Beautiful wedding hair and makeup

Vicky and her team are amazing! They did my wedding hair and makeup, as well as for my mom and my bridal party. They took the photos I had in mind for my hair and makeup and made me look even better! Vicky and her team were very attentive to what type of style of hair and makeup I wanted, and I had so many compliments throughout my wedding about how amazing everyone looked. My makeup and hair also didn't budge at all the entire day! Vicky and her team are responsive and also just all around funny and nice people to get ready with on what is a very nerve-wracking day. I would recommend them in a heartbeat! They are a great team and skilled professionals.

Flawless hair and makeup

I decided to contact Vickyc5 after a disastrous hair and makeup trial from a top NYC group. I am Chinese-American and I had asked numerous Asian-American friends who they would recommend for HMU and Vickyc5 always came up! I met Vicky, the owner, at her Manhattan studio about a year prior to my wedding. I had explained to her that I normally do not wear makeup and it is incredibly important to me to look like me on my wedding day. After she applied my makeup and showed me I couldn’t believe my skin looked so naturally glowy without feeling like I had makeup on. She also walked me through several different hairstyles for the day-of– it was a true trial! After we were done with the trial, she asked about my evening. I told her I was going to go out to dinner with my now husband. She quickly switched over my hairstyle so it would be appropriate for dinner. On my wedding day, Vicky and Jen arrived early and were set up within 5 minutes. They took care of me, my four bridesmaids and two moms. Let me also add that we were a group of Asians and non-Asians and everyone looked flawless.I also added touchup service to the original service because I couldn’t decide on the hairstyle. Vicky changed my hair and makeup two times during my wedding. Each change up was more beautiful than the previous. I couldn’t believe how beautiful she made me look and how set the hair and makeup was even after soooo many tears and intense dance moves. On top of her expert hair and makeup skills, Vicky is truly a pleasure to be around. She is fun, calming and knows all the wedding tricks (tissues in the bridesmaid bouquets). If I ever need hair and makeup professionally done I will only go to Vicky. Thank you again!

Vicky and her team did my hair/makeup along with the 4 parents and all 5 of my bridesmaids. They were truly dedicated to making us feel confident and beautiful for the day despite the very early start time of getting ready. The team is very responsive and easy to work with! They are also super flexible and understanding (the many changes due to COVID).
The VickyC5 team is incredibly skilled, patient, and friendly. Their positive/energetic attitude made the whole getting ready process seamless and a great experience (even at 4am).

Vicky C5 did amazing job at my wedding

Vicky C5 team was with me on the wedding day to do make up and hair for myself, my mom, groom's mom, and 2 bridemaids. They showed up timely and made the whole process flawless. Amazing experience!

We had Hera and Chloe with us on the day doing hair and makeup for myself, two moms, and three bridesmaids! I wanted a slightly different hairstyle than what we did at the trial, and Hera managed to do exactly what I wanted at a moment's notice. Chloe was even sweet enough to squeeze my grandmother in for a quick touch up, even though she wasn't part of the initial list. Everyone's makeup stayed perfect throughout the day and after many tears. Thank you so much!!

Felt Beautiful On My Wedding Day

I have nothing but great things to say about Vicky and her team. Vicky did a beautiful job on my hair and Arum did an amazing makeup job! They were prompt, professional, and they gave great advice on what would make my bridal look stand out in my bridal party (for example, they advised me to go with an updo for my hair and suggested a brighter lip than I had in mind so that it would stand out). So glad I listened to them because I felt so beautiful on my wedding day! Not only that, but they were on schedule and were able to finish a whole team (one bride, six bridesmaids, and two mothers) in a timely manner so everything went off without a hitch. They provide great services before the actual day as well, which I definitely took advantage of (I did a make up trial and eyelash extensions). They were so nice and hilarious and it was a pleasure spending the morning of my wedding with them! Overall, I was at ease and had one less thing to worry about on the wedding day because I trusted them so much.

Amazing experience with Vicky and her team!

I got married in September 2019 in Hudson Valley,; Vicky and her team did hair and makeup for myself, 9 bridesmaids, and 2 moms. Vicky and her team are so incredibly talented - everyone loved their looks! And the hair and makeup stayed put the whole night, through multiple dress changes and lots of dancing! They're very amenable too - if you want something changed (lighter, darker, etc.) they can definitely do it. And they really did not disappoint. I'd HIGHLY recommend using Vicky for your wedding hair and makeup!

Amazing experience!

I used VickyC5 for my wedding day makeup for myself, my bridal party and the mothers. I had been recommended their services from friends and was not disappointed. The Vickyc5 team knows what they are doing. I would recommend anyone interested to do a trial run - it helps you to find the perfect look. VickyC5 is amazing - we had Jina for makeup and Hera for hair, and not only were they super efficient with getting us (bride, 2 MOHs, 2 mothers) done quickly, but everyone looked absolutely amazing. I also changed my hair into an updo between ceremony and reception, and was able to attend most of the cocktail party because the entire process was soooooo fast. We partied super hard into the evening, and magically both my hair and makeup both remained intact the following morning. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Everyone loved how they all looked, and felt amazing throughout!

We were referred to VickyC5 through our photographer. On our wedding day, the VickyC5 team provided hair and make-up services for myself, 7 bridesmaids and 2 mothers. They did an incredible job and made us all feel so beautiful! Many times, bridal make-up can look too heavy, but VickyC5 was able to provide very pretty and natural looks that complimented everyone's beauty! My hair also typically doesn't hold a curl very well and Vicky was able to make sure that my up-do was secure throughout the night. Even with the heat that day and hours of dancing, my hairstyle stayed in place. We all had a wonderful experience getting ready with the VickyC5 team and highly recommend them for your wedding day. Wonderful and sweet Korean / Asian makeup artists

I had VickyC5 do hair and makeup for me and makeup for my mother and bridal party for my wedding in central Jersey. They did such an amazing job.
I had trouble finding an Asian or Korean makeup artist in southern or central Jersey, but VickyC5 was willing to travel down to East Brunswick for our wedding. I tried another makeup artist but she didn't understand what I was looking for and how to work with my [Asian] skin. I'm so glad I did more research and found VickyC5.
They showed up at 6am to make sure we were ready for our photographer. We looked so polished but they kept the makeup and lashes natural and glowy the way we wanted. We had discussed what style I was looking for and they really nailed it. They even worked around the flowers we were given by our florist and even took some of the combs apart to make sure the flowers would stay in my hair all day.
They were warm and cheerful and made us feel so comfortable. I loved how they treated my mother so well especially. The makeup and hair lasted all day and into the night.
My bridal party was also really impressed and happy with their makeup. Our wedding photos turned out great as well due to their expertise. I highly recommend them to anyone who likes a glowy natural look but I'm sure they could accommodate any style.

