LOVE this team!!!
Meghan, Shelby and all of the M elizabeth team made my wedding dreams come true, even during a pandemic. Meghan was extremely communicative, professional, level-headed, and fun during this incredible stressful COVid 19 process. Meghan essentially planned 3 separate weddings after multiple venue changes. She is so much fun and a pleasure to work with, and my wedding was the best day of my life. She made the weekend run smoothly, and she took away all the stress. I highly recommend her and consider her a great friend now! My father never understood the thought of investing in a wedding planner, and then he saw what M. Elizabeth did to take off some stress for me and my mom!! Thank you!! Highly recommend.

Best of the best!
If I could give them 6 stars I would- they were always on top of things. They are super creative and top tastemakers. Do yourself a favor and go with the ultimate package- it makes the planning process so much more enjoyable- they literally take on so many roles during the planning process- director, designer, deal-makers, counselor (haha), friend- and they do it with such grace. It was truly such a fantastic experience. -

Meghan and her team are the absolute best of the best! They are amazing at their job and a breath of fresh air when you’ve been stressing about your big day. Meghan and Candice are both so personable and willing to help whenever/however they can! I absolutely cannot imagine my wedding day without this team and it would not have been so amazing if it weren’t for them. I hope Meghan, Candice and her whole entire team near and dear to my heart. -

Best Wedding Ever!
We could not have been happier with our experience. M. Elizabeth Events helped us to have exactly the wedding we wanted. From the day we started planning through the end of the reception, everything was handled with incredible professionalism and patience. We have no regrets or wishes to have done anything differently. Two weddings in six months
I cannot say enough positive things about this group. We worked together for eighteen months and there is no way we could have done it without their outstanding expertise. Meghan and Candice are efficient, knowledgeable, patient, professional, and just all around nice people. They were able to assess what we were looking for in each wedding and they helped guide us to vendors who would match our personality, vision, and budget. Both of our weddings were spectacular and I can honestly say that both wedding weekends were stress free thanks to Meghan, Candice and their team.

Truly Amazing!!
We really enjoyed working with Meghan and her team. They executed both mine and my sister's wedding flawlessly. Throughout the planning process, someone was continuously in touch about upcoming deadlines and planning decisions that needed to be made. All e-mails were met with a quick and thorough reply, and when myself or my mom desired a face-to-face meeting they gladly gave us several options within the upcoming week or two.
Their exceptional relationship with vendors across the Southeast makes planning your dream wedding a piece of cake. I had several special requests for our wedding (atypical band preference and out of state florist) and they made it happen with ease and excitement.
Attention to detail, pristine organization, creativity, careful consideration of the bride and grooms (and their families) wishes, and genuine excitement for your big day is what you will get working with M. Elizabeth Events. The best in the biz! -

Melizabeth events was wonderful to work with on my son’s rehearsal dinner.
My daughter-in-law wanted their wedding over six hours away in the most beautiful venue. I hired melizabeth events to assist me with the groom’s part. Meghan, Shelbi, and Candace were always very attentive to my needs and questions (and believe me there were many). I tell everyone that these ladies helped me stay within my desired budget without slacking on any of the beauty that I wanted to make everything perfect. The rehearsal dinner and, of course, the wedding was breathtaking. My daughter-in-law used them too! There are no other planners we would have rather worked with on these special days. Meghan, Shelbi, and Candace are the best...and KNOW what they are doing. -

Stop doubting yourself and book M. Elizabeth Events!
A lot of people think that bypassing a wedding planner gives them more $ to spend on their wedding but that is so wrong. The amazing team at M. Elizabeth events ended up saving us so much money and time by selecting only the best vendors and then helping negotiate prices. I can't say enough how I would not have been able to make it through the wedding planning process without the team at M. Elizabeth!-

Most people only get once chance at their wedding, and that is the exact reason every daughter in our family has chosen M. Elizabeth wedding and events as our wedding coordinator. Her and her team were there every step of the way, and they truly made our wedding day perfect. She made the ceremony run so smoothly, and that is something that I could not be more thankful for. They also do so much work behind the scenes—they really do whatever needs to be done, and that says a lot! I’ll never forget Meghan herself hiding under a table and holding my dress during my bridal shoot to help me get a perfect shot! She’s the best! -

