One of the BEST decisions we made on our wedding day!!

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Karl Rouwhorst of LuminareFoto for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding day, and we truly cannot recommend him enough. From the moment he arrived, Karl was the perfect balance of professional and personable—he immediately vibed with our group and made everyone feel comfortable and at ease.

He kept us effortlessly on schedule without ever making us feel rushed or pressured. His calm, confident energy was exactly what we needed during such an important weekend. Karl also worked seamlessly alongside our videographer, Gabriel Rosario, creating an incredible team dynamic that allowed every moment to be captured without a hitch.

One of the biggest highlights of our wedding day—for both my husband and me—was Karl. He made sure we were enjoying every moment, while also ensuring we got all the shots and memories we wanted (and even ones we didn’t know we needed). He understood my vision and brought it to life in the most beautiful, thoughtful way.

We are beyond excited to see our official photos and are patiently awaiting them knowing they’re going to be amazing. Karl is a true artist and a joy to work with—we feel so lucky to have had him as part of our wedding.

Amazing work, great to work with!!

We couldn’t be more pleased with Karl! Karl was recommended to us by a friend, who is also a professional photographer, and he was perfect for our wedding. The photographs were beautiful, the turnaround time was lightening fast, and Karl was the perfect personality for our wedding. Our venue had multiple picturesque locations and Karl took time before the wedding to find the very best areas for our rainy morning portraits. His attention to detail resulted in beautiful shots of everything from our family photos, to our rings, to our food and decor. He was both professional and friendly, so easily mingled with our kookier family members while firmly moving us through the formal pictures. At the reception, he was everywhere and nowhere all at once, catching so many special moments that don’t remember seeing him around for.

Naples Wedding

Working with Karl was an absolute pleasure. Not only is he incredibly talented—his photos are stunning and full of emotion—but he’s also thoughtful, intuitive, and goes above and beyond without you even asking. For instance, when I completely forgot to schedule a photo with my sister, Karl noticed and took it upon himself to find her during cocktail hour and make it happen. That moment alone would’ve been lost without him.

But what truly sets Karl apart is the integral role he played on my wedding day. Even eight months later, I can confidently say the day would not have been the same without him. He stepped far beyond the role of photographer—offering day-of coordination, calm crisis management, and genuine emotional support.

When a makeup disaster threw off our schedule, Karl immediately pivoted. He restructured the entire photo plan to give me more time, kept things moving without stress, communicated the changes to my planner (who was at the ceremony site), and most importantly, kept me grounded and calm. Without his advocacy and presence, I would’ve felt rushed and overwhelmed, and likely wouldn’t have taken the time to fix something that truly needed fixing.

My wedding was the happiest day of my life, and Karl was a huge reason why. He’s not just a photographer—he’s a steady hand, a creative guide, and someone you absolutely want by your side on one of the most important days of your life.

STUNNING photos & so fun to work with!

Karl is the type of wedding vendor you meet once in a great while - he truly goes above and beyond for his clients and he did everything in his power to make our day special. I have not received our final portfolio of photos yet as our wedding was just a week ago, but I am reviewing now because I am that impressed with him.

We booked Karl for our destination wedding as well as an engagement shoot. The engagement photos were fun to take and were a great opportunity for us to get familiar with Karl! In October of 2022 we were thrown for a loop when our original wedding venue was destroyed by Hurricane Ian. Karl was flexible and more than willing to work with our new venue. He also helped us choose a new venue by offering his insight about each that we were choosing! Since we did not live in Naples it made a huge difference for us to get a real opinion on our new options.

When we came down for a second menu tasting at the new hotel, Karl met with us again to walk through our wedding day and had some really fantastic options for first-look photos up his sleeve at an off-site location we never would have known about before. He also gave great pizza recommendations!

On the day of the wedding itself, Karl was just amazing. He directed photos so effortlessly and got along so well with my bridesmaids that he honestly could have just fit right into our friend group. He helped them figure out how to bustle my dress, helped me find shade and water when I was overheating, and helped me find a shady place for my bouquet to live so it still looked great in photos. He stuck around to take sunset photos for us and they are some of my favorites. His photo style is light and airy and natural and I can just tell that these pictures are going to look classy and timeless for years to come. Everyone I have shown our sneak peek pictures too says they look like they belong on the cover of a magazine and I have to say I agree!

