The Best Place to Say YES to the Dress

I was very nervous about wedding dress shopping and wasn’t quite sure how the experience would go—until I heard about Luxe Bridal from a coworker. After looking into Luxe and hearing about her daughter’s experience, I decided to make an appointment, and I am so glad I did.

From start to finish, the experience could not have been better. I’ve seen friends feel stressed, overwhelmed, or unsure during dress shopping due to limited options or less supportive stylists—but that was absolutely not my experience here. Every single person I interacted with was kind, helpful, and genuinely supportive.

My stylist, Hannah, was absolutely wonderful. On the day of my appointment, I felt relaxed and confident knowing there would be plenty of beautiful options to try—not just two or three dresses. Hannah was so fun, attentive, and thoughtful (there was even a fan, which was such a great touch!). She encouraged me to try gowns I never imagined myself wearing, and the entire experience felt exciting, calm, and joyful—ending with a big YES!

What truly stood out was how supported I felt through every step of the process—not just trying on dresses. From saying yes and celebrating, to reviewing my order details, taking my dress home, and receiving a trusted alterationist recommendation, the team was incredibly helpful and reassuring throughout. I always felt cared for and never rushed or overwhelmed.

Feeling both beautiful and comfortable in your dream dress is clearly Luxe Bridal’s goal, and for me, they absolutely delivered. I truly enjoyed working with Hannah and the entire Luxe Bridal team and cannot recommend them enough. Thank you for such a wonderful and unforgettable experience! 💕

The Best Plus Size Bridal Shop

Bride’s Dress - Luxe Bridal Couture - 9.5/10
Luxe was so amazing in helping me find my wedding dress. We went to some other shops before Luxe and definitely didn’t feel the same way as when we were there. Suzanne was so helpful and found me the perfect dress within minutes of shopping there. The only reason why I rated less than 10 was because I was given a bodice to try on with my dress which I ended up buying. When I went to the tailor shop she told me I didn’t need to use it and it would be very uncomfortable if she sewed it into the dress. So I ended up paying $100+ more for the bodice that I never used.

Amazing staff

OMG this is the One

I tried on a number of dresses at a number of shops. But I’m a little thicker, not a full Plus Size gal, but felt super comfortable with all the styles at Luxe Bridal. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They were cautious to stay in my price range and only showed me a dress or two that were $100 more than what I wanted. Definitely a great experience.

I Felt So Beautiful!

I splurged for a White Carpet Appointment, and I’m SO glad I did. I went shopping on my birthday, and I had Suzanne as my consultant. Like SO many brides in here have said before, Suzanne was INCREDIBLE. She respected my budget, and she brought me the dream dress to try on. She knew it was the one before I even saw myself in it. My whole group loved her, even the ones we videoed in! She did a great job explaining all the various upsells, but she never pushed me to buy them (even though I bought literally everything she was upselling haha). When my dress came in, they were really responsive and worked with me to find a time to come in and try it on. When I came to pick up my dress, they let me spend as much time in it as I wanted. As a plus size bride, I was always dreading dress shopping. I’ve watched a lot of “Say Yes to the Dress,” and plus size brides always had issues finding something that they could imagine themselves in. But I felt so at ease when I went to Luxe. I felt like a goddess in everything Suzanne brought out during my appointment, even the ones I hated! I will recommend Luxe forever and ever.

Brittany and Susanna did an excellent job helping me find the right dress right off the bat, and then Brittany helped me try it on and helped me with finding the right bra. I couldn't ask for better service.

She made me cry, in a good way.

After going to 3 different bridal shops, I came to Luxe. I found a dress at another shop and was convinced it was "the one" However, Amy had something in mind to try to make sure that it was... the one, they also had the dress that I was so sure of however she didnt want to pull it until the end. She had me try on similar styles but with added detail as the one I was looking at was purely dove satin and no detail. She was courteous of my budget and hid a dress behind her back and asked me if I would be open to trying it on. I was timid but it was only 150 over budget and my mom convinced me that I needed to try it. She said she wouldn't have brought it out if it wasn't going to be worth it. I put this dress on and have never felt more comfortable and beautiful in a gown. It was instant tears for me. That is how I knew it was the one.

Amy was beyond amazing, resourceful and if I said i like this, dont like this she listened intently and knew what to pull for me next. I HIGHLY recommend going there. The selection of dresses was PHENOMENAL and they bring them in one at a time so it isnt overwhelming.

I will forever prase them for making me cry - it is near impossible 😂

Fabulous experience

I went to the Rochester salon. My stylist was Hilary and she was absolutely amazing. The entire experience was great. I was treated with respect and like a princess. They really knew what style I liked and what I was going for the theme of the wedding. All of their dresses were stunning! I promise you this is where you will find your dress. Fabulous place for plus size brides my friends. This is a must to go see what they have and have a great experience! You won’t go anywhere else.

