Our client hosted a corporate event (around 30 people) at the Madison in July 2025, and it was a great success. Lauren and her team were very responsive, on-site, timely, and available to answer any questions to ensure our event ran smoothly. The space lent itself to an array of seating arrangements, met our AV needs – not to mention, the views were incredible. Highly recommend for smaller and larger group settings. -

Perfect Wedding Venue!
The venue was perfect for our wedding! We wanted to throw a big fancy party that we got married at, and we did! All of the staff was wonderful and having the views of downtown was amazing! Our friends and family all raved about how much they loved the rooftop! I would highly recommend! -

We recently had our wedding at The Madison Rooftop, and it was absolutely stunning! The view was breathtaking — a perfect mix of city lights and open sky that created such a romantic atmosphere. The event planner Connar, was incredibly professional, attentive, and made sure every detail was taken care of from start to finish.
We are hoping to get a nice weather but our wedding was in the month of July which was so muggy and a little shower we were so disappointed of the weather but the venue never disappoint us, we had our event party at the loft which included on the package the space were so huge lots of room, one thing I would probably want is to have more sitting tables which some people want to sit when eating their meals. Our guests get to go to the rooftop and see the view during the party and just kind of hung out to the top when some people would prefer to see the view and have quiet time. Our event was amazing, and our guests love the location, and the ambiance were great.

This summer, I hosted a reception for 250 guests on the Madison Rooftop. It was my first experience working with Rock Events. From start to finish, they exceeded every expectation.
Planning Phase
The Rock Events team is exceptional. Every person I worked with was incredibly professional and dedicated to making my event a success. Communication was seamless—they responded promptly to my emails and handled every request the first time. It truly felt like they were as invested in the event as I was.
The Event Itself
The reception was fantastic. The bartenders were both friendly and efficient, easily managing drink service for all 250 guests. Even after four hours, no one wanted to leave the beautiful. Rock Events even arranged for the Detroit Tigers to have a home game that day, allowing guests to enjoy the game from the rooftop 😜
Rock Events set a new standard for me, and it’s going to be hard to match this experience at other venues. -

The Rock Events team at the Madison is without equal. Liz Galloway is our events coordinator, and she is polished, professional and incredibly organized. No request is too small or too large, and she meets last minute requests with efficiency and a smile. Add to that she is a joy to work with!
Joshua Head tackled the audiovisual portion of our event. He is talented, professional and so easy going. Last minute timing requests were handled quickly and easily. And the music for the after party was spot on!
This is an amazing team, and I'm so happy I get to work with them! -

Best wedding venue!
I got married at The Madison this summer and it was an amazing experience. Rock Events was so helpful throughout the whole process. We worked with Lauren and she was the absolute best. The views from the rooftop are incredible and our guest loved it! We got so many compliments on the venue and it was a great way to showcase Detroit. The loft was perfect for dinner and dancing. 10/10 would recommend -

Truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue. From the moment we expressed interest, the Madison team (more specifically Lauren) were ready to help answer any and all questions. Throughout the entire process, Lauren was incredibly excited for us and organized/thorough. I never had to worry if things were getting done.The event space itself is beautiful. I had some decor, but the ambient lighting and exposed brick make for natural beauty. It is also a huge perk to have both an inside and rooftop space available to utilize. We did our ceremony inside, cocktail hour on the rooftop and the reception inside. Their entire team helped flip the space from ceremony set up to reception, flawlessly.
The planning portion was made so easy thanks to the help of Lauren. The staff was also incredible as they helped throughout the event. Even the bell man near the elevator was kind and inviting of our guests.
If I had to do it all over again, without a doubt, I would still choose this venue and this team. They were so incredible to work with! -

Wedding Review
The Madison is an absolute incredible wedding venue! We had our ceremony and cocktail hour on the rooftop, which had the most stunning views of the city. The loft space is also beautiful, we had a seated reception with about 100 guests and the space was comfortable with plenty of room for a large dance floor. Aside for the beautiful building, the Madison/Rocket event staff is simply incredible! Lauren Jacks is an absolute rockstar, she is incredibly responsive to emails and helped make our wedding day beautiful and stress free! The bartenders and staff were incredible, our guests loved how friendly and attentive they were, even joining us all on the dance floor! Would highly recommend the Madison for anyone looking for a gorgeous downtown Detroit venue. -

