Soooo delicious!!!

Our photographer and his wife recommended LCQ to us and Chef Jolie did not disappoint! There were so many great options, it was so hard to choose. Appetizers were amazing, entrees were fantastic, sides were out of this world. Everyone kept coming up to us and telling us how much they loved the food. A week later, our mouths are still watering thinking about it! The service was great too, everyone was really sweet.

Mouth watering!

We scheduled tastings with several vendors, but knew right away that we’d choose Low Country Quisine after our first bite. Jolie had a table set for us and explained each of the food options we tasted. Every one was mouth watering!
She sat down with us after to get our feedback and together we wrote a proposal. There were plenty of menu choices and packages to choose from. Having the ability to do the rental package and staffing through them gave us peace of mind that it would be done right. Of course Colvin-19 created some changes in rentals and serving, but Jolie and her staff didn’t disappoint us. So many people raves about the food, especially the shrimp and grits and savory pot roast! The jalapeño cornbread and Georgia peach tea were also a bit hit with our guests.

Cannot Say Enough Good Things about Low Country Quisine

Low Country Quisine was definitely one of my favorite wedding vendors! At FCBC we had 4 different companies to choose from and went with LCQ even before tasting because their menu options were easy to understand and customize and Jolie was super-responsive when it came to putting together quotes and making adjustments based on our budget. Having delicious food was one of our priorities and LCQ did not disappoint. We did buffet style, serving beef & chicken fajitas with fish tacos, fiesta rice and grilled veggies. My only disappointment was that my wedding planner made my plate for me, as I would have definitely served myself a little more! Another thing of note, the staff was absolutely amazing. My parents even commented that they were so friendly and quickly took care of anything asked of them. Jolie herself ended up running point on the day of our wedding and I could not have been more pleased with how smoothly everything ran. I barely even noticed the staff as they worked so efficiently and cleared the tables so quickly after people were finished eating. Food was hot and delicious. Bartenders provided did have a bit of a heavy hand I heard! The specialty cocktails they created helped move the line quickly and I barely ever saw even a tiny line at the bar. Highly recommend Low Country Quisine and their staff for any event!

The best catering in Dallas, hands down!

If there was a way to give a million stars I would! Jolie and team served up the best wedding food I have ever had -- and no I'm not being biased because it was my wedding! Everyone was raving about the food and the service - especially the mac and cheese which is a must have. There was one minor hiccup with an appetizer, which was not even an issue since I was the only one that knew, but Jolie sent her team back and we were able to have it as a late night bite even though I told her it wasn't necessary. It's that level of going above and beyond for your client that I greatly appreciate. If ever I throw an event in Dallas again, there is no one else I would call.

PS, if you're willing to give up the mac and cheese recipe, it'll be our little secret!

Nothing Short of Amazing

Jolie and her team are warm, professional, and just all around amazing. From a quick tasting appointment change made for me (my son forgot to tell me about an event he had scheduled) to the delicious food prepared for our tasting. They have all inclusive packages and enough selections for your menu to really offer a little of everything. On top of all of that they just made sure we had a great time. They were our first tasting and because of the value, quality, and kindness, will be our last. I can hardly wait for our wedding. I’m sure our guests will love everything about their dining experience.

Everything was amazing! The food was fantastic! We had several compliments from our guests on your pimento cheese appetizer, the macaroni and cheese and they loved having different sauce options for the chicken! Your team was incredible. My husband and I were frantically running around and they always made sure we had some sort of drink in our hands whether it was water or beer! It was so nice to have someone take care of us like that. Your staff also did an excellent job with being on time, they were very professional, and cleaned up quickly. We are so grateful for the hard work you all put in for our perfect day!

It gives me great pleasure to leave a raving review for Chef Jolie and Low Country Quisine! Let me start by saying - I can be very particular about what I want and don't want - let's be honest; I can be downright anal with my high expectations and I had HIGH expectations regarding the food at our big day!

Food: Chef Jolie went over and beyond in capturing our vision of a Nigerian / Soul Food menu and came through with pom poms a waving. Mouth watering melt in your mouth food! Specialty dishes that were vegan and gluten free AND the highlight - she took my Aunts recipe over the phone and recreated amazing jollof rice! #YES

Business: Very professional business. Communication is key and Low Country Quisine does an excellent job of making sure you fully understand your options (based on your vision), as well as cost. No surprises; just impeccable service.

