Reiner & Virginia's Vineyard Wedding

We cannot recommend Cassia highly enough! From the very beginning, she made us feel completely comfortable and natural on our wedding day. Her focus on candid photos and natural reactions captured our personalities and relationship without us ever feeling overly posed. Cassia was incredibly efficient throughout the day, capturing small, meaningful details we didn’t even realize were happening. On top of her talent, she is so warm, funny, and personable! We were also lucky enough to have her husband, Tommy, as our second shooter – they worked seamlessly together and brought such a positive energy. We’ve had multiple wedding guests comment that our wedding photos are the best they’ve seen. A huge thank you to Cassia and Tommy for capturing our big day!

Beautiful soft light captured just the way we wanted it!

Cassia met with us early on via Zoom to hear our vision for our daughters wedding and judging by the preview pictures we have seen so far she nailed it. Beautiful images, unobtrusive, easy to work with. Looking forward to seeing the whole collection

Loved the photos and how she made me feel comfotable

I loved working with Cassia! She is so sweet and makes you feel comfortable in front of a camera. She is also great at reading light and creating dynamic photos. I love all my wedding photos

World-Class Photography

Cassia and her husband were absolutely amazing! They captured every beautiful moment to be had at our wedding. Cassia was on time and communicated very effectively from when we first contacted her to when she delivered our photo gallery. Her and her husband's photos were of exceptional quality, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. They were also incredibly nice, and helped make our day extra special. Amazing Photos!

This review is long overdue. Cassia is an amazing photographer. She was easy to work with and communicated well. I appreciated that the documentation was done all online. Since our wedding was going to be very small, she accommodated for that. On the day of, she got caught the lighting just right since most of our photos were outdoors. She even did some minor parkour to get photos of us ziplining! I appreciate her work and dedication to my wedding. We are very happy with the results.

Wedding Photographer

Where to start with how great Cassia was… she was our wedding and engagement photographer, and we really couldn’t have been happier.

Cassia found us through Thumbtack, and we were immediately drawn to her work. She has such a great style and eye for shots! After talking with her over the phone, we felt very comfortable with her and knew she was the photographer for us.

Neither of us is typically big on taking photos of ourselves, so we initially weren’t planning on an engagement session. After Cassia mentioned that it would be a good opportunity to meet each other and get a feel for our vibe and get more comfortable around each other, we agreed and did a laid back shoot near our house. What a great recommendation! We felt so relaxed around her and could really be ourselves. That combined with her talent made for some pictures that we really love, and so does our family. It also made us much more comfortable going into the wedding, as we knew that was one thing we wouldn’t have to worry about.

Cassia was always so responsive any time we had a question or a change to the schedule of the day, and she was so accommodating and helpful with everything. On the day of the wedding, she and her assistant were great. They split up between the girls and guys while we were getting ready, then both took shots throughout the first look, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. One thing that we loved was that she didn’t have an hourly limit, so we weren’t constantly checking the time. Again they were both great at making us feel comfortable, while also giving good direction to get some great pictures. Another thing we loved was that they were able to take some great pictures of the ceremony without inserting themselves into it.

We received the full photo gallery online not long after the wedding, and all of the photos came out more beautifully than we could have hoped. We also love having full rights to both small file size and full high definition photos.

Cassia is an amazingly talented photographer and we so appreciated her unique and creative approach. We are so grateful to her for capturing all the truly beautiful moments during the day that we would not have seen otherwise. We could not recommend her highly enough. Thank you again for everything Cassia!

Cassia and her team did both our engagement photos and wedding photos for our wedding on 3-24-18. From start to finish, it was a wonderful experience. Cassia's professionalism, caring, and dedication to detail and emotion really stood out in our photos. We are in love with our entire portfolio, but the people behind the camera lens are just as amazing. Suzy and David, the members of her team who shot our wedding, were an absolute pleasure to work with. Many of the women in my bridal party (who are married and/or have been in many weddings) commented on how great the photographers were, and my husband and I couldn't agree more. We are beyond pleased with our experience, and highly recommend Cassia and her team. Thank you for making our big day extra special!

My husband and I loved having Cassia and Tommy as our wedding photographers! We really felt cared for as we prepared for the big day and during the day. They both had a calming presence day of and helped us to relax while being photographed. The pictures also turned out amazing! We thought they did a wonderful job capturing our wedding and would definitely hire them again.

Incredible. Fabulous. Amazing. All the awesome words - that's Cassia! It describes her work as a photographer, her professional way of taking care of business, and it describes her as a person. Cassia and Tommy were a joy to work with and I seriously feel blessed to have found them and honored that they were the photographers at our wedding. I truly could not have been happier with Tommy and Cassia! They were so accommodating with our last-minute requests and many changes, and they took the most beautiful photos. Their quality of work is so incredible. They are not only professional but personable, and they make an effort to get to know the people they are working with. I can't imagine having anyone else shoot our wedding.

