Stephanie was our officiant from Love & Wisdom and she was AMAZING!! We had a meeting and went over our love story and she created two totally customized ceremonies for us to choose from! She even took the curveball we threw at her - we wanted to take a shot at the end of our ceremony (that's how we met) and she made it one of our favorite parts of the whole day! Definitely recommend if you are looking for a personalized ceremony. -

Love & Wisdom created a beautiful experience for our wedding ceremony. Our officiant, Philip Lingle, got to know us personally and tailored the ceremony based on these interactions. We found these processes deeply meaningful and knew that L&W understood us and what we wanted for our wedding. Even after the wedding, Philip has helped us greatly by submitting our marriage application for us, providing resources for changing surnames, among other helpful favors.
The entire L&W team, did an excellent job of creating a beautiful wedding ceremony. Philip personally supported us from beginning to end and was always available for discussion or last-minute changes. We greatly appreciate what Philip and L&W did for our wedding. -

Working with Love & Wisdom was one of the best choices I made in my wedding planning process. Our officiant, Philip Lingle, is absolutely brilliant. He asked all the right questions to get to know us, and when I read the ceremony he wrote for us, I knew he truly understood our vision. When our wedding day arrived, his presentation of the ceremony couldn't have been more perfect. I received countless compliments from guests, both on the contents of the ceremony and on Philip's skill as an officiant. I am extremely grateful to Love & Wisdom and to Philip for the significant role they played in making my wedding day even more beautiful and meaningful than I dreamed it would be. -

Philip and his team were always highly responsive. They were the perfect firm to handle the role of Officiant for our wedding at the Biltmore Estate. Philip always maintained a relaxed, professional disposition and exhibited empathy and a great sense of humor.
He was very prompt at our ceremony and our guests greatly appreciated his sincerity and warm delivery.
We cannot recommend them enough- no reason to look elsewhere if you are seeking a phenomenal officiant in NC. -

Wow—Philip Lingle and the Love & Wisdom team are truly unmatched. Initially, we were hesitant about using an officiant we didn’t know personally, but that hesitation quickly turned into immense gratitude. Love & Wisdom is, without a doubt, the best officiant service out there—professional, kind, thoughtful, responsive, and incredibly considerate from start to finish.
When we first reached out to Philip, he offered to meet us for a drink so we could get to know each other. Since we live out of town, scheduling was a bit tricky on our end, but Philip was incredibly flexible. Despite dealing with a family emergency that day, he still made it work, which speaks volumes about his dedication.
By the time the rehearsal and wedding day arrived, we couldn’t have been prouder of our decision to hire him. Our friends and family kept raving about how structured, professional, and engaging he was. The ceremony itself felt like something out of a movie—we’re still in awe! Philip’s delivery was impeccable, striking the perfect balance between sentimental and lighthearted, exactly as we had envisioned. He customized every aspect of the ceremony to reflect our story, and even though we hadn’t met him before, he made it feel like he had known us forever.
We cannot recommend Philip Lingle and the Love & Wisdom team enough. If you want an officiant who will bring your wedding ceremony dreams to life, look no further. We loved having Philip Lingle for our officiant on our wedding day! He knew exactly how to tailor the ceremony to just what we wanted. It felt like we knew him for many years. We hired Love & Wisdom for our wedding on Dec. 7th and would recommend them to everyone. We loved the pre-marital questionnaires they sent us at the beginning. My husband and I had such a fun time doing them together. We originally had our wedding scheduled for October 25th. Due to Hurrican Helene this was canceled and moved to Dec. 7th. Love and Wisdom immediately reached out right after the hurricane and had amazing communication. Even though we had a switched in our officiant a few weeks before the date, there were no issues. Rodney handled the change so professionally. The ceremony script that was written by the previous officiant and edited by Rodney was beautiful. It had the perfect mix of romance, humor, and faith. We went through the script together, making any changes that my husband and I wanted. We had Rodney for both the rehearsal and the ceremony. He was professional and made us feel at ease when he could tell we were nervous. Everyone after the ceremony said how much they loved our officiant. Thank you Rodney and Love&Wisdom! -