Personalized Attention for the Large Bride

I loved working with Luxe for both my Bridal Gown and we ended up back here for our Bridesmaids dresses too. The quality of the product Luxe carries was better than at the other shops we went to, and the personalized attention we received was top of the line. These ladies clearly love what they do and they love to bring joy to their brides. At Luxe you are not just a customer, you are a friend! I am a little sad I will never need to buy another wedding gown! If I did, I would go right back to Luxe Bridal! They are a bit more expensive than some chains, but their service makes that expense 100% worth it!

I had the best experience at Luxe! If you don't enjoy shopping because you're plus size (like me), book an appointment here! Everything I tried on fit, unlike the other place I tried on dresses. We tried on about 7 dresses and I felt beautiful in every one. My consultant Andrea listened well to what I liked or didn't like and was super efficient when grabbing dresses/dressing me. Luxe exceeded my expectations and I'm so happy I found MY dress. The body positive atmosphere they provided helped calm my nerves as well. Highly recommend any plus sized bride shop here- you will not be disappointed!

Wonderful experience!

Plus size bride

Amazing experience

I went to Luxe Bridal more than once to try on dresses to make sure I found "the dress". Every time I went there, everyone was so nice and made me feel beautiful. I ended up finding my dress there and I can't wait for it to come in so I can see it again in May!

Luxe is extacly where any plus size bride needs to go. They make you feel comfortable right from the start and they have a huge dress selection. I had Suzanne as my consultant and she was more than perfect. She had so many patience... my appointment ended up going over the time limit pass store closing and she made it seem like no big deal. If you are plus sized you need to make this your first stop in your dress shopping experience. My experience at Luxe was nothing short of great. Suzanne was my consultant and she was attentive, patient, and so helpful in picking out my dream dress by listening to what my ideas and wishes were in a dress. The saying you get what you pay for is more than true here. I cannot express the amount of expertise, professionalism, and knowledge this bridal salon has. They knew what would fit, look excellent and listened to what you have in mind. The experience here was utterly pampering at it's best. I truly felt like a BRIDE! I found THE dress and could not more excited. When I contacted Luxe I had stated what I had in mind. They had me try on a dress that could not have been closer to what was in my mind. That said, I ended up picking something that was completely opposite of my vision because it just ticked every single box. The quality is unsurpassed. The entire experience was completely different from the horror show I had experienced in two other places. In typical bridal gown shops, they would take a dress that was less than half my size, clamp it onto my bra with the entire back open, and then expect me to parade around in front of strangers in it. Luxe was completely different from start to finish. The dresses were my size, I was given a private area with my bridesmaids and mom, and I was able to buy a gown from their samples for a significant reduction in price, all because a couple of beads were loose. I felt like a princess, I love my dress, and I would highly recommend their store to anyone who has curves. Thank you, Luxe!

Do yourself a favor and make Luxe Bridal your one stop shop to find your wedding gown! I found my dress here and I’m so glad that I did! As soon as you walk in you feel welcomed, pampered and special. The boutique style salon has a great selection of dresses that can appease many different budgets, styles, and silhouettes. My consultant at Luxe was fantastic. She was really helpful and pulled dresses that fit my vision. Without telling her she even pulled the dress I went in there to try on! And it was perfect :) she was really encouraging me to get the dress I want for my wedding. I had gone to another shop and told them about my dream dress and they told me it wouldn't look good on me and that I couldn't do a zipper back I should have a corset. I went back to Luxe to try the dress on again and told her my concerns. She reassured me that it would look great and a zipper would be fine so I got it. She measured it perfectly- I got a custom lengthy and was really nervous about it but when it got in it fit perfectly and the was prefect length. I couldn't be happier with my visits there.

I had Jessica as my consultant, and she was fabulous! I went to several other bridal salons prior to Luxe, and none of them even compared to my service with her! She sat down and really took the time to get to know what I wanted before pulling anything, and made sure to be very sensitive to my budget. She was extremely professional and I could not be any happier with the dresses she put me in, or the advice she gave. I am an indecisive person, and I bought the first dress she put me in. I also received a hand written note and a swatch of my dress in the mail to help with my planning less than a week later.

