Kat and Lush Cakery were a dream vendor to work with! She worked seamlessly with our florist and wedding designer + planners to create a piece of art that was truly the pièce de résistance of our reception space. Kat, with just a few inspiration photos on our end, immediately assured us she could take our vision to life, handling all the design and logistics proactively without us having to coordinate at all.
Further, as a bride with Celiac Disease, Kat could not have been more accommodating to ensure I had safe gluten-free options at the cake tasting. Additionally, although we decided to have our cake not be gluten free, Kat was still able make a smaller gluten-free version that we could use for our cake cutting.
We cannot recommend working with Kat more! Her cakes are truly works of art and you will be in awe! You will be so pleased with your choice! -

Delicious!
We hired Lush Cakery for a 2020 wedding, so in the end, we got a small cake for our backyard ceremony and then 2 large cakes for our 2021 reception. I have to say the cake was the part I was most looking forward to at our 2021 reception. These cakes not only look beautiful but they taste heavenly. Thanks, Kat! -

Kat has been amazing to work with from day 1, and her cakes are beautiful and SO DELICIOUS! She was so easy to communicate with, facilitated an easy and enjoyable cake tasting, and makes the absolute best cake I've ever had! My husband and I are not even big cake lovers, but Kat's cakes will impress anyone and everyone! If you hire Kat, make sure to tell your caterer to save you a few pieces...we did not have a single piece left over! All of our guests have been raving about the cake and spilling the beans that they had two or three slices ;-). Make your life simple, and hire Kat! You will not be disappointed! -

I had the best experience with Lush! We tasted her cakes and fell in love. It was a very easy experience and she was really accommodating. My groom was sick so couldnt come to the tasting, but they made me a to-go plate so that he could try the different flavors at home when he was feeling better! She also personalized our cake with our cat! Such a personalized detail we thought turned out so well!!! -

The wedding cake of our dreams!
True life - we have dreamed of our wedding cake since our wedding day! Didn’t hurt that our cake has been tormenting us in our freezer for a year. All that said, our quick taste at our wedding was one of our biggest regrets of our wedding day....we only wished we had stopped to eat the whole slice!! Luckily the top tier that we froze for our 1-year still met all of our expectations and so much more!
Kat felt like the right fit from the start. We loved our 1:1 tasting and she was a true joy to work with. I’m so glad Lush Cakery is just down the road anytime we need our dreams to come true! -

Set a New Standard for Wedding Cakes!
Our wedding planner suggested that Kat at Lush Cakery was probably going to be best wedding cake we have ever eaten. Wow, was she right! My daughter (bride) and her fiancé came to town from Arizona for a whirlwind weekend of wedding planning appointments. Our appointment with Kat was the best of the weekend, for sure. Her shop is warm and inviting and her cake flavors, fillings, and frosting are absolutely out of this world. After tasting each flavor we did not know how we were going to pick just two. The bride and groom finally settled on the Lovely Lemon and the Triple Chocolate Hazelnut. I personally also loved the Cinnamon. The buttercream that Kat makes is phenomenal. I have personally never had a buttercream that fresh and delicious on a large wedding cake. The planner, bride, and I also had a special request for Kat. We brought her a picture of the lace that was on the bride’s dress and asked her to incorporate that into the bottom layer of the cake. She readily agreed. Flash forward to the wedding day – the cake looked absolutely gorgeous. And, the taste was just as marvelous as it was during our tasting. Many guests also complimented the cake and said this cake had set a new wedding cake standard in their books. ( I was actually sad because the catering servers took away my cake after I had only had a bite or two. So, I will will definitely be finding a celebratory reason to order another amazing cake from Kat before long so that I can eat a whole piece……..or three ) Kat, thank you for making one of your delicious masterpieces for this special day. You will always be a part of our happy wedding memories. -

Kat is absolutely incredible. She is one of the vendors that I met during my sisters wedding planning process and I knew when it was my turn that I was going to call her! Her cakes are so delicious and she is extremely professional! There wasn't a PIECE of cake left at my wedding! HIRE HER! -

