So happy with June and her team! From the start, I was easily able to book my bridal trial. She listened to my feedback from the trial, and my makeup for my wedding and rehearsal dinner looked exactly how I imagined. As someone who never got her makeup done before this, I wasn’t sure how to communicate what I wanted, but June knew exactly the right thing! I also worked with one of June’s makeup artists for a different event and was equally happy. Overall, June runs her business so that everyone is organized and on time. I was happy that I didn’t have to worry about ANYTHING with June (or hair and makeup in general) on my wedding day. She was easily able to accommodate even the pickiest of customers (my mom and mother in law) and hair/skin of all types. Everyone still looked stunning at the end of the night. My hair and makeup never looked better, and I was so happy I randomly learned about Love Notes by June when hiring vendors for my wedding. You can’t go wrong working with June and her ladies!! -

June and her entire team did a phenomenal job! At my trial, June was able to envision a beautiful updo and makeup look that was exactly as I envisioned but couldn’t quite put into words. Her team member Raquel put my mom at ease during her trial, and knew exactly how to do her makeup in a simple and classic way. The entire team worked quickly and professionally on my wedding day and made my mom and I, and each of my bridesmaids, feel comfortable while enhancing natural beauty. The day was unseasonably hot and our looks stayed perfectly throughout the night! Thank you June and team for your incredible work! -

June and her team were amazing! My whole bridal party and myself are not heavy (or even regular) makeup-wearers, so we all wanted a natural look with our makeup, which can often be more difficult to do than glam makeup. June and her team definitely delivered, using really high quality products including subtle, but still stunning, fake lashes. Our hair also all stayed put throughout a full day (we started hair and makeup at 8:15) and full night of dancing. Also, they were ahead of their projected timeline, assuring that we had plenty of time for getting ready pictures and other things on our tight timeline for the day. I couldn’t recommend them enough! -

June was my hair and makeup artist for my wedding in September, 2022 and she was an absolute pleasure to work with!!! Starting from my initial inquiry with her, to the bridal hair and makeup trial, to the actual wedding day, she made everything so easy and stress-free. June made me feel very confident that hair and makeup was NOT something I was going to have to worry about on my wedding day. During the bridal trial, I had a specific vision of what I wanted for my hair but wanted some advice from her regarding my makeup look. It was very clear that June had a ton of expert experience curating gorgeous wedding day looks from the suggestions she gave and how she explained everything she was doing!! She made me feel very comfortable and created such a beautiful make-up look that was natural but still enhanced my features and it was absolutely perfect. On my actual wedding day, June and her team were punctual and were so fun to work with! They helped make the morning of my wedding so memorable because they were so kind and had great conversation with all my bridesmaids and my mother/MIL!! Additionally, my mother does not typically wear makeup and she can be a little picky about how her hair and makeup are done but June and her team absolutely nailed it. My mom was so thrilled and afterward she joked that she needed June in her every day life hahah. Additionally, my natural hair type is very straight and fine but I wanted more volume for the wedding hairstyle I had in mind. June was so patient and helpful giving me suggestions on different ways we could accomplish the look. She ended up adding in some extensions from a brand she recommended and it was flawless. The extensions seamlessly blended into my hair to the point that even some of my bridesmaids were surprised I had in some extensions! As a bride, you want to feel beautiful and confident on your wedding day and June helped me accomplish that. I felt absolutely ethereal and both my hair and makeup lasted all night long!! Choosing to work with June was one of the best wedding planning decisions I made, I would hire her 10 out of 10 times again if I could!! Thank you again June!! -

Great experience!
June and her team did wedding hair and makeup for myself and my bridal party and some family members. Before the wedding day, June helped me secure the right hair extensions and perfect lip color. During the day of my wedding, everything was right on schedule and everyone in my party loved our hair and makeup looks! My hair can normally never hold a curl, but with June's expertise my hair lasted all night. I also had people of varying ages, ethnicities, and hair types in my party and June and her team made them all look great. Overall, great communication and a great experience. Would definitely recommend! -

