Found my dream dress on the first go!

I booked a first appointment with Lovely Bride because they offered a wide selection of designers within my budget range and I thought it would be less overwhelming than going somewhere like Kleinfeld's since I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted yet. I never expected to find my dress on my first appointment but the dress I picked ended up being number 5 of 8 that I tried on that day. My stylist Jillian was the absolute best. She was so incredibly helpful in narrowing down what it was I wanted (having gone in with a very open mind and very few requirements). I would never have picked my dress out on my own but Jillian really understood my style and could glean how I felt just by the initial look on my face after putting a dress on! She was also so good at getting me to describe what I did or did not like about a look and was really supportive throughout the whole process. I later went back for a separate accessories appointment and she helped me pick out a veil to complete the look.

The rooms were spacious and private, you're not on an open floor with other brides until you want to walk out and see yourself in the atrium which had amazing lighting, but even then there was only ever one other bride out there with me at a time and it never felt overwhelming. If you're expecting robes and champagne, etc. you won't find that here, but I also was looking for something more low-key and less stressful as a first time try-on experience so that didn't bother me at all. Plus the appointment fee was only $25 (applied to your dress if you get it) whereas most other places I looked at were $50+.

The dress came in a timely manner and as described (note you can't try it on in store when it arrives but they do let you inspect it in case you have any concerns. Since I got my dress so early, it would've been pointless to try it on in store plus without alterations it didn't fit right anyway). They didn't try to upsell me in getting split sizing or anything like that and were very transparent about add-on pricing. I did end up getting the $80 garment bag they offered when I picked up the dress but only because I had a destination wedding so I would've needed a garment bag anyway and this one was so cute and such a convenience to have.

Lastly, they don't do alterations in the shop but give you a few recommendations and when I emailed after the wedding to ask for suggested dry cleaners who took wedding dresses, they responded promptly despite the fact I had bought my dress from them months ago with the cleaner I ultimately went with as well :) Overall, amazing service and made my dress shopping experience such a breeze!

For the Modern Bride

I purchased my dress and veil from Lovely Bride which were both amazing experiences. The boutique is clean and such a quaint place for all those brides looking for something different. I personally was not about a traditional bridal store. I liked how Lovely Bride offered an online portal for clients. In this portal I was able to select the dresses I wanted to try on prior to my appointment. It allowed me to choose my budget ahead of time without feeling pressured in the store. Also, I was trying on dresses from designers that I saw on places like Pinterest and Instagram. In todays day in age not all traditional bridal stores can keep up with the new designers advertising on social media. Some didn't ever carry the designers I tried on at Lovely. The staff was knowledgable, sweet, and didn't make me feel pressured during my appointment. I recommend Lovely Bride to all of my soon to be bride friends!

A Breath of Fresh Air!

I had the most incredible experience at Lovely Bride and cannot recommend them enough! From the moment I walked in, all of the girls who work there greeted me with warmth and kindness. They made me feel like a friend and treated me with the utmost care and attention!

This is the place to go if you're looking for a wedding dress! They carry some of the most unique and beautiful dresses, and the girls who work there are absolutely amazing! Thank you, Lovely Bride, for making my wedding dress shopping experience so incredible!

10/10 Recommend Lovely Bride (especially Jess!)

I found my wedding dress yesterday at Lovely Bride and had such an amazing experience! When I first walked in, I'll be honest, it was a little intimidating. There were a ton of women waiting and it didn't seem like I'd get a private experience (I'd only had one other appointment where the small store closed for my appointment). However, as soon as the sales associate, Jess, took us back to the area I'd try on the dresses I felt comfortable. Jess made the entire process amazing!! She completely understood my style, but also allowed me to try on dresses I might not have chosen so that I could rule them out. She gave just enough input, but didn't force her opinions. At my previous appointment, I felt very uncomfortable with many of the sales associates surrounding me telling me how great I looked in a very sales-y and unauthentic way. I felt even more uncomfortable since I didn't feel beautiful and knew they were just trying to make a sale. Jess felt less like a saleswoman and more like a friend who wanted me to make my own decision, but gave just the right amount of advice. The first boutique we went to made us feel pressured to making a decision right away, but Jess was able to book us an appointment on the same day for a few hours later so we could leave, have lunch and discuss. When we returned, she had been placed with another bride but was so sweet and made sure to stop by and congratulate us! Overall, I highly recommend shopping at Lovely Bride (especially with Jess). I'll also add that the wedding dresses were half the cost of the dresses we had seen elsewhere. Such a bonus!

Found a dress I love here!

I LOVED dress shopping at Lovely Bride and purchased a gorgeous dress here! I really liked how this store doesn’t overload you with a million options. We had Theresa as our consultant, and she got us closer and closer to a winner with every dress. She was so incredibly good at asking specific questions to find out what components of the dress were working and not working, and the dress I ultimately picked combined so many little elements that I loved. The process was easy and relaxed, not rushed, and felt very personalized and private. I would say that Lovely Bride will be most useful for you if you’ve had a few appointments already and sort of know your preferences, it is not an ideal place for trying on a ton of different options as a first pass. But once you’re ready to find the right one and make a decision, this store is perfect. The dress arrived right on time with what they estimated and was packaged neatly. I would highly recommend you try Lovely Bride for wedding dress shopping!!

