I absolutely loved working with Anna for my wedding makeup. I did my makeup trial with Anna a couple months before my wedding day and she was fabulous -- not only was she doing the trial but it felt like a thorough consultation as she gave me recommendations on products and ways to keep my skin nourished and hydrated before my big day.
On the day of, Anna arrived right on time! Everyone's makeup looked beautiful and stayed on throughout the night. It looked super natural and not "overdone." She also gave each of us a little touch up kit to use throughout the night. Overall it was an excellent experience with Anna. If you are looking for a makeup artist that listens to what you want and does beautiful work, call Anna! Her attention to detail is unparalleled. -

Anna was truly the best makeup artist I ever could have asked for. From the very beginning, she was incredibly helpful with answering all of my questions, especially about skin prep. I am not really a get glammed up kind of girl, so I wanted all the advice I could get! She walked me through a timeline of when to get waxed, spray tan, facial, etc to make sure my makeup was perfect for the big day. I had a ton of fun with her during my trial and getting all glammed up, and when it came to the big day there were a few minor changes I wanted to make from my trial, and she was so open to making those, and I truly felt like a princess. Anna's calm presence really helped my nerves, and she had me laughing the whole time. Importantly, Anna is an advocate for the bride and will be the first to let someone know that glam time is not a time to be asking the bride a bunch of questions! Anna also gives a little touch up bag to you and anyone else in your bridal party who gets their makeup done with her. Overall, I could not be happier with my makeup experience, and my mom and bridesmaids loved theirs too! -

Anna Grimes is a joy to work with! I hired her to do makeup this past September for my wedding in Cayucos. Anna did an amazing job of highlighting all my bridesmaid's beauty and creating a relaxing environment which set us all up for a great day.
Anna was approachable and responsive throughout the process and I really enjoyed the opportunity to establish a relationship with her during the makeup trial. From that experience, I was able to make adjustments to my makeup plan so that I truly felt my best on my wedding day. She also gave me great skin care recommendations for the weeks/days leading up to the wedding. I'd love the chance to work with her again! -

Book Anna for your wedding makeup!! She was a fantastic partner to work with - I was just as impressed with her organization & communication as I was with the makeup she did for me on my wedding day. I’m not someone who usually wears a lot of makeup, and she did an amazing job making me feel like an elevated version of my natural self. -

Anna is an INCREDIBLE artist. Her personality and her love for people and making them feel beautiful beams from her, she made me feel so comfortable, loved, and seen. She has a way of taking your features, making them pop while ensuring you still look like yourself. Her makeup application was perfection, her eyeshadow blending and winged liner was also wonderful. I have hooded eyes, and she never made me feel like they were an issue for her, she worked her magic and did so great. My mom and my sisters also had their makeup done the day of, and they didn't want to take their makeup off because they felt so beautiful. Thank you again Anna! I love when I see people thriving in their purpose, and you have truly found yours! -

I'm not very proficient with make up but boy am I glad that Anna is! She is so incredibly talented and my bridal party, mom, and I were absolutely blessed to have her do our make up. Everyone looked so good!! She took my request of mostly soft pinks and nudes and ran with it, creating a look that suited each person perfectly. Please hire her, you'll be glad you did -

Anna is a true artist and is dedicated to perfecting the exact look you want for your wedding, and especially wants to make sure you feel comfortable in the makeup you wear. She is SO organized, professional, and listens to your needs and wants while also suggesting/collaborating with you on what would work best with your skin/look for the day. I am still stunned by how well my makeup looked and felt - I didn’t even feel like I had make up on and sometimes forgot I did! On top of that, I pretty much cried the whole day and my makeup DID NOT BUDGE. Anna also has a great sense of humor and is a joy to hangout with. She thinks of everything (because again, she is SUPER organized and thoughtful), and even provided a paper straw and touch-up bag for me to make sure I was prepared for the day and didn’t mess my lips! 1000% would recommend her to anyone! I received a lot of compliments about how natural my makeup looked and that was exactly what I wanted! -

Everyone has gone through it - terrible bridesmaids makeup for their friend's wedding - & I am proud to say my girls did NOT say that! Everyone, including the moms, grandmas, bridesmaids, & of course myself, LOVED LOVED LOVED their makeup! Anna recommended a second artist since there were about 8 girls, & her makeup artist, Megan, did a phenomenal job as well! Anna definitely has a great sense of what type of makeup artist your vibes need.
Anna's style is really whatever your style is because she knows it's YOUR day. I loved how she LISTENS which is something not all wedding vendors do, especially with hair & makeup. Something so simple like listening to a client really goes a long way. I felt comfortable telling her what I liked & wanted to fix & that's huge for me because I'm the type to not say anything when my hair cut is bad or my nails weren't done right. Seriously, Anna is the sweetest & she is so incredibly talented! I love her as a makeup artist, & mostly a person. I would recommend her to anyone! -

Anna was so amazing during our makeup time. She did the bridesmaids and my MIL. Holy cow I could not believe how gorgeous the make up was! I was so happy with how it turned out!
