It was amazing working with The Make Me Glamorous team for my wedding, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From the moment we had our trial session, I knew I was in great hands. Gina Marie, truly listened to my vision and made me feel comfortable, offering suggestions that perfectly enhanced my natural features while staying true to my desired look.
On the wedding day, She was so professional, and incredibly calming, and so sweet! The hair and makeup not only looked flawless in person but photographed beautifully with a long-lasting finish that held up through tears, dancing, and a full day of celebrations.
My bridal party and family members that received services all looked amazing too!
Gina Marie, is an absolute gem. You, can see she loves her craft! I can't recommend her and her team enough! Thank you!

Gina and her team were absolutely incredible! We were a big group 14 for makeup and 12 for hair. They finished us early had time for touch ups and nothing about it fell rushed. Everyone, looked perfect! The day moved seamlessly and smoothly. Gina and her team are one of the best in the bridal industry. Stress Free!
Ginamarie she made me feel so commutable with her experience and knowledge on not just hair and makeup but the whole day. From, day one to the wedding day the whole experience was great! Her communication with me was timely and professional with every email and question I had. A month before Ginamarie made a schedule for my wedding everyone had an appointment time. She also gave a prep tips guide. On, my wedding day Ginamarie and her team arrived on time and ready to work! They completed 12 ladies in 4.5 hours! Clearly, they know what they are doing! I was very impressed. Everyone, looked amazing even at the end of the day! Thank you!

Incredible hair and makeup!!!!
Absolutely incredible!! Gina and her team did hair and makeup artist for my bridal party and myself. She was very helpful in helping create my final look, and it turned out beautifully! So many compliments! Both hair and makeup stayed put all night! Gina was very detailed oriented and helpful in providing tips not only for the look for my wedding, but also for my everyday look.

Booking Gina to do the makeup for my bridesmaids, MOB, MOG, and myself was one of the best decisions that I made for my wedding! She was at our venue early, and got all 8 of us done in the perfect amount of time before my first look with my husband! She perfectly captured my glam look, but still made me feel like me. I felt absolutely gorgeous, and so special. I know my bridesmaids and the mothers felt the same way about their looks. Would 10/10 recommend her and her team at Make Me Glamorous Bridal Hair & Makeup for your wedding! She is reasonably priced, and comes with a ton of experience and professionalism. I loved how she offers the opportunity to schedule her to stay later into your wedding day for touch ups! Definitely recommend her and her team! -

So let’s talk about Gina.
She is an absolute artist. I had a loose idea of what I wanted, and otherwise I said, “make me look hot!” and she sure nailed it!
Gina and her team came to our venue (which was quite a hike for them) and managed to do hair and make-up for myself (the bride), 8 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls, and 1 mom. Initially the girls that went earlier were worried about their hair & make-up staying flawless from the morning to the ceremony & photos, and then through the reception, but that was not an issue at all. First, before they left they made sure anyone that felt they needed a quick touch-up was taken care of. They were so wonderful with our flower girls who kept “needing” touch-ups (they were enjoying the pampering quite a bit!) But the truth is everyone stayed put together quite well – which amazes me because usually most of us can’t keep our hair from going all over the place within 5 minutes of leaving the house.
Gina did all of the make-up for the girls, and she takes such pride in her work. She made sure that every little detail was perfect, and made sure that everyone was confident in how they looked. All of the girls and the family members who were hanging around the house kept asking me, “where did you find them? They’re AMAZING!”
I wanted my hair down for part of the day and then pinned back up, so I hired Gina to stay on for a few extra hours. She was honestly so supportive and was a calming force for me that day. She was so patient and made sure I felt beautiful throughout. She even snapped some photos for us, and these were some of the first ones I saw from the day.
Gina and her team did great work and really went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt their absolute best that day.

Gina was ABSOLUTELY amazing! She traveled up to Fairfax, VT with her assistant for my wedding. Total, we had 7 bridesmaids, 1 mother of the bride and myself. She is highly skilled in her craft and I truly felt more beautiful than I have ever felt in my life. She listened to me and my girls and truly went above and beyond. You can tell she is passionate about what she does and the aesthetic she creates is unbelievable. She and Michelle were punctual, professional, and so fun and down-to-Earth. Most importantly though, they are both super talented! As a person who wears makeup every day, I wasn’t looking for a very “natural” look, but a lot of my bridesmaids were. Gina was able to create absolutely beautiful looks for each of us that were tailored to our comfort levels.

Amanda Sent on 11/18/2016After struggling to find a make up artist that understood my vision, and paying for way too many trials with several make up artists, I was thrilled to find Gina. She took the time to sit with me, look at pictures of what I liked and did not like, and really listened to me. She had the patience of a saint and was diligent to ensure that I felt comfortable and was happy with what she presented for me. From the day I booked her I felt a sense of relief, since I trusted her so much. On the day of my wedding, she came early to set up in my hotel room and her team was extremely prompt as well. Every single girl in my bridal party, as well as both my mother and mother-in-law (who aren't easy to please) were so happy with their makeup and hair. I couldn't have asked for kinder or a more talented team of make up artists, who were even ahead of time on the schedule we created. I loved them so much and highly recommend them to all my friends, family, and anyone who wants to feel incredible on their wedding day! Jennifer Sent on 12/07/2013We worked with Gina, who brought one of her assistants for my wedding day to accommodate our large group. They did hair and makeup (some airbrush, some not) for the mother of the bride, two grandmothers, and four bridesmaids, in addition to doing mine! Gina also came to my parents' house to do a hair/makeup trial about 4 months prior to the wedding day at a reasonable price. I ultimately ended up deciding to change up my hairstyle a little from what she had done at the trial on the day of, with no prior warning, and she was very good about that too.
Overall, they were great to work with and we all looked beautiful! :) -

As a bride, I gave Gina very little guidance, i never did a trial, and on the day of my wedding i brought two pictures of hair i liked, and said "make my eyes look good." With only those two pieces of information, she did an incredible job. My hair was amazing, and stayed all night. All of the bridesmaids looked incredible, and i have zero complaints. Would def recommend!