I loved Luxe Bridal! It was wonderful to be able to go to a store and have dresses that fit me. I'm not the most traditional, "girly, girl" and I was super nervous to have a bunch of attention on me trying on dresses. My perfect dress was the third dress I tried on. The stylist that helped me took what I had told her I wanted in a wedding dress and found me gorgeous gowns that fit me and were within my budget. Luxe Bridal is a god-send to the plus size bride. It was the first shop I went to, and the consultant who helped me, Kristy, was amazing. She was sweet, patient and made me feel so beautiful. She also did not pressure me to buy. Unfortunately, I found "the dress" at another shop, but I wanted so badly to give my business to Luxe. In the end, I just needed to go with the dress that I loved, but I would recommend Luxe as the starting place for every plus size bride. Other bridal boutiques can be a big self-esteem hit to brides who can't fit into any of their sample sizes (I experienced this first hand at other shops). Luxe makes you feel so beautiful!!

I bought a dress at Luxe in August 2014 for my March 2015 wedding.

Luxe really lived up to the reviews and my expectations of what wedding dress shopping should feel like. I had tried on dresses at 3 stores in the Philly area prior to Luxe and had mediocre to bad experiences both in service and selection of dresses that I was able to try on as a plus-size bride, even though I'd called ahead to verify that there would be dresses in my size and the styles i was interested in.

When i came back to the midwest to visit family I made an appointment at Luxe not sure if it would be any better, but was thrilled and excited to find a lovely establishment that made me and my family feel comfortable and offered an amazing selection of gorgeous dresses. My stylist was great - she really understood what I was looking for and my desire to feel comfortable and not too over-the-top, while still feeling bridal. I wound up leaving after my first appointment not quite ready to commit, but within a month I'd booked another appointment and bought my dress at Luxe.

The service didn't end there though - as an out of town bride I was happy with their on-going communication, including notifying me when the dress arrived and when it was shipped to me. The dress arrived here in great condition and I can't wait to wear it. Luxe really epitomized providing both great products and great service to their brides.

Before I discovered Luxe Bridal, my first wedding dress shopping experience was very stressful. The sample sizes at the place I had gone to initially were all sizes 2 and 4 (which I didn't fit into), and my self esteem took a pretty big hit. I am so thankful that I came across Luxe Bridal on an online search. My experience there was amazing. Not only was I able to comfortably fit into all of the sample sizes I tried on, each one was even more beautiful than the last. Audrey was incredibly helpful and knew exactly what dresses to pull for me to try on. I found my dream dress, and Audrey picked out a veil and jewelry that went with it perfectly. Also the corset bra that they use when you try on dresses is amazing. I felt and looked better than I had at all since I started shopping for my dress. They were able to expedite the order for the dress and everything arrived only about 3 months after we placed the order, which was amazing. Also, since I live in Wisconsin they were able to ship the dress to me so I could have alterations made closer to home. I even received a wonderful handwritten note from Audrey after my appointment. The whole experience was amazing and I would highly recommend Luxe Bridal to anyone, of any size. I am so thankful I found them.

Being a larger woman, I was not looking forward to trying on wedding gowns. When I found out Luxe Bridal Couture catered to plus size brides, I decided to start there. Despite having a small budget, Ann found the perfect dress for me - fun and sassy, as she called it. Three of the five dresses I tried on were really lovely - the other two were just the wrong shape for me. Needless to say, the experience was virtually painless. The only thing that was slighly annoying is that they charge a $10 fee if you pay over the phone.

I had the most AMAZING experience at Luxe! I was so nervous that I would have THE most difficult time shopping for, finding and purchasing a gown I truly loved, and Luxe blew that out of the water! They were my first stop...and my last. The boutique is beautiful, environment is warm and welcoming and the wonderful staff could not have made my party and myself more comfortable and welcome! My gown turned out to be one that I NEVER would have tried/picked on my own and I am forever grateful that my consultant could judge based on her expertise options that I never would have given a chance otherwise! My gown is unique, unlike anything I've ever seen before and the PERFECT fit for both my body and my personality. It truly makes me feel completely and utterly beautiful and confident and that's all I can ask for on my special day! I cannot thank Luxe more, they made my vision and wedding dreams come true! Being a plus sized bride, it's kind of scary going and trying on dresses but I have never felt more beautiful then I did at Luxe Bridal. Every dress that I tried on was so beautiful and when I tried on "the one" I was so amazed. The staff at Luxe Bridal was so nice and kind and went out of their way to make sure you had an amazing experience! I am so pleased with my time working with Luxe and I highly recommend them to anybody who wants to look beautiful on their wedding day! Go with Luxe, you will NOT be disappointed!

You need to try this store. The experience is unbeatable. Beautifully decorated store with a wide selection of plus size gowns in all price ranges and all styles. I was absolutely impressed with this salon, a must for all future brides!

They were the best. The customer service was amazing, my guests were comfortable in the salon. My attendant Amanda had great dress selections for me and I got my dress Im so happy!

I am so happy to be a Luxe Bride! I originally visited Luxe Bridal Couture to find a bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding. I quickly found the perfect bridesmaid dress and fell in love with the store and the staff.