Cassia was wonderful. She made both me and my husband feel comfortable in front of the camera and was able to capture every detail and moment of our wedding. The photos turned out gorgeous, and everyone is very pleased! Jon and I are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Cassia for our September 2017 wedding. We first hired Cassia to only shoot our engagement photos since we were getting married cross-country. However, during and after the engagement shoot, Jon and I connected with Cassia and her husband, Tommy, on a completely different level. We quickly realized that we wouldn’t be able to find someone with the amazing talent and energy that Cassia possessed. So, we decided to hire her for our big day, in which she traveled 2,500 miles just to shoot our wedding!!
Cassia’s responsiveness, attention to detail, passion, and most of all, her talent is what truly makes Lux Aeterna Photography incredible! Throughout the whole day, Cassia guided and directed the wedding party to capture the best moments. Cassia puts her whole heart into everything she does, which truly shows in her work and photos. Business side: she was amazing and very professional. Her level of communication kept us not only informed, but also empowered us to remain relaxed through the entire process. Personal Side: we now have a great friend who is a Photographer. This alone made it easy for us to be comfortable during our pictures and while taking instructions on how we needed to pose or how we needed to 'not pose'. (LOL) We were very lucky to have options by using this site. But overall we got a friend out of it.

Cassia is so very good at what she does! She made everyone feel at ease, captured all our special moments and gave VERY good directions. A shy groom? Not a problem at al! In fact, the portait photos she took of the groom are the best photos I have ever seen of him. What made it even more personal and special was that she even sent me some sneak peek highlights that very night of the wedding so those were the VERY FIRST photos my groom and I saw of the wedding. In short, if you’re looking for someone to take pictures of your event, Cassia can do that. However, if you are looking for someone to completely encapsulate the essence of the day, the emotions of your family and friends, and that look of absolute adoration between you and your future spouse; then Cassia is definitely the photographer for you.
And that is just speaking of her photography. No, not just photography, but the art she captures from your magical day.
Since before I had even met her, she was and is the easiest person to work with. From the first email to the most recent, every interaction has made me feel like she is excited to talk to me and work with us. She answered every email and text in a timely manner. She made the process so easy while trying to figure out our wants and needs, and what my family wanted on top of that. My family only has the most wonderful things to say about Cassia.
Cassia was incredibly organized all the way up to and including the wedding, a fact which is amazing in its own. When you’re about two weeks away, and everything is going haywire, her confident and easy going attitude and prepared schedule is such a relief.
On the day of the event, Cassia is a ninja with a camera. You’ll ask yourself, when did she even take this? I think one of my favorite moments of the night was watching her gracefully set down her ice cream then come running across the venue and jumping over shrubs just to capture a one-time moment.
I will never regret meeting Cassia. And we honestly hope one day to have another opportunity to work with her.

It's hard for me to put in to words how much of an impact Cassia made on my wedding! I didn't realize in the beginning, but it started with a sweet gift she sent us when we made the quick decision to book her as the photographer. I could not have asked for anything more from Cassia! She was absolutely the best! The moment she walked into the room she felt like an old friend who was just as excited or even more than everyone else around me. With grace, patience and just wanting to do everything possible to make the day that much more perfect. Cassia touched my heart so much, that the next day when she posted a picture from the next wedding she did, I got jealous that she wasn't just at mine! It's so amazing to think that Cassia goes around loving what she does and capturing the joy of so many different people, just like she did on my wedding day. Then I got my pictures, waayy faster than I could have expected! It's very difficult to look at them with out tearing up. She was able to capture every incredible moment! Cassia of Lux Aeterna is so lovely and wonderful to work with. I highly recommend her services!

Customer service: Cassia did everything I asked WITH a smile. I went bridezilla and bossed her around several times during our reception "hurry take a picture of THAT!" And she just smiled and got the shot. She offered to meet w us in person before the day of and we couldn't find time so she offered video chat to get to know us and talk details!

Quality: her portfolio speaks for itself! She has great talent at taking soft and romantic photos.

Overall Value: compared to other photographers of her caliber she was the most reasonable we could find for our budget. Contract was straightforward with no "set hourly package." We got footage of the ENTIRE event. She was there from the beginning until the last guests were trickling out.

Above and Beyond: she ended up driving me and my husband around from place to place day of our wedding bc last minute our family didn't have room in their car, and we would have been stranded or have to take uber LOL.
She even sent us a very sweet and special wedding card a few weeks before our wedding.

