Looking for a beautiful ceremony unique to you?
If you're reading this review because you are browsing around for a wedding/elopement/engagement photographer, look no further!! Andrea has such a unique and beautiful way of storytelling through her photography. She makes you feel extremely welcome and comfortable from the very first moment you reach out to her. The prices are very reasonable and she is transparent with the costs up front. Working with Andrea felt like reconnecting with an old friend. She gave us recommendations for lodging, restaurants, ceremony locations, etc. We were totally blown away by the beauty of the spots she took us for our elopement. We chose a location in Copper Harbor and it was so magical. Andrea made our day feel very intimate and intentional, which is exactly how we wanted it. After our day, we received a sneak peak of photos which I would have been happy if those were all we got. BUT when we received our full online gallery, I was speechless. The gallery is available for a whole year with options to download, share, and order your images in many different formats. It is so convenient being able to do all of that in one place. So if you are looking for a unique experience with high quality photos, that will have you reliving your wedding day from start to finish, hire Andrea!! You won't regret it -

Andrea is not the traditional wedding photographer. Her work is innovative and edgy. She photographed our elopement in Michigan July 2021 and we could not be more pleased. Steve and I are free spirit Aquarian’s and Andrea immediately “got” us and her photos truly expressed who we are as a couple. She captured sensual and spontaneous expressions that Steve and I shared throughout the shoot when we did not even know she was looking. Hire her. You will not be disappointed. -

Andrea is an authentic photographer- she captures the unseen moments, the raw emotions, and the photos she took of our intimate ceremony were very "us." Not only were our photos better than we expected, Andrea is a genuine person to work with. Andrea made the stress of planning a wedding during covid so easy- she provided us with so many resources, was communicative, and accommodating to our many wedding changes. We can't wait for her to capture our reception in 2022! -

Amazingly talented, heart of gold!
Andrea was such a joy to work with! Our wedding date was 10/10/2020. We had a fairly large wedding and reception planned, but had to cancel everything just three weeks before due to COVID. We knew we still wanted to elope, but we had no idea what to do. We contacted Andrea, and she completely saved the day! She helped us find a new, beautiful location, and helped rearrange our timeline and schedule for the day. She even signed our marriage license after we lost our officiant, and couldn't find a replacement in time - she's ordained! In the end, our day turned out perfectly beautiful, and Andrea was a huge part of making that happen. Andrea thought of all the little things that we didn't even consider - bringing a pen to sign the documents (seriously, we forgot this), a place to sit, and even snacks when I almost passed out because I forgot to eat. We made the choice to hire her because we loved her style, and we would hire her again because of the way she came through for us! If you like what you see on her website, then you will be happy with your photos, no question. Hire her because she really cares about making your day special and unforgettable. -

Andrea has been awesome from the start! I found her through wedding wire, after reading reviews & viewing her work I was in love instantly. She is so talented and she has so much knowledge & creativity, she is truly unmatched! She makes you feel comfortable & natural in front of the camera, her photos are so beautiful & exactly what I was looking for. She is so personable, I loved working with her! These are pictures we will look back on for a lifetime when the memories start to fade, she is worth every single penny! Our engagement session was absolutely perfect, & exactly what I was looking for, I can’t wait to get the rest of our wedding photos back! Having Andrea at Lume Photography shoot my destination wedding in Chachagua Costa Rica was pure joy. Andrea scouted out secluded areas for our first look photos, captured the earthy vibe of our outdoor ceremony, and the fun of our reception. We also received many "bonus" pictures of wildlife and plants that were abundant at the ecolodge.
Andrea reminded me to take the time to look around, breathe, and take things in during the whirlwind on our wedding day; advice that was highly appreciated. The photos speak for themselves; they are breathtaking and vibrant. My partner and I feel so blessed to have had the creative eye of an artist looking through the camera lens.
I have nothing but good things to say about the Lume Photography experience. It is the right choice for creative people with an eye for details and lovers of the natural world. -