I was so happy with my bridesmaid experience that I made an appointment to select my wedding dress the next day. I wear a size 22 and I was able to try on several bridal gowns and accessories in my size. I ended up purchasing an Essense of Australia gown, a longline bra, hair accessories, and a veil. While I'm a Minnesota native, I've been living in northern Virginia for over ten years. I will happily continue traveling between Minnesota and Virginia to continue my Luxe Bridal experience! While I can only buy one bridal gown, there are many more bridesmaid dresses to purchase!

I found Luxe Bridal Couture in a Minnesota magazine. I decided they would be a better place to go given that me and most of my bridesmaids were curvier or full figured women. They did an amazing job finding my bridesmaids and I dresses that fit our body types perfectly and elegantly! The staff are very knowlegeable and the decor of Luxe is so elegant and beautifully put together so nicely, they only have 2 parties there at a time which is nice so you don't have to share space! I would absolutely recommend Luxe to any bride no matter what size you are!

The ladies at Luxe were fantastic. The first dress I tried on was the dress I ended up buying. They were wonderful and let me try it on two other times since I wasn't totally sure in the beginning. They worked with me and I was able to get the sample of the dress for a discounted price. I love working with them and I'm excited they now have some casual dresses as well.

They do such a wonderful job making you and your guests feel right at home. You feel comfortable, even as a plus size bride, trying on dresses because they are made for you. The only wedding dress place in the twin cities I would return to. And I just love my dress and am looking forward to wearing it very soon!!

As a plus size bride I knew that it would be tricky to find a sample gown to try on. Once I found out that Luxe was a salon full of plus sized gowns I didn't even think of going anywhere else. I found my dress on my first visit there and was thrilled with my options of what I could try on. It was a great experience and I would recommend it to any plus sized bride!

Absolutely fabulous experience -- they remember you and spend the time you desire getting you what you need. I bought my dress (the third I tried on), my veil (after a much longer appointment and more indecision), have picked up my dress, and they helped my mom look at MOB dresses just because we were in the store - she didn't have an appointment. They make you feel absolutely fabulous and give a fantastic experience for brides on the curvier side! :)

I loved the personal service I was provided. If you are a size larger than 12 please go here. I was a size 18 and it was impossible to find a good selection of wedding dresses to actually try on. I was able to fit in 100% of all the dresses I picked. Most of them were big on me which was okay because they can pin them back for you. Having the variety of sizes available at Luxe that aren't available other places was worth the drive. What I love also is the different selection of dresses. They are extremely elegant, classy and unique. The dresses are 100% better quality than David's Bridal or any other boutique around and the price is great too!

As a plus size bride it was really important for me to be able to be treated as a bride and try on dresses and not feel limited in what i was able to choose for me wedding dress. Luxe Bridal made that day so special for me and really feel like a true moment in the wedding planning process. I had a large crowd with me and everyone was able to sit and relax while i changed dresses. Also people at the shop are really responsive and there for your needs. And it was a pressure free appointment and they were there to tell me what i needed to know.

Luxe was absolutely amazing to work with! They make you feel so special when you are there and it's nice to know that your dress isn't being worn by everyone else like when you go to other big chain wedding stores! I was treated so well there and that was important because being a plus size I had some not so great experiences when trying on dresses and was not impressed, but at Luxe I couldn't have asked for a better experience!!! I recommend them 100%!!!

I had a wonderful experience at Luxe Bridal. The person working with us listened intently to what I was looking for. When I passed up the first few dresses she came out with the one. I tried it on and I just knew. It was perfect. My mom even enjoyed her experience as she was able to sit on a comfortable couch and look at the dresses I tried on. I was SO excited to hear that an actual bridal shop carried a size that I could try on! Being from Southern Minnesota, there wasn't many choice samples for a plus size bride to try on. I went to the bridal shops in my hometown and they had me put the dress up to my body while I was still in my street clothes because they didn't carry my size in a sample dress. It was humiliating when someone else was trying on which ever dress they wanted. Luxe Bridal gave me the experience I was hoping for since I was a little girl and I cried when I found my dress!

I originally was going to buy my dress at a bigger store just because I figure they would have more options but I then discovered Luxe Bridal and let’s say I was glad I did! They are friendly willing to find you the perfect dress I mean they are amazing they listen to what you are looking for and find it! My mom picked a dress out that was beautiful but was over my price range I fell in love, but I knew I couldn’t get. I had a second appointment with my girls to show them the dress and my consultant Audrey surprised me by finding an amazing dress that was even better and the price range was perfect!

I had the greatest experience here. I originally contacted teh salon looking for a specific dress from a specific designer. Although they didn't have it, Shayna was fast responding and welcomed me to their store.