Great experience withy Love and Wisdom for my wedding officiant. I loved the web site and the course nthey offered for my fiance and I to do before the wedding. It really opened up dialog between us and got us to talk about subjects that we needed to discuss before we tied the knot. Our officiant Jennifer was great and really jumped into our themed medieval wedding by even wearing a monk costume! 5 stars for sure! -

10/10 recommend! I am extremely grateful to Love & Wisdom for the wonderful ceremony they provided. It was definitely worth every penny to have a customized ceremony. Philip carefully listened to our preferences and went above and beyond our expectations. He was professional and kind. Despite some rain during our ceremony, he made it work, and there wasn't a dry eye at my wedding. I appreciated the ease of communication with Love & Wisdom. Philip and his team were available to answer any questions via phone or email. They treated us like family, not just a customer. I also really enjoyed the provided pre-marital questions for us to answer on our own time. I truly felt that this helped us solidify the foundation to our marriage. -

Simple and perfect

Love and Wisdom truly took the best care of us when it came to tailoring the perfect wedding ceremony to our needs. Kim was the BEST officiant. We got countless compliments from guests about how personal, eloquent, and sweet our ceremony was. It was truly such a representation of our relationship and she spoke to us as if we've known her our entire lives. We could not be more appreciative of the time and care that went into crafting our ceremony and also including my brother who said a prayer during the ceremony. From the moment we reached out to Love & Wisdom, their entire team was so responsive, sweet, and helpful. Based on a little information we provided about my husband and myself, the team matched us with the perfect officiant- Dara Kiely. I am not using the word perfect lightly here. Dara immediately reached out when she was paired with us, and stayed in communication with us the entire time. She sent us questionnaires to get more information about us as a couple and what we were looking for from our ceremony script, and then sent us an incredible first draft. It only took a few tiny tweaks to get it exactly right. She made what felt like an overwhelming task feel so easy. Dara also helped walk us through our rehearsal (highly recommend having your officiant present, though it's not required) until we felt comfortable and prepared. Her calm demeanor, clear direction, and outstanding ceremony script helped ease those day-before jitters. During our actual ceremony, she did a beautiful job officiating and helped us feel grounded in a big crowd. I can't tell you how many people came to us afterward to gush about how beautiful the ceremony was. Dara, and Love & Wisdom, we cannot thank you enough for making our day so special! -

We both agree that working with Philip was one of the best parts of wedding planning! Philip has a very straightforward and helpful process that included incredibly helpful emails and resources. I love the surveys to get to know us better, the online pre-marital course, and meeting up in person. He also came to our rehearsal the day before and I can confidently say he absolutely knocked it out of the park with our ceremony! Everyone raved about how beautiful it was - everyone (especially me) was crying and laughing the whole time. Philip's organization and suggestions were a huge benefit. We were able to pick from the ceremony script suggestions and tailored it to us even more, without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. I truly can't imagine a more beautiful and personal ceremony for us. Absolute perfection! -

Love & Wisdom Inc is absolutely amazing! We highly recommend using this company for your officiant needs.
We had Mr. Philip Lingle as our officiant and we are beyond amazed by the time and thoughtfulness that he adds every step of the way! Our ceremony took place in Marshall, NC on December 13, 2023. We opted to receive the Kiss & Go Package (short and sweet). Mr. Philip Lingle arrived at the ceremony well before it started and took the time to get to know my husband and I before hand. The words that he shared at our ceremony was personal and based on our love story. We did not expect to have personal words in our ceremony, so this was such a sweet surprise that we LOVE!
Mr. Philip Lingle expressed, before the ceremony, that he would put our Marriage License in the mail the very next day - this gave me much ease. Less than a week later I was able to go pick up our certified Marriage License from our Register of Deed office. I was so surprised/excited that this was done so quickly!
If you are in the process of researching an officiant, look no further! We did extensive research for officiants in and near Marshall, NC and we kept coming back to Love & Wisdom. One of our biggest reason is knowing that all of the officiants at Love & Wisdom Inc are "legally qualified to conduct marriage ceremonies." Love & Wisdom Inc is a wonderful company. We are so glad that we chose this company and that we got mr. Philip Lingle as our officiant. -

