  We LOVED working with Steve!

  Steve was incredible to work with! He met my husband and me twice before our rehearsal, and Steve was an attentive listener and very organized. He walked us through thoughtful questions to learn more about our goals for our ceremony, elements we wanted to include or avoid, and learned about us as a couple. He was very open about his process & addressed every question I had. We got to review a full script of the ceremony with plenty of time to review & make changes, and Steve was open to all of the edits we requested.
  
  The resulting ceremony felt more special & personal than I realized was possible. Many of our guests asked how we met Steve, and said it seemed like we knew each other long before the wedding. He made my husband and I feel SO comfortable, heard, and the ceremony was personal & emotional (in the best way!).
  
  If you get the opportunity to work with Steve you'll quickly see that he is professional, mindful, organized, and will help craft a special ceremony that reflects your journey as a couple. My husband & I cannot recommend him enough!!!

  Would recommend for any marriage elopement/ceremony!

  Steve made our micro wedding/elopement ceremony absolutely wonderful! We met virtually as we live out of town, and Steve explained the process to us and sent us all the information about his services in a timely manner. Steve’s script is unique, inclusive, and heart-felt and we couldn’t have loved it more! As people who are not great with public speaking, Steve made us feel so comfortable when reciting the vows and ring exchange. Plus, Steve handles all of the after ceremony paperwork which is SO helpful! Highly recommend Steve’s services!

  Steve was AMAZING for our wedding. Would definitely recommend him!

  Steve worked closely with us to make sure we got the ceremony of our dreams. He was very responsive, and made sure to give us all the information we needed. He came to our home with a template ceremony and talked with us about how to make it personalized to us. He watched our body language, listened to us talk to each other, and asked us to answer questions about our love story so he could write a personable ceremony that was unique to our relationship. He was always timely, dressed professionally, and ran the rehearsal for us. We absolutely loved working with him and recommend him to everyone!

  Kind, Warm Officiant Who Took Time To Customize Our Ceremony

  Reverend Steven Reid was so wonderful. He offers zoom or in person meetings to get to know you prior to your ceremony. He took time to get to know us and our story to make sure that he could capture our love and communicate it to our wedding guests. He sent over a draft of the ceremony and let us have full visibility into every word that would be said. We were able to customize the religious language so that it felt right for us and inclusive of our guests. Several of our guests commented on how amazing he was, and my dad asked for a transcript of the ceremony to inspire his own upcoming wedding. Thanks Rev. Steve for helping us with the most important day of our lives!

  Professional and Personable Officiant!

  Looking for an officiant is hard! We came across Steve's information on various websites and the reviews encouraged us to reach out. We met with many officiants and none felt as natural and personal as we were hoping for - until we met with Steve. The process and communication were both so easy and professional. We enjoyed that we got to help write/create our ceremony script. We wanted to include certain spiritual aspects, but mostly wanted to share our love story with others. Steve crafted a wonderful ceremony templated and allows us to edit it as much as we wanted. Steve provided a rehearsal and showed up in a timely manner to our ceremony.   Working with Rev. Steve was easy, and we enjoyed working with him. We started with a Zoom meeting before we made the decision, and Rev. Steve was clearly more professional than other officiants we reached out to. We had an in-person planning meeting for him to get to know us and go through the script and options. I had little experience in doing this, but Rev. Steve was flexible and kind and directed the group very well during rehearsal. On the wedding day, Rev. Steve demonstrated leadership when he coordinated with us before the ceremony started as we didn’t have a day-of coordinator. I would definitely recommend him!

  The best ceremony thanks to Steve!

  Steven was the absolute best wedding officiant we could've asked for. He was professional, quickly responsive, personable, kind, flexible, and easy to work with. He took the time to get to know us over a video call and also met with us for coffee to get to know us and discuss our hopes and plans for the wedding day. We truly had multiple people at our wedding tell us they assumed Steven was a family friend of ours by the way he m spoke and made everything so personal to us.
  
  While we planned the ceremony with Steven, he provided a variety of examples, options, and outlines that made it much easier for us to start building something special together with him, but he made sure we knew we could make it look like whatever we wanted it to. He took all our preferences to heart, and provided us with guidance and suggestions as to the best way to incorporate all that we wanted to into the ceremony. He went line by line making sure we were happy with every detail, and never made us feel judged for anything we decided we did or didn't want to do or say. He was able to distill so much information into a succinct and beautiful speech. It couldn't have been a more perfect ceremony. He also turned in our marriage license for us after the ceremony, saving us a trip. It was the perfect extra touch! We can't recommend him enough!