The BEST Korean Makeup Artist

Vicky and her team were amazing and are well-known in the Korean community as the best. They did makeup and hair for 4 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and last minute even added on a little bit for the groom. I knew she would do a great job on the Koreans in my party, but I was impressed that she did an excellent job for the redhead, brunette, and blonde in my wedding party as well. She fixed rosacea issues and worked with straight, wavy, and curly hair.
My wedding party came late, but Vicky and her team were able to do an excellent job in record time, and we were able to make it to 3 different spots for pictures and make it to the ceremony on time - unheard of. Vicky played a big role in making the wedding day as stress-free as possible. We had fun getting ready, and I can't recommend Vicky enough. Beautiful work by a professional team

Vickyc5 was the only option I considered for my wedding day hair and makeup. After my initial consultation with Vicky and a trial session with Alice (with whom Vicky paired me based on my venue, aesthetics, and everyday makeup style), I was confident that my four bridesmaids, mom, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, the husband (yes, makeup and hair for men too!), and I were in great hands. Alice and I agreed on a look that amps up my everyday look—fuller, bigger waves (extensions purchased through Vickyc5) and a glam version of my everyday contoured and smokey look. A couple days before the wedding, I opted to get eyelash extensions from Vickyc5. I highly recommend this service to all brides—the lashes gave me extra definition from the day of the wedding all the way past our 10 day-long honeymoon!

Four artists from the Vickyc5 team arrived on the morning of our wedding and made all nine of us look amazing. They were great conversationists and made the hours of getting ready fly by! Vickyc5 also offers on-site hair and makeup services for touch-ups/different looks. I opted for this service and I am so glad I did. Right before the ceremony, Alice touched up my makeup and pulled my big waves into a low ponytail. The two artists followed my husband and me as we were photographed for post-ceremony portraits, adjusting my hair and even fixing my dress for the perfect shot! Right before the reception, Alice gave me a glittery, darker look for the evening.

I was referred to VickyC5 for my wedding through my friend, who had also used VickyC5 for her wedding. The whole process was seamless, we met with Vicky directly to discuss options for the wedding, had my hair/makeup trial, and stayed in contact until my wedding day. Don't hesitate to book them!

Hera and her team did my hair/makeup for both my engagement shoot and wedding last October. I was recommended to them by a few friends who used them for their weddings. Now I understand why they're the go-to wedding salon for Asians in the tri-state area! My wedding party of five bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law were all absolutely thrilled with the end result.

Even though I got my hair/makeup done by Hera for my engagement shoot, I decided to go back for a separate hair trial. I had my hair straight for my engagement shoot so wanted to try an up-do (I was already satisfied with my makeup). I made the mistake of going into this without any photos so after my first hair trial, I decided to go back for another better prepared (I know, rookie mistake!). I thought I found the hair style I wanted on my second try, but after a little more time spent on pinterest, I decided to change my hair style the day of the wedding. I was worried I would drive Hera crazy with all my changes, but she was totally understanding and very accommodating. I purchased the on-site service (highly recommend this!) as I also had a Korean ceremony during my cocktail hour. Since I had them on-site, I decided to change my hair style after my Korean ceremony and before the reception. I'm pretty Hera didn't need to touch up my hair/makeup as many times as she did throughout the day, but you could tell she really wanted to make you look and feel good on your big day. Not only did she touch up my hair/makeup, but she also looked out for both moms and all my bridesmaids all day.

Overall, I'm extremely happy with how everything turned out and have already recommended them to friends planning their own weddings.

Amazing hair and makeup team!

I booked my hair and makeup with VickyC5 a year before my wedding date. They were an amazing team to work with and were so accommodating. I went in for a trial and Alice listened to everything I wanted that day. She made changes and accommodated both my vision and my mom’s vision.

The day of my wedding, Alice was so calming and was looking out for my best interests. I added on the on-site touch up services for after my ceremony, which was the best decision. Alice made sure I looked my best throughout the entire night.

The team at VickyC5 worked on schedule and all five of my bridesmaids, mom, and mother in law were very pleased with their hair and makeup. While they are especially talented when it comes to hair and makeup for Asians, I would highly recommend them to any bride!

Professionals and experts!

VickyC5 was the first and only hair/makeup vendor I met with. I was specifically looking for Asian HMU artists because only they fully understand Asian hair texture and face shapes (lol sorry). After meeting with Vicky, I got such a great vibe from her that I booked them right away. Was one of the best decisions! They made the process so easy from start to finish. I was able to bundle together hair and makeup for me, 4 bridesmaids, and 2 moms. The day of, Vicky and team showed up promptly at our Airbnb and quickly arranged the tables in order to provide the best working space. They laid out an impressive inventory of makeup onto the dining table and got to work! They were experts about the timeline and knew how to split up each person so that they can eat, use the bathroom and drink mimosas in between. Vicky and team knew exactly the look everyone wanted and was able to expertly adjust to everyone's face shapes and hair textures. Vicky was also very patient and taught my curious mom about various products and techniques. They were so prompt on time and cleaned up everything quickly and efficiently. Amazing service day-of!

Vicky C5 was a great choice and I am very happy I chose to go with them.
I booked them way in advance (almost a year) and they were very flexible. I did not know how many bridesmaids I was going to have and whether we would do hair or makeup or both, but they were extremely flexible and let me just reserve the date and add on services closer to the date.

I ended up choosing to do the trial make up (highly recommended) and also purchased the on-site service (also necessary for my wedding). Alice was my main person and she was absolutely amazing the day of our wedding. I changed my hair style between the ceremony and reception and also had a traditional Korean ceremony during our cocktail hour. Alice was amazing and helped me and my husband get dressed into our Korean traditional dresses (which was not necessary, but she was a life saver!). She also did touch-ups for myself and all my bridesmaids (this was included in the on-site services) which was really great! All-in-all I am SO happy with going with Vicky C5, but in reality, it was completely all Alice and her team who made my day so much better!