We had the pleasure of working with Rodney from Love and Wisdom for our wedding!! He was amazing and very professional! Prior to the event he did a wonderful job of communicating and really guiding us through the process of creating a ceremony we loved and reflected our values. On the day of, he was a wonderful officiant, even with some minor mic issues due to some intense wind. He did a great job of capturing our personalities in the ceremony, even making jokes with us about the wind which helped us relax and is really true to us as a couple. If you have stumbled upon Love & Wisdom and are wondering about using their services do not hesitate! We decided to plan a small ceremony in just two months time after years in a committed relationship. I'm not sure we would've pulled it off or had such a beautiful and personalized ceremony without them! When my fiance and I decided to plan our wedding for just two months away we reached out to an elopement company to see if it could be done. This other company made us feel that all they cared about was getting our business and not about us or any of our questions and hopes for our big day. I think I found Love & Wisdom when I decided about a month in to just plan the whole thing myself and I wanted to find a really great officiant, enter Love & Wisdom and our amazing officiant Jess Case. They were so incredibly helpful, supportive, well informed, and positive! I received a very speedy response and they were so communicative. They communicated with me throughout every step and worked with me to make everything work out so wonderfully. I had done a lot of research to plan my wedding prior to finding Love & Wisdom, but they sent me so much helpful and timely information that I am sure proves to be invaluable to their clients leading up to the big day. Jess Case wrote a beautiful ceremony for us and had a very calming and professional demeanor. We were looking for an officiant that would understand and respect our personal beliefs. Jess did that and more, she worked with us to create a ceremony that reflected our relationship and honored loved ones that could not be there with us that day. Love and Wisdom was a fantastic company to work with. They paired us up with an officiant that catered to the ceremony style we were going for. We wanted a personal ceremony written about our story/journey as a couple and Dimitry delivered just that with a touch of humor- which let me be honest is really great as you will be nervous excited and a few laugh’s definitely helps calm the nerves. We wanted to incorporate our friends and family into our ceremony and dimitry added in a section where we turned to our family/friends and they spoke back to us. We did blessings of the hands and had our wedding party read the message to us which was such a personal touch and great idea proposed by dimitry. We felt very comfortable with dimitry and he made is feel like we have known him for years. Everyone complimented the ceremony and how personal it was during the reception. I can’t recommend this company enough if you are looking for a company that will work closely with you and cater to your ceremony style you are looking for. 10/10 recommend! -

The Perfect Ceremony
My husband and I were recently married in Beech Mountain NC by the most amazing officiant though Love & Wisdom. Jennifer Ludders was matched perfectly to our desires for the ceremony and she excelled all expectations! We were impressed and pleased to have received a script for the ceremony prior to the wedding so we could add or adjust anything we wanted. Jennifer spoke clearly, loudly enough for those in the back, and with a great deal of love and respect. She always had a smiling face and was ready + professional on time. Our guests continue to rave about how beautiful the ceremony was! They also say it was the best ceremony they’ve ever been to. I cannot recommend this company, and specifically Jennifer, enough!

I waited a while to write this review because I wanted to have enough time to really express how I feel about working with Sarah Judy from love and wisdom. I'm not even kidding you when I say that not only me and my partner, but multiple people from our wedding's favorite part of the entire wedding was the ceremony. It was the most special, connected, and filled with love experience we have ever had. Sarah Judy and my partner and I connected from the very 1st phone call. She is an extremely compassionate and deeply spiritual and a full of love type of person. I was very surprised at how much work she put into our ceremony over the four months before ceremony began. Sarah was open minded and began creating our ceremony based on our interests, love, and history. We were able to add in ideas and items as we wished, and the ceremony ended up flowing unbelievably. At one point during the ceremony, I looked out amongst the crowd and everyone was either smiling or crying or both. It was the most beautiful moment of my entire life. Before we met with Sarah, I thought maybe their price was officiants was a bit steep, but I would've paid double that price to of had this experience again. Highly recommend this company as they are extremely attentive, intentional, and will give you exactly what you were looking for plus more. Sarah Judy, thank you for helping create and being apart of (so far) the best day of our lives. 🐝 -

