Perfect Wedding Reception Venue
We had our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception at Magnolia. We got married in August 2020 during COVID so our plans were up in the air in the months leading up to the event due to the ever-changing rules. Magnolia worked everything through with us to accommodate the changes necessary to have the wedding reception we always envisioned. Originally, our rehearsal dinner was supposed to be at a different location and the reception was supposed to be in the 17th by Magnolia ballroom, but we ended up having to move the reception to the lower level of the hotel which was initially disappointing because we loved the ballroom. However, the lower level was the perfect place for a reception! And we were able to move our rehearsal dinner to the ballroom so it was still included in our weekend. We got ready for the wedding in a few of the suites which was really nice. We also loved having Harry's right there to hang out in the evenings. All of the staff and employees we worked with were amazing from the event coordinators (Kathryn and Sam) to the chef to the front desk staff. I have nothing but good things to say about our entire experience. We wouldn't have had the perfect wedding celebration without Magnolia!-

Ashley at the Magnolia was absolutely amazing! Her attention to every little detail was unbelievable. She was not only professional but truly personable. A complete delight to work with. Our son and his bride wanted a simple wedding but with Ashley's suggestions and planning (as I was trying to plan this wedding from a great distance) the ceremony and reception went way beyond the kids expectations and they were absolutely thrilled with their wedding experience!!!! -

This venue has hired a bunch of over achievers; my husband and I could not have picked a better place to get married. We first fell in love with the Magnolia ballroom. The vaulted ceiling and skylights were magical, and the mural above the bar is so unique adding just the right amount of flair to the glamorous room. The downtown location is the perfect setting to allow guests to enjoy all Denver has to offer with 16th street mall so close and Denver Union Station just a few blocks down 17th street. We loved shooting our wedding pictures in/around the historic buildings located just next door to the Magnolia. The colors are vibrant and the city's energy is irresistible. We worked with their Venue Coordinator, Danielle. She is attentive, understanding, helpful, flexible and so many more adjectives I would list if I had more time. She worked with us regarding our schedule, room block, budget and decor offering valuable feedback, helpful tips and recommendations. She and the entire Magnolia staff seem to have a genuine understanding how important each couple's wedding day is and they all go out of their way to provide the best service. My family and friends continue to tell us how much fun the wedding was and how beautifully decorated the venue was (thanks to Danielle and team). The chef created three outstanding dishes and personally thanked my husband and I for having our wedding at their venue. It was amazing he went out of his way to thank us. The bar tenders were friendly, complimentary and accommodating throughout the entire night. Needless to say, our wedding day was magical, easy, stress-free and most importantly... FUN! I can't thank the Magnolia team enough for all they did to make both my husband and I feel so special and proud of our wedding. I give Magnolia Hotel Denver my HIGHEST recommendation. -

I can't even think of the best words to describe how amazing everyone was at the Magnolia Hotel Denver for our wedding!! We ate from Gillette, Wyoming and us as well as family and friends has to travel and we all stayed at the hotel. Most of us were on the same floor and the staff did everything and more to make our stay perfect!! Our wedding planner was Danielle Siegrist and she is one of the most calm and beautiful people I've ever met!! Planning a wedding from another state was all done over emails and a few trips to Denver for planning!! Danielle made sure everything was perfect and put up with me changing my mind a million times and asking the same questions over and over!! Everything was set up and done for us, we didn't have to do a thing but show up and have a blast!! Danielle even took a few pictures of us getting married, because we couldn't afford a photographer. This was all a surprise to me!! Danielle figured every little detail out and made everything go so great!! No complaints other than bummed it's over!! -

I highly recommend the Magnolia Hotel for any event. Danielle and all the event staff were super helpful friend and on top of it! My ceremony was a bit of a nightmare and a different location, but once we got to our reception at the Magnolia everything was perfect! The groom and I did not have to anything but enjoy our night! We were also able to stay within our budget, they have so much to offer for almost any budget it really takes away a lot of stress. The hotel staff and valet were helpful and friendly too anything we need we got. All of our wedding guest stayed at the Magnolia and loved it. We wish our rooms were on the same floor or at least not so spread out but that's ok we all got together for the special that the hotel offers! -

I had the most straight-forward planning process with the Magnolia. Danielle exceeded my expectations in a wedding planner. She helped me accomplish so many things! The staff were all extremely friendly as well as responsive to any needs we had. The venue is gorgeous and made for a perfect indoor wedding ceremony. If I had to do it all over again I would choose The Magnolia Hotel in Denver! -

Danielle, the event planner, was awesome. I had a terrible experience at another venue with my older daughters wedding 4 years ago. Danielle handled the details so that our wedding was relaxing and fun! The Venue is so elegant and unique, and created the ambiance for our celebration. We enjoyed the morning after brunch in which the bride and groom could open presents before departing on their honeymoon! -

