Beautiful selection, great team

I visited Erin and the Luna team when they were still Glitter and Grit in Lawrenceville. Erin is a pleasure to work with and really takes the time to understand what your individual style is. I had a general idea of what I wanted in a dress, and Erin helped me try several in that range. I ended up not loving the way my initial idea (think Carolyn Kennedy slip dress) actually looked on me, so she encouraged me to try a few styles that were slightly different but still fit my style - without pressuring me to try anything I didn't want to. The dress I ended up choosing was strapless, and Erin suggested purchasing additional material and adding sleeves. She also recommended accessories (belt and earrings). The experience shopping for my dress was relaxed and fun from beginning to end. There were no hiccups even when they moved from Lawrenceville to Sewickley between buying and picking up my dress. The final look was so perfect!

There aren't enough good things I can say about my shopping experience at Luna. The experience is unlike any other in Pittsburgh and makes you feel truly special. Bridal is single appointments only; meaning you are the only bride there. I worked with the owner, Erin. Unlike most bridal consultants she had hip style and laid back demeanor. She listened exactly what I wanted and made me feel beautiful before even leaving the dressing room. Even when members of my family had opinions she stayed solely focused on me and what I wanted. The dress selection can't be found anywhere else in our city. Small designers, high quality, unconventional l. It vibed with my own style and I was easily able find the perfect dress (celebrated with a bottle of champagne). I wanted to look like Stevie Nicks and somehow was able to achieve that . Thank you Erin & Luna for the best experience.

I'm so glad I listened to my friend and went to Luna (formerly Glitter & Grit) for my dress. I loved the whole experience. When I was shopping, I felt relaxed and not rushed or pushed. When I found the perfect, most gorgeous dress in the universe, it took a little longer to come in than expected, but Erin was always so nice with my frantic calls and emails and remained calm when I was not. Fortunately my dress came in with more than enough time and it was somehow even more perfect than the sample. The whole boutique has such a great atmosphere and an incredible selection. I wish my words could match just how much I loved this experience, but you'll just have to go check it out and see for yourself!

I cannot say enough good things about Glitter & Grit (Luna Boutique)! I selected my dress and picked it up while Glitter & Grit was still open but I am sure that their new store Luna is equally as gorgeous! Erin, her team, and the store in general were completely different than any of the other wedding dress shops I went to. I LOVE the idea that you could book your appointment online and it was completely private. It made dress shopping so much more enjoyable and personal. The girls were all extremely patient with me while deciding between dresses and they offered advice whenever asked. After shopping at multiple stores, I felt exhausted and as if I would not find my perfect dress until Glitter & Grit came along. I loved so much of their selection that it was actually difficult to choose one dress. I ended up choosing an Anais Anette lace dress that was absolutely stunning. In addition, Glitter & Grit (Luna Boutique) works with a seamstress, Colleen Bankovich, who is SO talented as well. I could not recommend Luna Boutique and the whole team ENOUGH and I was so pleased with their service!

Although I didn't end up purchasing my wedding dress here, I absolutely loved Glitter & Grit. They were my very first bridal salon appointment, and they set the bar very high for the other places I visited. When you go in for your appointment, you're the only one in the entire store, with a staff person there just for you. They let you wander the store and pull things from the racks that catch your eye, while also pulling some based on what your looking for. Their selection is so unique and lovely, and I loved how the dresses they curate are different then what you would find at a more traditional salon. They even sent me a sweet thank you note after my appointment. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful and unique wedding gown!!

I went to two large bridal shops before Glitter & Grit and tried on countless dresses. I felt completely indifferent about most, as they were typical dresses (e.g., tight, sparkly, mermaid cut). I decided to check out this one last place and I was in heaven- private appointments only, with a select number of dresses, all unique. I bought the first dress I tried on and a necklace to go with it. It felt like me and I loved it so much. I would highly recommend Glitter & Grit to any bride who wants to be different.