Jolie and her team are wonderful. So friendly and easy to deal with. They are caterers by trade but friends at heart. They never forget the people that they are catering to. They make you feel like family and add extra touches to make you feel special. The food is off the charts amazing! Once we finished our taste testing we called and cancelled all of our other tastings. NOTHING can beat Low Country Quisine. The food is hot, tasty and cooked with love. Having them bring their oven to the venue to cook is that extra ingredient that makes the food taste fresh from the oven. No soggy, tasteless, bland food here! Low Country is a class act and they have the best staff and food to prove it!

From day 1 with our private tasting to the amazing food on our wedding day, Jolie and her team did everything they could to make sure our day was special and exactly how we wanted it! The food was so good and our guests couldn't get enough! They even provided a single vegetarian meal for one of our family members. I was a little worried doing dinner buffet style since we were on a time line but everyone was able to get their food fast and have time to enjoy it. My only complaint would be we had specifically asked if the bartenders would have a tip jar at the bar and we were told no. They ended up having one out at our wedding, but took it down as soon as our day of coordinator brought it to their attention. I would definitely use Low Country Quisine again!

Chef Jolie and her staff are the best! It was important to us that our wedding showcased great food since we are such foodies and she didn't disappoint. Our guests are still talking about her pecan crusted chicken and mac and cheese. Everyone wants a memorable event, whether that's a wedding, birthday, baby shower or corporate lunch and with Low Country Quisine you're getting just that- memorable food, high-quality service and an overall orientation towards excellence. If you are fortunate enough to book Low Country Quisine for your event, you will not be disappointed. Chef Jolie was a pleasure to work with. She was always professional and prompt, and even showed us how we could adjust our menu to meet our budget. I actually chose this company because the food is superb. It was like having the comfort of homecooking prepared with a fancy flare. It was not your typical wedding food. My guest gave out compliments as they ate. The portion sizes were so plentiful that we had to move the cake cutting to a later time. The buffet moved smoothly and the servers discreetly cleared plates as our guest finished their meals. The servers also cut our cake, the bartender was so personable with everyone he served, and the hordevours were refilled as needed until the reception doors opened. The thing I was impressed with the most was the teamwork the servers displayed. Not just with their company, but they worked seamlessly with the wedding planner, DJ, and photography to make it the best day for the bride and groom. After the wedding ceremony, we had to move chairs to the reception area. Although it wasn't their job, the servers stopped what they were doing and helped to move the chairs. Low Country Quisine went above and beyond to make our day special and we are so grateful.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Low Country Quisine. Jolie and her staff provided the best tasting wedding food ever along with great, personal, caring service. The took special care of my daughter and her groom, making sure they were fed early, had their favorite drinks on their sweetheart table and sent them with to go meals at the end of the night. The biscuit bar was a fun way to end the evening. Thank you Jolie, Susie and staff!

We had the best experience working with Low Country Quisine! They were extremely professional and responsive prior to our wedding. The entire team was spectacular! Everyone raved about the food and how professional everything looked. Working with Jolie and the team leading up to the wedding was easy and they took a lot of pressure off of us leading up to the event. I got married on 4/15/2017 and Low Country Quisine did a lot for us. They provided both the wedding and grooms cake, catered the reception dinner, bar-tended and provided a nighttime snack. Everything was fantastic! Even a month later, wedding guests are still raving on how delicious the food was. I highly recommend them!!!

This vendor was amazing and the food is delicious. Chef Jolie is very personable and friendly. We got so many compliments on the food. They are willing to work with you to change up whatever recipes you desire or whatever allergies people have from nuts to gluten free even for specific members of the party or wedding. They tailor the experience for each couple. I can't recommend Low Country Quisine enough! They also make sure the wedding couple get to have the appetizers even with all the picture taking during cocktail hour. The appetizers were my favorite part!