We used the Magnolia Hotel for our guest accommodations for our wedding. They LOVED it! It's such a neat hotel and such a great area. We used them because they were the best price in Denver, but honestly, I think it was a great choice just based on how nice the hotel is as well! They have breakfast included, a happy hour, and a milk and cookie bedtime snack. So cute! We stayed there as well on our wedding night. Loved our room! They hooked us up and gave us this huge room for our king suite when I told them I'd be getting ready there with my bridesmaids. It was amazing! We worked with Nikki Katnik, she was awesome! Really great to work with and got back to me every time I had a question. Would totally recommend this place! -

The Magnolia Hotel is a fantastic place to host your event! It is a beautiful venue, in a great part of downtown Denver. The service provided is like none other. Any questions you have, Danielle (the event coordinator) will answer promptly and will work with you to meet your needs. The food is amazing and the hotel has many options to choose from when it comes to creating a menu for an event. The hotel doesn't allow outside catering, except for cake, but that wasn't an issue for us because everyone enjoyed the food so much! If anyone has dietary restrictions, the kitchen has no problem creating another meal or altering. My husband and I hosted our wedding at the Magnolia and can't stop talking about the beautiful the hotel was, how profesosional, helpful and friendly the cordinator was and how great everyone else was who helped us plan our wedding day! Overall, the Magnolia Hotel was the perfect place to have a wedding! :) -

We got married at the Magnolia and everything went perfectly! They are very responsive and provide excellent customer service. I cant say enough about the staff. They were amazing! Danielle was awesome to work with. She gave me great ideas for our Mitzvah and provided us with excellent vendors to choose from. Our venue was beautiful. The service and food were excellent. Danielle was there the entire event making sure everything was perfect. She helped coordinate our entire event. I couldn't have done it without her. I highly recommend Danielle Seigrist to help coordinate anyone's special occasion. -

I loved everyone I had the pleasure of working with for my wedding . Danielle is amazing and made sure I didn't have anything to worry about the entire weekend! She was always there if we needed her, like when we ran into billing issues with the front desk and less than an hour later everything had been resolved. Danielle also made sure to stop by the bridal room multiple times durning the day to make sure we were doing ok and didn't need anything, on top of making sure the ceremony and reception site were set up! Everything turned out exactly like I imagined and Danielle was with us every step of the way and we are so thankful for her. Between Danielle and every other person at the Magnolia who helped with the wedding planning process and the day of, all of the stress and anxiety was erased and I had no question if my vision was going to turn out. -

We had our reception in the ballroom and it turned out wonderfully. Kelsey Ray is the most responsive person I've ever met and put my mind at ease no matter how many emails I sent her! The food was outstanding and our guests were thrilled with all of the options. It is so nice to find a venue that offers buffet, plated or stations for the same price! We opted for the plated and it was perfect. Everyone's food came out quickly and hot--not lukewarm like I've had at other places.
Even when it came to paying the Magnolia was great. We worked through Tambra to make our payments and she too was incredibly responsive and made the whole process so easy!
I cannot wait to return for our complimentary stay for our anniversary next year! -

The Magnolia was a wonderful host hotel for our wedding party and guests. They hosted our rehearsal dinner in their downstairs lounge, and the space/decor worked perfectly for our group! There was plenty of space, couches, a relaxing waterfall feature, and a pool table for use during the cocktail hour. The food was excellent, and the staff were very attentive and flexible when we wanted to hang around after the conclusion of the event. Also, the concierge was extremely helpful, lining up transportation for our guests to the wedding ceremony venue 4 days before the event occurred! Finally, the breakfast included with the room fee was excellent, and provided a casual space for us to mingle with guests the morning after our wedding. -

We were very happy with everything and Kelsey Ray was a tremendous help in every way. We were a little worried at the beginning because of the remodel and the change in personnel but Kelsey put our mind at ease and assured us that everything would be fine. Kelsey was very responsive and we are very happy with our choice of venues. Everyone raved about the food and had an amazing time.