Erin is a dream! I loved everything about my experience with her at Glitter & Grit. I went to this small, beautiful boutique because I was looking for something unique and not "traditional" for my wedding dress. Erin gave me just enough choices to have options, but not feel overwhelmed. From the second I stepped into Glitter & Grit Erin made me feel comfortable and important. She never rushed me or put pressure on me to make a decision or a purchase. She was so kind and helpful and ultimately helped me find the most perfect dress for my wedding day. I seriously cannot recommend Glitter & Grit enough. I wish I could shop there with Erin all the time!

I fell in love with the dresses of this shop online and when I had my private appointment, this little boutique was even more quaint in person. Erin went above and beyond by having a dress sent there that I had liked online but that she did not carry. This ended up being my dream dress and I cannot wait to wear it on my wedding day next summer. The staff was very welcoming to my family and friends who attended the appointment with me.

Erin and her team at Glitter and Grit are incredible professionals that provide warm customer service and the perfect environment to pick your perfect dress. I knew this boutique would be where I would find my wedding dress because their selection is whimsical, unique, exquisite, and all around lovely. The decor and vibe of the shop is laid back, personal, and inspires creativity! I chose a dress that required some customization and when it didn't come back quite right, Erin hooked me up with an expert tailor and she worked with me until all was perfect! I love Glitter and Grit and it's a absolute worthwhile stop if you're engaged and in the Pittsburgh area. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place.

I am so glad I went looking for my dress here. Went looking for one particular style, but ended up in love with a dress that all I wanted to do was to put it back on! GO with an open mind, they have so many dresses, let yourself be surprised! Erin was amazing too!

After a NIGHTMARE experience at a different Pittsburgh-based bridal salon, I called Glitter & Grit in a panic last week (7 weeks before my wedding) to see if there was anything they could do to help me. I needed to find an entirely new dress and was supposed to be moving out of the city the same day it became clear that there was no way I would be able to wear the gown that I originally bought at the other store. I was really upset and knew there was no way that I would be able to order a gown. The ladies at Glitter & Grit bent over backwards to help me. After I explained my situation, they squeezed me into a 30 minute appointment and managed to find a few dresses that they could potentially sell off the rack. It was clear that this is not something that they normally do and they had the perfect dress waiting for me upon arrival. A review really does not do justice to their kindness and empathy. They went out of their way to help a bride-to-be in wedding crisis mode and if it weren't for this boutique I wouldn't have a dress. I wish I had shopped here from the beginning! Best shopping experience (of any kind) that I've ever had! I would give them 6 stars if I could.

Where do I even start? I’ll start with the obvious: Glitter & Grit is the best bridal boutique in Pittsburgh. Maybe even the United States!

Why is it so special?

The Experience! Erin, the owner of Glitter & Grit, rolls out the white carpet for every bride.

Before the appointment: She makes you feel special from the moment you connect with her boutique. Their website makes it easy to schedule an appointment online and a text message is sent to your phone two days prior as a friendly reminder.

During the appointment: The space is gorgeous. When you walk in, wedding gowns for every shape and size line the walls. Vintage bride, Bohemian bride, Classic bride, Glam bride – there’s something for everyone elegantly displayed.

Did you know that you have the ENTIRE boutique to yourself when trying on dresses? It makes the experience so special – and totally relaxed.

Erin let us walk through the boutique and pick out bridal gowns that I was drawn towards. She also used her bridal expertise and brought along pieces that I would have never thought to pick for myself. I didn’t find my dress the first time I visited but I kept in touch with Erin via email. I returned for the Rebecca Schoneveld trunk show and sorted through her 2017 Bridal Collection. Rebecca Schoneveld creates custom wedding dresses so you pick elements that work best for you! I chose an ivory bodice with a flowy A-line skirt and a long-sleeve lace top. Erin also added a beaded belt, complete with pearls and gems, which added the perfect shimmer and tied in our gold wedding theme.

I purchased my veil only from Erin at Glitter and Grit but the quality and beauty of the products at the shop are amazing!! I found my veil at a trunk show but did not order it until a few months later, Erin is so easy to communicate and work with. I highly recommend Glitter and Grit

I had the best experience shopping for my wedding dress with Erin. The private appointment was so nice and special for me and my bridesmaids. I found my dream dress in my budget, too! Couldn't recommend this business more!