I was hesitant as I am a size 14-18 in bridal and I assumed that they wouldn't have much for me at a plus size store.

I was wrong. I could not have had a better experience with my consultant Audrey. The dresses that were too large were cinched in nicely so that I could still get an idea of what it would look like. Every step of the way she really listened to what I was looking for and pulled THE dress for me. I have completely fallen in love with my dress and have forgotten the gown that I originally contacted the store about.

The shop itself is clean and trendy. The sample dresses are in good shape and well cared for.

The staff . . . AMAZING!

Shayna was so helpful to me at my appointment. Showing me a variety of styles helped me narrow down what looked right on my body and I ended up choosing a dress that I absolutely love and cant wait to put back on. She was very informative, and explained all my purchasing options once I decided on the gown. I would recommend all plus sized brides to be check this place out! I was worried about selection but there were so many to choose from and there were so many more styles, I would have had to make an all day appointment to try them all.

This was, hands down, the best dress experience, maybe even shopping experience I have ever had. I am a curvy girl, the exact market this shop is designed for. From the moment I walked in and asked that a dress be pulled from a mannequin, to THE dress (pulled from the same mannequin), to the contract everything was above board and positive. Melissa and Shayna were so fun to work with, and the calm and soothing atmosphere helped the nerves that began to fray as a result of the entire process. I will admit the selection in the store isn't huge, but it is the right selection. I love my dress, have no regrets, and will refer all of my fellow curvy brides to Luxe without hesitation.

My wedding dress shopping experience at Luxe and with my consultant was everything I could have ever hoped for. Given that I am a curvy bride, I expected a stressful situation and dresses that didn't fit, but I was so wrong! Every dress I tried on looked beautiful and fit my curves as well!

I had a prior experience at another bridal shop while searching for a wedding dress and I left almost in tears because the dresses didn't fit right and I had no service from the staff. My experience at Luxe was MUCH different and much better.

Luxe's consultants provided such personalized service and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. My consultant listened to me regarding dress style and budget and treated me like a friend instead of just another customer. Even my bridesmaids and my mom had a great time!

I found THE perfect dress and it made me feel so beautiful that I started crying, as did my mom.

If you are a plus size or curvy bride, I urge you to make an appointment at Luxe. I give my word that you won't be dissapointed.

The BEST place I visited for wedding dress shopping by far. I loved the experience I had there I felt great about myself when I was told I could try on anything in the place and that it would all fit me. I am a size 16 and I was having a very hard time trying on dresses at other stores and I wasn't willing to let that stop me. I wanted the perfect dress! At Luxe I was able to tell them that I wanted sleeves and something simple and white and they brought out a handful of choices. I never felt that they were pushing any dresses they were just listening and letting me decide on what I wanted. The dress turned out PERFECT. I have told so many people about this place and hope that many more brides are able to have the experience that I had.

Luxe Bridal is a Must for all plus size Brides in the Twin cities area! They are Fantastic and make you feel beautiful...I was so scared I wouldn't find a dress that looked nice on my figure. They have sample sizes to fit so you know what you will look great in and the staff is excellent at making you feel at home. I can honestly say since they day I got engaged I have dreaded the idea of trying on dresses as a plus size bride. I have loved planning my wedding and have had a vision of what I would like to look like for years and have been so worried that I wouldn't find the "one" or worse yet that I wouldn't be able to find one that would fit. I came to Luxe with only seven months left until my wedding so I knew that the clock was ticking. Melissa was my consultant and she was AMAZING. I honestly loved my experience working with her just as much as I love my dress! I came in and tried on about 6 dresses. I was able to try on every dress in the store even if it wasn't a perfect fit. At another shop I had to hold dresses up to my body and imagine how it would look and feel. I narrowed it down to two dresses that I loved and just the thought of having the ability to choose between two dresses made me teary eyed. I ended up chooising the dress that I always imagined myself to be in. It is fun, flirty and has a kind of ruffled skirt that I adore! I seriously look at pictures of me in my dress all day. My mom and sister cried and I knew it was the one. I know this is probably the longest review ever, but I can't say enough good things about my experience at Luxe. Luxe was so warm and welcoming from the moment I stepped in the door all the way to the hand written personal letter I got in the mail from my consultant Melissa. I loved my experience and Luxe and if you are a plus size bride I know you will too! Go and see Shayna and Melissa and I promise you will never regret the ability to feel fabulous in your dream dress!

