Sept 2020 Wedding

We hired Lyrical Lens for our wedding in Sept 2020. We found it very easy because they offered DJ and photography, and also a Photo Booth. The process of booking was super easy, and prior to the wedding they gave me access to a site to input the songs I wanted for each part of the ceremony and reception. Super easy. I also loved that we got two photographers. At the wedding itself, the music was on point, keeping the dance floor full all night long. Connie and the other photographer really snapped all of the action throughout the night. We got so many comments from our friends about how great our photographers were and that they were “everywhere,” and even a comment about how Connie had stood on chairs to try to get the perfect shot. We have great shots of everyone dancing having a great time, group shots, family shots, etc. I highly recommend Lyrical Lens for all of your wedding needs.

Couldn’t have asked for a better DJ

We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. From start to finish, everything was smooth, professional, and stress-free. Dave did a great job reading the room, keeping the energy up on the dance floor, and making sure the night flowed naturally. Our guests had an amazing time, and we received a lot of compliments about the music. We’re so grateful for the role he played in making our wedding day such a great experience and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, talented wedding DJ.

Lyrical Lens ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

From start to finish, Lyrical Lens was professional, kind, and exceptionally easy to work with. Lyrical Lens prides themselves on excellence, and it truly shows. They captured every important moment—from getting ready at the beginning of the day to the reception at the end of the evening. They were able to beautifully compress the entire day into a lovely five-minute highlight video, which was posted on YouTube so we could easily share it with family and friends once it was ready.

If you’re on the fence about hiring a videographer, do it—and hire Lyrical Lens. This was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we will treasure this video forever.

Best People EVER

Connie and Dave at Lyrical Lens are the best people ever! They handled EVERYTHING going above and beyond in every way. Not only were the photos beyond beautiful, Connie helped me feel like a princess and even helped me figure out how to attach the boutonnière to my father’s lapel (totally forgot how to do that). Dave was amazing keeping the energy level up and working with my venue (Georgina’s) to ensure everything ran smoothly.

They are beyond the best I really love them and still keep in contact. Recently we even rehired them for my step daughter’s sweet 16 and it was so so fun. Please give them the chance to be as amazing for you as they have been for us 💕

Amazing Wedding Photographer!

Connie was an exceptional wedding photographer. Our very first meeting with her she came prepared with samples and clear pricing packages. We found the pricing to be reasonable considering the value of her work. She met with us a few more times to go over the wedding day and any expectations. She helped us get the most perfect shots and made us feel so comfortable in every shot.

Once we received our photos it was like reliving the best day of our lives all over again. Connie and her team captured so many incredible moments from the day, special “little” details for us to always remember, and the wonderful smiles on our friends and families faces.

We’ve gone on to use Connie for several other events, including family photo shoots. There’s no one I trust more than Connie to capture the most important and intimate moments of our lives!

Everything I could ever ask for and more!

I had my wedding in August of 2018 and my budget wasn’t extremely flexible. That was not an issue I was able to get everything I needed! There staff coordinated the entire wedding from start to finish and communicated amungst themselves so that we didn’t have to worry about a single thing. The music was amazing, it was specialized for our taste! The photographs were spectacular and will remind us of how amazing the day turned out to be thanks to Lyrical Lens Events! I recommend for everyone!

The Best DJ and Photography around!

Dave and Connie were amazing! They were very professional when it came to the planning and organizing. We had our wedding on Block Island, which is a very difficult place to have an event. Thankfully they both helped us with the logistics and great ideas on how to best make our day work and be stress free. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for the best Entertainment at a very affordable price. We love you guys!

Best day of our lives, Dave and the crew we're fantastic

Our wedding was over 2 months ago and people are still saying how much fun they had and how the music was on point!! Dave responded to any questions I had in a timely matter. Walked through every aspect from start to finish with us. And the whole night was perfect.. thank you Dave and the crew!!!

Our special day

My husband and I absolutely loved having Dave, Connie, and Matt as vendors at our event. We made an immediate connection with Dave and Connie, and could tell they were the right fit for our wedding. Our pictures came out amazing, Dave was an extremely energetic Dj, and even got our guests involved with a couple of activities. I’ve been recommending them to everyone I know!