Absolutely, hands-down recommend Erin at Glitter and Grit for your wedding gown, especially if you're like me and want something unique and different from the traditional "trends." The appointments are just you and your family, so you get the private experience. Erin helped me with mine, and I must have tried on 20 dresses! She was patient, kind and so helpful. It was an amazing experience, and I was even sad to pick up my dress because I knew that meant my trips to Glitter & Grit would be no more :(. On my wedding day, many of my friends and family commented on how they had never seen a dress like mine before and how stunning it was! I chose a Flora and Lane dress, and I kept it on as long as I absolutely could. Thank you, Erin, for everything.

I cannot say enough good things about Glitter and Grit, the shop is so so lovely and they offer gorgeous gowns in so many styles. I loved that it was offbeat/ modern and very much reflected my personality in a lot of the gowns. It's so nice to have an alternative to traditional wedding gowns in the city of Pittsburgh. The shop owner (Erin) was so sweet and very very easy to work with, she made the process relaxed and easy. She recommended a great seamstress for alterations locally and the dress was perfect on my wedding day. Erin also had a great knowledge of all the inventory/ fabrics/ vendors that she worked with, she recommened the veil/ color to match my dress and it was perfect. I would highly recommend Glitter and Grit to anyone getting married! :)

I bought my dress and veil at Glitter and Grit and I loved my experience there. Erin, the owner, asked me what I was looking for, made a couple suggestions, and let me browse through her collection of sample dresses. I ended up ordering one of the dresses she pulled for me- an eco-friendly gown made out of organic cotton that I had originally skipped over on the rack. I hadn't seen anything like it elsewhere, and I really appreciated knowing that the materials were ethically sourced. I know this is small, but I loved how clearly all the prices were marked on the dresses. It made it really easy to stay within my budget. I came to Glitter and Grit after a couple of negative experiences at bigger bridal salons, and Erin really saved the day with her small, intimate boutique!

I walked into Glitter and Grit and walked out having found my dress on the first try. Erin was lovely - zero pressure, super chill and has an amazing eye. My Elizabeth Dye gown ended up getting in early...Erin helped me pick a veil and made dress shopping oh so easy. Not to mention...she ended up being accommodating on my original appointment. Whether she knows or not - my original dress appointment was towards the end of a health scare that my dad experienced. We were on our way to visit him in the hospital after the appointment and got to go with great news. Pay her a visit for sure! I live in NYC now and the selection rivals the best boutiques in Manhattan.

I cannot say enough about this store. Erin was wonderful and so easy to work with. She offered really helpful advice in terms of making a decision on a dress as well as accessories, but she was not at all pushy. I had been to one large chain wedding dress store before visiting Glitter & Grit and felt so uncomfortable and pressured to commit to a dress, even though I was clearly not there to purchase anything. Shopping at Glitter & Grit was the complete opposite - relaxed, fun, and with someone who clearly just wanted me to find what I wanted. Even after purchasing my dress, she was great - my veil ripped a few days after bringing everything home, and she was gave me great recommendations for how to fix it and even offered me a discount if I wanted to replace it for a new one! Aside from all of that, the store itself and the dresses/accessories available are all just lovely. I found a dress I had seen online that I ended up purchasing, but found so many other great options as well, so the decision was difficult (in a great way!). Whether you are looking for something unique with a lot of character or even something more classic that you know is made with care, you will be so glad you stopped by Glitter & Grit!

I can't say enough positive things about Glitter & Grit and Erin, the owner. The shop is beautiful with a very warm and earthy atmosphere and during my appointment Erin was so helpful and attentive. She carries the perfect assortment of modern and beautiful designers and is unlike the overwhelming big box shops that all seem to carry the same types of cookie cutter dresses. She has also been amazing with follow up and even sent my husband and I a truly lovely gift to congratulate us after the wedding. She is very thoughtful and involved with all her brides. A perfect wedding dress shop and perfect dress experience!