What an amazing experience! I'm so thankful to have found Luxe Bridal. As many full-figured girls feel, I was uneasy when beginning to shop for a gown. After browsing a bit online and in magazines, I was unsure that I would find anything that I liked. When I walked into Luxe, I was greeted with a smile, offered water, champagne, and cookies. The boutique is gorgeous, spacious, and classy. Shayna sat down with me and asked several questions about my personality and style. She took time to get to know me and brought several dresses that she felt would work. She was spot on! The quality of dresses was fabulous and all in my budget. Shayna was extremely helpful and paid attention to every detail. She never put any pressure on purchasing a gown and encouraged me to take as much time needed to think things over. Wow. I don't even know where to start! If you don't make Luxe Bridal your first stop when shopping for your wedding gown you are wasting your time!!! Nikki and Shayna were absolutely AMAZING! Their service felt so personal and they really did a great job of making everyone in my party feel comfortable. I didn't feel pressured to know what I was looking for right away and Nikki was able to read me very well. I had also shopped a "big box" store for a gown and was extremely disappointed in the service and selection. The consultant at the big box location pulled dresses without even asking me what I was looking for because she was pulling dresses based off of SIZE! I fit into every single gown I tried on at Luxe and my experience could not have been better.

I wasn't overly excited to try on wedding dresses - and Luxe was my first stop. We got there and Shayna showed us to our own private sitting room (that was super cute) and talked with me a few minutes about my wedding... she went and pulled 3 dresses and i loved every single one! I was still unsure after the 3 so she went and pulled one more and that was that. Dress number 4 was "the dress". I was surprised, because i had been looking online and was having issues finding dresses i liked.... Shayna & all the other girls that i spoke with were fantastic and genuinely nice and helpful... I would definitely recommend Luxe for any bride... it will definitely be a wonderful experience!

Luxe Bridal Couture is a MUST VISIT bridal salon for all curvy brides searching for their perfect dress! As a curvy bride I was apprehensive to begin the search for my dream dress, but thankfully I found Shayna and Luxe Bridal. After visiting Luxe, no other bridal shop even came close to providing me with the same high standard for excellence that Luxe did. From its beautiful selection of gowns, excellent customer service and overall professionalism- Luxe clearly beats all the competition.

Shayna and her staff were so knowledgeable, helpful and enjoyable to work with. Shayna really listens to what you are saying and does an amazing job finding gowns that you'll love!

As a plus sized bride, wedding dress shopping was something I was NOT looking forward too. After looking up Luxe online, I made a 90 minute drive to do my shopping. My consultant was absolutely fantastic, with a short engagement, she knew exactly which dresses could be ordered rush and pulled a ton of sample gowns for me. I could actually fit into all of the dresses without any issues and was made to feel beautiful the whole time I was there. I ended up buying a gorgeous sample gown and took it home that day!

I would recommend Luxe to any larger bride, not just because of the AWESOME dress selection, but the customer service was absolutely fantastic.

My bridal consultant, Audrey, was amazing. This was the 4th bridal store I'd gone to and going to Luxe was like night and day difference over the other stores. The environment was inviting and comfortable for my guests. She spent time truly listening to my requests and getting to know me. Even though my budget was on the lower end she pulled several dresses in my price range and I loved them all...it was hard to decide. Other stores have plus sizes but nothing seemed to be cut to flatter a fuller figure...total opposite at Luxe. My consultant was knowledge and even offered suggestions on which dresses would look best with my venue and time of year. I was also excited to see the store has ongoing events and I'm looking forward to attending.

As a plus size bride, at least TRYING dresses on at Luxe Bridal Couture is a must. See if you don't fall in love with a dress and end up going for it.
There were many things I loved about Luxe Bridal, the first being sample dresses IN YOUR SIZE. There were other bridal shops that had really LOVELY dresses, and I got pretty close to getting them, but trying a dress on in your size at Luxe as opposed to other bridal shops that stuff you into their largest sample size, and you can't zip it up and the straps are cutting into your arms while they tell you, "If you ordered it in your size it would fit better..." well, sorry, that's not the same as actually seeing and feeling how it fits.
They treat you very well and don't look down on you because of your size -- it was a genuine concern for me, and since Luxe is focused on plus size brides, you look around and see other people your size trying on dresses and looking beautiful too, it feels good.

There are other stores that have plus size sample sizes but their selection for them is rather limited. So once you try on the 3 or 4 dresses in your price range (especially if you're on a more modest budget) that's all there is. At Luxe, they bring you dress after dress after dress and it's just a really fun experience to have so many dresses that fit you and that you feel like you look good in.

As I said, I highly recommend at least trying on dresses at Luxe if you are a plus size bride. You'll feel way more special and beautiful here than any other place.

One word: AMAZING! My mom, sister, and I went to Luxe to find me a dress. It was the first (and only) place I had gone to, to try on dresses. I was SO nervous to try on dresses because I'm not a tiny girl. I worked with Audrey as my consultant, and she was great. She had me try on all different styles of dresses to make sure I found what I liked. She was so patient with my party and I as we debated between dresses and had to keep changing. She makes eveyrhing so calming. I recommend this to EVERYONE that is nervous about going shopping.