We used Love & Wisdom as our vendor for an officiant and ended up with Philip. He was great with customizing our ceremony to fit us and was very patient waiting for us to send him our vows since we took forever to write them. He ran our rehearsal perfectly as well. We got reminders to get our marriage license too. We got a follow up email shortly after the wedding day with follow up information on him submitting our license which put my mind at ease, and even provided us a link for me to be able to easily change my last name (as easy as that process can be anyways). We are extremely happy we had Philip as our officiant and would highly recommend! -

With the ceremony being the most important part of our wedding day, we spent the most time vendor shopping-wise looking for an Officiant that we clicked with. After filling out a questionnaire on the Love & Wisdom website, they recommended Mikey Minor to officiate our wedding and he was perfect pairing for us. We are not local but while in town visiting our venue, we met with Mikey in person to get to know each other and talk through the process. Mikey was very easy to work with and he made the entire process easy. Love & Wisdom also send out informative emails throughout the process (i.e. reminder and instructions for getting your marriage license). Great company to work with and we'd highly recommend! -

We had the pleasure of having Rob Morris as our officiant, and it was easily one of our best decisions. Rob was so thoughtful, personable, and funny! We're very light-hearted people, and we really connected with him, which is huge! Rob really took the time to get to know us and used what he learned in our ceremony. We received so many compliments on our ceremony and on how great he was. The Monday after the wedding, Rob emailed us to let us know he mailed in our marriage license and wished us congratulations. Incredible, personable, and professional
We could not be more blown away by Rodney, our officiant through Love and Wisdom. Rodney was so professional right from the start, but quickly became a part of our family as he is so personable! He went above and beyond for our wedding day and was so patient with us when we had a sudden rain shower mid ceremony! He gave us many suggestions to include in our ceremony that were unique to our families and that everyone felt more joined together as a union. With the rain, it created an even more personal meaning to us as we did a hand tying ceremony to literally “tie the knot” something that is frequently done in European cultures. My husband’s family is from Ireland so we included this with Rodney’s help. We learned that rain is good luck because when a knot gets wet it is harder to undo, something Rodney added to our ceremony to make it all the more perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to bless us and help us start our marriage together! -

So incredibly happy we found Love & Wisdom for our officiating services. We initially planned to have a friend officiate our wedding but it fell through a few months before our big day. I took to The Knot in search of an officiant and came across Love & Wisdom. I reached out and from the very beginning was so impressed with their services. It was a little nerve-racking to go with a complete stranger for something that was such a big part of the wedding but our officiant, Rodney, absolutely killed it. Our guests spoke such high praises and said it was one of the best ceremonies they've ever witnessed. Rodney was so easy to work with throughout the whole process and so very helpful. He was actually booked for another wedding on the night of our rehearsal and Love & Wisdom made every effort to find a replacement for Friday's rehearsal so we could make it all work out. Kim Bentley did our rehearsal and was also super sweet and easy to work with. You cannot go wrong with booking Love & Wisdom!! Can't thank them enough! -

We chose Philip Lingle of Love & Wisdom because we felt that he would be able to blend together elements of the religiousness of our two very different backgrounds in a way that would respect and honor both. He was very helpful and worked with us to come up with a beautiful ceremony which reflected our feelings and beliefs.
As the day approached he was very helpful with important details (how to get a marriage license, change one's name if desired, etc). He was also very thoughtful about the health requirements today's world demands.
And in the end it was a perfect ceremony! -

Philip did a fantastic job! We originally wanted a friend to officiant our wedding but with the NC laws questioning the validity of getting ordained on the internet we had to find another solution. Philip was the perfect choice! He respected all our wishes when it came to the ceremony as we wanted a non religious one. He came up with a script for us to review and change if we wanted and it was a very stress-free process! Highly recommend his services. -

