Jes and Meg were the best vendors we could have asked for. Their photography skills absolutely embody the meaning of brightness, warmth, and joy in every photo that they capture. Being able to see everyone else's experience made us laugh and tear up at the same time. Everything looks phenomenal, and we are stunned by their talent and work. The detail shots are immaculate, and all of the candid shots of us and others were perfect. People have repeatedly said that it feels like we are watching a movie about the day as they go through the gallery. They captured everything in the most elegant and lovely manner that highlighted the feelings of the day. Not to mention their insanely fast turnaround time left us shocked to receive their email that our photos were ready. Their gallery allows us to relive the day repeatedly, and we love every minute of going through the photos whether it was our first time or our hundredth time.
We also genuinely cannot thank them enough for how thoughtful and kind they were to us throughout this entire wedding season. Beyond being an incredibly talented team of photographers, they never failed to make us feel comfortable, happy, and excited for the nervousness that the wedding season tends to bring including helping us feel truly so confident and comfortable in front of the camera, feelings we haven't felt before when taking photographs. Their thoughtfulness and kindness to us throughout this entire wedding season cannot be thanked enough. Jes and Meg live so fondly in our memories, and we still talk about the magical ability they both have in being able to make us feel confident, happy, and encouraged even at times when we were in doubt, felt low, or stressed during the day. Their positivity and love pours out in everything they do, say, and share, and we owe the entire wedding season's success to Jes and Meg and their support, advice, generosity, creativity, professional skills, and consideration. -

We love maewood
Jes and Meg were so wonderful to work with and got our photos back to us so fast! As someone who has always hated having my picture taken I never thought I could be so comfortable. They took the time to get to know us and our vision for the day and what was really the most important to us. They also made it so easy with their questionnaires and the timeline they built to make sure that we got the most out of the day while also getting the photos we dreamed of. We absolutely loved working with this photographer. They have a special way of making everyone feel relaxed and natural, even the folks who usually try to hide from the camera. Before we knew it, people were laughing, joking, and actually enjoying taking pictures — something I never thought I’d see!

Maternity photos
My family and I loved our experience with Jes. She knew exactly what she was doing, was so professional, and had ideas to make our pictures beautiful even when it started to rain. She was great with our boys and captured moments that I feel would just be thrown out by other photographers. Jes was patient and kind and had a way of explaining everything. She even taught my boys about her camera and how it picks up different types of lights and scenery uniquely. The photos really captured the essence of our family. I cannot wait for her to do our newborn photos and future family photos. -

The MaeWood Collective absolutely exceeded all expectations with the photography for me and my wife's proposal, engagement, and wedding photography! Meg and Jes do such a great job making you feel comfortable and helping you look your best in every photograph they take!
We also had Jess as our wedding coordinator and could not have been more thankful to have the wonderful support she gave! Between helping find the right vendors, to making sure every detail was executed to perfection on the big day Jess was such a tremendous help!

Amazing experience for our wedding! Could not recommend enough
Jes and Michael were so great to work with for our engagement shoot and wedding day! Jes is a master of organizing everybody for the bridal shower and family photos. They helped us plan the timeline for the day and stick to our schedule so we could get the maximum amount of photos while still giving us a lot of time to relax and just be together. The photos turned out AMAZING and the photo album they designed for us turned out so great! Everybody was so complimentary of them and the photos, and one of my bridesmaids ended up booking with them for her wedding Could not recommend them enough! -

WARNING!! If you select The MaeWood Collective, prepare to have your cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing too much, constantly being hyped up, feel like an absolute model, less stress with a smooth and seamless timeline, and so much fun! I can’t even begin to explain how wonderful the whole MWC team is! They are like beautiful magicians! They made all of my visions and dreams come to life. They are patient, bring all the positive energy, helped with all my possibly ridiculous questions and knew exactly what my husband and I needed and wanted. Even from the start, feeling nervous at our engagement shoot, they helped put us at ease and feel so comfortable. If you’re looking for a photographer or videographer or coordinator, look no more! The best ever!
When we first started looking for a photographer and videographer for our wedding, I had an idea of what I wanted. Jes and Michael were everything I wanted and more. From the first time meeting them on zoom, I knew they were the perfect fit for us. They both made me feel so at ease about every step of our wedding day. From the start of wedding planning, my husband and I knew we wanted bridal portraits in Sedona after the wedding. Jes and Michael hiked up at 4am with us in the dark so we could have the most epic Sedona photos. We are so grateful to have found Jes and Michael. They are truly the best and go above and beyond. We loved them so much we use them any time we need photo or video done. Truly the best. -