Absolutely wonderful!! Meghan and her girls are the best!
I highly recommend Meghan and her team! From start to finish they were wonderful to work with! They were there every step of the way, and I can’t imagine what the planning process would have been like without them. After one site visit that my dad went on, he even commented on how thankful he was that we hired them! She recommended so many wonderful vendors that I might not have known to use otherwise. They did such a great job of figuring out what aspects of the wedding were most important to me, and they made some great recommendations on where to splurge and where to save!
On the weekend of the wedding Meghan and Shelbi made sure everything went off without a hitch! There were a few rain showers on our wedding day and they even collected some rain water from our wedding day to use when we christen our first child!! Meghan even drove us away in the car as we left the reception! When the day was over my expectations were exceeded all around! They are THE BEST! We are forever grateful for Meghan and her team! -

M. Elizabeth Events is the BEST!!!
This group is the best of the best. There are not enough words to describe how absolutely incredible it was to work with M. Elizabeth Events while planning my wedding. Not only did the entire team pay close attention to every detail during the planning process, but they were also extremely active and present on the day of my wedding and worked tirelessly to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Just a few examples: I had a vision of a massive floral arrangement in the center of a circular-shaped bar in my reception venue, and Meghan and her team worked with several vendors to make it happen. One of my bridesmaids broke the back of her dress 15 minutes before pictures, and Candice had all of the supplies and matching thread to sew her dress back up just in time. It completely poured rain right as our first look was scheduled, and not only did the team swiftly find a new location for the pictures, but Candice and Shelbi gathered a little bit of the rain in a cup for me to put in the freezer and save for the future baptism of our first child or simply as a memoir.
These are only a few of many examples of their thoughtful expertise and acute attention to detail. It cannot be compared. They know what it means to deliver on true customer service and I am forever grateful they were part of my big day. I know without a doubt my wedding journey would not have been the same without them! -

Meghan and her team are amazing! She did our wedding on April 1, and myself, my family and friends, where so impressed with everything she did. I didn't even realize until after the wedding how relaxed I was knowing that Meghan would take care of everything. During the planning phase she was so helpful, gave wonderful advise, and always responded back to me quickly. (Even when I had crazy questions). I absolutely reccomend M. Elizabeth if you want your wedding day to be relaxed, fun, and absolutely beautiful! -

We just had my daughter's wedding last weekend and Candice and Meghan made the whole experience very enjoyable and as the Mother of the Bride I was able to relax and enjoy the day with my daughter and her bridal party. Before the wedding, Candice was very instrumental in setting up appointments with our vendors and coordinating things that I am so glad I didn't have to do. Having had my other daughter get married just this past April out of town and how disorganized things were, this was a dream come true and was worth every penny! I highly recommend these gals and the quality of service they provide for such an important occasion!!! -

As a mother of the bride, I don't give these 5 stars lightly. Meghan and her team are worth every penny. If I was worried about something, I could email her any time of day or night and get a response. Most importantly, Meghan kept us on budget. Her vendor recommendations are wonderful. Following her suggestions kept us from spending more than we needed on many facets of the wedding and we got exactly what we wanted. Without her advice we would have been over budget and needlessly. More than anything, working with M.Elizabeth gave me peace of mind and the knowledge that everything would be handled. And it was. Not to mention how absolutely professional and pleasant Meghan and her team were from day one. We worked with them from the engagement to the wedding and could not be more satisfied with their services. If you're thinking about wedding planning services, at least meet with them. You will not be disappointed.

I hired Megan as my wedding coordinator at the last minute. She went above and beyond to ensure my wedding went off without any problems. She was able to organize everything without any problems. I had 250 + guests at the wedding, and she was able to handle anything and everything that came along with such a large crowd of people. Without her the wedding would not have been as successful as it was. I would definitely recommend her for anyone planning a wedding. She is fantastic. -

Meghan and her staff exuded the utmost professionalism. They were beyond helpful and friendly. The women of M. Elizabeth Weddings and Events are incredible! We never had a single worry during the wedding planning process or the wedding day. My groom was away on deployment, and they stepped in and made our dream wedding come true so I could focus on him and my move from the states to Japan immediately after the wedding! I even left the states for a month before the wedding! They made dreams I didn't even know I had come true! If you are looking for a wedding planner, or even if that was far from your radar, I would HIGHLY encourage you to see if these girls are available on your date.. and if they aren't.. CHANGE YOUR DATE! I promise you won't regret it. They were the second best decision I made on my wedding, the first was marrying my groom! -