Everything was fantastic. Kelsey was on top of everything and we had a wedding where we spent all of our time enjoying the evening. We worried about nothing, but because everything was taken care of.
Apparently, we even had three guys attempt to wedding crash, but the staff spotted them immediately and took care of the situation.
And many of our guest stayed at the hotel and had nothing but wonderful things to say about the rooms and the staff. -

My husband and I wanted our special evening to go off without a hitch! Like any other couple, we were very nervous about everything falling into place. Kelsey (the wedding coordinator at The Magnolia) assured us on multiple occasions that everything would be fine. Our day came and Kelsey was there every moment to ease our minds, take care of every detail, arrange everything, take care of vendors - all while seeming to act as though she has no stress on her plate. Our event was timed perfectly and every detail was tended to. Kelsey is way ahead of her league and I strongly recommend her to host any function. I undoubtedly recommend this venue and everything that it encompasses. -

Our wedding reception at the Magnolia Ballroom was amazing! We still have guests telling us it was the best wedding they have been to. Kelsey and her staff we a pleasure to work with and made the whole experience enjoyable and stress free. Kelsey was a huge help in setting up personalized decorations in the ballroom and the event/hotel/bar staff took great care of all my guests during the reception and also at Harry's Bar after the reception ended. I wish I could do it all over again...wouldn't change a thing. Thanks again! -

Words can not say enough about the quality of service we got at Magnolia Hotel. Our guests still talk about the delicious appetizers and dinner! They want to go back just to eat it again! The staff was truly incredible, attentive and so caring! They did an amazing job making sure all of our guests were satisfied, happy and taken care of! Danielle and Kelsey were amazing to work with! Our May wedding was absolutely wonderful. Jessica was incredible - accomodating us in every way. The Lounge setting is unique, intimate, modern and chic and provides a perfect setting for an intimate event. Jessica was helpful and patient, and on the day of the wedding - everything flowed smoothly and we didn't have to think about a thing. The food and service were impeccable and though we were on a budget - we got a gorgeous day for a great price. Our out of town guests raved about the boutique hotel and the complimentary breakfast (full on hot breakfast buffet) is a money saver for those who have to travel. If you're looking for a chic downtown wedding, the folks at Magnolia will take great care of you. -

My husband and I LOVED the Magnolia Hotel Club! From the food to the service to the space to Miss Kate Kelly everything was absolutely above and beyond what I could have ever imagined. If you are looking for a fun downtown boutique atmosphere, look no further. For the amazing price we received the Magnolia included everything we wanted. From adding gravy and chips and salsa to the menu, to setting up all the votives, to making sure until the very end that we were happy, Miss Kate Kelly really made this a perfect event for us. I couldn't imagine a more perfect wedding! Thank you, for making such a happy start to a happy marriage! -

The Magnolia Hotel and the onsite catering manager, Kate Kelly, did the BEST job for our wedding! We had a small wedding (40 people) in the Club Room (it has a "water feature" which is beautiful). They did the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception. We did a plated dinner and everything tasted wonderful and the serving staff were very attentive to all the guests and could not have been friendlier. For a downtown wedding the price was VERY reasonable! As the majority of our guests were from out of town, the location was great and they gave every guest a discounted rate. I did not have to worry about a thing as Kate was so professional and definitely took care of all the fine details! If you are looking to NOT drive yourself crazy with all that has to be done for a wedding I suggest you go to the Magnolia=) -

The Magnolia Hotel was a great place to have my wedding reception. Ashley, the wedding coordinator was so great in making everything easy and she was so fun to work with. There were just a few problems that occurred with the switch to Starwood properties that did cause some stress. The reservations for a few in my wedding party were changed when the merger happened, and my cousin's reservation was cancelled altogether. However, everything was fixed quickly specifically with the wedding party reservation because of Ashley's speedy recovery! Also, there was a change in wedding coordinators due to the merger, but Ashley tried to make it the smoothest transition as possible in making sure that all the details I originally talked with the other coordinator about were honored in our agreement. I would recommend the Magnolia for future weddings! The ballroom is beautiful! I'm sure the quirks from the merger will sort it self out. -

I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to work with for my wedding. Everyone from the front desk, to the bell hops, to the event staff were consummate professionals for the whole time we worked together. They were so very accommodating with all of my special requests and never once told me no or acted like I was putting them out. I would highly recommend the Magnolia to anyone looking to have an event. They were fantastic! -

As soon as we finished our visit at the Magnolia last summer, we knew that we had found our perfect reception venue. Though the food/beverage minimum was a little higher than we had initially wanted to spend, the service and experience we got at Magnolia made it all worth it. Kelsey was so responsive to us through the process and was so helpful when I had questions. She was unable to attend our reception, but her assistant was super attentive throughout the reception and made sure everything went smoothly All of our out of town guests stayed at the Magnolia, and I heard nothing but positive reviews from them about their experience at the hotel. The staff was incredible -- especially when a monsoon hit! I don't even know how many different Magnolia staffers came outside to meet our guests, and then our bridal party bus, with umbrellas to make sure everyone made it between the hotel and the ballroom without getting soaked. Thanks Magnolia, we can't wait to come back soon! -

