Absolute best guy for the job!
Lucas is the most talented, has the best vibes, and wonderful team to match. He took everything we dreamed of and made it come to life. Not every photographer has the extra calm and organized energy to help the day flow and get the job done, but Lucas does exactly that. His positive energy radiates and his professionalism and experience makes everything feel so right. There was a moment I panicked because I wanted my mom there with me when I was finally all ready, but she was back at the hotel when I was finished. Lucas quickly pivoted, calmly suggesting my First Look could be with both my Mom and Dad instead. And those photos and memories are some of my absolute favorites of the weekend. And that’s the kind of photographer he is. He isn’t just the guy who gets the shot, he’s a team player and knows the wedding world like the back of his hand. You won’t regret having him be a part of your magical day. -

Lucas was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He is incredibly easy to work with, organized, calm, and completely on top of every detail. We had the pleasure of working with Lucas Rossi for our wedding, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better photographer.
From the start, Lucas was incredibly professional and organized. His communication was clear, his planning was detailed, and on the wedding day he kept everything running smoothly. He brought such a calm, confident energy that made the entire day feel easy for me and my wife. We were able to actually enjoy every moment without stress. Honestly, if he ever wanted to become a wedding coordinator, he would be amazing at it — that’s how organized and on top of everything he was.
The photos came out absolutely stunning. He captured every emotion and detail so beautifully, from the big moments to the quiet candid ones. Looking through the gallery truly felt like reliving the best day of our lives.

Marrying my husband was the best decision I've ever made; second to that, was hiring Lucas.
The #1 advice I got from brides was to hire a reputable photographer that is communicative, and is someone you and your fiancé like and trust. Besides your spouse, the photographer is the person you spend most of your wedding day with, so as silly as it sounds, liking your photographer makes all the difference in how comfortable you feel and therefore has a direct impact on how well your photos turn out. I know more than one bride who got married and didn't jive with their photographer 100%, and it's their biggest regret.
Lucas commands a high fee, and once you work with him, you'll understand why. I feel lucky that we even were able to get Lucas for our date, because the really good photographers you realize tend to book quickly.
We had Lucas and his team for 9 hours and I've never seen someone work harder, get all the shots, be professional, make everyone feel comfortable, AND make it fun.
My husband and I are pretty camera shy, but Lucas made us and our family and friends feel comfortable and actually enjoy taking photos. Lucas and his team are energetic, fun, but also know when to pull back and let you and your spouse enjoy the day.
We got married at the San Ysidro Ranch, and Lucas scouted all the best locations to capture the beauty of the location as well as beautiful photos of us, so we felt like we didn't have to do a thing on the wedding day when it came to photos.
Photos are the only tangible thing you have left on your wedding day. My husband and I love our wedding photos and get to relive the day over and over thanks to Lucas' high caliber work.
TL;DR
Just trust me. Stop reading this review and just do yourself a favor and hire Lucas. He's worth every penny. -

Lucas and his team (and now fiance Katy!) were absolutely amazing. Not only did we get fabulous photos, they were so much fun, calmed me down when I was nervous and made sure I always had a margarita in hand! I've recommended Lucas and his team to so many. Beautiful photos, fabulous video and fun-loving. . . what more could you want in your photographer/video team?! -

Wedding August 9, 2019: Lucas Rossi is incredibly kind, friendly and energetic. His enthusiasm for his work makes taking photos that much more fun. Very professional and efficient, you know you’re in good hands if you choose him. His assistant/fiancé is lovely! Lucas’ style of photography captures so much beauty. You will feel you look your absolute best on your wedding day. He goes above and beyond to get great shots and make sure that you are comfortable- he literally helped to lift and pull me into his car with my wedding dress to take photos on a trail! From my initial email to now, more than a year after our wedding (when I have questions about all the photos I want to order), Lucas has been nothing short of amazing. I ask A LOT of questions and he was more than happy to answer every single one, whether it was about his photo and video packages, changes/additions we could make, or his recommendations for location, photo list, etc. I get super shy/awkward in front of a camera so was very nervous going into our engagement shoot, but Lucas made both me and my husband feel comfortable right away; he also was full of compliments, which is a good ego-boost when you're having a bunch of photos taken. On our wedding day, Lucas and his team were super flexible with when/where we wanted to start and was a pro at directing shots. Even my husband and his friends had a great time getting photographed, which was one of my worries given that they're a bunch of men who aren't big on pictures. Lucas and his team fit into our day and friends/family seamlessly; his energy is great, his photos and videos are nothing short of amazing, and I probably told him I loved him 1,000 times that night and he didn't tell me to be quiet once :)
I would hands down recommend Lucas again and again! -