Of course everyone wants beautiful pictures of their wedding, but our day was EVEN MORE special because she felt like part of the family. Cassia is a wonderful photographer but her personality, flexibility, and eagerness to keep us happy is what makes her standout among the sea of professionals. My husband and I STRONGLY recommend her.

My husband and I were married almost two months ago, and we still can't help but share with each other again and again that Cassia her team were the best wedding-related decision that we made! Her photos are absolutely stunning. Not only are they artistically crafted, but they do an impressive job of capturing the emotions and essence of the moment. This was true for both our engagement shoot and the wedding itself. We decided against having a videographer, and looking at Cassia's photos confirmed the fact that we absolutely didn't need one; the photos are filled with life and feeling.

Not only is her work gorgeous, but Cassia is a beautiful person that added so much to the experience of our wedding. Having her there as part of the day felt as if we had another close friend around. She went above and beyond to make us and our families feel comfortable, and we could not have asked for more.

Cassia exceeded my expectations. While searching for a photographer, I was overwhelmed by all the possible vendors. Some were disappointing due to their lack of flexibility, while others took so long to respond. Cassia stood above the rest. She reached out to me right away even when I left the country to visit my grandparents. When I returned, I received a voicemail from her. She sounded so sincere and open that I gave her a call back. She worked with our budget and made the process of filling in paperwork pretty painless. I also felt comfortable speaking with her. I got the sense that she could turn my vision for the wedding into a reality.

Although I live in SF, she worked with our schedules and made sure we have all the information we needed and vice versa. She is a natural at directing shots and is very open to suggestions. It is easy to see she is passionate about photography and working with people. Her second shooter, Elizabeth Froh is great as well. She captured amazing photos alongside Cassia during our engagement shoot. Cassia delivered great service for our Engagement Session and on our Wedding Day. We look forward to seeing our wedding photos! I know it will be spectacular! If you need a photographer, look no further. Lux Aeterna Photography by Cassia Karin will impress you!

Cassia is AMAZING! So far we've had our engagement session and because of how those photos turned out I can't wait to see how she captures our big day! I know that the pictures are going to turn out better than we could ever dream because that's what our engagement photos are! As an 81 year old grandmother of a bride who recently had her engagement and wedding photos taken by Cassia Karin, I can say without question that this photographer is the finest, friendliest, most innovative and artistic individual who epitomizes professionalism with heart and warmth for the people she memorializes with her work. Her engagement pictures of my granddaughter, Marcy, and her fiance, Dustin, were taken in lovely outdoor settings and were the most natural, "unposed", and beautiful photographs that one could possibly imagine. Subsequent to that were the wedding photos which, from beginning in the "getting ready for the ceremony" to the wedding itself, posed photos after the wedding and the casual photos at the reception were, quite simply, outstanding. Cassia was unobtrusive, calming and so pleasant as she moved around the room capturing the day in its entirety. I have now just seen the photo gallery she presented to the couple and it so clearly reflects the joy and love shared by the couple and of all those who attended the events, even to my catching the bridal bouquet, which was worth a laugh. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I have seen many wedding albums and these were absolutely the best of all. You will appreciate her sensitivity, her personal involvement in your day, and her desire to capture your special day in a most meaningful way.

I was the minister for this service. The bride a dear friend of mine. Cassia was incredibly professional, she captured the special moments, and she was unobtrusive. I've seen photographers become photo-zillas. Not Cassia. She was a joy to work with. I give her my highest recommendation.

My husband and I got married in Yosemite and I couldn't imagine anyone else taking our wedding pictures. We met with Cassia for a consultation and immediately knew we wanted her to be our photographer. We were impressed with her experience in Yosemite, outdoor shooting, her knack for capturing moments and her personality. We took the engagement photos which turned out amazing and better that either of us expected. She coached us and helped us to feel extremely comfortable in front of her camera despite being camera shy people. This was a nice addition and was included in our package. We got a better idea of the type of pictures we liked and it helped the awkwardness wear off. We also used those in a guestbook.

When it came to our wedding Cassia and her husband Tommy went above and beyond the call of duty. Cassia did an excellent job of calming our nerves and making us laugh. The day flew by and was the best day of my life. I feel like this was really reflected in the pictures. We wanted the photographs to capture the memories and feelings of the day. We got the posed shots (which I feel like don't look posed and are gorgeous!) and tons of memories and moments captured. Looking through our pictures really allows me to relive the day. I don't feel like I'm missing anything.

We also asked our family and friends not to take pictures during the ceremony-- they were somewhat anxious about not having their own pictures but after seeing Cassia's pictures they were so happy and I was happy no cameras were in her shots :)

I can not recommend Cassia highly enough. She is passionate, professional, and I can't believe how blessed I am to have her as my wedding photographer! I wish we weren't moving away so she could take our baby pictures.