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Meg, Jes, and Jess. Maewood Collective has been part of my husband and I’s entire engagement/wedding journey. Andy booked Meg and Jess for our original engagement. They both helped Andy formulate a plan and most importantly, helped play it all out! Jess styled the most wonderful area for the engagement and Meg was hiding in the trees for the perfect shot.
Obviously, we knew we’d be using Maewood for our engagement photos and wedding!!! We connected with Meg and Jes again. Scheduled our engagement photos, which of course had a TON of rain in the forecast. Meg and Jes were on top of it, communicating throughout the entire process and offering a plethora of options to ensure we got the photos we wanted.
Fast forward to our wedding - Jes, Megan, and Jess went ABOVE AND BEYOND. I truly couldn’t imagine our wedding day without them. Jes and Meg showed up ready to rock and roll. They helped move us along throughout the day and made myself, my husband, and our family/friends incredibly comfortable. They posed us all perfectly while also grabbing the precious candid moments we all want. They made sure to include all of the good shots while making sure my requests were honored as well.
Jess kept the world spinning on our day as our coordinator and honestly, bestie. They say it when you have a meeting, but Jess works for you - always having your best interest in mind and keeping your priorities highest. There are not enough words I can say for Jess, she played about a million roles on our wedding day and did amazing at every single one.
With all of this said and done, I have not even mentioned the insanely quick turn around for sneak peek photos and the actual albums! Maewood is beyond professional and knowledgeable when directing shoots or capturing your special day. AND the photos are beautiful, capturing exactly what we wanted, and what I didn’t even know I wanted!!
As the oldest child in my family, I had no idea where to remotely start with planning. The Maewood Collective has gone above and beyond to be so much more than “just” photography and coordinating. They are all wonderful human beings who have made every interaction fun and without stress. Their knowledge, kind words, and incredible personalities have helped make this experience so fun. -

Absolutely amazing
MaeWood was absolutely amazing from the second I inquired! Jes helped me with every single question throughout the entire planning process, even answered questions post wedding! Our engagement photos were so much fun and so beautiful! Our wedding photos are absolutely incredible, I love them so much I look at them everyday! The best of the best!
My fiancé booked Maewood Collective for our proposal and within the first few minutes of working with Jes and Michael, we knew we had to have this team for our wedding! They made us feel so comfortable during our shoot, told us what to do when we weren’t sure and Jes was wiping my sweat and fixing my hair to make sure every picture was perfect. Their work speaks for itself, but what really sets Maewood Collective apart is their energy, passion, and love for what they do. They don’t just capture the moment, they capture the emotions behind it all making it that much more memorable. They take pride in their work, and always deliver high-quality videos and photos. Jes, Meg, Dave, and Michael are AMAZING! We used Maewood for photography and videography for our October 2022 wedding and couldn’t be happier with our experience. From start to finish, they thought of everything. From a thoughtful welcome gift, amazing engagement session (that we had to pack into a short time due to some insane traffic getting to our location), help with our timeline, family “wrangling” on the day of, and all of our photos AND video delivered within weeks of our wedding, we couldn’t have asked for a better team. The true mark of their incredible artistry was getting genuine smiles out of both my dad and my husband’s grandfather – two of the most camera-shy people you’ll ever meet. WOW WOW WOWWWW! I am truly blown away by the photography session my family had with Jes. Everything you want/hope in these types of experiences, Jes delivered on (and more!).
1) Timely communication on all necessary details through the process.
2) True professionalism from start to finish.
3) Photo session was organized to a T (much needed with our two little ones!).