My experience at Glitter and Grit was fabulous. The fitting was very low-key, and my friends and I had the place to ourselves. I think this is a strong difference between Glitter and Grit and other bridal stores. Also, the styles are unlike anything you will find anywhere else. I found exactly what I was looking for, and Erin is very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly.

Amazing dresses! Erin is a really good buyer. And I've never felt less pressure to pick a dress - she was great at helping me see and wade through the options and giving me time to consider. Great experience!

Before I stumbled on Glitter & Grit I just assumed that my perfect wedding dress did not exist. I tried a few other stores, but most of the dresses just looked like the same old wedding dresses. That is until I stepped into Erin's store. Wow, that an incredible experience. Erin just made the whole wedding dress shopping process so much better. I came in discouraged, thinking that I wasn't going to find anything, an hour later I walked out with the dress of my dreams. I ended up purchasing a semi-custom Janay A gown, the perfect mix of traditional wedding and eclectic charm. Not only is Erin responsive, but she is able to give great suggestions and helpful tips. She is the nicest person you'll ever meet ANDhas a superb eye for design and details. Thanks again Erin for making me feel so special!!

I just had my wedding wearing the gown I purchased from Glitter and Grit. Everyone loved it! It was beautiful, and thanks to Glitter and Grit and my seamstress, I had a gown that was my very own. I highly recommend glitter and grit if you are looking for a beautiful, unique, and high quality wedding gown. Erin is a delight and helped me very step of the way!

I LOVED my experience at Glitter & Grit. Erin was absolutely lovely and was a total pro at keeping the appointment running smoothly. She mostly was in the background but always spoke up when we needed to know about veil options, prices, etc.. She was very supportive and attentive to what I wanted and my time with her resulted in me finding the dress of my dreams. Her store is gorgeous and unique; I really didn't want to leave! Getting my dress from Glitter & Grit was such a special and fun experience!! Every gown is gorgeous and unique, and the atmosphere of the store is amazing (nothing like the larger stores with fluorescent lighting and pushy sales people). Erin is so sweet and accommodating, and focuses on the bride, but it is such a low-pressure experience! I found the most beautiful dress and I am so excited to wear it!!!

After shopping at a few other dress shops I was feeling VERY defeated and underwhelmed with the selection and styles offered in commercial dress shops. Glitter and Grit (Erin) changed that for me! Her laid back approach and unique dress selection was exactly what I was looking for ! I have never seen dresses like the ones there! Glitter and Grit is an adorable shop, with a caring and knowledgable owner. Erin made me feel welcome even before I drove 4 hours from Maryland to visit the store. From our first email correspondence she was willing and excited to give me information and guidance! Now I have the dress of my dreams!

Everything was perfect from start to finish with Glitter and Grit. I was so overwhelmed and annoyed with dress shopping at typical wedding boutiques, as soon as I stumbled across Glitter and Grit I knew it would be the perfect place for me to find my dress for our wedding. Erin made me feel so comfortable and the personalized attention made the whole process feel special.

Glitter & Grit is THE place to go if you're looking for unique and beautiful dresses. If the thought of David's Bridal makes your cringe you NEED to check out Glitter & Grit. Erin has a beautiful selection of gowns for all price points (I was on the lower end). I found a beautiful dress that fit my style and the style of our wedding - outdoors, rustic, laid-back. Erin was flexible, making an appointment quickly, returned all my calls and emails promptly and pre-booked my fitting appointment for when family was in town. She helped me accessorize and didn't think it was strange that I choose to come on my own to find a dress. I felt comfortable and relaxed while shopping. Her store is also so ascetically pleasing to be in. I would highly recommend Glitter & Grit to all my friends (and already have)!

I can't even put into words how much fun I had picking out my wedding dress with my family at Glitter & Grit! Erin was so great (and tolerant) of my crazy, indecisive family and made me feel beautiful in my own skin. Not only did she let my appointment run a little late and help me back into THE dress 3 times before I said "I'll take it!" but she personally gave me great advice when my family was pulling me in a different direction than I wanted to go. Erin gave me the ultimate wedding dress shopping experience at Glitter & Grit and I have already recommended many of my engaged friends to go see her. The dresses she carries in the store are truly unique and fit the personality of all us "beat to a different drum" kinda brides. My bohemian wedding will be complete with the perfect dress I purchased from Glitter & Grit!!!