Unfortunately, I just came back from vacation and got a severe case of the flu. I was really looking forward to working Laura’s wedding. What fun a NYE wedding at a castle! I was so looking forward to it! This was a hard decision for me. But, I was able to a line a great replacement and knew Laura would be in the best hands. Wedding Review
Very reasonably priced for great service. Was able to accommodate almost 20 services in a 5-hour time slot. Each service was fast, allowing us to be ahead of schedule, while also having the quality you want for your special day. My bridal hair and makeup was everything I wanted and had envisioned and my bridesmaids were pleased with theirs as well. I had also done a consultation/trial prior to the wedding and Gina provided excellent help in selecting extensions that were color matched and blended in seamlessly. -

Loved Trial so much, Wedding hair didn’t last and now looking at pictures wasn’t what I wanted at all, not only did she not take as much time on some of the girls and still had same set price, I honesty don’t like my hair in some pictures.
I am super picky so I would still recommend her, but more if your going with simpler looks, braids are not her strong suit.
I also have long thick hair and even though I asked to make sure I didn’t look bald, she didn’t part my hair correctly.
I also added a hair clip and doesn’t seem like it was put in the best.

Hi Cassandra, I apologize you feel that way. I absolutely love what I do and take great pride in my work. I arrived to your wedding 10 minutes ahead of time to set up and make sure your day was smooth. I asked everyone for a picture and when completed asked everyone if they were happy. I even gave everyone a mirror to go do a 360 look to make sure and even took pictures of the back. I even adjusted your mom’s part and front pieces to make sure she is as completely happy. I even had down time. I sat for over 30 minutes waiting for clients to sit in my chair. There was more than enough time scheduled. I had time to adjust your hair if you wanted to. I would have even stayed later. Because, making my clients happy is what I love! So, there was no rushing involved. Unfortunately, with hair clients don’t always have the same texture as the person in the picture or the hair wasn’t prepped properly (like heavy conditioners or serums were used prior) this can lead to hair not holding on top of rain and wind. So, I do my best with years of experience and the love of what I do. But, due to unfortunate factors help play a roll in hair not lasting. -

TLDR: Poor scheduling, unprofessional, hires subcontractors without knowing their quality, stingy with refunds for unusably poor work, and only gives refunds if you sign a contract stating that you will not write a negative review
I had an Extremely poor experience working with Glam Me Up Down the Aisle, specifically with Gina, the owner. This is the only negative review I am writing for my wedding - everyone else I worked with for our wedding was amazing. Four days before my wedding, Gina messaged to say that both the hair and makeup artist she had originally scheduled me with had an unexpected schedule change. She told me that she had booked artists (subcontracted) and “I do believe Melissa is going to be extremely happy with the outcome in the long run. As, I have worked with these artist's before and, know the work they do”.
Originally we had agreed upon 3 hours total for makeup and 3 hours and 15 minutes for hair for myself and 3 other people. When she informed me of the replacement with the subcontractors, she also changed the scheduled include only two hours to do both hair and makeup. Bridal hair time had been cut to only 30 minutes from an hour and make up time was 15 minutes shorter. I was obviously upset, especially since I had opted instead of buying a veil to do an elaborate crown braid with hair extensions. Since our time had been cut by a third, I asked if there would be a serious discount proportional to the cut in time. When you are paying $1044 total for services, you expect full services. She came back offering to knock off $25 dollars. This felt like a complete slap in the face. My wedding planner helped to find someone who could do my hair last minute (only person we could find available at such short notice), so I would at least have my dream hair for $300. When I asked Gina to discount me the $300 so I could still have my wedding hair the way I wanted it, she responded that the contractors could actually work with the schedule we had planned, and there was no need to cut services.
The morning of the wedding came, and thank goodness, the hair stylist she provided was able to do my hair beautifully. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the makeup. The eye shadow did not match the example (attached) at all, it was also poorly blended and went up instead of out. Spaced out uneven eyeliner, messy unbrushed brows, foundation was uneven and many shades too dark. Mascara was not well done and she kept getting it on my eye shadow. She offered to redo the makeup, but it was clear that she did not yet have the skill level for my bridal look. Luckily my Maid-of-honor came to the rescue, and between the two of us, we were able to fix everything with only running 15 minutes late for the first look.
While Gina had initially stated that she knew the subcontractors and was confident with their work, when I brought photos the terrible makeup job to her attention she said she thought they would be fine from their facebook page (which implied to me she had never worked with them). She offered a partial refund of my makeup (my hair and makeup total was $325 for myself, so half for makeup would be 162.50). Gina offered an $100 refund while complaining in her email that she was personally taking a loss on this. Worse, there was a stipulation to the refund: I would not be able to write a negative review, since we were not able to do a trial run (who has run for a trial run when given 3 days notice when travelling from California to Vermont?). Clearly, I did not sign the paper and will not be receiving a refund. I believe in accountability in business and wanted this review out there.
I understand that things can go wrong - schedules and subcontractors included. However, Gina was given several opportunities to solve these problems in a professional manner, and I was completely unsatisfied with how she handled these situations.