M. Elizabeth Events was recommended to me by a vendor I used for my wedding. Meghan and her team were by far the best thing we did. As most brides I tried to handel most of it myself, but it became a snowball effect as the day got closer and luckily Meghan was there to save me. We brought her in a month or two before the wedding day and she effortlessly was able to handel everything. Her resonponsiveness and her ability to provide quality input and recomendations made my wedding the fariytale I had always dreamed about. She allowed me the opportuity to enjoy my wedding without any worries or stress. -

Meghan is the reason our day was 100% perfect. She is professional, calm, and gets the job done exactly how you want it. We were unsure about even using a planner, but had her for day of services, and we attribute the beauty of our wedding mostly to her. Her pricing is insanely good for the amount of work that she puts in, and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. I was able to enjoy my entire day while they took care of so many things I may not have previously thought about (itinerary for the day, helping with family/bridal party, taking my honeymoon bag to the hotel, and the list could go on forever!) Furthermore, she was an absolute joy to work with and presented me with well-thought-out ideas to achieve the perfect looks at each of my venues, while remaining budget-conscious. We were over-the -top pleased with M. Elizabeth Events. I had a destination wedding and Meghan did everything!!! Extremely well! She came highly recommended and I'm so glad I listened. We hired Megan as our day-of-coordinator, to make sure everything we planned would be implemented and run smoothly on the day of the wedding with no stress for us whatsoever. We loved working with Meghan and her team. Although we were a little nervous when we found out that Meghan would not be the one staying for the entire day, her assistants, Caitlin and Mary-Katherine, did a fantastic job! We did not meet Mary-Katherine until the day of the wedding, but she was extremely sweet and accommodating. My parents came for the wedding from Russia and did not speak any English. MK figured out how to communicate with them using some kind of application she found on her own and downloaded to her phone.
There were a few small things that were presented differently from what we discussed, however the girls were on top of the game. They asked me how it was supposed to be and said they got it! And they did! They handled everything with no hesitation.
Overall, we can say that M. Elizabeth Weddings & Events made our wedding run smooth, stress-free and carried out the vision we wanted for our wedding!!! We would definitely recommend them to our anyone looking for a coordinator.

I hired M. Elizabeth events to be my day of coordinator. We were coming from Colorado to have our wedding near Gadsden, and was able to plan all of my vendors & decor myself fairly easily- I just wanted someone to run the show the day of so my mom would be able to enjoy herself and not worry about anything.
My biggest problem with this company is I had almost no contact with the person that was actually there the day of the wedding. We met in December when we were in town for Christmas, and then I did not see her again until the day of the wedding. She wasn't even there for our rehearsal- Another employee came out instead. I feel like a LOT of information got lost in translation between Meghan and her two employees. The girl that was actually there the day of the wedding I feel did the best she could with the info that she had- But I feel like if I could have been talking about my plans directly with her, things might have gone a little better.
M. Elizabeth also did not contact me two weeks prior to have a "target" meeting- I eventually had to get in touch with them to see if we were still on/ if they needed any more information from me. They were also supposed to call & confirm details with all of our vendors, and I don't think they did that either. Both of these items were outlined in their contract as part of the services they would provide.
I also asked for help finding licensed bartenders (which our venue required) to serve at our reception. M. Elizabeth said they could provide them. The day of the wedding the coordinator was asking us about how to tap a keg, because none of the "bartenders" knew how. Shouldn't a LICENSED bartender know how to open a keg??
Overall, I feel like our wedding was just an after thought for the company and not a priority. -