The perfect bridal shop

Ever since I got engaged, I had my eye on Lovely Bride and I am SO glad I found my wedding dress here! They have the most beautiful designers from around the world. My dress was the Eames dress from Chosen by One Day and I felt absolutely radiant in it. From start to finish, it was so easy to communicate with the staff and they were available to address any questions I had about my dress, tailors, and the cleaning process. It was easy to make an appointment online and they made the experience of choosing my dress feel so personalized and special. They were flexible, understanding, and very professional throughout. A very special Experience

My experience at Lovely Bride NYC exceeded my expectation thanks to my consultant Heather. Heather was extremely attentive and personable. With very vague descriptions (on my part) she was able to pull dresses that were exactly what I envisioned myself in. Which, inevitably led to my crying in a dress moment. It is consultants like Heather that take an overwhelming experience and turn them into a very special moment.

Obsessed & looked great

Lovely Bride was recommended to me by a friend & I’m so happy that I listened! Lovely had such a beautiful collection of wedding dresses. Their stylist were attentive and never pushy. I found my dress at Lovely in 2019 for my original wedding in 2020 but due to COVID had to postpone. The dress still fit even after we postponed. I received so many compliments! I felt amazing in the dress. It was comfortable and easy to dance in. I also got my accessories such as my veil and head piece at Lovely. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to get my dress at Lovely!

Stress-free and Excellent Experience!

wonderful and stress-free experience at Lovely Bride. The process begins before your day trying on gowns. I made a wish-list of dresses I like from the website, then a week later I had a phone call with my consultant to talk through the gowns, my wedding vision, my body type, ect. I arrived at Lovely Bride for my appointment and my consultant had strategically picked the order of my gowns based on our conversations. I only tried on 5 dresses, which I credit to my consultant being great at her job and the conversations we had before I arrived. I loved the whole process, and thought the pre-try on process made the actual try on day go extremely smooth. Big shout out to Lindsay for being so wonderful to work with, super helpful and making the day be stress free!

PS he store made my mother and I feel very safe with their COVID protocol (masks on, limited appointments, wash hands upon arrival, ect).

Amazing experience

I worked with Hannah at Lovely Bride and it was the best experience. Hannah was so patient and lovely and really listened to me -- when she heard what I wanted, she literally went into the basement to find a dress style from past seasons that she thought would fit my vision -- it honestly was such a touch choice between that dress and the one I ultimately chose, and she was right there the whole time, helping me think through both styles, the veil that would work best right through to the timeline I needed to be on to get the dress altered and delivered on time.

This was the perfect dress experience: no one was pushy or trying to upsell a dress and everyone was so professional and friendly. Highly recommend!

This was the first salon I visited when looking for a wedding dress, and I fell in love with the second dress I tried on. Nikki, my sales associate, was so easy to work and really listened to what I was going for. We tried several dresses, all of which were beautiful, and she was patient the whole time. I visited a few other salons after that appointment, but kept thinking about the Rue de Seine dress I tried on at Lovely, and ultimately chose it for my wedding day. I got so many compliments on that dress - it really was a show stopper and fit perfectly with our rustic / boho theme. This salon is super cute, too, with large dressing rooms that are well designed with thoughtful details, a nice waiting area, and a beautiful area at the back of the salon where you can admire your dress in natural light from their large skylights.

If at all possible, go see Annie at Lovely Bride!

This past weekend I went to Lovely Bride with my mom and sister. Previously, I visited another bridal salon where I was told my body measurements were disproportionate and therefore finding a wedding dress, or really any dress, would be extremely difficult.

Then I met Annie, my bridal consultant at Lovely Bride. She changed my entire experience with finding a wedding gown. Annie reassured me that that prior experience was not what we were going to do, that there was no space for that in her appointment (or really any bridal appointment) and that she would make it her job to ensure I felt confident and beautiful in a gown. And let me tell you, she lived up to that standard.

After pulling a gown after gown that I had on my list, and not finding "the one," Annie suggested I try one more - just one more; a little outside the box of what I was expected. And of course, it was perfect. She knew it, and I knew it immediately.

Ultimately, Annie helped me to find a wedding gown that I feel confident and beautiful in. She also helped reintroduce me to a conversation about body image within the wedding industry and reassured me that there is space for all bodies. If you have the opportunity, I would highly recommend going to Lovely Bride and working with Annie. She is a total delight and I am so deeply grateful for meeting her and working with her. She is a true wedding dress angel.

Gorgeous, unique dresses

Lovely Bride has a stunning collection of unique gowns - and the team there is absolutely excellent! My consultant Ryan was great at listening to what I was looking for while also making spot-on recommendations - one of which I ended up picking as my dress (a beautiful Alexandra Grecco gown). The space is also inviting and fun and doesn't have any sort of wedding factory feeling, which I really appreciated. The one slight downside is that they don't do alterations on site, which meant trekking across the city with my dress, but the place they recommended did an amazing job and overall, the selection Lovely Bride had made this minor inconvenience worth it.

Excellent Experience

I had an ecstatic experience at Lovely Bride. Kelsey was my stylist, and that girl was GOOD. By looking at a few pictures, and talking to me for just a few moments, she knew exactly what I wanted. Not only was the experience extremely fun, we had total success. I got the dress (the first one Kelsey picked out for me, though of course I tried on many others), and a crown and jacket that just match it perfectly. The gowns are really beautiful, and the excellence of my stylist was remarkable. This is where I will send my friends.

“Lovely” is right!

The name says it all! Although I did not find my dress here, I had a wonderful experience at Lovely Bride DC.