I have nothing but positive things to say about June and her team! I used them for my May 2023 wedding and would 100% recommend them. From the booking process to the initial hair and makeup trial I had with Raquel (the artist who did my hair/makeup) to the communication leading up to the wedding... all of it was A+. June answered all of my questions promptly and set up an excellent day-of schedule for hair and makeup that went off without a hitch. I had 6 bridesmaids as well as myself having hair and makeup done, so we ended up working with 3 artists on the day of the wedding. They were all friendly, professional, and wonderful to work with, and they kept us right on schedule without things ever feeling rushed or chaotic. My "bridesman" had an unexpected issue where he had a scrape on his head and they were even able to cover it for us last minute. As for my look, Raquel and June CRUSHED it - they totally matched my inspo photos and took all of my feedback and requests to heart. In short, you should absolutely book June and her team if you want to guarantee a beautiful, stress-free wedding day! -

June and her team were absolutely amazing for my September 2023 wedding. Starting from the trial, June was able to capture exactly what I wanted from the inspo pics that I sent over for both hair and makeup, and took her time to ask me my preferences along the way. I also emailed her afterward with additional preferences/changes, and she was more than happy to accommodate. On the day of the wedding, June and her team worked very efficiently but thoroughly, and we were perfectly on schedule for me, a bridal party of 3, and 2 moms. June's team was so nice and lovely as well, and took extra time to adjust the moms' hair as requested. I really appreciated that June took thorough and precise notes during my trial so that there was no hesitation or confusion on the wedding day. As for the quality of work, let me just say that I was crying, sweating, and dancing - and my hair and especially my makeup somehow still looked completely perfect at the end of the night. Thank you to June for making me feel so beautiful and confident; I cannot recommend her and her team enough! -

I loved working with June and her team for my wedding! June is courteous, professional, and responsive. I have naturally curly hair and wanted to find someone who could work with my curls and make them look beautiful for my wedding day. June did exactly that and I couldn't have been more pleased with the way my hair turned out. The makeup was perfect as well. Highly recommend!! -

Recommend Love Notes by June
I would not hesitate to recommend Love Notes by June for your special event! My husband and I had a short engagement last year and planned a small wedding in only three months. I knew I wouldn't be able to find someone to do my hair and makeup with such short notice so I made a hair appointment at a salon and decided to do my own makeup. I realized two weeks before the wedding that that wouldn't work. In a panic, I quickly searched and found June.
I was looking for something more subtle and natural looking that would also look put together and special. I loved the makeup looks on June's website, and I saw that she had a range of different makeup styles - not the caked-on, severe looks that many other makeup artists seem to prefer. I thought it would be a long shot but sent a message anyway. June responded right away and although she was booked the morning of my wedding, she was able to squeeze me and my mother in before my ceremony.
She asked for preferences and really listened to what I wanted. I feel lucky to have been able to book her on such short notice. June saved me from so much stress and helped me to look and feel extra beautiful on my special day! -

June is not only incredibly talented, but she takes the time to really understand what you’re wanting and works with you to find the best look possible. I initially gave June an idea of what I was looking to do, we determined it wouldn’t be possible with my hair length and June helped me determine a hairstyle that was substantially better than the original idea I had in mind. June will give you honest feedback on the feasibility of your look in a way that is helpful, positive, and professional. June’s professionalism, prompt responses, and clearly defined terms deserves its own 5 star review.
After working with June I regret not booking her for my engagement photos or my professional headshots. I wish I had more opportunities to book her. I felt beautiful, confident, and my look lasted the entire day/ into the night, and photographed extremely well. -

June & her team were absolutely amazing! June listened carefully during my wedding hair and make up trial and talked through what would work best for my hair. She made my decision easy with so many hair styles to look through on her instagram! My mom had never had her hair or make up done before and was a bit nervous and June put her completely at ease and even convinced her to do fake lashes, which she was very happy about in the end.
On the wedding day the entire team was super professional and all of my bridesmaids were thrilled with the way their hair and make up turned out. My vision came completely to life and June perfectly captured the natural look I was going for while highlighting all of the features. I'd recommend June and her team to everyone and will be using her services for other events in the future :) -