If you are looking for a wedding photographer who does great work, is incredibly responsive and helpful, easy and fun to work with, and just great to be around, you cannot go wrong with Karl!!!!!!!

Stunning surprise proposal photos

Karl recently photographed my surprise engagement and I am absolutely in love with the photos we received. He was so easy to work with and made us feel so comfortable, after such an exciting surprise. The edits are stunning - light, airy, beautiful, natural. These photos are worth every cent. Truly the best

Karl and his wife, Nanette, traveled from Naples FL to Savannah GA to shoot our wedding and rehearsal, and I cannot sing their praises enough!! They are both extremely professional but also very personable and playful. They made taking our photos so much fun but were able to keep us (and our large somewhat wild wedding party) on track and on schedule. It ended up raining throughout most of our outdoor wedding and first look, which was quite stessful, but Karl and Nanette kept us calm and collected with their positivity and leadership. They took the reigns and were able to quickly adapt and help create the best plan B. They even held umbrellas over us in between shots! They are truly wonderful people to spend your most important day with! Prior to the events, Karl also went out of his way to understand my hopes and vision for our wedding photos. He is extremely talented in what he does and I would trust him to shoot my wedding 100 times over! Without a doubt would recommend Luminaire Foto for all your photography needs!!

AMAZING Photographer and Person!!

From the first phone call I had with Karl, I knew that Karl was going to be a beyond amazing addition to our wedding day vendors. Karl’s professionalism, attention to detail & positivity made me feel so comfortable throughout our entire wedding day. All of our photos were executed seamlessly from getting ready, to first looks and family photos and so on. Karl made it easy for my now husband and I to enjoy our whole day while he helped move things along through our timeline. He prepared me for the little things the week before and helped me conquer them the day of. We have the MOST emotional family (lucky us!) and Karl was so considerate and patient with us during all of our emotional moments throughout the day. Not to mention, Karl is just so fun to be around!! Everyone in our wedding enjoyed spending time with him. During our engagement shoot 10 months before our wedding, my now husband and I basically forgot we were taking photos halfway through as we were just enjoying hanging out and talking with Karl throughout the entire shoot. Amazing, professional, and stress-free experience

I cannot speak highly enough about Karl and Luminaire Foto. Karl’s professionalism, attention to every detail and passion exceeded my wildest expectations for my beach wedding in Marco Island, Florida. When you book an event with Karl, you are not only contracting a phenomenal photographer, but more importantly you are booking an advocate who is focused on ensuring your special day is captured to its fullest extent. On our special day, we encountered unusual weather as a thick layer of fog cascaded over the beach, ensuring we would not receive ‘traditional’ wedding photos. Professional, Great Personality

Nothing negative to say about Karl at Luminaire Foto. Professional, responsive, and fun to be around. To us, our wedding pictures were going to be one of the most important factors in our wedding, aside from the food and DJ. Karl also helped alleviate some of the concerns that we had about doing a first look. HIGHLY recommend doing the first look- because Karl knows what he is doing and it was one of the most beautiful moments on our wedding day. Karl played more than the role of a photographer on that day and he pays attention to details beautifully. His assistant was beautiful and kind as well. Will be having his wife do maturnity shoot in the future :)

Destination Ritz Carlton Naples Wedding

When choosing a photographer for our wedding, it involved more than simply looking at their previous photos.
We wanted someone who would take beautiful pictures, but we also wanted someone who we got along with and understood what we wanted on our wedding day. Karl was not only the perfect photographer for the job, but he far exceeded our expectations. First, and most importantly, Karl managed to capture every special moment from our wedding. The pictures were professional, perfect, and beautiful. But, in addition to those perfect pictures, Karl made our wedding day go that much smoother. When necessary, he managed to be blend in and go unnoticed. When it was time for group pictures, he was efficient and respectful of the fact that no one wanted to spend too much time taking pictures—all while managing to capture the perfect pictures. Karl adapted to every scenario during the day. Karl managed to continue taking beautiful photos when bridesmaids went missing. Karl also adapted to the unpredictable weather. It was extremely windy on our wedding day and Karl worked with the wind to capture romantic shots.
And when we couldn’t figure out the bustle on my dress, Karl served as an impromptu assistant helping with my dress malfunction. If you’re unsure whether you should use Karl for your special day, my husband (who is NOT a fan of pictures) best summarized Karl the day after our wedding—“Karl was the perfect person for the job and I would recommend him to anyone getting married.”