First of all, the salon is gorgeous, and you have your own private dressing area with a full-length mirror, so there’s no need to share mirrors with other brides! The staff is also terrific. Everyone I encountered was incredibly kind and helpful, and at no point did I feel any pressure to make a decision or buy a dress. Everything was done at my pace, which made me feel very relaxed.

Also, the dress selection is fantastic. There are a lot of gowns you just don’t see at other salons. I went to a few other places that had a lot of very formal, ball gown-style dresses that felt somewhat outdated. Lovely Bride has a wonderful selection of more modern, boho-chic gowns that fit the style I was looking for.

Again, I had a great experience and can’t recommend them enough.

Had no ideas what I wanted...ended up with my dream

Debra K...my little angel, you made my dress dreams come true.

To start, I am sort of an anti-bride too naturally I was drawn to the designers at Lovely Bride. Full disclosure, I'd already purchased a wedding dress and freaked out after I ordered it. In comes Lovely Bride, I told them my issues with my previous dress. Three appointments later and I was still at a loss despite so much amazing help. And then, like a dream, Debra suggested creating a dress. We scheduled another appointment and we picked out what I liked about different dresses. She got in contact with the designer and BOOM custom dress of my dreams. She was instrumental in being the go between with the designer even when I was probably being insane.

Overall, great stylists, great selection, and they will g above and beyond to make sure you leave with something you love.

A bridal salon must when shopping for your wedding gown

Lovely Bride was the first bridal salon on my list for wedding gown shopping. The boutique is intimate, beautiful and smells wonderful. I brought along my mother and sister with me and we were placed in one of the rooms. The rooms are big enough to fit your group of 3-5 people. And they each have their own large mirror so you have complete privacy. Nkeoma was my stylist and she was amazing. She introduced herself to me and my group, asked questions about my fiance, our wedding and the vibe we were going for. I showed her some photos I had saved and we looked through the racks of dresses while I pointed out what I liked. There wasn't an overload of dresses on the racks, which I appreciated, making it less intimidating. I tried on 5 or 6 gowns and narrowed down to 3 that I liked. Although, I did not end up ordering a dress at Lovely Bride, it was my favorite bridal boutique experience of the 3 locations I ended up visiting. Nkeoma was warm, welcoming, PATIENT (very important) and an overall pleasure to work with. She asked the right questions to help me figure out what I wanted out of my dress. I recommend Lovely Bride to all brides for their special dress.

Busty gals, rejoice!

If you're a plus-sized bride and don't want to wear a muumuu, this shop is THE place to find a dress on the East Coast. I live in Boston and went through countless other shops that had 1-2 total plus size dresses to try on (nothing modern), and others that told me that only a custom dress could fit a 40G chest. After researching brands and deciding that Studio Levana fit my vibe best, I called the company, and it turns out that Lovely Bride is the only shop on the East Coast that stocks their full line of dresses! When I arrived for my (super chill, not at all pushy) appointment, not only did they have dresses IN MY ACTUAL SIZE to try on (none of that "try this 8 or try this 30, we have nothing in between" foolishness at this studio!), I ended up falling in love with a completely different plus size line that they happened to have in stock in my size as well! I ended up with the perfect breezy dress for an outdoor apple orchard wedding. Highly, highly recommend this studio if you are (or have been made to think you are) a hard-to-fit bride.

I bought my wedding dress from Lovely Bride and every step was amazing! My initial appointment was everything I had hoped- I did not feel rushed or pressured to buy a dress. The rooms are spacious and allow for several family members and friends to sit comfortably while you try on dresses! They have a great dress selection at great price points. Once my dress arrived to the store I was able to make an appointment easily to try on my dress and again I was not rushed by any of the staff and was allowed to take my time trying my dress on again! I came back a final time for an accessories appointment which is such a unique and good idea! They put you in your dress at the store and then allow you to try on headpieces, jewelry, and belts to see what would look good together. I ended up also purchasing a headband and earrings from the store. Ivy, the owner, is great and she was so helpful through the entire process. I would definitely recommend this shop to any bride in search of her dress.

The salon is intimate with an exceptional collection of gowns. The staff are warm and helpful. I decided on the Fit and Flare Lace Sierra Dress by Anna Campbell.

It only took half the time they quoted me to receive my gown. The staff communicated quickly by email and referred two top notch seamstresses when I picked it up. Couldn't be happier!

I went to Lovely Bride not expecting to find my wedding dress as it was still early on in my shopping process but little did I know I would find the perfect dress! From first entering Lovely Bride, you can feel the warm energy and excitement that you would expect of a bridal salon. All of the attendants are kind and incredibly helpful in directing you towards dresses that are in your budget and that match the style you described. Hannah helped me with my appointment and it was at her direction that she recommended I try on the dress that ended up being THE ONE. In my opinion, they have styles and prices for all brides and they are frequently having trunk shows which means there is frequently new inventory (and deals). Can't recommend them enough! They do not do alterations but they do have alterers they recommend. Thanks Lovely Bride for a wonderful and stress-free purchasing experience.

When I visited this store, it was only open a couple months, at that point. My experience was great. The consultant working with us was very accommodating and helpful. I only needed to try on 3 dresses to fin "the one".

Lovely Bride is the kind of place you go for the fun of wedding dress shopping. The selection is terrific, especially in the more affordable range; it's not as if there are limited options depending on your budget. Ditto styles and even some colors. The staff is patient and thorough; my associate made sure to check in with me multiple times during trying on gowns, so that she was very cognizant once I was less into certain styles and gravitating more towards others. She ducked back onto the floor multiple times to bring out new gowns, and many of her suggestions made it into my top choices. I *almost* bought my gown here; the only reason I didn't was finding my dream dress, a designer that they have (Leanne Marshall) but didn't stock the specific style of. Had I not gone for that gown, I would have bought my second choice (a Sarah Seven) in a heartbeat. Definitely add Lovely Bride to your list of bridal salons!