At first she seemed like she was going to be a joy to work with. As time went on I could tell we were not her priority. We live out of town from our wedding location and her area of residence. There were multiple times we would drive in from out of town and she would be late to appointments or cancel them all together once we were there. Also we would ask to meet with her while in Birmingham she would agree to meet then TEXT 10 minutes before our meeting time and then have some excuse to not show. Communication with her client should be her number one priority. That was not the case. I would call and leave messages, text, and email, she would not respond for weeks. In the meantime I would she frequent posts on FB regarding other things she would rather be doing. Budget was a huge factor in our wedding. She did not care about this what so ever. She did not keep track of it at all. Three months before our wedding we found out we were not able to do a number of things we had planned do to her lack of keeping up with the budget. As a full service wedding planner keeping up with you clients budget should be done. On the day of our wedding I gave her "assistants" markers for our guests to use to sign our guest book. The markers were nowhere to be found until halfway through our reception. I even asked at the beginning if our guests were signing the guest book at the door and she said yes she was asking people to sign it personally. Out of our 100 guests we had 6 people sign it. It breaks my heart to know we will never have that. Overall I would never suggest her to my worst enemy. She was a total waste of money and even ruined some of our wedding day... -

Meghan was my event planner and helped plan my wedding beginning about 6 months before my wedding. From day one we all understood that her primary role would be managing the set-up of my reception, running the reception, and generally running my wedding day. My wedding included over 300 guests, and was quite a large event.
We made the devastatingly stupid mistake of paying Meghan ahead of time- she did not show up on my wedding day. She did not notify me, didn't call to apologize, did nothing. She sent an 'assistant' who I had never met, and who knew nothing about my wedding and reception plans. The lighting was installed in the wrong color among many other major problems that we hired Meghan to handle. When I e-mailed Meghan after the event letting her know how sadly unprofessional she had been, three months later I still have not gotten a response. Hiring her was the biggest mistake ever, and I'm extremely disappointed that her lapse had such bad consequences for my wedding day. -

I wish I had read some of the reviews on here regarding M. Elizabeth Events before we hired her and paid the retainer, which is non-refundable. Words cannot even begin to describe how dissatisfied we are with her service and professionalism. She had promised that she would reply within 24 hours by phone or email, but at times it was over a week. She was not responsive when i expressed concerns regarding the wedding planning process. We terminated the contract prior to my wedding. We only worked with her for a few weeks yet she was not willing to work with us on giving us some of the deposit back, which people still can't seem to believe when we share this part of our experience.
After terminating the contract we started calling hotels to block off rooms and discovered we had been planning the wedding on a date that happened to be the same day of a MAJOR city convention. Hotels were completely booked. Shouldn't our wedding planner have known this or at least done some research? We hired another event planner to help with design of the reception and details of the “day of” and she is fabulous!! EVERY single company we have worked with throughout this process have been amazing and it’s just unfortunate that we even worked with M. Elizabeth Events for even a short period of time.
Please consider other wedding planners (especially in the Birmingham area) because i can assure you that there are some really good ones and we are just sad that we did not hire another one. Since terminating our contract, we are now really able to enjoy our engagement and are having an absolute wonderful time with the wedding planning process.

M. Elizabeth Events OVERPROMISES and UNDERDELIVERS. I really wish that I had read some of these reviews before hiring M. Elizabeth Events for our wedding, as it is easy for me to echo some of the opinions and issues other brides have already stated.First, we wanted a "month of the wedding" planner as neither my mother nor I lived close to the wedding site and neither could devote a lot of time to checking with or being at the site regularly.So we chose to work with the M. Elizabeth Event "planner" and after hiring her were soon promised that phone calls would be made to vendors within a week, with consistent follow up calls made to the vendors as the day of the wedding grew closer.Unfortunately that was not the case and upon hiring the "planner" for a total of 4 weeks, we discovered she had a one week vacation planned, and took that vacation during the month she had committed to "planning" for my wedding.In addition, her initial poor communication, constant bad attitude, and rudeness to some members of the wedding party at the rehearsal was nothing compared to the wedding day.On my wedding day, the "planner" and her associate showed up for less than an hour, and only her associate stayed for the the remainder of the day, as the "planner" had two other weddings in Montgomery planned the same day, a fact we were unaware of and was not agreed upon at the initial agreement of her services.Finally, and in giving my opinion of this service, I would say this was an extremely disappointing experience where we felt that services were over promised and under delivered, and if you're hiring M. Elizabeth Events for the "month of" or "the day of," be ABSOLUTELY sure she's not going on vacation and will actually show up and stay for your wedding, or maybe if you're lucky, you can contract to have the associate take care of your "planning" as she did a wonderful job in the "planner's" absence, and was a pleasure to work with, ultimately doing the job we hired "the planner" to do. -
