Lydia was amazing! She did a boudoir shoot for me (It's been on my bucket list for a while) I left feeling sexy & empowered! I highly recommend her- she has a bright and bubbly personality which make you feel immediately at ease. -

You want an awesome photographer? Hire Lydia !!! Her skill is unmatched. The way she captured my wedding day has me speechless. When you get married you want all of the special moments to be captured so you can cherish them forever through photographs. Lydia captured EVERY SINGLE MOMENT. She is not your standard photograph either. She takes photos from different perspectives that turn out to be the BEST photos. I’m forever grateful of Lydia Joy Photography. -

Are you looking for someone to tell YOUR story, or someone to tell the same story?
When my husband and I were searching for a photographer I knew I needed to find someone we connected to. Lydia was great from start to finish! When we had our engagement session, I couldnt wait to do our "date night." I wasnt sure what to expect because we werent comfortable infront of cameras. Lydia made this simple by putting us right in our element! We chatted as if we were all friends sharing stories about our lives. This made for a very natural setting and that's exactly how our photos came out!
Now for the wedding! We happened to get married on the ONE day it rained/sleet/and snowed out of the year! In the beginning I was upset we wouldn't be able to get all of the shots I had hoped for. Stressed that my outside wedding, now turned upside down and inside. Lydia put Ed & I at ease the entire day. She put us first and made sure she grabbed us in time to have our first look outside when there was a 5 minute break in the weather. She took romantic shots inside, and made them ours.
Lydia made sure to capture all of the moments you didn't realize you wanted. If you want your photos to represent the little moments, the sentimental moments, the moments you will cherish for a lifetime. She is your girl.
When I look at my photos from our day, I picture Ed and I showing our children one day, them showing their children.
Lydia doesnt just capture your love story, she captures your legacy.

I found Lydia through a friend and fell in love with her photos! I knew we had to book her the week we got engaged! Lydia is truly a special person and her photos are one of a kind. She makes you feel comfortable and makes the experience fun, enjoyable, and easy. Come wedding time, she does things so smoothly and doesn’t miss a thing. My family kept pointing out how she “never stopped”. She was there catching every thing. We have only seen our sneak peeks but already feel like we can relive our day through these beautiful photos. We can’t wait to see the rest.
Thank you Lydia, from the bottom of our hearts! Not only did we get a photographer, but I feel like we made an amazing friend. -

Words cannot describe how phenomenal Lydia is! She really captured every beautiful moment of our engagement and wedding. I love her philosophy of no posing because everything looked and felt so natural. She literally laid on the floor to get amazing shots of our families and friends. After recently getting our engagement photos back from her ... we now know why she stood out; everything is perfect!!!!!!! Our photos are gorgeous, very timely in responding to messages and questions yet very reasonably priced! We cannot wait to see the magic she creates for our wedding!! -

It's taken me a while to post this just because I have an endless amount of good things to say about Lydia. When I first saw Lydia's work I was completely in awe and fell in love with her style and her moments that she captured. Back in 2017 my now husband & I entered to win a session with her. By the grace of god we won and chose to do our engagement photos with her. Within minutes of meeting her I knew I wanted her to capture every important moment in our lives for years to come. We LOVED our engagement photos and once we saw them we knew we had to have her capture our wedding. We did another fall mini session with her and used them as our save the dates. As for our wedding photos-I'm again completely in awe. So many moments captured that I would've never even thought to capture. Some pictures I didn't even know were taken and they're my favorite. She was absolutely amazing with us through every shoot and the entire wedding process. The main thing I wanted for our wedding was an amazing photographer and Lydia made that dream come true. So incredibly grateful for her. -

Emily Sent on 10/10/2018We LOVE Lydia! We fell in love with her as soon as we got engaged, and enjoyed ALL of our interactions with her. She made it so easy to schedule engagement pictures, and quickly got rid of our camera shyness - she was so much fun! We got a beautiful album of engagement pictures which we were able to use as a guestbook at our wedding. Then she got even better. She made the wedding picture process SO easy. She had us fill out a questionaire on everything we wanted captured for the day, and she remembered everything! Pictures went so smoothly and quickly, and were so much fun to take. We had our gallery delivered quickly and were amazed at all the images and memories she captured. I kept saying “I don’t even remember what happened during our wedding day, it went so fast!” And now I can look back and cherish all the memories and emotions forever. We will definitely have her photograph us again! Thank you so much Lydia!