I must start by saying that I've never done a review, mainly because I never really actually read reviews myself. Well not atleast until 3 months ago when we decided to get married after 9 years. I started looking at reviews for every single thing I looked into. It was then that I notice how important reviews are. So here is my review for Lux Aeterna Photography! I have to say that I was a bit skeptical at first because I didn't know how reliable the website I found this photographer on was. So I emailed her and she immediately contacted me. The day Cassia phoned me, I was at my daughters gymnastic practice so I was having a hard time understanding her. So I figured the same was on her end. The conversation was short and I told her I'd contact her after class. She asked for my email and said she would sent over her rates. At the very end of her email she wrote to me "keep your eyes on that tumbling girl of yours" and I was astonished at how much she had paid attention to my details that had nothing to do with my wedding. Little did I know that this was just the beginning of an amazing experience with this sweet photographer. She contacted me more than once after that phone call. I was still looking at other photographers but she not once forgot about me. Eventually 2 weeks before my wedding day she called me once again(on her anniversary vacation may I add) and at that moment I said this is the one! I didn't get to meet her until my actual wedding day being that it was in only 2 short weeks I had tons to do so I didn't meet her until the day! She was great that day. She arrived at my house to get pictures of me getting ready and let me say I thought it was only me but she captured beautiful pictures of my two daughters putting their dresses on. I loved that she included everyone that was at my house that morning. When I got a glimpse of some of the pictures she captured that night, I was in tears she captured the most beautiful images. Cassia is by far the best!!!!

Book her!! I booked Cassia for my wedding and so happy that I did. She was such a pleasure to work with. Cassia was very professional but also made you feel comfortable. Everyone in the wedding party only had good things to say about her and everyone loved their pictures. My husband and I are beyond pleased with our photos. She does great portraits as well as the ones where she catches you with out you even realizing it. The pictures during the reception are so fun. She captured all the great moments all while making sure she is not distracting you or even bothering you. She is not the the annoying photographer that just follows you around and makes their presence annoying. Cassia is a amazing photographer and an absolute pleasure to work with. Trust me, you will not be dissapointed! Higly recommended!

As I told Cassia, my face hurt from smiling as much and as hard as I did looking at the wonderful way she capture our wedding day! Cassia is not only an exceptional photographer, but a wonderful person. Her presence at our wedding was genuine, creative and fun. She is incredibly professional in all aspects of her job from timeliness (day of and delivery of final product), consultation of services and interactions with anyone and everyone at the wedding. As for the photography itself, they pictures turned out phenomenally. Her creative and artistic eye capture every photo I wanted, and every photo I didn't know I wanted :) The lighting, framing and quality all went above and beyond my expectations. My only regret is that I didn't find her and her work sooner!

Cassia was very professional. She was efficient and had great ideas for my photos. She listened to me about what I wanted and surpassed every expectation I had. She was able to give me and my husband the photos of our family and friends that we wanted. I had so many things on my mind the morning of my wedding and she was kind and helpful and also unobtrusive and thorough when she was taking photos. I received at least five comments from family and friends about how nice and professional she was. Everyone loved the photos!

When I got engaged, I was on the hunt for the perfect photographer. I wanted to find a photographer that would capture the details of our day and I wanted to have photos that we could cherish for a lifetime. After searching and seeing lots of photos that were“ok”, I came across Lux Aeterna. When I stumbled upon her website and blog, I just knew Cassia was the photographer I HAD to have! Her photographs capture details AND emotions, exactly what I was looking for. Then much to my surprise, I found out that her prices were reasonable too! We got married on 3/21/15. Cassia was wonderful to work with from beginning to end. She was willing to travel to our destination without charging us an extra travel fee. She traveled on two separate occasions (3-4 hours each way) with no extra fee, once for our engagement photos and second to our wedding. Taking the time to do our engagement photos (which I might add were at no extra charge), gave us the opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera and to figure out what the best kinds of shots would be for our wedding day.
I got to know Cassia going through the process and I feel like she takes a personal interest in us as a couple and family. Cassia as a person is genuine and easy going. Cassia as a photographer is a stealth ninja! She takes charge when she needs to and she can be in five different locations at once to get the perfect angles and shots for her photographs. During our wedding I had no idea where she was, but after seeing our pictures, I can’t believe how many locations she seemed to be in, all at once.
Having her there on our wedding day was such a pleasure.
We are so happy with all of our wedding and engagement photos, and friends and family raved about them too. Cassia was also willing to make her photo packages work so we could get exactly what we wanted as far as picture orders. I would highly recommend Cassia to friends and family!
Now we have wedding photos that we can cherish for a lifetime!
