Always a pleasure
Kayla took our photos 10 years ago and we flew her out for our wedding on our 10th anniversary. Everyone kept telling me how kind and sweet she is when taking pictures and we are so happy to get one with her as well. -

Kayla was absolutely perfect! She is AMAZING and the photos are breathtaking! She made the whole experience fun and memorable. Fantastic photographer and an amazing person. She had so many wonderful ideas for the photos and was wonderful at capturing the feel and the spirit of our wedding. I have gotten so many wonderful comments and compliments from family and friends regarding the quality and beauty of the photographs Kayla took. Numerous people have told us how perfectly she capturing the love between me and my now husband. "The look" of love between us was capturing perfectly. My mother, who is a divorcee and not a sappy individual, told me that Kayla's photos "Made her believe in love again."
If you are looking for a photographer, you won't find someone as wonderful as Kayla. I honestly, can't speak highly enough of her. She was everything we had hoped for and so much more. She instantly felt like family and made the experience wonderful. Being a couple of dorky scientists, we were a little awkward, but Kayla helped us loosen up so quickly and have a wonderful time. The pictures are wonderful and I will gladly have her help with all of our special moments in life. -

So many wonderful things to say about Kayla! Professional, personable, and authentic are just to name a few. She is incredibly talented and makes each and every one of her clients feel special! She customized our engagement shoot just for us and over delivered! She gave us more than what was promised, and gave such a wide variety of shots. Our wedding day was no different! She was wonderful to our families and our guests and it honestly felt like having a good friend around to enjoy our special day with us. Kayla was amazing! I shopped around quite a bit and she was by far the most reasonable I found in the PDX area for wedding photos. My husband is not keen on being the center of attention and or getting his photos taken, but Kayla, with her calm and sweet nature, made the whole process feel very relaxed and natural. It is clear by watching her that she is talented at what she does! The pictures were ready in a matter of a couple days and she even put together a beautiful 10 minute slide show set to music of our choice in less than a week as a special favor to us, as we had a quaint ceremony and wanted it to show all our family and friends at the following weekend's big wedding reception bash. Kayla FAR exceeded our expectations and her services were seriously worth EVERY PENNY! Money well spent! Thank you Kayla for capturing our wedding day PERFECTLY! ~Maria and Joe Beinvenue :) -

Where do I begin on commending Kayla of Love Light & Lens? Two things I love about her: she is personable and flexible. I found her site, and fell in love with her work. But I immediately knew her work, although worth the price, was out of our budget. My husband and I had a small breakfast/beach wedding and a very limited budget. We thought we had to forgo a photographer all together. But I had a great feeling about Kayla and reached out to her. I told her my dilemma and it was a 20 minute ceremony with a short breakfast after, I asked if she could customize a package for our needs. She immediately responded, and to my surprise she instantly had a solution -that was in our budget!
Kayla met up with me shortly after and took the time to get to know me and my fiance. She made me feel great about my wedding and never held back any service, quality or professionalism through the entire process. Kayla was on time, fun and creative -my entire family loved her.
Now on to photo quality, the entire reason I fell in love with her. All her pictures were crisp. I have so many friends who believe they are photographers, but their work always gets muddled with too many filters and over editing. Kayla's pictures are like I am standing on the sand and looking at the ocean through my own eyes. Her work captured the exact moment and each shot was fresh, clean and beautifully framed . I could not have been more thrilled with the photos.
She had our photos available within a week and a half!!! I have never seen a photographer be so timely. When we reviewed the collection (which was not slim!), all the highlights had multiple options for us to pick from - they were perfect. I think my biggest issue, is buying enough frames - It is quite impossible to pick just a few to hang! Our time with her may have been short, but she didn't miss a single thing.
So stop shopping, and call her. I wouldn't have wanted to share my day with anyone else but her. -

Kayla was the best choice we made for our elopement in Oregon. She even squeezed us in on the July fourth weekend. The amount of time she spent with us was beyond the time we paid her for,and we truly appreciate all her effort and thoughtfulness. She recommended locations based on what we told her we liked from pictures. She truly cared about our plans and making our ceremony special. Thank you Kayla! -

Kayla was fantastic- she met with us at the venue before the wedding to brainstorm options, and the day of the wedding she had such a nice calm presence that it just felt like another good friend was at the wedding. She even helped me select which earrings to wear! She was an excellent director, giving gentle but specific guidance for the shots. The end results were simply stunning, with such lovely moments captured, and such a wide variety of shots. I would highly recommend her! -