I went to try on one dress and end up hating it. The angel who was working with us was super patient and let me try on more dresses than I can remember. At the end of the appointment she led me to a dress I had decided not try on several times. On their urging I finally tried it on and fell in love. The space was cozy and beautiful and the experience was great.

After visiting numerous stores and trying on over 50 dresses, Lovely Bride was the store for me! The staff is incredibly attentive without being aggressive (as I experienced in other L.A. stores) and their well-curated selection of unique dresses is unparalleled.

My stylist, Armida was wonderful - she was there at both of my try-on appointments, and again when my dress came in. She was very helpful in answering all of my questions and made the entire experience a happy one. I highly recommend Lovely Bride to anyone looking for a dress!

I am not a stereotypical bride in that I don't get gushy about dresses, I didn't want a train, I didn't want anyting princessy. I didn't even want champagne or girls ooh-ing and aah-ing over me. I just wanted to find something that was very "me". I ran into an instance at the first store I went to where the bridal consultant gasped in horror when I asked her if they could chop the train off of a dress.

Lovely Bride was different. My consultant got me. She never made me feel like I was wrong or bad or not girly enough. She never pushed me to buy something I didn't want to (e.g., veils). She didn't even push me to try things on - if I hated something on the hanger, that was enough for her. she made me feel warm and fuzzy the entire time - and because of that, I found my dress in like 30 minutes. It was incredible!

I think there are some people who think Lovely Bride may be too kooky for them - it's really not. My style is very sedate, not hipster - I wanted something classic but not over the top. And they had plenty to choose from.

Beautiful showroom and great service. Lovely Bride in Georgetown had such an amazing selection of gowns at all different price points. There is really something for everyone. They were respectful of my budget and the shopping experience was wonderful. I was so happy with me dress!

I purchased my wedding dress here and could not have been more pleased. The stylists take time to understand what you are looking for and don't pressure you to go beyond your budget. I consider myself extremely picky and thought it would take me forever to find a dress. However, Lovely had such a beautiful range of dresses to offer. After listening to what I was looking for, my stylist guided me to various sets of dresses and within minutes I was looking at several dresses that I thought were all an excellent fit for me. I had the luxury of picking which one I loved the most. Everyone I encountered in the shop was friendly and pleasant and my stylist was beyond amazing. I would highly recommend them.

I worked with Lindsey to pick out my perfect dress! It was a 2017 style and they only had one small sample size to try on. Despite the fact that I'm a "plus size" (you can tell I'm bitter about this) bride, she helped me get into the dress and understand how it would look when it was properly sized for me.

I couldn't find the dress anywhere else and was so happy to hear that Lovely carried it to try on! The assistant even talked me out of spending extra for rush shipping when I didn't need it, which I really appreciated. The dress came in early and making an appointment to pick it up was very easy. The consultant was extremely nice and helpful and was always smiling. Great experience here.

Wonderful team and selection! I found my dress at Lovely the first day I looked at dresses, and the process has been smooth and stress-free. When I picked up my dress, I noticed a tiny oddity in the seam that I hadn't noticed before (it was on the sample, but it was so small it's hard to notice) - Ivy immediately suggested a number of options to ensure I was comfortable, including calling the designer! The designer offered an explanation (a tiny notch on the inner seam to allow for a bit of stretch) and worked with Ivy on a couple options to make sure I was 100% happy. In addition to finding my perfect dress, I found wonderful accessories and had a fun, wonderful dress shopping experience.

Great, cozy shop with unique dresses. I came here after visiting 5 other bridal stores looking for my dress. Saved the best for last apparently and fell in love with a Theia dress. It was surprisingly simple but tasteful and classic. It was also the least expensive dress that I had tried on all day. They were having a trunk sale the following week and gave me the tip to come back the following week to get a discount. Great service and great dresses!

I went to 6 different bridal boutiques looking for my wedding dress (3 outside San Francisco). I won't mention the 3 out of town, but instead focus on how Lovely Bride SF is leagues above their other competition here in the city. They have a VERY large selection in a range of styles, from some of the best modern designers. Their staff is friendly, patient, and not pushy. Even if I hadn't bought my dress from them, I would still have good things to say about them.

I feel I should share the story of buying my dress, to further illustrate how great they are: I found "the one" by pure chance, as my appointment at Lovely Bride happened to coincide with a trunk show. As it was very early in my try-on process, I felt uncomfortable pulling the trigger on trunk show day. How amazing and understanding of the owners to work with me after the fact, to get me the trunk show discount at a later date once I realized that dress was the one. (I should also thank the designer, Alexandra Grecco, for approving the late request too!)

Going to Lovely Bride in NYC was a lovely experience. I had been shopping at local bridal salons on Long Island and they didn't carry the style dress I was looking for. Lovely Bride had all the designers I had fallen in love with online and getting to look through their showroom & try them on was a dream. My consultant helped me find the perfect fit for me and allowed me to try on as many as I needed until I found 'the one'. It was a great experience shopping here.