It would have been different if I didn’t have VickyC5 team on my wedding 9/23/18. From the first meeting to the day of wedding, Vicky and her VickyC5 team were amazing to work with. I was recommended VickyC5 by my florist (Occasion9) and after my meeting with them I knew I didn’t need to look further. As a Korean-American (with no eyelid crease and flat cheeks and forehead!), I figured finding the right makeup and hair artists who really know how to enhance the features of my face would be difficult. But nope – I was completely reassured by Vicky and her team and knew they were going to do an amazing job. I did my hair and makeup trial about a month before the wedding and I was absolutely stunned in the best way possible by the transformation! Vicky did my hair (tried several styles) and knew exactly what to do with it. She also suggested what kind of accessories (earrings and headpiece) would look good based on the shape of my face and the style of my dress since I mentioned to her I had no idea. I had brought a headband that I thought I wanted to wear for the wedding and tried it on along with other types of accessories she suggested, and she was completely right about the type of accessories that made me look pretty. I ditched the headband immediately (just wore that for the rehearsal dinner) and went with a side hairpiece. With her artistic educational background and years of experience, she really knew what to do on the spot! I also received some facial treatments that they provide at discounted rates for brides, which really helped moisturize and clear my skin. The same team from the hair and makeup trial along with an additional assistant showed up at the hotel room for the wedding day and completely turned the room into a celebrity/runway hair and makeup room within five minutes. They did hair and makeup for my 4 bridesmaids who are not Korean-American, the 2 mothers, and my now-husband. Thank you to Alice and the VickyC5 team for making me feel the most beautiful I have EVER felt on my wedding day!! From start to finish, Alice was amazing to work with. In addition to being super talented, she is so kind and pleasant to be around! I had a wonderful trial with her a few months before my wedding and knew right away that I wanted to hire her to do my makeup and hair on my special day. Being a makeup lover myself, finding the right makeup artist was essential for me, but as an Asian woman on the east coast, it is not that easy to find an artist who can enhance my features in a flattering way for both real-life and in photography. It’s clear that the VICKYC5 team knows how to do makeup for all kinds of face and eye shapes and I was so impressed with Alice’s work that I hired the team to do my makeup and hair for my bridal shower too :) Since Alice was traveling, Hera did my bridal shower makeup which was also amazing! I will say their prices are on the higher end but you truly get what you pay for and they are worth every penny!!! On my wedding day the team of 3 artists arrived on time and I appreciated Alice’s calm and gentle presence as she and the team worked their magic on me, my 6 bridesmaids, and 2 mothers. They were so efficient and receptive to what each of us wanted so in the end everyone felt and looked beautiful! I’m also so glad that I hired them to stay for a few more hours so that my hairstyle could be changed from an updo for the ceremony to a more flowy look for the reception. They even helped do a makeshift bustle of my dress before reception began. They are just so experienced with weddings and it really shows. I can’t say enough about their professionalism, talent, and attention to detail. My wedding planner, Events by o9, recommended Vicky C5 and was the best recommendation I could've received! I'm a Korean-American and really appreciated having a Korean / asian makeup artist that has experience with my skin tone and thicker eyelids. My first hair & makeup trial sold me immediately as it was the first time I had my makeup done by a professional and felt like my "best" self and not overdone or like a "clown". I also recommend getting eyeliner tattooed by VickyC5. I save so much time each morning not having to worry about applying eyeliner and just with a bit of foundation I am good to rush out the door looking polished!

I loved the team so much I hired them to do hair and makeup for my entire bridal party, my mom, my future mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, and cousin. They arrived to the venue early for setup and did a phenomenal job staying on schedule to ensure everyone was finished in time for pictures. I chose VickyC5 for makeup and hairstyling service for my wedding day as I believe them to be extremely experienced and skilled with general aesthetics, with special expertise in Asian faces. Alice was my main makeup artist, and Hera was the main hairstylist and they did a splendid job with my mother, sister, my bridesmaids, and me. During the trial, Alice first applied lighter makeup, as was my preference, and gradually layered until we felt like we had the perfect balance of a natural and camera-ready look.

On the day of my wedding, Alice, Hera, and their team was able to get 7 women ready in under 3 hours without compromising quality, even though 3 of the 7 had arrived a little later than planned due to unexpected traffic. All of the bridesmaids were extremely happy with how they looked. Even my sister, who normally abhors makeup, was pleasantly surprised and very pleased.

Prior to VickyC5, I always thought that camera-ready makeup would inevitably mean slightly more dramatic makeup to the naked eye as I've always found that to be the case from attending weddings to previous bridesmaid experience. Alice, however, is so skilled and did such a superb job that I looked very natural in person but still looked amazing on camera. Hera was able to organize my very limp and incorrigible hair (even by Asian standards) into a textured low bun and intricately dressed it with a thin headpiece thread that I had bought but had no concept or idea of how to incorporate. My hair and makeup stayed put and remained looking fresh throughout the night, without any added effort from me, in a mid-Summer outdoor wedding/reception. I am so happy to have found them - VickyC5 made what is often described as a hectic and tiring morning into a fun, effortless morning, producing lots of happy, smiling faces, ready to tackle and enjoy the big day. No praise is high enough for this amazing team of very talented professionals.