Everything was excellent and the staff was very professional, friendly, polite, and accommodating. The only negative feedback we had from our guests was they had to ask for cake because it was not being passed out and there were not enough pieces cut from the sheet cake in advance. Also, we did not see a veggie taco in the action stations we had planned out ahead of time.
If we could do the whole wedding over again, we would. The Magnolia was awesome! -

I worked with Danielle at the Magnolia and she was wonderful during the year that we planned our wedding. Her flexibility and additional touches she includes has been an absolute delight. You can't go wrong with this location. -

Danielle, the coordinator worked tirelessly for us; answering calls and texts at all hours of the day and night leading up to the wedding, that she handled last minute changes to the itinerary and decor with grace, and that she did everything in her power to ensure that our wedding was a perfect and memorable day. There was one negative occurrence for us where there appeared to be a lapse in communication between the venue and one of the vendors that led to part of the reception feeling a bit unorganized, which was distracting to both my wife and I, but this was heavily outweighed by all of the other positive aspects of this experience. Not only did Danielle ensure that the wedding went off with out a hitch, but she she also took great care of our friends and family who attended the ceremony/reception and stayed at the hotel. I can not imagine a more ideal place to wed than the Magnolia Hotel, if you are looking for an urban venue with elegance and class, this is the place. I can not speak highly enough of the food and the kitchen staff. I would recommend this venue to my closest friends and family. -

Overall, I was very pleased with the Magnolia. They were very helpful throughout the whole process. The only issues I ran into were with some of the rules of the hotel, but they worked with me as well as they could. Very beautiful venue -

We had the ceremony, reception and guest lodging all at the Magnolia Hotel. They did a fantastic job! The space is recently updated and the ballroom is just perfect. They are lower priced than most of the other boutique hotels downtown, but you're still paying for a downtown wedding. I'd absolutely recommend the space to anyone. -

We held our wedding reception for approximately 150 people. It was absolutely wonderful. The staff was professional, friendly, and well organized. The venue is beautiful and the food was spectacular. People who attended the reception are STILL talking about it! We would highly recommend this location for any similar event. -

The catering department did a great job and the food was really good. The service staff at the actual event weren't very friendly but we had a great wedding.

My husband and I just had our wedding at the Magnolia and it was beautiful. Leading up to the event, however, was a bit of a bumpy road. The wedding planner at the hotel that we signed with was left go and a new wedding planner was brought in. There was some slow communication issues, but after addressing this in person, it was solved. The hotel also nickel and dimes you with everything. I do recommend having your wedding at the Magnolia as it is a beautiful venue, however, I highly suggest hiring an outside wedding planner. -

We are usually not ones to post bad reviews because we understand that things can go wrong. However, we had soooooo many things go wrong with the planning of our reception and the reception itself that we feel the need to warn others (when you consider how meaningful and expensive a wedding is). Here’s a summary of the problems: We had a gift stolen during the reception (they checked the security tapes and found this out). They did give us a credit for the cost of the gift but our catering person never called us to apologize. They charged us for $495 worth of dessert that was never served (they will be paying us back). Our catering manager made numerous mistakes while planning the wedding and we kept having to double check and correct her work--she sent us an estimate with the wrong food choices, her final count for meals was wrong, and she was going to charge the wrong credit card. Even when we would correct her work, she sometimes failed to make the proper changes. We ended up purposefully not giving her our slideshow DVD that we wanted played during dinner because she kept saying (verbally and on the Event Planning Form) that it was to played during the cocktail reception. The room was not set-up as we had discussed and requested—they left fluorescent tube lights on when they said they would not be on, they did not have tablecloths on tables in the reception room, they did not set up seating in the reception room as requested, and they ACTUALLY CHANGED THE CONFIGURATION OF THE HEAD TABLE WITHOUT ASKING US (and it made it so we had to sit across from each other instead of next to each other—it’s hard to explain because it was the weirdest setup I’ve ever seen.). We were willing to excuse some of these things but the “straw that broke the camel’s back” was when we found out a gift was stolen and they didn’t serve the dessert we paid for. We sent a letter to the Director of Catering to complain and he was very responsive and apologetic. He offered to put us up in the hotel for a special event if we wanted. Still, if we had to do it over again, we would have chosen a different venue. There are plenty of other venues in Denver. -

I just had my wedding at this venue. They charge you 100$ if you use your debit card for your room. So it frustrating for your out of town guests when they feel like there over charged. It's 30$ a day to valet which is crap if your a guest are coming for the weekend. The front desk was very unhelpful to the point I wanted to scream at them. Also my room was hot I'm talking 80 when when it was set to 50. It was very uncomfy and the desk did care. I don't sugest this place to stay. But the food was good just the staff very unhelpful and rude. -