Literally amazing

Karl was originally a “never going to happen, out of my price range” vendor for my wedding, but the longer I looked at his website and talked to other people he’s worked with, the more I realized I had to have him.

He is worth every single penny. My husband hates being photographed, but Karl put him at ease right away. From the perfectly orchestrated First Look to the impressive efforts to capture my dream “floaty veil” shot on a non-windy day, Karl’s commitment and professionalism are priceless.

Karl can be instructive when he needs to be (“stand here and tilt your head this way”), but he also helped us feel relaxed enough to just be ourselves and act how we normally behave around each other, which is where I believe the truly amazing photos come from.

Karl truly cared about us and made a point to bring up certain details about my relationship with my husband that I had only mentioned in passing. My “something blue” was a necklace my husband gave me for Christmas the first year we were dating; during our First Look, Karl said, “Did you ever think when you gave her that necklace five years ago that you’d end up marrying her?” My husband instantly became misty-eyed and Karl snapped the photo. Out of all the snapshots of our day, that one is my favorite.

Karl went above and beyond to capture our wedding—both the moments on our shot list and the candid moments, too. I’m thrilled with his work and cannot recommend him enough.

Absolutely Magical!

Karl helped to make my engagement the most magical night ever. My fiancé hired him to be there to capture the moment and Karl went above and beyond. He took hundreds of pictures and switched up the poses, backgrounds, and effects. He sent us the photos within hours of taking them and they were perfect! Amazing experience with Karl

Where to begin with Karl?! We first met Karl when he came to Miami for our engagement session in 2019. My (now) husband and I felt completely at ease with him and he made the experience so much fun and not nearly as awkward as I anticipated. I was hesitant to have the engagement session, out of fear that it could look "cheesy;" however, our pictures were stunning. It also was a great way for us to get to know Karl before the big day. My mother-in-law also contracted with Karl to photograph our rehearsal dinner, so we got to spend even more time with Karl before the wedding. Karl is kind, thoughtful, has a wonderful sense of humor, and his work is stunning! We are so excited to see our photos, but know that they will be everything we ever dreamed of. Couldn't be happier with these photos

I recommend Luminaire Foto to anyone who wants beautiful and timeless wedding photos! They were INCREDIBLE to work with. My husband and I were very picky with how we wanted our photos to turn out (light, airy, bright greenery, not overly posed, etc.). Karl spent hours on the phone getting to know our personalities and vision for our wedding day. He then built out a timeline that made our entire day go smoothly. We ended up having his wife, Nanette, as our photographer for the day and she was EXCEPTIONAL! Her personality automatically makes you feel at ease and her photos are breathtaking. Karl. Is. The. Best!

I cannot say enough good things about Karl! Before the wedding, he met with me and got all my preferences and special requests and made me extremely comfortable and confident that he understood my vision for the wedding. On the day of the wedding, he was such a positive presence! Not only was he a master of corralling all the kids and family members for pictures, but he completely read my energy when I was getting frustrated with some family members and whisked me off to do couple shots and kept me calm and happy. He is a wonderful person and his pictures speak for themselves.

AMAZING Photographer!

My husband and I used Luminaire Foto for our wedding this past May. We absolutely LOVED working with Karl and his lovely wife Nanette. Karl was extremely professional from the start and even dealt with my very detail oriented mom who asked a ton of questions. Not only was he an absolute pleasure to work with and be around but he took incredible photos for us and really captured the day. My husband and I were very adamant that we didn’t want to do a first look and with our tight wedding day timeline, Karl was very honest with us about what we could expect and came up with a great idea to do a day after shoot with just my husband and I to make sure we got the perfect shots. We also used Karl for our engagement shoot. I wanted something a little different for the engagement shoot and Karl suggested we do it on a sailboat which lead to some amazing photos that we will cherish forever! I can’t speak highly enough about Karl and Luminaire Foto! He is definitely one of the best if not the best wedding photographer in Southwest Florida!

Highly Recommend

Karl was incredible!

Luminaire Foto did an absolutely beautiful job for our wedding!!! I would choose him again and again! The photos that we got are so natural and graceful.

We felt so comfortable with him. I am awkward and stiff taking pictures by myself but he really helped me relax. It helped that we met with him before hand to discuss family dynamics for photos and different combinations.
On the day of the wedding he was so incredibly calm, professional and efficient. We had A LOT of family photos and the ceremony ran over but he was so efficient with directing the huge crowd of people that he got all the different combinations we asked for without feeling like we spent the whole day posing for pictures!