Any bride who chooses Vicky C5 for their wedding day makeup will not regret it!! They take so much care in doing hair and makeup to make it look flawless but also last without worrying about any of it falling a part during your wedding day. My bridesmaids, 2 moms and myself looked absolutely stunning thanks to Alice and the rest of the team. My main hair/makeup artist was Alice, and she did a great job! She and her assistant (unfortunately forgot her name!) were professional and efficient. They finished well within the time we had discussed and even arrived early to the venue in order to set up everything in time. During the trial, Alice took her time to explore the different possibilities with me. I wanted natural makeup that would last the entire day of the wedding, and it did! We had used VickyC5 for our wedding this past April at the Addison park and could not have been more pleased! From the make up trial to the wedding, Vicky and team were always responsive! Unfortunately the original make up artist that i had gone with was no longer with the company, but as a result, Vicky herself came and did the make up! On the morning of our wedding, there was very heavy rain and inclement weather, but Vicky and team still arrived early and got started right away. I wanted to book an expert in makeup and hair for Asian women for my wedding and engagement. I found that expert in Vicky C5 and in Amy and Hera. I could not be happier of how both my looks came out during the wedding and the engagement. They were very professional and brought the mirrors and supplies to the bridal suite. Love all the services at Vicky C5! I went there multiple times even prior my wedding for facials with Alice and eyelash extensions with Angie. The services are on point. My eye last extensions last over a month, and my I've received many compliments on my facial complexion. On the day of my wedding, Alice/Hera and their team were all very professional. After so much research and a failed trial with another highly rated makeup artist, I was so relieved to have found VickyC5 and had an amazing wedding trial with them. My makeup artist was Alice and my hairstylist was Hera. From the start, they listened to what I wanted and made recommendations to enhance the look I was hoping to achieve. They'll suggest upgrades but they didn't push them aggressively on me, and I greatly appreciated that. I looked absolutely beautiful after my trial and signed with them immediately.

Fast forward many months later, Hera and Alice showed up at my hotel on my wedding day - on time, prepared, and with so much excitement. I was so happy to see them and feel their energy. They set up promptly and began working on my 4 bridesmaids, my mother, and provided touch ups for my groom and his father. They even coaxed my resistant little cousin to get her hair and makeup done. My schedule had to be pushed up an hour and they kept calm, which kept me collected despite the chaos. I felt so bad that I wasn't able to take a photo with them before I left, and they even took care to make sure my room was secure.

My only regret was not hiring them for the extra time as my hair completely uncurled from all the humidity. It would have been so worth it to have them help me sort out my hair and makeup. I hope to have another event soon so that I'll have the opportunity to work with them again! If you're looking for an Asian makeup artist and a team that understands the specifics of Asian makeup, VickyC5 is definitely the people to go to.

Hera and her team were fantastic from the very beginning! During the trial, she was very attentive and really listened carefully to the kind of style that I was looking for for both hair and makeup. Since I don't usually wear make up I wanted a look that would be natural, but still look great on pictures. Not only did she get it, she even gave me tips for the future. As a Korean / Asian Make up Artist, she was very knowledgeable as to what kind of make up and hair styles usually look good for my Korean skin tone. The day of the wedding, my bridal party consisted of one maid of honor (Italian), and my extended family so they had to be very diverse in their make up and hair not only racially, but also being sensitive to different ages. Hera and her team did such an amazing job on myself, my mom and my 7 bm's! It was a large group but we finished with time to spare! Everyone complimented how beautiful my girls looked. Our makeup looked so natural and flawless. The hair was so beautiful. My girls were a mixed bunch and they worked so well with their skin tones, using colors that complimented them instead of copying and pasting one another. I was VERY appreciative of that. It made each girl shine in their own way. I'm a girl who doesn't wear makeup AT ALL. Only chapstick. I first found this asian makeup artist Vickyc5 service by searching it online, and later I figured one of my friend did her makeup with Vickyc5 on her wedding day too. I remembered how beautiful my friend was on her wedding day so I booked an appointment immediately. And of course, the price was reasonably within our wedding budget plans.

On the wedding day all the Vickyc5 staff was at the venue even earlier than me and all of my bridesmaids.
They were very professional, and I like that they understood each unique style for different individual.
Usually korean makeup artist do only one makeup style, but Vickyc5 did all the makeup and hair according to each request from the bridesmaids.
All my bridesmaids were asian but not all korean.
Vickyc5 totally understood what we wanted and each of us were very happy by being ourselves.(not looking the same as each other)
And both moms were super satisfied as well, because everyone was keep saying our moms look amazingly young.
I did my wedding and studio photoshoot also in Korea, but Vickyc5 did a much better job on the makeup and hair than other services.

I cannot thank Vicky, Leah and the VickyC5 team enough for how beautiful they made me, my mother, my mother-in-law and bridesmaids feel on wedding day. VickyC5 became my stress relief center in the year leading up to the wedding, and I am so thankful for their support and humor every time I visited their midtown office. I was so worried about my wedding day makeup looking gaudy or heavy, but VickyC5 is the hands down BEST at identifying the most flattering hair & makeup styles for each individual. My mother and mother-in-law are both very elegant and understated people, and Vicky and Leah did an incredible job at making them look classic and gorgeous.

For the wedding, I went for the package where Vicky and her team stick around for the entire day because I was doing the paebaek (Korean bowing) ceremony, and I was also changing my dress and hair for the reception portion of the evening. To say Vicky and her team went above and beyond would be an understatement. My bridesmaids and family members were shocked by how involved and generous Vicky and Leah were throughout the day. If they noticed a stray hair on any member of the bridal party or our family members they'd whip out their makeup kits or hair tools and fix their hair and make up. Honestly, Vicky felt like my aunt the day of my wedding. I could tell she was genuinely invested in making sure I felt and looked beautiful on wedding day, and it was so comforting on such a hectic day.

Thank you Leah for my incredible engagement shoot and wedding day makeup, Hera for my engagement shoot hair and Amy for the most va va voom eyelash extensions! We used Vicky C5 twice, once for my Paebaek (Korean wedding ceremony) and again for my wedding. The team is amazing. I didn't have to describe in too much detail what I wanted, just showed a picture and boom, it was done. For makeup, my description was "I want something natural yet fun" and I got exactly what I wanted. I got so many compliments on my wedding day, and the makeup stayed on even after sweating from being on the dance floor.

The Vickyc5 team is the best of the best. I had my make up and hair done for our engagement shoot as well as the wedding itself, and they truly make you look and feel like the best version of yourself! Their make up is beautiful but still natural and there isn't a hairstyle that they can't do. They are full of suggestions and we ended up doing a half-up, half-down do for the first look, an up-do with the veil for the ceremony and a down do for the reception. They also switched up the make-up a bit for the reception to go with the party mood. It also doesn't hurt that they are lovely and full of positive vibes. I wish I could get my make-up and hair done by them every day!