We started working with the Madison in 2020 to plan a 2021 wedding reception. Liz was very helpful and communicative during the year as we navigated planning in such an uncertain time. We had to make the difficult decision to postpone our reception to 2022, and Liz and the Madison were extremely flexible in helping us re-plan our celebration. At that point, we began working with Lauren, and everything continued to go very smoothly! Lauren was extremely responsive, answered any and all questions we had, and was a joy to work with! On the day of our reception, she was available for any help we needed, including helping set up our decorations. Everyone at the Madison made our wedding reception feel effortless, and we are so grateful we worked with their team to plan! The venue itself exceeded all our expectations. We got so many comments during our reception about what a cool space it is, especially the rooftop. Looking for the perfect venue!? It's the Madison. OMG! I don't know where to begin. From the very start of contract talks, they were the most reasonable and down to earth as it relates to all of my questions and concerns. The responses were so timely from the team that I felt like their only customer! The event space is so beautiful, extra decor can be very minimal. We used the loft area for majority of the night because it was a little chilly, but my guests still loved the intimacy of the venue space and the ability to take pictures on the rooftop throughout the evening. Aside from the venue, the staff and suggested vendors exceeded all expectations. It was truly like living in a dream. The food, hospitality, flow of the day, organization of staff, professionalism, flowers, table rentals, etc. I can go on and on. My Planner Brittany allowed me to enjoy the evening while she did all the heavy lifting! Overall I can't name one thing that went wrong! This is definitely my last wedding, but if I had to do it again, I would choose The Madison.Madison's reply:

A Wedding space dream!
If you're thinking about having your wedding at the Madison, do it! We had originally planned on having a 150 wedding at the Madison, but with pandemic uncertainty, we canceled everything an planned an intimate micro ceremony with them.
Working with Lyn and Brittany was a dream, they truly made me feel at ease throughout the entire process, we couldn't be more grateful for their guidance along the way.
Brittany was onsite for our wedding rehearsal and wedding day. She was so sweet and helpful, everything turned out flawless and we couldn't have done it without her. The views at the Madison are incredible, the rooftop is breathtaking and the loft is such a fun, unique space. But the staff really 2.0's the experience there, truly incredible people. We are so blessed and so thrilled that we were able to have our dream wedding at Madison, I would recommend it to anybody.Madison's reply:

I hosted my daughter's high school grad party at the Madison on the Rooftop and it was absolutely fabulous! The staff, venue and food and beverage was top notch. Brittany and Julie took such good care of us that by the end, they were just like family. I still get asked about the space and everyone is trying to figure out how to throw an event at the Madison. Simply the Best Detroit Venue
All the stars for this place and their team. 2020 has been an unbelievably challenging year for wedding planning with the covid pandemic shutting down nearly everything. We were initially booked at the Madison for our ceremony and reception before the pandemic hit. After holding off as long as possible, we eventually decided to move our reception to next year, but keep our ceremony. The big question then was where would we hold it?
About 2 weeks before our ceremony date, The Madison opened back up for small weddings (10 or fewer guests), which was perfect for us! They set up audio and video, and ran a high-quality Zoom meeting so the rest of our guests could safely watch remotely. We were their first “mini-wedding” of 2020, and it was flawless. They accommodated our vendors and helped us put together a beautiful ceremony in a very short time period. The communication was excellent and the professionalism was top notch. Shout out to Connie and the rest of the team for their tireless efforts!
It ended up pouring rain for most of the day of our ceremony, so the folks at the Madison set us up inside in the loft space. This worked out great because the audio was crystal clear for our virtual guests (no wind inside!). The rain stopped in time for us to still get some amazing photographs up on their spectacular rooftop area after the ceremony, so we really feel like we got the best use possible out of The Madison’s space.
Despite all the craziness of this pandemic-filled year we were able to get married at our venue of choice and it was absolutely perfect. We couldn’t recommend this place and their staff more, and we are ecstatic to be coming back here next year for the in-person reception party!Madison's reply:

Danielle and the Bedrock event team were extremely helpful every step of the way during our wedding planning. She helped coordinate with our vendors to open the building to come set up. On the day of, Danielle was made sure all the vendors were taken care of, had what they needed, and on time. The event team also made sure the venue was sparkling clean throughout the whole day. We were so stress-free on our wedding day and cannot thank Danielle enough for helping us create our dream wedding at the State Savings Bank Building. We were in love with The Madison as soon as we saw it! From the gorgeous city views on the rooftop, to the event space on the Fifth Floor Loft - our guests were in awe of the beauty that this venue had to offer. Connie was amazing to work with from the first time that we viewed the space right until the end of our wedding night. We couldn't have pulled this day off without her help!
This venue is the perfect mix of historical Detroit with a modern twist that brings the city to new light for those who don't get to visit often. We were in love with the space so much that we couldn't even bring ourselves to over-decorate and hide what it already had to offer.Madison's reply:

