I could not be happier about my experience with Luong Lasting as my make up team for my wedding.
My wedding was in Mammoth Lakes, so I had to find a vendor willing to travel the ~5 hours from LA to get there. The travel fee is hefty (it is, across the board for any vendor), but it was so easy to work with Luong Lasting to make it happen.
It was a risk because I had to go with a vendor without doing a trial, but the risk paid off. This was the 5th time I've gotten my hair & make up professionally done (across different events or as a bridesmaid), and I can confidently say that Luong Lasting did the best job across all. And not just for me as the bride, also for my bridesmaids. My bridesmaids even said they liked their make up better than they did for their own wedding!
They were able to do anything across the spectrum, from natural to full on glam for both hair and make up - I saw it all across my friends. I love that they used airbrushing... the make up really did stay on ALL NIGHT! And I also loved that they really knew what they were doing across all ages (from my 7YO flower girl to my older parents). Everyone looked appropriate for their age and the team was able to adapt based on what each person needed.

I've followed Luong Lasting on instagram for the longest time; and when it was my time to get married, I knew I wanted to work with them. They were so easy to work with and the ladies who came early that morning to get us ready were so nice. Everyone looked so flawless. My hair and makeup held up really well. I didn't find myself needing to touch up at all. I felt so comfortable in my own skin and I knew I made the right decision working with Luong Lasting. I definitely recommend working with them if you want to feel so beautiful on your wedding day. -

AMAZING! elegant, classy, modern, romantic. They do every look!
Beyond awesome hair and makeup team for brides and their wedding party! First, I recommend doing a hair and makeup trial to see if you like it. I booked a hair & makeup trial to play with ideas of how I would like my look to be. The quality of the makeup is amazing and they use a silicone base spray on makeup that is waterproof/resistant in case you cry. Then, the makeup artist walked me through what she recommended for my eye color palette and lip color. I LOVED it! They walked me through everything and they were so involved.
I am so impressed by the emailing manager in terms of communication. This team is on top of it! I always get a quick response and communication is super important when it comes to wedding planning. High level of professionalism and always on time! This team will give 200% and be at your wedding site as early as they need to be. It is not an easy job because it is continuous hands on labor and they did amazing. (Because of that, I made sure not to forget to tip them generously). Overall, their prices are fair and affordable especially with their high quality makeup!
Another important point is EXPERIENCE! They know what they are doing and have done hundreds of weddings (if not more). It makes me feel confident that they will do a great job at my wedding and they did!
I wanted a special look with fresh flowers in my hair. My hair artist went above and beyond and communicated with me what would work best for incorporating floral designs and that allowed me to work together my florist in providing those flowers. I had the privilege to work with a talented artist who have done a broad spectrum of hair and makeup for editorial, wedding, runway and more. On that note, I would like to give special thanks to my bridal hair and makeup artist: Emmalee (shown in picture).
I also would like to give thanks to the hair and makeup team for my bridesmaids and 2 mothers. I trust the level of skill and talent these ladies had in glamming up my wedding party.
I recommend 100% !!! -

When I browsed Luong Lasting's Instagram page, I fell in love at first sight. I loved the golden glow everyone had. Everyone's makeup looked flawless. The hairstyles were super cute. I wanted more glam than "natural."
From start to finish, they were so pleasant to work with. They were flexible when I had to postpone my wedding, and super organized. During my trial, the owner, Tina did my hair and makeup. She listened to everything I asked for and executed so well. She started off with lighter "natural" makeup... then gradually built up the drama based on what I wanted - darker eyes, thicker lashes - whatever the look you want, they can do it.
I liked that they use airbrush makeup and Tina matched my skin tone so perfectly. I felt so glam and my skin looked flawless.
On my wedding day, they sent a team of 3 to do hair and makeup for 8 people including myself. Tina worked on my hair and makeup solely, Sandra did makeup, and I unfortunately can't remember her name, but 3rd girl did hair. They were so timely and efficient, rotating everyone one after another -- we finished ahead of schedule. Really impressed by this operation.
Everyone loved their hair and makeup so much - Sandra nailed my mom and mother in law's looks. Prices are fair and you get a better deal with more people. Truly amazing, highly recommend them for your event!! My hair and makeup did not budge after 12+ hours! -