I had heard of VickyC5 (Korean Makeup Artist) from my bridesmaids as they had been in weddings that used VickyC5 for hair and make-up. I saw photos and everyone looked amazing so decided to go with them for my wedding. We had Amy for make-up and Hera for hair. The whole team was very easy to work with. They made sure that each of my bridesmaids got a look that made them look and feel great (not just one look for everyone). The team made the process very fun and enjoyable. They’re very thorough in keeping track of the looks and details that you want for the wedding and executed perfectly on the wedding day. They were ready to help with whatever they could even if it wasn’t hair and make-up related (Amy helped tie my sash on my wedding dress!). I found the ladies of VickyC5 at the weddingwire wedding expo in Manhattan and had them do a free quick makeup trail at the expo. Right then and there I knew these ladies were it! (I was also very surprised something useful came out of this expo!).

This hair and makeup team really is wonderful! They are very responsive via email and were able to work with me and my budget. Additionally, as a package deal, they offered me a hair and makeup trial for free with my purchase (the package came with eye lashes and airbrush for everyone in the party). During the trail, Alice spent over 2 hours on me, trying 4 completely different hair looks and a few different makeup looks. She was very receptive to my comments and ideas and we worked together to find a look that was beautiful! I had my maid of honor with me and she was also very impressed. Not to mention, her application of lashes was very comfortable (she applied individual strands for a more natural look which I appreciated) and the makeup brushes she used were soft and pleasant to the skin. The airbrush also was very thinly applied and looked VERY natural. This was incredibly important to me as I cannot stand the heavy, caked on looked (and neither can my husband). It was important to me that it looked like I wasn't wearing much makeup, just "enhanced" a bit. Upon leaving my trial, she asked me to send pictures of my bridesmaids so that she may see what kind of makeup and hair would look best on them during my big day. She also thoroughly documented everything we did and noted the colors we selected.

On the actual day, the team showed up promptly on time and set up in my hotel room. They alternated between hair and makeup for girls and everyone looked absolutely stunning once they were finished. Also, I should note that my ceremony was outdoors on a hot sunny day in June. Everyone was sweating profusely but the makeup lasted through that, and then all evening through dancing, cake frosting, lots of kisses!

VickyC5 is one of the most experienced and skilled in the NY/NJ area (she even did make up/hair for my cousin's wedding)- and I was really happy with the results. One of the main things I looked for in make up artists/hairstylists was the ability to speak Korean so that they can communicate with my parents and the in-laws. VickyC5 traveled to our hotel and provided styling and make-up services for me, my parents, and my in-laws - and everyone looked great and had fun getting ready together (the head make-up artist is a good conversationalist). VickyC5 wasn't the cheapest, but I don't think brides should go for the cheapest (you get what you pay for) - VickyC5 has been doing wedding make up/hair for years and they are reliable and know what they are doing. Highly recommend!

My wedding was on May 28, 2016 and Vicky and her team traveled to my parents' house in Long Island to do hair/makeup for me, 4 bridesmaids and my mom. Vicky was super responsive and professional and even called me the day before to confirm the time of arrival along with the schedule for the day of. They are super prompt and even arrived 15 mins earlier than the scheduled time which was great! They did an awesome job, and everyone loved their hairstyles & makeup - Vicky has such creativity in the way she styles hair - it's absolutely gorgeous. We decided to get marry abroad and I got in contact with Vicky just a few weeks before our wedding day not knowing that usually you have to make an apointment months ahead. I´m not very good at putting make up on myself and those times I've been with an artist in my country I´ve always been disapointed because they don´t know how to apply on an asian girl with monolid eyes. So when I found out Vicky know asian type I really hoped they have time for me. From first mail contact, Vicky has been very professional, fast reply and very eager to help. I got to know they squeezed me in before opening hour only because they wanted to help me fulfill my day. The makeup was perfect and my husband to be couldn´t stop give me sweet compliments. I knew I wanted to book Vicky and her team after seeing their work first hand when I was a bridesmaid for my MOH's wedding. Ladies, if you are Korean/Asian and especially if you have monolids, you know the struggle of getting your eye makeup done professionally. It was a must-have for me to have a Korean makeup artist for my wedding. A few things that I want to point out that made my experience so positive:
- I struggle with eyeliner/mascara smudging issues, but through Vicky's magic, nothing moved or needed to be touched up from 9am through midnight that day.
- I had a very intricate updo, each of my bridesmaids have varying textures/length/style of hair and no one's hair budged at all, even through all our dancing and the after party
- I also have dry skin and usually any long lasting products gets cakey throughout the day; but again, after 15 hours of dancing, photos, change of location and clothes, everything looked just as dewy, fresh and lovely as when first applied.
- I'm sure if you have an exact look they can replicate it to a T. But I wasn't sure what I wanted; Vicky worked with me to develop a style that went with my dress, flowers, bridesmaids dresses, colors and venue style.
- Trial makeup session included for certain packages; I used it for my engagement shoot day and photos turned out amazing.

Vicky was so professional that the morning of my wedding was so calm and relaxing and not at all chaotic. She and her crew arrived on time and had us ready on time, even with me having to leave in the middle of getting ready to go pick up my wedding dress! Vicky's team did a fantastic job with the hair and makeup for my wedding in Atlantic City! Thank you Vicky, Hera and Kevin! I can honestly say that I have never looked more beautiful (and the same is true for my mom and my sister who also had their makeup done). All my bridesmaids are very happy with their hair and makeup too. Vicky's team were both so sweet, and made me feel totally confident that I would look fantastic. They made me look exactly how I wanted and really did make me look like the best version of myself. Not only did they do a great job with my hair and makeup, they also go above and beyond to help me with other wedding details. Right before I went down the aisle, Hera saw that I didn't put down the dress train (it's bustled) and she helped me to put it down so I can show the beautiful train when I walk down the aisle. My wedding planner and bridesmaids didn't catch it. Vicky also gave us some good tips on photo shoots. Hiring Vicky for my wedding is one of the best decisions I've ever made and I couldn't be happier with my choice.