It all started with me and my wife searching for a list of top photographers in Orlando to shoot our special day. We were planning for a simple but memorable wedding and it was truly important for us to have a great photographer to help and guide us on how to project this day for our memories of it later. Kayla was right at the top of the list as #1 on this list, and honest to say, after sending emails to other photographers for quotes and availability for the date, we are truly sure we couldn't have gotten a better pick. Kayla was amazing from the start to finish and her kindness, passion about moments like these and guidance was a wedding memory by itself. What is there to say about Kayla Salens, except that she is truly an artisan. She made my wedding look like it was straight out of a magazine. Her work is so clean and crisp, yet romantic. I loved her energy and peaceful spirit. As a bride and groom on your wedding you are being pulled in so many directions on your wedding day, yet she never made me or my now husband feel harried. I tear up every time I see the work she put into our special day.
She is very professional and makes every shot count. My favorite memory was her guiding us away from the joyful chaos of the reception and leading us out into an open pasture area and telling us to dance. Little did I know it, but an amazing sunset was behind us and she captured that. It is one of my favorite shots- one that is now hanging in our home. She captures the love and light- just like her website says. I adore her and hope that she gets to photograph many more weddings and make everyone feel as beautiful as she did me. -

I would like to start off by saying Kayla was amazing. Not only is she a fantastic photographer, she is one of the most down to earth and creative people I've ever met. From the moment I first met Kayla I felt comfortable in telling her my wants and needs. She helped me with photo suggestions when I just wasn't sure what I wanted. As for every bride, it was important to have my wedding day captured. Kayla did that and more. She captured our happiness and our love. Not just the love between my groom and I but also between our families. Because of Kayla I have the most beautiful pictures and wedding album. She provided me with a service and went above and beyond. I couldn't have asked for more. In fact she is so awesome that many of my family members and friends have utilized her for a variety of events. Pregnancy, engagements, family, boudoiur and of course wedding pictures. I HIGHLY reccomend Kayla Sealans to anyone and everyone. I will absolutely be keeping her around for all of my upcoming adventures in life :)

We were recommended Kayla as a photographer through another couple who had used her for their wedding. We first used Kayla as our engagement photographer in a state park. She actually suggested the the venue for it's natural beauty that would compliment our photos. She was able to capture our personalities in her photos and made us feel very comfortable by helping us pose. We then used her for the bridal shower photographer.We also used Kayla for our wedding photographer. All of her pictures turned out beautiful! She has the knowledge and instinct to capture the beauty of each moment. We are looking forward to taking pregnancy and family photos with her in the future! -

Just the other day a friend asked me, "Was my wedding as dreamy and beautiful as the photos made it look?" The answer is yes, but it is so nice that Kayla at Love Light Lens made sure that our memories were captured in a way that was every bit as beautiful as our special day. First of all, Kayla's photos are absolutely beautiful. I love her style and the way she uses natural light. I really don't know how she captures moments in such a naturalistic way that make everyone look lovely! You can tell she really has a passion for photography and it shows in her work. She captured every special moment of our special day...arriving early and staying past the time we expected her to stay. She took photos of all the special details (even though I had forgotten to ask her to.) I am so glad I have her photos as a special memento of our wedding day. In addition, Kayla is so sweet and easy to work with. She even checked in with me on the morning of my wedding to wish me well and make sure I had a chance to tell her any last minute things. She put me, my husband, and all our guests at ease when she photographed us. Since our wedding was planned at the last minute we hadn’t had a chance to meet beforehand, but by the end of the night I honestly felt like Kayla was a friend and guest at our wedding. Her prices are super reasonable especially given the quality of her photos and the above and beyond quality of her work. She had a preview of our photos ready a few days after our wedding and we received our CD soon after. I have recommended her to friends who were also so pleased and will continue to do so. -

She is so dedicated in her profession. And the best part of her pictures is that it is so natural, the background is mostly mother nature and I love that about her pictures. Kayla was an absolute pleasure to work with! She showed up early, stayed late, and was nothing but professional, kind, creative, and compassionate about what she does. Its been 2.5 years, and I still constantly get compliments on how beautiful my wedding photos are. Kayla has such a way of making the pictures fit to whichever theme you are going for, rather it be vintage, funky, classic, etc. Our theme was very modern, chic, and classy, black and white with touches of red, and our photos were very beautiful and modern, and she made the colors pop, they were very rich and crisp, just gorgeous and vibrant.
I have recommended her services to several of my friends that have also used her expertise, and they are happier than ever. I never got to use my complimentary engagement session she included in her package due to my own scheduling issues, and to this day, she still lets me know its available for when I am finally ready to take any type of pictures :) Thanks for everything Kayla!!! <3 -

