did my trial I was amazed at Christina’s talent. One trial was all it took! Christina also works closely with a hairstylist who is also worth every Penny! This team did a fantastic job on my hair and makeup as well as all my bridesmaids. I felt so beautiful!
Christina (and Angie!) helped to make my vision for our wedding come to life. On the wedding day, they were early to our house, and were ahead of schedule for all 9 people having hair and makeup done! I truly felt so beautiful on my wedding day, and a huge thank you to Christina and Angie for helping to make my dreams come true! -

She was very accommodating as two of them decided last minute for her to do their makeup and we still were able to keep to the timeline for pictures! I was really happy with Christina’s work. She is professional and very talented! She did my wedding party and my make up (6 people in total) and we were all gorgeous and on schedule! My makeup surpassed my expectations.! It lasted the whole party and it held tears and sweat, incredible!! Another important aspect for me is the quality of the products she uses. I tend to get allergies when I am wearing makeup, especially in my eyes. I did not feel any discomfort during my wedding and my makeup was impeccable the whole time!
Hiring Christina was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding day. Highly recommended.

The week of our wedding she was thankfully able to make us wedding ready! We only had 6 people booked but after the others saw what an amazing job she did they too wanted to have their makeup done. She was so polite & professional, she handled everyone in the wedding party & the mothers!!! Highly recommended! Christina is amazingly talented, and just the sweetest! She’s prompt, polite, & professional. She made the booking process seamless, and knocked my girls’, my mom’s, MIL’s, and my bridal makeup out of the park! My makeup photographed beautifully in every type of lighting. She works on professional photoshoot sets, and practices great detail in ensuring her work looks great on camera. She has a customer for life in me! :) -

Beautiful Wedding Makeup
Christina is such a talented makeup artist and is such a lovely person to work with! You can tell from your make up trial with her that she is passionate about all things makeup and beauty, and it shows in her work. Christina did makeup for me, my three bridesmaids, my mom and my sister on my wedding day, and we couldn't have been happier with the result! Airbrushing makes all the difference, and the beautiful rose gold eyeshadow and artificial eyelashes really put it over the top. Thank you Christina for the kindness you showed us and for being so flexible throughout the process. I know I changed my mind on styles a few times, and am so lucky to have had such a kind and accommodating MUA. Thank you again :-) -

I found Christina through Wedding Wire and I am so happy that I did!!! I could not be happier with the wedding makeup for myself, my bridesmaids, and the moms. I did a trial a couple months before the wedding with Christina and she got the exact look that I wanted. My bridesmaids said it was the best makeup they have had done at a wedding and we all got a ton of compliments. Christina is so sweet and lovely to work with. I highly recommend her!! -

Not only did we all look beautiful, but she was amazingly kind and patient with my grandmother, who was always the biggest fan of makeup. I really wanted to make to make sure she felt special on my wedding day and Christina helped make it happen. I am so happy I chose her!

I have never felt more beautiful in my entire life than I did after she did my makeup. I literally wanted to cry when I had to take it off! Christina not only did beautiful makeup but she actually walked through downtown st Augustine to help my mom because she was lost. Thank you so much for going above and beyond for our big day. She has my highest recommendation!

My hair is ungodly thick and shorter than I wanted it to be for the wedding but Laura was able to work with it. My hair stayed in the same hairstyle for the entire ceremony and reception! My bridesmaids also loved their hair for the wedding.
Maria did my makeup and even stayed late to do some touch ups for our wedding photographer. My makeup looked fantastic all night, even when I was sweating on the dance floor! She did a fantastic job making me look beautiful for my big day! -

Emily Sent on 10/23/2017Christina was AMAZING for my wedding on Saturday! She is so sweet, very accommodating and can make any vision of your make up a reality. I had myself and 5 other girls get ready at the venue and she was not only there early, but made each and every bridesmaid look amazing! Very reasonably priced, amazing airbrush, and we had compliments literally all night. She even left me with a full tube of the colored lip gloss for reapplication later in the night. Emily Sent on 02/04/2017I was scrambling last minute to find beauty vendors because mine fell through a month before the wedding, and that is when I found beyond a salon wedding beauty services. Christina and Laura did makeup and hair for myself and bridesmaids on my wedding day and they were perfect! Christina is AMAZING! She is beyond professional and responds right away, which was huge for this bride knowing that vendors can be hard to get a hold of. She is a delight to be around, so easy to talk to, and this lovely lady creates magic with makeup. I am a natural makeup kind of girl, foundation, blush, mascara and I am out the door, and Christina made me look gorgeous without making me feel at all unlike my natural self. I showed her 3 or 4 pictures of what I wanted for makeup and she combined them flawlessly. My makeup stayed all night long, through the ugly tears and drops of rain. Laura was so WONDERFUL! She made my updo unique to me from a few pictures and I could not have been happier with my wedding hair! She felt like a friend by the end of it all, and was so accommodating when I wanted to change my hairstyle after we had been through the trial run. She made all of my bridesmaids hair beautiful, even though each one had completely different hair types and took the time to make us all feel so comfortable. These ladies are a delight to have on your wedding day and such a good value! I can not recommend their services enough! Thank you for being a part of our day, y'all are the best! -

From Makeup by Christina Burns, I directly worked with Laura Reichmann for hair and Kimberley Nather for makeup. I was pleased with their pricing and the work they did. Both of them were sweet and put up with me & my bridal party's weird antics :)
Overall, we had 9 people go through hair and 8 people go through makeup from about 10AM - 2:30PM, which I felt was a reasonable timeline. Hair took less time than makeup, but two of the hair clients were also my mom and my mother in law, who both have significantly shorter hair. Laura worked with many different hair textures, lengths, and styles - I didn't request a cohesive look for all bridesmaids, so she had to individualize according to each girls' request. She took it on with creativity and style, and they all looked beautiful.
Kimberley (or Kimmay on her business cards) did beautiful airbrushing work and we got tons of compliments on it from guests. If my photos were done, I would be posting the final product so you could see - but trust me, it really did look lovely on all the bridesmaids! Same as with hair, she individualized to each bridesmaid and mother, so it was nice that she was flexible to that. Also, I was worried about fake eyelashes because I am VERY phobic about anything to do with my eyes, but Kimberley was patient with me both in the trial and the day of - at times having to redo things that I messed up by twitching or opening my eyes/blinking too much. I appreciated her patience with me a lot since I don't frequently wear makeup.
I wish the trial had been free or discounted, but I understand its a risk for a hair and makeup artist to not charge or charge less for those things in case a client is dishonest or doesn't end up booking with them. The day of the trial, I know they had encountered that with a different bridal party - where they were contracted for a certain amount of people and about half of them dropped out, so that is not very fair to them. I was just hoping that because we had a pretty large bridal party there could be a discount that would occur. I would just recommend you budget for both trial and day of when you're thinking about overall spending on hair/makeup! Especially think about this if you plan to cover for any others' hair/makeup during trial or day of.