I highly recommend Lovely to women who want unique, interesting dresses at a reasonable price point with a fun and relaxed shopping environment. I cannot recommend Lovely Bride enough. I had been to several other bridal salons (in addition to many visits as a supportive bridesmaid to the bride) and so I can tell you that there is no other experience quite like this. It's an intimate setting with private areas for your group. They have a great size selection with different styles and designers. My bridal consultant Laura was amazing! She listened to my vision and helped pick out dresses that were exactly what I had in mind. I ended up finding the dress of my dreams. When I mentioned my mother was coming into town the upcoming weekend, she opened the shop early so my mom could see me in the dress. This place is called Lovely for a reason! It makes wedding dress shopping so wonderful!

The experience here was unlike any other- simply LOVELY. I was most stressed about picking out my dress but within one hour of being in Lovely I was calling and cancelling the rest of my appointments scheduled for the day. The experience was special but relaxing and very personal. They listen to everything you want and give you a few suggestions of their own if you're stuck. I ended up purchasing a dress that they had chosen for me! And it was half of my budget to boot.

I purchased my Elizabeth Dye "Helena" gown during a trunk show at Lovely Bride, and I can't say enough great things about the experience--from the moment we arrived until I collected my dress months later. The shop itself was charming, with a beautiful selection of dresses. Rebekah was extremely knowledgeable and attentive, and Elizabeth Dye took some measurements to make minor adjustments for my figure. While I was waiting for the dress to arrive, Rebekah sent a swatch of chantilly lace so I could coordinate my accessories, and after the dress arrived, she sent some extra lace for alterations (to address a cleavage issue). These ladies were lovely every step of the way and helped me find a dress that I truly adore. Thank you, thank you!

Picked out my wedding dress last December and they made the entire process stress free and magical. The space is beautiful and so unique, all the staff are super welcoming and knowledgable about the dresses and designers. My dress arrived in a timely manner just as expected and took the dress for alterations to Sew Elegant as recommended by the store. My dress was stunning, I felt so comfortable and got so many compliments. I would highly recommend lovely bridal for the more laid back, bohemian, hippie, beach loving bride. So many beautiful dresses and designers and you are not rushed or pressured like many big box wedding stores.

I absolutely LOVED my experience with Lovely Bride (NYC)!! Mariah was awesome, laid back and super, super helpful. She was a wonderful listener and made me feel very comfortable. She even made it a fun experience for my two friends I brought. It was also really great that she was respectful of my budget. When we started the appointment I was able to go through the store and pick out some dresses that I was interested in trying on. Mariah also picked out some that great options. I never felt pressured into buying anything and I loved that she gave me privacy to figure out what I wanted to do. I ended up buying the first dress I tried on but it was still great to try on the others to see what else was out there.

There is a large selection for all price points. I suppose the only negative is that once you buy a dress you will have to get it altered somewhere else. Not a huge deal. They did give me two recommendations for that. I highly recommend this super cute store for any future brides!

Had an amazing experience picking out my wedding dress at Lovely Bride. The interior is very cute and fun, the perfect setting for my female relatives and I to look at gowns. Most importantly, the bridal salon allows you to RSVP for your party's size, so we everyone had a seat. Terry was my stylist and she was quite talented. She picked out the gown that became my wedding dress. She had such a good eye for selecting dresses that complimented my body while keeping in mind the style of my wedding. I was having trouble picturing what veil would work with my new gown and within seconds she found the perfect veil. I can't say enough good things about Lovely Bride and highly recommend it to anyone looking for gowns in NYC.

This is such a fun hidden gem! When I walked in, it immediately reminded me of an Etsy shop. They have beautiful decorations and inspirational prints hanging and stunning dresses for such great prices! We were in and out of there in an hour and had a dress and earrings that were absolutely perfect for our wedding day!

I traveled from VA Beach to NYC for my Katie May gown. Indigo was an exceptional consultant! She was so helpful & professional.I told her precisely what I wanted, and she led me straight to it! My dress hasn't arrived yet, but I sure am looking forward to its arrival! I'd recommend this boutique to anyone looking for beautiful gowns at a reasonable price! I am beyond grateful for the care and kindness I recieved while trying on wedding dresses. As someone who has never really thought about marriage or weddings, the idea of picking out a dress was totally overwhelming. I just knew that I wanted something flowy and romantic, not structured and voluminous. Lovely Bride was the first place I saw that fit that criteria. Their choice of dresses and designers was amazing! I really love the fact that they also represent some new, smaller designers who are just getting off the ground. The dresses they had were stunning!
From the moment I walked in, the women who I worked with were down to earth, honest, and totally professional. They listened attentively to what I wanted and helped me to fill in the gaps where my nervousness came in.
When it came to deciding between dresses, they gave me wonderful advice and bits of wisdom, without ever pushing me in one direction or another....
When I came back a second time to try on the dress I had previously fell in love with, and to look at a few more options, they were equally as supportive and attentive. I eventually found a different dress that was 'THE' dress, and I couldn't be more thrilled!! Not only that, but it felt like they were as thrilled as I was, not because of a sale or commission, but it felt like they were happy FOR me and the joy I was feeling :)
When I left and realized I had forgotten to ask them a couple of questions, I emailed them late that night and they got back to me by the next morning, with Joy and reassurance.
The women at Lovely feel like a supportive sisterhood, and I am so thrilled to have had the experience I did there. I wouldn't have wanted it to be any other way!