I also usually find dancing pictures to be more awkward but I LOVE the pictures of our reception. He captured what a wonderful time everyone was having on the dance floor. He was absolutely perfect!

Awesome photographers

We chose Luminaire from a list of preferred vendors given to us by our venue since we were planning our wedding from Maryland. Karl was very responsive to emails and we spoke on the phone a few times prior to the event. However, I was still nervous about picking them without ever meeting and worried that it wouldn't seem natural when we started since they would be strangers.

As soon I met Karl all of my worries subsided. Karl, Nanette and Stella were all so friendly and made everyone in the wedding feel comfortable and natural taking pictures. They were friendly and just made it feel so easy. They caught all of our special moments and had everyone laughing and smiling the whole day/night.

We opted to include their foto booth option - everyone had so much fun wearing the props, pictures were emailed immediately, and they look great!

Luminaire Archived My Lost Photos from 9 Years Ago! Amazing!

I worked with Karl 9 years ago for my wedding and engagement pictures (which we loved). Loved his professionalism and flexibility throughout the whole experience. Recently, I've been going through my archived photos and realized that we never downloaded our engagement session. In a total panic I emailed Karl in the off chance that he might still have those pictures archived somewhere. I figured chances were slim to none that he would still have those pictures after 9 years. Amazing he emailed back that night saying that he indeed had them stored in his archives. Karl and Nanette of Luminaire Foto were an amazing husband wife team to work with from day one. They not only made me feel comfortable from day one with our choice but they were in constant communication with myself and our wedding planners and responded quickly to any questions and emails we sent. I felt so comfortable and at ease on the wedding day, which is not easy for me to be since I am not a huge picture person and do not love the camera. If you have any doubt about this team throw it out the window as they will exceed anything you can imagine. Now I just have to wait for the rest of the pictures which I am sure will be just as incredible as the sneak peek.

I absolutely loved working with Karl and Nanette. Not only are they extremely talented photographers, but they are also two of the kindest people you will ever meet! Karl met with me well in advance of our wedding to start making the timeline, and his clear expertise and organization put me at ease immediately. I later met Nanette when she shot our engagement photos. She traveled across the state to our location and spent hours with us shooting the perfect photos (while pregnant!). We received the beautifully edited pictures within a few weeks, and the results truly exceeded our expectations. Our wedding experience was no different. Karl and Nanette arrived on site early and full of energy. They were extremely flexible and worked with our unconventional “getting ready” location. At the ceremony venue they kept us on schedule, took so many incredible photos and did a fantastic job of keeping everyone cool and calm. I can’t wait to hire them again for another big occasion because they’re truly the VERY best!

HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! These guys are the best in Southwest FL. I planned my wedding from away but I knew I wanted Karl and his team to capture my wedding after simply speaking with him over the phone. I thought that I might uncomfortable in front of a camera( and not to mention a complete stranger) all day.... nope, not one bit ... and I owe that all to the wonderful personalities of the photographers. They made day so special and FUN. By the end of the night Luminaire was like family to the bride and groom and our guests!

Karl and Nanette were a dream to work with. We booked them almost immediately after getting engaged for our November 2017 wedding at LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort in Naples. I absolutely love their photography style - their photos are so light, airy, organic, and classic. However, what really sealed the deal was when I called them and spoke with Nanette on the phone. Nanette and Karl are both SO sweet, calm, and friendly, and they really made an effort to get to know us as a couple. Nanette came out to Chicago in September 2016 to take our engagement pictures - I would highly recommend trying to do both your engagement and wedding photos with them (whether in Naples or another destination), as it provides another opportunity to get to know either or both of them better. We also got together with Karl and Nanette about a month or so ahead of our wedding, so by the time of our wedding day they felt like they were our friends :) They both have an uncanny ability to keep you calm and smiling, while also knowing how and when to take command of large groups as needed (we had a pretty big wedding party of 16 people and also did a full wedding photo with our 108 guests). In fact, I had multiple people from our wedding party come up to me during the day and tell me how awesome our photographers were.

