  A joy to work with

  Wanted to add my positive review to the stack of glowing ones that Julie deserves for being such a great photographer, and being so easy to work with. Julie met my now-wife (!) and I at a coffee shop near our home so she could get to know us a little better. I have to give her a big shout out because Julie accommodated my wife and I's wedding date, even though we had moved our date up, and would now be getting married...in less than a month. When you know, you know, guys.
  
  Anyhow, Julie was a great listener, and so fun to be around. It didn't feel like she *just* wanted to get to know us to take our photos. With the way she told us about herself and her own relationship, it felt like she was an old friend we had bumped into. We genuinely had fun chatting with her, and she asked a lot of great questions about what kind of photos we wanted of our big day and the vibe we were going for. While we were already familiar with Julie's photography - having done a bit of research beforehand - meeting her in person really cemented for us that she was the right photographer to capture our wedding. My wife and I both left the meeting with very good vibes.
  
  The day of the wedding, Julie and her husband were fantastic - running here and there to make sure they captured everything properly, and putting up with my family who is chronically late to everything. She expertly coached me through my groom photos, which I found extremely helpful because I'm not at all comfortable being the subject of a camera.
  
  The wife and I were boarding a plane to go on our honeymoon when we got the preview batch of photos from Julie (that's how ridiculously fast she was). I'm not embarrassed to say that I cried when I saw them. They were fantastic. She did such a great job capturing the joy and liveliness of our wedding day, and it confirmed for us that hiring Julie was the right choice.

  Amazing! Julie is so talented!

  Amazing! Julie photographed my wedding and my sisters wedding. I love Julie's style and eye for design. She is a true artist! Her photos are amazing!
  
  They say "It's all in the details". So I want to highlight some little details about Julie that really made a difference for us. I mean let's face it, Julie's photos speak for themselves. I don't need to tell you how great her photos are. You can look at her portfolio and its easy to see how talented she is. So I want to speak to some of the small details that you don't get to see in the photos...
  
  Julie is really good at directing people and getting them to stand where they need to be without sounding stressed or bossy. Let's face it, people don't always follow directions even when they are told ahead of time. In weddings I have been in, photographers frequently have to yell to get the attention of people. Or they show frustration when not everybody in the group is cooperating. Julie remains cool as a cucumber the entire time and somehow is able to get people to where they need to go while remaining calm and pleasant. I feel that this really adds to everybody's enjoyment of the day.
  
  As many reviews have mentioned Julie was calm and relaxed on the day of my wedding. I didn't realize how much that mattered until the day of. Jitters and nerves are all part of the process but Julie's calm and upbeat demeanor defiantly put me at ease. That alone was so valuable. And again, I didn't realize how much that mattered to me until the day of my wedding.
  
  I was also really impressed with how she can make photos look beautiful with a less than perfect backdrop. Both my wedding and my sisters wedding some of the "getting ready pics" were taken in places where the backdrop is less than ideal for photos (think dark, dingy church basement/ bachelor pad) yet somehow she made these photos look beautifully artistic.
  
  Julie is incredibly professional. Her process is so well thought out. She is so well organized. It made things really easy on my. Everything was so slick. Communication was prompt and we even had a sneak peak of our pics waiting for us the morning after our wedding. That was a nice surprise!
  
  This sounds like an odd thing to comment on, but both Julie and James dress comfortably and professionally while on the job. Photographers are artists and sometimes artists can be a bit eccentric. I've been to weddings where the photographer wears flashy outfits or outfits where they are clearly trying to draw attention to themselves. James and Julie don't try to steal the show. They dress nice and professionally in a way that is not distracting.
  
  Another thing that is odd to comment on, but worth noting... I have a part time job bar tending weddings. It's very common that photographers will order a few drinks from me throughout the night. I've also definitely see photographers go overboard to the point that I was concerned about the quality of photos. Julie and James were very professional. A number of times they were offered drinks on my sister's party bus and they politely and professionally declined. This just speaks to the level of professionalism they bring to an event.
  