Dave & his team were absolutely amazing!! The first time we talked over the phone, the conversation lasted over an hour. Our wedding was, without a doubt, challenging to photograph. There was a lot of ground to cover between the dance floor/pavilion and all the outdoor activities (e.g., zip line, kayaks, and baseball diamond), all of which our guests enthusiastically participated in. But this unflappable team documented it all beautifully -- so much so that we're including pictures with our thank you cards, because we're sure our guests will be as delighted as we are. Terrific to work with - dedicated, tireless and (importantly) unobtrusive, which meant many great candid shots.

DK productions was amazing! The DJ and entertainment was exactly on point and kept the guests entertained and engaged all night! Well priced and great people! Pictures were amazing!! All around great service and great people!! Highly recommend!!

The fact is, when looking for a DJ or Photographer, you will be overwhelmed by the amount of options. I took a photographer friend with me to a bridal expo to leverage her eye in assessing photos. I also took some advice from a DJ friend that the most important attribute in a DJ was their personality. That is what will make the difference between an enjoyable reception or not. Connie's photography is AMAZING! You barely knew she was there (even though her personality is AWESOME!! it is nice to have a discrete photographer to not take away from the event), and the shots were PERFECT. Literally, not one bad photo in HUNDREDS that I received. She really listened to the types of photography I wanted, too. I scrolled through Pinterest and sent her some fun, thought provoking poses for the wedding party, and she made all of them come to life! Dave (DJ) is awesome, too. He was very structured with quite a few touch bases before the event to make sure the event went smoothly, and he listened to all of our requests and really got a sense for the type of music we love. He was even super accommodating when, unbenounced to me, my parents wanted to throw in some speeches... He was super understanding and tweaked the order of events to make sure that there were no hurt feelings that day, and it was seamless! We even had a photo booth and he had a personalized backdrop made with an emblem that my husband and I used as a theme throughout the wedding events. I can't say enough good things about these two. They truly made our day perfect!

We were very pleased with our experience working with Dave. We used him as our DJ for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Dave responded to our questions quickly and with professionalism. He gave us suggestions on how things could happen with a timeline for the night and really knew his stuff! We have some of the best memories from the night due to Dave's great personality and ease speaking to our guests. His reaction to my husband smashing cake in my face was caught on film- my favorite part of the night! Wouldn't change a thing!

OMG DK PRODUCTIONS & LYRICAL LENS were the best. Dave & Connie did everything so great. My guests were so excited, danced most of the night but the PHOTOBOOTH was the greatest hit of all. We got married on August 29th 2014. Can't wait to book with them again!

Our overall experience was great! DK Productions did such a great job. My husband and I felt confident in Connie and Dave's abilities since the first day we met them. They're professional, polite, timely, and friendly. Their prices are very reasonable and they have packages to fit anyone's budget. Although we haven't received our pictures yet, I have no doubt they came out great. Connie is very talented and fulfilled all of my picture requests. Dave was a great DJ and made the night so much fun. There were always people on the dance floor and he interacted with the guests so well (per our request). My husband and I also chose to get uplighting and it was by far the best investment we made for our wedding. It added so much to the room and all of our guest loved it! I would absolutely recommend DK Productions! Thank you Dave, Connie, Kym, and Justin, for making our wedding day so special!!!

Dave and Connie were just amazing! Even though it was a holiday weekend and we waited until the last minute to get them the information they needed, they came through for us no problem! Their dedication to making our special day as awesome as possible was amazing. I have already recommended them to another bride to be. ;)

Thanks to Lyrical Lens Photography and DK Productions Entertainment, our wedding was the most amazing day ever. I did not worry for a second about the photography or the DJ, they were the most fantastic team! There is no one better than Connie and Dave. I was extremely nervous about finding the right photographer for us, and finding a DJ that would listen to what we want and not just push their own agenda. With Lyrical Lens, I never worried for a minute about anything on my special day. Having the DJ and Photographer that work together was a huge benefit; everything went smoothly from start to finish. They and their team were there when I needed them, kept everything moving, and always checked in with me throughout the night in casual, subtle ways. We knew they were there, but I never felt pushed around or rushed. We cannot praise them enough!! Weeks after our wedding and we still get complements on the flow, our unique lighting, the rocking music that was “perfectly us”, the creative pictures they saw Connie & Amanda take, the professional conduct of our vendors, and how my wedding will stay with our guests forever. I don’t think a Bride can get better compliments and I owe that to Lyrical Lens Photography & DK Productions Entertainment. Thank you guys for giving us the best wedding a couple could ever wish for!!