I just want to say thank you from my heart, for helping me to embrace the joy and excitement that comes with a wedding. And for making me feel special and beautiful and cared for! <3

I loved Lovely Bride so much that I almost didn't want to tell them I was buying their dress, just so I could come back and try on more! They had TONS of options in my price range (under $1,500) and TONS that matched the style I wanted ("offbeat"). But I also noticed the bride in the fitting room next to me was going for a much more traditional, romantic look, and she was finding lots of dresses in her style too, so there's definitely something for everyone here. The shop itself is adorable and the staff were all super sweet. They seemed to be just as excited about the dresses as all the brides-to-be. I liked that they let you look at dresses on the rack and would also use their knowledge to bring you ones you may have overlooked. It was a combination of the best of both methods. My dress (by Watters Too) was part of a trunk show, so I got it under budget (about $1,200 before tax), though I did have to pay an extra $300 to have the bust made bigger and the neckline brought up, since I have a small waist but quite large chest. Since Lovely Bride doesn't do alterations in-house, I used the seamstress they recommended and she was AMAZING. A little pricey, but so worth the cost. Thanks to the expanded bust, though, it barely needed any alterations. My only complaint is how hard it is to get an appointment! You have to sign up online WELL ahead of time, at least a month if you have a specific date and time in mind. Now that my sister is engaged, I'm trying to get her to shop here too so I can go back!

In trying to maintain a specific budget as I would rather spend more thousands on a down payment than a one wear dress, I was somewhat scoffed at while visiting one salon. At Lovely, Jacqueline, our coordinator, had a ton to work with at the range. Not only that, but she listened to me as to what I was looking for and the style I wanted to achieve.

The store is split up into smaller, cutesy cubicle-like spaces where you have your own privacy. After trying on quite a few gowns, there were 2 main contenders, so I tried them back on again. Then, I found THE dress, by designer Elizabeth Dye in Portland, Oregon. The dress was right in budget, it fit all of the requirements I was looking for, and it was comfortable!!

Once the dress is ordered, they will call you when it has arrived. You get to try it on and so long as it's good to go, you take it with you. They do not have tailoring on site, but recommend two places. I brought mine to Slate NYC in the Meatpacking district and they were good.

Thanks to all of the ladies and gents at Lovely for making it such an all around great experience! I had so many true compliments on my dress. It was such a great fit for my personality and my venue.

Lovely Bride was the third or fourth shop I visited when I was hunting for a wedding gown. As soon as my bridesmaids and I walked in we could tell this was not your typical wedding gown store. They put a lot of care into how things are presented - from the comfortable and shabby chic waiting area to the floral curtained fitting rooms. The boutique has a range of dresses for a variety of budgets, but not so many dresses that you are overwhelmed. The dresses and accessories look like they were all carefully selected and none of them look like your typical, generic wedding gown that you can find at any bridal store.

Our sales associate was Downs, who took my vague description of the type of dress I wanted and essentially read my mind. He ended up being the one to select the gown that I would go on to choose for my big day. It was an elegant tulle number from Theia that was not overly ornate, but contained lots of detailed ruching and floated around me romantically as I walked. My bridesmaids were all astounded by how beautiful this dress was. A few days later after some deliberation, I called back to order the dress. I was in love not only with my gown but with my whole experience at Lovely Bride.

I got my Sarah Seven wedding dress from Lovely Bride and nothing but great things to say about this store. The girls that work there, especially the manager Rebekah, are so sweet and make you feel so special. The store is cute and intimate yet has a wide range of dresses to try and lots of accessories. They made wedding dress shopping such a treasured experience for my and my family and bridesmaids. I would highly recommend this store to all future brides!

The employees at Lovely Bride are the best. After having a bad experience somewhere else, I was worried about finding a dress I liked and was being to think the process was too stressful. All of that changed when I went to Lovely Bride. The environment is calm and stress-free. It is a smaller boutique store, and very manageable with a lot of non-traditional options in addition to what you would expect. All of the employees are sweet and helpful and great at what they do. I had no idea what I wanted, but they brought me a few different things and quickly caught on to my style and what looked good. I found the perfect dress in about 45 minutes and was really happy. I can't say enough about this store-- and the people that truly make the experience special as it should be.

The girls at Lovely Bride are wonderful. I came in the first time by myself to try and figure out what I liked (before bringing my family into the mix). The woman who helped me, Taylor, was so nice, so helpful, even offering to take pictures of me on my phone in the dresses I liked so that I could reference them while I considered my options - simply unheard of at other salons. There was no pressure put on me to buy anything that day, in fact, she told me there was a trunk sale in July for the designer I was interested in, so either way I should come back then to buy my dress. What?! So freaking awesome. Seriously go there.

I purchased my beautiful Carol Hannah gown at Lovely Bride NYC. Lovely provided the ideal shopping experience. My appointment started with a one-on-one consultation with a stylist who walked me through each of the designers in the store. She made recommendations based on the information I had provided, but she also allowed me to pull gowns that caught my eye.

The best part of Lovely is that the stylists really know fashion, clothing, gowns and fit. I never would have dreamed that I could wear the gown I chose. My stylist insisted that I should try it on and that it would look perfect on my body shape. I'm so grateful she pulled it for me. I (and my mom and sister) had the "this is it" moment as soon as I put it on.... months later, when I picked up me finished gown, I was still in love with the dress and with the Lovely team. They are so friendly and welcoming!

I have to say,this is probably one of the cutest little bridal places in the Tribeca. It’s definitely not what you what you would have in your mind when you think “ Wedding or Bridal” store but its kind of breath of fresh air. After walking through and looking through a few racks of gowns, I made a few initial selections of gowns that caught my eye, we ( my mother and I) were then taken to a dressing room had beautiful natural light and was very quaint, cute and is pretty much adorable.It was very relaxed and the sales people were so non pushy not aggressive and completely helpful.