If you are looking for a wedding experience that will blow your bridal party, family, and guests away - choose the Madison! The venue is unique and memorable, our pictures with the City in the background are breathtaking, and the night will be one all your guests talk about for days to weeks following. Outside of the Venue itself, what really set the experience apart was the event team who went above and beyond in every aspect. We were lucky enough to have Julie and Brittany assigned to us and I could not have had my fairy-tale day without them. From initial booking all the way to walking down the aisle, they answered my questions with ease, made me feel relaxed, and had everything planned to the second and it was flawless. Jessica Sent on 09/25/2018We had our ceremony in the loft space and our reception on the roof for 150 guests. Lyn was great to work with and very accommodating. We planned the wedding from out of town, but someone was always available to meet with us whenever we were in Detroit. The existing decor and building architecture meant that we didn't need to provide many of our own decorations.
For our ceremony we wanted more traditional seating, so we rented 80 chairs to supplement the high top tables/bar stools and couches that exist in the space.
We had a strolling reception on the rooftop in early September. We got lucky with a gorgeous sunset, and the whale mural and view of Comerica park provided a great backdrop for our evening. Our guests were mostly from out of town and kept mentioning how cool the space was.
Looking through our pictures, having the teal wall behind the dance floor provided great background contrast and made the pictures come out awesome.
It was a little bit windy and cool so most of our guests stayed closer to the bar near the heat lamps and fire feature and on the dance floor, but even with everyone on one side of the roof we never felt overly crowded.

Brittany Sent on 08/29/2018First and foremost if you are thinking of having your wedding in Detroit and want a unique and beautiful wedding, the Madison is the place for you. The Madison is the first and only place we looked, as we knew we wanted a rooftop wedding. We had our ceremony and reception both at the venue, with ceremony on the rooftop and reception and cocktail hour inside in the loft area. The amount of compliments we received from our guests is uncountable, I lost track. None of this would've of happened without the help of all the wonderful staff at The Madison, and specifically Danielle. From the first time we had contact, up until the very end of my wedding night, she was on point, 5 stars. Danielle almost took over as my wedding planner, helping me organize things day of, dealing with our vendors throughout my wedding planning, letting me come in and visit the venue and show family before our wedding, responding to countless emails and phones.
I had the most perfect wedding I could ask for, and I would recommend this venue to anyone wanting to host any kind of event here. The views of downtown Detroit from the rooftop are unbelievable. You will not get a better view anywhere downtown. And the loft area is gorgeous, with exposed brick walls, lots of colors, beams. My experience was the best, and I hope to come here for an event soon, or host another!Madison's reply:

Mary Sent on 08/29/2018This was the first venue we looked at when checking out locations for our wedding, and immediately knew this was the place for us. The views were beautiful, and the space was modern and unique. The staff was very accommodating from planning the event to the time we were there during the wedding. We worked with Connie at Bedrock, and she was wonderful and extremely helpful. As we were planning our wedding from New York, it was important to us to have a stress free experience with all of our vendors. The Madison provided a list of vendors, all of which were fantastic. Connie aided with time management in terms of planning deadlines, and we were absolutely stress free in the week leading up to the wedding. We couldn't be happier with our experience, and highly recommend the Madison for a beautiful, unique and stress free event!

Jessica Sent on 04/06/2018Our wedding was beautiful here. We had a strolling event for 160 ppl in the loft and it was perfect. The pictures turned out amazing and I couldn’t have asked for more with the rooftop view for photos and the industrial vibes in the loft. The 3 bartenders were quick and no one waited for drinks. Only critical things I can say about the venue is .. the sound system isn’t loud enough so def get a DJ who brings equipment. But be advised that the loft is not that big and it will take up space. If weather permits .. the roof is amazing and spacious. Overall our wedding was amazing and the Madison is beautiful and a unique space.

Ultimate Detroit Venue!
This venue is an absolute gem! We fell in love as soon as we saw it and thought, given the experience, it was fairly reasonable. We wanted to give our guests the quintessential Detroit experience and we did just that. If you get the pleasure of working with Lauren, you will be in extremely good hands. She is so patient and responsive leading up to the event - never bothered by the multitude of questions I asked. But the day of the wedding she ended up being my rock in every way. We had crazy weather and she was so flexible with regard to our weather backup plan...and also reassuring, remaining positive the entire time. The weather cleared after dinner and we had the ultimate rooftop reception. Beautiful views - our guests were blown away. Highly recommend!Madison's reply:

It has a spectacular view of Detroit and if you have your wedding during a Tigers game, you may even get free fireworks like we did!! Our Perfect Wedding!
Reflecting on my September wedding, I am filled with immense gratitude and joy. It was, without a doubt, the most magical day of my life, and it wouldn't have been possible without the extraordinary team at Rock Events, especially the incredible Lauren Jacks.
Our venue, the Madison Theatre in downtown Detroit, provided a stunning backdrop, and Lauren's expertise shone throughout the process. Her ability to work seamlessly with all our vendors, some familiar and others new to her, was remarkable. The synergy and coordination she displayed ensured that our special day was flawless.
Knowing Lauren was there, I vividly remember the feeling of absolute serenity and confidence. She was more than just a contact at the venue; she was like a day-of coordinator, handling everything with finesse and professionalism. Her attention to detail during the venue visits and the valuable reminders she provided were crucial in making our wedding day perfect.
Lauren's involvement made the entire experience much less stressful. Her calm demeanor and exceptional organizational skills gave me the assurance that everything would go according to plan.