Perfection!
Andrea was AMAZING. My (now) wife and I eloped in the Rocky Mountains and wanting everything to be as perfect as possible, we were both a little nervous going in. We met up with Andrea the day before and scoped out our location and immediately upon hanging out with her and seeing the location, all of our anxieties disappeared. Our wedding day was absolutely amazing and the pictures she took were phenomenal. She captured the emotions of the day with perfection and really did make the entire trip. We would definitely relive the day again with her by our side and HIGHLY recommend her to anyone. -

I honestly cannot say enough about how happy we were with Andrea as our wedding photographer! She was accessible to us ahead of time, got to know us and helped us to organize photography into our wedding timeline so that on the day of, everyone was on the same page and we did not have to worry about anything. She took time to go to the locations ahead of time so that she would be familiar with the lighting and all of the best spots for photos. We have an amazing selection of the candid moments that make up our day, plus portraits. Our photos transport me back to that day, and that is so much more than I was looking for. I am so glad Andrea captured our day for us so that we can treasure these memories for forever!

Incredible
Andrea was THE BEST to work with. She’s so relaxed, SO talented, and so much fun to work with. I had no worries come the big day just knowing that she would get the best shots and help coordinate the day just as I needed. I was actually pregnant at my wedding and not many people knew, she was always checking to make sure I was doing okay and drinking enough water! Simply the best. -

It was perfect!!
Andrea was amazing! She completely captured all the beautiful moments we had at our wedding. She knew exactly how to use the surroundings we had from the venue for our couple’s pics (our wedding was Oct. 7, so there were a few leaves changing colors already). We felt super comfortable during the shoot, and never felt like we had to pose for pictures even during reception. She totally blended in.
As for the final result, I just can’t get enough of all the pictures! I have so many favorite ones, absolutely stunning! They’re all perfect. We’re super happy with her job. -

When looking for any wedding vendor, my husband and I were looking for those that made us feel as like an individual and not another number. Out of all the vendors we choose, Andrea hits this out of the park! She is very personable and goes out of her way to get to know you, your family members and guests. I have to admit at first I was feeling nervous because she doesn't go for the posed photos but I knew her work was amazing! After working with her and seeing our pictures we couldn't imagine it going any other way. Her pictures show the story of a fairytale and we couldn't be happier. Not to mention on the day of she essentially became a mini-coordinator. She helped to keep us on track and remind family where they needed to be. Thank you Andrea! We appreciate you so much! -

Alayna Sent on 05/22/2018I have worked with Lume Photography before, and when it came time to pick a wedding photographer there was no hesitation in going with Andrea. I knew her style, the way she worked, her friendliness, and the way she presents not only herself but her work. I had to do some convincing on my father in laws part. I'm so glad that we hired her and that we have more than amazing pictures to show off our day. Lume Photography is number one in our eyes. We have recommended her to everyone we know and all of our guests have her information. If you really are looking for someone who is going to capture all of the moments and then those that you can't even dream of you've found the right person for that in coming to the reviews. I could rave on and on about this business and the woman behind it for hours on end. If you don't believe me check out her work, set up a meeting with her. You'll be sure to fall in love with her work and the person that she is right away. I know I've told you a hundred times, but thank you from the bottom of our hearts! You've made lasting memories that are extremely beautiful and capture the whole day in a way we never thought possible.

Ashley Sent on 01/31/2018Found Andrea - Lume Photography while randomly browsing Facebook for a style that was different. After being turned away because of pricing I stumbled on Andrea. Holy cow did I hit the jackpot! Her style was EXACTLY what I always dreamt of. We met up one day to just meet each other and feel it out and she could not have been any better. She is a soft, kind soul. She was funny and very easy to get along with. We easily found interests we both had and knew we had to book her. She photographed our engagement photos too (with our pup) and she was more than willing to do so. We met at a brewery in downtown Detroit (of which we LOVE now) and went on an adventure downtown. Once we got to the wedding she was so easy to be with. We were never stressed to have our photo taken and very rarely did she make us pose for pictures. That is what we wanted. Something that seemed like it was taken from film..just life that just so happened to be photographed. We now follow each other on social media and I am happy we can stay in touch that way. Her pricing is priced extremely well. She is willing to travel anywhere (would love to) and was even more than happy to photograph our dog as well.