Adorable store, great dresses! My wedding was themed, rustic, French Country...I wanted lace. This store has so many choices. Another reviewer said the Anthropologie of Wedding Dress stores...so true.

Fabulous service and professionalism. The ladies here are not pushy and try to upsell on unnecessary accessories or tailoring. Although they do not have a seamstress on location they were able to recommend someone great nearby.

If you are looking for a modern bridal salon that is cozy, stylish, and unique then Lovely Bride in NYC is the place you have to go. Initially I scheduled an appointment to try on one specific dress. Luckily, the stylist convinced me to try on a few dresses, which is how I found my wedding gown designed by Leanne Marshall and veil designed by Erica Koesler.

The staff at Lovely Bride were extremely professional and thorough during my first appointment. They made me feel very special and did a great job helping me with my wedding dress. I recommend that if you pick up your dress and have an issue with it that you make sure to address the issue right then and there and also make sure to speak to a manager. I had a few questions about my dress which were answered by the stylist that was helping me during my appointment roughly 6 months before my wedding. I trusted her opinion but unfortunately I was told inaccurate information that was discovered about 2 months before my wedding during alterations. It took multiple emails, phone calls, and more $$ to get everything sorted out. At the end of the day, the staff at Lovely Bride did a great job contacting the designer and did their best to resolve the issue in a timely fashion.

I highly recommend checking out Lovely Bride on your search for the perfect gown. The Staff at Lovely Bride are receptive and open to feedback so make sure you speak up if you have a issue and check to make sure the information is accurate. I HIGHLY recommend Lovely Bride for anyone looking for a special wedding dress experience.

I had rather special circumstances- I was 4os pregnant, ordering a dress fora wedding 2 months after the birth of my baby. lThe staff at Lovely did everything possible to get the best fit for me, considering we wouldn't know exactly what would happen with my figure. I so happy with their service.

I loved the quirky location of this bridal salon in the West Village. (I know they're moving but I'm sure the new space will be even better.) The staff was wonderful and I found the perfect dress for me. When it was a couple of days delayed they were super-accommodating to make sure I was able to pick it up as soon as it came in. I purchased my Watters gown from Lovely Bridal. The shop is located in the West Village, in a cute brownstone and features mostly very romantic-style gowns, which is what I was looking for! Originally, I met with the saleswoman named Katie. I had the gown I was looking for in mind before I got there, but she gave me plenty of space to browse the other dresses they had available. It was a very comfortable setting (much more comfortable than the larger stores in nyc) and I had a perfect experience with my Mom/Maid of Honor. A Watters trunk show was coming up the following week and they honored the trunk show price, which was great!! I would definitely recommend this shop to nyc brides.

This was the first shop where I tried on dresses, and I ended up returning to purchase the one that nothing else compared to. The staff is friendly, definitely take time to listen to your preferences, and are totally open to anything you'd like to see. Although other groups are obviously there too, they set you up in your own area, so you're the only one looking in the mirror. There were other shops that I went to when another girl was trying on dresses, looking in the same mirror, and it just made for an awkward experience!

Booking appointments was so easy, and everything has gone really smoothly. I picked up my dress last week, and I love it! They called and emailed when it arrived. I know it would be easier if alterations were done on the premises, but at least the bride who orders her dress there isn't pressured into alterations at any particular place. Go check it out, girls!

I purchased my dress at Lovely and had a wonderful experience. The consultants really take their time and make you feel special, unlike other salons I visited in NYC (Kleinfeld, RK Bridal, etc.). Only about 5 brides maximum can have appointments at the same time, so you definitely get the attention you deserve. The shop is on a quaint block in the West Village, and the cute vibe is carried into the store. The dress selection is curated (I.e. not a ton to choose from but that's not a bad thing), and will definitely appeal to anyone with an indie/ hipster/modern sensibility. The other plus is the price range- I don't think there were many gowns over $5,000, whereas other salons start at that price and go up from there. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful experience at Lovely. It was my first and only appointment. Their dresses are unique, beautiful and affordable. My consultant was very sweet and helpful. I tried on dresses that I thought I would love and would look good with my shape, but none of them felt right. In the last 10 minutes, she recommended a dress that I would never have picked for myself, and it was perfect! I bought it that day. She also did not show me any dresses that were over my budget. They do not provide on-site alterations, but they do have several seamstresses that they recommend at various price ranges. My family lives in NJ, so I decided to have the dress shipped to their house and will find somewhere closer to do the alterations. It arrived perfect and beautifully packaged. Lovely is a great place to go if you're looking for an easy dress shopping experience. Highly recommend!

the ladies at lovely are absolutely LOVELY and fabulous! this shop was my first appointment, and i was nervous and didn't know what to expect. i fell in love with the shop and the girls and was so delighted to be there! i picked lovely because they carry elizabeth dye, who is a special designer to me. i used to work across the street from her shop, the english dept, in portland and have been in love with all of her work for years. on the first day we met in person (we had been introduced by friends via facebook, as he lived in california and i in portland), we had a kiss fest across the street from the english dept!

walking into the shop was magical. my friend and i jumped right in and started looking at dresses and the first dress i went to was elizabeth dye's tea/blush. i picked a few others that i liked and started trying them on. the first two were gorgeous, but it wasn't until i tried on tea/blush that i knew, this was my dress!! whitney was so sweet and supportive and let me try it on twice. i am so glad that i found my dress here. the girls are so personable and friendly, very down to earth. the shop is gorgeous. plush chairs, decadent fabrics, nice smelling lotion in the wash room. i could not have asked for a better experience! this shop is also in a cute part of weho and is just back far enough from the craziness that it feels like a different world.