I'm so happy to have found June and hired her and her team for my wedding this July! Her portfolio matched up nicely with the types of styles I like. Even without a perfect "vision" of what I wanted, June delivered hair and makeup I was really happy with and felt great with all day! She was also very professional, responsive to email, and was right on schedule on the wedding day. Her team was also great with hair and make up for moms and sisters, and rolled well with changing opinions of styles they wanted. They were also lovely to have around in general on our wedding day. June's work is WONDERFUL!
I originally hired June to help me with makeup for my engagement photos in October of 2019. Unfortunately due to my job, I don't always have a lot of time to make arrangements, but June was INCREDIBLY responsive and was able to squeeze me in! I was very happy with the makeup services that she provided - she had me send her some photos of the type of style that I wanted, and she was able to come up with something that worked well. I was very happy with the way the engagement photos turned out, and so I decided to go with June again for my wedding that was planned for November 2020.
Of course, this was before everything happened with COVID, and so my husband and I had gone back and forth about whether to postpone or go forward with our wedding. We ultimately decided to do a very small ceremony with precautions. June was incredibly helpful and professional. She took extra precautions to make sure that everyone was safe for the wedding (we all got tested before, and everyone was masked when possible). I am so happy with how my hair and makeup turned out for my wedding. It lasted the entire day with very few touchups needed, and she had taken a lot of care to make sure that she understood all of my preferences. I am so happy with the result, and I know that if I ever need hair and makeup services again, I'm going with June! -

I found June on Instagram from my sister (my maid of honor) and completely fell in love with her work. My now husband and I had a large wedding planned for November but due to the unknown state of COVID for the fall, decided to change our wedding plans to a smaller, more intimate ceremony with close family and friends this past September. June was SO accommodating with the change. She was so responsive and professional! Her work is so natural and beautiful. She made me feel exactly how I wanted to on my wedding day - myself! She also made us feel so comfortable the day of with all this craziness going on in the world. I highly recommend June for any special event you have! -

Stunning hair and makeup!
We had an intimate wedding this summer and although all our other plans had to change we were still able to have June and her team do hair and makeup! They made us feel super safe and protected while we were beautified. I don’t normally wear a lot of makeup (just mascara and lip gloss) so I wanted to look like a bride but still look like myself. My makeup was stunning and I couldn’t be happier with June and her team!

June did my hair and makeup for my intimate wedding ceremony at home in late July since we had to postpone our wedding because of the pandemic. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I don’t usually wear makeup or get my hair done, and June understood immediate the simple look I wanted. She was easy to work with, offered great suggestions about what would look good on photos. Since this is a trial for our actually wedding next year, we met in her studio. She went above and beyond to maintain cleanliness and prevent unnecessary contact to still be able to perform her work. I fell safe during the whole time and grateful that she decided to start working again during the COVID-19 era. I look forward to working with June for our wedding celebration in a year! -

Excellent Makeup Artist + Hair Stylist
I often do my friends' hair & makeup for events and was nervous finding a glam team for my wedding, as I've had hit or miss experiences in the past with make-up artists & hair stylists. It was particularly difficult to find a team because our wedding was in Portland, Maine and I'm from NYC - so I was quite unfamiliar with local artists. My photographer recommended June and it was one of the BEST decisions I made for my wedding. She helped me refine the look I wanted (given the location/season) and executed flawlessly the day of. Her team did hair & make-up for 11 women (2 moms, 5 bridesmaids, 3 sisters, 1 bride) + 2 flower girls - all on schedule and with everyone happy with their look. I looked beautiful but also quite natural and like myself. More importantly, I had zero stress about my look throughout the day thanks to June (I had a second hair-do + makeup touch up after the ceremony). I also appreciate that her costs are straight forward - make-up is inclusive of airbrush + eyelashes - so there's no surprise add-on fees at the end. I had a great experience with June and wouldn't hesitate to book her again or recommend her to any of my friends and family. -