Working with Kat was fun and easy! (Not to mention, her shop is dreamy!) My mom and her even came up with a surprise - she recreated my pup, Jax, to be poking out from "underneath the cake" - It was incredible. The taste was fantastic and I can't wait to have more on my 1 year anniversary! Thank you, Kat!! We love you! -

Our beautiful wedding cake came from Lush Cakery and Kat made it everything we could have wanted! We sat down and told her everything we wanted in our wedding cake and she made our dreams come true! We ended up going with lemon and black tie (chocolate) and they were both so delicious! We would recommend Kat to everyone! Thank you for making our special day even more so! -

Lush Cakery did an AMAZING job on our wedding cake! We went with the salted caramel and it was so yummy!!! Hands down the best cake that I have ever had and many of our guest told me the same thing. I highly recommend Kat at Lush Cakery!! -

Do I really have to wait a year for this delicious cake again??
So, I crave our wedding cake on a daily basis and really wish I didn't have to wait til our 1 year anniversary to dig in to the anniversary cake she so kindly boxed up for us beforehand (and we traveled with in our Uhaul from ATL to SLC, Utah because it's THAT good)! :) Kat is so incredibly talented!! We loved every flavor we got to try, and ended up selecting her (non-traditional) chocolate peanut butter flavor as our entire cake because it was just too delicious and we have received so many compliments! We were connected to Kat through the Wheeler House and we are so thankful!! Thank you, Kat!!! P.S. - follow her insta for all of her amazing cake inspo -

Delicious and Beautiful Wedding Cake
Kat made my wedding cake and it was both beautiful and delicious. At our first tasting, she allowed us to try a variety of flavors and we ended up selecting white chocolate raspberry amaretto and peanut butter chocolate. When we discussed the design I wanted for the cake, she knew exactly what I was talking about and had several examples of similar cakes she had done. Our wedding cake turned out to be beautiful, with moist layers and frosting that tasted amazing. We had many guests talk about how delicious our cake was and I couldn't agree more. I am so thrilled that I was able to work with Kat because her work is amazing and she was so easy to work with. I highly recommend! -

Can not say enough about Kat. Along with making our wedding cake, she has become our go to for birthday cakes, events and anything else to which we can bring her delicious confections. She listened, offered wonderful ideas, worked with me with some of my crazy ideas- and drove our cake on New Years Eve from Georgia to North Carolina. She is wonderful, her cakes are wonderful, and we were so glad to have her on our team for many special days! -

So delicious!
Our cake made by Lush Cakery was absolutely delicious! We have had the pleasure of tasting their cakes at parties and other weddings and knew we wanted a Lush Cakery cake . The cinnamon cake with the vanilla butter cream is our favorite by far. We met with Kat at her adorable shop in Marietta Square for a tasting and to discuss the details. The whole process was super easy and our cake was beautiful. The design matched the feel of our wedding and the guests raved about how delicious it was. She also offers an anniversary cake so that you don't have to save the top for a whole year. Would recommend Lush Cakery to any bride! -

As an avid cake eater, my wedding cake was super important to me because I wanted it to be the most delicious cake ever. I can honestly say that it was! We didn't enjoy others cakes that we had tried at previous weddings we had been to so we reached out to Kat with Lush because she was recommended to us by our month of planner. Kat was very responsive and invited us for a free cake tasting at her ADORABLE shop in Marietta Square. We tried four amazing flavors that were her most popular and chose two. It was a tough choice because they were all so delicious. We ended up with salted caramel and hazelnut chocolate. They were by far the most moist, great-textured cakes we have ever had. The icing was amazing as well, not too sweet and a great texture. Our cake not only tasted amazing but it looked perfect as well and very reasonably priced. We planned to save the top of our cake for our one year anniversary but it was seriously too good that we ate it after our wedding. We will just have to order another cake from her for our anniversary! -