The best advice I an offer is.... Look no place else. From the very start Jolie displayed par excellent professionalism. The tasting for our wedding was done with the utmost of care and consideration, which showed the understanding of my vision. We engaged Low Country Cuisine for our daughter's wedding 8/2016. We attended an Open House at Low Country Cuisine in the spring and then had a meeting with Jolie to describe the bride's vision for the wedding buffet. Jolie caught her vision and gave details of what she had done for past brides that worked. We agreed on a menu and she followed up with pricing. We even had a sit down meeting with Jolie and the catering manager to go over all of the details three to four weeks prior to the wedding. On the wedding day, the food was terrific and better than expected. The food was hot, very tasty and the servers were experienced with weddings and extraordinarily helpful and polite. After the food was served and clean up was beginning, Jolie checked in with me to make sure everything was right. I was very impressed with Low Country Cuisine and Jolie and would highly recommend to anyone searching for a superior caterer.

Food is amazing. Hands down! Everyone at the wedding was raving over it. I can't count how many times I heard, "This is the best wedding food I've ever had!" Jolie and staff were professional and treated my husband and I like VIP the day of. Jolie was also very accommodating with our budget. She worked with us, creatively, to lower cost when the original quote was too high. My wedding was planned from Chicago so communication and responsiveness were essential to planning all the details and Jolie made that very easy! Honestly, just go for a free tasting at her place, and you will be sold! I am still dreaming about the shrimp and grits!

Jolie and her team were excellent! The professionalism of her staff on our wedding day was excellent, and so great to have at our venue because they were really on top of getting everything set up from our food to little decorations they had. She was so accommodating with the food we wanted as well, my husband has a gluten allergy and she really catered our menu to a customization that not only we enjoyed, but our guests still talk about today! We still have our guests gush about how amazing our food was, and Jolie and her catering were the reason! She is very good at what she does, and it really showed on the day of our wedding!

Jolie's food was a huge hit at our wedding, one month after our wedding and our guests are still talking about her mac 'n' cheese! We chose her because our favorite type of food is homemade southern comfort, and that's exactly what she brought to the table (literally). Our hors d'oeuvres were perfect for our theme: chicken and waffles, tomato soup sliders with grilled cheese for dipping, BLT deviled eggs and crab cakes. We served buffet style with serving stations including: creole fish, sauteed green beans, smoked BBQ brisket, shrimp and grits, and a mac n cheese station where guests could assemble their own dish. We also had Late Night Bites - kobe beef sliders and truffled parmesan french fries. Everything tasted absolutely delicious, I can honestly say there was not a single thing that didn't taste good. Most importantly, our dinner stayed hot and delicious for the entire night. I would highly recommend Low Country Quisine for your southern style wedding or other event. Seriously, if I could give her 10 stars I would!

I cannot sing enough praise for Low Country Quisine! Our wedding buffet food was somehow even more delicious than it was at the tasting, the best event buffet food I've ever had! Jolie also made a delicious plated vegan meal for a couple of our vegan guests, as well as a gluten free meal for one guest. Everyone went crazy over the shrimp and grits during cocktail hour as well! Jolie was a pleasure to work with, and so friendly and accommodating. We bought our own drinks for the bar, and the team put everything together wonderfully.

We are so happy we chose Low Country Quisine! The menu was exactly what we wanted: delicious comfort food. Everything was amazing, but our favorites included the grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters, beef short rib, and Alma's mac and cheese! Jolie also granted our special request for a roasted pig! Several guests went back for seconds.

Jolie was a pleasure to work with. On the day of, she checked in with both of us to make sure everything was going smoothly, and we really appreciated that. We definitely recommend Low Country for any special event!

We used LQC for my step daughter's wedding last night and I couldn't be happier! The food is beyond compare and the staff were friendly, professional, and five stars all the way. I would give them 6 stars if I could! We had the salad, the chicken with the cream sauce, mashed potatoes and the best green beans ever! The little burgers for the cocktail hour were insanely good! Can't wait to go over and have lunch at Low Country soon now that they have in store dining!

Jolie is the consummate professional. As a foodie, her cooking skills are superb and she expects the same perfection from her staff. We were on a tight budget for 280 people. We asked Jolie to serve one of her lower priced menu items - fajitas. During the reception, I specifically selected only beef - can't even begin to tell you how tender, moist and delicious the beef fajitas were! We had lots of compliments on the food - hot, delicious, flavorful, etc. Jolie also helped us with linen, china and glass rental. Everything was delivered without a hitch and in excellent condition. Her staff bused tables, kept all food areas neat and clean and were very gracious to all our guests. I wish I could do it all again! Thanks Jolie!