Nature and the family
After Jess took my sister in laws wedding photos we were so impressed we asked her to Take photos of my family the day after thanksgiving. She was such a pleasure to work with and had so many ideas and made sure each of us were standing in our ideal position. Needless to say the pics turned out amazing! She even captured the best of our 2 year old grandson who doesn’t sit still for a minute. If you haven’t had a chance to check out her work you should, also you must meet her! Jes & Michael did a phenomenal job with our wedding video. Their creativity, attention to detail, and their ability to capture moments that evoked emotion and magic are unrivaled. Not only did we get to re-live our special moments, we were able to get a glimpse of the guest view of our wedding through the video and can go back to those moments with the press of a button at anytime. We have watched the video multiple times and I personally watch it every morning. Better late than never! Life got busy after our trip from Chicago to Scottsdale, AZ in April. I can't begin to explain how amazing Jes is. During our maternity session, our daughter went into full tired, hungry, and just-not-having-it toddler mode. I thought, "no way are we going to get any good photos". Only to be surprised by the amazing photos Jes captured, even during my daughter's meltdowns. Jes was so patient and had such a positive attitude during the entire shoot. She even went out of her way to run to her car and grab any snacks she possibly had in attempt to cheer my daughter up. She captured what it is to be a mother. The photographs are as beautiful as the energy Jes embodies. You can tell she absolutely loves her job. She tried to take photos up until the last second as the sun set. 100% recommend. -

Having met them at a bridal show and seeing the samples we knew right away this is who we needed for our wedding! We where not disappointed 1 bit she was absolutely amazing! Wow wow is all my husband and I have to say about our wedding photos from MaeWood Photography. We were married in North East MD in October 2020 at the most beautiful venue. Jes and Megan were the SWEETEST team who made us feel so comfortable from our first engagement shoot until the very end of our wedding night. They worked all day and night capturing every detail of our special day. They were organized, relaxed and very experienced!! Amazing!
Jes & Meg are not only amazing photographers but are an amazing duo to work with. When my future husband and I meet them for a quick meet/greet we admired their energy and love for what they do. We knew we had to book with them and I'm so glad we did. They were patient, creative, easy going and had an eye for detail. We couldn’t have been more than happy with our pictures. They truly captured our beautiful day. We can’t wait to use them again. -

Jenelle Sent on 09/21/2018When was the last time you fell in love with a vendor? I don't mean "wow, my dry cleaner does a great job starching my shirts. I'm only going to that dry cleaner." What I am referring to is falling in love with a vendor to the point where you are trying to figure out if it is weird to invite them to happy hour, and to the point where you try to schedule your wedding itinerary so that there will be enough time for them to have a few drinks and dance at least an hour at your wedding.
This is how we feel about Meg and Jess.
From the first interview we had with them via Skype, we knew that we had found our photographers. Their energy, confidence, and professionalism are unmatched by anything I have ever seen.
Fast forward to our engagement shoot in Baltimore, and we continued to be blown away by the qualities mentioned above, and again by their ability to adapt to weather, venue, and wardrobe issues to deliver images that far exceeded expectation.
Between the engagement session and wedding day, they seemed to almost double as wedding coordinators helping make sure that we weren't forgetting things that could detract from our big day.
Then, the big day arrived. Jess and Meg made everything SO(!) FUN(!) - the stress of the day melted away and everyone had a great time.
With regard to delivery, timeliness, and issues.. everything came early, everything exceeded expectation, and we had ZERO issues. All things that I can say about no other vendor that we worked with either at the wedding, or even professionally.
If you're thinking of working with Meg and Jess, stop thinking and just do it. You will be absolutely blown away. -

Engagement photo shoot was a dream with MaeWood
My wife and I did our engagement photos with Maegan in Pennsylvania. We were very pleased with how the photos turned out! She was extremely friendly and helpful. If you’d like to get high quality photos taken at a reasonable price, MaeWood is a fantastic option! -