When it comes to their work, I could not be happier with our pictures and have received tons of compliments on the photos I've shared so far. We have so many natural, candid photos that capture the moments and emotions of our day, with just the right amount of posed photos, as well. Nanette also has such an eye for the pretty, personal details that I (like many brides) put a lot of thought into. Lastly, we got our photos back in a very timely manner - I believe around 2-3ish weeks for our engagement photos and 4ish weeks for our wedding photos.

My husband and I couldn't be happier to have had Karl as our photographer on our wedding day. On the day of he was cool, calm, collected, accommodating and a pleasure to be around. He went above and beyond while navigating though the many unexpected changes that took place. Even though the weather forced us to move inside, he still managed to get shots on the beach seconds before the rain came down!
The pictures he took are breathtaking - caputuring every moment, feeling and emotion. I am able to relive my wedding day every time I look through them, and I could not more grateful. He is a true professional and the very best at what he does.

My Matron of honor used Karl and Nanette for their wedding photographer. They did such an amazing job; I knew I wanted to use them as well. We are so grateful we did. My husband is very shy behind the camera and Karl was great at making him feel comfortable and really come alive. He knew how to make us both laugh at everything. Karl and Nanette work so well together. They were able to bring a third photographer, Mark who did awesome at helping Karl and Nanette at anything they needed. We had a couple of phone meetings with Karl to tell him everything we wanted out of our photos and he was able to make them happen. Karl was great at getting the whole wedding to the front of the Burroughs Home to get one big photo and could keep all of our family on track during the family photos. We did all of our wedding party photos before the wedding as well as a first look. During our first look it was just my husband and I with Karl, Nanette and Mark. They made us feel comfortable and were able to capture every moment. The first look photos came out amazing. During the ceremony and reception, Karl and Nanette were great at capturing all the action. I love how our guests are able to view the proofs on their website and can purchase their own photos if they were like. The quality of our photos is incredible! We are so happy with how beautiful our photos came out. Thank you to Karl and Nanette for capturing every moment of our wedding day!

Nanette and Karl are two lovely individuals who helped my husband and I through the part we were most nervous about -- pictures! We hate getting posed, he can't fake a smile to save his life, I get self conscious...I can go on.

Thanks to Nanette and Karl, we had the most relaxed and stress-free experience I can imagine. I truly did not believe taking pictures could be this easy. They are so experienced in making you laugh, smile and relax. In our pictures together, you can see my husband and I interact in a way that is natural to us and that relaxed atmosphere reflects in the beautiful photos. My favorite technique that they used was when they would just let my husband and I walk around on the beach and talk. During the "first look" (we did all of our pictures before the wedding, that in itself is a blessing rivaled only by the blessing of waterproof mascara) they had us interact together and ignore them. I was able to talk to my husband and enjoy a small, safe space between us that made me feel so much better about my day. Weeks later, when we reviewed our pictures together, seeing us enjoy that intimate moment in such beautiful pictures was breathtaking. I felt like I was back on the beach in my gorgeous dress!!

Everyone loved Nanette and Karl, we received many compliments on how kind and enjoyable our photographers were. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

If you want a flawless and worry free wedding day, hire Luminaire Foto. We had our destination wedding in Florida so the planning process had its challenges. We did travel to Florida a year before our wedding to meet with prospective vendors. The second we met Karl and Nanette, we knew we wanted them to capture our special day. We used Rachel and Nicky for the our photographers for our wedding and would recommend them to anyone!! They were able to give direction when necessary, but so easy going throughout the day. Our photographer Rachel did an amazing job and we are so happy with our photos. We are not people who like being center of attention and she made us feel relaxed and comfortable. I can't say enough great things about Karl! They were on time, attentive to all our needs and even put up with my controlling nature! I had specific shots that I wanted and they were so accomidating! They were flexible with the timeing so that our elderly guests could get out of the sun and they were very attentive to the sunset time and getting the perfect shots. They even worked with our dog who was our ring bearer. And when my husband lost the surprise fireworks he bought, Karl even took him back to his hotel room to look for them. They definately went above and beyond their job duties and I would recommend them HIGHLY!