I want to have another party just to hire these wonderful people! The couple of pictures I've gotten back so far are beautiful, they really know what they are doing. Connie (the photographer) got the most perfect shots of a proposal at my husbands and my wedding! Connie, Dave, and Amanda were so professional and made the day so much fun!

Dk productions did our lighting, photo booth, and our DJ. Everything was amazing! They took care of everything and we loved all of the little extras; props provided by them for photo booth, our monogram on the ceiling, changing the uplighting color throughout the night. Above all expectations!

connie was amazing she was always around taking all the best pictures of all the moments we would deff would have wanted captured.
the pictures came out amazing exactly what i always pictured my wedding photos to look like.
during the wedding she helped a lot when we had questions very helpful it was great.

Dave and Miguel were fantastic. The played all the songs I wanted and none of the songs I didn't. They were fun and had a great energy. They were also very flexible during the evening and even found and downloaded a song on the spot so I could sing to my husband which I had not planned to do. Dave met with me one night for a very long time so that we could get all the music planned out for a special section that I wanted for my husband and he was so excited in finding the music. ( my husband is a fire fighter and we had a whole "fire" section played) I would not hesitate to recommend DK Productions for your wedding or next event.

Dave and Miguel were wonderful and personable. The music was wonderful and all our requests where skillfully incorporated into both our Wedding Ceremony and our reception. Connie and April are wonderful! Relaxed, easy going, love what they do, and it shows!! Top shelf work with a "feels like I've known you for years" approach. The photography was very important to us, as it is the only "lasting element" of the day we'll have for the rest of our lives, and because of that, we interviewed almost 10 photographers. Lyrical Lens was a the CLEAR winner for us!!! Highly recommended to any and all Brides and Grooms to be!!

Connie and April were awsome, very willing to work with us and our budget. They were a joy to have at our wedding and were able to capture our special moments. We were totally impressed with our photos and with how they worked at our wedding. They were able to capture the moment without being in our faces. The best DJ around!!! Very professional and just overall great people. My guests never left the dance floor and when they found out I LOVE Disney they played Disney music during my dinner when I didn't even request it! Would use them again at our next event!!

Fantastic team to work with

Dave and Connie were fantastic! Since the first time we met with them, they made us feel like our wedding day and what we wanted was the only priority. I did not have to worry about the photography or DJ the day of because they had it handled. Connie made sure I was comfortable throughout the day and night which I can’t thank her enough for. Our families are still talking about how great of a night it was from the flow of music and the enthusiasm from Dave, to the creative pictures Connie and Matt took and to the photo booth which was such a big hit. They even had the pictures uploaded within a few weeks! It has been so much fun going through them and can’t wait to see our video! Thank you guys for helping make our wedding the best ever!

Justin was out DJ and he was a total blast!! He kind of doubled as an ad hoc bridesmaid!! He was absolutely amazing and I hope I have another event where a DJ is needed so that I can hire him again!! This company also provided a photo booth that was a huge hit!! Definitely go with these guys!!!

Dave created a very fun environment for our wedding. Every age was out on the dance floor and even my family who did not like dancing had their own entertainment with the photo booth (only feedback was it took the pics too quickly). We loved how the lights followed the music and changed colors through out the night. They even provide games to entertain your guests. We strongly recommend the bride and groom quiz. My family and friends is still talking about it!

DK productions truly did a great job at our wedding. I was worried having a day wedding that the guests may not be party and dance as opposed to night weddings. I was truly blown away Dave & his crew were able to get people on floor and continue dancing all day. Till this day i get complements on how the music we chose was integrated so well and how DK productions isnt your stereotypical DJ company with cheesy games. They are professional, dependable, and so friendly. My husband and I love all music from country to rap and each type was included. I cant thank you enough I am still getting compliments of the best wedding people have ever been too. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! We will definately book again when we renew our vows down the road.