Lucas did our wedding photos for our July wedding at Hummingbirds in Simi Valley. Our experience with him was so seamless and he was nothing short of professional and obviously a talented photographer. From the beginning throughout the entire process, Lucas pours his heart and soul into his work and making sure all of your visions come to life. On the day, he makes everything seem effortless. He makes each and every one of your guests and family feel beyond comfortable and blows them away with his breathtaking photos! I never had a worry in the world the entire process, because I trusted wholeheartedly in Lucas. That's just how he makes you feel! We had every guest come up to us and remark at how Lucas & his team were the most professional and talented team they had ever seen. I could not say enough good things about Lucas & his team! He gave us the pictures and video of our dreams!

Kaitlin Sent on 09/16/2017From the moment I first spoke on the phone with Lucas, I knew he was the person we wanted to hire as our wedding photographer. Our conversation was so natural and authentic. I felt like he really cared about our wedding...not just "getting a wedding" as business. I even ended the phone call and called my fiance saying..."I think I just fell in love with a photographer...is that a thing?" My fiance laughed...but I had indeed. At our engagement shoot, Lucas made everything feel very comfortable and normal, even though there is nothing comfortable or normal about having your photos taken when you are just run of the mill average people. And also, are depending on these pictures to be THE THING you send to every person you are inviting to the wedding!! He made us laugh, we hopped all over Venice taking pictures and chatting, and the pictures came out amazing! My fiance and I are both very Type-A people who need things done a certain way, and as anyone can imagine as the wedding day neared close, the relinquishing of control to other people felt pretty out of the ordinary. However, Lucas was nothing short of incredible the entire day! He was the right balance of casual and "get in your places people" that we needed for our day. He made us smile - when we were near tears or nervous or overwhelmed - and had a super fast turn around time with our pictures. And our pictures were everything I could have imagined and more! My - now - husband and I could not be more pleased with our choice in photographer, who we can now like to call our friend. You are making the absolute best decision going with Lucas and his team!

Not only did he deliver beautiful photos, he was a joy to work with through the whole process. A fun little story as an example of what a gem he is: Our shuttle broke down the morning of the wedding. Lucas jumped into action and brought his car around so he could somehow fit me and my gown in his car and get us to the venue asap! Like I said- a Rockstar! I highly recommend Lucas :) -

Kaitlyn Sent on 08/20/2016Our wedding photos are gorgeous simply because we booked Lucas Rossi Photography. When I first met Lucas, I felt like we had been friends for years. His warm, easygoing personality is instantly calming. First he makes you feel comfortable and relaxed, and then he is able to capture these beautiful, natural moments of genuine emotion. Lucas sweeps you up in his passion- I mean, we jumped over a creek and stomped through a field of dirt because Lucas had a vision of loveliness and he made us want to see it through- and the results are stunning. Stunning! Not only did he take phenomenal photos, he also worked with our coordinator, our DJ and our caterer to keep things running smoothly; he checked in with my husband and me throughout the night to make sure we were having a good time; he even patiently explained how the ring exchange should go during the ceremony to our officiant (my cousin who got ordained specifically to marry us). None of those things are in his job description, but he did all that and more and made our wedding day that much smoother. I cannot say enough good things about Lucas or recommend him highly enough. Book him! -