Our entire experience working with Karl and Nanette of Luminaire Foto was delightful. Fortunately, they were the first wedding professionals that we met with and after our first meeting not only did they convince us that they were the right photographers for us but they also gave us valuable information on who and what type of vendors to seek out for the unique wedding day that we desired. After applying their advice, our wedding began to transform into an even better day then we dreamed of. Our outdoor wedding fell on one of the coldest days of the year in FL, however it was so warm of emotions. Karl and Nanette are the perfect team! Not only are they incredibly talented, creative, and helpful, they are FUN! We asked them to come up to Chicago for our engagement photos and they jumped at the opportunity. They did a ton of research on best locations, lighting, etc., and we ended up with photos that were far beyond expectations! All of the photos are absolutely beautiful! On our wedding day they were over the top incredible. I was so excited to see them when they came to the wedding suite. They are a breath of fresh area during a chaotic day. Nothing phases them- laid back, in control, and so helpful- Karl even helped with my dress! They are incredibly efficient and coordinated- they work so well together. All of our groomsmen loved Them for being efficient with the wedding party's time and being able to get the attention of a wedding party of 22! We had a lot of chaos and Karl and Nanette really stepped up to help us with where to be and what we needed to do. They are true experts in weddings- way beyond the call of a photographer, they could have been our day of wedding planners! We have only seen 15 shots of the wedding and I could not be more happy. We have received over 100 compliments on the photography from our wedding and everyone is asking if Luminaire will travel for their own weddings. I could not have dreamed of better photos and people to work with. Hope to be able to work with them again in fact in another capacity.

Luminaire Foto, both Karl and Nanette captured our day in the most relaxing, stress-free way possible! You will not find better wedding photographers than Karl and Nanette!!!! I love them so much and am so thankful to have had them on board as a part of our special day. From the beginning they were easy to work with and truly helped us make our wedding a memorable event. They are simply wonderful people with a passion for their work and I cannot say enough good things about them!

Karl and Nanette did an AMAZING job! My husband and I live in NYC. We flew down to Naples, FL in July to meet with our wedding vendors for our September wedding. We met with Karl during our July visit and thought he was super nice. More than nice, Karl and his wife turned out to be AWESOME! They were very responsive and accomodated all of our requests and our family's requests. We had a wedding of 90 guests and booked Karl and Nanette for 9 hours and they were energetic all the time and had a great attitute! We strongly recommend them!

The best friendliest photographers!!! I love the photo box at wedding everyone had a blast! My albulm is amazing! Highly recommend!!!!! They were both very helpful and considerate of timing etc! I have pictures of everything thanks to them every moment is documented and I have a beautiful albulm to show it all!

We can not say enough about Karl and Nanette. The quality of pictures and the amount that turned out beautiful are too many to name. Karl and Nanette were so much fun to work with that we didn't forget they were there but they became a part of the event. Karl brought out the playfulness in everyone and he got so many amazing shots. He even got into the ocean and was completely soaked while taking pictures of us when we climbed out on to some rocks in the water. He was not at all concerned with getting wet; he just wanted to get the most beautiful shots. They were both fantastic and I recommend them both! We also used their Fotobooth for the wedding and it was the biggest hit with the guests.

We could not have been happier with Karl and Nanette. Not only are they brilliant at what they do, they are extremely easy to be around. They have a wonderful point of view and their pictures are phenomenal. Our guests loved the fotobooth. They had so much fun. Hiring Karl and Nanette was one of the best decisions we made. Our wedding was a success in large part because of them. We emphatically recommend Karl and Nanette.

All I can say is.....Holy crap these photos are amazing!

Actually I can say more...Karl and Nanette are so professional, kind, outgoing and talented. They know just how to put you at ease to help them get great shots. They got all of the details that were so important to me. There are so many great photographers in the area to choose from, but I definitely made the right decision with them! They really did a fantastic job of capturing all of the love and happiness for me to cherish for a lifetime!

By far the best photographers! They make friends with you, keep in touch, and once the wedding is here they make you feel so comfortable and relaxed. And they are not pushy at all. Best and cutest husband and wife couple to work with. I would recommend them a thousand times over!

Luminaire Foto did an awesome job with the pictures. They have a very artistic eye and they are wonderful to work with. The photographers are a couple who are very personable. Karl is good at directing people for group photographs and he knows how to make people feel comfortable. Nanette is very good at capturing the little details. The photobooth was also a very cool addition to the reception; our guests had so much fun taking pictures. I highly recommend Luminaire Foto.