You guys were amazing throughout our entire wedding planning, Colin and I cannot thank you enough! There was never any doubt in our minds that you would handle our wedding like it was your own. Connie and April of Lyrical Lens Photography were wonderful! They were very accomodating, coming to our home to meet with us, professional, and flexible with the package we wanted in order to customize it and get what we wanted. They were on time, always around, but not obtrusive. Photography was the most important aspect for our wedding day and Lyrical Lens not only met our expectations, but also exceeded them. About a month after our wedding I requested a picture to be printed early after a death in the family and they were willing to do me a favor and got the picture to me within about 2 days. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for the best quality photography.

I LOVED Dave and his team. Dave was so flexible, even up to the days prior when I emailed him needing some games to give away the centerpieces, and music for the anniversary dance. He made such a big deal when my grand parents were standing the longest and made them feel so special. He really got the crowd involved. Overall, DK was AWESOME. My guests raved "Your DJ is on point."

Our wedding day on 8/25/16 went very smooth thanks to the help of Dave and Connie being a huge part of it. We appreciated Dave's knowledge of what could go right or wrong, as well as his quick responsiveness and professionalism for his DJ services. He kept the night running smoothly and interacted well with the crowd. I highly recommend his uplighting package if you're looking for that extra oomph to make your night that much more memorable. Connie and her team did amazing work with photography for our Engagement shoot and Wedding. She was very accommodating and listened to what we wanted. We made sure to take lots of photos to look back on and they came out gorgeous! We were very impressed with the high quality and our experience on our wedding day. At times we would even forget they were there while we were interacting with guests, yet they managed to capture the whole night. The photobooth with props was also a big hit with our guests! It was a perfect wedding night! Of course everyone has their positives and negatives, so the only downside we experienced afterwards was having to follow up a few times for updates on when we would receive our photos and video since the 6-8 weeks we were told had passed. We are very understanding that things come up, but would've appreciated a heads up on the delay or simple courtesy updates without putting us in an uncomfortable position to keep having to wonder or ask after the expected date. It took 3 months to get the video and final photos, and we are still waiting on the wedding album. But overall, absolutely great people to work with and great experience and value package! We would recommend again for the quality we received.

Our wedding was October 11th at the Pavilion at Crystal Lake. DK was a full service team that made for an unforgettable day! First of all Chris and I would like to say the crew was amazing and would like to thank them for all their hard work to make our day special from beginning to end. Connie, Dave, Kim, Justin, Chris and Abby thank you so much! The crew knew exactly how to keep the flow going all night and make for some amazing photo opportunities. The dance floor was never empty and Dave and Justin kept the tempo at the right speed all night long. The photo booth was a huge hit by all of our guests and the personalized monogram was icing on the cake:) We are so excited to view our pictures and videography! Thank you so much Dave and Connie!!

We opted for the dj, lighting and photo booth package. We were happy with everything! The music kept everyone on the dance floor he whole night and the lighting complimented the venue nicely. We highly recommend the photo booth book collage: the funny photos from friends and family were priceless! We would recommend DK productions to anyone!

David did a great job on the lighting and the photo booth was great many of my guests made positive comments on the photo booth and lighting. Some felt the music being played after dinner was old school an needed to be more modern and up to date which I agreed also we did not hear songs from are play list

Lyrical Lens and DK Productions were amazing!!! I initially contracted with Lyrical Lens for photography and videography. My husband and I met Connie and Amanda at a bridal show. From that first encounter, I knew they would be the perfect addition to our wedding. Connie did an amazing job with our engagement session. We had to reschedule a few times due to inclement weather, but Connie was very accommodating even with our busy schedules. At the wedding, she and Amanda were even more amazing. They were prompt and very professional. They came up with creative poses for the bridal party and were sure to include the poses we asked for. I honestly didn't even notice them at the ceremony and reception. When they say they are not intrusive, they really mean it! My husband and I, as well as our guests truly appreciated that. We also rented the photobooth, which was a huge hit! Our guests loved all of the props and the fact that they could create a short video clip in the booth to congratulate us. Two weeks before the wedding, we added the lighting package. It was worth every penny!! The lights completely transformed our venue and helped get the party started toward the end of the night. We just got married 10 days ago, so we haven't received our photos yet, but I'm sure they will be beautiful. I highly recommend DK Productions & Lyrical Lens to any bride on a budget!!!

