What didn't go good! She was fantastic! My makeup stayed all day and all night long. It was EXACTLY what I wanted and more. She listened to what I wanted and what I was looking for. I will absolutely be booking her for other events when we have them. I am so thankful I found her. I will referring her to everyone!! -

Carolyn was so good at makeup and so amazing to work with! I had a 2 ceremony wedding so makeup had to start at 6 AM then again at 1 PM(after a face wash). Carolyn was there at 6 ready to go, she got me looking and feeling amazing and on time! Carolyn also took great feedback from my trial when we had slightly different ideas for the look. Carolyn is a professional, kind, amazing artist - hire her! -

Wedding makeup
Carolyn was so amazing, she traveled too be both times with no hesitation, a really reasonable priced, she was so accomodating and made me felt the most comfortable I could, once I changed my makeup look about 4 times she was more than happy and understanding ! Would definitely recommend her too anyone -

Fantastic Services
Carolyn was great! She was so flexible with changing dates and keeping up with regulations. She listened to what I wanted and worked steadily in stages so the makeup wasn't too heavy, but could be built upon if I wanted more. I don't wear makeup often and when I do it's very simple. She was able to tweak what I wanted, match my skin tone perfectly, and make my hubby's jaw drop with both the practice session and my wedding. Even though I asked her to travel, she was more than willing and great with her responses! I'd definitely recommend her to anyone! -

I was so surprised by the affordability and the quality she provided. Truthfully, I would've paid 2-3x what she charged. She was responsive, listened to my opinions, and exceptionally talented. Highly recommend! -

Awesome!!!!
Carolyn was able to my make up for my wedding last minute. Even though I found her a week before my wedding, she was able to do a trial run. She took the inspirational pictures I sent and incorporated elements from all of them to give me the perfect look. She really did a great job and made me feel and look like a bride. My fiancé doesn’t like a lot of make up and he loves the look - it looked so natural. -

Hired Carolyn Lovely to do makeup for a professional photo shoot and could not have been happier with get professionalism, knowledge and makeup artistry. On time and prepared for anything, very clean and just a joy! She's so upbeat and calm you can't help but feel more relaxed and calm with her on your team for any event. Wish I could have this talent woman do my makeup everyday and I will definitely hire her again -

My MOH and I hired Carolyn as our makeup artist for my wedding this past weekend. The trial went great and I was very excited to have her do my makeup. Come the day of the wedding, 15 minutes after she was supposed to arrive, I get a text from her asking to resend the location as she thought she was in the wrong place. I then get a call from my planner saying that Carolyn went to Port Gamble when my wedding was in Monroe. The complete opposite direction. She apologized to my MOH and said that she never got the change of address for the wedding when there never was one. The venue had always been the same, and not only did she get the location from us when my MOH first contacted her, but she also got it from us during the trial, as well as from my planner the couple weeks before the wedding so I am really not sure why she thought there was a location change. She did refund my MOH all her money back so we are thankful for that. Just incredibly disappointed in how this played out as I then had to scramble to figure out a couple hours before the start of our photos, how to get my makeup done when I didn't bring any of my own as I was expecting it to be done by her. She never apologized to me, just to my MOH.Lovely Makeup Artistry's reply:
Hi Sabrina,
Thank you for the honest feedback. I am genuinely sorry and did everything I could day of to try and get an artist out there for you. I am sorry for not reaching out to you directly to apologize, I just thought that may add more even more stress. I showed up to Port Gamble and started setting up at 11am because that was that was what was in my notes and could not find any other address you or the MOH had sent me. After 15 minutes I realized I may be in the wrong spot and that’s when I reached out to you and the day of coordinator. If memory serves correctly that was the original location when you first contacted me last year and we briefly talked about the location changing at the trial. That was months before the wedding and do not have any record of us talking about a location after that. I again apologize that this happened and will take this as a learning opportunity. Know that I and taking this to heart and am genuinely sorry. I will also be making changes to my business practices to insure that this never happens again. For example, I will no longer be taking appointments or discussing details in person or over the phone without immediate follow up. I will also be implementing mandatory contracts and day before follow ups with no exceptions. I hope you still had amazing wedding in spite of this and genuinely wish you all the best.