Vicky and her team were amazing. As the bride, I highly recommend them. They go above and beyond. I would like to think I was an easy breezy bride, but being that I wasn't used to having my makeup done, I was often nervous of looking like a cross dresser/drag queen, but Vicky was kind and patient. In the end, she made me look and feel beautiful. During the trial, she wasn't able to get the hairstyle I wanted quite right, and she took extra time another day to try again, and on my wedding day, they made my hair look beautiful and fierce. I can't say enough great things about Vicky and her team. They also did a wonderful job on all of my bridesmaids. Where can I start? The Vickyc5 team (Amy and Hera) were awesome! They came early to set up and as soon as my bridesmaids came to my hotel room, it was ready set go. All my bridesmaids hair and make up were so beautifully done. Hera did the hair and Amy did the make up. Both of them were seamless in how they work. Of course, my hair and make up were perfect. After the preparation, I took a lot of bridal party pictures and needed a lot of touch ups before the ceremony. Hera and Amy were there ready and made sure I looked perfect for the ceremony as well as the reception. After the ceremony, I had family pictures to take and didn't think I would have time to do the touch up again. But without any words, Hera and Amy came to me and did the touch ups in a blink of an eye. They were accommodating, professional, and fantastic. I am so happy with how my hair and makeup turned out for my wedding and bridal party thanks to VickyC5. I wanted a low side bun with braids for my ceremony hair and Hera did an amazing job. I had a few photos to show the type of hair I wanted and she was able to re-create the style but in a way that was flattering to my face/head shape. Hera and her team also did the hair for my 4 bridesmaids and they all looked so pretty. In my opinion, even the way they did a simple half up/half down style with curls was very modern and flattering. Seriously my bridesmaids looked GOOD. Now that I've raved about our hairstyles, I also want to mention how great my make-up artist, Amy, was. She was very gentle and detailed in her application of makeup and knew exactly what to do even if I gave little to no direction. I just showed her my dress and she was able to do a makeup style that matched perfectly. Since I had a different dress for my reception, I also opted to get touch ups after the ceremony for myself and my bridesmaids. Amy gave each of us a darker, smoky eye look for the evening. Usually I look like someone punched me in the eyes when I do a smoky eye look but she did it in a way that was subtle and pretty. I also let my hair down for the reception and Hera managed to make my hair look awesome even with all the hairspray and bobby pins from my previous look. All in all, VickyC5 was very professional, attentive, accommodating and very easy to work with. I highly recommend them for wedding hair and makeup and also for the touch ups. You want to look good during the whole wedding and if you shed a few tears during the ceremony, VickyC5 will be sure to help!

I am IN LOVE with these ladies! They were fantastic at delivering a made-up but natural look and knew exactly what to do with my eyes/bone structure (as an Asian girl, I've had my fair share of bad experiences with MUAs who didn't know what they were doing). I booked them for the on-site service as well (I would definitely recommend this!), so I was able to have a few different hairstyles/makeup looks throughout the day. They also went above and beyond, helping to make sure that all the girls looked good in their dresses, fixing my veil/dress/accessories as I got ready to walk down the aisle, and showing us how to hide tissues in our bouquets in case we cried during the ceremony. VickyC5 was my favorite vendor to work with. I had them do my hair and makeup for my engagement shoots and wedding, and could not be happier with how it all turned out. They are incredibly talented (especially for Asians), and I'm still amazed at what they can do in a fraction of the time it takes me to do my own makeup.

In the months leading up to my wedding, I saw Vicky, Hera, Amy and the rest of her team several times and found them to be incredibly warm and sweet. Even though they probably interact with hundreds of brides, they still made the effort to get to know me and make sure every detail was in place for my wedding. They were always responsive when I had to make changes and helpful in figuring out the schedule.

As for my wedding day, I cannot say enough wonderful things about Vicky and her team. They were so organized and attentive. I had an ambitious schedule with 11 of us requiring hair and makeup, and on top of that I was running late. With all that was going on, I never had to worry about them - Vicky kept everyone on time and didn't require much guidance. They knew exactly what to do for each girl to highlight her attributes and still fit within the overall look I was going for. Even for myself, I trusted Vicky to run with it, and I loved her style. Everyone kept raving about how stunning my bridesmaids and I looked!

I also opted for the extra hours of touch-ups and it was definitely worth it - I was able to have a different hairstyle for photos, ceremony and reception. More importantly, having Vicky there throughout the day helped me feel more relaxed and confident - I knew she would create gorgeous looks and fix anything. She went above and beyond - spontaneously deciding to use flowers from my floral arrangements in my hair (which I got so many compliments on), following me around for extra touch-ups and even waiting with me before I walked down the aisle!

Hiring VickyC5's team was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. After a so-so makeup trial with another vendor.. I knew it was time to go to the real professionals. 15 minutes into my trial with Hera and Amy, I knew they were the vendor for me. Hera was so quick in arranging 3 completely different hair styles. Amy was a great listener and delivered my makeup vision in the first try. This is important. Some makeup artists can only do makeup a certain way. I could feel the quality of the products they used. It felt like I wasn't wearing any makeup at all. The package included airbrush and fake lashes for everyone in my party. A lot of other vendors charge separately.

The day of the wedding, Amy, Hera and Angie arrived early. They were very organized and professional. You can tell they've done this many times and are VETERANS in this industry. Every single one of my bridesmaids had beautiful hair and makeup. Both my mom and mother-in-law looked SO gorgeous! I almost couldn't recognize my mom because she looked so much younger! They stuck to my schedule and even finished a little earlier which is a BIG DEAL on your wedding day.

I decided to keep them for the full day. It was well worth the extra expense. The amount of touch-ups everyone got was incredible. It was definitely necessary on such a hot day in July. You want to feel beautiful and confident on your big day. Having them there made me more relaxed because I know they could fix anything :)

If you are looking for a makeup vendor for your wedding, you have come to the right place. I cannot say enough wonderful things about them. They went above and beyond in their services. They even helped out in ways that weren't even in their job description. They were so sweet to tuck tissues in my BM's bouquets, completely re-do the flower girl's floral wreath (since it didn't fit when it arrived from the florist), they even took pictures on my camera (without me even asking) during the ceremony.