  Reverend Steve is very mellow and down-to-Earth

  We started our wedding planning just 6 months prior to our wedding date and we were very excited Reverend Steve had an opening in his calendar. Our wedding was located in downtown Milwaukee whereas he lives in Chicago but he still drove to see us 3 times for planning meeting, wedding rehearsal and wedding day. He is very organized and intentional with his reading selections for your ceremony. He makes a strong effort to get to know the couple to customize your ceremony and add a couple jokes for your guests to smile and laugh about. He even asks whether you'd like him to wear a ceremonial robe or standard suit based on your religion or how formal your ceremony is. On the day of our wedding the ceremony started about 20 mins late and Reverend Steve did not rush our ceremony at all. He still made it feel natural and followed our agreed upon template.

  Jim and Kristi's Wedding 8-20-2022

  Reverend Steven Reid was a great choice as the Officiant at our wedding. He met with us a couple of months before the event to get to know us and he wrote a heartfelt speech describing how my bride and I met, fell in love, and became engaged. The wedding ceremony was beautiful despite the fact that it had to be moved indoors due to the weather. Reverend Steve made the adjustment, and several guests at the wedding commented on what a great job our officiant did. I would recommend Steven Reid to anyone looking to hire a wedding officiant.

  Reverend Steven was absolutely wonderful to work with!

  If I could give Reverend Steven 10 stars on here, I would - he was that great! We are so happy with our decision to have Reverend Steven officiate our ceremony and to tell our love story to our families. He met with us multiple times before our ceremony, took the time to understand our story, and pulled out the best details from us to understand what brought us to our wedding day. His style is very flexible (integrating as much or as little faith as we desired into our ceremony) and was extremely helpful throughout the entire process by guiding us and providing many options to make our ceremony a breeze. He even made a few day before updates for us, as COVID had impacted some guests' ability to join. Overall we are so pleased with Reverend Steven's professionalism and highly highly recommend booking him for your ceremony!

  Steven made our day so special! He lets you customize everything. He treats you like he’s known you for years. He was on time, dressed appropriately, and a great communicator. Our wedding wouldn’t of been the same without him!

  Pastor Steve is Phenomenal

  Pastor Steve officiated my wedding in August 2022. My husband and I had a pretty specific vision for what we wanted the ceremony to look like in terms of length, type of content, and personal additions. Pastor Steve was a fabulous steward of this vision. Our ceremony was everything we hoped it would be. Beyond officiating on the day, Pastor Steve was fabulous to work with during the planning process. He was easy to get to know, flexible in times to meet, and really took the time to learn my and my husband's story so he could speak about us at our ceremony. If you are looking to hire an officiant, I could not recommend Pastor Steve highly enough.

  We had Pastor Steve officiate our ceremony at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Lincoln Park. We had an amazing experience with Pastor Steve from start to finish. He met with us twice to get to know us and our story as a couple. We were out of town for some time and he was very flexible about being virtual or in-person based on our needs. Pastor Steve created a ceremony that perfectly captured what we wanted. He had some great suggestions after getting to know us and was very open to little changes we wanted to make. He made us feel very comfortable and totally ready for the big day when it came around! We loved our ceremony and felt that it was very special, and so did our guests. So many guests of all ages and backgrounds came up to us to tell us how wonderful the ceremony was. Overall, I absolutely recommend you go with Pastor Steve as your officiant.

  Our Perfect Ceremony, thanks to Steven

  We found Steven Reid from his online listing, after reaching out to a few possible officiants for our July 1, 2022 wedding. Steven was prompt, welcoming and informal in his communications with us and when we met him over Zoom for an initial meet and greet, we knew right away we wanted to work with him for our wedding.
  
  In the preparation (we met online a few times between securing him as our officiant, with emails back and forth), he walked us through a clear and thoughtful process of getting to know us, offering us a clear option that fit our budget for how we’d like our ceremony to go, with various places where we could personalize things.
  
  After our “interview” with Steven, he wrote a ceremony script that was very much us and we had very little suggested edits.
  
  Steven was such a strong and calm presence during our rehearsal and ceremony itself. Guests were raving about how our ceremony was “SO us” and that had a lot to do with Steven. If you are thinking about working with Steven for your wedding, do not hesitate!

  Warm, Friendly, and Accommodating

  Steven was a great officiant for our small wedding. He was receptive to our choice of location, despite the fog, wind, and cold weather (low 40’s). He never made us feel pressured to change anything at any point. Our ceremony started on time, and was beautiful.