Kayla is extremely talented and sweet. She made my husband and I feel very comfortable in front of the camera while she was photographing us. Our photos turned out so beautiful --- she is great with natural light. Her prices are so great, I was able to get beautiful photos of my wedding without breaking my budget. When she mailed out my CD with my wedding photos, it was in the most adorable package... I loved it. She really puts a lot of thought and effort into everything she does. She is also so friendly and helpful, and so easy to get a hold of! Whenever I had questions or ideas, I would email her and she would quickly reply. It was very professional and very comforting to know she was staying in close contact. Overall, a great service with amazing talent, quality, and excellent prices. What can I say about Kayla, and her photos, that you cannot already see by her work?! I first saw her photos after a friend’s wedding that she did & loved her style! Just a short time after that the love of my life proposed & I got to start the planning process! We decided to do an engagement session with her first. Before we did my husband was very reluctant & thought the idea of engagement photos were corny. As soon as we met Kayla we both felt so comfortable & at the end he was laughing as if no one else was there but me. I would recommend to everyone that they do engagement photos. It not only helps you get more comfortable in front of the camera, it will give you a chance to get to know your photographer & how they work. For me personally, the way Kayla uses natural light, is incomparable. Her digital photos are reminiscent of photos taken on film. We also chose her to be our wedding photographer. She helped me with little things, like how to set up my chairs to make them look more visually appealing in photographs. She helped me with creative ideas & truly went above & beyond! She understood our desire for more contemporary ideas, while understanding the need to satisfy our traditional families as well. I have had friends that literally only liked a handful of their wedding photos & I can honestly say that I loved everything that she captured from our special day. Every time I look at them it takes me back to that day, which was such a special celebration with the most important people in our lives. To have a photographer that can capture such beautiful moments like she did is truly priceless. She is very talented with very reasonable (and flexible) packages. Kayla was a dream come true for my husband and I. We are not from Florida so I was nervous in regards to finding a photographer that would be able to work with us in regards to giving us the quality pictures we wanted. Low and behold I found Kayla Selans photography. E-mailing with her back and forth made me feel more comfortable then my own photographer I booked for my engagement pictures, and not only that, she was 1/10 of her price (and not I'm NOT exaggerating with the price and might be underestimating the difference). The day I met Kayla I could not believe how comfortable my husband, child, myself, and family was with her. To be honest I felt like she was part of the family! She was a pleasure! She had amazing ideas and included everyone in our photography. She was not intrusive and she was great during the chaos of preparing! Before, during, and after the wedding she had so many great ideas for photographing us, and not only that, she was truly and whole heartingly excited! I cannot say enough how much of a wonderful person she is and we have also kept in touch on a personal level as well! She returned our photos in a week and they came out better then our $2,000 engagement photos we had taken in New York! Some of the photisvpeople commented should be in GQ or a bridal magazine for the lighting, coloring, where she had us sit, what to do, etc (of course we were amazing looking too! ;) I am always interested in seeing her newest work and there is no doubt when I go back to Florida we will be using her services again! My wedding in Florida was planned last minute and because of Kayla I can look at her pictures and remember every single moment of it. Even though some people may say it's only pictures, well these pictures are going to stay with me, my husband, and family for the rest of our lives and I cannot thank Kayla enough for that. You will NOT go wrong by using her, and I will always vouch for that! -

We are very, very pleased with the photos from Love Light Lens. As we live in New Jersey and were getting married in Florida, Kayla made it as easy as it was possible for us to set up our services with her and any meetings needed. Her prices and packages are very fair compared to other photographers in her market, which helped us out working with a smaller budget. One of the main reasons we chose Kayla was because of the way she incorporates nature and your surrounding environment with every picture and make each picture seem very organic. Though it rained on our wedding day, Kayla made the most out of what we had to use as a backdrop to our photos, but nevertheless the photographs came out perfect. Besides the great photos, Kayla was also there as someone to calm us on our nervous day and to be there for us when needed, which is a testament to her great attitude and friendly personality.
Being from New Jersey, we didn't expect to receive any finished product too quickly, but we received the first set of proofs and prints as quickly as we would have would we have gotten married in New Jersey. Not only does Kayla send you the prints or back-up CD, but she packages each with special little packaging that adds a personal touch.
One last reason that we would recommend Kayla to anyone in need of a photographer, is that she worked with the Groom, who was assigned to hire our photographer, and made it as easy a process as possible. -