Philip was simply incredible! We could not have asked for a more dedicated, friendly, detailed, and involved officiant. He didn't just stand up and officiate, he offered advice along the way and made sure we understood everything. He created a ceremony that so perfectly showed who we are as a couple, using small details, as well as bits of humor, as that's something we very much appreciate. I know he officiates tons of weddings a year, but he has a way of making you feel like you're the only couple and it makes it so special. We cannot recommend Philip and this company enough. -

My husband and I got married in the Smokies and were looking for someone local to that area. As we are not religious we wanted to do a more non-traditional ceremony. Specifically we wanted to do a handfasting and wanted someone familiar with them. Enter Rodney. He was amazing from the start. He really heard what we were looking for in our ceremony and was familiar with handfastings as well as their history, having married that way himself in Scotland. He also provided a suggestion to us of using a Quaich or loving cup to toast our new marriage. As my husband needs no excuse to break out a good Whiskey, we were sold. The ceremony was completely tailored to who we are as a couple. We were able to involve our friends and our siblings. Rodney really heard what was important to us and provided us with options to fit us. I had so many people come to me after and say “where’d you find this guy” “he was perfect” (he was) or “that guy was hilarious” (he was). It was a truly unique ceremony that completely represented my husband and I as individuals and as a couple. -

Officiant Sara Judy of Love & Wisdom is quite simply amazing! The entire process from start to finish was so easy and the ceremony was truly a reflection of my daughter and her husband. It was important for them that God be mentioned, but equally important that no guest feel uncomfortable or left out. Sara Judy blended their desires perfectly. Her voice is so charismatic and genuine and she got to know the couple through questions and conversations, so much so that several guests assumed she must be an old family friend. Her professionalism and genuine kindness is a wonderful combination and we cannot imagine the day without her! -

Outstanding service. We loved working with this very professional and organized company. Loved their website where you can select and meet officients to find just the right person for your ceremony. Sara Judy did an excellent job from start to finish with expert guidance to us and a custom crafted ceremony that was so meaningful and personalized. She stayed in contact with our wedding planner and managed all details, showed up early, greeted guests, helped the members of the wedding party get in place, and made all us feel calm and relaxed. I don’t know where to start with how grateful and impressed I am with Justin Davis and the services Love & Wisdom Inc provided. My now husband and I were worried about finding an officiant that would portray the wedding of our dreams, keeping both traditional and nontraditional (nerdy) elements. We did not have an established relationship with a preacher or any other officiant and were very worried about going through this process without that person. My wedding planner connected me with this team and the founder paired us with the perfect person who would bring our vision to life. Justin Davis was amazing. He listened, took feedback, had fabulous communication, very professional and kind, and fit into our family very quickly. He wanted our day to be everything we wanted it to be and adapted so well to everything we asked of him. He prepared incredibly well and offered us questionnaires and emails to help let us get to know each other better. You would have never known that we had only met the afternoon before at the rehearsal dinner. Your officiant is so crucial to your big day and I would 10/10 recommend. Initially what I liked about Love & Wisdom is that they offer a range of officiants, who each bring a certain style depending on the vibe or religious touch that you're wanting for your ceremony. I spoke with Phillip, the owner, about what I was looking for, and he identified two officiants on his team that would be a good fit. During my consultation with Phillip, he did a great job of not only understanding the vibe that I wanted for my ceremony, but he also shared some pertinent information about the marriage license and obtaining a certified copy. Actually, the Love & Wisdom website also had this information, and it was helpful. Love & Wisdom has a professional and efficient process; we mostly communicated by email after I signed my contract with them. They were always responsive. During Covid, when I rescheduled my wedding twice, they were always understanding and were able to easily work with the latest date. My officiant, Jared, was very positive and easy-going. He put together the entire ceremony script and sent it to us for review/collaboration. During the actual ceremony, he did a great job of enunciating, sharing his enthusiasm, landing the jokes, and generally making everyone feel happy. Multiple people came up to me after the ceremony and complimented Jared for his professionalism and poise. My guests really enjoyed -- in fact, may have been surprised by how much they enjoyed - the ceremony. Jared was a great pick and overall, I had a great experience with the whole team!