TIP: Go during the week and during the day. Make a fun afternoon of it. We were the ONLY one's in the store at 1 PM on Wednesday, and we didn't have to rush at all, and were able to take our time with all the dresses.

Tip 2: Get the "I Do" package. It's worth the money (veil, bra, and earrings). My veil along was the cost of the package.

Luxe was absolutely amazing. Melissa blew me away with her great attitude and willingness to accommodate everything I threw her way. I am so excited to wear my dress on my wedding day!!!

I think I was one of the lucky ones as this was my first and only stop when looking for a dress. I went online and filled out a request to set-up an appointment and got a response within hours.

When we arrive, we we warmly welcomed and got our own area and my consultant was super nice and helped ever step of the way. I didn't have any clue what kind of dress I wanted but she helped me figure out what elements I liked and what I didn't like and was able to find the perfect dress for me!!

I highly recommend Luxe Bridal Couture for their service and selection!

Consultants were great with accomodating my large group and adjusting the ordering time of my dress. The only negative was that I couldn't buy the sample gown.

My bridal party and I couldn't have been to made to feel more special from the moment we walked thru the door. It was one-on-one attention and not two dozen brides running around waiting in line for a mirror.

I was coming into MN from out of state so it would have been nice to know that the seamstress for the shop was not someone working in the shop but independent. The seamstress was WONDERFUL and was very flexible in accomodating me to ensure the second fitting was my last but if I had known ahead of time that it was not a Luxe Bridal Couture employee, I might have taken the dress with me and done my fittings closer to home.

We had a minor glitch where we had paid to order extra material 5 months before the first dress fitting and when the seamstress went to pick up the dress, it was not there. The situation was rectified in time for my first fitting appointment but definitely caused a bit of stress not knowing if the material would be there in time.

All-in-all a GREAT experience! Thanks ladies!

I bought my dress from Luxe Bridal back in September of 2011 and I feel bad for just now writing a review. Shayna was great and helped me find the most beautiful dress. The environment there is very judgement free and it was the only place where I really felt beautiful. They have a gorgeous selection and it's great that you're not trying to squeeze into a sample size. Although I have lost 80 pounds since buying my dress and will no longer be wearing it, I had a great experience there and would definitely recommend Luxe and Shayna to any plus size brides looking to feel like a beautiful bride while finding their dream dress!

I was very pleased with Luxe. They have a large selection of plus size gowns. They had plenty of gowns in several styles for me to try on. I did go to one other salon after Luxe because I had made an appointment with them but was highly disappointed when I got there. The dresses they had were not my size and the 2 dresses I had called ahead to see and was promised they had in stock they did not have. So I went back to Luxe a bought the gown I had fallen in love with there. Our wedding is in September but so far each time I have tried on my gown I've cried. It just so perfect. I highly recommend Luxe.

Honestly, when I walked into this shop, I just planned on trying stuff on and not buying. I was really just looking for a shop where I actually fit into the sample sizes. But once I talked with my consultants and starting trying things on and pulling accessories, I couldn't resist. I found a gorgeous dress, and possibly more importantly, a functional bra for the big day. Love these ladies and the atmosphere. My only complaint is that though I was outright about not wanting a strapless dress, they insisted I try them on and pulled at least 3 for me to try on, even though I went with one with straps in the end, as I knew I would. I understand that most are strapless and I was open but there were moments when I felt like I wasn't being heard. Overall, I'd do it again though. I'm incredibly pleased with the product and the service, and most importantly, my look for my big day.

When it came time to pick it up, they even opened on a day they weren't supposed to be open just so I could pick it up. I highly recommend them!

My dress was beautiful! I received so many compliments on it. I found the same dress a little cheaper at another plus size store, but I was informed that the other store may be underpricing the rules set forth by the designer. Since Luxe wasn't allowed to match the price, they threw my veil in free, which saved me a lot of money in the long run! I do have a couple minor concerns. When I went in for my appointment, I was early and hoping to get in a little early since I had a long drive back home. However they were swamped and I ended up not getting in until at least 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. Not really their fault, but I felt a tiny bit ignored. We browsed the racks while we waited, and she did a good job pulling most of what we wanted to see, however I felt like she didn't always understand what I wanted in my dress, because she kept pulling other dresses that had aspects I didn't like even after telling her I didn't like them. Now, Luxe Bridal is not a big chain store, which is good, but has a slight problem. Their hours can be a little inconvenient at times. They're closed Mondays and Tuesdays, and sometimes Sundays. Because of this, they can be a little hard to get a hold of. The other dress stores in my town are open long hours, every day. My dress came in looking beautiful, but it was a late (which was no fault of Luxe's). We were supposed to get my dress by either June or July (she said probably June, but wrote the end of July to be safe). Mid-August, my dress still hadn't came in, so my mom called them and learned that there was a problem with the dress-maker, and that Luxe would sort it out immediately. I wish I could have gotten a phone call from them earlier, though, to save me a mini-heart attack.

