I cannot recommend Karla enough! She went above and beyond to bring my wedding vision to life, creating the most incredible moss floral sculptures that left everyone in awe. They were truly unlike anything I’ve ever seen at a wedding.
She also designed a stunning purse bouquet that was absolutely perfect!

She and her team worked incredibly hard to design and set up hundreds of bud vases, over 1000 candles, a beautiful ceremony drapery installation, and more - she really made our dreams come to life. Karla’s professionalism shone through the entire process; she went above and beyond to take in new ideas from me, meet my family, and make sure I always felt comfortable with the process. She was recommended by a dear friend that is in the flower industry and experienced Karla's beautiful work at a relative's wedding. From the first meeting until the day of our wedding, our experience with Karla was fabulous! She's incredibly professional and talented. Not only did she listen to our needs and wants but also contributed her expertise to make our wedding day absolutely gorgeous! The arrangements that Karla put together were stunningly beautiful and all of our guests commented on them that day and in messages for the past couple of weeks after! Wedding planning can be stressful as we all know, but Karla takes any stress out of it because of how confident and capable she is We were so happy with how everything went and couldn't have been more pleased by the outcome of our work together. I'm so happy that Karla was our florist for our big day! Karla really delivered. Prior to hiring her, we set up a phone call where my husband and I discussed our vision for the wedding: white, cream, and greens, with a mix of elegance and simplicity... and influence from the iconic Twilight saga!!
I personally wanted something similar to the Breaking Dawn wedding scene where there were lots of white and cream flowers & wisteria while also being budget friendly. Karla was able to take the vision and run with it. She was so welcoming, non-judgmental, and knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable with communicating my vision for the big day and made me feel hopeful that we could make this vision a reality.
In addition to the beautiful arch that she decorated for us, she made us aisle markers made of flowers, brought white rose petals and set it along the aisle AND brought some for my flower man to toss down the aisle. She also made 13 bouquets for me & all of my bridesmaids. The florals during dinner time were amazing as well with long green garlands with white florals still staying on theme. She also provided us with the candles floating on water as well which I think was such a great touch!
My husband and I are so impressed with how everything turned out. She really went above and beyond (and within budget too). Trust me, you won't regret hiring Karla as your florist! -

It was such a pleasure working with Karla! From the very beginning, I shared my vision for the color scheme and the overall feeling I wanted for my wedding—and she absolutely delivered. Her floral arrangements created a light, fresh, spring-like atmosphere that was simply exquisite.
I was quite particular about the flowers in my bouquet and had a special request: I wanted to include forget-me-nots for sentimental reasons. Although they weren’t available through her usual vendors, Karla went above and beyond by cutting some from her own garden just for me. My bouquet was stunning, and she even made a small separate arrangement of forget-me-nots as an extra gift.

Karla Wade, the owner of Luxury Floral Design, is creative, knowledgeable and flexible. She designed a set of floral table arrangements, bouquets and other decor with my daughter's preferences in mind, and made a dark barn on a stormy winter night come alive with warmth and beauty. Gorgeous and Delightful
We had the pleasure of working with Karla for our October wedding in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Karla created a medley of soft, warm, rich, romantic floral designs that were executed beautifully with love and care. She was receptive to our ideas and captured the style, flair, and overall essence and sentiment we wanted our wedding to convey. Professional and responsive throughout the process, she partnered with us to offer suggestions that complemented our aesthetic vision and graciously accommodated our many requests.
From elegant bridal party bouquets and boutonnières to gorgeous cascading florals for the cake to lovely flower girl headbands and rose petal baskets to enchanting floral and candle arrangements for the ceremony and reception, Karla did a stellar job at orchestrating all of our floral designs.
We actually preserved a few of the bouquets and boutonnières that are framed and lovingly displayed in our home. We can’t recommend Karla and Luxury Floral Designs enough. -

Beautiful florals that exceeded our expectations!
Karla was such a joy to work with from our first consultation at her studio all the way to any questions we had after our wedding! She captured our vision perfectly and blew us away with how gorgeous her creations were on the day of. All our guests were talking about how beautiful the florals were and we really appreciated the beauty and effort by Karla! She is super flexible to work with and has such a kind heart. We were able to talk through any flower choices we wanted to see if they would be safe for our pets and see pictures of the actual florals to help decide some of the choices. She also followed the inspiration pictures beautifully and wove in all of our sentimental elements to the bouquets wonderfully! Her attention to detail and added special touches really brought our decor together and we can't thank her enough for that! -