LOVED Luong Lasting!!
We hired Luong Lasting for my wedding back in May 2021. We originally had them booked for our April 2020 wedding but we had to postpone due to COVID. They were very understanding of the postponement and accommodated our date change quite easily.
I fell in love with their work browsing their Instagram account. I was further amazed during my bridal trial, which I scheduled on the day of my engagement shoot. I loved every look they put together. I was not intending to do an updo but it was done so beautifully that I ended up choosing the updo for my wedding day.
I personally want to thank the five girls who came on my wedding day and a special shout out to Kim & Ysabelle for working on my hair & make-up! All my girls & moms were very happy with how everything turned out and they lasted ALL DAY (and I was crying ALL DAY during my wedding haha).
If you are looking for a hair/make-up team for your wedding day or any special occasions, I highly recommend Luong Lasting :) -

I had a number of ladies that needed their hair and make up done - me (the bride), 6 bridesmaids, 2 moms and 3 sisters and 1 grandma. These ladies took care of each and every one of us! Tina took care of me and she was amazing. I had to do 2 trials because I ended up not liking what I thought I would during my first one and Tina was super chill throughout all of that. She also kept it real. I loved it! Also, her & her whole team totally added to the energy and vibe to the morning of the wedding. All of my girls loved them and loved their looks. They all looked flawless! After I got all my wedding photos back, I was even happier with the work Tina put in. I get insecure about how I look, but Tina made me feel beautiful and confident. All of my bridesmaids, moms and sister also looked absolutely gorgeous! They didn't short change anyone. I would recommend this team to everyone! They really listen to what you want and take the time to make it perfect. Thank you, Luong Lasting!! -

User2947399 Sent on 01/12/2017Kim and her team are the absolute best! Her prices are competitive, they are flexible, extremely talented and so fun! I did my engagement shoot/trial with Uyen and Sandra and was looking for a specific 1940's look, which they were able to do amazingly. They were so fun to be around and were very open to the look I was going for. When I saw the end result, I cried because I loved it so much!
When it came to the day of the wedding, I used Kim because of the vintage waves that I requested and I was ecstatic with how I looked! I am so happy that I chose Kim because she was so easy to talk to and made me feel so at ease the day of the wedding. My hair and make up were exactly what I imagined it to be and lasted the entire wedding, which consisted of lots of happy crying and my make up did not budge at all! The Luong Lasting team were able to do hair and make up for my wedding party which consisted of 14 people and even finished earlier than expected! I have never received so many compliments about my hair and make up and all of my bridesmaids (who all have different make up and hair styles) loved each of their looks! Kim and her staff were so professional, open to making my dreams of a vintage wedding come true and not to mention so much fun to be with the morning of the wedding! I will definitely use Luong Lasting in the future for any of my hair or make up needs! -

Ann Sent on 03/17/2015Tina, Kim and Uyen did my hair and makeup for my engagement pictures as well as my wedding and I can't say anything but great things!
The make-up was flawless and came out beautiful in pictures. When I asked for a more natural look for the wedding, Kim used a different foundation in the spray and again made me look gorgeous! Tina and Kim both were hands on with all of my requests and made sure I was 100% satisfied with my look. Eyelashes were included and if you wanted to bring your own makeup (I brought my own blush) they were totally cool with it.
Uyen was my hair girl and she gave me the most beautiful updo with big volume hair and loose romantic curls and all my bridesmaids also loved their hair styles too! Check out my Yelp review I posted all the pics.
If you want to hire a team of professionals who will do everything to make you happy Luong Lasting are the girls for you! They also have pretty hair clips too so don't buy those expensive ones at David's Bridal they have even better ones for way less the cost!
Luong Lasting made me and my wedding party look and feel beautiful and that is priceless =) We had fun working with them and so will you!