I feel a little emotional when I talk about Glitter & Grit because the shop had such a great influence on my whole wedding experience. I made an appointment at the shop without any strong idea of what I was looking for - I knew I wanted a simple non gown. Erin helped me narrow my choices down and provided guidance to help me pick the most adorable dress. Throughout the whole shopping and wedding experience, Erin was there supporting my ideas of what I wanted my wedding day to be (or not be!) <3

I can't say enough great things about Glitter and Grit or the owner, Erin. It was an amazing process. She is great at putting everyone at ease and finding just the right dress for you. She's so helpful and never pushy. It is a totally magical experience - especially compared to the "big box" stores that are around Pittsburgh. Do yourself a favor and visit her!!

Glitter and Grit is an absolutely fabulous experience. Erin, the owner, is just lovely to work with! The selection of dresses are beautiful and much more stunning than those at the bigger wedding stores. The environment is welcoming and very charming. I would absolutely, 100% recommend Glitter and Grit to any bride!

Glitter & Grit and Erin were both so lovely! I went during one of the trunk shows for a headpiece designer and had an absolutely wonderful time- the designers were there, as was the owner, Erin and they were all so nice and helpful! The prices are very reasonable and it's a great local business- I love that they focus on sustainable designers and handmade pieces. I would absolutely recommend to a friend!

I ha an amazing experience. As far as the flexibility with the dress goes they get a million stars. I only put 4 stars there because it can be difficult to get an appointment.

As someone who isn't into wedding planning and all things bridal, this place was the place for me. I have a chill attitude, and Erin (the owner) and Victoria (the consultant) brought the same attitude to the appointment. There was no pressure - it was about me and what I wanted. They wanted to get a feel for my style before the appointment, and had beautiful dresses picked out for me before I even got there. And while their inventory doesn't rival that of larger bridal stores (like Kleinfeld's, David's Bridal, whatever), I think that's better. You have a concentrated sampling of beautiful independent designers, and in my personal opinion, that makes shopping easier when you have less decisions to make. I can't thank them enough, and I found a beautiful gown for my ceremony and reception.

I had a great experience at Glitter and Grit! Erin was great with helping with the scheduling and providing a good amount of dresses to choose from. I really wanted to go here to help support a smaller business, and to find a unique dress that no one else would have. Well, I was able to achieve this!

I enjoyed having a trunk show going on at the store at the same time. It allowed me to find a belt that will be going with my wedding dress, and to find one that is very unique.

I shopped for my wedding dress at Glitter & Grit (before it became Luna Boutique) and had a great experience. It was my first (and last) bridal appointment at any store, as I found the perfect dress (it even had pockets!) during my appointment at Glitter & Grit. The consultant--Chantal, I believe--was professional and helpful, and actually recommended the dress I ended up choosing based on my feedback about others (my dress wasn't one I had picked off the rack myself!). I absolutely loved the private shopping experience and found the boutique to be charming and the selection of dresses broad enough to have options, but not so broad that I felt overwhelmed/as if I didn't know where to begin. The entire process of measuring me and ordering the dress was super easy. I was told the dress would take about 4 months to come in, and it came in about 4.5, which was fine for me since I ordered in September for an April wedding. I appreciated that the owner, Erin, kept me updated via voicemail/email every few days past the four month mark (the designer had to reorder the fabric which caused a delay) so that I wasn't wondering where my dress was. My only complaint was that when I bought the dress, I was given the impression that I was getting a custom, made-to-measure dress when the reality was that the dress was made-to-order. This was explained to me by Erin when I picked it up and was wondering why/disappointed that it didn't fit me like a glove. Glitter & Grit did not do onsite alterations, but Erin was able to recommend several seamstresses, including the one I ended up going with (Debbie at Exquisite Fit). Overall, I had a very positive shopping experience, and highly recommend what is now Luna Boutique to brides looking for a personalized shopping experience/who want to stand out and get something unique that you won't find at a big box bridal store.