My husband and I had an atypical request for our cake, we wanted one of the layers to be funfetti, but we still wanted it to look like a normal naked cake on the outside. Kat was wonderful about trying this out and the cake was delicious and beautiful! She is very easy to talk to and get ahold of. We loved it! -

Kat made us a beautiful funfetti cake with two different flavors (salted caramel and a white chocolate amaretto raspberry) of fabulous frosting. It was, hands down, the most delicious wedding cake I've ever eaten. I have never seen a wedding cake get eaten so quickly! Everyone raved about how yummy the cake was. My only regret is that I didn't have more leftovers, as the entire cake was consumed minus two tiny slivers they saved for us. Guess we'll have to see if Kat can make us a tiny cake for our anniversary :)
I would highly recommend Lush Cakery to anyone wanting a delicious cake for a special occasion! -

Amazing!
Lush was a preferred vendor via our venue and we couldn't be more pleased! We met Kat at our tasting and I knew we made the right decision, she is so sweet and truly cares about making your vision come to life! Not to mention the fact that her shop is ADORABLE! Our wedding day came and the cake was a work of art! It was exactly what we asked for and more. We picked salted caramel and vanilla cinnamon, our guests couldn't stop raving about the cake! It was honestly the best cake I've ever had! Lush has made lifetime customers out of us!! If you are looking for a cake look no further!! -

At the testing I was blown away by how delicious her cakes were! The cakes themselves were so moist and perfect and the icings and fillings were decadent! I never knew wedding cake could taste that good! Kat was also very helpful in assisting us in the design we wanted. Our wedding cake was gorgeous and tasted amazing! It totally exceeded our expectations of what a wedding cake should be. I would highly recommend Lush Cakery to anyone needing a wedding cake!

She helped me pick out flavors that fit our needs...and of course the cake was SO delicious. Many of our guests pulled us aside during the reception just to tell us how great the cake tasted (and they took it out on the dance floor with them, see photo). Highly recommend! -

Kat is super creative and made the whole process so easy. She wasn’t pushing for us to do more and was honest with us on how much was needed with the guest count we had. The only thing we would have liked would have been to try more than 3 flavors of the cake. It would have been nice to tell her the ones we were interested in and then tasted those. She did have cakes at open houses but typically it was all the top three verses the other flavors. Highly recommend Lush Cakery! She was one of our favorite vendors and things about our wedding!

Andrea Sent on 09/07/2016I originally heard about Lush Cakery from one of my best friends who got married about 2 years ago, and then Lush Cakery came recommended from our coordinator. Working with Kat was so much fun and I immediately connected with her! Kat was extremely helpful and accommodating when I had no idea what design I wanted for the cake. I sent her several pictures and she gave me her professional advice on what would look best.
Kat has such a friendly, precious personality and you feel like you could immediately be best friends with her! Lush Cakery is exactly what you want in a wedding vendor and the best part is THE CAKE! My husband and I aren't huge cake fans, but this cake will make you change your mind. We asked for a variation of one of the flavors and Kat was able to make it happen. We ordered a 4 tiered cake with buttercream frosting and 2 flavors (caramel sea salt and raspberry chocolate mousse), and it was DELICIOUS. We've even talked about eating some of the top layer wayyyy before our 1 year anniversary. Thanks Lush Cakery! -

Not only did it LOOK incredible, but it tasted delicious too! I was so pleased when I saw my cake I almost cried! It was perfect and all I did was tell Kathryn an "idea" I saw on Pinterest. She was so amazing in designing something for my rustic wedding so flawlessly!!! On the most important day of my life she was one detail I did NOT have to worry about and that is priceless. She is the sweetest baker and has a true passion for what she does. I am going to have to order a small cake from her every anniversary! I would highly recommend Lush Cakery and Kathryn to any future bride! It's so refreshing to have someone young and relevant to understand modern cake design who is also extremely reliable and professional.