VickyC5 is great. From some of the different places I inquired from, they had the best value and were very upfront about everything. They of course tell you what they offer and some suggestions based on the size of your wedding party, where your wedding will take place, etc., but they never pressure you to add to your package more than you want. The make up was beautiful for everyone and stayed on all day long. We started getting ready at 4am (Yes, they came to our hotel at 4 am!) and did my (bride) makeup, 4 bridesmaids, and 2 mothers to finish by 7am (they finished before that with a team of 4 people) and our makeup stayed until way past the end of our reception at 5pm. They even throw in doing the grooms hair (and a little bit of makeup), so everyone looks great.

When looking at their website and sample bride pictures, almost all the brides have very natural makeup. I wanted more contouring, smokey eyes, etc., so I had some reservations when deciding to go with them. BUT HAVE NO FEAR! They can do it all and it will stay on our face forever! Okay, not forever, but it will last through a super hot humid 3 hour engagement shoot in Central Park and 10+ hours of wedding day photo taking, ceremony, and reception (dancing, eating, sweating, craziness!).

They're amazing at hair and makeup, but they also offer other services such as facials and body treatments. You may be able to find the same treatments for a bit cheaper elsewhere, but the treatments were great and worth it! I did several treatments for about 2 months leading up the wedding and it made a big difference. I highly recommend them!

These ladies (Amy, Angie, and Jen) are so quiet and unobtrusive, but I felt their strength and support all day, which was the best balm for my bridal nerves. Amy even helped me bustle my dress at one point when I didn't have anyone around me at that moment - she is truly multi talented. Our hair and makeup trial before the wedding went so smoothly, and Amy was incredibly flexible as I changed my mind several times about what type of hair I wanted. On the day of my wedding, I saw her detailed facial sketches of how she planned to contour my face and do my makeup. I am just so impressed and honored to have had Amy head my hair / makeup team. Love these ladies!

VickyC5 was wonderful - we had three people come in and help the wedding party and mothers get ready (hair and makeup). It was completed efficiently and everyone was delighted with the outcome. As the bride, I had a test run and found the experience to be very versatile and flexible because I was not sure what I wanted. I highly recommend. I was delighted with the outcome.

I recently got married on June 12, 2015 and I was also referred to VickyC5 through a friend who used their services as well for her wedding. There are not enough words to describe how professional the entire team was from start to finish. I was assigned Amy for makeup and Hera for hair. Amy is quiet but once she makes a joke it will crack you up. Hera knows how to entertain and tell stories. They took one look at the picture I had in mind for me and my bridesmaids and they executed it to perfection!

It was during the trial that I found out how genuinely kind they are and extremely considerate. They did not push any other styles but the ones I have chosen and in a blink of an eye, they were able to capture my vision.

The day of the wedding, they were early to set up and made sure I got plenty of rest and time to relax before it was my turn to get all glamoured up. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone's hair and makeup was intact. Everyone LOVED our hair and makeup!! My makeup was flawless and thanks to Hera's suggestion, I was able to showcase different hairstyles. I can't stress enough how amazing this team really is...even Vicky came by to check on everyone when she wasn't scheduled to and made sure everyone was happy.

I would recommend VickyC5 to anyone who is engaged and looking for a great team of artists that will make your big day that much more special!! I sincerely thank Vicky, Amy and Hera for making my day extraordinary!!!

I just had my wedding on 6/5 and Amy and Hera were amazing!! They came a bit earlier than scheduled to set up in the bridal suite. The bridal suite wasn't really meant to be used as a "getting ready" place but they made it work. They were so bubbly and friendly and made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed.

Amy did my makeup and a few of my bridesmaids and both mothers. Everyone complimented us and how good we looked. Hera also did an amazing job on all of our hairs. She was so fast and pretty much styled our hair exactly the way we wanted.

I got the package where they stay for 3 hours after the ceremony to do touch ups. They were willing to style my flower girls hair, grooms hair and makeup, and my dads hair all without charge. They were so accommodating and seriously their main concern was to make sure the bride looked good. :) I recommended them to all my friends who recently got engaged and in general, I recommend them to everyone who's looking for a down to earth, talented beauty team.

I would highly recommend Vicky C5 for any bride! I hired Vicky C5 to provide hair styling for myself and my bridal party for my May 2015 wedding. They also styled my hair for my rehearsal dinner and also did the hair and make-up for my post-wedding brunch. Vicky and Hera were the main stylists on my wedding day, and they were extremely professional throughout the whole day. They were punctual, talented and attentive towards myself, all of my bridesmaids, and the moms. Everyone was completely happy with their looks, and I couldn't of asked for anything better - they are the best!!

Hera and Alice did my hair and makeup for a traditional Korean paebaek studio photos. They took care of the hanbok rental and were ready to go as soon as my husband and I arrived to the studio.

We were 10 minutes late so they immediately jumped into action with my hair and makeup. They are so friendly and sweet that there's no need to warm up to them. Although we jumped right into getting ready, it didn't feel rushed. Their joyous personalities were really fun to be around while getting ready.

As for the hair and makeup itself, they are true professionals! Being Asian, I find that not all makeup artists know how to do my makeup, but they knew exactly how to give me the appropriate look for paebaek photos. Then I got to change into a second outfit, and seriously in the quickness, they gave me a new hairstyle and adjusted my makeup so I would look different.

The communication with VickyC5 was done all through email and very diligent. I wouldn't hesitate to hire this company for your bridal needs. The fact that they offer makeup/hair services and hanbok rental for a paebaek photoshoot is beyond unique.

For everything included in the paebaek package (makeup, hair, photoraphy, 8x10, etc.), this was a really good value. I would work with VickyC5 again or recommend them to my friends. Personality + skill = on point!

(edit) Almost forgot to add, during the paebaek photoshoot, they kept adjusting me for practically every photo to make sure everything was straight, perfect, etc. They even added more makeup in between shots if they need. I had their full on attention for 2.5 hours although we were contracted to work together for 2 hours. They are more than hair/makeup artists. They are art directors!

Vicky and her team are an amazing group of people. We had an early start to the day because our traditional tea ceremony was held early in the morning. They showed up at my parents house at 4:30am to beautify 7 of us! They did my sister's wedding in 2011, along with my friend's wedding that same year in which I was also a bridesmaid, and both times I was very impressed with their services. I did not even look anywhere else. I just knew I can trust her and her whole team.

Vicky just goes above and beyond for you. She did for my sister and she did for me. I can almost guarantee we will be using her again. I loved how everything turned out. Everyone looked natural, make-up wasn't too heavy looking, and the hair was beautiful.