I was referred to Jolie at Low Country Cuisine by my event planner, and I was so grateful I was!! Jolie was phenomenal southern inspired food, presented an served with the utmost professionalism and class. At my first tasting with her, I expected a Food Network star to Coe out if her kitchen at any minute. The execution of it wedding was flawless, and when our bartender service came up short and refused to serve the champagne--Jolie sent her servers without hesitation, so that the groom and I didn't have any disruption of our reception. She is worth so much more than we paid!! She's worth every penny!

Low Country Cuisine was phenomenal!! Everyone loved the food at the wedding and said it was nothing like wedding food. The shrimp and grits went over spectacularly and even people who didn't think they would like this ended up loving it! Jolie, Susy and team were a dream!! One of the best decisions we made for our wedding!!

Yumm! Delicious and Comprehensive

Let me start by saying this… there were no leftovers. Everyone really enjoyed the food and the staff they provided were professional, attentive and polite. Low Country Quisine really provides an end-to-end service. From food, on-site prep, staff, bartender, cake cutting, servers, cleanup, plates, flatware rentals… everything! I had a couple slip ups in terms of my planning and foresight and they helped to remedy those smoothly and effectively. Things like, only ordering exactly one glass per guest… oops. Jolie and her team were quick to respond and were flexible as we adjusted things like timeline, guest count etc.

Chef Jolie owns the market in DFW when it comes to southern style home cooked cuisine. Eight month later we still have guests mentioning the delicious food!! Our only concern had to do with the service, not food.

Jolie and her team provided the most delicious menu at my wedding. I asked for Southern comfort food, and she delivered! All the guests raved about her awesome shrimp and grits, the gourmet mac and cheese, the chicken and waffles skewers, etc. The Peach Tea was the best peach drink I have ever had! Every piece of food was delicious and served well. Her servers also were great at setting up and tearing down the space. My only compliant was the the sliders were supposed to be served during cocktail hour with the shrimp and grits, but instead were served later in the evening along with the planned late night bite (chicken and waffles). By the time the sliders were served, some of the older guests had started to leave already. We had planned for the sliders to go out during cocktail hour, but for some reason they did not. All in all, I would definitely recommend Jolie and her team for any catering need that you have.

Very helpful with all and any questions i had. All my guest LOVED how good the food was, some even got seconds. Love the fact that they serve the guest and don't let the guest serve themselves with the buffet option.

Jolie and staff were great! They were very accommodating to our changes in guest count, and everyone raved about how good the food was! We would definitely recommend Low Country Cuisine to others.

We learned about Low Country Quisine from Instagram.
The product (food) was amazing at our tasting and so was the staff. We chose everything that we tasted, with the exception of the Chicken and Waffles -- our favorite food pairing, but it wasn't to our liking so we scratched it from our menu. We found another item that we enjoyed. and selected it without tasting because we were told we would have to pay for an additional tasting. We declined and decided to blindly go with a replacement due to our previous experience with the product at our tasting. The staff, specifically Kenisha and Tomekia, were great with working with us on finalizing our menu and making remaining payments. We added an additional entre to accommodate our non-seafood eaters.

THE ISSUES:
We included in our contract, specific details to set to the side 20 of each appetizer (we had 3) for the bridal party and our parents to have once we completed taking pictures. Unfortunately, this did not happen. The staff decided to bring what was left to the bridal suite, the groomsmen and bridesmaids munched on what was given. Our parents and siblings were served select appetizers and not ALL of them, per our contract.
My husband and I did not get to partake in enjoying our food, as it (untouched) was tossed by staff. We HEARD it was phenomenal. Our plates were placed in front of us after entering our reception and did our first dance literally as they sat our food down. We did not receive our food to-go, per our contract, for our room.

We’d hoped our experience would turn out a lot better, even when we attempted to address it with the owner and her staff member responsible for personnel - we were met with “in 10 years we’ve never ha this type of feedback.” They were rather dismissive and asked us not to divulge our experience with others. I cannot in good faith keep such a horrible experience to myself. They did nothing to turn the experience around.