I cannot even begin to express my appreciation for Merrill of Lovely Bride in LA and Katherine from Ivy and Aster! I was SO lucky to be able to work with both girls before my wedding. I was in a crazy situation, I had purchased a dress, but after alterations were made, I realized it just didn't fit my personality. Thus, bride without a dress = time to panic! Little did I know that there was no need to panic because everything would work out just the way it was supposed to in the end. ;)

Initially, I was so stressed about finding a dress that would photograph well, or that my friends would like, and that my new husband would love that I forgot I needed to feel beautiful and confident in my dress too. Important, right?! ;) So, with less than 3 months to go, I started looking for a dress that would make me fall in love. I LOVED Ivy and Aster gowns and contacted Katherine who found the dress of my dreams and shipped it to Merrill at Lovely Bride in LA.

Lovely Bride is TOTALLY my style! So sweet yet elegant, extremely feminine, and seriously LOVELY! The store atmosphere just exudes grace and beauty. Merrill, the store manager, greeted me with a huge smile when I arrived, and she was so excited to be able to help! She knew my situation and I could tell she truly cared and wanted to get me the dress of my dreams. Merrill helped me try on my dress and even though I was there to try on one specific dress, the Ivy and Aster Poetry gown, she also helped me try on two Sarah Seven gowns, that were just gorgeous too. It was good to be able to see myself in several gowns that I loved. However, there was no question. As soon as I put on the Ivy and Aster gown, I knew it was the one. I didn't feel any pressure from Merrill to buy the gown, she really just wanted to see me happy. She understands what it's like to be a bride and the importance of finding the right dress. Merrill also took the time to communicate with me via email to make sure I was okay. When I needed alterations, I also went to Merrill for guidance because I wanted to be sure everything was perfect for the big day.

I had an amazing experience and I would recommend Lovely to any bride-to-be. They go above and beyond what is expected to ensure you are truly happy! :) Going to Lovely for my Ivy and Aster gown was one of the best decisions I made for the big day! Finding the perfect dress just puts your mind at ease and everything else falls right into place!!! Good luck girls! Go get that perfect dress! ;) And thank you, Merrill! You rock! :)

This is the most amazing bridal store. It is THE store for the non-cookie-cutter bride, the bride who doesn't dream of yards of beaded silk satin or the bride who wants a short dress. Lovely has a great selection of beautiful dresses of lots of different styles. The consultants are all young, hip and super friendly. They would not allow me to look at anything outside my budget. The space itself is a stylish brownstone that you just want to move right in to. I found my perfect fun dress there and stayed well under budget. I received so many compliments on my dress and its unique look. I have told every bride-to-be I know about this store. The one thing that might be an issue for others - they do NOT provide in-house tailoring but DO provide excellent recommendations for tailors.

Before I had any idea what I wanted in a wedding dress, I knew I wanted to buy it at Lovely. Dress shopping at Levely was such an easy and comfortable experience, even while I was overwhelmed with every other aspect of planning my wedding. When I didn't find a dress I loved on my first trip, I ended up buying a dress somewhere else, but didn't stop checking in with changes and additions to Lovely... and then Ivy & Astor was introduced, and I knew I would be back. Luckily I was able to return the first dress I bought, and couldn't have been happier with my decision!

As a lifelong tomboy, I had no idea what I was looking for when I began dress shopping, but I walked out of Lovely knowing 100% without a doubt that I had found the dress for me. The girls at Lovely could not have been (for lack of a better word) lovelier. It took me 3 visits before I was able to commit fully (big decision!), but I never felt pressured in the slightest. I even returned for my veil and hair accessories. I visited several dress shops throughout the shopping process, and Lovely was without a doubt the coziest, warmest, most FUN experience of them all.

While most brides begin looking for a gown a year in advance, we planned a last minute wedding so I needed a gown in 3 months. Lovely was able to find a vendor to accommodate me. But I by no means settled. My gown was a beautiful Grecian gown by Ivy & Aster and I am still in love with it.

Lovely is a wonderful shop. Its very charming, not overwhelming. The staff is helpful, sweet, yet professional. I love the designers they carry.

I would recommend them to any bride.

As corny as it sounds, buying a dress at Lovely Bridal Shop was a lovely experience. The store is very cute and low-key with a happy vibe. The staff were so nice and I didn't feel pressured to buy a dress. They were very patient and offered suggestions for other dresses and accessories. Lovely was the first place I went, after finding them through NYMag, and after going to one other store I just knew I wanted a dress from Lovely. It is small so not the largest selection, but the experience was great and I loved my wedding dress. And although they don't do alterations in-house, their recommendation to go to Esin and Sew Elegant was great and she did a fabulous job tweaking the dress.

I flew in from Singapore to NY for 3 days to buy a wedding dress for my Bahamas wedding. This was the first wedding shop I went to in NY. I knew the moment I walked in that I would be able to find something I liked. I loved the 5th dress I tried on and they were able to pull some strings for me so that I was able to bring the dress home with me the same day.

I worked with Ryan. He immediately picked up on what kinds of dresses I liked and what my style was. After hearing my feedback on a few dresses I picked, he suggested a dress from Made with Love. It was a great suggestion and I decided to go with it. I got so many compliments on my dress who said they loved how unique it was and not like typical dresses.