My husband I were recently married at the Pink Shell Beach Resort and Spa in Fort Myers Beach. We chose Luminaire Foto to capture our wedding day and we couldn’t have been more delighted to have Nanette and Karl there on our wedding day. This husband and wife team is truly a dynamic duo; they work not only with each other, but also off each other. When they arrived on our wedding day they brought their humor, charm, and peaceful demeanor. Upon arrival they made connections with our friends and family that were there. You would’ve never guessed from the genuine moments they captured and the natural smiles that this was our family and friends first time being photographed by this team.
Karl and Nanette did a wonderful job being flexible. My husband and I didn’t want to see each other before the wedding and we had communicated this to Karl and Nanette, but on the day of the wedding we decided that we wanted a moment together before the wedding to talk and pray without seeing each other. They not only honored our request, but they also did an outstanding job capturing the tenderness of the moment.
My husband and I also loved the photo booth option that Luminaire offers. Some of the pictures that we love the most from our wedding came from the photo booth. This self-manned photo machine with a camera attached brings the narcissist out of even the most straight-faced people you know. Karl and Nanette have the most hilarious props that guests are allowed to use in their photo booth pictures. Needless to say the pictures are entertaining. Everyone at our wedding raved about how much fun they had in the photo booth.
No matter how passionate you are about pictures you are, on your wedding day you have so many things running through your head, and it is so important to have someone who shares your same vision of photography. Karl and Nanette’s attention to detail and ability to capture breathtaking images is magnificent. By choosing Luminaire to capture your day you can truly put your mind at rest. They are incredibly talented and dedicated. Their photojournalistic style will tell the story of your magical day. We loved the foto booth! It was a big hit with great props!! They spent nearly 12 hours with us and all the pictures are beautiful. They were very helpful while we went thru the process of choosing a photographer. He had a helpful staff and we're very happy with results.

Karl and Nanette are amazing and a pleasure to work with. My husband and I met with several photographers around our area (Tampa Bay) but could not find one that suited our style and budget. We were set on having two photographers and ones that captured natural beauty instead of photoshopping everything.

From day one when we first met with Karl and Nanette to our wedding day, we were very pleased with their professionalism and quality of work. Neither my husband or I are very comfortable in front of the camera, but Karl made it very easy to relax and have a good time (both during the engagement session and wedding day).

I would definitely recommend an engagement session before the big day! Karl and Nanette used our engagement photos to create a beautiful hard back guest sign-in book. Many of our wedding guests complemented us on the engagement photos and the quality of work Luminaire provided.

Karl and Nanette, thank you so much for your help this past weekend. Your pictures will be cherished for many years! We cannot wait to see the proofs! THANK YOU!

If you are looking for fun, amazing photographers, stop right here! I planned my Ft. Myers Beach destination wedding completely online, and Luminaire was the first vendor I booked, and I could not have been more pleased. Our photos are absolutely amazing, and the fotobooth is a must! Karl and Nanette shot our beach wedding in Naples, Florida. They did such an amazing job and we are so happy with our photos. They are creative, fun and will do anything to get the perfect shot! Luminaire Foto should absolutely be your choice for any type of photography. We planned our wedding from Oklahoma for a 4th of July weekend wedding in our second home Naples. Karl and Nanette were so thoughtful, flexible, and helped make our wedding day. Our wedding pictures were phenomenal. 6 months later, I still get compliments on thr photos. Our wedding pictures were one of the most important things when we considered details for our wedding. We chose luminaire photo and never once regretted our decision.

The energy these two bring will ensure every bride get their perfect pictures.

We also did a family photo shoot pre wedding on the beach. Dogs included, Karl shot one of the greatest family photos of all time!!

Karl and Nanette could not be better to work with! They are considerate and compassionate. They will listen to your concerns and do everything in their power to alleviate or erase them. They know their craft and they love it! My husband was uneasy about being in front of the camera but their unobtrusive methods and friendliness quickly melted that away. None of the photos show even a trace of nervousness. Karl and Nanette are everywhere you want them to be during your event but so unobtrusive that you don't know it until you see your pictures. They have an amazing open-air photo booth that is a must! They also offer a stop-motion video of your entire day that is a few minutes long and set to music. It is the perfect replacement for the old, ridiculous videographers. We did the engagement session and the wedding and I am booking them for a casual session in the spring. I just can't praise them enough!