User1965389 Sent on 12/11/2014I had the pleasure of working with Tina Luong 4 times! My husband was the one who actually found/referred me to Luong Lasting ! Tina did my hair/make-up for my bridal trial, my engagement session, my tea ceremony, and my traditional ceremony/reception.
I have never met such a professional yet down to earth make-up artist. The best part about it, is she's actually amazingly talented! Her personality is so relaxed, down to earth, and yet still very serious about make-up and hair.
I have never met someone so passionate about make-up and hair until I met other members of her team, Tammy and Kim! I personally worked with Tina for all of my services, being the bride. However, Tammy and Kim, along with Tina, helped beautify my 6 amazing bridesmaids, my mommy and my mother-in-law! I have never seen anyone touch my maid of honor's eyebrows with such ease, haha.
I was so delighted to here my bridesmaids and two moms so happy with how their hair and make-up turned out for the wedding! We were just a hot wedding party, no shame, no doubt thanks to Luong Lasting!
Tina was so flexible, especially being such a fickle-minded bride. I was extremely stressed and indecisive, as every bride would be, but she made the process easy for me. She made me aware of when I should update her and when to communicate with her about dates/times and hair styles.
The quality of the services provided by Luong Lasting was beyond the greatest of expectations. I felt Tina enhanced beauty that was already there without making me feel uncomfortable or insecure about my features I am not so proud of. :)
I am truly so grateful to have met these wonderful ladies, who are actually fun people to talk to. Not only are they talented, but they are such great personable people!
I highly recommend this group of ladies for any event if you just want look good, feel good, or just want to have a great time laughing/talking!

Genice Sent on 04/26/2016From trial to wedding both Jenn (makeup) and Uyen (hair) and anyone from the Luong Lasting team I interfaced with were very professional and personable. Emails were replied to promptly and they were flexible in letting me pay earlier than our contract specified.
During my trial, Jenn asked questions as we tried different looks and made sure I was happy with the overall look. She had to leave a little early but told me up front so it was no surprise, apologized several times for it (even though she didn't need to...she had another booking so I completely understand) and never made me feel like she was rushing or distracted. Since she had to leave toward the end of my trial, another artist named Sandra put the final touches on my makeup. Sandra was also a joy to work with. Day of my wedding, Jenn arrived early and ready to go to do makeup for me and 7 others. Jenn did a great job on everyone's makeup and everyone looked gorgeous! At the end of the night, all of our makeup was in tact.
I have naturally curly hair that I wanted to keep in its natural state. Before my trial, I even sent the Luong Lasting Team a picture so they knew what they were dealing with. Curly girls out there know how difficult it can be to find someone who can style curly hair! Uyen had no issues working with my curls, didn't frizz them up, or ruin the natural curl pattern. She even put in clip in extensions I bought online to add volume and length to my hair. Day of my wedding, like Jenn, Uyen arrived early and ready to go. She worked her magic on my curls and my twins hair as well. The rest of my bridal party has different hair types, textures, and lengths (thick, wavy, thin, straight) and Uyen was able to work with them all, beautifully recreating styles from pictures and verbal descriptions.
While punny, after a long day and night of dancing, Luong Lasting's work really was long lasting for me and my bridal party. You won't regret booking them! -

Anh T. Sent on 03/16/2020Unfair, Unreasonable and Unethical business practices during the Covid19/Coronavirus pandemic.
My wedding was scheduled for 3/28/2020. 3 weeks before the wedding, California's Governor banned group events of my wedding's size, and US Gov't declared a national emergency. That was an unforeseeable event that forced my wedding to cancel. I was devastated. I begged and pleaded with my vendors to refund deposits for work that they had not done (to be done on the wedding day). Nearly all vendors understood this unprecedented event means they should return money for services that they had not performed. Luong Lasting refused to refund the money. They had not done any work, yet they refused to refund the money. They had the audacity to downplay the Coronavirus, and suggest that I was voluntarily canceling and that no one else has reason to.
Anyone who reads this review has lived through the Coronavirus and understands the impact it has on us. As a bride who has planned my wedding for a year, I was devastated that my wedding was forced to cancel because the government required us to. I hoped that vendors would be fair and sympathetic. Luong Lasting was not. They kept money for work that they had not done.
In nearly all contracts, the Coronavirus pandemic would be an exception to the general understanding that a vendor can keep your deposit. My wedding was canceled not because we voluntarily did it, but because we were forced to by a National Emergency/Global Pandemic.
Luong Lasting will make you pay in cash/bank transfer, unlike most other vendors. This is so they can keep your money, in all circumstances, even if they cancel on you, or they go bankrupt.
I suggest that you play it smart and go with a hair/makeup group that is honorable.