Karla did our floral decorations for our wedding and wedding rehearsal in Watsonville, CA. She was lovely to work with and super responsive. We loved all her bouquets and flower arrangements with our tables. Since I am an artist, I had an art exhibition at our wedding - she was able to weave in her flowers to my installation and sprinkle flowers in the fountains. Karla did the flowers for my wedding and I am SO SO happy with how they turned out. We met early on at her studio and she made me feel super comfortable with the planning process. I did not know how to articulate what I wanted and she asked all the right questions that helped me figure out my aesthetic. After we talked she made a super helpful planning sheet that laid out each arrangement, how many and where they would go. I am very visually and textually oriented so that was very helpful for me. We checked in multiple times leading up to the day and she was super flexible and rolled with all the little changes and additions I had. On the day of she was like a flower fairy, making sure everything was where it was supposed to be and tweaking what needed to be tweaked. If you chose LFD for your wedding or event you can be sure that she will get it done smoothly and you will not need to stress about anything. You are in good hands with Karla and, most importantly, your flower bouquets and arrangements will be STUNNING. -

Karla was so patient with me, and gracious. I changed my work order with her numerous times, and she was ALWAYS responsive and more than willing to make sure she understood fully what it was I envisioned and then made that come to life on my special day. The flowers were key to what I wanted with my intamite wedding setting at Bargetto Winery, and she knocked it out of the park. Also, the flowers were AMAZING - both in the color choice Karla helped me find and the overall look/quality. Karla allowed me to stay on budget and understood what I wanted to achieve in that department as well, which was more than appreciated by us. She also agreed to do a pickup option, which I know other florist won't necessarily for big orders. Thank you Karla for everything you did, we appreciate you!!!!! -

We came out to Santa Cruz for a venue walkthrough with our coordinator and after, visited Karla at her home workshop nearby. She executed all of our requests; 10 bouquets, corsages, boutineers, aisle florals, arch decor/florals, cake florals, welcome sign florals, table design/decor/florals… absolutely everything we needed for a beautiful wedding, she did and was 100% prepared. She will provide you with a document of every item she is providing/completing so you know what you can expect on the big day. The pricing was fair for material and hard work! She also accepts deposits, and spaced out payments so if you’re a couple on a budget, this really comes in handy. 10/10 reccomend! -

I am so glad I made the decision to go with Luxury Floral Designs by Karla. She helped me bring my vision to life and was so kind and helpful when deciding color schemes and types of flowers. She put in so much work and effort into making the most beautiful and romantic flowers I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t get over how amazing they looked on my big day and couldn’t fathom not preserving them which I did into a ring and box from Etsy. They were just so beautiful I couldn’t not spend money to make sure they lasted a lifetime. Karla also had to make two trips to drop off flowers and have them ready for our ceremony and she did such an amazing and awesome job making sure everything was ready to go in time. From the very start, she was super communicative and quick to get me a detailed proposal with photos that followed my vision exactly. Her prices were fair and she was kind and flexible about changes I wanted to make throughout the year including doing mini succulents for place cards and using our personal growlers for bouquets to mark the table names. On the day of the wedding, I was absolutely blown away by how full and vibrant the flowers looked and was totally obsessed with my bride bouquet. Karla was wonderful for our 2 weddings! She is so easy to work with and was extremely flexible with us when COVID threw our original wedding plans out the window. We had to pare down our original 150+ wedding guest party to just a 25 person wedding, and she graciously agreed to do the florals not only for our June 2021 minimony, but also for our larger March 2022 wedding too.
Karla made things easy and she has a wonderful, creative eye. She had me over to her workshop to see her space where she works and I felt very welcomed. She is professional, detail-oriented, and friendly and we chatted for a while about ideas/vision for the day. We appreciated her creativity and resourcefulness, especially for repurposing flower arrangements for various things throughout the wedding day (such as using the floral arch from the ceremony for the sweetheart table, etc).
Karla's floral arrangements for both our weddings were simply breathtaking. Our guests were all raving and commenting even days and weeks after the wedding how beautiful the centerpieces were. Hands down, we have never seen more beautiful arrangements and were so glad we chose Karla for our special day. We highly recommend her for whatever your needs are!