  I feel that Julie went above and beyond the role of a photographer. Our wedding was March 28th. Because of Covid 19 we had to completely change our wedding plans. As restrictions were coming in, locations and plans were changing on a daily basis. Julie was a HUGE help with this process she offered us suggestions and feedback and even put in some of the legwork to secure photography location. All the while remaining very calm and helping to keep me calm.
  
  We could not be happier with our wedding photos! And we are so grateful Julie was such an integral part of our special day!

  A brilliant artist

  I wish I could give Julie one million stars! If you are at all unsure of who to choose for a photographer Julie is it. We had the best experience! Julie is extremely professional and an absolute artist. We originally were planning a November wedding but due to COVID decided to make a change. When I called Julie she was more then accommodating about a complete change of plans and we later found out that the new date we had chosen was her birthday! She said nothing because she is so good about making the day all about the bride and groom. The entire day was full of going with the flow. It poured rain during our outdoor portion and she captured the moment with such artistry. What could have been seen as a wrench in the plans became some of our favorite photos. She had a backup plan ready and kept the day entirely stress-free. Julie was joined by her husband and they were extremely organized. The formal photos flew by. She captured all the combinations we wanted and was great with the younger kids too. My husband and I had a blast taking photos together and instead of it being a formality it was such a fun part of the day. As someone who is not all that keen on being in the spotlight I was so comfortable having my picture taken by Julie. I am not sure how she does it, but I felt such trust from the beginning. Not only was she one of my favorite parts of our big day, but also her artistic eye is unmatched. We will absolutely cherish her photos for a lifetime.

  Julie is extremely kind, thoughtful, and the ultimate professional. She made my husband and I feel comfortable throughout our engagement and wedding photos, even when we felt nervous and awkward! Julie was so helpful throughout the entire planning process and was able to offer insightful advice for our wedding day based on her past experience. She captured our day perfectly, and our photos are beautiful and of the highest quality!

  Authentic and relaxed

  I really enjoyed having Julie photograph our wedding and engagement photos. I felt at ease (as much as I possibly could!) and got some wonderful shots that captured the emotions of the day.

  Amazing Photographer!!

  Julie is a phenomenal photographer and I am so glad I hired her. She’s personable, easy to work with, and extremely talented. The fact that she is bilingual (Spanish/English) was also very helpful when doing family photos. Getting good photos was really important to me and Julie did not disappoint.

  Highly Recommend

  I would highly recommend Julie as a wedding photographer! We initially felt overwhelmed by the number of options we had for wedding photographers but after a short conversation and a look at her portfolio, we knew she would be the perfect fit. She immediately made us feel comfortable, and all our guests raved about how personable yet professional she was. Now that we have our photos back, our friends and family are raving about how amazing they are! We wanted photos that were a true representation of our wedding day, not anything overly staged or edited, and that is exactly what Julie gave us. She was the perfect addition to our wedding celebration!

  Julie is the absolute best and kindest soul! We hired Julie to capture our wedding. For our engagement session, we brought Julie to our hometown. Not only did she take amazing pictures, she also got to feed a cow! Our wedding pictures turned out better than I could have ever imagined! She made my vision come to life- the pictures were very natural, bright, and so amazing! 5 months later- I am still obsessed with them!

  Worth evert penny, fantastic!

  Julie is absolutely wonderful to work with. She is flexible, easy going, and communicates well. Not to mention, her photography skills are fantastic! As soon as we chatted on the phone, I knew she was the photographer for us. Our first in person meeting was on the day of the engagment pictures and it felt like we had known her for years. I would highly recommend Julie for any of your photography needs. We love our engagment and wedding photos and are looking forward to working with her again in the future! :)

  Photos straight out of a fairy tale

  Julie was calm in a time i was not, her demeanor was so gentle and sweet, which really helped me over come my nerves. Her knowledge in this industry far exceeds others. She knows which poses look best, and which moments to catch. The quality of her photos were of such high caliber, they look like they are out of a movie. When the day goes by so fast, all you have are the memories and pictures. Her photos captured every moment of the day, and she took very flattering pictures. I will ALWAYS recommend her to anyone who is in need of a photographer that will exceed expectations and will not disappoint. Julie is the best of the best in this industry.