All in all, I'd definitely go with a dress from them again. They try their hardest to get everything done well.

As a plus size bride, I was so thrilled so find Luxe! To walk into a bridal shop and be able to try on any dress is every woman's dream. At Luxe, it came true for me! From my very first appointment, I was impressed by how closely the staff listened to my style and cost preferences and provided recommendations. It didn't take long for us to find the dress of my dreams! I sincerely appreciated that the Luxe staff respected my wishes and responded to my feedback! If you're planning to shop with Luxe, I would recommend taking note of their hours as they don't seem to be very consistent and sometimes were challenging to work my schedule around. Also, their appointment slots do fill up quickly (great service is in demand!) so I'd recommend planning ahead if possible.

The day I went dress shipping was AMAZING! The gal that helped me was absolutely the best.
Unfortunately, after she left, the service I received was not quite as stellar. When you order your dress, it takes a few months to come in (fine). Then when it arrives, you only have five days to pick it up (regardless of whether or not you're in town). If you don't, you'll be charged a "storage fee."

Great experience! My consultant was great, very easy going, not pushy at all! Wasn't expecting to walk out from the first store I went to for dresses with a dress, but I found the perfect one! No pressure and made me feel very comfortable. I would recommend Luxe Bridal to anyone!

I really had a great overall experience at Luxe. It was so wonderful being able to try on dresses that actually fit me! Nikki did a fantastic job of listening to what I was looking for and i was able to find the perfect dress and veil. There were a couple things that I feel could be improved on. In terms of getting the dress altered, they only do fittings on Thursday nights. I actually live in Duluth, MN and it was not possible for me to travel down to the cities on a weeknight to go to fittings. Luckily, I was able to find an amazing seamstress in Duluth that altered the dress to fit me perfectly. The only other thing I had an issue with is the Bridal Styling Event. I was under the impression that there would be tons of options for jewelry and lingerie so I made a special trip to the cities for this event. I did find some awesome jewelry. The selection was pretty limited and there were only a couple different styles for lingerie. That being said, I would definitely recommend Luxe to find your dream dress. The salon is beautiful and intimate and when looking for a dress, they really make you feel special. :)

I was so surprised that after trying on only 4 dresses i found the perfect dress! i was nervous during my wedding dress shopping, being a plus size girl. But i felt completely comfortable knowing that every dress i could try on would fit. My cousin also got her wedding dress here and had a great experience as well.

I wasn't wowed by Luxe. It was nice that they carried larger sizes to try on but that was lacking when it came time for my bridesmaids to try on dresses. They were attentive to my appointment but barely present for my bridesmaids. I was the one lacing them into dresses. Also, even though we had our measurements taken there and went with the sizes suggested every single dress was at least 1-2 sizes too big which meant bigger alteration bills for us.I wouldn't say that Luxe was terrible, I just expected better service for the price.

Great customer service until you purchase your dress.
My consultant, Audrey was amazing and super helpful at my very first appointment. I ended up purchasing my dress on the same day and offered to pay for more than half of my dress as well. When my dress arrived, Audrey unzipped my dress from the bag and showed me my dress. She did not extend an offer for me to try on the dress. This was very disappointing because I paid extra for the dress size and hem. I had to ask her if I can try it on, she shrugged and said, “sure, we can try it on really quick”. I would not have taken offense to her statement if there were other appointments going on, however, there was literally no customers in the shop. I became very annoyed because Audrey somehow misplaced her customer service and was unwilling to help me. I mean, what bride would not want to try on their wedding dress when they’ve waited for over five months? Plus, it’s not like the dress was a floor sample, I ordered the dress brand new.
The back of my dress was ordered with the lace up back and when I asked if she can show my friend how to do it, her reply was, “oh, it’s super easy”. And that was all she said. I had to practically raise my voice from the fitting room to have my friend come in to see how it was done. Sure, I thought, it’s easy for you because you do this on the daily for your job, but sorry, we don’t lace dresses up every day like you. However, I was respectful and held my tongue and did not say this to her.
Overall, I love my dress but my dress was also sold at two different bridal shops in the cities. I choose this shop because of the reviews.
No, I would not recommend this place to you because as a bride myself, they were unwilling to help me once I paid for my dress. Sadly, they immediately lost their customer service after I purchased my dress.