I highly recommend Love Notes by June. June did my bridal hair and makeup for my wedding in November of last year, and her work was absolutely beautiful. I had a very specific vision for my makeup, and she took that inspiration and ran with it. She gave me a gorgeous red lip and dramatic (but very classy!) eyes. She hooked me up with airbrush makeup and lovely false lashes. And she gave me the tousled curls I was after. She's cordial and easy to work with, and replied to every email. She made me feel beautiful. I highly recommend her, and I look forward to working with her again in the future.

Luckily I was connected to June via a referral and am so glad that I ended up in her capable hands. June has many resources and stylists to make sure that the day goes off without a hitch. When I met with June for our trial, she expertly gave me advice about hair color, types of extensions I should consider that would be economically within budget and that she could work with the day of. I told her my vision and after seeing my dress, June recommended a more romantic style that worked perfectly for the big day, not to mention stayed in tact!
I had 10 additional people getting ready with me and June's team was able to stick to the time line efficiently and were easily able to recreate the styles my bridesmaids had in mind. Everyone, especially me, was beyond pleased with how easy working with June was and how gorgeous everyone looked. Couldn't recommend Love Notes by June more! -

June and her team did an amazing job with the hair and make up for my wedding. My hair and make up was flawless, and stayed perfect all day and night, despite pictures on windy cliffs in Maine and dancing all night. The models featured were so subtly and naturally made up which is precisely what I wanted. She specializes in enhancing your beauty, not concealing it. June effortlessly accomodated all of my requests and I've never felt more confident and glamorous in my life.

I found June on instagram because I loved how she has worked with brides of all ethnicities, which shows her skills are extensive. I booked June for my engagement photos a year and half prior to our wedding and her team did an amazing job! For my wedding day, I booked hair and make up services for 9 people including the bride. June and 4 of her teammates came at around 10am and we were done by 1:30pm. It is usually rare that everyone is content with their hair and and make up, but everyone was very happy that day! Even the lashes they used were very comfortable and beautiful. Throughout the planning process I learned hair pieces are very expensive to purchase, however June owns multiple pieces and I was able to rent one from her. June is very fun to work with, she is personal, responsive and friendly. Thank you June and her team!

They were professional and very open to any special requests that anyone had. They made the day-of process so easy. We also received many compliments from our guests regarding our hair and makeup. I was told several times that my makeup looked wonderful and that it perfectly enhanced my features while keeping things natural. I was also amazed that my makeup withstood 9 hours of wedding craziness! I absolutely loved my wedding hair style, and worked with June between my trial and wedding to decide how I wanted my hair to look and how to enhance details for photos since my hair is very dark. June provided very helpful suggestions and tried to help me figure out what would look best, since I am not very well versed in one makeup and hairstyles look the best on me. It was very easy to develop a working relationship and friendship with June and I would recommend anyone to work with her and her team.

I don’t usually wear a lot of make up, so I wanted bridal makeup that was not too heavy or thick. She did just that. She brought a crew of people on my wedding day, so there was no stress about timing. All of the bridesmaids and mothers looked gorgeous! It was also just fun having her around. She helped make the preparation time for the wedding super relaxing and fun. I would definitely recommend Love Notes by June. I will definitely use her again!