Great company to work with. They have a great online system to input all of your information into. The songs they played at the wedding kept everyone on the dance floor the whole night. Dave is really fun, and his energy alone shows how much he loves his job.

DK Productions made our wedding day so incredibly special. The pictures help us to relive that day every time we see them. And the DJ had such a great selection of music, that no one seemed to feel like their song wasn't played. He even taught us how to do the line dances, such as Electric Slide and The Cupid Shuffle. Between these two services, our reception was an unforgettable night! Everyone at DK was also so professional and willing to help out with anything. They were even willing to work with our budget, just so we could have a great reception and not worry about how to pay them. We would recommend DK Productions to anyone!

Dave and Miguel DJ'ed my wedding in Oct 2009. They were very professional and worked with the crowd to enable us all to have a blast! They did a good job playing the songs I requested and accomodating some of my more off-beat ideas. We booked DK as we wanted a DJ who knew Spanish music for 1/2 the guests that would be in attendance at our wedding. We provided a play list for the other music to include a list of 'must play', 'must not play' songs, and insisted on ending the evening with "New York, New York" as DH and I are DIEHARD Yankee fans. We had planned out the non-spanish music very well over the months leading up to the wedding and provided the list on multiple occassions. Instead, songs on the 'do not play' list were played, and the 'must play' list were never heard. The last song ended up being some spanish song DH and I were unfamiliar with. The look of horror on my face when the DJ announced it was the last song says it all on our wedding video. I was irate to say the least. If you don't care what's played, then book DK, otherwise, I advise that you look elsewhere.

Major communication Issues

My husband and I got married on December 8, 2018. We went and met with the company in March 2017 and decided to go with them and signed a contract. We went with the Premium wedding package which included DJ’s, up lighting, custom monogram, photography with online gallery, a thumb drive, wedding album, videography, a photo booth, and an engagement photo session. We met and did our engagement shoot in November of 2017. In early November of 2018 we were contacted to do a final meeting before our wedding to finalize everything. We attempted to set up a date and didn’t hear from them till after several emails to which they stated that they had been dealing with a family emergency. We agreed that they would contact us via facetime for the meeting and set a date. The time for our appointment came and went and we did not hear for them. Two hours after our meeting was supposed to take place we reached out in an email to inquire about the missed meeting. We did not get a response to our email so we contacted them via text two days later. They responded a while later and said that they again had an emergency and that was why they didn’t make our scheduled meeting. They did say they emailed us saying that they were not going to make the appointment however we did not receive the email till after we had finally gotten a hold of them via text. Finally we rescheduled the meeting and successfully had it. Everything was set to go. On the day of my wedding the photographer text me before she arrived and asked if there was someone that would be able to give her a ride to the venue from where I was getting ready as she was supposed to be there to photograph the bridal party getting ready. She was able to get a ride with the videographer, we just found it a bit odd that a vendor was reaching out to us for a ride. She also showed up a half hour late from when I wanted her to arrive. With her arriving late it pushed the schedule I had back but it all ended up working out it just was not what we had discussed in our final meeting. The day of our wedding as whole was amazing they did a terrific job the day of my wedding. The music and introductions were awesome and the DJ was very interactive. The photographers and videographer captured everything we wanted. I could not have been happier. We were able to see our photos on an online website a little over a month after our wedding which we were happy we got to see them that soon. After this is when we started having problems again. Over the next month (mid-January to mid-February) I had text Connie a couple times about the timeline of when the personalized flash drive, the wedding video and the wedding album that we were supposed to receive would be done. I was given different answers when I would follow up after not hearing back from her, ranging from saying she would have to talk to Dave, to saying she had been ill. On February 16th she said the album was up online and I could look at it and chose a photo for the cover. She also said that it was going to be an additional $150 for it because it was more pages than what was in my contract unless I took some photos out. I approved the extra $150 because I liked the set up and all the pictures that were chosen. I ended up sending them my selection for my album cover on March 2nd. On March 19th I sent another text saying I was checking in to see how everything was going. I was told that they were still working on my video and that they would let me know when they had a shipment date on my album. In April I sent them a couple more texts asking how everything was going and when should I expect my things. I felt like I was getting excuse after excuse about why it was taking so long, from family emergencies, to illnesses or that they were traveling back from Florida. In the beginning of May, after seeing and sharing in our frustration my mother offered to get involved not only for us, but because my brother and his fiancé were also in the process of planning their wedding, so I handed things over to her and let her take charge from there. My mother attempted to contact them and reached the company voicemail. She then attempted to contact them again in the following days after not hearing back from them and now the voicemail was a generic message from the provider instead of the business message she got days before. She was then later contacted by them via text instead of phone call. When my mom spoke to them they hadn’t even ordered my wedding album when I had picked the cover photo and authorized the additional expense for it two months prior. I don’t understand why it took two months to order it. When my mom picked the items up she was told the photo I picked for the cover was too big so they chose a different one to put on the cover. The picture on front is a very nice however being the one who is purchasing it I feel I should have been the one to make the decision on the replacement photo. I finally received everything on May 14th and still had to pay them the $150. The only thing they tried to do to make it better was they printed out about 15 pictures for my mom and I. I will say the job they do on the day of the wedding and the pictures you receive are amazing and better than I could have expected. I understand that emergencies happen and delays come up however when running a business I would think it would be important to be upfront with your customers rather than having the customer track you down after not getting a response. Again, the day of our wedding and the quality of our pictures and videos were great; however lack of communication during planning and follow up are issues that we ran into.