Planning a wedding can be stressful enough, let alone finding a great photographer to rely on for memories to last a lifetime. Karl and Nanette were HIGHLY recommended from a friend, and truly, I can't thank her enough (and Karl and Nanette). In just minutes after our first meeting, I quickly saw that Karl is PASSIONATE about photography. He's just as excited as the wedding party to see the pictures. They plan for the worst- creating them to be OVERLY prepared- which is EXACTLY what I'd want on my one special day. At the wedding, they created a little "business card" with our picture on it, letting our guests know where to look for the fotobooth pictures and wedding pictures online. Small, unforgettable details like this were outstanding. Our guests (as well as us) said they've never seen such brilliant photography. They captured so many intimate moments between my husband and I. The clarity and emotion in each picture leave you more than content! You have to do the fotobooth- you won't regret it! Our guests had a blast! Did I mention the BEST part- he gets the wedding pictures to you quickly!

Karl and Nannette were the best decision I made during the entire wedding planning process. Their photos are stunning. They captured moments that I can hardly remember during the excitement of the day. I couldn't of been happier with the photos they took. We planned our entire wedding from Atlanta, GA, and Karl was extremely helpful in the planning process, despite the fact that we never met him until the big day. When my husband and I became sick a few days before we were supposed to have our engagement photos taken, he rearranged his schedule so we could have the photos taken during our brief stay in Naples, despite the fact that we were there around the holidays.

On the day of our wedding, Karl and Nanette were both easy going, creative, and listened to our ideas regarding our photos. The images turned out wonderful - they have a natural, photojournalism style that really captured the special moments and details of the day (like when I shoved cake in my husbands face and when my 95 year old grandmother got on the dance floor).

I would highly recommend their work to any bride.

By far my favorite vendor I chose! Photos were really important to me (like they are to most any bride) so it was important to me to choose the best photographer. Wow! These two are the best. My photos captured all the little moments you remember, but don't always seem to get a lasting memory of with photos. They were very helpful and responsive with all my questions and helped with input on any detail of the process needed. If your wedding photos are something you want to treasure the rest of your life you should definitely go with Luminaire, it is worth the cost. They also really take the chance to get to know you and determine which shots are most important to you as a couple. After your wedding day is over those pictures are what you have to remember every detail. Stylistically they cannot be beat. I would recommend them time and time again.

Pictures turned out beautifully. Could have been a little more assertive towards making sure guests knew about iPad (that they could send pictures to themselves). The iPad was such a great addition and it would have been wonderful if EVERYONE knew about it. Overall I enjoyed the services Luminaire offered!!

Meringolo Wedding

Coming up on my one year anni I have avoided looking at pics. My review has nothing to do with the personalities of luminaire which are great. I was expecting light and airy and pics were gloomy even through iPhones showed sunny moments with beautiful color and definition. My couples portraits except a few are on the side of the venue (with tables and chairs in background) instead of in front of the castle view. No bridal portraits were taken when I was dressed in my gown and outside none in front of the venue -a few to the side. I was told that most of the pics I was expecting were only videoed. I still have to airbrush all my bridal close ups. Glad I dieted all my life for this dress lol. My 80 year old grandma took some bridal shots of me so lucky for those! I am talking through all my bridesmaid + JB photos so those were aimlessly taken. Not in front of the venue of course. I have no just bridesmaid pics. My family portraits were taken in front of concrete instead of so much greenery at the venue. My ceremony was in the evening and the quality was not great. I expected a professional camera to be able to work with evening light. There was little direction on poses- I was always asked what I wanted to do. I was sleep deprived and planned a wedding by myself and I was expecting a professional to tell me what to do! The turn around time for pics was 4 months not 6 weeks and 6 months for One edit. No response after I asked twice if I could have help making an album. They also said they didn’t need a shot list but many pics were missed that I’m still sad about. Overall they did take a lot of pics so I have content just compared to their work on IG/website my wedding day was not that. Probably a bad day it’s just a bummer this bad day was the most important day of my life.

I hired karl for my wedding and i dont have a single picture that i can put in a frame or on my wall. He is the worst photographer i know and will not refund me anything i purposely got married at sunset on the beach for the beautiful scenery and have no pictures with the sunset!! What?!? i may as well have had the pictures taken in my living room with white walls in the background. There are no pictures of the train of my dress spread out none of me and husband in ANY good poses Please save yourself the extreme disappointment and overpriced DIGITAL useless photos he is far from a 5.0 Plus you would think if he sees that the pics are not coming out well bc of the weather maybe take some INSIDE! Instead I have nothing... he also refused to give back the very generous tip i gave him upfront. Do not recommend.