I had a very specific idea of what I wanted to look like on my wedding day, and June nailed it completely. She was extremely patient with me and made sure everything was just as I wanted it, especially my hair. I had a somewhat tricky desired style and she made sure it was exactly like the photos I showed her and never made me feel bad about being so picky. I could not have been happier with how the end result turned out!!! I felt so beautiful and everyone was complimenting me on my hair and make-up all night!!! The rest of her team took care of my bridesmaids, my mom, aunt, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law, and everyone looked GORGEOUS!
June is also super responsive via email and her prices are extremely reasonable. Another reason I chose to work with June is because she does both hair and make-up which is somewhat rare to find - it made coordinating everything so much easier since I didn't have to work with two separate teams, and it created a really cohesive look. I would HIGHLY recommend June and her team to anyone looking for professional hair and make-up, especially for a wedding - you will NOT be disappointed!! -

Instead of hiring 3 (or more) different professionals to do all of the above, you can just consult with this one stop shop for most of your special event needs!
June is a very good listener and has good eyes for details. She listens and suggests ideas/things that are tailored to your style and themes.
I am so happy that June helped with my traditional western wedding and Chinese wedding tea ceremony! Her passion for weddings makes her very good at what she does; from doing hair and make up to picking wedding gowns and accessories to finding bridesmaid dresses.
For my traditional western wedding, she helped me pick a gorgeous white lace wedding dress with matching lace veil; which was featured on theblacktiebride.com.
Also, I was having a difficult time looking for a bridesmaid dress. June helped me find a beautiful purple long chiffon dress that comes in 5 different necklines, so my BMs can choose a dress that fit them best.
She also did my make up and hair for my Chinese tea ceremony. She suggested a few different hair styles to match with my tradition dress (Qun Gua). She did a wonderful job on choosing a modern hair style for my dress and hair accessories. The make up was perfectly done, very natural yet dramatic enough for the camera.
I am very happy with my look in both events and was able to capture it in pictures that will last for many many years. -

I was really lucky to stumble upon June just from searching around for local Boston makeup artists. June and her team are fantastic. Our bridal party only consisted of 4 people, but each of us loved how our hair and makeup turned out. From a bridal point of view, I was very happy to work with June. Starting from the trial session to the day of the wedding, everything was well planned and communicated. Her team arrived on time on the day of the wedding and we were right on schedule. Even though space was a bit tight at the venue, they made it work.
June is clearly well experienced and it shows in her work. The team does hair and makeup that holds up flawlessly all night. They had to work with my mom and mother-in-law who didn't have a clear idea of what they wanted, but her team knew exactly what would work for them and they each loved their final looks while receiving plenty of compliments. June will gather the details about what look you're looking for and what your dress looks like during the trial then put her magic to work. She'll give you her suggestions and ideas, but will not be pushy about it. She also communicates clearly and responds promptly to email. I loved my final look on our big day and I'm so glad I was able to work with June! -

To begin I would like to point out that scheduling a time with June for a bridal trial took awhile because we kept emailing back and forth for available dates. This was frustrating because I had asked to instead speak on the phone so that it will be easier for the both of us, but that never took place.
On the day of the trial I had arrived before June got to the studio, which is understandable because things happen. But I just simply didn't feel a warm welcome. We went over some photos that I had for inspiration and had told June what I had in mind. As we were getting started I had noticed that Junes makeup products were all over the place and she did not sanitize anything before using it on me. For instance she just used mascara straight out of the tube and lip liners on me before wiping them down etc.
When trying to make conversation with June it made me feel awkward because I would ask her about the products she was using on me and she would just reply with "I don't know the name of it", or "I mixed the colors myself so I don't know". I didn't feel reassured about the products/brands she used on me, all she had to literally do was flip the product over and tell me the name of it. When it came to the false lash application they were very painful on me and I was literally tearing up non stop all she said to me was "I'll wait until you finish crying" I again told her they are uncomfortable and she said she will fix it after I stopped crying but then never ended up fixing it.
I also stated that I didn't like shimmer on my eye look but in the end she still insisted on adding shimmer and went ahead and did it anyways ruining the end look for me. I felt like when she did my base it ended up creating texture to my skin that I didn't even have to begin with... She did liquid foundation, then airbrush on top of it and then powder. When she did my eye look after there were fall outs and she couldn't really remove it so she covered it with some more liquid foundation under my eyes.
I honestly had very high expectations for my experience with June due to all of the great reviews of her work. I am sad to say I am disappointed and I wasted money on my trial.