Karla is a rock star. She had everything under control from Day 1 when we inquired to her - from absolutely nailing our vision to building an entire floral design that fit seamlessly into the aesthetic of our venue. She was communicative, friendly and thorough in every correspondence we traded in the months leading up. The day of our wedding, she was there early and ready to execute - even to the point where watching her work helped significantly to de-stress my groom!!! We even found a little note from her in our Guestbook Advice Box after our wedding. Gorgeous Tropical Wedding Flowers
Karla designed the most gorgeous tropical flowers for our daughter's beach wedding in Monterey. She was pleasant, professional, and an absolute delight to work with throughout the entire process. She carefully guided us through the selection of flowers, bouquets, and decorative pieces at the initial consultation and provided us with a detailed invoice, complete with concept pictures of each piece ordered. Karla was always available and prompt in answering our questions as they arose while planning for the big day.
When the wedding day arrived, Karla miraculously delivered boutonnieres and bouquets to the wedding party and decorated multiple stations at four different sites at the venue. The flowers were by far the most beautiful design aspect of the wedding. We couldn't be happier with our experience with Karla. -

The Best Florist
Like most people we had to postpone our wedding from 2020 to 2021. Karla was able to work with us the entire time and luckily we were able to meet with her early on to discuss what we were wanting for our wedding. We wanted a tropical arrangement of flowers as our wedding would be on the beach in Monterey. We had some ideas of what we wanted but we weren’t fully sure except that we wanted tropical. We gave her some inspiration pictures and she knew exactly what to do. Our flowers were stunning. Everyone that sees the pictures of them always makes a comment about them and everyone wanted to them home after the wedding. She was hands down one of our best vendors. She has amazing communication and was so awesome overall to work with. She really tunes in to what you what and delivers. If you’re looking for an amazing florist please look no further. -

I am so grateful that we found Karla and Luxury Floral Designs for our wedding! She was very thorough in her planning process, making sure to understand everything we wanted for our floral décor and providing example pictures of different designs to make sure she would get it right.
The day of, she dropped off bouquets and then made the rest happen without needing any input from either of us. It was incredibly magical to arrive at the wedding and see our vision executed perfectly from bouquets to centerpieces and garlands and everything in between! Karla was committed to bringing my visions to life and recreated all of the favorite elements from my various Pinterest inspiration photos. Through the whole process, she was very flexible and understanding in making sure I stayed within my budget and gave me lots of different options for ways things could be tweaked. Then when my wedding date/venue had to move, she was very willing to accommodate even though it meant farther travel for her. On the day of the wedding, when my flower girl crown broke, she immediately put together a new one for her without a second thought. Everything turned out beautiful! Highly recommend Karla! -

Karla was a fantastic florist to work with. I'm the kind of girl who has no idea about florals at all -- I had a basic Pinterest board but it was all over the place, really no consistency. Karla took that and guided me through not only what to choose, but how to think about what to choose. She worked hard to hit my budget and more, gave me suggestions for arrangements to could cut costs, and even helped adjust my wedding day schedule so that the flowers would be fresh and beautiful for the whole day. Karla went above and beyond to ensure that my wedding floral creations were perfect! I was a pretty indecisive bride who only had a rough idea of what I wanted (theme and colors was basically it) and Karla was able to take my very loose idea of a plan and turn it into something better than I could have ever dreamed of! Karla was very responsive and organized which really helped this busy bride-to-be! She put together examples of what each floral arrangement would look like and included notes for colors and placement along with transparent pricing. I was able to review and make changes along the way to ensure it was exactly what I wanted in the end. I'm so so pleased with how everything turned out! My husband and I live in Washington, DC, but wanted to get married close to his family in Santa Cruz, CA. I was starting completely from scratch and feeling pretty stressed about it! Our venue recommended Karla as an option when I was interviewing florists and I knew within 5 minutes on the phone that she was the one.
She was reassuring, detail-oriented, responsive and reasonable throughout the planning process. I told her a few preferences for color, style, and budget, and she took it from there. She recommended ways to splurge and save in all the right places to execute within our budget.

Amazing Florist, Affordable, and Amazing Flower creations
Karla was amazing. I interviewed 5+ florists and she completely understood my vision and was an amazing value for the quality of her work. Karla was fabulous and helped us design and bring to life an amazing wedding in January up at Roaring Camp. She was easy to contact, allowed me to drop supplies at her home , and supplied all the boxes to clean up / take home the decor . I contacted Karla because she has experience working within the constrainsts of Roaring Camp regarding timing for set up etc . She helped us bring our centerpiece dream to life in a beautiful way . She got all the dark blue colors I wanted for bouquets and even let me ship stuff to her house we had already purchased. 12 centerpieces with candles , mirrors and jewels and accents of blue orchids . We also had grove /aisle decor and 3 cocktail tables . We had so many compliments on our decor . Turned out beautiful . -