Vicky and her team is almost like family to us! They treated us so well!

VickyC5 was my favorite vendor for my wedding. I have had my makeup professionally done on numerous occasions and have never fully liked the results until Vicky and her team came along. i got an engagement makeup/hair session, facial, wedding hair/makeup trial and eyelash extensions prior to the wedding and i've loved each service.

They did all the hair and makeup for my bridal party and mother's and everyone came out looking great. I also paid to have them come to the venue to do touch ups for everyone and she changed up my hair a little bit and made my makeup more appropriate for an evening party so i was able to have a 2nd look. i received so many compliments on my hair and makeup that day and felt beautiful. My hair never came undone from my up-do and my makeup was flawless. i loved them!!!!! can't begin to explain how awesome they were. totally worth what they charge because it is a true professional team with so much experience in weddings.

VickyC5 is THE best!
I had Vicky and her team do my wedding and engagement hair and makeup. They are always on time and did everything to my liking. For my wedding, Vicky and her team arrived on time. They did hair and makeup for my 3 bridesmaids, 2 mothers and sister in law. We all looked amazing!

I also did a series of facials in preparation for my wedding. THey were SO relaxing. I fell asleep so many times there. Also, did eyelash extensions, which were full and natural looking. Even 2 months after the wedding, I still have them on!!

Vicky and her team are so professional and friendly. Their service is great. They are experts at what they do. Vicky understood what I wanted and was able to make her own recommendations that suited me. Even when she was scheduled with another client, Vicky still personally looked over my hair and/or makeup to make sure everything was perfect.

I've had my fair share of experience with many makeup artists. And by far, no one can compare with VickyC5. I would recommend them to everyone!

I was the maid of honor for my sister's wedding and I was very impressed by their professionalism and level of service. They helped to have all the girls ready on time and we all looked amazing. One of the bridesmaid had short hair and they made it to a beautiful updo! All our hair and makeup lasted over 12 hours without retouching!!!!!

I had such a wonderful experience working with Vickyc5. I had my wedding in October of this year, and I had two trials prior to Vicky that weren't great. They didn't listen to me and I didn't look great at all. I was losing heart when I found Vickyc5. It was such a different experience with Vicky and her staff. They were very attentive and listened to what I wanted. They were also good with Asian faces (I am Korean) and knew what to do to make me look beautiful. I didn't feel rushed or shy about expressing my opinions.

On the day of the wedding, I went to get made up with my mother in law. My mother in law is Indian and we both looked like ourselves but much more glamorous. We weren't rushed and the work was great and Vicky even offered for me to come back later that day if I needed a touchup.

I purchased a facial package while getting ready for the big day and I also got eyelash extensions for the wedding day. I thoroughly enjoyed both services and continue to go there regularly. Their quality of work is superb and I have been to a LOT of places in the city. The studio is so clean, warm, and everyone is very nice and their quality of work is great.

I highly recommend them! They are very professional and you couldn't get better service elsewhere.

VickyC5 team was amazing to work with. I’ve hired them for 4 bridesmaids, mom and myself for hair and makeup for my wedding day.

Their professionalism and experiences of bride hair and makeup definitely shined on my wedding day. On my wedding day, they showed up early and started prepping and made a nice little hair and makeup area which looked amazing in our photographer’s pictures. Vicky even gave me suggestions how to pose since I was feeling awkward that the photographers taking pictures of me getting ready. Amy even looked at my photographer’s pictures and adjusted my makeup a little bit so the pictures to come out better. At the end, the makeup looked natural yet amazing for all my bridesmaids and myself. Our beautiful hair and makeup stayed perfect during the windy outdoor photoshoots to 5 hours of dancing to our after party.

One thing that I absolutely love and suggest to all the bride is VickyC5’s staff on site. At first, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to pay extra for one but since I had 2 very different dress, I decided to hire one so I can change my hair for the ceremony to reception. And it was worth every penny. They were so quick at changing my up-do hair to down curly and even changed makeup so it would look better. They were so quick at changing my look that even my planner and hotel staffs were impressed. In addition to changing my hair, they retouched my BM and mom’s hair and makeup so everybody would look beautiful. They even went beyond their duties and bustled my huge Vera Wang dress when my BM were struggling and changed my accessories for me. SIMPLY AMAZING!

If you are looking for a hair and makeup artist who will give you no trouble and makes you look and feel amazing throughout the night, I would go with VickyC5 without any hesitation. I am forever thankful for their services especially more now since I just got my photos from my photographer and my hair and makeup remained pristine throughout the night.

This review is long overdue. However, it is better late than never.

As the end of the year is approaching, I wanted to take time out to think about all those who have helped me get through 2014. The team of VicyC5, amongst the few others, definitely got me through this year "beautifully."

They were absolutely amazing! From the consultation, hair, and to the application of the makeup, everyone was very professional and competent. I have had my makeup done by VickyC5 on numerous occasions, as I have been a bridesmaid for many of my friends. All of my friends used them on their wedding day, so I got a chance to see what their makeup skills were like even before my wedding day. I loved them. The previous times, makeup was applied onto me as a bridesmaid, and I thought they did a great job, but on my wedding day, it was far more than great; it was perfect! I can honestly say, Vicky and Hera made me look ravishing! And thanks to Amy, my eyelashes remained intact for weeks. Actually, it stayed on for 3 and a half weeks.

I am very selective about my makeup and hair. With that said, if I have selected VickyC5, it is clearly evident that the team of VickyC5 is beyond just competent; they truly know what beauty is about and how to make a person look and feel gorgeous. This is the first review I have written for any venue where I can honestly say they are a perfect 5 out of 5. I will continuously use them for other events, too. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!! vickyc5 is a makeup atelier located in NY and it's probably one of the most trendiest place. They are trendy in a way that they know how to do the most natural makeup but still making you look beautiful and glowing. I got my hair, makeup and eyelash extensions here and they were not only super professional but really good at what they do. On the wedding day, a team of people came on time ready to go and we were there for about 3 hours and my group of bridesmaid and I were done. They are super nice and they are also really experienced. I recommended this place to everyone anyone I know and they've been also super impressed by their services.