  Amazing wedding experience

  Julie did an incredible job on our wedding photography. We had a winter wedding but were fortunate enough to also get to have her photograph us in the summer for our engagement pictures. The summer photos were beautiful and Julie found the perfect places to shoot with the lighting. When we got married, it snowed on our wedding day and our pictures look like a winter wonderland. Spectacular! Julie was flexible working with us in the midst of COVID and always responded to emails within hours. She made planning a breeze. You definitely won't regret choosing her!

  Julie was an amazing photographer who helped capture all of the best and most important moments of our wedding. She helped guide us through what the day would look like, made us feel at ease during the day, and delivered very high quality photos to us very soon after our big day. She was kind, flexible, and professional offering guidance and expertise while also taking our opinions into account. We recommend her 100%!

  Extraordinary!

  My fiancé and I are beyond thrilled with our engagement photos. Not only are they more beautiful than we dared hope, Julie did an incredible job helping us feel comfortable and natural. She was easy going and effortlessly prepared every step of the way! I can't wait to see how our wedding photos turn out. I would (and will) recommend her to anybody looking to have professional photos taken

  Beyond Amazing Photography!

  Where do I even start!? Julie was beyond AMAZING in every way! She took our engagement photos on a frigid January morning and wedding photos on the hottest day in July. She made us feel so comfortable from the very first phone call. She did a great job of making sure to ask us what types of photos we were looking for, including colors, location, and poses. She was extremely patient and kind. Julie did an excellent job of helping to make our smiles and laughs natural. She had some great tricks that would have us giggling right when our smiles were starting to tense up. My husband and I knew that we had found the perfect match in Julie after our engagement session.
  When she arrived at my Mother-in-Law’s house the day of the wedding, she fit in perfectly! She felt like family, which made it so easy to act like the camera was not there. My husband had nothing but great things to say about her husband, James, who was photographing the groomsmen getting ready.
  Now to the photos,,,,, WOW! The photos were stunning!! She captured the wedding evening perfectly! They were everything we asked for and more. Julie is extraordinarily talented!!!

  Definitely hire Julie!

  Julie was AWESOME! We originally were looking to pay half the price for our wedding photographer, but when we saw her journalistic-style photos that revealed authenticity and unique moments for each couple, we decided her work was worth spending more. Let me tell ya, after reflecting on the planning process and our wedding day, I would have been willing to pay DOUBLE if I knew how much she would help with the day of schedule, her flexibility in light of a pandemic, and the amazing photos we have today. Julie was prepared, organized, positive, fun to be around (but not in your face or telling you what to do all of the time), and easygoing. My husband and I are not picture people but Julie was still able to help us feel relaxed, comfortable, and to just be us!

  When we first were engaged I found Julie through wedding wire and booked her for our engagement photos. I fell in love with her work and her personality then, so when our plans changed from a wedding in Mexico with a local photographer due to COVID the first thing I thought of was Julie. MAN was I lucky she was able to make our day so special.
  
  Wedding planning is pure chaos right now, but let me assure you this will be the best and easiest choice you’ll make. Julie not only delivered beautiful photos, but I feel like she kept me sane and organized the entire day. She feels like a friend and you will be so comfortable. (Yes, even your husband who hates photos will love her.) Her husband is also an absolute gem, and if you have the option of booking them together you absolutely should!
  
  At the end of your day you will walk away with beautiful photos and memories captured. And you will be so thankful you hired Julie to make it happen, I PROMISE.

  Julie is seriously the best! She made my husband and I feel so comfortable during our engagement pictures and throughout our wedding day. Both sessions we did with her turned out AMAZING and we received tons of beautiful photos. Julie was super responsive when we had questions and made sure all of our requests came to fruition. She was super flexible when it came to our ideas, but was also not afraid to suggest her own based on her experiences. Overall, there are not enough good things to say about Julie, and we can't thank her enough for capturing our day exactly how we wanted it!