Do not book for videography

Before booking please read this review, it may save you time, money, and regret. We booked with Lyrical Lens/DK productions for our wedding in June 2019. Everything was working well with the company in the beginning. We purchased the package with photography, videography, DJ, and photo booth. In addition we added the feature film and extra hours of photo and videography so nothing from our special day would be missed. Our package also came with an engagement photo session. Our experience with Lyrical Lens/ DK productions began with the engagement photo shoot. It was wonderful Connie and her partner were amazing and the photos came out beautiful. After the engagement photos we focused on the wedding. The company had a website which was very easy to put songs, names of bridal party, etc. Prior to the wedding we had to meet to go over everything. Lyrical Lens had to reschedule the meeting at the last minute due to a emergency of some sort. When we rescheduled and met everything seemed great. The day of our wedding came! Dave the DJ was awesome. Connie and her partner did great with the photos although looking back I do have some regrets. I did not have a photo with my grandmother or me with my flower girls. This is partially my fault as I should have said something, but with the craziness of the wedding day I wasn’t thinking of these photos. The photo booth was great and guests loved it. Now to the videography. This is our BIGGEST REGRET! We first received our raw edit that had half the church ceremony with the video pointed to the floor, the back of people’s heads, or no volume. Once speaking to the company this was fixed. However, the reception is missing every important moment! It is missing the bride and grooms first dance, bridal party entrances, garter/bouquet removal and toss, our cocktail hour singer we hired, a special bride and groom game played, and anniversary dance. In addition, the video from the ceremony is missing one of our special guests doing a reading, bridal party walking down the aisle, godparents bringing down the gifts, and our receiving line. When confronting the company about these missing pieces it took a week and a half for them to tell us there was a technical issue and it was all gone. We were asked if we would like a canvas or larger album to make up for it. We were so upset all these moments were forever missing of our wedding video that is not something a canvas could make up for. Because of this I told them to hold off on making our feature film. We paid a lot for this and if there were all these missing pieces we didn’t want it. However they made it anyway. We agreed on a refund of the extra hour of videography we paid for, but that still doesn’t replace these important moments missing. We had to take videos our guests took and have Dave include them in our video. It is now January 2020 and we have finally received everything included in our package. Every time we would reach out about our items they had some excuse why things were not done. Overall, we completely regret our video from Lyrical Lens. We spent so much money to be sure we had everything and it was not worth it at all. We also have spent so much time going back and forth with the company on their mistakes or missed deadlines.
